Picking up some supplies for the trip may not be a bad idea. Never know when you're going to need to do some quick fixes on the ship, or if there's any way to install modules on the ship to make it more stealthy for a better getaway.

In addition, Maple knows that Cooler is at least as strong as 2nd or 3rd form Frieza, who was capable of crushing them pretty handily. Taking a moment to investigate more about this fusion dance or any other interesting techniques that the Metamorans might have could be useful when they go to rescue her.

If we're going to mount a proper rescue, we're going to need information about the planet that Lazuli is on, such as the location of planetary spaceports, weather, maps, and any type of planetary phenomenon that might aid/hinder rescue attempts. We're also going to need to plan exactly where we're going to run and where to lay low after we pick up Lazuli and blast off the planet she's on. Can't have the PTO tracking Maple & Co. back to Earth. We're gonna need a detailed galactic map for that, as well as any local information on that planet that we can get our hands on.

That blue dude seemed to know a lot about ki manipulation, seeing as how he was able to defuse Maple & Alena. He'd be a good person to approach about teachable stuff.

You bring up the idea of having Lapis and Krillin learn the Fusion dance, if possible, and take a couple days to practice the technique on your own, making sure Chiaotzu learns it as well. It... doesn't go quite as planned. The actual fusion is VERY specific in requirements. It's almost like you need to be a perfect mirror with another person, motions completely synchronized, or else it'll fail. Maybe Krillin and Lapis have better success with the technique, but so far, you've got nothing beyond the motions themselves.

Well... maybe not quite true. You've sort of gotten an idea on how to speed up the split, since the technique to defuse itself is even harder to master, and trying to use a transformation in a failed state is just asking for trouble. And all it takes is spamming the Clothes Beam until you're out of energy. Which... well, at least you can make things comparable to your regular Clothes Beam now.

Finally leaving for Brench, you try to arrive as discretely as possible, even fashioning PTO armor for yourself and Chiaotzu for when you land. A red, blonde Brench woman, this time most certainly not some shape shifting illusion alien in disguise, greets you once you and Chiaotzu arrive at the spaceport. "G'day to ya' both. Business or pleasure? Or are ya' here for the special event?"

...you do and you don't like where this is going. 'Did... Towa do something with that stuff?'

'In a sense. Seems her and Gero mashed up some kind of strong mind control substance that can be added to... the Black Water Mist.' He sighs softly. 'They... almost took over the Earth. And they almost got to use the Dragon Balls. But Kami, Piccolo, and some of your pals stopped this whole scheme.'

'What did Kami do, exactly?'

King Kai clears his throat. 'Well, he managed to use my technique to stop the leader of this whole debacle, Aza, as he tried to pull a Garlic Jr. several times over. Towa's demon opened up a portal to the Dead Zone, large enough that it risked consuming the whole planet. So Kami used the planet's energy itself against Aza.'

'Wait, how?'

'Like I said, my technique. The Spirit Bomb.'

Before you can get more information from this, you feel a sudden spike in someone's Ki. Lazuli... and she's headed right for Cooler and King Cold. You focus on her and immediately shout, 'ARE YOU INSANE?!'

'I've got one shot at this, Maple, and I'll take it. I'll blind them and stop Cooler.' She's... nowhere near confident enough about this plan for your taste.

She refuses to listen. Chiaotzu gains this look of despair on his face. There's... no way to get there in time. The two of you look up at the monitor, a Brench man announcing the arrival of Cooler and King Cold.

"And there they are! His highness King Cold, and his son, our one and only Lord Cooler! Here to make an example of those wretched rebels!"

Cooler seems to be in a sort of hoverchair of some kind, while his father, a titan of a man with crown-like horns and a flowing cape, stands beside him, a... frankly bored expression on his face. There seem to be three more aliens with them, one of them clearly a Brench, who smiles and waves to the camera. On the smaller tyrant's face, a grin, smug and confident, appears. "Rest assured, my people, those treacherous terrorists will be brought to justice. We'll show them what happens when you defy the graceful and noble will of the Cold family."

"Graceful? Noble? Don't make me laugh."

"Ah, good, she has the courage to confront us. And here I thought you would try the cowardly approach, like sabotaging our ship." Cooler responds with a somehow even smugger grin. Lazuli's shocked expression causes him to laugh. "What, did you think we weren't aware? Oh it was a genius plan, it might have worked too. Crash the ship into the heart of this star, destroying any chance for me to escape. But even the most black-hearted of traitors know what would happen if they commit regicide."

The purple Frost Demon points to his father, who finally manages a chuckle. "My other darling son is not as... merciful, compared to my boy Cooler. He wouldn't stop with you."

Lazuli stares blankly at them. "...this was a set-up."

"One that has guaranteed the safety of some of your fellow conspirators. I can show mercy to them." Cooler leaves his chair. "But an example needs to be made."

Personally, I like to find an unpopular idea or unpopular thing, and support it as hard as I can.
I got a lot of good trolling done when Undertale was popular. I manage to upset a lot of people online by saying that women should not be given power because their uncontrollable hurt feelz will leak into their decision-making, and they'll use their power to wreck anything close to them. I got a thread to 150 replies a month ago, by taking a "Give someone an XP boost for roleplaying well" argument, swapping it, and arguing that people who build their characters well should get a bonus to their roleplaying (i.e. more GM favouritism with how NPC interaction goes the way they want).

It kind of falls flat, though, when there really isn't anything to disagree with.

Depending on power levels and stuff that can be heard from the dubs vs. subs, King Cold's resting PL is around that of Mecha-Frieza's resting PL, so ~60 million would be a very generous estimate for someone at rest and not serious about fighting.

Krillin at around ~10,000 managed to cut off Frieza's tail, who was at ~1,000,000 at the time but not ready for the attack. That's about a magnitude of 100x difference, which is about the same for Lazuli vs. an unprepared King Cold.

That breaks you out of your thoughts for a moment. "W-wait, really?"

"Yeah, really. They're inside, napping." He places his hands behind his head and smiles. "Sounds like you need some time to rest too."

"L-later... what about Goku? Where's he?"

"Not quite sure. You two were kind of the priority after we heard of your situation." Yamcha responds. Krillin and Chiaotzu arrive as soon as he finished stating that. "Ah, Krillin, perfect timing. Know where Goku might be next?"

"H-hey, what do I look like, a taxi service?" he laughs out. "Hrmn... I can get a lock on him soon, shouldn't be too hard. Just give me a moment."

You get moving, heading to the kids. They seem... stronger than you remember. Ah, Pantea and Videl are with them too. Upon seeing Piccolo with his eyes closed, apparently napping, your kids resting on his lap... you can't help but giggle. "Well, turns out the son of the Demon King is a pretty decent babysitter."

"Laugh it up, Maple." Aha, he's still awake. "Actually, take a picture, it'll last longer."

You're just about tempted to do that. "...you do look a little tired. Something been up?"

"Oh, no, just trying to prevent Makyans from taking over the world. Nothing too big." he responds with clear sarcasm. Hah, even he smiles at that, gently patting Gohan's hair. "Can't complain too much. Better than trying to go against Turles again."

You sigh out loud. "I hear that. Still... no place like home."

He nods, finally opening his eyes. "Welcome back."

"Ah, Maple!" Krillin's voice echoes. "We found Goku... and Raditz, too. And the rest of the Saiyans, it looks like. Seems you'll want to see this yourself."

Lazuli's going to need some time to process all this, balance out the fact that she's kind of responsible for Cooler's vengeance being directed at Earth with... well, the fact that she just about killed King Cold. Krillin and Lapis are going to try to get her to see the positive side of this as best they can, at the very least.

There was a tradeoff. Namely, going to space for space things and space fights for losing out on the earth stuff. This is the price paid for honorary Ginyu membership, fighting off a Piccolo wannabe with the Big Gete Star, a Xenomorph that might be good with us out there, the fusion dance, and space conmen.
