No rest for the wicked it seems, as the warring countries of the great interior desert prepare for a meeting of diplomacy, the Camel corps is contacted by a shady spokesman and asked to hunt a squad of rouge mech pilots, one of them being the pilot of an extremely deadly experimental mech, though it doesent sit well with the 3C, a contract is a contract.
((Welcome to the Mecha Mercs Skirmish Campaign.

This is a tactical turn based collective game where each player takes on the role of a mech pilot. As the campaign progresses the players will accumulate a supply of resources which can be used to build up a persistent pool of mechs and equipment, but watch out! If your pilot dies you could lose it all and be forced to start again with an inferior mech.

Right now we are currently in a Hanger thread where the players can talk shop, ask the QM questions and take time to upgrade their mechs before the game progresses.

We are currently accepting one new player, if you wish to join choose a quick start build in the pic. (First come first served.)

Ok, took me a bit to figure out where we went wrong. You lost a drone, so the mech's value would be 24 (resale 18), or the repairs would be 13. Recon drone has a value of 4 (5-1, because you've the controller already).
That said, do you prefer the ablative that Horst is offering, or would you rather have one of the other two armors? I have a few cred left over.

Oh, you're here. I have more inane questions. This time about EMP shock: Does the recovery action permit you to take a second action that turn, or does it just remove the effect for the next turn? How does EMP shock affect skills/gear that provide free and bonus actions? Is there feedback between mech and drone, like if a pilot used their one action to Control Drones, would the drones have 0(because they all have te delicate electronics tag), 1(because the pilot is emp'd), or 2(as normal) actions? Conversely, if a drone gets EMP'd, is there any effect on the pilot's mech?

It removes the effect for the next turn. You either take your one action or spend the whole turn rebooting your mech. This is why EMP shock is bad.

If you are in EMP shock you cannot use the drone control action. The drones themselves are still fine.

If a drone gets EMPed then it's disabled for the rest of the battle, or until something performs a repair action on them. Flying units are instantly destroyed as the EMP will cause them to crash. (Thus flying drones are also instantly destroyed.)

Some more tweaks:

Decided to add +2 hit modifiers to both veteran skills in the Assault line.

The suppression ability in the Gunner line now also confers +2 to hit if the mech hasn't moved.

There was some discussion in IRC about how all the classes have some way of buffing their hit rolls except the assault.

After thinking about it I decided to change this. I also buffed the Suppression ability since I felt it was starting to look anemic in comparison to marksman. Plus the Gunner class is about shooting things so yeah.

Mortars have a minimum safe firing distance; most drones have 4 health; damaged but not killed enemies that would be destroyed by a single Heavy pistol hit; penalties to multiple oponents; basically, expanded firing options.

I just realized exactly what I said yes to. The enemy could still hit you on a 20, assuming they had no hit buffs. Also if for whatever reason a unit's Def or eDef goes over 20. Actions against it will still hit on a roll of 20.
