The Ox King's new vehicle is fast, and gives you all plenty of space, making traveling far more comfortable than before.

You find yourselves in a desert once again, but since you have a vehicle to help you cross it, it's not as bad as last time. The absence of a bandit and shapeshifting cat trying to steal your Dragonballs is also nice.

"There's a town up ahead," Oolong announces from behind the wheel. "We should stop and refill this thing."

"Nah, there's no need, we're almost there," Bulma insists, looking at the Dragon Radar. "We should be able to get the ball and get back here for gas in no time."

"Are you sure?" Oolong asks. "If we get stuck without transportation in the desert again-"

"It'll be fine," Bulma promises. "Just keep going."

Oolong pulls up to the gas station in the middle of the village. It seems like a nice enough place, there are people all over, talking and laughing, merchants selling food and other wares, and a few shops scattered around.

"Fill her up, please," Oolong tells the attendant.

As the car is being refueled, Bulma hops out.

"Well, boys, I'm going to go do some shopping," she declares, heading toward one of the shops.

You're not sure what's in them, but you figure vehicles to replace the ones she lost earlier.

She pays, and the two of you leave the shop, heading next for a clothing store.

The outfits look a bit strange to you, but the shopkeeper explains that they're made to be comfortable and keep people from overheating out here in the desert.

Bulma grabs an outfit and heads into a changing room. When she comes out, she's not only changed her outfit, but her hair as well.

It's an odd clothing choice, and not something you'd picture Bulma wearing, but she pulls it off pretty well.

"Well, how do I look?" Bulma asks, taking a moment to make sure her hair's alright.

Bulma pays for the outfit, and the two of you leave the shop, making your way back toward the car.

It's all filled up by the time the two of you arrive, and you're all on your way before long, making your way to the final Dragonball.

Stopping for gas when you did turns out to have been a pretty good decision, as it seems the Dragonball is further away than Bulma had thought.

You pass through the next village and continue on into the desert. Bulma checks her radar, and announces that it's not far now.

"Hey, I've been meaning to ask," Oolong says. "This big wish; there's going to be enough for all of us, right? I was thinking something along the lines of all the world's gold."

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, didn't I?" Bulma asks. "A boyfriend! That's what I'll wish for!"

"A BOYFRIEND?!" Oolong shouts in enraged disbelief.

"What's wrong?" Bulma asks.

"So you're going to waste our wish so you can get a boyfriend?" Oolong asks angrily. "What a ripoff."

"Hey, I came all this way, built a radar, and found the Dragonballs," she tells you. "I can decide on the wish."

She sighs wistfully. "You don't know what it's like, going as long as I have without a date."

Oolong protests, and nearly crashes you into something large. At first you think it's a tree, but looking up, you see that you're driving through a forest of what appears to be giant mushrooms.

That's new.

Bulma punches Oolong over the head and tells him to watch the road.

Silence resumes for a few minutes before Oolong speaks up again.

"Bulma, I'm going to ask you nicely this time. Will you PLEASE change the wish? There must be something you can wish for that all four of us can split," Oolong pleads.

"Remember, Oolong, one word from me and you'll have to go to the bathroom," Bulma tells him.

Oolong growls, and slams his foot on the breaks, stopping your vehicle dead in its tracks.

You, Goku, and Bulma are thrown forward, but nobody's hurt.

Bulma stands, looking absolutely furious.

"Oolong, you're making me mad!" she warns.

"This is a protest, Bulma," Oolong explains. "I'm not moving an inch until you change your wish to something reasonable."

"Sure, I wish you'd shut your face and drive," Bulma tells him.

For the first time since you've met her, Bulma seems to be completely at a loss for words. You can't help but smile inwardly at that.

Oolong's ears droop a bit, as he doesn't seem to have a comment for that, or the heart to suggest that's a stupid wish.

The only one who says anything is Goku.

"So, you're looking for your parents?" Goku asks.

You explain to Goku that four years ago, your dad heard some weird sounds coming from the woods and went to see what they were. You don't really remember what happened after that, but when you woke up the next morning, your parents were gone.

Bulma and Oolong don't say anything, though Oolong looks like there's something he wants to tell you.

You're pretty sure you know what he'd say, and you don't want to hear it, even if he's probably right.

"Well...I guess that is more important than wishing for a boyfriend," Bulma admits.

"Yeah, and maybe money isn't everything," Oolong says.

That's something you didn't think you'd hear from him.

Something strikes the side of the car. There's an explosion, and you're thrown from the vehicle along with the others. What remains of your transportation slams against one of the giant mushrooms.

"What happened?" Oolong asks in a daze.

"We got blown up," Goku answers.

A shadow is cast over you and your friends, and something large drops down from one of the mushrooms.

It takes you a moment to recognize it, but you quickly realize it's one of those strange machines you saw Shu and Mai use the other day.

Flames shoot from the bottom of it, and the machine lifts off into the air, passing over your heads and landing in front of the wreckage.

Goku, Bulma, and Oolong watch dumbstruck as the machine starts sifting through what remains of the car.

You rush forward, quickly approaching the machine while its back is turned.

Its top spins around, and a large, mechanical arm smacks you in the face, throwing you back toward your friends.

His machine is turned to face you, now, and you're pretty sure you've made him mad.

"You don't know when to quit," he says. "Stay out of the way or I'll squash you!"

You hear a noise. Looking toward it, you see Shu is clutching a walkie-talkie in his hand.

"Big brother, come in big brother," you hear a woman's voice say over it. "What's your status, over?"

That sounds like Mai.

"I-uh, suddenly don't feel so good about this plan," Bulma tells you.

"Yeah, I get the feeling we should get out of here while the getting's good," Oolong agrees.

"Why?" Goku asks.

The plane changes course, nose facing you and the others.

Bullets strike the ground in front of your feet, and you and the others dive out of the way as the plane swoops above you.

As the others run for cover, you run for the nearest mushroom.

You leap up and climb to the top of the mushroom, watching as the plane circles around for another attack.

"Ka....me....." you start, cupping your hands together and pulling them to your side.

You feel that warmth spreading through your body again, and begin to tremble, worse than last time. It's not because you suddenly have more power. Instead, you realize that it's because you're tired. The Kamehameha Wave clearly takes a lot out of you, and using it twice in such a short time is a lot for you to handle.

The plane, not seeing you, begins to dive down toward your friends, letting loose another round of bullets. As it comes back up, you thrust your hands toward it.

"HA!"

The blast flies from your palms, striking one of the plane's wings.

The aircraft quickly begins to spin out of control, crashing somewhere nearby. Up above, you see Mai parachuting to safety.

Your legs feel weak, and you slump forward, falling off of the mushroom and hitting the ground with a painful thud.

"Kid, are you alright?" Oolong asks, running to your side.

As she bends over and sifts through the wreckage, you spot someone coming from behind one of the mushrooms.

He approaches Bulma and draws his sword, pointing it at her back.

"Alright, step away from the car!" he demads.

Bulma goes stiff, slowly looking over her shoulder at the dog.

"You have?" Mai asks. "I mean, of course you have! So you'd better-"

"Yeah, he's that little mutant that built a palace in the middle of a desert and said he was Emperor of the World," Bulma says. "Didn't he try to take over East City by sending a bunch of pizzas to the mayor's house?"

Mai groans, looking down.

"There were," Shu answers.

"What do you mean?" Goku asks.

"Nevermind, Goku," Bulma tells him. "I'll bet Emperor Pilaf has the last Dragonball!"

"Does he?" you ask Shu and Mai.

They nod.

"Can you take us to him?" you ask.

They look surprised for a moment, then turn their backs to you and whisper to each other, but they're not very quiet.

"What do you think, Shu?" Mai asks.

"Well, Emperor Pilaf told us to bring him the balls no matter what," Shu tells her. "We'll be walking them right to him."

"And once they're in the palace, they won't be any match for Pilaf," Mai adds. "Alright."

They turn back to face you.

"Sure, we can take you to him," Shu tells you.

"No problem," Mai agrees.

Seventh ball, here you come.
