I can see Luk taking damage so long as it doesn't count towards a wound when it reaches 0. But it adds a fiddly dimension to the flow of things. Upon discovery, it dawns on you that the merging of souls have dissolved the body- or rather its material presence. The Knight Oryx, and the Bishop of Luna had all but disappeared upon their reaping.

In Dearth, the soul is the most basic form things take in this material plane it is all shape but none in the same measure. To become a soul and ultimately be reaped becomes the final string that unmakes an entire being - dissolving their vessel.
Creatures in the Dearth that leaves corpses- maybe reaped for their soul- but doing so will bring them back to the flow and their body- material and all - come with it. However there is a chance that items or gear will sustain themselves after a reaping if one is lucky.

Hallowing: Upon reaching 0 souls one's essence should by all rights be destroyed- but what does that say of their vessel emptied of its contents and hungering to be filled- creatures called Hollows were called such for their sacrosanct desire. But what of those that retain their faculties- their ... essence ?

Hallows are creatures emptied of their former contents and yet remains. Their face collapses into a void of nothing some degrade to mere shells of their former selves.
- Hallows are undead in the truest sense, healing fails them but souls will always nourish them.
- [Ectophage] - The vessel holds but it is tempermental, Hallows can take damage to Soul to instead of their stats at 1 damage per 1 soul. Any damage to their stats at this point become quite difficult to heal. Soul count in the negatives will cause penalties to all rolls of the same amount.
- You are destroyed at 2 wounds, But instead of END your vital stat becomes your WILL
- Hallowing cannot be cured. However one may be reincarnated and inherit a [curse]
