>What is this
Last time on /tg/ a bunch of anons rolled up an ork klan. We now continue the process of refining them as a concept.

>who are the strayt shootaz?
A group of orks who like accuracy in shooting and looting tau weapons. Also hunting nids. They're Lead by Blu Toof, an orkish kaptin who travels in a looted Tau Cruiser called 'Da Choppa.' They're associated with a rogue trader named Frederick Froogalos and do work across their currently unnamed segmentum.

They've looted a lot of Tau Gear and have it spread across the boys. They have a disproportionately high number of hovering and flying vehicles thanks to the tau tech and a lot of cyborks and chromeboyz.

They're mortal enemies of the Chimera legion ( https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Chimera_Legion ) and friends to all orks. (after dey krump 'em and show 'em how to be proppa marksmen.)

Their snipers are called long arms (statted as flash gitz) and usually use Tau railguns.

They have a legendary kommando named Magrumm Blakkrokka who leads their kommandoz.

A sniper named Koonan Karlayl who leads the Long Armz.

A painboy mekboy combo named Dokta Krush. He likes to make chrome boys and cyborks.

A deranged tau earth caste named A'loh'ha who works slavishly in return for various priviliges. Extremely violent. Good at making maddened prototypes but bad at real maintenance.

Magos Wret: an enslaved magos sold to blue tooth by an uncaring master. Leads a minor resistance against the orks of Da Choppa by leaving behind a trail of shoddy but acceptable repairs.

Also Da Choppa is a tau vessel with a rokk welded to it and has a genestealer infestation. The orks think of them as pets.

there's a thread up at the moment about making a new Tyranid race that seems interesting, and I think they're trying to connect it to the Strait Shootas seeing as how they like to hunt tyranids.
the general schtick is that they have mass swarms of gaunts that all have minor bio-plasma mutations, that let them pierce armor

"But boss, why we got to do dese drills? We ain't stormboyz, wot's der point?"
Kaptin Blu Toof opened his maw to shout, then shut it again. This, in itself, was a worrying sign. Ever since he'd talked to that Rogue Trader, ever since they'd looted those Tau, he'd started to think before he talked. To the average ork, it either meant the boss was going soft, or he was a real cunning git. Either of which was troubling.
"Boyz," he said, "I seen the troof. It be a hard troof, but dere ain't no denyin it. Da Trader showed me a piece ov it, but I had ta put it togever meself. Dis be a real theological troof, ya get me? I seen da troo difference, da divide... between Gork and Mork. Da troof about dakka itself. Me eyes 'ave beened opened."
He paused. There was silence. Every ork hung on his every word.
"Wot Gork thinks about dakka," he said, "is dat de more dakka yer firin', da better." He pivoted suddenly, leveling his new plasma gat at the ork who'd called out the question, a full two hundred meters away. Again, the orks marveled at the pause he took. The restraint it took, not to immediately fire, but to take the time to AIM.
The burst of blue plasma took the offending ork's head clean off. It staggered for a moment, then fell to the ground. The orks turned back to look at Blu Toof, who lowered his gat with a satisfied expression.
"But Mork," he said, "Mork don't believe dat. What Mork believe is, it don't matter how much dakka yer foirin."
He grinned.
"It's how much dakka HITS"

Not a Magos. If a Magos went missing the AdMech would flip shit. He's just a Techpriest of middling importance before becoming the most sane and competent engineer and mechanic in the Strayt Shootaz

>>
>>53717705
I wouldn't put it past captured techpriests to claim a higher rank. Like, a sign that despite his sabotage, he's succumbing to the power that being the top techpriest in the Ork klan affords.

"Wot's dis fing?"
Asked Koonan suspiciously, as orks went he'd adapted reasonably well to the concept of 'Aim and Fire.' (ready was excepted from this series of events as orks were usually ready to inflict horrific violence on other sapient beings at any given moment of their existence.) But his adaptation to advanced technologies was slower. Give him some cloth and paint and he'd have a 'sneeky suit' ready to go. Tau stealth generators however were the wheelhouse of more Orks like Blu Toof or Magruum.
"It looks like you put me squig in a 'at."

The squig in question bobbed through the air drunkenly, it's little avian legs flailing about as it adapted to the control mechanisms that had been crudely wired into its anatomy. It seemed distressed at first but after it used its newfound power of flight to steal a slice of meat from a passing grot (much to both 'Bloomek' A'loh'ha and Koonan's amusement) it seemed to adjust well enough.

"It's a gift. Here just..." The rather manic tau fumbled with his belt and produced a small optical device. It bore a resemblance to some of the devices worn by pathfinders but those didn't have carefully modified squigforms worked into the machinery. Koonan dubiously waited as the tau stood on the very tip of her hooves and pressed the device to the Ork's face. Teeth clamped down on skin, little needle like appendages wormed into his body and all of a sudden Koonan could see what his marka squig saw, he could even command it just by thinking at it.

Though being an ork his first action was to merely bellow 'KUM 'ERE YOO GIT!' at the modified squig. It took a seat on his drone-hat. "Dis be good work. I'll make sure da boss gives you some tasty loot from da neckst baarge!"

Laughing all the way back to the firing range Koonan quickly forgot about his initial misgivings in the face of being able to properly krump gits.

"CUZ DA TRADA SEZ HE GOT ONE A DEES ON 'IS SHIP, SO DEY CAN GO FROO DA WARP SAFERER."

"SO WE GOTS MORE BOYZ WHEN WE GETS TO DA FIGHTAN PROPA!"
....................
Da Engineers slave journal:
"I am a munitions specialist. I am not a Gellar Field technician. Neither is Enginseer Wret, Nor the Tau bastard. No one on board this emperor forsaken ship knows how to use this thing, much less hook it up meaningfully. But we are terrified of the potential results of the orks trying to use it and failing. We agreed to use the normally life saving warp transit device to create a laser light show and just tell Blue Toof it was doing it's job." - Torn page found in a grots mouth.
>>
>>53718497
Oh, I remember those. They used to be called Tin Boyz, right?
>>
>>53718734
yeah I think I goofed and typed 'chrome' instead of 'tin'.
>>
Are we going to say the tame tyranids come from a Klan that is close, or are we also giving that to the strayt shootaz? I vote for the former.
>>
>>53718864
I think we turned that into a joke where Da Choppa has a genestealer infestation and the orks think of them as pets.
>>
>>53717277
so looking at your thread you have Tyranids who like to hunt down Waauughs. I'd have lead with that.

I like that they're basically biological blow torches who have a tendency to explode.

So maybe these 'nids are moving into a segmentum with a really big population of Orks and Blu Toof likes to call Da Boyz together and go on a Bug Hunt for Da Greatuh Waauugh.
>>
Tau forces try to cull a Nid strain from connecting with a larger force and becoming a sector wide menace. Tau focus on mostly large mechs so they don't die to biological attacks. Nids switch to massed attack to counter Tau. Orks begin to harrass tau and nids, get butts kicked. Rogue Trader helps orks learn to shoot, to defend his profits. Blue Toofs troops become strayt shootaz by looting tau gear and wanting to be better at aiming. Tau forces decimated between orks and nids, attempt to cause forces to fight each other. Genestealer infection begins, orks enjoy new pets. Nids develop explosive bioplasma to deal with armored orks and Tau suits. Blue Toofs often called in by other ork Klans to deal with BoomNids from afar instead of getting in close and exploding.

Just an idea for a timeline.
>>
>>53720265
sounds legit
>>
>>53720265
Hell, considering the gaunt focus, perhaps it's not a genestealer infestation but instead a tervigan or two somewhere deep in the bowels of the ship (possible one that makes hormagaunts instead of termigants)
The area it's in is someplace that the orks can't/don't go normally for whatever reason (some chamber sealed off, only small ducts leading to it, perhaps?), and it can't get out itself, so it sends its spawn out to kill shit/get food.
In practice it just means it's a gaunt/gant infestation instead of a genestealer one.
>>
>>53720491
hormagaunts would make a good source of blades and armor...and maybe fuel for burnas if they're the burny kind. Maybe they sealed it off intentionally so the kommandos have something to do in their off time.

>>53720491

I feel like Tyranids dilutes the Tau aspect
>>
>>53720725
At the same time, it's important that we acknowledge the roll we made that we hunt 'nids. I don't know if this is the best way to go about it, but tyranids should be an important part of our backstory.
>>
>>53718662
>The Gellar field doesn't even have to work thanks to the Ork's own psychic bubble being fortified by their confidence in it.
>>
The Choppa a) needs a better name b) needs to be bigger c) not be the capitol ship
>>
>>53723997
>>
>>53723997
What if the Choppa is Blu Toof's personal transport? Besides his hammerhead
>>
>>53725304
I always figured it was his personal ship
>>
I don't think we actually rolled for the size of our warband, so we could have multiple looted Tau Cruisers or other Ships. Da Choopa could be Blu Toof's but it could also be one of the multiple ships the clan owns. Maybe a shootier ship could be better? Blu Toof does love his shootas after all.

I did some work but I feel like the biggest problems are the shoulder pad, viewfinder, and gun from a profile standpoint, there is only so much you can do with them.

This is a critique, not an attack, so bear with me on this.

The head, you seem to have an aversion to making orks as ugly as they need to be. Orks are ugly and brutal. Flatten the nose, show the nostrils a bit. Add some scars to your rank and file boys. They get slapped around a lot in and out of combat.

Your gear is weedy. Its ok to be clean, but yours is polished, perfect. No dents, no dings. Orks bang around, zero finesse. Shits gonna have scratches and pits in it. Especially looted gear because you they weren't overly careful in the first place.

Defilement- Orks rebrand things that are theirs, any damage gets plated over or replaced with an ork approximation. Glyphs, whatever. Items are often put to work in roles that were never intended.

Lore-Your boys probably have ample supply of tau gear, I would avoid shootas of the bullet variety. Maybe take two tau rifles and tape them together. Literally depict tape, or chains, or bolts. Something crude. then break one of them, and make that have a crude fix.

As for that viewfinder, if the lore is cyborks, I would ditch the tiny eyes and just jam that sucker into the upper right quadrent of the ork's skull. As mork intended.

Orks are brutal, and orks are a bit insane. Its not an aspect everyone likes, but its part of what they are. If you tack a bit on them, its not gonna be cleanly done.
>>
>>53728509
Could add a shit ton of orky scopes and iron sights to the gun.
>>
>>53728720
thats one route too, big thing is, you keep the boys looking rank and file and try to address the lore.

seems like mosta the orks are gonna be cyborks to some degree with shattered bits of tau gear here and there.

A stickbomb could be depicted as a combi rockit launcher, but if the faction is a pure fluff one, just go nuts.
>>

>>
>>53728509
Yea, what this guy said. The boyz need to look orkier.
>>
>>53716563
What's Blu Toof's bodyguard/honorguard look like?

I feel like they should be obnoxius "asian warrior" stereotypes. A group of 20 or so nobs or big boys who watched some very old human holovids of samuraii-esque warriors and now think they are the bee knees. (this partially is fitting with the tau theme, cause of the many asian inspirations of the tau). They should call themselves the
Slash-O-Nara, have the Dokta Krush surgically modify there eyelids to look "asian" and they speak in Orky haikus.

There weaponry should be proper mental since ya know orks in general and the fact that they use tons of looted tau stuff. Ok they use giant bows except their "arrows" are either tau missile pods, or air burst fragmentation ammo. However since the they don't have function air burst fragmentation launchers or the accompanying AI the draw of the bow is what primes and times each air burst fragmentation round, so a short draw would give it a 4-5 second timer before detonation while a full draw would give it a 10-12 second timer on the round.
>>
>>53729530
its funny, but takes the trope so far that it is painful and looses the fact that they are pirates first and foremost.
>>
>>53729647
Fair enough, but I still think Blu Toof still needs a body guard/honor guard.

Equally what is the close combat equipment and specialities of the boys look like. I get that ranged warfare is their speciality, but when going up against and after nids you always need some form of good cqc cause those bugs always manage to get a few right up into combat.

Friendly reminder that the last thread had a few very well written lore posts that already have been contradicted by a few random suggestions. Like blootoofs ship date Choppa. It's his ship not a personal transport. There was a great story about him dropping the chopping bit on a heritic instaltion from orbit.

Also I like the idea about genestealer infestation and hunting nids. But we can't go all in on tau, nids, a rouge trader, other orks, and chaos rivals without getting diluted.
Otherwise this idea is golden

I had an idea in the last thread, that the orks are all disciplined and shooty up until something gets through their firing line into melee, at which point the line falls apart, their natural instincts kick in, and they pull out their choppas and it turns into a brawl.
Once whatever they're fighting is dead, it takes a Nob coming in and knocking them around before they can start being a firing line again.
>>
>>53729778
nothin' like that. Just keep it styalistic. Probably some choppa style machettes, or bayonets. Some mismatch boys here and there with a chainsword because every now and then ya krump a beakie.
>>
I have an idea for the Nobz. Maybe they should wield giant choppas made from Tyranid claws and bones and Tau scraps. The most powerful and veteran Nobz also wear trophies picked up from Tyranids (skulls, necklaces from fangs, etc.). Armour should also be an orkified mishmash of looted Tau armour held together with bolts, nails and other junk.
>>
>>53730455

An Ork without a choppa isn't an ork.
>>
Trying to think of why we hunt nids, beyond the desire for a good fight of course. I'm thinking it's both because we learned to shoot them from afar, and revenge. Since I think we rolled that we had looted tau suits, then lost them, it could be that the nids are what destroyed them all. (and had nothing to do with our ability to pilot them, of course.)

This would also lend in to our meganobs or high ranking boyz wearing nid stuff as armor in addition to the tau gear, because they're showing off how many nids they killed.

I don't think the standard Shoota Boy has a lot of Tau gear, just odds and ends, so I think it'd be better to keep the bullet gun. A bit higher up, the Nobs and Lootas and stuff have good gear, but Boyz I think should only have a few scraps for them to work with.

what passes for storm boys surf on the larger looted tau drones. There's only a handful of looted tau vehicles but they hover, they're pretty fast and they're basically battle wagons but with mixed ork and tau tech.

All their Trakks and Trukks are hover vehicles and have firing ports so they're pull up along somebody, pop open the ports and unload on 'em.
>>
>>53734926
>>53735075
What if they surf on drones and have them strapped to their backs too, like jetpacks
>>

We "hunt" Nids because they've infested our fucking ships

>>53734123
I would say we lost Megabazterd and a few others in a huge conflict with the Legion. And we didn't necessarily lose then, as they where destroyed and put together with duct tape and chewed gum. So our Krisiz Suitz are more ramshackle than usual.

>>53734206
This. We loot Tau. The Tyranids are just extra fluff, not front and center.

>>53734708
Read above and the last thread. Destroyed is not a permanent condition, especially in the presence of bored Meks. One of our greatest weapons is a disgusting hybrid of an Imperial Knight, Supremacy Armour, and a Stompa.

>>53734926
One of our drawbacks is that we don't have a lot of Oddboys. The ones we do have are singular characters, like Magrumm Blakkrokka and his small cadre of Blakk Fangz, or Mad Dokta Kut Krush our resident Big Mek/Painboy. Of course we have small groups of Oddboys to accompany and support their bosses. Maybe you can have a small speed kilt.

Besides that all of our boyz are flashgitz and Shootaz and looted vehicles.

Pretty sure we decided on a split between competent but barely cooperative sane folk lead by Enginseer Wret and Enthusastic but nuts workers lead by A'Loh'ha as the Strait Shootaz labor force.
>>
>>53742746
Yeah. A'loh'ha represents the slave group that's been Stockholmed into embracing the Waaagh, and gotten pretty crazy from it, and Wret represents the group that hates the Waaagh and are trying to sabotage them, but are forced to do their jobs and are slowly succumbing too.

Kamikazeez, of the Strait Shootas, in almost a rebellious reaction to the shooty nature of the Klan, abandon the uniforms, discipline, and respect for authority that stormboyz are usually known for. They reject most Tau tech and cyborgization, wear nothing but garishly painted shorts, and adorn themselves with wild, matted squiglocks.
The one concession to Tau loot is their universal embracing of Tau drones as transportation. Once properly modified, the drones can literally be surfed into battle, or attached to an ork's back in more of a traditional jumppack fashion. Skilled Kamikazeez can switch between the two setups in midair, and a sport of tricks performed with the drone has sprung up. In true ork fashion, a failed trick resulting in the ork smashing to the ground is celebrated even more wildly than a skilled success.
They display all of the love for chaos and disrespect seen in orks from a standard klan, in contrast to the discipline and focus seen in the Strait Shootas. They speak in a bizarre dialect, almost unintelligible even to other Orks. It seems that under the stress of being a choppy group in such a bizarre klan as the Shootas, the qualities of Stormboyz have reversed.

Everything else was tentative, and we can ditch it if people think it's too silly.

There's one deff dread in the warband named Masher Magu. Because he wants to honor Mork and be very accurate the faceplate of the Deff Dread has an excessive number of scopes, and magnifying glasses all over it. On the upside it lets Masher Magu target and fire upon (with not horrible accuracy) enemies that are out of range or even eyesight for most boys. The down sides are that it means Masher Magu is functionally blind to anything within 5 meters of himself.

While a blind, Deff Dread is bad enough, the mounted Heavy Rail Rifles make him a real pain in enclosed spaces.

However, since Masher Magu is effectively blind in close combat, he has addressed this flaw with the help of the Dokta Krush who has outfitted the Deff Dread with a hula hoop of chain-choppas. It give Masher Magu a solid spot of defence in cqc, but makes him very dangerous to any Shootaz who happen to be too close.

>>
>>53754403
I mean, I've been pushing the idea of a Klan as shooty and Mork-leaned as the Shootas making the Stormboyz, who are usually the disciplined ones, into a crazy rebellious mood, since they're choppy and Gorky and would be the most repressed by the Klan. I think that's an interesting idea.
And I think them being rebellious in like a juvenile, 'stick it to the man' way is funny.
The surfer thing came out of the fact that they surf the drones, and that's a reasonable connection to make. I'm on the fence about the shorts, I definitely regret making the slang and tricks a thing, but we can take those out, and I think it'll still be Orky enough to match the tone.
I think we can make the 'surfer' joke without it being their entire thing.

In any case, we've got some Vietcong sniper dudes, and if Apocalypse Now taught us anything, it's that surfing was an integral part of the Vietnam War.

>>

Well so I had an idea.

Sure we act professional and all, but with a focus on long range firepower and hunting xenos for their gubbins, why not have a Hunter aesthetic be prominent in the Klan.

Or have Hunta Boyz, that are basically Ork Kraven the Hunter if you don't want it to be klan wide
>>
So how big is the klan? Do they all fit on Blu Toof's ship and number in a few thousand or are there 10,000s of them?
>>
>>53760980
we never did roll for that, we could have a fleet of a bunch of ships. I'd say no more than six though.
>>
>>53761055
I'd imagine, it shouldn't be too large given their proclivity for tau tech and pirate lifestyle.
>>
>>53761138
Otherwise if it's too large and not enough tau bits to go around I imagine there'd be tremendous intra klan competition for tau tech.

I imagine hopeful youths and boys would add longer and longer barrels to their sluggas and shootas in the hopes of being able to fire accurately enough to earn the right to carry a proper refurbished tau gun.
>>
>>53754610
>>53758825
Attempting to make some peace here so we can move on with the fluff. This is clearly a mercenary clan of orks. They are also of the honorable sort. Despite all that, they have some silly moments and traits, as well as some truely horrific things like the cybork doctors, brains pulled out to do things, etc. That mix is pretty good.

For some reason seeing this thread I cant help but think of a Freebootaz band calling themselves "Da Unkillablez" I saw on a /yourdudes/ thread a month ago or so.

Basically it had 2 Warbosses, a Freeboota-to-the-core git named Ol' Smasha and, quote, "the most arrogant sonuva grot in da galaxy", a MegaArmored ex-Goff who calls himself Boss Waaghnage, and floated around the galaxy in a hulk that's name translated to 'The Unlucky Krooza' or something like that.

The krew's pride-n'-joy was a Looted Basilisk commanded by an Ork named 'Kaptin Orkinhama' or something. The Kaptin hates Waaghnage and has a tendency to "accidentally" blast the Warboss out of his own Trukk every so often in the middle of a fight.

I think the anon who made them said Da Unkillablez would be a major threat to the Imperium/Tau Empire if they weren't such goddamn team-killing fucktards.

It was amusing.

Don't mind me, I'm just sitting here watching the Strayt shootaz fluff forming with some fungus beer and squigars...

>>53766498
I don't know how I feel about introducing yet another group of boyz into the mix.
Could we possibly just turn the Blakk Fangz into these Huntaboyz? After all, the Fangz were Magrumm Blakkrokka's old klan, which got pretty much entirely wiped out. We could say that these Huntaboyz are Strait Shootas that follow Magrumm, and he tolerates them because they can occasionally help out.
They'd be shootier than most kommandos, but would still fill the kommando niche for the Strait Shootas.

Maybe they have some kind of Gears of War Lancer-type shoota that uses a chainsaw bayonet, so they can be shooty and still reasonably choppy.
>>

Part of the reason for the space hulk is to create some breathing room for all these ideas, transforming Bluetoof's petty Freeboota klan into something dead proppa.

A legend.

A waaagh unlike the galaxy has seen, not bent on conquest, but the loot. Not on endless planetfall, but endless pillaging. Not a threat, but The biggest nuisance and pain in the ass the Tau have ever known!

With all the imperial worlds that defect to the Tau or need reminding from time to time, and there being only so many space marines, Orks attacking will often remind potential traitors that the Tau cannot save them. Orks move in, krump the Tau, Imperials start to land, and orks simply leave. Locals think the orks are fleeing the imperials. Bluetoof counts his chests of teef.

Just some ideas for the Hulk. Ill probably have the tables up in like...2-4 hours. Real life, family, grocery shopping. all that good shit.

Inquistorial Report on warbosse 'Blu Toof'

Classified those without Primum Electi Dei clearance will be purged if found reading this.

I have journeyed across half the Imperium. I have fought Eldar, Tau, Necrons, and stranger things besides. Orks never fail to surprise me however. Many of my colleagues think of them as brutish oafs incapable of innovation or intellectual thought.

Frankly, they're not wrong most of the time.

The problem with rare events however, is that they happen.

I must report that my sources indicate Freeboota Blu Toof is to be reclassified from 'Klan Leader' to 'Warboss.' This is not an action I undertake lightly. However I must lay out some caveats.

Blue Toof is not your typical warboss and his WAAUUGH presents a great opportunity for us. Recently the Tau Empire has made a major push into the Sapphyrus Furtivus Segmentum. Quite frankly the Administratum simply can't spare the resources to deal with the threat so the plan was to let the Tau expand and later return in force to crush them.

Blu Toof's obsession with Loot and Tau technology in particular however presents opportunities for us. His WAAUUGH is not one of conquest; its one of theft. To Rogue Trader Froogalos's credit he has managed to instill a mild scorn for imperial technology in Blue Toof, outside of converting stubbers, PDFs, and the odd archeotech device the Greenskin is entirely obsessed with looting and converting Tau technology as well as taking their logistical personnel as slaves.

To date he has rampaged across three systems and then simply left after taking anything he deems valuable. He has claimed a Spacehulk, primarily Microline in composition but with significant deposits of adamantine. Reportedly they have a fleet of around 6 to 12 ships varying from looted Tau vessels to Orkish barges, and of course the spacehulk, which in true orkish faction is slowly being transformed into a Battleship of significant power.
>>
>>53768313
Perhaps we should feel insulted but the Greenskin has deemed the Imperium an unworthy foe for the moment. When our forces arrive to fight the orkish horde and take back the world claimed by the Tau the orks pack up and leave.

Yes they leave. It's not a retreat, its avoiding a nuisance that will delay their rampant looting of Tau colonial forces.

The local imperial forces are facing issues, the hard point of the segmentum is Ferronoctum Primarii, a mechanicus Forgeworld that is just barely holding out against Tau forces. Thankfully the ravaging of Shas'O Phi'phi'pho's supply lines has forced him to withdraw from true attempts to conquer the world but several sterilization torpedoes have gotten through, and as always the Tau have begun sterilization campaigns on our hiveworlds so breeding campaigns and repopulation measures will need to be enacted.

In the mean time I cannot stress this enough; we need a battle force here. One for occupations not fights. Get some PDF, or Guard washouts. They need to be able to bully civilians and put down feral orks, so we can skimp on their quality of training and gear. In fact the less martial they are the better as high quality troops with excellent gear risk acquiring Blu Toof's interest.

Make no mistake. The Freeboota warboss wants LOOT. If its valuable he will likely take a shot at it. Once there are no more Tau in the area I give 50/50 odds that he either moves into the deeper Tau Empire or goes for the Forgeworld.

Signed Inquisitor Blackstone.

Reports of a battle between a chaos army and suspected Strayt Shootaz Ork Klan. Note that this account has been pieced together from the remains of a recovered damaged dataslate of one of the cultists.

> We had swept across this world like a divine storm. Within weeks we had established a stronghold in eastern canyons giving us control of the vast promethium refineries.

> The Greenskins were within orbit before we had realized. The ships had left for the warp to deliver the our first cargo of promethium, that which had already been extracted by the people of this world.

> They made a beeline for us, or well at least for the motorpool. Due to the location we chose for our stronghold, almost all of the transports, tanks, and vehicles were 3 klicks north of us, just out of all of the ravines, and canyons near the road and the rail for easy transport.

>The garrison at the motorpool went dark shortly after the orks landed. We made an immediate effort to get there and protect the vehicles from the greenfucks. After a run we finally got near the rear of the compound. as we approached the vehicles blue lights and hot lead began cutting the men down. Sebislada & I dove into one of the ratholes that ran underneath the vehicles for servicing. we emerged deeper in the field of armor. As we climbed out he pointed out a odd warbling sound to me. Hovering a few meters away was a large ork standing on a tau drone. He was in the process of siphoning out promethium from one of technicals. Before we could bring our guns to bear the green shit held a torch up to his maw and spat the low quality promethium at us. I avoided most of it, but the stuff covered Sebislada. The burning promethium stuck to him. He died, painfully. By the time I had got my bearings the green beast was zooming down the way.
>>
>>53769003
>As more men began to reinforce us from the hold, our situation became more apparent. Men were quickly reporting in, through the chatter and whines of gun fire that much of the light vehicles were drained of promethium. A few heavy tanks had some missing, but it seems the design, and armor retarded the green thievery of our precious oily fluids. Most orks only managed to cut off the outer armor over the fuel tanks.

> We continued to establish a defensive line at the end of the motor pool. Some of the pedal rats began to get into the closest heavies by our edge of the motor pool. With as much speed as the warp allowed they got the light tanks and armored transports running and began to drive into a line on our edge of the motorpool, side armor out, at least giving our men a now very solid fortified line to fight from. All vehicles that had weapons, or turrets turned them toward the firing tide, and began sending our regards to the green fucks.

> This was a mistake.

> The Greenies had heavy weaponry. The makeshift wall or armor began to detonate. After the explosion, did we hear louder, high pitched whines. They were targeting the exposed fuel tanks and even when they missed, which they did plenty of, some of there munitions would punch right through and pulp a mans head.

> With the screams of our own men surrounding us, a disordered retreat began. As most of the men ran like cowards, I did things by the book, firing as I went, trying to rouse and rally the men, get them into coherent form.

> I witnessed one of our Ogryns, Porg I think, make a mad charge as some of the advancing greens. He hefted up a thick sheet of metal blown off of a vehicle and ran behind straight towards the fungifucks. There weaponery easily punched through the metal, but the cover meant not all of the shots hit him. He was still in fighting shape when the charge met them. He ripped them apart. I saw him take down 8 in cqc, until a salvo of blue streaks erased his upper half.

>Of the 250 men who had converged on the motorpool, perhaps 100 of them were running back to the hold. The efforts to secure the motorpool, while ineffective, ensured enough time for some of the heavy weapon teams to set up on the canyon tops to fire into any pursuers. Even as we ran, we heard the the whines of half-working drones. There were also a number of what appeared to be rockets (later examined and revealed to be baby greens? with wings and rockets strapped to their back with yellow plates on their heads) streaking towards our base.

>As I arrived at the blast doors at the facility the greentide was gaining ground. Emerging from the dark, announced by shattering stone walls and screams of loyal men, a series of mechanical monstrosities began to fire upon the open blast door and the surrounding walls.

> Without a moment't hestation the Death Caller sealed the blast doors trapping dozens of our brothers out there. I had knew what had to be done in this case and I ran to the secondary door controls and slammed it on. With a blaring klaxon the second adjacent set of blast doors open. Outside of the 1/2 meter of plassteel was a choir of screams and pounding, suddenly hastened by the hunting cries of the chaos spawn.

So I guess some parts of the hulk need to have stable oxygen/environment for all of the non orks slaves to work in. Maybe all the slaves are stuck in only one section of the hulk, or is the most of the thing set up with proper conditions.
>>
Archive description?
>>
>>53779178
Orks tend to need to breath anyway. Seeing as how a good portion of it is Orky there's probably a significant Rokk component, easy to store the slaves there.

Also I imagine Dokta Krush oversaw looting weapons systems from the ships in the hulk and redistributing it around the hull of the 'Ship'

So there might be a slight chance of interacting with Da Scraplootas, if they're based in the next sector or two over.

I would suggest, if this ever gets refined for later purposes, that the size roll comes first and determines how much crap a hulk is made out of (still like 3 or 4 rolls at least for 'weedy' of course, and going up from there)

What about this: Remember how we rolled that we are friends of other klans?

Officer Adjutant to Commander Harkes
Reconquest Report for Archival
Current Status: Resumed.

It is remarkable to think that this world was infested with xenos and traitors to the emperor not two years ago to this day. The Rogue Trader Froogalos has made good on his promise to deliver the pre-fabricated weather shelters to our resettlement forces, making surviving the rainy season drastically easier than initially predicted. The trade for mining rights to the southern canyons was well worth the price in time and mens lives alone. Still, we expected so much more of a fight it almost seems like our lasguns and leman russ tanks will more likely rust in the rain than be brought to a proper battlefield.

The Tau presence on this planet has been almost entirely wiped out, even the adepta sororitas cleansing squad said it was rare to find an artefact of the xenos technology and only posters and propaganda needed to be purged. To think of how opportunistic it is that an ork fleet would ransack the planet and just leave, it almost seems like they moved in accordance with the emperor’s will. I had brought this up to the commander, he laughed and remarked that knowing if that was true was beyond both our pay grades.
>>
>>53790799
The feral ork attacks were frequent at first, but it did not take long for our forces to rout and remove the bulk of the infestation. The greenskins remnants focused so heavily on throwing spears and rocks, that all just bounced off the hull of the tanks. The hardest job was repainting them. Little else but time and the expected resupply shipments is needed to complete reconquest and we may yet return to being a sustainable fortification shortly before 10 years time.

Addendum 1 +57 days: Supply ships have not yet arrived, the rains will come soon and make retrieving food and medicine from orbit difficult. May the warp be calm for their eventual arrival.

Addendum 2 +109 days: We are well beyond predicted warp storm fluctuation for our first supply shipment and dangerously close to the second. Rain water alone cannot sustain us.

Addendum 3 +217 days: To witness your only hope of survival arrive from warp above the planet, only to be shattered to pieces by a battleship of chaos following it through and piercing the ship port to starboard. My heart sinks wondering if their heretical forces will deem us worthy of sacrifice and make landfall.
>>
>>53790685
well its implied a lot of Klans got krumped while the Strait Shootaz were forming so same difference right?
>>
>>53790816
Addendum 4 +219 days: Chaos forces made landfall today. Commander Harkes is dead. The few remaining sororitas have taken up command of resettlement forces. We received an astropath communication from the Rogue Trader, obviously scrambling to discover the plight of his mining operation. To waste our time and limited astropath power answering his questions is a contract stipulation I wish we could ignore. His lack of questions about the enemy was stranger still, asking only a single question about the color of their armor. Truely his care for the lives of his fellow man mean nothing compared to his profits. We have locked ourselves inside the rain shelters and await either our rescue or our fate. May the God-emperor watch over us.

Addendum 5 +244 days: The orks came.

Addendum 6 +246 days: The orks went.
>>
>>53718662
Why would an ork NOT want to fight? Are you an idiot? Are you a newfag?
>>
>>53790685
I came up with the Blakk Fangz and a lot of Chimera Fluff.

A good compromise would be they lost a lot of Boyz fighting the spikey boys and they didn't have the Orkpower to take the hulk and got swallowed by the Strayt Shootaz.

Which suits Magrumm just fine because he can strike back at the Chimeras from a position of strength

naming the hulk, describing its inner environs, how much of a fleet we have, what the sector(s) are like, who's in charge of the local Tau...
>>
>>53793460
Oh hey, one of the few cool nametags

Neat
>>
Considering the parts we rolled for the hulk, I imagine that despite it's small size (for a hulk) it's got a significant amount of fire power, but it's not so foolish as to risk losing it in close quarters broadsides. Following Klan tradition it prefers to snipe from longer ranges. Using Da Choppa, and whatever other fleet craft they have, to keep enemies at a distance.

The centerpiece of the hulk is an imperial cruiser, one of Bluetoofs earliest victories was against it in his flagship. Splitting the vehicle in half from engine to ram with the slicing blade. The orks mounted each half of the vehicle to the front of the hulk. Giving it a massive 8 macro cannon frontal armament, arranged in 2 rows of 4. The ork parts make up a majority of the mass of the hulk, as well as a number of additional fire ports. The Space marine light cruiser makes up the main engine block on the ship, sticking in contrast to much of the mass of the ship.

The most recent bits added however, are the Tau ones. Two near identical ships that are connected to the mass on the top and bottom, their plasma batteries adding even more fire power to the front guns of the behemoth, and their boosters giving it an uncommon agility for a craft so large. Viewed from the front, the hulk almost appears like a Dakka sandwich, with tau bread, imperial meat, and ork relish all around.

There's an idea for you, unless someone has a cooler one.

Scraplootas are located in the Karib sector (which is near the Oestalan sector), which is surrounded on all sides by warp storms.

Only the 1st Membranes can get in and out since they have an excessive amount of tinfoil.

Last I saw, some years ago, the Scraploots were looking to pick another fight with the 1st Membranes to get their hands on that... but you know how OCs go in and out of favor, so that plot didn't reach fruition before the writefags moved on.

Bluetoof won the imperial battlecruiser and all its dakka as fairly as any ork can win a bet; by cutting his opponent in half and explosively decompressing its crew into space. He felt good. Real good, real sneaky, and real shooty with that last one. Yeah. Life was good at this moment. What he didnt realize was the mortally wounded imperial cruiser had already started to generate a rip into the warp, pulling it's own wreckage, and bluetoof along for good measure.

A ride through the warp is as it always was; green, loud, and violent. Upon ejection from the immaterium, the orkish captain noticed his prize was tangled into a mass of other ships...a very small mass indeed, but all the same. A gift from gork, or perhaps mork. He was tempted to throw a few teef into space as an offering but thought better of that. A fool and his teef are soon krumped, and everyone knows ya dont get rich gettin krumped.

>Last time on /tg/ a bunch of anons rolled up an ork klan.
>klan
Terminology tip: Klanz tend to refer to the big 6 that seem to be genetically inserted into orks (as feralz without contact still seem to have klan links). It'd be like saying legion when you mean chapter. Tribe, warband, waaaagh! etc. are more commonly used, but this sounds like a krew since they're lead by a kaptin and kick about on a krooza. They're probably Freebootaz of some stripe, since they work with non-orks, have decidedly unproppa attitudes and hang out with genelootaz.

>>
>>53797131
I mean, I think the main reason we've been using klan is because the generator specifically is called the "Ork Klan Creation Table"
I assumed that meant that our group was pretty large to start with, but looking at it now there's a "Warband Size" so I think it's the error of the person who made the generator.
>>
>>53794935
As for a name, one idea is the 'Lil' Nippa' - referring to both it's relatively small size and the sizeable 'nip' it gives from the ridiculous amount of dakka stuck on the front.

>The warp beasts have ceased their cries of hunger. It is my beast guest that they all lay dead. All of the men have gathered their weapons and have set up positions across the windows, roofs and smoke stacks of the compound. Cimmb's estimate of our fighting power is somewhere near 2500.

>6 of the transports took off towards the secondary refinery station. The second station holds no means of surviving an attack, however it is with the designs that these dumb green fucks don't know where we are going. So long as we can keep second station operational, there's a hope that the Snaketails will bring brilliant retribution against these cretins when they return in system.

> 5 more transports took off, of which 2 were shot down and a third was destroyed in the crashing of the second one.

> They have long since breached the blast doors and have swarmed into the compound. The Pumping wing and the Blood home have been taken. Our resistance in Processing had been quite effective, until Orks started flying in on drones through the top windows. While no more than a dozen, the confusion and panic it caused our tight hold and killzones on the ground floor to dissolve.

> I'm making a go for the LeadFly. One of the smokestacks was toppled by incoming fire and destroyed the remaining two air transports. Tamic joined up with me. Him and his scalpers were fighting tooth and nail. Most of his boys were splatters of gore, but as per his account they were dropping scores of greenies and green-servitor-robot type creations.

>As we reached the building where the LeadFly was housed we came across a small horde of boys. They seemed to obsess over accuracy. I witnessed one green holding a fancy long rifle get his bits blown to bits. His comrades immediately began fighting over the corpse to get the rifle. Tamic and I hit them with a pox bomb before Tamic started ripping them up.

>The LeadFly is taking off, but we are already under a rain of death.

well anons. Seems we have characters. We have a hulk. we have a story. Without further writing and art, the strayt shootaz begin to fade into the background noise of /tg/ oc.

In da heart of Toof Chasa lies Blu Toof's vault, it serves as a combination command room and repository for his loot. Great troughs of teeth lie to either side of the entrance and flank visitors as they approach Da Kaptan's throne. Holo images,.vox horns, and monitors give the vault krew all the information they need to keep the ship running. Along with his vast collection of teef the ork keeps a collection of weapons and "Joos" his favored Juicy Squig. Many a boy has lost his hand trying to take that prize for himself.

Joos is roughly the size of an imperial Grox and grows ever larger, slowly accumulating mass and flavor, interestingly enough the creature's hide is covered in scars and it is tended to by gretchin experienced with claiming and caring for squigs. Supposedly one of the pet projects he's forced onto Tau and Human slaves is cloning pieces of Joos "So's I nevah haff to go witout tasting dat squiggly meat."

So far success has been partial at best, they have managed to make what is effectively a meat brewery but "Da taste be off" at the very least it serves as an excellent way to keep da boys fed on 'proppa grub' during long journeys through the void.

Jegga, one of the more senior grots in the Shootaz (he had survived nearly a whole year - the other grots looked to him with awe) led the small bunch of snotlings towards the vault.

"An 'ere," said Jegga, "we 'ave da most impor'ant room in da ship. Dis," - he paused for dramatic effect - "iz da Kaptains vault." There was an excited gasp among the audience as the looked up at the grand door, and the piles upon piles of teef that flanked it. It was more money than any of them had ever seen before, and their tiny minds raced with the possibility: they could buy a really big mushroom with all of that, and maybe even a longer squig-poker.

Jegga went on, spinning his practised yarn about the Kaptain and the vast mountains of plunder that lay within. His tone darkened as he told of "da Big Squig", a monstrous creature that guarded the Kaptain's stash. "His teef are as big as yoo!" he whispered, pointing at one in the crowd who squeaked and cowered behind his peers.

The leading grot was concluding his moral lesson when his voice stopped short. Slowly, they turned to see what had caught Jegga's attention. A snotling, who had snuck away from the main group, was in the process of attempting to extract a toof the size of his leg from one of the towering piles. Oblivious to the sudden attention, he finally tugged the toof free.

Almost imperceptibly at first, the pile started sliding. Jegga, who hadn't got to his ripe old age by being stupid, was already running as fast as he could down the corridor, with some of the brighter snotlings tottering after him as the pile suddenly lurched forward, sending a cascade of gleaming white clattering down onto the deck. The foolish thief, having finished his victory caper, looked up just in time to see the tide of wealth rushing towards him.

Jegga peeked out from behind his fingers at the heap that rested where the snotling had once stood. "And dat," he said to the survivors, "is why yoo don't steal from da Kaptain."

Wealth...it comes, and it goes. Not unlike the gravitational thrum of the ships drive. Not so for Captain...excuse me, WarBoss, BlueToof. Teef naturally decay over time, this is the orky way. However for BlueToof, Greed is even Orkier to him....and he'll be "keepin' all da teef thank ya much."

to other orks it seems implausible, such wealth. The truth is much simpler, somewhere near his captain's quarters are the remains of a grand winery. Likely an addition to this part of the hulk by an eccentric captain fancying himself a rogue trader. No expense was spared, including a stasis field. After having finished off the stash of "dat' hoomie juice" he quickly deduced it would be a fine place to store his teef. And so he did. A legend to his men, so they stay, as nice as they were then, so they are this day.

tl/dr: Scrooge McOrk Toof Vault. Swimmin in da teef boyz.

Blu Toof has thrown several 'umies into his Toof Vault to show off his wealth, and cannot understand why they don't find it enjoyable.
