You begin channeling reiatsu into your palm and watch as mucus begins to build in your fist clenched around the blade.
The goo slowly trickles down until it fully coats the sword from the guard downwards.
When that's done you jam the blade into the sand under you and when you pull it out the sword has been transformed into a makeshift cane for you to use.


As you place the sword on the ground and lean on it you can feel the pressure lessening on your weak leg.
"That'll do."

"Incredible..."
Harribel marvels at your power.

After making sure that the sword can support your weight you turn your attention to Harribel.
"Shall we?"

"After you."

It doesn't take you too long to find Marr, usually the place where the others don't dare to go is a safe bet.
When you arrive you can see the titan carefully fiddling around with his helmet while he is surrounded by piles of rubble.
As he raises the helmet in order to put it on it crumbles while in his hand.

"FUCK!"
He lets out a quick shout as he looks down at the remains of his headwear.

"Perhaps it's a wrong time to disturb him..."
Harribel whispers to you.

"There's no point in delaying the inevitable."
You reply to her and begin limping towards the giant.

Marr after noticing you sits down in a very relaxed manner at the largest pile of rocks.
He gives you an incredibly fiendish grin as you approach.
"You seem to be walkin' all funny like!
Did you perhaps step on spike or something?"

By the way what's wrong with your attire?
It seems to be much more segmented than the last time I saw it."
You reply to him in a sarcastic manner.

And in that instant you could hear a loud smack as Marr delivered a powerful swing right into Harribels left cheek.
Marr grins once more as he raises his still clenched fist, you can see some blood on his digits.
Harribels eyes are wide and you can see a glint of fear in them.
She however quickly regains her composure and straightens herself.

She looks Marr straight in the eye and then turns her head, exposing the left side of her face.
"Continue if you wish."

Marr lets out a hearty laugh at this which was so intense he had to smother a tear.
"AHAHAHAHA THIS IS GREAT!
For a chick you sure have big balls, which I like!
And not only are you full of piss and vinegar but y'er a tough bitch which I LOVE!!"
He begins swatting the air, signaling for you to leave.
"You made my day blondie, now get out before I change my mind."

She bows down before him.
"Thank you!"

As the two of you are leaving she keeps caressing her right cheek.
"That went better than I expected."

As you are walking you begin to wonder the extent of damage she suffered from that.
You could help her but given your condition and the fact that you used your powers to construct your cane means your reserves of the Einherjar is already low and this could further delay your recovery.

You look at her wincing and decide to speak up.
"How bad are your wounds?"

She looks at you in surprise.
"It hurts but I'll get better.
Why are you asking?"

You lean heavily on your cane and extend your other hand.
As your open palm begins to glow mucus begins to seep from your pores.
You look at her and reach out towards her.

Looking at her you half expected her to refuse but you quickly change your mind as she begins to undo the zipper of her top.
She stops when she begins to reach her neck, revealing her mask which covers the entirety of her lower jaw and sports a set of teeth any predator would get jealous of.
Now that it's not obscured you can see the extent of damage she has suffered.
Her right cheek seems to have shattered pretty badly leaving a rather large, crater like hole from which many cracks spread throughout her mask.
From the cracks you can see blood flowing outward, not a whole lot but enough to be concerned about with such wounds.

She reaches out and dips two fingers into the goo and begins to rub it in the fracture.
As it gets applied you can hear the typical sizzling sound accompanied by the high speed healing.
"This feels rather strange."

"Is it getting better?"

"Yes, it doesn't hurt as much.
Thank you."

"You're welcome but please don't come to me with papercuts, I'm running on fumes already."

"If so why didn't you use this to heal yourself?"

"Isn't it obvious?

It takes for a while for every Espada to appear and it takes mere minutes after that for your guests to appear.
To your and everyones surprise both of Aizens lackeys have also shown up.
Aizen takes his rightful place at the head of the table and his two men take each of his sides.
The glass wearing, slimy rat then gives you his usual creepy smile and greets you.

You get a good grip on your makeshift cane and try to stand up.
Aizen meanwhile looks at you quizzically.

Harribel stands up and bows slightly.
"A pleasure to meet you Lord Aizen."
She then takes her seat once more, leaving you standing alone.

Aizen looks at you and begins speaking.
"It fills me with immense joy to see you being such an asset to our cause.
All that time I've invested in you paid off."
He shifts his gaze to Harribel.
"As for you Harribel, I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
From this moment onward you'll be taking Kaizars place as the Segunda Espada."

In that moment you can hear someone slamming onto the table.
"Just a fuckin' moment!"
You can see Aimee Morris standing up from her seat furiously.
"Are you telling me some bimbo bitch just waltz in like that and she gets the place of 2nd?

Aizen barely acknowledges her existence, in fact barely raises his voice for that matter.

You can see that Aimee is perhaps angrier when you put her in her place.
But surprisingly she takes her seat and acknowledges Aizens order.

He pulls out his sword and places his palm on the ring at its side.

The one thought that crossed your mind was: Bankai?
And as that thought passed you noticed a pitch black void enveloping the entire area.
Soon you felt all of your senses being nullified one by one, sight, hearing, scent and even your Pesquisa.

However this only lasted for a few moments and soon you saw the black dome slowly disappearing.
As your senses returned the first thing you saw were Marr and Kaname as he is being held up in the air by his throat.
You mutilated Tōsen in your mind several times but not even you wished this fate upon him.

Marr on the other hand is absolutely livid.

He says as he tosses Kanames body to the side.

In truth Aizen stands at his side and proceeds to sever all connective tissue in Marrs limbs.
Then he cuts open the main artery in Marrs neck.
When he sheats his sword you can feel that nagging feeling of yours disappear and everyone seemingly gets to their senses.
Everyone sees Marr decimated in an ever growing pool of his own blood.

Aizen then delivers his speech.
"You have outlived your usefulness.
You might have been powerful but now we have better, safer alternatives.
I bid you farewell greatest warrior of Hueco Mundo. Rest in peace."

Well this is an unexpected situation.
The man who broke your body is about to bleed out in front of you.
But you have options.

As you watch over Marr with his bloodshot eyes and unending rage you take pity on him.
You once more lean heavily on your cane and stand up.

Everyone is looking at you expectantly as you reach under your coat for Basilisco.
You won't kill him with a shinigami sword, he was better than that.
As you grab your rather large knife and raise it above your head you eerily resemble an executioner.

You take a good last look at him as he is coughing up blood.
It's strange because you can almost make out the words he is trying to say.

But he always gets stopped by his gag reflexes.
You give a careful glance to Aizen to see a drop of sweat on his forehead, he is scared. But why?

Regardless of that you say your last words to him.

And you smash down with your sword, beheading him.

His death was painless and almost instant as the feedback of his neck being cut induces brain death.
It's over, the oldest hollow just perished.
You take your scarf and let it soak in the blood that got on your blade, turning it red.

After sheathing your sword you grab hold of your stick and shamble back to your seat, exhausted.
Doing all of that left you exhausted and you are glad that you can sit once more.
The others are all looking at you and eventually Aizen speaks up.
"How noble of you Kaizar, I thought you'd be glad that he is out of the picture."

"We were not friends but everyone deserves that much. And even I can respect his strength.
If I was in his position I'd want the same treatment, that's it."

As you say that you can see Marrs body slowly disintegrating into nothing.

In the following years you took your time and made sure to make the best of it.
Most of your days flew by with you hardly doing anything other than training.

The funny thing is that seeing your dedication inspired Neliel who practically begged you to train with her.
It was just like in the old days, you and Neliel fighting one another.

The final result of this training was that you managed to put that cocky bastard Grimmjow in his rightful place, under You and Neliel in rank.
He was mad about it for a while and even threatened to challenge you but somehow as time passed he forgot about that whole thing.

Amongst the Espada you actually managed to make some progress.
Out of the old trio only Dordoni speaks with you frequently, the other two think you are beyond them because of your rank.
You managed to get better acquainted with Aaroniero to the point where he shared some stuff about himself, turns out he wears his mask because the other Espada frequently bullied him for his appearance.
But to this day you haven't seen his face.

Wang Lan took the death of Marr roughly, she was alone in that regard.

There are two main formations in the army, the regiment and the squad.

The Regiment is comprised of an indeterminate amount of non Menos arrancar, and is usually but not always led by a Menos. They're job isn't to be a combat force per say, but mainly to run patrols and generally "hold territory," be it here in Hueco Mundo or in SS once we conquer it. They're the poor bloody infantry without whom any conquest of SS would be pointless since Aizen wouldn't be able to control the place.
The squad is a bunch of Numeros (Menos Arrancar), led by a Cifra (digit). Essentially an espada without the rank. A Lancero (Lancer), is an arrancar who is given a special position despite never being a member of the Espada and is effectively coequal with the Priveron Espada (who can still lead their old fraccon as squads). A classic example from canon is Rudbornn Chelute.

After a few swings with his sharp claws you kinda figure out his pattern and manage to simply avoid most of them.
When you see that he is open at the end of his attack chain you move in with a low punch to his torso as a counter attack.

He notices you but rather than dodging begins to gloat.
"Idiot!
My carapace won't even get dented after just a p-"

And in that moment your fists dig deep into his skin delivering the full force of your punch right into his gut.
After the shock spreads throughout his body he spits in surprise.
You jump away just in time to dodge his swing, as you watch the hole you just made in his armor quickly begins to heal.
"What was that?!"
He asks.

You jump in place a few times and take a few practice swings.
"I knew a being far older and more powerful than you could comprehend.
He taught me a valuable lesson about hollow armor, it's great against slashing attacks like our natural enemy the shinigami but it's terrible against blunt force."
You take your ready stance as you lock eyes with him once more.
"Here goes!"

And you dash off to him, this time it's you who is on the offensive.
His large insect like body doesn't allow him to dodge so he intercepts your attacks with his own but the blades simply bounce off your reiatsu infused fists.
After you clear his arms you swing and hit him straight in the stomach once more leaving a very similar hole in him to the last.
But as you wanted to resume attacking he kicks sand in your eye with one of his legs.
As you are blinded his arm swings towards you and hits your shoulder.

As the blade hits you can hear the usual sound of steel hitting steel.
The blade grinds against your skin but fails to pierce it.
You grab the blade and deliver your third punch.
This time he coughs up blood us well.

He reels back and gains some distance, waiting for his high speed regeneration to kick in.
As the wound disappears he begins breathing heavily.
"Fuck... that...
MY TURN!"

He lashes out at you and begins the same attack pattern he used before but this time he amps up the speed and reaches over 20 hits per second with his fierce barrage.
They don't do anything but this speed takes a while for you to adjust to.
When you finally do his hits stop landing once more.
As you dodge the blades and get behind his defenses to deliver your next attack something unexpected happens.

An attack much faster and stronger than the last few comes flying toward you.
You worry that this might have the power to penetrate your Hierro so you fire off a Bala onto the incoming scythe and blow it away.
Now you finally get what Neliel meant, why he is here as a potential candidate.
He might be lacking in raw power but he makes up for that in the form of potential, in this short fight he already improved a little.
His untapped potential must be huge!
And now that you think about it something has been bothering you ever since the fight started, a strange and unfamiliar feeling is constantly in the back of your mind nagging you to no end.
You have no idea what it is but as the fight escalated alongside Nnoitoras reiatsu it got increasingly more frustrating.

But with that said you grab hold of one of his legs and lift him up with that.
As he is swinging in the air you begin smashing him into the ground over and over again.
Eventually his body lays in a crater, cracks adorn his exoskeleton all over the place.

With that you strike him down just as he told you to.

We had this weird feeling when Aizen BTFO Marr despite closing our eyes, and we had it during the fight with mantis. I think shittery is afoot. You need to see Aizen release his sword to be affected by it, but does that mean only the moment of his release command, or does it have a grace period just after he releases it that you aren't supposed to look at it as well?
