Hello guys. I'm new to this whole vampire thing and I'd like some advice from you wih my current situation.

So before I got turned to this, I was a doomsday prepper. Had a proper bunker prepared for Zombie-Apocalypse/Government collapse/Nuclear war with a lot of guns in stockpile.

Now this one day I was out getting some supplies for my bunker, bunch of punk rocker looking dudes told me that I was being conscripted and hit me across the head with a shovel and dumped me to a shallow grave.
After I made my way out, I ran straight to my shelter and set up the landmines and barbed wire as well as loaded Incendiaries for my 20mm Anti-Tank rifle. (Not sure if Incendiary or HE is better against vampires Vampires.)
I think I turned my Dogs into some sort of vampiric servants and they're guarding the perimeter and providing me with Blood.

Something triggered one of the Landmines when I wasn't looking, but I didn't see a corpse. There's also been bunch of these creepy guys stalking my bunker from a distance few nights in row. They don't show up on Thermals nor on my hidden cameras.

I'm 99% sure this guy is undead as well. Should I shoot him just in case? He doesn't seem to be a threat for now.

I am the Tremere Regent from the previous thread; I would strongly advise against that course of action. Due to internal problems, a number of our chantries have taken to performing experiments most foul on our fellow Kindred. They seem to have a particular preference for those of clan Toreador, but I would not take the risk until the matter is resolved. Final death would be preferable to some of the acts I've witnessed this night.

To my Toreador and Nosferatu colleagues; I have been deposed from my position in Edinburgh and the chantry there has fallen to the corruption. It seems that the mages spreading this madness believed that it would be easier to sway the local Tremere to their cause via my subordinates rather than myself; upon returning to the chantry I found them manhandling one of the local Toreador into the laboratory, through the doors of which I could glimpse sorcery of a most profane nature. When I challenged them their immediate response was to attack, and to my chagrin it appears I taught them all too well. Thus, I am currently in hiding in one of my boltholes; I have attempted to solicit support from my superiors, but to no avail; I fear the... other problem may be occupying all their resources.

With all this in mind, I must call upon you to provide the assistance offered when we last spoke; I had hoped to have more information before making a move, but my hand has been forced. This blight is spreading beyond the Americas, and we cannot allow it to continue.

Depends on the gun in question.

A large caliber revolver like that would do nicely if fired at the head or torso of a vampire however. Not as good as a larger one called a shotgun, which is the preferred type of "longarm" gun for most kindred expecting to fight other supernatural beings.

Ideally, however, for things like Werewolves you want bullets or "pellets" [a type of ammunition used specifically for shotfuns] made of silver. But it's become popular, particularly among the Toreador and younger Ventrue, to use what's called an "Elephant Gun", a very large and powerful gun used by kine to hunt elephants, as the name suggests.

Due to their reputation, a well off person having a few kept on display is not uncommon, and we can use one with a single hand, unlike kine who must be prone and braced due to their size and power. Further, guns kept on display are not expected to be kept in working order. So they make a good weapon for defending a haven.

A few of the older Toreador of a more martial bent have taken to attaching what's called a "Bayonet", a blade that turns a longarm into a make-shift spear. It's seen some success against Werewolves in the past nights.

So Elysium is Switzerland for Kindred. Granted, if you have been ostracized by the Camarilla then it’s not like they have to abide by it, but most will out of reflex & tradition. Anarchs, particularly Anarch "Barons" are generally given an odd sort of respect.

On one hand, they aren't under our protection, strictly as such. And they're often of a lower Generation than a Prince such as myself.

But in general they are also *capable*, and highly adept at whatever they have put their hands to. As such...we treat them much as a King of an old nation might treat a visiting barbarian warlord. It's a different situation to anything else we deal with, so it's best to treat them as an equal and work from there.

The majority think them foolish, and rankle at the lack of control over them...but personally I find it keeps me sharp to deal with the Baron that controls the territory near my own holdings. And I can often get good advice on the more modern age. Helpful considering when I went to sleep we'd just finished the Crusades.

Hey guys, it's that unlucky Brujah again. Not dead yet. My ghoul just returned from his scouting trip. He actually managed "kill" one of those hunters which surprises me. He followed this guy with a cross necklace and similar baggy coat like rest of hunters in downtown to a rundown alley, but the guy realized that and a firefight ensued. My ghoul luckily proved to be better shot than him and got his leg, so good thing his guns aren't just for the show. Strange thing is that after falling down the hunter didn't try to fight anymore. Instead he muttered something about Brothers Leopold or maybe Brotherhood of Leopold and bit some kind of capsule that instantly killed him. He hid the body in nearby sewers. Sadly there was no documents on him aside the obvious that is the bible. Markings on his guns have cross and also read Leopold. From googling around I found there is some sort of small catholic monastery and church outside the city called Abbey of Lazarus that seems to be also associated with name Brothers Leopold, but I can't find much else. I mean these guys are some sort secret society, so figures they try cover their tracks. Anyway maybe that location is their base? Would seem fitting considering it's pretty near the city.

Also, my ghoul met some crazy Malkavian(?) near the alley that said something about lions of the pope? My ghoul says he was too insane to make any sense. Guy smelled really bad, had neckbeard and was fat as fuck. Also, wore a shirt with some cartoon girl and a headband with Japanese rising sun on it? Strange, but I doubt he is related to hunters being a vampire.

So what should I do now? Planning to strike their monastery (if it's the right place?) with my ghoul and I figure if I manage to kill their head they stop coming after me? Or should I check with Anarchs first where the Elysium is?

First are those of true faith, not the brightest or most subtle but dangerous and once they're on your trail their damn hard to shake

Third are government hunters, generally speaking we have enough people in the high command and civilian leadership to keep them pointed only at what we want them pointed at, but if your rivals one of those leaders or you really really fucked up, you'd best be prepared to handle squads of kine at peak human performance, working as one with the most bleeding edge weapons that exist.

There has been a serious breach in the forward HQ I’ve been operating out of. There are new monsters this Night. I believe I know why the fallen want Toreador bodies. Right now our forces are in full retreat & I am wounded.
It’s no secret that the creation of our old allies the Gargoyles were messy & required Kindred from multiple bloodlines, Gangrel & Nosferatu & the like. It is my belief that the Nephandi are using some kind of spirit to possess Kindred & forge new warriors out of the Blood of Volgrre. With their access to Visisitude, along with some other darker powers perhaps from the Baali (we haven’t had much info from Sabbat sources so it’s hard are to tell what they are dealing with) or from some other source.

These new warriors are strong, resistant to forms of Blood Sorcery & physically mutable in ways that would make a Tzimetze jealous. They are also puppets, though much harder to kill that what we have been dealing with before.

Identification of these new monsters will be difficult. Their inverted spiritual lattice makes them immune to Aupex. They can look more or less like Kindred & kine, but their body’s can twist & contort like they are boneless, as well as creating nonhumanoid shapes.

Edinburgh here; the problems with the local chantry have technically been suppressed, although to do so did involve taking the "nuclear option". From what I observed before we were discovered, I believe the Nephandi are creating these creatures by forcing those vampires they kidnap into the conversion cauls they normally use to make more of themselves. I'm not entirely certain how this process is working; from what I recall the subject must willingly enter (which I can assure you was not the case), and there are no instances I can recall of a non-mage surviving one. Perhaps there is a documented edge case I am missing, but as my chantry is now little more than smouldering rubble my ability to research this is severely limited.

As they were suggesting, and from what little my own studies and salvaging notes has produced I *believe* they found a way with some of the Tremere Elders to convert them into Nephandi and from there, experimented with the Tremere strain.

Remember, Tremere are an "Artificial" bloodline. By our nature, we're likely the closest in overall nature to the original strain in terms of how we react to things if noting else, as the majority of other bloodlines were in someway modified by their progenitors, antediluvian or otherwise. The consumption of Saulot changed that a bit, but still.

If one could recreate the original process to turn a human into a vampire via magic, one could use that as a "baseline", to experiment with the conversion process with on a "generic" vampire. From there, one could modify the process to affect the other clans.

The logical choice for this, of course, at least to begin with, would be the Toreador. Other than the Brujah, they're by far the least altered by their precursors, and the Brujah are far too prone to being public and aggressively so. If a Toreador disappears,their obsessions with art and the like make it far too easy to hide for a great amount of time, because as social as they often are, they aren't "officially" as deeply rooted in the infrastructure of the Camarilla despite being the Tremere's primary rivals for the place at the Ventrue's right hand due to accumulated wealth and history..

Further, Auspex and Celerity make them exceptionally dangerous to the Nephandi, as they can detect them unnoticed and kill them before they can prepare a response, as well as the fact that they're ironically one of the more openly aggressive and martial of the clans among the Camarilla.

Perfect test subjects, while also removing a threat at the same time.

From what I've been finding picking through the rubble and the like, they weren't actually looking for the Volgirre, because when they started nobody other than the Ventrue and the Torrey's knew they were back!

It actually seems to have been a random chance thing where they found a few and went "Well fuck it why not, this way they can have chainsaw teeth".

That said you're overstating the presence of the fleshy monsters. Most of them are...well freakish mutants but not that adaptable.

Finding out how to do it is surprisingly rare because for some fucking reason "Don't needlessly kill people for the lulz, and fight your frenzying as hard as you can every single time" is hard for people to figure out.

Admittedly I understand the later considering most people aren't told you even can fight a Frenzy, just to avoid it, but really. The former should be obvious.

I was on the outskirts of Colorado at the Kindred facility, they came in from above on fleshcrafted wings. They drained the Kindred & ghouls on guard outside in seconds. They looked like normal Kindred for a bit except trailing a charred & smoldering “smoke” behind them. Then they created red armor & weapons from what I can only assume is their own Vitae. The fallen guards then became possessed themselves & turned their weapons against us. Their creatures weapons cut through our wards, their bodies molded under our doors. This wasn’t a Tzimisce contortionist in Horrid Form. These were formless abominations that could not be stopped. They did not fear fire. They outperformed elite personnel & because of the way they fought & moved they couldn’t be touched even with Celerity. The only one we even wounded took several direct white phosphorus grenades only had his hand blow off which grew eyes & a mouth & went back to killing. The ones before were just humans & Kindred that we’re harder to kill sense they were possessed dead. These things are new arrivals to the food chain.

I remember dealing with one of those situations was, he was from the Byzantium days, just after Carthage was reconquered by Belisarius, he went into torpor and woke up in the 70's. you may have to explain plastic to the guy, why he can only sort of understand people, and why my coffin had a handle(I had a fridge with interior locks with a clock inside.) Another thing he told me, this is going to be hard for someone not interested in historical armor, what century do you suspect he was from, the time of Julio-Claudians, Severan dynasties, 3rd century crisis? my guy's in the alps and needs to know which dialect and horn call he should be using, he has knows some ghouls who work for alp rescue services, so if he gets there before the sunrise he should be fine, though I may need to put a few coffin vending machines nearby.
