It's cold. The river, that is.

You never thought about it before, but it's true.
The Yangzhe which gives your family so much wealth (or used to anyway) and prestige (or it used to, anyway) has an icy, firm grip that saps the power from the muscles and takes away your breath, rendering the most powerful youxia crippled once sunk underneath it. And you are NOT the most powerful youxia.

As you flail in the icy cold water, trying in vain to swim despite your horrible injuries and stare into the unfathomable depths of the river, you wonder what other secrets the water holds? How many mysteries? How many dead bodies? Just like you.
Because, you realize, as your ribs hit a stone as you are forced by a brutal current into it, your ribs cracking like porcelain and forcing bloody red air bubbles from your lungs, you ARE going to die here.
There's nothing you can do about it now.

Maybe something you can do about it afterword, though.

The river crushes the life out of you like a duckling thrown into the rapids, and soon the pain becomes such a universal part of your body that it's almost a relief, a constant ache you can more easily ignore. It seems fair that there should be LESS pain as you die, not more of it.
Suddenly your torment ends as you cough and sputter into the air, too delirious and injured to even work out if it's day or night, only that there's sand on the ground.

Someone stands above you; he's younger then you are, but he holds himself with an unmistakable aura of pride and strength.
A youxia.

You cough again, one hand struggling through it's crippling injuries to accomplish it's task as you cough out a single garbled two words as you circulate the last of your qi before you die, pushing bloody river from your lungs and out your mouth as you finally succumb.

"Avenge.....me!"

>YOU ARE NOW PLAYING AS SKY

So there you are minding your own business catching fish for lunch by the river when a dead guy washes up right freaking next to you and babbles out for you to avenge him and scratches the dirt with his fingers before kicking the bucket.

"Oh," you say dryly. "Super."
Like you don't have ENOUGH problems already.

Yanking back the long line on your bamboo fishing rod and winding the line around it (not going to catch any fish NOW) with a single swift tug that you put your internal energy into, you glance around at the lake.
It's a early summer afternoon, and the lake is placid and calm, no rapids or whitewater anywhere nearby. Lots of boats though; this is perfect fishing weather, which is why you thought you'd catch some lunch, maybe dinner if the haul was good enough.

So how he hell did this guy fall in and drown if the river's so smooth today?

Indeed.
Mystery of the Delierium Dagger is going to be a single condensed storyline rather then part of an overarching epic, so it's going to be easier for me to finish before dumb shit gets in the way.

Less "epic novel", more "short story".

You lean over and check out what he was doing with his hand in the sand before the water scratches it out; he wasn't moving his other one so he wasn't trying to drag himself onto land at all.
On close examination it's a poorly drawn character that looks mostly like the symbol for "water" but all mangled with lots of extra scratchings, like his fingers weren't working right.

"Avenge my water?" you wonder aloud, scratching the back of your head. "Man, those are TERRIBLE last words, guy. Right up there with 'eerk' and 'owie'."

That CAN'T be what he meant by that, that doesn't make any sense at all.

You sigh and roll the corpse over.
He's about two inches taller then you and roughly about your age, maybe a little older. His short hair is brown and done up in a small topknot atop his head in a traditional style, though that's ruined by the not so tender mercies of the Yangtzhe. He's decent-looking, more strong then handsome you suppose. He looks like a reliable sort of guy you guess, if you had to use a word.
He's got pretty strong muscle definition under his wealthy but torn clothes, like a farmer or soldier, but your suspicions are confirmed when you feel his Dianten.

"You were a youxia, huh?" you mutter to yourself as you grab his right hand, the one with which he scratched the character into the sand, wincing as you turn it over.

The tendons on his wrist have been severed in one neat, cruel slash, leaving sad trails of red down his arms. You check the other wrist and see that it's been done there too, an identical cut that would have nearly crippled his hands.
Wincing again you turn up his legs to look at his ankles to find they've been hamstrung.
This man even if he had lived would likely never have walked without cruches ever again and could likely never have practiced kungfu with such deliberately horrible injuries.

His other wounds are less horrid, but no less gruesome; crushed ribs, likely from the rocks at the shoreline, and two neat little holes made by a small edgeless puncturing weapon, like a spear with no blade and only a point.

"Hidden weapons, maybe? But then where are the projectiles? Crossbow? No...same problem," you wonder.

You begin to root through his pockets and clothes, hoping to find something at all to identify him so you could at least send word at a message post that he died and just wash your hands of the whole thing all at once. Assuming he's a youxia that lives in civilized lands, that is.

You find three things of note; a waterlogged leather pouch filled with enough silver to make you think he wasn't hurting for money and that the motive wasn't robbery, a knife thrust into his belt with gold filigree on it's mother-of-pearl scabbard, and a family jade.

You turn over the jade and look at the name on the inset jade medallion;
>"Xi"
"At least I know your family name now," you mutter, grabbing the knife and unsheathing the blade.
It's straight, single-edged, and comes to a point and very new; the scabbard was water-tight and the steel is shiny and keen and extremely well-made. You turn it around and find an inscription on one hand in tiny characters;

>"For Xing-gege: may it protect you even as you protected my heart."

"So," you say to yourself as you sheathe the blade, "either you're Xi Xing or you killed him took his knife and family jade. This knife has 'treasured gift' written all over it, and NOBODY gives up their family jade if they can help it, especially not a youxia."

You take the dagger and the family jade, stowing them in your belt, deciding you don't really need the cash seeing as you have some of your own already.
"Probably make everyone think I'm a corpse-burglar anyway and I SO do not need that on my reputation now," you mutter, looking around the river for a new fishing spot.
With the corpse washed up it's sudden passage likely scared away all the fish, so you aren't getting lunch from over here.

Your eyes while scanning for a new place in the shore to fish spot something interesting; a floating grouping of rafts the distance with tables and chairs on them, like a long flat boat that appears stationary, and what appears to be a tiny food stall for serving river boatmen built atop it.

For the record, this choice DOES matter in determining which way the plot initially develops. You'll learn different stuff and meet different people in different orders based on your choices. I try to avoid truly "meaningless" choices.

You turn and walk towards the small boat you've been using to travel the river. You don't NEED it technically since you have Kamushin, but you've frequently found out how easy it is to get lost while traveling with your great condor ally despite the greater speed.
He's also kinda conspicuous when you land and sort of gives away who you are since Mighty Kamushin features in the rumors constantly surrounding you as Lightning Tiger.
Before you get in the boat you frown sadly and bow in the Wulin Salute to the corpse.
"Though I didn't know you, I'm sorry for your death Xi Xiang, if that is who you are. I'll do what I can to see that you rest peacefully in your next incarnation and avenge you liked you asked me to and try to get your belongings to next of kin."

You stop bowing after the awkward prayer and hop in your little boat, kicking away from the shore with strength enough to send water shooting out behind the craft as you sit and take out a paddle and begin maneuvering it towards the little restaurant on the river.

A few minutes of paddling later you tie your craft up to the huge flat raft-like boat and leap onto it, your eyes glancing around at the area.
You smell noodles, vegetables, and meat being cooked in hot oil, and there's enough room here for small nine tables, each with four chairs. Other boats are tied up near yours to the anchored restaurant, and nearly all in attendance seem to be fishermen working the river.
A clever business tactic; selling lunch nearby to workers is a common method of ensuring profit, and whoever owns this place figured out how to do it on the river to fishermen.

As you walk up to the counter where the owner is working over noodles you only see one customer of visual note; he wears simple, clean, all-black clothing and a wide straw hat to keep the summer sun out of his eyes, and wouldn't be noteworthy beyond that if it weren't for the sword at his side and the fact that he's sitting alone.

You don't move too quickly and notice that as he raises his drinking hand (his right) it passes and pauses before the grip of his weapon momentarily before moving on as you pass by. Not enough to be a threat, but just long enough to be cautious. Clearly he recognizes you as a fellow youxia of some sort.

You politely ignore it.

"Heya," you say to the man at the counter.
He wears simple peasants clothes and wears a dirty apron, has a shaved head and a dusting of beard across a wide, rocky jawline covered in small scars, including one that bisects his right eyebrow in twain, and one on his nose suggesting it has been broken before. His arms are big and burly, obviously used to heavy labor despite his fairly physically mundane profession: you're guessing that he used to be a fisherman himself once upon a time.

"Hot dry noodles with some wine," you ask, dropping copper coins on the table.
Henods and begins frying the noodles in seasame oil after placing the wine jug in front of you with a nod.

Well, certainly now it does, seeing as most of the stuff that replaced quests are meme threads and those three repeated troll threads that have a picture of Spoony, the Elf Queen, or a hentai gif of a devil girl.

That being said, there are some good ones. I particularly like Magic Duel vs Save the Princess and Audit Quest. /qst/ seems to bring in more drawquests, so that's always appreciated.

"I'm new in the area," you ask in a casual tone, sipping your huangjiu as the noodle guy comes and places the dish in front of you with a pair of chopsticks next to it. "What's the local news? Anything I should know to avoid?"

Noodles nods in response as he cleans the counter with a rag.
"The Wuhai Bandits are causing real problems lately. The local constables are trying to fight them but their leader, Iron Ox Li Kui, is a fierce warrior who shows no mercy to those who challenge him. Nobody's been able to defeat him yet and since he kills everyone who challenges him and looses less and less constables are interesting in actually doing anything about him and local officials seem unwilling to commit more resources since overall the damage they do to traffic in the region is minimal. You don't much look like the type that avoids trouble to me though," he notes without any real inflection in his voice.

"I've heard stories about another group in the area though, the Xi Clan or Xi Family or whatever?" you bluff.
Noodles shrugs his brawny shoulders but does nod.

"The Xi Clan, yeah. They're a pretty old sect in the jianghu. Used to be pretty important in the area ages ago when they took tolls from and protected river traffic, but they've been in decline for some time. A long time ago one of their clan chiefs, Xi Xufeng, was a pretty famous guy and he's the Clan's real claim to fame. He had some kind of style and that made him completely unbeatable. Youxia from all around challenged him to duels and lost so quickly that it surprised everyone. Even from major factions like the Eagle Talons and the Heaven Sword Alliance."

"So why haven't I heard much more about this Clan then?" you wonder.

"About....hmm, let's say fifteen years ago, Xi Xufeng died. Nobody knows how or why, he was just found dead. No one else in the family could equal his talent even when using the fighting style he created. They've been making inroads recently and gaining some influence, but not because of any of their martial skills, just lots of alliances to important people. One of their direct family members is getting married to someone from the Resplendent Phoenix Society, for one."

You sip your wine and begun to ask another question about the local goings-on, but stop and look behind you as you feel something shifting.
Nothing has moved and nobody else has either (including the swordsmen in black), so you keep eating your noodles with your face close to the bowl as you think of another question when suddenly around the edges of the boat eight men in black wearing black cowls and black cloth face masks and with sabers on their backs suddenly leap free of the river's embrace and onto the raft like fish jumping up out of the water!

Everyone on the floating noodle cart cries in in surprise and recoils at their sudden appearance.....except for you and the swordsman, who just keep eating noodles and drinking wine, respectively.
One of them speaks up after looking around with hostile eyes as he carefully examines everyone there, his voice muffled through the wet cloth around his mouth.

"We're looking for a murderer who unjustly took the life of a friend of ours!" he growls, eyes scanning the raft. "Anyone who hides him from us or lies will be sorry that they did!"

You make a brief decisions before raising your chopstick-filled right hand as you sit at the bar top.
"You know the guy that did it? What he looks like and stuff?" you ask in an inquisitive voice. The leader glances over at you with hard eyes and waits a moment before answering your query.

"We know who performed the murder, yes," he answers, but there's a slight hesitation in his words. Sort of like he didn't know how to answer the question at first.
"Okay," you say, still eating noodles, slurping a few up into your mouth. "Cos' I found a body on the ground over that way," you confess as you point your chopstick over on the northern shore where you last were. "I don't know if he's the right guy for you or if he's the victim but I figure you might want to check. Can't be that many bodies washing up by the river, right? I figure he must be related to your whole thing. He had this stuff in him, I was going to give it to a constable. Hopefully it can help you figure out the whole thing."
You try to sound as helpful as possible, but something about his demeanor has you on edge, and as you watch his eyes glance over at the shore you pointed at you see wheels turning behind them as he think much harder then he should about what should be a fairly binary decision.

There's another pause, one that takes a half second longer then you hoped it would.
>"Dammit...,"
you think to yourself, knowing what comes next.

"You found his things.....because YOU are his killer, villain!!" he barks fiercely, and everyone suddenly begins crowding off the noodle raft onto their boats to gain some distance from what is clearly about to become a fight.....except the swordsman, who stays calm like nothing's happening.

"That's a pretty interesting judgement to make. Thought you knew what his killer looked like?" you ask, not putting down your bowl of noddles and chopsticks, a knowing smile crossing your face as you raise an eyebrow at him.

"Nah," you say, attempting to be as dismissive and annoying as possible. "You guys are interrupting my lunch. That's pretty rude. I think I'm not even going to move from this chair until I finish."

You can see the leader loosing his temper behind his mask.
"You all saw! We tried to be polite and he insults us! Kill him!" the leader orders and a one of them moves at your sitting spot with sabers at the ready.

"Don't break anything!" Noodles says to you in obvious annoyance as he ducks behind bar, and you stay perfectly still with a smirk on your face, bowl in one hand and chopsticks in the other.

"Trust me," you tell him without taking your eyes off the thug, still smiling." Absolutely nothing you own is in danger of being broken."
>>

You kick with your left leg to one side just as the saberman's blade falls down where you were one moment earlier, skating along the wooden floor of the flat boat without ever leaving your chair, watching the keen edge closely as it sails by and stopping your sliding dodge with a kick from your right leg, before kicking out with the left again right into the diaphragm of the first attacker, knocking him back a whole foot through the air onto his ass and out of breath!

"Like I said," you repeat, keeping your bowl of noodles upright so nothing spills and your chopsticks remain clean for eating, "I'm not even going to move from my chair until I finish."

The men pause as they look at their suddenly dropped ally, realizing that you aren't some helpless rube they can blame the murder on.

"Well? I'm waiting," you ask, still being annoying. In your experience it never hurts to just piss people off during deadly fights; they already want to kill you after all, it's not like things get much worse then that in terms of escalation.

One of them charges and you kick yourself out of his reach again as the blade falls between your legs where you just were and you at the same time rise one foot and plant it onto his face as he swings into it, splattering his nose all over his face and pushing him back with a heave of your knee!
Another comes in towards your right and with a scything right kick that is almost perfectly vertical with your spine you deflect the wide flat of the blade as it drops towards you and knock it out of his hands into the river before completing the arc of the kick and dropping it onto his knee, causing the joint to pop backward like a hammer hit it!

As he screams you kick behind you onto the bar to skate forward past the group into the maze of tables in the center of the boat!

Goddamn, it's been so long since I've heard that music.

And to think that Bioware's never going to make a sequel...
>>
>>48250892
In all fairness, literally none of the staff working at BioWare is actually the staff working at BioWare anymore; everyone who started the company, worked on their various projects, and helped write or design their games and gameplay left for pastures and the entire staff is now people EA moved from other companies to BioWare to fill the vacated positions.
>>
One on your right swings at your head as you pass by him and you duck down just below the arc of his swing, launching an elbow at his throat, stomach, and then groin with your hands still filled with chopsticks, each hitting with the force of an iron thunderbolt and smashing his testes, windpipe, and intestines into a bruised mess!
You stop with both feet and kick out with your right into a spin fast enough so that your left leg sweeps out towards the head of the two men charging you! One ducks the blow but his partner on his left takes it full in his face, causing him to fly off his feet onto the floor as your blow dislocates his jaw and loosens his teeth!
The other raises his head to move to hit you, only to realize your spin never stopped and you sweep his legs out from under him with your right before stopping the spin with a hard plant of your left leg and rising up your right leg into an axe kick that SLAMS down on the tripped one's ribcage hard enough that you can feel it buckle and bend when your heel impacts upon it!
The last one charging you never has time to stop as you throw the bowl straight up into the air and plant a hand on the back of your chair and vault yourself into a spin that increases the length of your foot-strokes into his chest and face by several feet even as he charges right into them with his full body weight!

He falls to the ground like a wet sack of manure as you spin yourself back into place and catch the noodle bowl....and take another bite of them with your chopsticks, still smiling.

The leader's eyes are wide in total shock.

"Who......who ARE you?!" he says, clearly too flabbergasted to say anything more intelligent.

"Nu-uh," you say as you slurp a few more noodles. "You attacked me and made up crap about me killing some guy I don't even know. YOU tell me YOUR name first so you can apologize."
You can actually SEE him gritting his teeth in fury at you behind his mask as you slurp up the last of your noodles, and his right hand suddenly goes to a weapon at his belt, a short one-handed blade no bigger then a dagger with a single edge and he draws it and charges forward with such great speed that you actually can't even clearly SEE his arm move!

In shock you kick up to your feet, realizing that he's several tiers of skill above his goon squad and turn the recently-emptied wooden bowl in your right hand outward and just BARELY manage to catch a thrust in it that otherwise would have been driven right into your throat!

Almost reflexively at such a fast blade getting so close to you you brace your left arm with your right hand at the elbow and rotate Yin and Yang, your left elbow sparking briefly like as lighting travels up your firearm to the palm holding the back of the bowl!
There is a sound like distant thunder as a cobalt blue flash explodes the bowl as if struck by lighting and your enemy jerks back in surprise as energy travels through the bowl into the blade and his hand, rocking him back on his feet with a cry of shock!
The observing swordsman's eyes widen in surprise and Noodles behind the bar's jaw drops like a stone as he sees the display!

You pull back your palm still holding the elbow with your right hand as blue sparks of lightning dance between your fingers, letting everyone know exactly what just happened.

"Sorry. Did I forget to mention? I'm Feng Tiankong, Sky. My father is Feng Renshu," you say with a satisfied tone to your voice.
"L...Lightning Tiger!!" the man with the knife says in total shock, gripping it tighter as he takes up his stance. To his credit, he doesn't run from you.

"That's the one," you say, shifting your feet and taking up a stance with your palms facing forward.
"Hey, Noodles. Sorry about your bowl. And here after I promised I wouldn't break anything," you say apologetically, not taking your eyes off him.
The noodle maker says nothing, but keeps watching you and the knife-fighter with wide eyes.

You pause, inhale to circulate your qi, and then EXPLODE forward in one bolt of incredible movement leaving transparent blue afterimages as you TRAVERSE THE INSTANT PATH!

Your knife-wielding foe (it annoys you that you don't know his name, it feels silly to keep thinking of him as "that guy" and "your foe" and "knife dude") is caught off-guard but STILL manages to react with excellent speed, dodging to one side from your right palm strike aimed right at his face!
He shifts the grip on his knife and darts it towards your left side, and you slide away with a bit of Lightfoot skill while throwing a right kick to the head he dodges even as he re-orients his side-thrust into a slash that makes you pull back more!
His style's footwork is excellent, easily on par with yours or your sworn brother Duan Lei's, and he strikes with high precision and speed! The only thing keeping you ahead of him is that his forms are fairly predicable and straightforward but he makes up with them with blinding speed and precision, and his shorter blade means he can maneuver it around fairly quickly in close quarters!
Unfortunately you're so focused on dodging you don't even realize when you reach the far end of the raft and almost slip into the river below the boat!

You turn to see the water just briefly and see another stabbing thrust at your right shoulder come flying at you!

>WDYD?
>[Lightfoot OFF the boat and find a foothold out on the river!]
>[Try and block the hit and get close to hit him where he won't be able to easily dodge!]

Alright, I'll keep posting until after this fight at which point I'll stop.
You can let this post fall off the board if you want or ask questions (not that I think there will be many at this point), as next time I QM I'm going to try and put it on /qst/ on an EXPERIMENTAL basis, and if it proves not to my liking I'll put it back on /tg/.

Just keep an eye on my Twitter and I'll be sure to take you to the /qst/ board, same as on /tg/.

You know you can Lightfoot off the raft onto the boats surrounding you but you're not sure if he can follow you or not, and finding your footing while moving without knowing how nimble your opponent is a pain in the ass, so you decide to see if you can quickly disable your enemy!
You grit your teeth and raise up your leather bracer on your left arm with a simple metal plate atop it to deflect the blow as quickly as possible as he thrusts, parrying it aside JUST as he connects and enough so that it only cuts into your side in a long, thing slash rather then piercing through your kidney completely!

You feel a lance of dull pain as you lean into the blow and make it a glancing hit rather then a debilitating one, and thrust a brutal palm strike right to his face glowing with the sparking electrical force of Form One!
The impact takes him full in the head and he feels the full strength of your shoulders and torso behind it as the electrified qi surges into his body like a thunderbolt and fries him like an egg in a wok! He goes flying back through the air towards the opposite side of the raft!

You momentarily exalt before realizing that he got hit TOO hard by that impact, and that as strong as you are his internal energy seemed strong enough that he should have been able to take that better even when hitting him with Form One.

"Shit!" you say as you watch him spin his body through the air as he rolls with the impact, using it to Lightfoot away into the water in a nearly perfect swan dive that causes almost no splash at all!
You rush over to the opposite side of the raft and look for where he went.

Nothing can be see in the water, and he doesn't come up even as your eyes scan the river for him.
>>
"Hell! Can't believe I feel for that...," you mutter in pure frustration, realizing just how canny your enemy was.
He apparently figured out from your initial strikes that you were at the very least a match for him in combat, and so decided to make a getaway rather then waste time on a fight that didn't favor him. His objective wasn't to defeat you in honorable combat, just to kill you, and when killing you was no longer a certain strategy he immediately booked a quick retreat rather then waste time on a pointless fight.
That says a lot about him; maybe he's not your martial equal, but he's not an imbecile either and is extremely focused on his objectives rather then the methods he uses to get there.

You wince and put a hand to your blood left side.
That smarts like a bastard, and you only took it because you thought you could start really landing hits to take him down rather then let him get away.
You hear clapping from one end of the raft, and you see the swordsman in black lightly bringing his hands together in applause.

"That was impressive, Hero Sky," he says in a sonorous voice that appears mismatched with his fairly average build as he picks up his sword in his left hand and turns towards you.

"My name is Inspector Lin of the Imperial Cormorants, the River Marshals of the Ming Empire. I'd like to ask you a few questions about a body you supposedly found just now....,"

Yeah, Lord Licorice made a new archive for /qst/, right after it got announced. You can find it at http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html. You'll still have to do the request interface, but still, it's nice to see that he didn't leave us grasping for straws.

Not a problem. Try checking out some of those quests I mentioned.
There's also Bun-Quest, in which we're a cyborg bunny with a katana and an ass laser. The art's pretty cute, even if the OP passes out without warning a lot.
>>
>>48253610
Believe it or not, I don't really have much to do with quests when I'm not doing my own.
I just never had much interest in them I guess.
I enjoy doing these myself because it's an exceptionally challenging creative writing exercise that keeps my literary muscles in better shape then if I just tried to write shorts that nobody read except myself.
>>
>>48253683
Huh, never really expected that answer. Kinda figured it was a sort of "I feel like GMing something, but I don't have a group to play with" thing.

Regardless, I'm heading off to bed. G'night, WS. Hope to see you around more often.
>>
Don't go to /qst wulinsage it's a trap!!!
Stay please!
>>
>>48253755
Oh no, I totally have a group.
But QMing isn't really much like GMing at all, at least not the way I do it admittedly.
>>48253961
Like I said, it's just an experiment.
It'll only be a permanent move if I see it's a definite improvement somehow.
>>
>>48253446
He even has united tag search for tg and qst, so if you run things there, they can be found in same search a old stuff.

Altho staying on tg is still probably better. Mods aren't evicting anybody and they clean up shitposters if they get active.

Do you still intend to kill best girl? Because I will find out where you live.
>>
>>48254671
Also, if I'm right I think I've already figured out what Shang Buhan's deal is just by looking at his name and hearing he's foreign.
>>
>>48255118
>Do you still intend to kill best girl?
I mean, if this was still going to be an epic ongoing quest adaption of the novel series idea I originally had yes, I would probably still do that. Her death was one of the only truly solidified ideas I had for the entire plotline and much of her character development on my part was based around the idea that she eventually is killed.
But it's probably not ever going to be that because it's harder and harder for me to do that sort of thing in a Quest format as the plot progresses and requires a LOT of planning on my part to the point where I should just write the fucking novel already.

Instead I'll try focus on sporadic episodic adventures in the life of Feng Tiangkong as he travels the Wulin, perhaps advancing his storyline here and there, because it's easier to write out and create a self-contained plot and then adapt that into a Quest where the player's choices influence the story then some insane multi-novel kungfu epic.

Don't worry, I'll still have lots of the introduced characters appear and do their thing and add unnecessary but highly entertaining consequences to Sky's tumultuous life.
Already working on a story concept taking place after Mystery of the Delirium Dagger actually, though that's jumping the gun and I should really focus on the here and now before i do that.

Speaking of which, I REALLY wish I could fucking draw for shit, it's a pain having to find even remotely accurate looking artwork for different characters in this Quest and I can't just keep using Dynasty Warriors character art forever....

This might be a bit crass of me to say sage but i wish you had spent more time on previous episodes, like the time with the bandits and escorting Yuans daughter right now you are all over the map i mean that ghost was a pretty cool enemy, and i really like your writing style, but as it is we are getting involved with things with no resolve to even try to finish them. because Sky will just do it anyway and we will never hear about it again.
>>
>>48260736
Pretty much what i am saying is "Dude i wanna read your book"
>>
>>48259038
Problem is /qst/ tends to be as dead as a doornail. It also lacks the /tg/ culture for its quests, which is either a problem or not, depending on how heavy your player input has to be.
>>
>>48260736
>>48260776
I honestly should never have started either. I have neither the organization nor planning to go through with either.
>>48260781
I don't know what /tg/ culture for quests even is in this context.
And my input right NOW is almost minimal; it takes hours to even get to 100 posts at which point I generally have to let the thread die because I have other responsibilities I have to attend to.
I get that that's just the deal, but the slower the quest moves and the less input I get the longer the quest takes to go anywhere and the less time I'm likely to have to finish it before something else happens.

As I said, moving onto /qst/ is going to be a experiment and if it doesn't work out I'll come back here. I don't care about boards or board culture or even helpful technical bits like italicizing or bold text, I just care about running the quest as efficiently as possible when I have the time to run it.
>>
>>48260934
>culture

Basically just the accepted standards and expectations. How silly/serious, etc.

Really if you started here, then here is probably better to stay. But its your choice in the end. This is the first one of your threads ive read so.
