Lets build out the story of the Predators and their band of misfit Imperial forces as they desperately try to hold off the forces of chaos and defend the Imperium.
last I checked our players are:
>robo-predator space marines
>Waffen SS sisters of battle
>Jihadi Imperial Guard from the Tallarn 666th
>A badass grandpa Lord Inquisitor who runs the entire sector
>A Heretical inquisitor who went full yandere for Lord Inquisitor-Senpai

New forces are welcome(ish), just roll them up if the thread agrees. Write and drawfaggotry is highly encouraged.

==================================
In accordance with my assignment I have begun my investigation and surveillance of the long-thought defunct Venaro sector. While I greatly desire to report that nothing of note has occurred within this sector, this is simply not accurate. As it stands, the forces of this sector are embroiled in a war with the forces of chaos, who have appeared in greater numbers than I have ever before seen. Furthermore, there are rumors within the ranks of the everyday soldier (if they can be truly called such) that there have been sightings of Ork Vanguard craft, potentially heralding an ork WAAAGH! In any other situation such a circumstance would, as you know, present a dire threat to the Imperium. Now is no exception. The location of the Venaro Sector is abnormal, as it would be considered a sector of extreme strategic value, due to its access to systems deep within the heart of the Imperium, IF it were not located on the edge of Imperium space far from the frontlines. It seems now that war has encircled us at last.
My initial report regarding the inhabitants and history of the sector will be forthcoming. It details inhabitants, and historyof note within the sector, though what little information I have gathered thus far about the current siege I have included as well.
I shall continue my assignment discreetly, and without interfering for the time being, though I am prepared to take command of the Imperial battlefleet in the sector should the situation become truly dire. I humbly ask that you re-establish communication channels with this sector as soon as you can. The survival of the Imperium could depend upon it.
May the Emperor Light your paths

==================================
Most Esteemed Lords,
We seem to have a rather urgent situation developing here in the Venaro Sector. It seems that the thread is far greater than I initially thought.

Since the time of my initial report, news of several new players has reached my ears. Firstly, the divided titan legion known as the Pale Stalkers has reappeared as reinforcements for both the forces of Chaos, and the Imperium.
Secondly, it seems as though there was a previously unrecorded world harboring a force of Imperial Knights as well as a fleet of combat spacecraft built according to a pattern I have never come across, presumably built by the local Mechanicus.
Finally, and possibly most worryingly, long-range auspex scans have indicated several ork ships dropping into realspace in the span of the past several cycles. No further information on the Greenskins is presently available, though I have deployed nearly three-quarters of the reconnaissance drones at my disposal.

If it pleases you, I would humbly request several more ships, either reconnaissance or combat, be ordered to rendezvous with my personal fleet. Which I have ordered to make their way to reinforce me.

May the Emperor protect us all

Just gonna pretend that that's a 5.

Throughout my observation of the greenskin position, I have noticed a crude structure which could almost resemble a shrine of some sort. I have gathered little information beyond the fact that the orks near it shout about a thing they call "mork" and about how they are "the most cunning but are still brutal". Information concerning their numbers will be relayed shortly.

the predators would absolutely do that to "solve" any orky problems them came across.

While placing the Fungocide canisters, adjacent to their food and drink of course, I observed what seemed to be looted Tau mechs. They had been altered, presumably to accommodate the Orks. I took the liberty of sabotaging half of them to explode when activated before leaving. I am en route to the lodge now, ETA three standard Terran hours.
That's the rolling done, time to get to the fluff.

Here folks. A agri/mining world which supports the Imperial Navy, a sector base for said navy, a Lord Admiral and the flagship of the Venaros Battlefleet.

For the chaos enemies, I hope nobody minds.

Tariel had seen horses before. In her pict-books as a child, in the holovids shown at midday during the worker's break. They were noble things, she had thought, holy animals from blessed Terra, bearing aloft nobler men and women. She had wished for one since before she had taken her mother's place in the pressing lines, wished to ride out into the stars on the mythical creature and leave the soot and smoke behind. She had not wished for this.

"Tarieeel..."

The voice that spoke to her was like brittle glass, broken shards of sounds slowly scraping against her ears, working its way into her head with a bloody ache. It didn't matter how close or far she was, still it seeped into her. She cringed involuntarily. The voice of a demon.

"Bring him to meee..."

Tariel pushed herself up from the floor, kept her eyes to her feet, winced as blood rushed back to her tingling legs. The metal grating beneath her feet was always cold. Not like home, where the pounding rhythm of the foundries shuddered through every inch of the planet, where the forges wicked away heat to all corners of the industry sector. She wore as much as she could find, as many socks and coats and ragged cloaks as were left by the others. But it wasn't enough. Was this what the stars were like, she wondered, or was it because of... them?

The Pale Gallantry they called themselves. Like knights from the pict-books. Like noble things from the stories. Only, far from the books and vids and the pleasant dreams. She had thought they would take her from her home, to a place more noble and beautiful, and she would be able to breath clear air and sleep without the hammering of machines waking her in the mornings.
>>
>>66010981
She leaned her weight against the massive dead-bolt latching the pen shut, the cage she watched for her new master. It creaked with cold and age and slowly ground open, and the thing inside beat against the gate in its eagerness. The gate slowly swung open with a hideous squeal and Tariel pressed herself back behind the door, trying to hide herself as the beast inside paced out. She tried to ignore the sickly sweet smell of perfume and decay, the trickles of blood dripping from the creature's muzzle, the scraps of clothing trailing behind its feet.

Her master swept up to the creature, pale hood cloaking its features and paler armour hiding its form, and gripped the barbed reins wound around the creature's skull. A low hum, a halting melody, crept into her ears again as her master leaned closer to the beast. Armoured gloves stroked down its sinuous flank.

"You do wellll, Tariel... You shaaall be rewarded for your sssservice, have no feear..."

Tariel cringed back, pressed her back to the cold wall and sunk down to her haunches again. She clamped her hands over her ears, shut her eyes tight and wished for the din of the forges and her mother's smile again.

"Have no fear..."

May I expand on Certion VI and the abhuman regiment?
>>
>>66010648
Jeeze you keep pumping out stuff, thanks
>>
>>66012065
You're welcome.

I already had a lot of notes from an earlier 40K personal project. I just had to gather, write and update.
>>
>>66010981
>>66010988
Now that's pretty good.
>>
>>66012023
Ideas I had:

>Certion VI

>A world which was turned barren by faulty terraforming during the Age of Strife. The Sand Sea is dominated by orks, which launch raids into the Samarra region.

>It's believed the scrap citadel of the orks has been built over the original terraforming systems. The Sidonics frequently launch expeditions to ascertain this. If they find this to be the case, they will invade the planet to rescue the archeotech from the orks.

>The abhumans are drafted from the planet's underground. Originally a untouchable caste forced to build and maintain the qanat systems, millennia of duty turned them into nightsider abhumans, albinos with bulbous eyes. When the Imperium came, the qanats' entrances were then locked and fortified, turning them into prisons from which only those chosen by the Emperor might leave to perform their privilege of dying in His name. They were then officially designed as the Tallarn 666th regiment. Father Mattius improved the regiment's morale and performance after adding to this creed that, through their worthy sacrifice, the nightsiders would atone for their next life. He now has to ensure that, when the abhumans fight, they perform only suicidal attacks which might actually achieve something, instead of wasting away their lives.

>The abus-pattern lascannon is actually used for extreme sniping, focusing on enemy commanders from kilometers away.

>The single megabastion in the planet is Malwiya, a spiraling cone one kilometer high. The mighty Dardanelles Defense Railgun rests atop it, capable of crippling enemy cruisers with a single shot. The Samarra region around it is the only fertile farmland, irrigated by the qanats.

Might I expand it into a proper text?
>>
>>66013728
By all means
>>
>>66013728
please do, the more the merrier
>>
>>66013728
>They were then officially designed as the Tallarn 666th regiment
Why would this be? They're not from Tallarn, right?
>>
>>66013907
>>66014014
Thanks, I'll get to it right away.

>>66014044
That beats me, it was decided in another thread. I plan to justify it as:

-Administratum error

-The original regiment detached to the system was from Tallarn, but it suffered extreme casualities during a orbital disaster and the survivors were fit only to teach the abhumans how to fight as tallarns do.
>>
>>66004671
Definitely!
I will certainly use it in my games.
>>
>>66014044
The original joke was that the regiment stationed there was originally the tallarn 666th infantry regiment that kept the name after being forcibly relocated by the Inquisition when the showed a disturbing preference for allahu akbar-esque tactics.
Deemed as a hazard to any units they were deployed alongside, but too effective to disband, they were relocated.
Tallarn was chosen as their system of origin purely for the sandpeople memes
>>
>>66015299
Ah I see, so it's a ship of Theseus situation. Gone so long that no one thought to cross their name off the list, so to speak, and they just keep replenishing under the same name. That's cool then.
>>
>>66015392
pretty much
I haven't finished the Inquisition report that I'm working on.
Hopefully I can finish it up tonight. That should work as a good summary of the factions in play at the moment and clear up a lot of the murkyness of stuff that may have gotten lost
>>
We still don't have that much material for the Tallarn 666th.

>>65978103 (and next ones)
To recap quickly, we have mutation-tainted gangers from Tallarn, chosen to serve by the blind hand of luck. They are overzealous in hope to redeem themselves, thus the Nuns grudgingly tolerate them. They are specialized in range combat and have a specialized lascannon pattern (not detailed so far). They believe in glory in death and have friends in the Administratum.
Their enemies are the Waagh from >>66006601
and include suicide bombing among their tactics.

Should we focus on their lascannon next, maybe from Sidon or another Forge-World? We also have nothing about their commanding officers or Commissars.
>>
>>66015823
See >>66013728 >>66014092
>>
>>66015823
If it's Nazi Sororitas with Famulous allies, then I suppose the logical step would be Sisters running screening squads through the populous looking for aberrants and sending them off to work camps. The 'lucky' ones take the lottery into the military, the rest work for their souls.
>>
>>66015823
>>66015967

>>66013728 here
Okay, that's different from what I was writing. The sororitas live in the same planet? The abhumans are supposed to be from Tallarn after all?
>>
So is the lascannon just as powerful or is it weaker to compensate for the greater range? I can see it used on defense turrets at high elevations to pick off thin skinned vehicles and fairly effective against aircraft.

Probably bigger and heavier but has found it's niche over the years
>>
>>66016016

No. The abhumans are stationed on different planet then the sisters.

I see it as having the same power, but having optimized targeting systems to give it greater range. By the same the shot reaches its target, it might be roughly as powerful as an autocannon shot however.

>They use "las-jezails", a variant of the las-lock created by sidonic techpriests from broken lasrifles. These long-barreled weapons are quite accurate and pack a strong punch. The stocks are handmade and ornately decorated, featuring a distinctive curve which is not seen in the stocks of other lasguns. A las-jezail is often fired from a bipod.

Why would they be friendly with the Administratum?
>>
>>66016103
I think that the increased bulk and weight (as well as cost) make it unsuitable for use in the infantry. However, the Leman Russes and Sentinels could and would field them, thus allowing their scouts to slip behind enemy lines and them snipe enemy officers with the Abus-pattern lascannon.
>>
We establish previously that Certion VI was a jungle world. Are we going to change that now?
>>
>>66016348

Maybe because they like suicidal guardsmen?
>>
>>66016772
>>66016795
I thought the sector's world were supposed to be mostly barren.
>>
>>66016834
I'm not sure they like suicidal guardsmen but the 666th is probably better-disciplined by their hope of redemption, plus the background of their abhuman brand as responsible for maintaining system gives them a tendancy to be careful with their wargear and not waste fuel or ammo.
>>
>>66016795
>>66016887
Well, you people decide that.

If they're supposed to live in a jungle world, I will adapt the abhumans as nightsiders originally coming from a untouchable caste forced to take care of the dead in the world's catacombs instead. Will also change their garb.

What sounds better?
>>
>>66017087
Or should they be a type of abhuman adapted to living in the jungles? I got some amazonian indigenous lore I can use for that.
>>
>>66017087
They could take care of the dead but also of the whole network of catacombs, including building and repairing tunnels. That would give them an understanding of making tunnels and fighting in them during their service.
>>
>>66017087

Well, the idea that Certion VI was a jungle world is from the first thread. Nobody did anything interesting with it until now, so i see no problem in changing some things.
>>
I built the skeleton of the article "Venaro sector" on 1d4chan, I haven't got time to do much else right now but there was a pdf with much of what was said, maybe someone can fill in and do some formatting.
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Venaro_sector
>>
Guys, I'm coming up blank on officers and commissars of the 666th. Any ideas?
>>
>>66016887
This is how previous anons describe this sector:
>The climate of the worlds within the sector is unusually harsh, so much so that it seems the system was the location of terraforming research before the age of strife. While most systems are habitable, the populations living on them are hardy by nature, having adapted to their environment. This makes some of the more populated worlds excellent recruitment ground for both Astartes chapters, and the imperial guard. However, even these densely populated worlds are nearly barren by some standards. The sector itself was never valuable enough for hives to be constructed worldwide anywhere. There is a singular large city located on the world of Venaro I, the center of government in the sector and sector’s namesake, though even here the presence technology is somewhat lacking.
>>
>>66017641
Very good work anon. 1d4chan will soon be graced by our masterpiece
>>
>Elite Units

>Cataphracts - This group use Sentinels and Leman Russ Annihilators, armed with the abus-pattern lascannon, to snipe important targets on the battlefield. These may be enemy commanders, particularly tough creatures and distinct armored foes. To achieve this, the lascannons are equipped with improved targeting systems based on a servitor scanning array mounted in the weapon. This enables the user to hit enemies from up to two miles away.
>>
>>66016887

So the sector worlds are "nearly barren by some standards", not completely barren. Space Marine home world is a jungle world.
>>
>>66017735
Well, we could first use table 2-2 of Only War to get a temperament. Someone give me 1d9?

For the Commissar, I guess it wouldn't be easy to fit in, so one of the first decisions would be if he genuinely tries to understand his flock, vaguely tries to be sympathetic or doesn't care at all.
>>
>>66018004

Nice.
>>
>>66018022

Vaguely tries to be sympathetic, seems most fitting.
>>
>>66018038
Thanks.

>Recruitment and training

>The regiment was originally of Tallarn, but it suffered horrendous casualties after the coming of the orks to Certion VI. The Administratum then decided to keep the name, but recruited soldiers from the local abhumans which were then trained by the original survivors of the 666th.

>The abhumans are from the planet's underground. Originally a untouchable caste forced to build and maintain the qanat systems, millennia of duty turned them into nightsider abhumans, albinos with bulbous eyes and improved vision. When the Imperium came, the qanats' entrances were then locked and fortified, turning them into prisons from which only those chosen by the Emperor might leave to perform their privilege of dying in His name.

>Training follows standard Imperial Guard training, with a heavier emphasis on stamina and marksmanship. Each soldier must be able to walk twenty miles on the dunes on a single day and shoot an ork tooth from two hundred yards before he is considered fit for combat.

>Equipment

>Sidon Pattern Las-jezail - this is a variant of the las-lock, created by sidonic scav-workshops from broken lasguns. These long-barreled weapons are quite accurate and pack a strong punch. The stocks are handmade and ornately decorated, featuring a distinctive curve which is not seen in the stocks of other lasguns. A las-jezail is often fired from a bipod.

>Flak Cloak - Owning to the hot climate of Certion VI, the 666th adapted their armor as a form of sleeveless cloak. It can also be quickly removed if necessary. In case of a melee, many of the abhumans will wrap the cloak around their left arm, using it as a sort of shield.

>Scimitar

>Garb - While uniform standardization does not exist, the style of dress for most abhumans is relatively similar: a long white tunic and a headcloth.
>>
>>66018145

You forgot about their suicide vests.
>>
>>66018381
You're right. Was there any detail on those?
>>
>>66018381
Was that a common feature or something like a special unit?
>>
>>66018381
>>66018407
>>66018463
>Suicide vest - Every nightsider carries this under the flak cloak. The vest contains a variable amount of homemade explosives, shrapnel and a detonator.

>Notable Individuals

>Father Mattius: current Chaplain of the regiment. He was initially against being grouped with abhumans, but came to admire their self-sacrifice and sense of duty towards the Emperor. However, he also noted that the regiment’s suicidal tactics often failed to accomplish anything worth of their faith. So he added two ideas to their creed: through their worthy sacrifice, abhumans might atone, and be born as normal humans in their next life; but, a sacrifice which accomplishes nothing is as much of a sin as being an abhuman, for this wastes the life that is the Emperor’s due.
>>
>Planet of Origin

>Certion VI

>This is a desert planet, mostly covered by large erg deserts. In the equatorial regions, a single day might see water boil under the sun and freeze at midnight. Life is only possible deep underground, in the extensive cave system used by the orks to travel throughout the planet. The poles have more temperate climates, although they’re still very hot during the day and cold at night. Ancient ruins of human origin, buried under the sands, suggest that the planet wasn’t originally like this. The sidonic techpriests theorize that the planet was turned barren by faulty terraforming equipment, likely damaged during the Age of Strife.

>The north pole is a large plateau and houses the imperial population in the Samarra region, a belt of fertile farmland around the plateau. The latter is crisscrossed by thousands upon thousands miles of underground tunnels, the qanats, which supply water to the farms and few cities. The single megabastion in the planet is Malwiya, a spiraling cone one kilometer high, located right at the magnetic north pole. The mighty Dardanelles Defense Railgun rests atop it, capable of crippling enemy cruisers with a single shot.

>The south pole is dominated by the orks, They built a scrap citadel from which they launch raids into the north pole. It's believed the scrap citadel of the orks has been built over the original terraforming systems. The Sidonics frequently launch expeditions to ascertain this. If they find this to be the case, they will invade the planet to rescue the archeotech from the orks.
>>

From previous thread:

"Lacking time to say any more Father Mattius simply belted out as loud as he could "Go forth in the name of the Great Emperor of Mankind, and blessed be ye this day!"
His answer was a hundred guttural braying roars as they streamed past him towards the front line, where they would go up and over the edge of the trench and then counter charge to buy time for their regiment brothers and the Sisters of Battle to fall back to secondary emplacements. Though they knew they surely went to their deaths, he saw no fear in them, for they had been promised paradise and they did not doubt.
The sounds of bolter fire were soon replaced with the whir of chainblades and the shouts of the dying. Another stream of bodies went past Father Mattius, Sisters Militant in shining armor and abhumans toting valuable heavy weapons, but he did not join them just yet, no he waited a moment more, and then his patience was rewarded.
"EMPEROR IS GREAT" The shout rang out across the field and then-
Boom, the air was rent by a ripple of explosions as his flock began detonating the bombs hidden under their flack armor.
"Truly, blessed be the mind to small for doubt" thought Father Mattius as he began to run after the retreating forms towards the next line of entrenchment."

To me it's seems like every abhuman has suicide vest.
>>
>>66018738

>>
>>66018718

>Noteworthy Engagements

>The Welcoming Darkness (251.M39). Desert tribesmen find ruins of an ancient human city revealed by the shifting sands. Greed takes over cautiousness, and they enter the twisting maze of streets. This serves only to awaken the terror which doomed the city in the first place. Demons of the Old Night, the divs are like hairy ogryns with horns and claws, capable of possessing people through their shadows, as well as traveling from one shadow to the other. The lone survivor is forced to send an emergency signal to the megabastion, so the demons acquire more victims. This is their undoing, for three battalions of nightsiders are sent. The battle starts poorly for them, but once the demons’ abilities are noticed, the abhumans move towards the deepest tunnels they can find. There, in the supreme darkness, they feel like home and without any shadows for the Divs to use. The underground melees cost many lives, but the demons are slain.

==================================
Milords,
I wish to firstly thank you fully for the reinforcements which you have deemed fit to send me.
With their aid, and the assistance of my personal fleet, I have expanded reconnaissance operations across still more of the sector. This has largely led to the further documentation of many of the groups in the nearby vicinity. Though there have been murmurs of yet more factions lurking beyond my reach, strides have been made in many areas and discreet contact has been made with the Imperial Navy battlefleet within the sector. Though full cartographic efforts are still waiting on those with expertise in that specific area, we have obtained some minimal navigation data from the Imperial battlefleet. albeit with the caveat that it is so archaic and incomplete that its a wonder that they can traverse this system at all.
I hope to complete an revision of my report soon. Please expect it within the next few cycles.
The emperor protects.

>Ork Raid Number 3.449 (399.M38). A mix of boss and weirdboy claims dominance over the Scrap Citadel, triggering a small Waaagh!. A caravan of ramshackle vehicles departs to the north pole, seeking violence and plunder. They raze many outlying farms and some towns, catching the attention of the 666th. They fortify nearby communities, uncertain of which one the orks are going to strike next. The roar of engines warns the inhabitants of Tamaklan of the coming green tide. In the midst of battle, a single Sentinel snipes the head of the “weirdboss”, vaporizing it with its lascannon. This provokes a chain reaction, in which the heads of all the orks burst like grapes. A victory with few casualties is almost too good to be true. The success of the tactic leads to its implementation as doctrine and the development of the abus-pattern lascannon.

Yeah, the plants, and apparently the animals as well, absorb metal and macinery and incorporate it into their biology. It's why I'm of the opinion that the traitor Titans are probably fucked.

They keep them in wooden crates and just drop them on enemy positions.
>>
>>66024618
Yeah, I can believe that.
>>
Here is all I did for the 666th, partially based on stuff said in this thread.
>>
So on the Predators making these into Servitors, this would be a fairly recent thing. The Cyber Beasts are an integral part of the Cyber Wood life cycle and the planet's ecosystem and as such the Predators are very careful to not disrupt the population too heavily.

This came after centuries of studying (dissection, vivisection, group behavior study etc.) and trial and error surgeries before they thought it viable
>>66024618
Emperor damn it I never thought of that. I can see that as the origin of a Pred CSM offshoot after they go insane from the mutations

You know with all the metals on the predators world it wouldn't at all be surprising if there was something buried deep underground
>>
>>66024934
That and they likely drop metal from comets/asteroids on to the surface just to be sure.

The beasts and various creatures eat metal and are made of it so their is a circle of life where their remains continually are recycled.

I realize due to their shells the Beasts are likely immensely strong, like lift and throw vehicles with ease, tear apart armor and climb Cyber Woods handily.

Their tailswipes can rip/cleave through a dozen+ PDF. They've been known to throw up on Chimera's to get at the humans inside as a snack

>Does anyone have any ideas for the Sisters? I've got some stuff in my head for them, but I don't know what exactly to write about.
Considering their character, I thought of giving some spartan lore to them:

-Every sister is thoroughly inspected for signs of physical or mental blemishes. Their standards prove to be more rigourous than the selections of a space marine chapter.

-At age 7, the girls enter a rigorous order-sponsored education, military training and socialization program. Known as the Agoge, the system emphasizes duty, discipline and endurance. They are subjected to continual physical, competitions (which involve violence), given meager rations and expected to become skilled at stealing food, among other survival skills.

-All non-militant labor is performed by failed aplicants which weren't seen to have abhuman traits, the girls which weren't perfect enough. Perioeci, whose name means “dwellers-around".

-Laconic speech, being brief, precise and sometimes ironic.

-The Krypteia is an internal police force which watches over all, sisters and perioeci alike.

-Every year, the sisters execute pogroms over the population of Apophis II, executing all which don't pass their standards of human purity.

-When purging planets, the sisters abduct both boys and girls deemed pure enough and induct them into their education and breeding programs. They are also obsessed with breeding the perfect human, you see.

-The sisters are skilled at fighting as one, product of the constant drilling.

-They use bronze-sheated power armor, wear long hair in knots and red cloaks.
>>
>>66030090
Sounds like your average SoB training, at least from what I imagined after they're recruited.

And I thought we were going for white armor?
>>
>>66030123
>Sounds like your average SoB training, at least from what I imagined after they're recruited.
And the rest of the ideas?

>And I thought we were going for white armor?
Ok didn't know that.
>>
>>66030153
I like the ideas, but I quite liked the Nazi start. But if you feel this is easier we can go with it

It's all right
>>
So what should this C'tan be like? I was thinking one more a swarm like figure where it's composed of many little parts.
>>
>>66030161
Let's mix the nazi and spartan then.

-Laconic speech, being brief, precise and sometimes ironic.

-The Krypteia is an internal police force which watches over all, sisters and perioeci alike.

-Every year, the sisters execute pogroms over the population of Apophis II, executing all which don't pass their standards of human purity. That is the final exam of the newly-inducted sisters.

-When purging planets, the sisters abduct both boys and girls deemed pure enough and induct them into their education and breeding programs. They are also obsessed with breeding the perfect human, you see.

-Some say they use viate womb techniques to achieve the required number of perfect sisters.

-They perform experiments on both humans and abhumans, in labor camps in Apophis II.

-They are constantly engaged in purges of imperial populations considered tainted or imperfect, seeking to create living space for the products of their breeding programs. These purges often include labor programs in which the imperfect populations die fromn exhaustion and hunger building settlements and cathedrals for the coming immigrants. There are a number of deserted planets full of grand cities and gigantic temples, just waiting for citizens.

>>66030349

>>
>>66030349
I don't like it. We started with something and mixing in Spartans would only dilute the joke.
>Krypteia -> Staatpolize
>Perioeci -> Zwangarbet
>>
>>66030076
It doesn't seem that there are but we can still make a C'Tan.
>>66030282
>>66030389
OK, what do the little parts look like? Just geometric forms or something else? I think it would appear bright and elude a desire to possess it in whoever sees it, leading weaker minds to treat it as a McGuffin to be controlled, which would eventually profit only the C'Tan itself. Although since it was sundered into shards, this effect probably lost much of its potency.
To what extent does our army control him, do they have many powerful shards?
>>
>>66030584
>Although since it was sundered into shards, this effect probably lost much of its potency.
No, that was only convenient for it, because it could now subtly work its power to compel bearers of its shards to bring them together, allowing it to become whole once again.

The Necrons are the biggest obstacle, but they won't last forever in the face of the Predators, the Nazi Sisters and the Tallarn 666th...
>>
>>66030153

>>
>>66030614

I think the chaos marines were mostly passed over in terms of lore, same as the Orks. Actually, they weren't even finished I think. Still needs numbers and allegiances. Collected rolls would be
>Legion warband (Emperor's Children / Slaaneshi)
>Neutral devotion
>Daemonhood is Godhood
>Desecrate and Defile
>Voice of Evil
>Daemon Prince (Scourge of the Imperium)
>Icy Industrial homeworld
>Death from Afar
>Special Mounts

I'm guessing they'd be allied with chaosy titans called the Warp Runners, and led by Xanathor who helped corrupt the titans in the first place. I can't see much else beyond that.

The Space Locusts. We haven't put a fleet of them in the Venaro sector yet and I don't think we have to, after all it is already hard to have all of our factions matter.
However, perhaps they strike at splinter fleets here and there (without knowledge of anyone else of course) and it deters Tyranids from attacking the sector. Were they to be destroyed or too much weakened, a Tyranid threat could emerge.

That could be pretty interesting. Slaaneshi psykers are sadly under represented.
Also we were 1 away from the traitor Titan legion as allies, which seems fitting for some reason.

And we're enemies with the Orks, who were tricked into the sector by X'anathor in the first place. The orks warboss krumped us previously, so that fits as well.

-The Staatpolize is an internal police force which watches over all, sisters and Zwangarbet alike.

-Every year, the sisters execute pogroms over the population of Apophis II, executing all which don't pass their standards of human purity. That is the final exam of the newly-inducted sisters. Those that fail this become Zwangarbet, failed aspirants which perform all non-militant labor.

I'm going to elaborate on the C'tan's brainwashing.

>The initial influence is a mind-altering field projected by a shard (which appears to be a shiny or otherwise attention-grabbing trinket) that subtly influences nearby individuals, drawing their focus to it and making it seem precious. Those who see it believe it to be important or valuable and want to possess it.

>Someone who bears a shard has entered Stage I, in which they slowly become more attached to their shard and more protective of it.

>In Stage II, the bearer begins to have odd ideas concerning the shard, such as an impulse to take it somewhere or perform some ritualistic activity with it -- these ideas are inserted by the shard, and carefully crafted to seem like normal impulses to the bearer.

>The end result is Stage III: the victim is thoroughly brainwashed by the inhuman intelligence, hapilly obeying and worshipping the will of the C'tan. There is no known cure for those who have reached this stage of enslavement.

I'm taking about another entity, one mentioned in this very thread, which holds the entire dynasty dancing to its tune. A certain being which dances with fate and brings woe and suffering to those caught in its deadly dervish.
Our C'tan made our Dynasty into its brainwashed slaves, and they were buried after it was destroyed by the Silent King. In recent times, the Imperium (or something else) accidentally woke them up, and the shards that stayed with them have been ruling them, while other shards spread across the galaxy have been manipulating unlucky thralls into bringing them to the Venaro Sector, so it can return to its full power and glory.
