Silence falls once more and everyone keeps staring at the other participants, hoping someone would say something.
And it appears that Neliel has something on her mind.

Pesci is the first to respond to her with an awkward laugh.
But after seeing that Nel isn't laughing he quickly pipes down.

He looked almost like a regular human.
Think about how better things would be if we all reclaimed a part of our past lives.
If we could call ourselves human once more.
We wouldn't be mere monsters anymore."

You crash your fist into the table when she finishes and the large slab of quartz cracks under your fist.
You look at Neliel with anger in your eyes.
"Monsters?
Look around you Neliel!
We built this place up from nothing because we believed we could live proper lives even if we were such deformed creatures.
All that we wished for was a normal life and despite the difficulties we achieved just that!
We, the monsters!"

But she doesn't seem phased by that.
"I understand you Kaizar.
You are proud of what you made.
This place is a safe haven for those that wish for peace, yes.
But even if you oppose the idea of serving Aizen, you can't deny that it has benefits."

You look at your friends and comrades all of whom look at you expectantly.

Being an Arrancar isn't being human, hell it isn't even really changing who or what you are in the first place.

With that you stand up from the table and walk out.
It's doubtful that it conceived much effect but perhaps some of them will listen to you.
But it just doesn't sit well with you, the last time you served someone blindly it came back to bite you in the ass.

You don't feel like doing any work nor do you want to socialize with anyone after this.
The only thing you can do is to walk up to your treehouse and go to bed, getting some much deserved rest after the ordeal that was Aizen Sōsuke.
After hours of struggling to fall asleep you finally close your eyes and loose yourself in thought.

When the morning comes you don't feel like getting out of bed.
You keep rolling around on your pile of leaves trying to find a comfortable position to lay in and threatening anyone who dares to try and wake you up.

After you send away the sixth person you can hear someone ascending the ladder.
"I thought I was clear!
Fuck off!"

Pesci stops in his tracks and only his head is peeking in through the door.
"Boss, we have visitors..."

You toss your blanket aside and dust yourself off.

When you walk out the dim light of the underground actually hurts your eye a little after staying indoors for so many hours.
Pesci leads the way down to the ground and to the place where your supposed "guests" are.

To your surprise at the base of the tree you can see a familiar figure there.
It's Dordoni standing idly in his white clothing with two arrancars standing next to him, one is a tall, black man with an orange afro and the other is a woman with purple hair in a gothic dress, both of their clothings resemble Dordonis as they are almost all white.
When you get there you see Dordoni waving at you.

"Oy amigo!
It's good to see you again."
The man who is very small compared to you extends an arm to shake your hand.

You return the gesture and leave his palm covered in slime.
"It's been too long.
And I see you brought friends this time."

"That I have!
Allow me to introduce them.
These two are my fellow Espada, Cirucci Sanderwicci and Gantenbainne Mosqueda."

The lolita girl speaks up from behind Dordoni.
"Hey, hey, hey.
Don't tell me that this Slimeball is the one all that fuss is about."
Well she is certainly charming...

But as if struck by lightning you realize something.
"What did you just call yourself?"

"Hmmm?
Why we are the Espada.
The ten strongest members of our organization.
Or at least we will be, once we have the sufficient numbers."

Things are finally starting to click.
"You are serving Aizen aren't you?"

He looks confused.

I came to finally welcome you among us and I thought I'd bring some friends.
I thought that was obvious."

Of course he is working for him.

You grab the bridge of your nose and let out a heavy sigh.
"Sorry if I'm a bit jumpy.
It's just that I'm frustrated a bit.
You guys can stay if you wish, I'm sure the others are preparing for lunch as we speak."

The man with the orange afro steps forth.
"'Ey man, is it true that you guys are makin' actual food here?"

But before you could reply the closing presence of Neliel gets your attention.
It seems every major member of the forest is on the way to meet the arrancars.

"Well, yes.
All three of you are welcome to partake in the festivities of course.
The name's Kaizar by the way."

When Neliel and the gang arrives they immediately begin introducing themselves, it seems that Gantenbainnes personality sharply contrasts that of Cirucci.
And after the introductions are over and they had a little conversation Neliel drops a bombshell.

"Mr Dordoni if it wasn't too much trouble could you tell me how to become an arrancar?"
She brought this up out of the blue and everybody is stunned by how blunt she is.

Dordoni scratches his head before answering.
"I suppose señora, since we are on the same side now.
But are you sure about this?
This is a one way thing you know."

She nods.
"I am."

You can't really let this go and decide to interrupt them.
"Only after lunch!
We have guests here and we will be proper hosts Neliel!"

She blushes a little, it seems that she might actually be embarrassed about asking such a thing from Dordoni.
You tell your arrancar "friends" to follow you to the central part of the forest where you have the dining area.
When ordered Pesci shows each of them to a seat and afterwards begins assembling quick makeshift meals for them.
Hollows from all around Vanaheim start to gather for lunch and you soon have a large crowd.

You look at Pesci and see that he could use a hand.
"Okay, you guys just enjoy yourselves.
I'll go ahead and get things ready."
With that you excuse yourself as you head off to your friend.

The second you leave the hollows assault the three arrancar and you can see them busting out the dice and the cups already.
You just wish that none of them are sore losers or people might die here.

Pesci is already cooking the food and seems to be quite busy with it.
"Need a hand?"

"Oh thanks Boss.
Could you get the plates ready?"

"Sure."

With that you take off to get the cutlery from one of the storage containers.
When you get back to Pesci you can see Alex pestering him.
You put down your stuff and start chatting with them.

"Pretty nuts huh?"

The arrancars or the stuff with Aizen?"
Alex asks.

"Both, actually."

"At least they seem like nice people."
Pesci adds but the second he finishes you can hear Cirucci explode and accuse the other hollows for cheating.
"Well, most of them are...
Oh, food's done!"

"Hey Alex, wanna help me with this?"

"Sure!"

The two of you then proceed to bring everyone their portion of the food, the first to receive it are your guests of course.
When the plates arrive Dordoni is already salivating and keeps praising it to his fellows.
The two arrancars don't seem to believe him but after taking a bite even Sanderwiccis expression changes to that of pure joy.
Afterwards the two of you proceed to give everyone their food and then take your own share.

Rather than sitting down with the arrancar who seem to be the center of attention today, you sit down with your friends.
To your surprise even Yata came to join You, Pesci and Alex.
He looks over to the three Espada in the center of the crowd.
"So these are the arrancars?
Interesting."

"Even you think so Yata?"
You ask.

"Of course, they are fascinating.
But I'd personally not do it even if I knew how."

You blink a few times in surprise.
"Really?

The rest of your meal goes by peacefully with Alex talking about her new human friend and Yata being way too interested in him.
When you finish your food you are informed by Pesci that there is still one more barrel of booze stashed away and that you should give it to your guests.
You agree and get the remaining alcohol for the arrancars.

They see you coming from a mile away with a large barrel on your shoulder and they give you a puzzled look.
"What's this amigo?
If it's more food then I'll pass, I can't eat another bite."

"It's better."

"Oh?"

"Let's say that it's a welcoming gift."
With that you set down the barrel and punch a hole into it, then you give a tankard to each of them.

After giving it a smell they are all shocked.
"Aw hell naw!
You didn't!"
Gantebainne is the first one who speaks up.

"I did!
Now drink before I change my mind!
This is the last one after all."

The other hollows also take from the booze and what ensues is another day of belligerent partying.
You decided to skip drinking this time and instead went to your friends to a few games of dice.

As the alcohol ran out so did the energy of the hollows and the party died out.
Dordoni comes up to you, not quite drunk but a little tipsy.
"Kaizar you loco!
Making booze in Hueco Mundo!
Brilliant!"
He laughs heartily and even smothers a small tear under his eye.

"The Boss is a miracle worker.
Whatever he gets into his head, he'll turn it into reality."

"Really?
Then I guess you WILL become a Vasto Lorde, won't you?"
He gives you a much more serious look.

"That's the plan."
You reply.

"Good, I'd hate to see you disappointing Aizen.

After sorting things out the three of them make their way to the quartz tree.
Alex and Pesci are looking at you expectantly.
You sigh a little and speak up.
"I already told you that you can do what you want.
Just make sure if you are okay with it, got it?"
They both give an affirmative nod while Yata keeps sipping on his juice, not caring the least.

But as you were about to leave for some fresh air Gantebainne comes up to you.
"Yo man!
Thanks for the food an' everythin', it was amazing."

But he scratches the back of his neck and speaks up once more.
"Can I ask a favor of you?"

The two of you then move to the fight-ring.
When you two step in the other hollows begin gathering at the sight of an ensuing battle.
They begin chanting "fight" over and over again.

Gantebainne looks at them and smiles a little.
"Well they are lookin' excited!
Ready man?"

You raise both of your fists and place your left leg forward, taking up your natural fighting stance.
"Ready."

With that he launches at you with a sonido and tries to deliver a punch to your stomach.
You respond with raising up your right leg and redirecting his punch with your knee.
When you successfully deflect his attack you follow up with a straight jab.

Gantebainne then uses sonido once more but this time he moves at such speed that you can't follow his movements.
He managed to avoid your fist and he is now even closer to you.
The weapon attached to his left wrist flicks forward and electricity begins to run between the two blades.

"Uno!"
With an astonishing punch he strikes you right in the abdomen.
His claws dig deep into the tissue and deliver a shock of electricity which causes your muscles to begin contracting uncontrollably.
Now he activates the weapon on his right arm.

"Dos!"
But what follows is not the punch that you were expecting.
Instead exactly 198 attacks hit you in the gut, each one delivering another jolt of electricity.
His barrage is incredibly dangerous, since if you take the first hit you'll be unable to dodge the follow-up.

"Cientos!"
And he finishes it up with a powerful overhead strike.

When you hit the ground the kinetic energy causes the ground to explode, leaving a small crater under you.
Gantebainne seems to be satisfied with the results.

"Damn! You actually survived.
I didn't hold back because I thought it'd be humiliation' for you.
I guess God really must favor you."

That hit a nerve.
You push yourself up with both of your hands and stand up, you cough up a little blood as you do.
Your body is severely cracked and most organs in your abdomen are damaged.
But currently you are too pissed off to take note of it, that one line of his will be his downfall.

You extend your left arm and with an open palm you beckon him.

He says.

He charges you again and tries to attack you in a similar fashion but this time you have other plans.
As his fist gets closer to you your tail intercepts the attack.
His weapon pierces your tail and delivers a small shock once more but this time his fist got stuck.
You pull your tail closer and place your foot so he trips over it.
Once he is falling your glowing, yellow eyes start sinking into the abyss until they are barely visible.

With all of your anger you deliver a powerful downward punch straight into his face.
You can feel his cheekbones shattering and his face molding to the shape of your knuckles.
His body hits the ground under you and bounces off of it.
While his body is in the air you raise up your other fist and deliver an equally powerful blow.
This time it's him that creates a small explosion when he lands.

But much to your surprise he stands up with only a large bruise on the right side of his face.
Your fists on the other hand are hurting.
Like, a lot.
Punching him felt like ramming your fist into a steel beam.

He deactivates his weapons and starts to fondle around inside his mouth.
After grunting a few times he spits on the ground.
It appears one of his molars just fell out.

He caresses his cheek as it starts to swell up.

What followed was a sort of golden age for your little community, with its newly empowered guardians and the trio of Espada who became frequent visitors and protectors of the place.

The next 10 years passed by without anything significant happening.
You've heard that Baraggan was planning on starting a war with you but that never came to fruition for some reason and any other threat was easily destroyed by your forces.
Your newly minted arrancars enjoy their new existence as pseudo humans.

Alex frequently visited the Living World to meet Asher.
You've accompanied her a few times but not always, he is currently a priest in training under the Catholic church which brings endless amusement to you.

During this time you kept training with your friends and occasionally Neliel who pretty much outclasses you in every aspect.
Your own powers also increased but to this day you haven't achieved the state of Vasto Lorde yet.

You watched with pride how your surrogate daughter slowly grew and got stronger with each day.

It was a fulfilling 10 years.
In retrospect you couldn't wish for more.
And strangely enough the past doesn't bother you anymore.
Back in the day when you felt happy there was always a little guilt mixed in alongside sorrow about your losses.

You pick up a handful of sand and watch as the specks simply flow out of your hand.
It reminds you of the flow of time and how much the world changed in that time.
The fall of Germany seems like a distant memory alongside your own death.

It shows how far you've gone when you heard the news about Germany being split in two.
Normally you'd have popped a vein but after all that you've been through you couldn't feel angry about something so meaningless to an everlasting creature such as you.

In short, this is the point where you feel everything will start from.
A new beginning.
You've moved on.

And that's when the explosion happened.

When the last particle of sand left your arm a crack appeared on your palm.
As the turquoise light began to emanate from within the cracks began to spread.
In a moment they encompassed your entire body.

With a torrential release of reiatsu illuminating the entirety of the Forest of Menos all hell broke loose.
Everyone assumed it's an attack of some sort.
Hollows from miles away began fleeing in terror.

From that surge of blueish-green light a shadow steps forth as the pillar dissipates.
The cracks are still present but they aren't glowing anymore.

As the chrysalis crumbles a small shadow emerges from within.

Pristine white gauntlets and greaves begin gleaming in the moonlight.
Two large pauldrons are connected to his chest armor.
A black waistcloth flows from the gentle wind that's blowing after the storm.
A mask reminiscent of an axolotl is closely fitted to his face with a small horizontal slit revealing pristine blue eyes.
A few strands of blonde hair that reach to his shoulders appear from under his helmet.

Well being a fullbringer was a foregone conclusion once Masaki was attacked by a hollow.

Aizen's goal wasn't making Ichigo a fullbringer, it was a bunch of crazy eugenics shit which only happened because Isshin showed up.
