Would anyone be up for changing up how Hinata views the way for her to use her gifts a bit with the hyuuga fighting style? I was imagining that if she could use a bow and arrow and could guide the arrows, she could end some encounters before they even begin by literally sniping them. She would always have her melee to fall back on though.

What about ninjutsu? Should we find out her nature and get her swole in the arts of blasting and other utility jutsu? She has great stats for it.

You won’t let him set the pace- you’ll show him who’s cornering who…!

Speeding toward him using the shunshin, you feign a strike to his head- where his seal is located. Reflexively, he goes to block- but that strike never comes. In a fluid motion, you launch another strike to his right shoulder- the one Naruto nearly destroyed. He blocks- but while he does so, you use your momentum to land a solid kick in his ribs.

He rebuffs you, and you land a short distance away- which is fine.

“Neija, bite me, quickly!” you hiss quietly.

“Hmhmhm~ Ask and you shall receive.” the snake hums quietly.

The telltale pinprick of her bite is accompanied by a burning sensation that quickly spreads throughout your body. While most would be incapacitated by this poison, you’ve grown resistant to it’s effects, allowing you to benefit from the wave of relaxation that comes after the burning dissipates.

“Neji won’t ever see this coming!” you think, suppressing a smile.

He rushes to engage you, and you oblige, using the shunshin to meet him.

You both quickly exchange blows- neither of your attacks connecting in any solid way. It’d be like sparring, if your cousin wasn’t so intent on burying you here.

Picking up the pace, you begin to strike harder and faster. This pushes him back ever so slightly, as he backs off to take momentary respite from your blows. What he wasn’t expecting was the hard strike to the head that shouldn’t have hit- but did, as your elongated limb connects.

His headband, the target of the strike, clatters to the floor, revealing the strange marking across his forehead- the Seal of the Branch House.

With a flash, he’s upon you- his strikes with more force behind them than before.


Dropping into stance, you try to counter his blows- but it doesn’t seem possible. His strikes before were precise, with the surgical precision of the Gentle Fist- now they are more akin to hammers, raining blows upon you.

You manage to block each strike, hoping that he’ll tire himself out from this onslaught- instead, your resistance only seems to make him angrier.

“I… won’t lose….!” he growls, throwing himself at you.

As you roll out of the way, his last strike meets the wall- pulverizing that section into powder.

You quickly glance over your arms- they’re already bruising up, though you haven’t felt any true pain from them.

As he charges, you clap your hands together and utter the summon command for more snakes- then extend them out, releasing a nest of snakes upon him!

“Eight Trigrams: Revolving Heaven.”

In a whirl of chakra, your snakes are either swept aside, or eviscerated.


Exiting the whirling chakra, Neji walks calmly towards you- a complete mood shift from before. You rush to meet him- you can’t let him take control of the battle, you were doing so well!

Unleashing a flurry of strikes, you try and aim for his chakra points- if you can seal them, this fight will be over- all of them connect. He seems nonplussed by this, instead attacking you in kind. You only able to block some of the attacks, before taking a particularly nasty hit to the shoulder.

You spin from the force of the blow, before he stops you- by catching your arm. You try to slip away, but his grip is like iron- before you feel the force of his knee to the back of your arm.

You hear the snap before you feel it- with the waves of pain hitting you all at once.

You crumple, trying to favor the broken arm- it sits limply at your side, bent slightly the wrong way at the elbow. You furiously try to scamper away- but he’s quicker. As he stands above you, you feeling something spring forth from your collar- Neija.

Her fangs are imbedded in his arm- he gazes at her with curiosity before simply prying her off and tossing her aside.

After a few moments, though, it’s clear Neija’s venom is taking effect- Neji begins to sweat, and he looks rather unsteady on his feet. This makes him even angrier- and you see a strange pattern begin to crawl over his skin.
