The hyperspace trip back to Admiral Reike’s fleet only took a day. Felt like a month.

And when you do arrive, you see the find mysterious ocean planet, now a sickly green and covered in dark clouds. All of you stare in horrified awe at it. “What happened to that planet?” asks Vikker, not sure if he really wants to know the answer.

Kuvasz crosses his arms. “Well, that’s what happens when you exterminate all life on it.” He looks over at Misri, who still seems a little sickly. “Are you alright, Misri? You don’t look so good.”

She waves him off, shaking her head. “I’m alright. Question is, uh… why are we coming back to them?”

“I’m going to get us out of this mess,” you declare. You direct the ship towards the Undertaker, the big Mandator with the new gun dedicated to firing the Force Harvester. A huge pit forms in the pit of your stomach. Just tell him the truth for once, and get out. No need for any fierfek or anything like that. You just need to be upfront. No more cowardice.

“We can’t just leave the Force Harvester with him though,” says Misri. “Wh-… what will happen then?”

“It’s for Rhys to decide,” says Kuvasz.

Right, right. It’s for you to decide.

Just need to act like you know what you want to decide though.

The Lion’s Share docks in one of the many shuttle hangars. “R5. You’re coming with me,” you say. He rolls down the ramp with you. “Rest of you, stay here.”

Whisper blinks. “But what about-“

“Let me handle this,” you say. “What, you think I’m going to mess everything up somehow?” They all stare at you as if you’re going to mess everything up somehow. “Get back in the ship.” They all nod, stepping back. Misri gives you one last look, before nodding and stepping back in.

“Why do you need me?” asks R5.

“Because it’d be nice to have my faithful droid companion bail me out in case things go south,” you explain.

“You want to use me as a shield, don’t you.”

“Well…” you shrug. “Hey, droids make excellent shields, R5.” He whirls his dome around incredulously. “Aw now don’t give me that.”

“Sir, what are we even doing here?” he asks.

"Just like we planned. Go in, say the job's done, I want to retire, collect my pay and the money from the Auridium, and then fly out to Wild Space."
We can plan on how to disable and destroy the Force Harvester AFTER we get our money.
No stupid tricks, no stupid lies. Just the truth that we want out, and we want our money.

Checking out the Force Harvester when we need to be going to Reike with the full appearance that we are done with the Empire, the Civil War, want nothing more to do with him, and just want to retire to Wild Space with our fortune so we can live out our life well away from not just the fighting but also from him.

Going to check out the Force Harvester goes against that.

>>46883226
Showing any goddamn interest in the Force Harvester will make Reike consider why we have any interest in it when we're coming to him and saying we want to retire, and don't want that instructor job or test pilot position (because both of those mean we're within his sight instead of out in Wild Space where we can plan this shit).

“Just like we planned. Go in, say the job’s finished, I want to retire, collect my pay, then we go out to Wild Space, then grow old and fat while we plan out how to destroy you know-what, if I even want to continue it then,” you say. “That sound simple enough for ya?”

“I understand, hopefully you can keep your composure for a little bit longer,” says R5. You roll your eyes. “Lead on, sir.” You pat R5 on the head. Reliable, but he sure has a way of making you feel like an idiot sometimes. One of these days, you’re going to scrap him and you’ll regret it too.”

-

“Sir! Sir!” An Imperial Officer follows closely behind you, trying to ineffectually stop you from invading on Admiral Reike’s private meeting of some kind. You aren’t waiting around. You know he likes those that are upfront. Maybe he’ll get a kick out of this. “You can’t go in there! Admiral Reike is in talks!”

Whoever he is in talks with can wait. You find his little briefing room, then slam the button to open the door. “Reike, I got something to say to you…” Your voice croaks as your step inside, and see just who he is in talks with.

Admiral Reike turns around, his arms folded, and his gaze as stern as you last saw it. Projected from the table is a holographic image of the great shadowy hand of Emperor Palpatine himself. His cape masks his true strength, and behind those big dark eyes you can tell he doesn’t seem happy to see you.

And for one last confirmation, the hiss of his breath tells you exactly who this is.

Reike folds his arms. “Is there a reason you interrupted my discussion with Lord Vader, Cykgil?”

“No. No.” You throw up your arms. This is ridiculous. “Goodness, I can wait.” He points to a chair in the briefing room. You sigh, taking it up and sitting down.

Still, looking at Lord Vader, even in hologram form. You haven’t seen anything this scary in years. Reike looks back up at Vader. “Lord Vader. I don’t see why the Emperor sees it fit to stuff the Undertaker into secure storage. We have quite possibly the ultimate weapon in our hands. I know he has already invested so much time and money in the-“

“The decision has already been made, Admiral.” Darth Vader’s voice booms through the room. Reike doesn’t even look phased. “The Force Harvester has been found. And away from the hands of the Rebels it will go.”

“But I was under the impression that the Harvester would be used,” says Reike. “We have a weapon that can cleanse entire planets in minutes, without harming the raw materials or causing infrastructure damage. Every living thing dies when we point it at them. And you want it collecting dust?”

“The Emperor has a purpose for all things,” he says.

Reike narrows his eyes. “You’re scared of it, aren’t you?” Darth Vader stares at him. “This thing can harvest the living Force. You still believe in that stuff, don’t you.”

Darth Vader leans forward. And for a second, Reike actually flinches. “If Anakin Skywalker could destroy it. Then so can I. This discussion is over. For your sake, you will do as you are commanded.” His image disappears.

He looks over at you, then you shrug. “So…” You bite your cheek a little. “Going to pay me?”

“Excuse me?” he says.

“I finished the job,” you say. “I want my money. I want out of this. Right now.”

Reike places his hands on his hips. “Really.” You nod firmly. “You’re giving up on the Empire then? You’re going to let your talents go to waste. You’re just going to grow fat and slovenly while the rest of the Galaxy moves on without you, huh.”

You shrug. “I don’t mind getting fat. Just means there’s more of me to love.”

He snorts, actually finding that slightly funny. “You chose a very unusual time for this.” He pulls out his holopad, then taps in a few numbers, scrolls over to a command. “By the way.” He points to your new cybernetic arm. “How’s the arm?”

“The arm’s good. Part of why I’m retiring, I guess.” He tilts his head, curious. He motions for you to continue. “Look. With this arm, I’m not sure I’ll ever be the pilot I used to be. I think I’m done.”

“That’s a shame,” he says. “Maybe next time, you continually lie to people in positions of power over you.” That bites at you hard. “But, oh well. I guess I may still have use for you later but, I can understand if you feel you are no longer the man you used to be.” He taps the last button his holopad. “Your money is being transferred now.”

You blink. “Really?”

“Yes,” he says. “All 79,000,000 credits. You will be a very rich man.” He steps up to you, then stands over you. And now it's a question of what will make him less suspicious: criminal scum just wanting to get away from the man who took his arm for what would be considered betrayal by any other criminal master, or criminal scum trying to sleaze his way to getting more loot as he's leaving?
>>

>> “No, we’re square you and I.”

Guys we've got a bazillion credits, why don't we just buy a tie fighter?
>>
>>46885676
Because what we were promised was one of the advanced TIE fighter prototypes; like a TIE Advanced, Avenger, or Defender.
Not a regular TIE fighter.

Also, the reasoning behind some of us voting to haggle for the TIE is that we think that Reike suspects something, and acting like criminal scum that has no shame to demand payment for a half-assed job would allay those suspicions.
>>
>>46885142
> “Wasn’t I promised a TIE of my own?”

>>46885710

>>
>>46885746
Hey, we're just asking a question here, and getting a TIE fighter and becoming an instructor/test pilot WAS part of the payment we agreed to when we first signed on with Reike.

Of course, what with our consistent lying and intentional sabotage of Reike's missions, he's well within his rights to refuse us those other things.

The only question is whether he'll feel angrier for us thinking we're still entitled to an advanced TIE fighter prototype, he'll feel that his suspicions might have been off because we're acting the way he thinks we would if we really are just criminal scum that wants to retire, or he'll troll us by giving us one of the remaining prototype TIE bombers that failed so miserably.
>>
>>46885710
>>46885828
What makes you think Reike is going to let Rhys buy a TIE prototype cash? Plus, even if he did, the price would be so high that it would inextricably put Rhys back in the hole, and then he'd have to run jobs again. Especially when Rhys just said he's a crippled pilot and can never fly like he wants to again.
>>
>>46885848
>let Rhys buy a TIE prototype cash
Reike promised Rhys a TIE prototype and an instructor/test pilot position, as well as market price liquidation of his auridium haul, for working for Reike.
Not letting Rhys buy a TIE prototype, but giving him one as part of the deal.
>>
>>46885890
Reike never said that was part of any severance package.
>>
> “Wasn’t I promised a TIE of my own?”

“Well, I mean. You did say I could have a TIE of my own.” He huffs, as if angry at being reminded at that. You smirk a little. “Come on, Admiral. You’re a man of your word. Can’t you part with one measly little advanced TIE fighter?”

He stares at you. Then he says, “Come with me.” You stand up and follow him out of the briefing room.

-

-

Merena Valerius again. “Sir?” You and Admiral Reike meet with her in the fighter hangars, where some of the new models are being tended to.

“Guide him, let him have what he wants,” says Reike. Merena looks confused for a second, then nods firmly. “Good.” He looks to you. “Cykgil. Until next time.” Hopefully there won’t be a next time. And with that, he storms away, hands behind his back, straight posture and everything.

Funny, a couple of years back, you probably would’ve loved working for a guy like him. Now though… You look back at Merena, who places her hands on her hips. “Um, Sir. Is there something I should know?”

“Ah, just a bit of business transaction. I was told I could have one of the new TIE prototypes,” you explain. Merena squints a bit in confusion. “I deal with a lot of stuff, Merena, I can trust you to just let it slide, right?”

She shrugs. “I guess, sir. Did Admiral Reike tell you?” Tell you what? “I was promoted to Lieutenant. I’m leading the first squadron of TIE Defenders.” Really? That’s… interesting. You smile a little. Are they really letting kids like Merena fly those kinds of fighters now? They must be desperate.

Nice craft, it’ll probably get replaced by the Defender though, or be put out of action by the TIE Bomber too. “And then we have the TIE Avenger.”

Maybe? I know the defender is less maneuverable.

>>
>>46886718
It is, in old canon.

I work off of old canon, but new canon takes priority and in new canon, the TIE Defender seems to have come directly AFTER Vader's TIE Advanced and the Interceptor without all the stuff like the Oppressor, Avenger, Hunter, Phantom in between.

At least, according to Star Wars Commander.
>>
>>46886766
Right.. but at a base level it looks like the defender, while less maneuverable is a better craft than the Avenger.

Oppressor is a big ass heavy fighter.

>>
>>46886766
So, should we go with the old specs for the Avenger and Defender, or go with the new specs?

Because the old specs, the Defender has two ion cannons that the Avenger doesn't, but consequently the Avenger is slightly more maneuverable.

Since Schteel said new canon takes priority, the Defender might be using the Star Wars Commander specs, which would make the Avenger the better choice.

However, the inclusion of deflector shields meant that the Avenger would not fall prey to stray debris or laser fire that claimed unshielded TIEs, and with its shields at full power the Avenger was exceptionally difficult to destroy. The succeeding Defender, while still remarkably fast and agile as the Avenger, relied more heavily on shields because its triple wing design gave opponents a larger profile. - Wiki.

So Avenger is small shielded tie that's really good.

Where the defender is a fat tie, with more shielding.

So.. it'll be easier to hit.. but hard as hell to actually take out.

I think we should probably ask what's different between the avenger and the defender.

“What’s the difference between the Avenger and the Defender?” you ask.

Merena points to the Avenger. “Lighter, more speed and maneuverability. You get the quad laser cannons, but you also get the general purpose warhead launchers along with an optional tractor beam. The shields aren’t as thick as the Defender though. And really, the Defender is uh…” Merena smiles. “The Defender is basically a tank. Quad laser cannons, twin ion cannons, missile launchers, tractor beam, plus thicker shields. They both have hyperdrives if you’re wondering. But we broke the hyperdrive on that Defender during trials.”

“So I’m just picking between crappy prototypes?” you ask.

“Well, I imagine the Admiral wouldn’t want to give just anybody a real functioning one,” says Merena. That’s a fair point. “If you want my opinion, the Defender is actually kind of slow, slower than the Avenger at least.”

“But which would you recommend?”

“Personal bias.” She points to the Defender. “The Defender has basically everything you need and want anyway.”

The TIE Defender was a far more flexible craft than the Avenger, with comparable shields and hull armor, and additional pair of ion cannons. The Defender retained or improved on the Avenger's agility and speed. Its only disadvantage was its large size relative to the Avenger and older TIEs.

Misri can make it faster!

And we already have a speedy ship in the form of the R-22, so we can choose between two builds. Not to mention a fresh ship to tweak the hell out of.

Also German, can we fit the Defender into the freighter?

They both have tractor beams right? I feel like the Avenger would be his dream ship. The Defender is normally faster, but schteel says this one is slower.

Avenger is more agile which is his thing. It's still got way more dakka than we're used to and it's still got utility.

TLDR: Skilled Avenger pilots could take out Defender pilots because of small size.

The TIE Avenger's primary role was space superiority or starfighter interception. The Avenger excelled in this role: during the Galactic Civil War, no Rebel Alliance fighter could out-run or outmaneuver the Avenger. In the right hands, it could outmatch its intended replacement, the TIE Defender, as the Avenger's small size made it a more difficult target and afforded it better maneuverability, and as the Defender's large tri-wing design introduced several blind spots.[1] When coupled with the tractor beam weapon, the Avenger was even more deadly.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE/ad_starfighter

>>46887667
Avenger is slightly longer at 9.8
>>
>>46887627
Yeah but we modified the R-22 to be faster and maneuverable to the point that Ryh's blacks out due to the dampeners aren't enough to keep up with Rhy's and engine's new power.

the Armament is a bit subpar to the new TIes but the four blaster cannons and it's ability to traverse 60 degrees in rotation, gives it a better firing arc then either.

Also with the addition of an Astromech slot give us more focus on the piloting aspect, as our astromech handles the shields and on board repairs.

Not to mention the signal jammer, Misri made out of scrap. Only thing we need now is part of the A-wing, to increaseour armament, and maybe add more reined engines.
>>
>>46887742
Right. That's a modified old fighter.

If we modify the avenger we may be able to do better.

As an example the manuverability rating for the Defender is 110. Avenger is 150.

I can't find a solid rating for the A-wing on rating of DFP but.

The TIE/IN interceptor, better known as the TIE Interceptor, was perhaps the Empire's closest equivalent to the A-wing. The Interceptor had two more laser cannons and better agility which gave it an edge in a dogfight, <-

The interceptor was more agile.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/RZ-1_A-wing_interceptor/Legends

The Avenger is even more agile than the interceptor by a significant magrin.

The Avenger may be able to maneuver at what his A-wing can currently do, or better, with better dampers.
>>
>>46887877
>>46887742
Additionally.

The Avenger was also more nimble than the TIE/IN interceptor and the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor, with a maneuverability rating of one hundred and fifty DPF. These factors were a major contributor in TIE Avenger's success over the Rebel Alliance's fighters.[1]

http://starwars-exodus.wikia.com/wiki/R-22_Spearhead

Here is the R-22 vanilla stats I found.

and I do find your points valid, but what i find that is a problem with the Avenger that like the R-22 is small, so I'm a bit worried about the room in which we can upgrade it, while the Defender if bigger give us better room to upgrade it to handle the Avenger.

Not to mention i remember a scene with Rhys lamenting on the Empire kind of discarding ships as merely tools. He feels that they should be kind of attached to their ships or at least take better care of them so seeing a Defender going to be sent to a scrap heap, seems like a waste.
>>
The admiral is almost certain to bug/sabotage any TIE he gives us. So how do we deal with that?
>>
>>46887986
90 DPF (R-22)
88 DPF (R-22/E)

same site has the A-wing at
96 DPF

http://starwars-exodus.wikia.com/wiki/RZ-1_A-wing_Interceptor

The other problem that we've got by moving to that site is that it sets the avenger at 104 and the defender at 175.

For citation it selects wookie pedia which directly counteracts it with 150 for the avenger and 110 for the defender.
>>
>>46888091
so either way it seems the Defender and the Avenger are both good.

I guess we're lending our R-22 to Whisper I guess, but we need to upgrade the Dampeners.

Also not to mention we upgraded the R-22 IIRC what German said to Vader's Advance Tie Fighter specs.
>>
Sorry for the pause. I'll try to get out next update. At least now I don't feel like vomiting.
>>
>>46888184
It's almost a generation leap.

The R-22 was at the start of the war. Avenger and Defender are late war craft.

Avenger emphasizes the small agile craft thinking.

Defender is more like an X-wing, however it's such a leap that it's still faster/more maneuverable than anything that came before it.

If we take the defender we'll be able to take out larger ships due to massive loads of ordinance and ion cannons.

It is an amazing fighter craft, however if you're really good the avenger can beat it.

The avenger excels at fighter v fighter combat and while it doesn't have the same massive ordinance load of the defender it's still got a more impressive one than our A-wing.
>>
>>46888239
>>46888184
+
The avenger is a variant of the advanced tie. If we can do anywhere near the same upgrading. We could potentially make it better than the Vader stats.. The R-22 started at a severe disadvantage, the Avenger is it's current stats, or better.
>>
>>46888239
>>46888276
I'm not disagreeing you on that though, I'm just trying to make a point that our R-22 is no slouch either especially if RHys is at the cockpit.

And if you say if a good pilot behind a Avenger can beat a Defender, then what will happen if a good pilot behind a Defender can beat an Avenger?

If we upgrade the Defender as well we can beat Vader and the Avenger's series stats.

Though I really wonder how we will be able to get better dampeners then these to compensate?

“I’ll take the Avenger then.” Merena frowns a bit, spurned by you not tacking her personal bias. You smirk a little. “What can I say, I like speed.”

“Speed isn’t everything,” she says.

“Yes it is,” you say. She blinks, surprised. “In dogfights, outrunning your opponent is a very important thing.” As if scolded like a child, she nods slowly. “Anyway, bag it up for me and just load it into my freighter. I should get going, I wouldn’t want to stick around here too long.”

“Wait, where are you going?” she asks.

“Oh, uh…” You stop yourself, then look over at R5. He whirls his dome around, quickly deciding to head back to the ship. Serves you right for thinking you could rely on a droid. “Let’s just say my relationship with the Admiral is on the rocks and I might not be coming around for a while.”

“Really?” She gasps a bit. “But… there’s so much more you can teach me!” She steps in front of you, placing her hand on your chest. “There has to be, right? I mean, y- you could pass on so much more knowledge to me and to the rest- well, mostly just me. I don’t mean to sound selfish- well-“ She coughs, a light blush on her face. “… please don’t go.” Well, it’s nice that SOMEONE doesn’t want to see you gone around here. “There has to be more stuff you can teach me!”

If they're both good? hard to say. I cited earlier somewhere that the defender has blindspots and isn't as maneuverable. So if it truly is a duel of the aces the favor may be to the avenger.

I know you've said the R-22 is no slouch but even as it is it's inferior to what we're looking at.

Defender upgrading? No idea. I prefer the avenger due to it's massive maneuverability increase. Schteel also said the big bonus of the defender, it's speed isn't in this model. Meaning this Avenger is faster than it, and more maneuverable.

“There’s always more to learn about dogfighting theory, Merena.” You cross your arms. “Tell you what. I could probably give you a couple of free pointers on my way back to my ship. How about that?” She nods, smiling, still hanging off your every word. “And, you know, one more thing. You don’t need to listen to everything I say. I may be a veteran, but you know, war changes. You gotta be able to adapt too.”

“Oh, I- I can adapt, truly,” she says. “But what’s the point in adapting if you don’t know when to adapt, right?” That’s… um. Yeah. Fine, whatever.

“Right, come on.” You lead Merena on. She pulls out a holopad, then starts tying out every bit of information you got for her.

The new TIE Avenger is loaded into the Lion’s Share with the help of some plucky technicians. “… and lastly, speed kills. Speed can kill you if your dampers aren’t working properly, speed can kill the other guy if you outrun him and turn around on him, you know that I’m sure.” She types it down anyway. “Got all that?”

She nods. “Yes, sir.” She looks up at you. “Well, I guess this is goodbye then, sir. I hope you have safe travels from here on.”

“Thanks, Merena.” Truth be told, it’s sad seeing her go. But as she walks away, you take in quite the sight.

On second thought, it’s great seeing her go. Look at her go. “Rhys.” Misri calls you from the loading ramp. You walk up to her. “So erm… what’s the plan now? Rotta just told me that all the ingots are being processed for credits right now. Are we rich or what?”

“Oh, we’re dead rich,” you say. “Did you need something?”

She sighs, biting her lip. “No, no, I just erm… I wanted to see how you were doing. I know you and I haven’t seen eye to eye too much but you know.” She gently punches your arm, giving a very nervous grin. “Gotta give ya credit for swiping me off of Coruscant. Showing me the Galaxy?”

After ordering your astromechs to check in on the TIE Avenger and remove any bugs or tracking devices, you talk with Misri in the machine shop. “Something happened when we were aboard the Vode An. I passed out, bleeding from my noise, felt like the world was just… emptier.” She leant forward on one of her work benches, frowning deeply. “I don’t know what it was, but it didn’t feel good, didn’t feel good at all.”

You were sitting in a chair, kicking your feet up, listening to her. “Maybe you just had some episode or something. That happens occasionally. Sometimes spacers blame it on Starweirds or staying out at space for too long.”

“No. I think I felt the death of all those Mon Calamari on that planet,” she says. “And everything else there too. Everything…” She rubs her head, groaning quietly. “Rhys, I-… I try not to force the issue about what it is that I am but… it feels like I could see all those people be…” She sighs, resting her head on the work bench. “I’m tired. Because that way, as we keep up appearances that we're retired, whenever Reike checks he'll see that we really have slipped and that we really did retire because we're not as good.

“You should lie down then,” you say. You stand up and take her arms. She groans as you stand her up properly and start leading her to her room. “Come on, I’ll get you something to drink.” In a few minutes of leading Misri back to her room, you set her down on her bed. In her room, you find a few podracing posters (interesting considering she’s supposed to be blind), some spare helmets, a few tools strewn about, and her bike. She hasn’t used that thing in so long.

You reach out to it. “Touch it and you’re dead,” she says. Damn. She’s good. You motion for her to stay on her bed and relax. And to her credit, she simply lays back and groans, placing her hands on her head.

As you pour Misri a glass of water, Kuvasz accosts you. “So what’s the plan now?”

“Retire to Wild Space,” you say. “The Harvester is being put into storage. Which means we don’t have to do anything.” Kuvasz folds his arms. “Now, don’t give me that look. I’m no Jedi, I ain’t going to run myself into situations I have no business being part of.”

“What if the Empire has need of that Harvester,” he says. “What then?”

“It’s not my problem,” you say. “And you can forget guilt tripping me about it.” You step past him, taking your glass of water.

“Rhys.” You stop at the door. “Bad things in the galaxy happen because good men let it happen.”

You look back at him. “Well, where were you for Duchess Satine then?” He stares at you, then huffs loudly. Yeah, you know your history. You got him square. He shakes his head, placing his hands on his belt. “Listen, Kuvasz. I know you want me to be a good man. But I was raised to care about family, not people.”

“Right, just giving my opinion, Rhys,” he says sharply.

Hmph. Opinions, always muddy things.

She smiles a little. “Maybe it does, Rhys.” Yeah, as if. “Kuvasz is right you know,” she says. You groan. Not this again. “If you’re wondering, I can hear a lot of things going on in this ship. That comes with being blind you know.”

“Misri-“

“No, it’s fine,” she says. “I know you care about us. Sometimes I just wish you’d care about others too. I’m not asking you to be here, nobody’s asking that at all. Me and Kuvasz, we just want the decent person in you to come out.”

“There ain’t a decent person in me,” you say.

She leans forward, smirking. “Oh, sure there is.” She gently kisses you on the cheek. “Less decent guy would’ve left me on Coruscant, or used me up for my body and my mind, not necessarily in that order.” She places her hand on your shoulder. “So… what’s the plan when we get to Wild Space then?”

That is it for this weekend. Sorry for all the slowness and the kind of meandering of this particular thread. I'm so rusty from not having run this in so long and I had serious stomach problems throughout too. Hope you all enjoyed regardless.

Is this the end for Rhys for now? Or will something come up again?

Actually, it might be bluntly speaking because honestly I've run out of ideas for how to continue Rhys' story, and I'd rather shelf most other projects for now in favor of LGA2.

However, if y'all still want me to run Star Wars stuff, I actually have a decent idea of how to continue the adventuring fun of it later on.
>>
>>46891545
Sure, I'm up for more. It kind of fell on a somber note then I expected. I was expecting something to go out like a bang.

I mean we never even tried the avenger or upgraded our R22 with new dampeners and a wing stuff
>>
>>46891599
Honestly, I would've preferred a more climactic ending as well. But sometimes you just write yourself into a corner doing these things. Oh well, persevere.

Rhys will have his time maybe and possibly something more climactic to its conclusion.
>>
>>46891545
I just wanted to test out Whisper's new skin, and drop a million or two Jennis' way to help her through whatever bad patch of debt she's found herself in now.
>>
>>46891545
Pastebin anon here. Should I update the paste bin?

I mean I feel a little sad to see this go and look back at several characters that are still up in the air.
>>
>>46891650
Rhys will do plenty of testing on that skin later, I assure you. It's very lifelike.
>>
>>46891545
But... this is much better than little girls pretending to tank.

>>46891642
Something something... Force.
>>
>>46891665
On who exactly?
>>
>>46891664
You can go ahead and leave the pastebin for now. Thanks for all you did, pastebin anon.

>>46891680
However, for sure I will come back to this and give a more definite conclusion to Rhys' story.

>>46891691
It's a sex joke.
>>
>>46891691
Farm girls.
>>
>>46891706
Really? I mean we finally got the two biggest scores. So it will kind of be a shame. I mean the only thing to make this better is if we got a v-wing and Lev woke up.
>>
>>46891706
Rhys wakes up sweating in the night and knows something is wrong? Misri is gone? She's gone all Jedi on us and he's got to figure out what's happened?

Someone has killed Jennis.

Or Misri has been abducted by the inquisition?
>>
>>46891756
>>46891760
Y'all will see in the future.

Personally I had intended for a far timeskip to about 5 years before The Force Awakens from the perspective of one of many of Rhys' illegitimate daughters, but I think I might go with the more immediate choice of going forward like a year.
>>
>>46891805
But.. who's her mother? Lottie? Jannis? X-wing chick? Other imperial chick? Misri? Whisper? One of the mados?
>>
>>46891829
That's the mystery of it.
>>
>>46891850
No eyes? Misri. White hair? Whisper? Snooty attitude? Lottie. Great cans and fuzzy ears? Jannis.
>>
>>46891805
Eh I think I prefer the immediate one since I have my cute girl liking cute girl quota with girls und panzer
>>
>>46891805
What will they do with all that cash?
>>
>>46891920
Retire to a farm, invest in the Furies as a mercenary company, get Rhys' arm to tip top shape, live like kings.

At least until I need to fuck their lives up and give them one last adventure.
>>
>>46891939
Why a farm? I mean I imagine Rhys starting a small fight school/proving ground for any new mods and possible ships he might make with Misri and Whisper
>>
>>46891884
How would we know if it was a mando girl?
>>
>>46891939
Make untraceable donations to rebels?
>>
>>46892017
Hates her father.
>>
>>46891979
'Farm'. Like the CIA training ground is called The Farm. It's a place where we grow pilots.
>>
>>46891979
His family farmed nerfs back on Jabiim along with other animals as well.

Or

>>46891979
>>46892047
That.

>>46892026
As if, Rhys hasn't learned to agree with them yet.
>>
>>46891939
What would the rest of the gang do int the mean time? I mean Whisper is stuck with us, and so is Misri (which I'm kind of surprised),

What would our Mando Bro, Lev, and VIkker do>
>>
>>46892059

He sort of agrees with whats-her-name. He'd probably send funds to her proto-wraiths
>>
>>46892026
The Rebels are the exact thing that would force the Empire to pull out all of its doomsday weapons, something Rhys wants to avoid.
>>
>>46892080
Vik would go back to information brokering and job contracting.

Kuvasz would actually be a pretty decent farmhand, so he might stick around as well.

Lev, well. Lev hasn't been revived yet despite Misri's best efforts.

All the astromechs though will actually slot into the role of farming implements quite nicely.
>>
>>46892130
Jannis would be a great mom.

Lottie would probably be shit. What's her face from the mandos, the one he fucked over would be okay but harsh.

Eudora is probably to cause driven.

Would lottie be that shitty drunk mom that always pines over your father?
>>
>>46892159
Lotte would be the kind of mom to push you to do the thing she did even if you didn't want to.

But then again, who WOULDN'T want to be an Imperial Officer? Come on.
>>
>>46892187
>If Lottie is mom the daughter literally becomes Rhys.

Wait you said daughters. Does that mean that there are dozens of Tiny Cykgil's running around?

I mean Jannis is the most likely suspect and the mando seems spiteful enough to never tell him.
>>
>>46892130
What about our OOM Pilot droids? and Misri and Whisper?

and Sparky?

I feel we could do better by making starfighters or teaching?

I mean the only reason I can think of for Rhys's life to be brought back to all hell will be if one of our students turned rebel.

On this farm where will our ships and AT-DP go?
>>
>>46892215
Rhys has had more conquests than you've probably seen in the Quest. Odds are he already has one or two kids running around wondering when Dad's coming back.

>>46892234
Pilot droids will become eagerly become butlers.

Misri and Whisper will help out on the farm along with keeping the Starfighters in shape for Rhys.

Sparks will be the watchdog.

Ships and the AT-PT will go into a safe storage.

>>

I really hope he doesn't have any kids besides the people we know.

But farming didn't win the vote. It was flying and piloting.

It didn't feel right to leave the pastebin unfinished. So here you go.

BTW Will Kuvasz write a book on his exploits? and wasn't he proud in punching Satine when he was younger so why did he flinch when Rhys mentioned where was he during that time?
>>
>>46892512
1. No. Kuvasz ain't a warrior poet despite the outwardly appearance of one.

2. Kuvasz constantly gets under Rhys' skin about doing the right thing. Rhys just fired back about Kuvasz NOT doing the right thing at one point, which led to, well you know.
>>
>>46892537
So what will happen to Eudora and Lotte, both were in pretty bad shape and its kind of strange to not here from them?

Also our Kouhai TIE Pilot.
>>
>>46892647
You'll hear from them soon. I'll will write give them definite conclusions in the future.

So when will we see the continuation of Rhys and friends?

I feel we missed a few plot points.
>>
>>46892763
Probably not until late May, I got exams and baseball games to go to plus LGA2 to worry about.

But it'll come, don't worry.
>>
>>46892782
Will it be one session finale or will it be one multi session story?
>>
>>46892866
Multi-session for sure.
>>
I'm surprised Misri or Kuvasz didn't run off to do their own thing after kind of pushing Rhys to do the right thing. I mean will Misri still practice the Force and will that summon the Inquistiros?

Also what does Rhys a farmer need for mercenaries? Will he have other enterprises to give him some profits?
>>
>>46892894
What will it take to make Whisper feel like a person and not general grevious?
>>
>>46892951
Misri and Kuvasz were going to leave the team on bad terms if Rhys turned over the Force Harvester to Reike personally.
>>
>>46893056
Your tender loving care.
>>
>>46893177
But.. Misri is best girl. Also Jannis.. I mean I can't say no to Jannis.
>>
>>46893177
Will we achieve that during our retirement?
>>
>>46893317
Maybe

Anyway, it's late and my stomach is still churning a little so good night y'all.

The optimist would look at this ending as the obvious setup for an inevitable sequel wherein someone tracks down Rhys for One Last Score. Or maybe the money ran out. Or maybe the Inquisitors track Misri down because she keeps practicing her Force powers moving around farm equipment with her mind.

Either way, do whatcha gotta do, Schteel. It's been a fun run regardless of whatever happens, and running quests takes a lot of coordination and thought. I think everyone here would appreciate it if this quest returns after LGA, but don't stretch yourself out if you don't have to.
