“Magnificent, isn’t it?” You turn to meet Admiral Reike, and turn again to look out the bridge window of the Undertaker, the aging Mandator-II Star Dreadnaught. The bow was slowly being reformed and reconstructed, and the damage it sustained against the Subjugator as well was being patched over. “Star Dreadnaughts, each one capable of inflicting devastating orbital bombardments on rebel controlled worlds. The Base Delta Zero Initiative requires usually a small fleet of Star Destroyers, but one Star Dreadnaught can subjugate an entire sector on its own.”

“And this ain’t your flagship?” you say in response. It’s impressive, you will admit, the might of the Empire. You have a bad feeling though, standing next to Admiral Reike. A very bad feeling. Still, he hasn’t proved you wrong, and he has been straight with you every step of the way.

“It’s too obvious of a flagship,” he says. “The Redeemer serves its purpose well anyway. But imagine, if we had a single Star Dreadnaught per sector, this Rebellion would be over within days. And with the newer designs coming within a year or two.” He shakes his head, scoffing a bit. “Goodbye, Rebel Alliance.”

You cross your arms. “Why bother with the Force Harvester then? Planning on keeping it out of Rebel hands.”

“Rhys. I have been made aware of your apparent skepticism of the Force, but let me be very clear with you. It is a real thing.” He nods to you, staring out the window. “I fought in the Clone Wars, alongside the Jedi. The Force was not just a weapon, it was an ally. But now that the Jedi are gone, the Force left with them, we must find other ways to… wield it.”

You narrow your eyes at him. “You’re planning on using that thing? Against what?”

“Rebels,” he says. “What else?”

“That seems a bit overkill,” you say. “I’ve read the stories about the Dark Reaper, that thing could eat entire worlds worth of people if left alone. And very few people could stop it. I’m not even sure anyone could stop it if it were to come back.”

“You’re answering your own question,” Reike responds simply. He turns to you, placing his hands on his hips, his face wrinkling with a bit of skepticism. “I am detecting a bit of hesitation in you. But rest assured, I will not abuse such awesome power for my own petty gain. I know there are forces at work greater than me. And rest assured, you will be compensated quite well.”

“That’s not it,” you say. “I mean- Think about it, Admiral.”

He holds up his hand. “Rhys. Have you ever wanted a second chance?” You blink. After a few seconds of silence, he continues. “I realize that maybe your skill is being wasted as a smuggler, treasure finder, whatever you want to be called. You’re forced to use scrappy old ships, collude with criminal scum, but I can offer you something greater than yourself.”

“… if you’re thinking of making me re-enlist,” you say. “You can forget it. I’m done with that. Besides, once you’re expelled, they don’t let you back in.”

“I’ll find a way.” He places his hand on your shoulder. “I always find a way, son. I fasttrack you through the Academy. You become more than a test pilot, you become an ace pilot. You lead your own squadron. And when that’s done, we rotate you into a Flight School, you teach the next generation. I’m offering you a second chance.”

A second chance. You take a deep breath, then look around the bridge. A few sneers and some jealous glares are quickly averted by some curious officers. Hm.

“Let’s talk later on this, Admiral.” He takes his hand off you, clasping them behind his back. “I mean, people like me that talk about getting out after one last score like this? Usually we end up getting vaped or being stabbed in the back. Lady Luck has it out for people who think they’re going to win.”

He smirks. “Fair enough.” He wags his finger at you, nodding. “We can discuss this perhaps after you have located the Force Harvester for us. Until then, let’s get on with business.”

“Have you tracked the Subjugator any?” you ask.

Reike nods, turning to the window again. “We’ve figured out a potential destination along their last known trajectory. They were heading for Wild Space.” An aide hands him a holopad, and he is quick to show you the potential destination. “Their destination is most likely this uncharted planet in the Wastes. It’s an aquatic planet, and I have already deployed AT-EDs modified for aquatic operations to that sector along with the ISD Assertor.”

“What makes you so sure the Subjugator is here?” you ask.

“Because we have reports of rebel activity in this part of Wild Space,” he says. “And we believe that this so-called ‘General Nautilus’ may be attempting to enlist Rebel Alliance help with his plans. Not only is this planet off of our official star maps, but we believe this planet as well to have been a former battleground in the Mandalorian Wars. Which means there will be tons of raw materials for Nautilus to scavenge to make more droids.”

“Right,” you say. “Have you heard from the Assertor?”

“We are still in contact with them,” he says. “They currently report nothing out of the ordinary but to make sure I want you to go and check things out. We will have Interdictors follow up. Can you do that?”

“Sure.” You sigh. Aquatic planets, great. At least you’re not dealing with Selkath.

“One last thing.” He crosses his arms, squinting at you. “We believe that the Rebel Alliance squadron known as ‘Menace Squadron’ is operating in the area somewhere. We believe they may be using this planet as a home base of some kind. They are led by your former classmate Eudora Kyriako.” You nod. Did she survive? You haven’t even thought of her in so long really actually. “If you find Eudora. Bring her to me alive if practicable.” You quirk your brow. “I want to interrogate her personally.”

You’ve briefed the crew on what was going to be happening as you traveled through hyperspace to the Uncharted Planet. Right now, it was a matter of getting there. You stand in the machine shop, watching R5 and Misri try to restore Lev back to operating condition. But so far, things haven’t gone their way. He still lies on a workbench, inoperable, apparently permanently in hibernation mode. Whatever Nautilus did to him can’t have been good. “This is a disaster,” says Misri. “I can’t even access his records.”

“Why not?” you ask.

“Imperial Tactical Droids are designed with a number of countermeasures to keep their data from being stolen by rebels,” says Misri. “Nautilus tripped all of them. If you hadn’t ripped out those explosives during that fiasco with the Bailiff, he’d be in pieces rather than whole right now.”

“We have to keep trying at least,” says R5. “Lev is an important part of this crew. I’m sure you understand that, sir.”

“I do,” you say. “But right now, our priority is finding the Force Harvester. Lev will have to wait.” Misri sighs deeply, folding her arms in depression. “Is something the matter, Misri? You haven’t been as er… cheerful in a while.”

“Oh, suddenly you care?” she asks.

“What’s this about?” you ask.

She huffs, turning back to pick her tools up from the workbench. “It’s…” She turns around again. “There’s something about Admiral Reike. Okay, don’t you think there’s something wrong with handing over something that important to him?” You shrug. You’ve thought about it. Quite frankly you don’t want to think about it anymore. “Come on, Rhys. He gives me the creeps, okay? Him and those Inquisitor girls that he hangs around with.”

“Misri, it’s just business, sometimes we do things we don’t want to do,” you say.

She rolls her head, shaking it. “Well, if I were you, I’d give it a bit more thought.”

“Look. He’s reliable, alright? Creepy, yes. But a reliable employer is more rare in this kind of galaxy than you think. Just trust me on this. I’ve given it thought, and I am not simply going to up and run out on him. And if I wanted to, he’d probably vape us without a second thought.”

Misri sighs, keeping her arms closer to her chest, looking away. On her belt, you see her lightsaber, at least one of the halves of it. She’s developed a way of disguising them as simple tools on her belt, to keep Imperial security guessing. Not that it’s really necessary anymore since you work for them now. She says to you, “Don’t take it the wrong way, Rhys. I’m sorry. But… well-“ She shakes her head. “I just want to be sure you’re not going to run somewhere I can’t follow, where I won’t follow.”

“I know you’re going to be with me for a long time, Misri,” you say. “You’re part of this crew.”

I’m a Miraluka, the last of the Miraluka! Don’t you realize that!?” She steps up to you, looking into your eyes despite the lack of her own. “I want to help people, and we aren’t doing that working for the Empire!”

You place your hands on Misri’s shoulders. “We’ll help others, when they help us. That’s the golden rule,” you say.

She shoves your hands away, frowning. “It’s a stupid rule.” She turns around and goes back to working on Lev.

What are you going to do with her? You look over at R5, who slowly turns his dome back to look at Lev.

“The Force Harvester?” He shrugs as he sits on his bed, polishing off the components of his DE-10 Blaster pistol. “Bluntly speaking, you’d be stupid to hand over something that powerful to someone who’s been convicted of war crimes in the past, been part of several ‘liberations’ of rebelling planets, and has even been called the Sterilizer of Geonosis,” he says bluntly.

You cross your arms. “Don’t tell me you agree with Misri.”

“I do,” he says. “The Force Harvester is dangerous. It’s capable of immense destruction if put in the wrong hands. I want to see it destroyed, or if not that sent somewhere where no one can ever find it. You can’t just assume that he’s going to put it away in storage for safekeeping, Rhys.”

“Look, he’s been honest with me, he’s given me my pay, he’s straight.”

Kuvasz shakes his head, looking over the barrel of the DE-10. “Honest does not make goodness.”

“So what, you’re going to threaten to leave me too?” you ask.

He shakes his head again. “It’s not in my place to tell the youth what to do and force them to do things they don’t want to do.” He places the DE-10 in his holster, then hunches over and looks you in the eye. “Rhys, it is up to you alone to realize the implications of something like this. You can’t go your entire life believing in just a payment. Sometimes there are things bigger than you, bigger than all of us.”

You lean on the doorway, frowning. Figures that the one Mando you regularly interact with would actually agree with Misri. Any other Mando, maybe even the Warmaster and the Furies, they’d probably just tell you to rip stuff up and tear things down. “Kuvasz. Say if I were to give the Force Harvester to Reike, and if he were to use it to start wiping out entire worlds. What would you do then?”

He stares at you, unsure of what to say it seems. So you finally stumped him. He shrugs. “I’d probably shoot him.” Oh. You blink, that’s a surprising but… not so surprising response you guess. “Then I’d shoot you.” Oh. Alright then. “But I know it won’t come to that. Want to know why?”

“Why?” you ask.

“Because I know that you will make the right decision. You’re a good man, I can tell, Rhys.” He smiles a little. “Even you won’t allow something like that to come to pass.”

You nod slowly. He’d shoot you, eh? Hmph. At least he’s being honest. “Well, besides that, I’d probably kill you first,” you respond.

“Maybe.” He chuckles a little. You chuckle a little back. You’re not sure why, it is kind of funny on the surface. The implication that the two of you would probably kill each other over something like this, hilarious.

You finally arrive at the Uncharted Planet. The ISD Assertor is already in your view, in orbit over that bright blue ball of a water world. If that thing is allowed to orbit the planet, it must mean that the Subjugator isn’t here, or it may be somewhere on the surface. It’s a pretty big ship, so it can’t be hard to miss.

The Lion’s Share isn’t equipped for submersible operations, nor are the fighters either. Which means you only have maybe Kuvasz to help you, and one other person to dive into the deeps with you if they take one of the Stormtrooper suits. Who should you bring down with you?

>>
>>45707212
It will be slightly lighter than your average SCUBA kit, which (including gear and suit) will weigh in between 45 and 60lbs, since the armor alone will weigh in at 15kg, or about 33lbs, throw in weapons gear and you might make it 40lbs.
>>
>>45707429
If that's the case won't we sink in the water?

I mean Kusvaz's armor wears way more then a stormtrooper.
>>
>>45706865
>> Misri
>>
>>45707492
We'll obviously sink if we don't swim, but just like SCUBA gear a standard set of trooper armor shouldn't encumber the wearer by dragging them down to the point where they can't resurface.

As to how heavy is too heavy, I wouldn't know. I've only used a SCUBA apparatus once or twice, but both times I was wearing a full sized tank and it didn't give me any noticeable trouble surfacing. I think you'd have to be nearing 100lbs of gear (that's above water) to start pushing the weight limit that you can tow back to the surface, but don't take my word for it because I'm just speculating.
>>
>>45707718
I guess my main worry is that the actual Scuba gear was designed for underwater operations. Our armor is at best an improv with a lot of limitations.
>>
>>45707765
That is true, the stock trooper armor is less like a SCUBA and more like an NBC suit with a limited self contained air supply.
>>
>>45707851
Which was the point of the SCUBA Trooper. So my main concern is how will Rhys, Kuvasz, and Whisper will propel themselves underwater?
>>
> Whisper

Whisper puts on the Stormtrooper. Her back-mounted arm of sorts had to be discarded so she could wear the air tanks on her back as well. She wasn’t happy about that judging by how she was sitting in the cargo bay, sulking a bit at the lack of its presence. Misri carefully checks your armor and makes sure that everything is sealed. If there’s even a crack in anything, you’ll be fishfood. “Alrighty.” She nods to you. “You’re good.”

Vikker rolls his shoulders, clicking his tusks. “Remind me again why we’re diving to search for a spaceship?”

“Since it’s nowhere on the surface or in orbit, we might be reasonable to assume that it might be somewhere in the ocean hiding.” It’s farfetched but you’ve heard crazier. You remember stories of Acclamators making water landings to land SCUBAtroopers directly into the water. “Besides, you could use the exercise, Vikker.”

Kuvasz attaches his safety cable to his belt. “Are we going or not?” You nod, walking up to the edge.

“Remember,” says Misri. “You only have about an hour of air, so try and make things quick.”

You nod. “Alright. Let’s go.” The four of you stand at the edge of the elevator, then jump into the water. The temperature is already chilling at your skin. This water must be freezing, even with that star its orbiting casting so much light on it. Kuvasz taps his helmet, then gives you a thumbs up. Vikker as well gives you the A-OK signal, as does Whisper. “Alright,” you call. You start wading through the water.

This particular part of the ocean should be shallow, no more than several hundred feet deep. The reason you chose this part of the ocean was because Assertor was detecting some power readings in this area. Right now, all that was at your ears was the rushing and waving of the water around you.

“There!” says Kuvasz. He points ahead. Coming into view now was the sight of Old Republic cruisers, sticking out of the sands and rocks. Reike was right, this must have been an old battleground. There must have been dozens of ships here, of unidentifiable class, sticking out of the ground. Their metal hulls were being eaten away by barnacles and coral growing off of them it seems. Maybe this is what these strange power readings were.

Lets make sure there isn't anything dangerous in the vicinity.
After that we should find some way to test the structural integrity of any wreck we want to explore, we wouldn't want any rusting supports to fail and have to deal with someone getting pinned inside of a sunken ship.

You guys have any idea what things or loot we might find in here?

Hopefully Aqua Trooprt Equipment.
>>
>>45708574
Well, the Republic Cruisers should definitely have clone-wars era gear in bulk.
Since it's built for operation under water, I'd hope that whatever we find will still be functional to some degree.
>>
>>45708829
Maybe more droid stuff as well from the CIS.

True, although most CIS gear is produced cheap and it probably wouldn't fare as well submerged for years, unless specifically designed to do so.

That may be true, but even if they were using aqua droids, I'd assume that many of them would be filled with blaster holes and thus no longer water tight.
At that point I'd assume that most of their internal components would have gone to shit by now.

You force yourself into one of the Republic cruisers, and find that there are pockets of air in quite a few sections. It seems the old ship still has some good make left. Kuvasz and Whisper force open a door, letting you and Vikker walk in, blasters at the ready. You look around, the lights are on. Either the reactor’s been working all this time or someone is in this ship with you. “Vikker, you detecting anything?”

“Nah,” he says, holding up a scanner. “Wait. Over there.” He points down the hall, where the lights are flickering and water is dripping in from the ceiling. You motion for your crew to wait where they are as you slowly walk up along the wall to investigate. You keep your hands on your DC-17 and the DL-44, prepared to make a quick and stealthy strike.

Once you get to the corner, you peek out to see a pair of B1bis Battle Droids, Nautilus’ make. “How come we always get the stupid assignments?” one of them says. They are busy tearing off a good piece of metal from the wall.

“We’re expendable, don’t you remember?” says the other one. “The Boss made it very clear, ‘you’re built to be thrown at the enemy. And in emergencies, you are also bombs.’”

“Wait.” The welder stands up, then lifts up his welding mask. “We’re bombs?”

“Yeah, we have bombs implanted in us, and if need be…” The droid pulls a pair of grenades off of his chest. “We just take these and go on a suicide run.”

“… why do I get the feeling that maybe we’re on the wrong side?”

“Get back to work.” The welder shakes his head, grumbling as he goes back to welding.

Alright, so Nautilus is here.

You motion everybody over, they’re quick to stealthily come by you and crouch down. Once the droids are down carving out the plate metal, they pull it out of the wall and start carrying it down the hall. Time to follow them. You stand up and slowly creep up with Vikker, Whisper, and Kuvasz. “Say,” says the welder. “How many droids do you think this metal will make us?”

“Maybe two,” says the other one. “Why do you even bother asking?”

“I’m just asking, you think that the Boss is planning something?”

“Of course he is!” The two droids head down a flight of stairs, where you stop up and wait. They step off at the next floor down and keep going. Time for you to go on now. “You remember the Force Harvester thing? And how we’re going to mount it on the Subjugator? And how we’re going to start wiping out all the worlds until nothing is left?”

“Not really, my long-term memory programming is kind of shoddy,” says the welder. “All I remember is turning on all the hydrostatic bubbles so the ship can at least work underwater. Now that was a pain in the motivator.”

“This is why we’re B1bis droids and not the Commandos, they are so much smarter than us,” says the other one sadly.

“At least they’re not walking bombs,” says the welder.

“True.”

You stop, then see them walk into a concourse, probably the central hub of the ship. In there is a huge pile of scrap where other B1bis droids are busy dropping scrap material and circuitry in, with a BX-Series Commando painted echani white overseeing the process. “Took you long enough,” he says to the two B1bis droids.

One of the B1bis walks over to the Commando. “Sir, we lost contact with one of the salvage teams.”

“Get a squad and investigate,” he commands. A squad of five B1bis droids goes off down one of the halls to see what happened.

Hm, in this room alone, only ten or so droids.

You fish around your belt, then pull a booma out from it. Here we go, you’re getting flashbacks to grav-ball back at Flight School. You step out from the corner and hurl it at the Commando droid. He turns his head, and before he can even react, he gets pelted in the chest by it. He twitches, shaking and whirring in electric pain, before dropping entirely. His head lights up, aflame from the internal thermite bombs set in them. “Hey!” The B1s all turn their heads to you. “That’s not very nice!” says one of them.

“Neither is this,” says Vikker as he blasts his head off. The other B1bis droids draw their weapons and start firing at you, their shots are much more pinpoint and precise this time, forcing you to find cover behind scrap and columns jutting from the wall. Kuvasz steps out, firing his DE-10 blaster at them first. He knocks the heads off of two, then strafes behind the scrap pile. You look over to Whisper.

“What are you doing!?” you yell. She’s pulling off her helmet and her armor as well.

“This armor is too restrictive!” she shouts. She tosses down the helmet. “I can’t see anything in that helmet either!” She ends up in nothing but the wrappings and plates around her chest, her shorts, and the wrist and shinguards. She charges at the B1bis droids, dodging their blaster fire with the adept flexibility of a Command droid.

“What the-“ One B1 is immediately beaten down to submission. “It’s an Echani!”

“I thought they were on our si-“ Whisper grabs this B1, then smashes his head into the wall. Another B1 charges her from behind. A big mistake, as Whisper grabs him, lifts him above her head, then smashes his spine against her knee. She tosses the remnants away.

You, Vikker, and Kuvasz can only watch now as Whisper absolutely tears the entire group of droids apart. In just a few short minutes, they’re nothing but twitching, smoldering wrecks. Whisper huffs, grumbling as she rubs her knuckles. “… remind me not to annoy her,” says Vikker.

Whisper looks over at you, then bows to you. “I am sorry if I was overeager.”

“It’s a shame you aren’t this eager when you’re in my room,” you say. She quirks her brow, tilting her head confusedly. “Look, warn us next time. I don’t you to run into our lines of fire.”

She nods to you. “Very well.” You hear more blasting coming down the hallway. Before you can say anything else, you’re already running to see what the noise is. You can investigate the wreckage of the droids later. You hurry through the halls, trudging through puddles of leaky water and through dark hallways until you reach another concourse area. Judging by all the tables flipped and turned around, it must be a mess hall.

Inside were the droids, firing upwards at unseen assailants before being sniped by blue and green blaster bolts. You hold up everyone. You’ve got a weird feeling about this one.

“We know you’re there!” yells someone. “Show yourself!”

“And what if I don’t want to?” you ask.

“Wait!” You blink. That voice. “Rhys, is that you?!” Eudora! You step into the mess hall, and look up at the second level to see Eudora poking her head up from some railings, wielding an S-5 Heavy blaster pistol. Next to her are some members of Menace Squadron as well, along with over a dozen sorry looking Mon Calamari. “… what are you doing here!?”

“No, no, I’m here by myself,” you say. “And my crew.” Not counting the Star Destroyer in orbit. Or the impending arrival of Reike’s fleet should you find the Force Harvester.

Eudora squints, looking at you skeptically. “You’re still working with the Empire. Aren’t you?” The Mon Cala start aiming their blaster rifles at you. You realize the score now. You’re not of much use left to Eudora now. But Eudora might be of use to you.

The Menance Squadron pilots all glance at each other, nervously. Eudora however assuages their concerns by addressing you directly. “Fine, you’ve got ten minutes to explain yourself. We’ve got nothing but time down here anyway.” She hops over the railing, and walks up to you, dressed out in the orange flightsuit as is standard for most rebel pilots. She holsters the heavy blaster onto her belt. “Why are you here?”

“The Seps have something I want,” you say.

“It’s the Force Harvester, isn’t it?” says Eudora. You blink, how did she know? “Me and Menace Squadron have been hunting down Nautilus ever since the Katana Fleet fiasco. We thought we could trust him, it turns out he wants to use that to wipe out life in the Core and the Inner Rim systems. Everything, Emperor Palpatine, Coruscant, Darth Vader, all the Academies, everything.”

“Wouldn’t that be good for your Rebellion?” you ask.

“That’s billions, trillions of people even,” says Eudora. “They might not agree with what we think, that doesn’t mean they have to die.” Eudora places her hands on her hips, giving you a very stern look. “We can work together. The Subjugator has made a home here underwater to try and scavenge the metal and debris here. But while it’s underwater, it’s vulnerable. All those turbolaser towers won’t function underwater.”

You look up to see Jacko and the rest of Menace Squadron looking down on you two. You look back to see Kuvasz, Whisper, and Vikker ready in case things go south. “Why would Nautilus bring his huge ship underwater?”

Droids have all the time in the world to hide, and every day, Nautilus gets closer and closer to finishing the weapon that’ll mount the Force Harvester and allow him to start wiping out planets.”

“Right, right.” You sigh, shaking your head. So this is what it’s come to? Working with the Rebels now? Maybe Reike will understand provided you make sure Eudora comes to him. “Do you have a plan?”

I don't like this. The rebels are severely understaffed and lacking in munitions. You can't expect them to plant enough charges in such a short time across the whole ship that the ship is destroyed and the Force Harvester lost to the depths, especially not if the Empire is that close to actually recovering it. That's too narrow a gamble.

> Force the Subjugator into deeper depths. A ship of that size can’t possibly survive pressures in deep waters without crushing under its own gravity.

“It’s a really big ship, no ship that size can survive underwater even with thick armor like it has.” You motion around the ship. “Look at this thing. It’s barely holding together and it’s not more than a couple of hundred meters beneath the sea level. If we force the Subjugator down deeper, the pressure and the water will take care of the rest for us,” you say.

Jacko responds with, “They’ve got Aqua Droids and all kinds of stuff for handling underwater work though.”

“Yeah, but those are specialists, and outside of the water, they’ll die like any other droid,” you respond. “Do you know where the Subjugator is?”

One of the Menace Squadron members, a Polis Massan tugs on Jacko’s sleeve. He wildly signals and gestures with his hands, apparently communicating with Jacko through some kind of sign language. “Beezie’s saying that the Subjugator is docked next to the continental slope, it’s an intense drop off into the abyssal plains from there.”

“Perfect,” you say. “We drop the ship down into the abyss, the Force Harvester goes with it.”

“Just one problem though,” says Eudora. “We only have a few submarines, none of them are equipped for submersible combat, and we’re facing aqua droids and subcarriers with Manta subfighters.”

“So?” says Jacko. “I got an idea.”

[1/2]
>>
>>45715040
Their military was shit until late 30s early 40s actually.
>>
>>45715099
[2/2]

Eudora plants her face in her hands, groaning. “Jacko, not another one of your ideas.”

“No, no, this one is going to work,” he says. “We shut off the hangar shields and cutoff power to their emergency bulkheads. Water floods in through there faster than they can put up ray shields to stop it. And the Force Harvester gets thrown down into the depths too.” That… actually doesn’t sound too bad. Eudora seems skeptical though. “If you want, I can lead the team. I’ll take Jessie and Beezie here, we can do it, Eudora.”

“Alone, no.” She turns to you. “But with you and me, yes.” Jacko rolls his eyes, frowning but apparently reluctantly agreeing.

Great. Going back into the ship you just escaped from. How quaint.

Misri has been nothing but trouble from the start, and if Kuvasz gets butthurt over this that's his problem. The old republic was stagnant, not stable. Between the Senate and the Jedi, pretty much nothing was allowed to happen. Look at the technology of 3000ish BBY and compare it to 20 BBY. Close to zero change. Borders? Zero expansion. People? Living pretty much the same as they did before.

The Empire got shit done.

She and Menace Squadron are trained to act as saboteurs and infiltrators out of their X-Wing. >>
>>45715590
>A rational actor is one who maximizes self interest.
First, keep the name-calling to yourself. Second, that's a very narrow view of treating things, and it's a view that the likes of Misri and Kuvasz are explicitly trying to broaden. It's not merely for their own personal feelings, but - as far as they feel - it's also for Rhys's own well-being as well as the sake of the galaxy as a whole. They believe that putting the galaxy in even more intense peril is not worth the paycheck, and that no one - especially not Rhys - should not have such a thing on their conscience.

Yes, it is. Societies work best when homogenous, so non-humans should be kept out of any sort of decision making role. At the same time, they can be used for labor. Slavery is the logical answer to.

The only thing retarded about the death star was its achilles heel, which really nothing but a plot device that can just be chalked up to bad writing. The general idea was perfectly reasonable. And, more importantly, their neighbors will do the real legwork of the enforcing loyalty, for fear that they'd get blown up too.

The Star destroyers I think are fine I see them like aircraft carriers. The TIE is trash but might be fine if they were still using clone solders.

Pilots are an expensive resource that are being wasted.

The society was effectively homogeneous the empire is exacerbating and creating divides between species.

Slavery is cost effective but horrible for development or advancement.

It takes away all motivation to succeed and innovate. It's got the same problems as socialism. Everyone is the same, you've got no hope, why bother?

Best case scenario the only good choice is to destroy the thing so nobody gets it.

The Mon Calamari refugees loaned them off to the Rebels in exchange for protection from the Seps and the Empire.

The death star would have reduced the need for star destroyers and TIEs. If everyone is too afraid to rebel and actively works to keep their neighbors from rebelling, the death star can do the job of whole fleets without even needing to do anything. And in doing so it can prevent rebellion before it happens, while a star destroyer is a reactive measure.
>>

There isn't one in this thread.

People like to claim that rationality is the same thing as being selfish because it's a nice sounding excuse to continue being selfish while also feeling good about yourself for being selfish. In reality, rationality is very limited in terms of determining goals. It's much more useful as a process. It's a handy tool, but what you're shooting for when you use that tool is a very different matter.

No what i meant, when they first had the device what was to be done with it?
>>
>>45716128
It's more like the US nuking Connecticut into oblivion because you caught the Governor's daughter as a possible leader of an anti-government militia out in Arizona.
>>
>>45716427
And every economist worth their salt says you're full of shit. A rational actor is defined as one who maximizes self interest. Next time, trying learning about something before you run your mouth off and look like an idiot.
>>
>>45716427
Oh i know but that was the anon who kept preaching and calling the responses tumblir garbage.

I'm honestly on the fence about this.
>>
>>45716450
The Rebels didn't originally own the Force Harvester. It's always been in Nautilus' hands. While they initially were willing to work with Nautilus purely to have a base to work from, when they found out about the Harvester they immediately rebelled against the idea of using it.
>>
>>45716525
and how long did the rebels knew this? I mean i doubt Nautilus asked to meet up with Menance Squadron to join hands after seeing their the only ones left.
>>
>>45716427
>>45716490
I honestly hope there is a in between that can be met here.
>>
>>45716573
Menace Squadron is a lot more dangerous than you might give it credit for. They've been a constant thorn in the Empire's side for some time, being too small to engage effectively with larger Star Destroyers and being too elite to face with regular TIE Fighter units.

As for your first question which I don't particularly understand, they met with Nautilus first. Then they found out about a day later and immediately tried to destroy it but were repulsed.

> And every economist worth their salt says you're full of shit.
Only those that devoutly believe in rational choice theory, which has the problem that it is simply not supported by empirical evidence. Which is to say that it does not reflect reality.
>>
>>45716639
Doesn't look like it. One side wants to give Reike the force harvester, the other wants to destroy it so that no one can have it. Not really much of an in between there.
>>
>>45716701
Careful anon. Boundaries to rationality, political rationality, and any other theory you want to throw out is going to get you called a tumblr fag.
>>
>>45716727
But how do you destroy it, it's made with bullshit Sith material.
>>
>>45716742
Well sending it to the depths of the ocean would be cool. Later we can have a quest where someone has to swim down there and fight sith sharks or something.
>>
>>45716661
I understand now, though i'm still kind of half surprised Eudora didn't shoot Rhys because the Katana fleet. Though i imagine it's because she knew the risks.
>>
>>45716742
Even if we can't destroy it, we might be able to put it where no one can get to it. A black hole, a star, even a gas giant could work.
>>
>>45716814
Neither of these options are good due to Reike's flleet are in orbit.
>>
>>45716777
Eudora has always been fairly even-tempered. Honestly, I'm more surprised that anons didn't try to kill her given the level of hatred for her that has been expressed in previous threads.
>>
>>45716856
I actually really like her. The hatred for Eudora seems to be coming from one or two anons who have a boner for the empire.

Lottie is still worse girl.
>>
>>45716856
We haven't been given a chance to yet, since we promised to give her to Reike.

Not sure how will the vote will swing in the next couple of threads regarding her.
>>
>>45716893
Much of Rhys's inner conflict (read: thread arguments) comes from those couple voices who are fervent Imperial patriots.

>>45716913
Reike never explicitly ordered Rhys to bring Eudora to him. He only politely asked to bring her in if it wasn't any trouble, if he ever actually finds her. The Force Harvester is still priority one.
>>
>>45716943
True but the idea of giving him the force harvester is still up in the air right now.
>>
>>45716969
The current plan is to sink Nautilus's flagship with the Harvester on it so no one gets it.
>>
>>45716989
That is the plan we are telling Eudora right now, how anons votes will shift will depend on the next couple of threads.
>>
>>45717024

I'm hoping anons won't get too emotional and manage to do this in a way that it won't get the admiral angry at us.

I'm still sticking to my plan of getting the empire involved and then just watch as the Rebels sink the thing, right when it is so close to the Admiral's grasp.

We still look good for finding it. Thus keeping us in the admiral's good graces. He can't blame us for Rebels sinking the thing, because we're not supposed to know that they would sink it, instead of stealing it for themselves.

Eudora will get to live and maybe we get to see her in Rhy's bedroom in the future.

A win for everyone, except the super tacdroid because F him for putting Lev out of action.
