You are Tsukuda Ryouta, a Shinigami of the 12th Division with the unique role of an investigator of abnormal occurrences.

Together with an old acquaintance, Takenaka Hanae, you are hunting a pair of humans capable of summoning packs of Hollows at will. Their goal appears to be terrorism, as the attacks were predominantly aimed at places of public interest. Tomorrow, during the New Year's Festival, their biggest attack is suspected to take place. You need to stop them before that happens.

The blond haired girl's plan is to use one of you as bait in order to lure out the human whose target appeared to be specifically the Shinigami. Hanae is assuming that the human in question isn't aware that his plan to take out the deployed squad has left a survivor, and that he'll want to finish the job if he were to find out.

"Takenaka-san, you said you wanted to volunteer as the distraction, but perhaps we should think it over some more?"

Hanae nods. "I'm willing to volunteer the more dangerous position, and I'd do so without a single qualm, Tsukuda Ryouta-san. However, if you believe that such a choice is not the most optimal one strategically, I won't insist on a needless risk. I believe I'm capable of outmaneuvering a human gunman even if I was out in the open, so I'm confident in my chances of surviving a direct confrontation." She says that, and yet you're not sure if she remembered to take her weakened state into account. "My Shikai won't be of much use in that scenario, so I'll refrain from using it in order to conserve energy."

"I think I'm also capable of defending myself against the gunman." You reply. Minami Hikari's Shikai, Haname, should be able to deflect the bullets no matter their properties, as long as direct contact with the target is actually a requirement to active the abilities. Of course, you'll need to have it already released when the encounter starts, as it would take more time for you to do so at the spot than it would for the gunman to pull the trigger. But even without the shield, you think you might be agile enough to compete against a firearm.

There are several possible ways to set up this scenario, assuming your target takes the bait. This plan won't get anywhere unless you follow that assumption, so it's best not to dwell on it.

But first things first, who should act as the bait?

Why are you guys volunteering ourselves as bait when Hanae is still run pretty ragged? Like considering how anomalous the bullet is, there's no guarantee our shield can even block it.
>>
>>46267407
Like what is your thoughts in this regard, because this seems like a really big risk and I don't get it.
>>
>>46267512
I mean it's not like Hanae has a good idea of what the gunman looks like. And while not as fast as a gun, our crossbow shikai should do the trick. What do you guys think we'll mess up?
>>
>>46267550
Hanae isn't even better at presence concealment than us so I'd really like to hear your reasoning
>>
>>46267571
Hanae is less likely to survive being bait due to her wound and fatigue. And our shield could guarantee our survival and effectiveness as bait
>>
>>46266672
Voting over, writing!
>>
>>46267618
But despite the bullet being mundane it killed a shinigami with a non-fatal blow. And lodged itself in the corpse of the ghost it killed. I feel like that means there's a good chance defense don't mean shit. Maybe if we used our magnet shikai on like a manhole cover, but that runs the risk of ricochet.
>>
>>46267719
Also doesn't her wound and fatigue make her MUCH less qualified to watch our back? Like ideally the gunman would only have a chance to shoot if the shinigami who isn't bait fucked up and didn't take a shot.
>>
>>46267763
It's much easier to attack a human from stealth while wounded than it is to dodge bullets while wounded.
>>
>>46267783
Yeah but, again, she'd only have to dodge bullets if we screwed up in killing the gunman first. And I'm not sure why you assumed we would.
>>
>>46267829
We can't even identify the gunman until he's pulled out the gun and started firing on us.
>>
>>46267840
Technically we could have noticed anyone that just started to pull out a pistol and shot them with our crossbow because while the projectile isn't faster than a bullet, we wouldn't need to aim. At least that was my thinking.
>>
>>46267877
I think you're overestimating our firing speed and projectile speed. Plus I thought we wanted to interrogate this guy, not blow a massive hole through him.
>>
>>46267877
Like as it is now, we either need to rely on our mediocre shunpo to evade a bullet, or hope the gunman disregards our giant glowing pink shield, since we'd need to have it out already.
>>
>>46267904
Yeah, interrogate his ghost. A lot safer than doing it when he's alive. Did you forget that's what we did with whatshisface in our last mission?

Our pink shield would be just as good as a distraction for Hanae to capitalize on. The shooters attention would be entirely on us.

But she doesn't know what the shooter looks like either goddamnit. She only saw the other guy. And it's been said multiple times that there's a risk of the guy, instead of exposing himself, canceling the attack tomorrow and going into hiding. And seeing a shinigami who clearly wasn't there at the attack earlier today, wielding a Zanpakuto with obviously defensive abilities, is exactly the kind of thing that would spook the shooter.
>>
>>46268022
Apparently fucking not since we're the goddamn bait even though the gunman would have to be a fucking moron to bite.
>>
>>46267407
I didnt vote but I would've volunteered ourselves since she's wounded and I dont know to which degree she cant take another hit. Basically I was against any encounter with no backup but since the anons encouraged her and now we're in this situation I'd say the one who can take more of a beating is us.

May be wrong since our stats are pretty shit compared to her, but it's only a fair assumption.

With that settled on, you should now determine the location you'll be luring the human to. The ambush spot will dictate the general approach and strategy of the scenario.

A small indoors area would leave very little space for either side to maneuver or hide in, but escape for the human would be impossible. The moment he steps inside, he is as good as caught, even if it results in a casualty on your team. This could probably be called the 'high-risk, high-reward' approach.

The more balanced approach would take place at a location like a park, an area with plenty of room to maneuver in and abundant cover in the form of trees and bushes. Plenty of opportunities for both sides to gain an advantage during any stage of the ambush. An approach that's less risky and more forgiving to errors than the previous one, but with a chance to conclude in the target's escape.

A wide open area, like a stadium or a suspended highway, could probably be called the 'long range' approach. The stealth attack would have to take the form of a Hado spell, but when it comes to Hanae and her wellbeing, this may be the safest approach.

"Even though the first one is practically guaranteed to be successful, I'd rather not have us sustain casualties if we can avoid it, Tsukuda Ryouta-san." Hanae says, pondering over your suggestions with a hand on her hip. "And do not worry. I am not in such bad shape that I would fail to take down a mere human, especially from hiding, whether with sword or Kido."

She says that, and yet you're not sure if you can trust her on that point.

Says you, we dont know to which degree his gun is lethal, and we're assuming is the shot that killed him from our "investigative" work, we dont know how his gun works at all considering some sort of magic was involved because normal guns cant kill shinigami.
>>
>>46268196
Though that being said we probably won't get shot because the gunman would probably realize that it's clearly a trap and thereby we'd blow the whole fucking mission.
>>
>>46268212
>>Lure the gunman to a medium-sized area.
>>
>>46268230
The bullet was inside of him, and no other signs of damage.

The bullet or gun in some way caused the shinigami's death. Whether it delivered a poison, actually worked like a gun because the shinigami had a fucking bullet in him, or it was WIZARDS! it's irrelevant because the gun or bullet in some way caused the death.

Basically the two of them are doing the same thing.
>>
>>46269009
Man this is about fun, not realism. I think when you gm p&p campaigns you should always leave a way out even if their choices were dumb as fuck. That doesnt mean it can't have consequences, but the whole "I spread clues around the room to let them know there's a trap, they still went and stepped on it, they all die" doesnt sound very fun imo.
>>
>>46269178

You'll ambush him at a park. It's a fairly versatile location, and versatility may be exactl what you need when going up against an unknown foe.

"A public park will do." Hanae agrees with your plan. "I'll be hiding within shouting range of you at all times. When you identify the target, yell for me to attack. I will take him out in several seconds." She pauses, pondering about something. "Well, I said yell, but any recognizable signal shall do. Use the Denreishinki if you wish to provide me with more detailed instructions. I suppose you could use that same device to alert me without giving the ambush away, but I don't imagine you'll have the opportunity to simply take your time with that."

You nod. Before heading to the ambush spot, you wonder if there are any other preparations you could make.

"Do you think a bulletproof vest could stop his firearm?" You consult Hanae.

"I... do not know. It pierced through a Shinigami's skin, which may very well mean that the projectile takes a spiritual form at least temporarily, so I doubt it. I don't actually believe that there'll be any problems if you attempt to use it, though. I'll have to refrain from trying that myself however, as I'd like to maximize my mobility." Hanae turns her blue eyes upwards for a while. When she lowers her gaze back towards you, you find her frowning in concern. "...I suppose there is a small problem with that idea. It would look rather strange from a human perspective, wouldn't it?"

Well, that's true. The attention of humans is probably the last thing you need right now. The less people around during the ambush, the better.

(1/2)
>>
>>46269368
When at the park, after splitting off with Hanae you take a seat underneath a thick tree. From where you're sitting, you can see the park's most commonly used paths - at least if you were to judge by the amount of people passing through them. If the gunman decides not to use any of these roads, you should still be able to hear him trying to sneak up on you from the grass. Your back is relatively safe up against a sturdy trunk, so your current position is almost devoid of blind spots.

Now you need to flash your Reiatsu and wait. You're not so powerful as to warrant the unwanted attention of Hollows, but you're not so weak that your presence wouldn't be noticed by those who'd be interested in noticing it.

Well, there's actually one more preparation to make - the state of your sword. Releasing it takes time, but you could release it in advance to grant yourself an advantage before the battle breaks out. Which form should your sword assume before the ambush begins?

...

>Leave your sword sealed. You'll judge by the situation.

You settle on Kirino Moeka's Yuchi. This should be a subtler defense than Hikari's Haname, and while making this method work might be a little tricky due to your lack of experience, if it does work, the shooter probably won't even understand why his shot didn't reach the target. You'll create a powerful magnetic field originating from an increased magnetism of the rapier itself, and use that to repel the bullet.

You don't think Kirino Moeka has ever considered using her Shikai in a way that didn't involve throwing around metallic objects after tapping them with the blade. Well, she may not realize it, she may be absolutely clueless about it, but her Shikai is a force to be reckoned with. Her sword is an abuser of the laws of physics. Theoretically, no 'cap' has been stated on the amount of modification possible to an object's magnetic properties. To create a chaotic tornado of flying metal you don't really need to touch a single thing. It's a very 'freeform' kind of power, more reliant on the user's wits than power.

So, all in all, the absolute worst possible fit for Kirino Moeka.

Of course, the only limit would have to be the user's spiritual capacity. For someone like you, that's a serious concern. You can't go wild with it, but just this much should be fine.

The action of releasing the sword is enough of a spike in your spiritual pressure to serve as an alarm to the spiritually aware. The preparations are complete, and the plan has been put in motion.

Now, all that's left is to wait. Wait and hope that the humans take the bait.

You spend the next few hours sitting underneath the tree. The sun is beginning to set. The smog has cleared up a bit, or maybe your eyes have simply gotten used to it. Most people have left the park, leaving just you and your partner in the vicinity. Maintaining Yuchi for that long has proved to be quite exhausting. Even so, you think it's still too early to give up. You would like to persist until the reinforcements arrive.

Speaking of which, after redirecting your request for aid to the First Division, your Division hasn't updated you on the question of reinforcements. The reason for that is probably that they are simply not kept up to date on the matter, and the First are under no obligation to explain their current situation. Perhaps Hanae has been receiving updates. Well, you can't exactly ask her in these circumstances. You can only hope that they arrive soon.

You spot a lone man of asian descent taking a late walk through the park. He's dressed rather suavely, wearing a cream colored suit and a pair of brown leather shoes. His smooth black hair is slicked back, his chin high and cleanly shaved, his back straight. There's something about the way he walks that makes his clothing seem like a less formal choice of attire than it really is. He's almost oozing confidence.

Of course, the description Hanae has provided you with, for the human responsible for luring the Hollows, is nothing like what you're currently observing. So this is most likely the gunman... well, you can't confirm whether that man really is your target quite yet.

(2/3)
>>
>>46270549
He's been looking straight ahead of himself as he walked, not paying you any heed.

And yet when he walks up to your direct front, he suddenly stops and twirls on his heel. Now staring you right in the eye, he speaks up in perfect japanese.

"Greetings, Shinigami. Before you do anything rash, let's talk, shall we?" He makes the offer casually, smiling like a winner.

He may not understand it, but he's walked right into your trap. You can see the pocket containing his firearm, you have the chain you ripped off the set of swings nearby that you hid in a nearby bush after linking it to Moeka's Shikai, and you have Hanae on standby, waiting for your signal. He has no chance.

It is surprising that all he wants is a chat. You expected him to attack while trying to keep himself hidden, not walk out in the open like this. Is he setting something up, or is there some reason for him to be feeling this confident in a situation like this?

Whatever he may be thinking doesn't matter. As long as he's in the possession of his firearm, he's too dangerous to simply leave be. And because his actions already resulted in the deaths of several Shinigami, there is no way you could trust him just because he asked.

The only thing left to determine here is the lethality of your retaliation. You could kill him. 'Death' won't make interrogating him any harder than letting him live. You could use the chain you're controlling with Yuchi to do that, or maybe break an arm and take his gun. The human body is rendered rather useless by those types of injuries. If you don't wish to show off that trump card, you could just run up to him and restrain him manually. You think you're quick enough to shorten that distance before he reacts.

Calling for Hanae should immediately put him on guard, but that option is also available. You can't really know whether she'll be benevolent enough to spare this person's life, so it's probably more reliable to assume a lethal outcome.

This does not affect the REIA value of the target, or the SPI value of the target when it's used to defend against the bind. If the user has REIA of one Rank higher than the target, it completely immobilizes the target. Does not require an incantation.

>Does not require an incantation

>Fling the chain at his head and kill him.

True, but we don't need to keep him bound for more than like a second or so so we can do
>>46271124
>Charge him and restrain him
With a greater chance of success.

Like remember that when we killed Erwin Kramer all the hollows he'd been keeping captive broke lose and that was on accident. It's not unlikely that humans could arrange the same thing but on purpose.

Killing the guy?
>>
>>46271403
Killing him so we can interrogate his spirit. Binding him is too risky and offers no real benefit
>>
>>46271412
Except you'd have to be a complete fucking moron to think that this guy is bluffing with no cards you jackass.
>>46271419
Why though? Do you honestly have that little faith in the QM that you think that he's not giving a warning but is instead hoping to trick us through someone clearly stating "fighting me is a bad idea"?

>>46271124
>Charge him and restrain him.
But first do >>46271215
>>
>>46271444
Try thinking from Ryoutas perspective instead of relying on meta reasoning
>>
>>46271438
Risky is what you're doing now though. Like what do you guys honestly expect to happen? We just kill the guy just like that, he tells us where his partner is and we go home? Why are you refusing to engage with the material at all?
>>
>>46271124
Voting over, writing!
>>
>>46271444
How does binding him negate any ace in the hole he has better than killing him?
>>
>>46271485
Ryouta's perspective is that this guy could have just not fucking shown up at all. Or he could have tried an ambush of his own. But instead he approached us in broad daylight and is within arm's reach of us without even having a hand on his gun.

This behavior doesn't make sense, and Ryouta isn't dumb enough to think "sometimes people just do irrational things" instead
> Is he setting something up, or is there some reason for him to be feeling this confident in a situation like this?

And to me, him having a reason for feeling so confident is a lot more fucking plausible than him setting something up.
>>
>>46271385
>>46271215
Is an elaboration on the same vote using an existing prompt I think.
>>
>>46271535
So your argument is that this guy wants us to kill him as part of his master plan? You're using some awfully twisted logic here.
>>
>>46271527
Because either the chain won't work at all, or killing him will make something bad happened. While binding him would at least take away his gun.

>>46271594
No, I'm saying that either he's a lot stronger than he seems to be, or he has a contingency in place in case he's killed.

While you seem to think that this guy is just a complete moron and the QM is trolling us by giving the bad guy on a silver platter and having our paranoia let him go?

Goddamnit this is Clarissa's zanpakuto all over again and you morons are gonna fuck us over just like back then.
>>
>>46271535
That's the obvious answer, but what you dont actually know is that the whole thing was a dream. We're just a fat autistic nerd in mom's basement, daydreaming about bleach while shitposting on 4chan about how superior our knowledge is.
>>
>>46271634
So how is binding a better solution if this is all some elaborate trap?
>>
>>46271634
>this is all a trap
>this means we should use a riskier choice
what
>>
>>46271650
Well the third option is that he's not the guy we thought he was but is a potential ally.

Also if he is a lot stronger than he seems, we could keep our magnetic powers under-wraps which would give us an advantage over his gun.
>>
>>46271697
Yeah betting with our life that this is all a coincidence is clearly the smart play
>>
>>46271714
What do you care about what is or isn't the smart play. You think it's ridiculous that he might have a plan for us killing him, but you think that instead his real plan was to -trick- us into thinking he has a plan if we kill him? Like just how dumb do you think he is?
>>
>>46271802
I think his plan to kill us is only relevant if he's still alive
>>
>>46271843
Then why did he approach us in a manner that's outright suicidal?
>>
>>46271875
To intimidate us into thinking killing him is a bad choice, which clearly worked on you
>>
>>46271899
But that's literally insane. Like that would require him to have meta knowledge.
>>
>>46271963
I mean it's not like we were already closing in on him, this was literally our only lead.
>>
>>46271963
I still don't understand why binding him is advantageous over killing him, even assuming it works
>>
>>46272029
Because it gives us a trump card we can use later. And I feel like it's about as fast.
>>
>>46272101
But it's likely to fail. Which just means we lose the initiative
>>
>>46272141
I guess I see it as about as likely as the other option. Like if he can't dodge or block a chain whirling towards him, a I don't really see him able to shake off our spell, retrieve, aim, and fire his gun, before we tackle him.
>>
>>46272226
I think you're underestimating this shikai and overestimating his physical abilities. Spiritually aware humans are more likely to have a higher SPI or reiatsu stay than any physical stats

You make a gesture with your hand. It seems that the man has recognized your action as hostile, but he doesn't manage to reach his pocket before the spell takes effect. The man's limbs spasm, arms forcing themselves behind his back. As he falls to the ground, you get on top of him, pinning him down from behind. With another quick motion of the hand, you take his firearm out and toss it aside.

"You knew?! Damn it, you're pretty clever...!" The man grunts and grumbles, trying to twirl out of your grasp. "Shit, I thought the wise Death Gods would be more diplomatic than this... The previous one I've met at least had the decency to hear me out...!" You twist his arm until it lets out an unpleasant crack. The attempts at resistance cease after a pained scream. "I got it, I got it! Damn it, don't kill me, let me talk!"

"Where is your partner? If you tell us where he is, you might be spared." You're here for that information first and foremost. Whatever else he has to say can be said after you have what you need.

"Partner? Hah!" He scoffs. "That guy isn't my partner. He's just some crazy, desperate idiot. He's my client, not a partner. You're really hurting my feelings here, Shinigami, by thinking that I'm friends with someone like- Gaaah!"

He's going off on an unnecessary tangent, but you need him to stay on topic. Another bend of the arm seems to calm him down. "Where is he?"

"Damn it, as if I'd know! He'll probably be popping another one off at the festival tomorrow, so that's where he'll be, I'm sure. Other than that, I have no clue. He took what he needed from me and I wasn't planning to babysit him after that!"

"You say that, and yet it was you who attacked the Shinigami."

It's been an hour and nineteen minutes as of writing this.

"Damn it..." He spits the words out. "Look, I had to! He complained that the crap I gave him wasn't working. Well, of course it bloody wasn't, not with a gang of Shinigami on his damn tail like that! He threatened me! So I had to do something. Honestly, I regret it! I should have just cut off all ties with the crazy bastard. If there's anything I can do to repent for it, I'm gonna do it, Shinigami!" It seems like he's using a very roundabout way of asking for forgiveness, with a tone that seems more suited for intimidation rather than pleading.

"What did you give him?"

"Hollow bait. You must know about it. The Quincy use it, and your kind's damn familiar with those guys, aren't they?"

"Where did you get that?"

"From some damn Quincies, of course! Hell if I know how to get in touch with them again. I sold everything I had."

Sold? This guy is... like a spiritual businessman?

"Who are you?"

"Who am I? It'd be easier to introduce myself if I didn't risk eating dirt every time I needed to open my mouth, Shinigami! Goddamnit!" He pauses again to grumble. "I am Miura Kentaro, damn it! I am a Fullbringer! Is that enough for you? Are you happy now? Can we get on to the real issue yet?!"

He's growing physically unruly again. Things would certainly be easier if he simply answered your questions instead of trying to talk back and interrupting your interrogation now and again. You suppress this fit of resistance just like the other. But after taking a minute to recover from the pain, just after you think that he's calmed down, he starts acting up again.

"...Sure, let's keep at it for a while longer, damn it! Let's go through the whole damn process, Shinigami! Let's take our bloody time while the city burns, huh?!" Kentaro yells, sweat dripping down his face.

"Explain yourself." This must be the 'actual issue' he's mentioned. Or maybe this is some kind of bluff.

"The smog has cleared up, so you should be able to see it now. I'm here to offer you help. Look up...!" He hisses out.

You turn your eyes upwards.

For a moment, you find yourself questioning your own eyesight.

Black cracks run through the reddish sky. It's as if something impossibly heavy is pushing from the other side of the heavens themselves, trying to force itself into the Human World. You've never seen anything like it.

The body underneath you twitches in laughter.

"Scary, isn't it? Feels like the whole world is fucking ending, doesn't it?! Well, as soon as you let me go, I'm gonna get right on helping you deal with whatever the hell is coming out!"

That seems like an offer so audacious that, for a moment, you're not even sure what the appropriate question here would be. He's going to help against this? He seems to have caught on to your wordless confusion, as he starts barking out an explanation.

"My ability! I'm a Fullbringer, I've said that already, didn't I? You've already somehow figured out that I killed a Shinigami, so I've got my work cut out for me explaining that. My ability is to bring things down to my level! I can make that thing weak as shit on a whim! Then you can do your thing and cut it up into little pieces!" He pauses to take a breath and suddenly breaks out into a chuckle. "What, you're still holding me? Don't you get it, damn it? This city is gonna go up in flames if you don't let me help you! Hurry up and make up your mind, Shinigami!"

...

Okay so on the one hand, he really was an idiot who didn't have a plan, so the chain gang was right. On the other hand, I'm kind of vague on fullbringers being able to fullbring as ghosts, so him being dead could have been a harder bossfight.

"Do you know what's coming?" You should break the situation down one question at a time. The phenomenon above feels like impending doom, but you need to figure out what exactly is happening before you can formulate a plan of action.

"The Quincy were vague about it. They said that if the bait is overused, a huge Hollow is going to appear. Not just big. Massive. Like a goddamn skyscraper. Or so they said."

You suppose that this is a natural consequence of having large concentrations of Hollows appear so frequently around the same area. Some don't make it to the other side and end up tangled with one another in the space between the two worlds. That incoherent spiritual mass gathers up at the very edge of the world. Eventually, it grows massive enough to turn into something else entirely.

Menos Grande.

A grim amalgamation composed of hundreds of Hollows. A dreaded next step in their natural evolution. The Menos are a type of Hollow far stronger than any contemporary Shinigami is able to handle. They are abominations whose appearance results in world-changing disasters. Only specialized forces are trained and equipped to deal with them. You know of those monsters only through formal studies; you saw them only on the rough sketches in textbooks, and never expected to see a real one with your own eyes. It is as rare as it is unfortunate for a Shinigami to be facing such a calamity personally.

"Is it getting through to you yet? Let me go and I'll help!" Kentaro barks up again. Instead of answering his shouting, you ask another question.

"What's in this for you? Why not just run away?"

(1/2)
>>
>>46274729
"The hell are you asking me that question for, you dumbass? Aren't you a Shinigami? Isn't protecting humans from Hollows like your one friggin' job? And you're asking me why not run away? Because it's your job, idiot! And me? The hell do my reasons matter? You've gotta save those people, right?! So I'm volunteering to bloody help you!" Kentaro scoffs, again putting up a meaningless, rebellious resistance. You don't need to prompt him into calming down this time; he soon does it of his own accord. "Look, I can't just leave the city, you know? I'm low on cash and I can't get myself any tickets out of this place! It's too damn late now! I'm gonna get caught in the crossfire when that thing comes out, and I sure as hell don't want to go up against it!"

"Didn't you say that your ability might work on it? So then why are you scared?"

"Look, it's not that simple. No, it is that simple, damn it! But look at my freaking gun! Do you see how tiny it is? The bullets are even smaller. I don't think I'm going to shoot down a skyscraper even if I spend an entire clip on it! You guys should know how to kill it for good, so I need your help. We're gonna cooperate, and beat it up with teamwork. Doesn't that sound great to you? Humans and Shinigami working together. It's like fucking poetry or something! So let go of me already!"

You hear a footstep. Hanae has approached your entangled forms. She must have heard the entire conversation. Kentaro has been yelling quite incessantly for a while now, and in this desolated park, each word must have rung as clearly as a bell.

Her grave expression shows no signs of relenting. She wants to fight back. Those are her thoughts on the situation.

...

>Trust him. Work together with Miura Kentaro to bring down the Menos Grande.
>Don't trust him. Giving back his weapon is not an option. The situation calls for a retreat, not a retaliation.

Clearly something is delaying them. I mean they should be able to sense an oncoming Menos but they're still not here.

Like best case scenario they show up everything is fine.

But if they don't, then we need to quickly find the nearest military base and loot it.

The gun may prove quite useful. Magnetize it and then pierce its head and move the bullets around pingponging like a swarm of angry bees.
>>

Mushroom probably forgot about them.
>>
>>46275174
A Gillian is HUGE a handgun probably won't be good enough. If he can equalize maybe us hurling a fucking car right at its head we might be able to kill it?

Actually his power barely makes sense under this context, like... wouldn't the Gillian suddenly become susceptible to the Square-Cube law and collapse under its massive bulk?
>>
>>46275192
But certainly Mushroom isn't Kubo.
>>
>>46275254
It "brings it down to his level" apparently meaning it gives him the ability to harm it and maybe reducing its REIA score to his or something.

It'd still be a giant ghost thing, so the laws of physics are still kinda fucking nil against it.
>>
>>46275295
I don't know, I think his power is weirder than that. Like he shot a shinigami with a non-magical bullet in a non-vital area and the shinigami not only died but the mundane bullet stayed in the spiritual corpse.

Thanks for running! I still do legitimately believe that due to apparently being in touch with the spiritual underworld Kentaro might well be a potential lead in finding the Hougyoku, which is the explanation I'm prepared to give Urahara when he reminds us that we were ordered to withdraw immediately when we found out the Hougyoku wasn't the cause.
