Alright, since it seems my memory has a few holes, though, i cant remember the academy name and im renaming it Orange Star academy, temporarly. If anyone has a better name, i'm all ears.

The principal was a former army man and wasnt really fond of speeches, so the opening ceremony was limited to a greeting, a call for hard work, and a signal to go to everyone's classrooms.

Honestly, many teachers and more than a few students delt it was too short, but it certainly was better than to bore everyone with a long winded speech.

Stella was standing roughly in the middle of the new student's group. Her classmates were almost universally human, even if there were hobbits and goliaths mixed in. It looked like she was the only beastkin in her class, and other than her, the only other non humans was a dwarf boy.

Well, even if Eopolis is a modern state with a roughly even distribution of people from amongst all races in the continent, humans were still a majority, and more importantly, the academy was aimed towards those who wanted to start a military career, graduating as full fledged officers.

Since most races held different interests, they usually did not apply. I was that simple.

She was eagerly looking around in her own group as they followed the instructor to their classroom. In a group of 4 dozen students, she and two other girls were the only females.

Everyone was wearing the same uniform, a set of pants and jacket over a white shirt, which had a very military feeling to it. One of the girls was also sporting a short golden cloak, and the other a white lace which kept her long golden hair in check behind her, but they both appeared to be rather serious girls, despite their brief concessions to fashion or accessories.

All of the boys had the same uniform, with no variations except for shoes. Since the uniform did not specify for shoes beyond 'black', there was a wide range of quality in their footwear.

If she was the observant type, she would be able to tell the boy's background by the quality of their footwear.

The ones from a noble or wealthy family would wear high quality shoes, while those with a commoner's background would have cheaper ones.

Incidentally, the uniform was provided by the school, and its cost was included in the monthly fee.

Since scholarship students also had it distributed to them for free, it was normal for their families to pool resources to buy the best possible footwear and school materials, but even so, it was impossible to completely close the gap between those born in a commoner's home, and those born in a manor.

Stella had a fluffy fluffy casual atmosphere around her as she wagged her tail while looking around, and followed her instructor to the classroom.

When they arrived at its doors, the teacher had them stop and make two lins, then began asking their names and level before sending them to have a seat.

The school desks were wide, each with two chairs, so they could be shared. It was to quickly create teams for schoolwork and encourage them to form friendships right from the start.

"Names and level." - the instructor asked the two boys at the top of each line.
"Goda, level 14 knight!" - the young man seemed rather average, but had a good build. Rather, in a military academy aimed at future officers, this made him unremarkable.
"Duan, level 12 warrior!" - A robust goliath with dark blonde hair, he looked to be the type that no matter what he ate, he would gain weight. His arms were heavily muscular, indicating that he worked hard, but his torse was ( ) shaped, regardless.

"Go take a seat at the first desk of the line against the wall."

"Yes sir!"
"Yes!"

The teacher wrote down their names and levels, and kept sending students in after them.

"Hey, young miss, would you like to seat with me?" - It was the young dwarf

As soon as it became obvious that they were going to be assigned a deskmate, the students further back the line begane quickly rearranging to try and be seated with someone they thought would be a good match.

"Hey, aren't you dwarves weird around beastkin?" - it was the girl with the short red cloak- "Why don't you sit with me, instead?"

"Oho! Honoria is a fine dwarven name. So, the young miss has dwarven friends. Isn't it fine, then? I am Cuadra, nice to meet you." -says the young dwarf
"I'm Stella!" - she replies while holding both hands together before her chest in a rather cutesy gesture.

Well, she's 11 years old inside. It is a very endearing and natural gesture for a 11 years old girl. With her figure, however...

"Uhmm..." - in the end, the other two girls decide to sit together and move so they are right behind Stella and Cuadra, hoping to get the seat right behind them.

"Ah, nice to meet you, youg miss!" -Cuadra rises his hand naturally, and Stella doesn't even thinks about it before leaning over so she can get patted on the head.

For both of them, it is a very natural thing, but several classmates looked a little worried.

Well, it couldn't be helped, since the dwarves were extremely fond of the beastkin. Cuadra probably was used to them so he could tell that Stella was a young girl, and Stella was used to being spoiled by those around her.

"Viktor, warrior level 15!"
"Daniel, knight level 9!"

"Uhmm... rather low, you should sign up for one of the dungeon clubs."
"Yes sir."

Then it was Stella and Cuadra's turn.

"Cuadra, knight level 19!"

** Adrianna's PoV ***

'It was meant to be my debut into a charming academy life. I was confident on my looks and abilities.

My parents had arranged for me to receive a excellent education, with private tutors going home at least once a week since I was 4. When I was 12, I went to a dungeon with father and several hired swords, and began leveling up steadily.

As a level 20 knight and level 20 singer, I was meant to be the jewel of our class, but then this brown dog girl came out from the boonies and somehow convinced everyone that she was amazing.

Her grades are certainly good. Talking to her, I learnt that she had actually gone to Albion's university for five years before transferring here.

I felt like reacting with a "If you were just 2 years away from graduation, what did you come here for?"

Of course someone who had gone to classes for 5 days of the week every week for 5 years would be better at academics than I was! well, it's alright, because I am confident in my figure. Or so I thought.

She signed up for pretty much every single physical extracurricular class, though.

Fencing, wrestling, riding, dungeoneering, and smithing.

I wasn't interested in any of those except for fencing, of course. Unlike a certain brown she-dog out of the mountains, I'm a proper high-born lady, you know?

Still, "Why are you taking those classes if you studied in a place geared towards casters!?". That's what I felt like asking.

He made some dumb comment about it being "the boy's 2nd legendary treasure" in the academy or something like that.

By all the boys in the fencing club, be seen!

But, all it did was cause the boys to be awkward around her in the fencing floor.

Such a vulgar and lewd body, surely belongs to a lewd and vulgar woman!

That's what I thought, but then...

"I'm eleven years old"

That's what she said while sitting in her underwear on the floor.

As first years, we shared a large room with all the other girls in our year. Not that there were that many to begin with.

What kind of 11 years old has a body like that, and has gone to university for five years!?

Everyone is really nice.

Mister Cuadra greets me with a head pat every morning, and gives me candy. He says I remind him of his pet, Diana.

Im not really sure how, but the treats he gives me, he says they're Diana's favorite. He is really nice and likes to pat my head and give me candy.

"Ah, but you can't take it off my hand, alright? you have to lick it off the palm of my hand, like Diana does." -thats what he said while we were studying in the library, one evening

The dwarf looks somewhat nervous. One could say he had just dodged a shot, somehow.

"You are in the dungeoneering club, right? would you like to come with us? we are going to try out the foodgeon near the southern market." -says Leche
"Ah, I would like to." -Cuadra nods, and looks at Stella
"Alright!"

That is how, we joined 2 more people, a couple of older boys, and head towards the foodgeon.

Everyone pulls money and pays 1 silver and 70 copper coins for a 17th floor teleport scroll.

Incidentally, teleport scrolls are only available in Eopolis, thanks to "Dungeon Beacons" that have been recently (the last 5 years) been placed at the entrance of each floor.

"Ah! these are really convenient!" -Stella looks at the beacon as they arrive.

The dungeon is very dimly lit, and full of the sounds of far away fights, but she seems unconcerned with those.

"I wonder if brother would like to see one? I should tell him about them."
"Your brother is an adventurer?" -asks Leche
"Yes?" -she answers while inclining her head slightly to a side

"Alright, let's try and find some minotaurs, then."
"This way!" -Stella can smell them with ease
"How do you know?"
"Im not sure if theyre minotaurs, but theres a scent that is neither human, elf, dwarf or anything like that, coming from this direction."
"Oh! let's check it, then." -Cuadra supports the wolf girl

We find a group of four minotaurs. The rest of the group is rather worried, since they expected one or two, maybe three.

"Well, we are all front line fighters, so rather than bothering with something hard, lets go by armor class. I have full cloth, so I'll go ahead with Stella. Leche and Cuadra use spears and halberds from behind. Let's move to a corner so we can defend with ease!"

Indeed, since they outnumber us, it isnt a bad idea. We move to a corner so they cant all five fight us at the same time with their hand held axes, and Adrianna focuses on defending while leaving serious offense to the pair safe in the back.

"Stella, just focus on defense!"
"Alright!"

The brown skinned wolfgirl starts parrying and deflecting. She's pretty relaxed.

Adrianna fights by aiming at the minotaur's hands, making it hard for them to hold their weapons, deflecting, or redirecting their attacks.

Meanwhile, Leche and Cuadra use long weapons to attack from the back.

"Ah, one [Black Steak]!" -Stella calls out as one of the minotaurs 'poofs' out, and leaves the drop behind.

With her 20 levels of cook, her party gets the best drops possible.

She moves forth to pick it up, seemingly forgetting about the monsters.

Adrianna pulls her back by the tail as she is leaning forth and a minotaur tries to chop her head off.

"Ah! huuuurts!" -she whines as Adrianna pulls her by the tail
"Are you an idiot? no, you are an idiot, aren't you, you idiot!?"
"Uhhh I'm not."

They do manage to take the minotaurs down after a few more minutes, but they all spend almost as long admonishing Stella.

"Well, we did get as many as five steaks on the first fight. This is some super good luck. Do you want to go back now?" -asks Cuadra
"Ah... ither than Stella stretching her neck out, I think we did great. Should we try leveling up a little bit?" -says Leche
"I think that's a good idea. Stella, don't go ahead on your own, alright?"
"...alright"

We need to teach Stella to take dungeon-diving more seriously. It's fine against low level monsters that can't break her Phys Resist, but it promotes bad habits that could get her hurt.

Leche is focused on her enemy, dodging its axe to counter, when suddenly the minotaur stops, goes gray, and turns into a [Black Steak]

Behind where the minotaur stoof, Stella is smiling from.

"Eh? ah, good work!"
"Yes!"

Together with Leche, they help Adrianna, and then easily finish off the last minotaur.

"Ah, that was much better. I wonder if you can tell how many are in a group? i'd be so much faster with 3 or less."
"I don't think I could tell when there's three, but I can tell when there's really few, so 1 or 2 should be easy to find."
"Got it, please look for such groups."
"Alright!"

Well, by the time they leave the dungeon, somehow having gathered several dozen rare drops, Adrianna's opinion of Stella has changed for the better, into that of a slightly airheaded but good girl.

"Ah, I want two steaks!" -she says happily while wagging her tail and tugging on Adrianna's sleeve
"Uhm? you want two?" -the blonde is a bit confused. A fourth of the loot would be a little over a dozen steaks

Well, that's because we got her used to handing over all loot to Lyann.

Yeah, that's our fault.

We're not exploiting her! we're not! we properly give her rewards and head pats, so don't worry.

...don't look at me like that. Child labour laws? what's that? is it tasty? there's no such thing in this world.

When they return to the academy, Adrianna spots the last year student she fancies... and Stella runs over towards him, jumps to his arm and starts licking his face while wagging her tail.

"I was wrong, she's awful!" -cries out Adrianna as Stella licks at Alard's face

"Alard! Alard! hello! those are my friends... ah?"

Adrianna has already left, fuming.

I know today was super short, but thats my fault because i lost track of time. Tomorrow lets start on time, hppefully.
