Continuing from the last thread, this is a setting creation has ceased to be and only a churning swamp of nothingness remains, with a lone house soaring through the emptiness to protect what remains.

General notes thus far:
>The Last House is a living construct that is all that remains of Creation following the Swamp devouring it.
>Reclaimers are the inhabitants of the House that venture out beyond its embrace into the Swamp via usage of anchors, and work to find and reclaim the motes of history that are all that remains of creation.
>Incursions and Lost are the servitors of the Midnight Swamp and seek to undo all things that remain. Their power is immense, but the touch of existence lessens and wounds them

There should be symbols. To help show of what type of entity's there are, I mean combat from what I can gather is more of a ritual then actually fighting so.
>>
>>66110676
I've been thinking a bit on that bent. Perhaps something akin to colored sigils that represent what level of threat a specific entity is?

Ya. And possible something to allude to what aspects it has. I'll grab the serpents hand thing and make some based off of it tomorrow,
And for the threat level we can continue with the Arabic faith and use Angel's.

What would be the "Symbols are compromised" equivalent here? Essentially the "OH SHIT" button for the entire House.
>>
>>66111315
A symbol of the house but with it being distorted, I'll draw it.
I'll draw one for a room someone was lost in, for incursions, one for a room near an exit of the house, and one for saying to be armed or on guards.

>>66110901
Why is the most important symbol missing from that chart?

>Nobody was sure just how long the Chattering had infested their minds, those Reclaimers who came back boasting about how they'd found and brought back"treasure troves worth of history." Nor was anybody quite sure why it never struck them immediately as suspicious, given how these were first time Reclaimers with fairly basic anchors who made bold claims of finding more history beyond the mere motes and scraps we've been collecting for what feels like eternities yet. I certainly never put two and two together until ol' Ricky's skull flowered upon into a swarm of writhing teeth.

>We dont even know how long it took with them. Could've been anything from a month to the instant they actually entered the House. Doesn't really matter now, though. Fuckery dropped any and all subtlety when it had them trying to eat Crow's library and Lady Augatha's gardens. Took a year to burn all the remains out of the place, I can tell ya'.

>From what I hear from the later guys, the toothy bastard is more prone to ambushes back out there, in the Swamp. Not sure why that initial strike was so different from later reports, but I doubt this was entirely coincidental. Not a bit.

Running this through Transformer Bot is a hoot.

>Creation is no more. What remains is an endless black swamp of roiling midnight. Terrible, and boundless. The only thing that seems reasonable in that is having a baby.

>But it's hard not to wonder how we managed to get here without them. And so, once again, on this week's show, what do we know about one of society's most precious and precious creatures: an unborn child. Today is the second consecutive day that we have seen an abortion-related event. And we're not even trying to hide it.

>In recent years, pro-lifers have been out to undermine Roe v. Wade, its landmark ruling that defined what an abortion was and who the unborn would be allowed to be in the Constitution. It is now, for pro-lifers, like a new invention: a baby. It's like they've invented the next Internet to sell the product.

>"This is a baby, a human being. Our kids are not people. … They're just people we want to hold

>The Night is known by many things, many names. The Midnight Swamp, the Deep Black, Abstraction's End, COLD, and uncountable others by the denizens of the House, the last things of all spaces. Even the Night, for all that it is the most used of said names, was just some poor fool's attempt to make sense of it all.

>One of it, however, is known to this very one, and her name is Sharlot. And despite this, the day has finally come to her that she's decided to get a few pointers from her old friend and fellow traveler, the Night Mother.

>Sharlot, Sharlot.

>She's been following the way to her dream for so long, that she doesn't even know all the locations yet.

>She was still looking to get to her new dream during the nights most important events like the birth of the new child. In her dreams the Night Mother is looking down upon her. The Dark Night. It's all they see. And she's glad.

>Amongst the 'oldest' of the inhabitants of the Last House, the Crow (or just Crow as he prefers to be called) is the librarian of the House. It is his job to catalogue each and every story and take and crumb of knowledge that the House manages to recover, with all of that assorted wisdom being piled in the Great Library for all to read and go through at their leisure.

>In the case of the Crow, he's quite interested in his past and has many stories to read and ponder about. He's also fairly skilled in learning, as he often learns stories that other Library librarians in his House are unable to recall.

>He doesn't mind reading other's memories of the past or the lives of his past ancestors, however, and generally works more or less apathetically.

>His past descendants may occasionally encounter him, especially those who have long histories with the House,

>The Last House itself is an entity, alive and complete with a will of its own. It is unknown what it might truly be, and innumerable theories abound, but what is known for a fact is that the House pours all its efforts into sheltering and caring for those it has taken in.

>Sometimes, incursions occur. The defensive barriers of the House thing, however slightly, and the Boundless Midnight Swamp starts leaking in.

>The House thing takes flight, only for the Swamp thing to fly off too

>The House thing gets to do something, the Swamp thing takes flight in the direction of the House thing. So far, so good. The house thing flies off with the swamp thing just as well as the swamp thing could, because it knows that it can't possibly survive much longer in the swamp, even if it somehow has the will to, or perhaps because it has decided, for all practical purposes, to be dead long enough, in fact, for the Swamp to come after it, to drown the house thing dead. What was the Swamp up to last time?

>"Hear my call, my love, and go to the surface!"

>A familiar voice calls at us from somewhere on the far side of the swamp. We find the face beneath the swamp, which looks to some people familiar with the swamp as vaguely familiar but

When did that become a thing?

How big is the house

What do I see when I look outside the window

How do we manage groceries and plumbing

What's on TV and the Internet?
>>
>>66119736
>How big is the house
Presumably, it contains an unending assortment of rooms and pathways, but it simplifies itself so that the guests can have an easy time getting around. So it might seem smaller than it actually is for first-time guests.

>What do I see when I look outside the window
It wouldn't allow you to see what's actually outside, but it'll show you whatever you really want to see at that moment.

>How do we manage groceries and plumbing
The House prepares food or otherwise provides the means for people to get their own food for those who like things hands on. Plumbing is likely the same.

>What's on TV and the Internet?
TV is filled with an assortment of channels and genres, but there some clearly strange parts at times ( like characters or entities from one show popping up in one that doesn't at all relate to their origin show), which seems to hint at the House trying its best to entertain its guests, but not really getting how things work. Same for the Internet, but to a greater extent.
>>
>>66119703
Some time into the middle portion of the Last thread.
>>
>>66122302
The concept shows up earlier in that we had to think of a reason why anyone would actually try to go outside the House.

>And tell me what symbols you want to be drawn.
Got some ideas.

>"Entity is observing."- A multitude of eyes strewn about
>"Mote nearby."- A brightly glowing star with large rays radiating from it
>" Multiple Lost present."- A large shadowed screaming face
>"Reclaimers were Corrupted."- A body holding several detached heads
>"Location shifts quickly."- Nonsensical branching lines in all directions
>"Mote is a trap."- The star from the Mote Nearby symbol, but with a bleeding smile adorning its front

I have some more ideas, but these seem like a good starting point.

Is there ever an instance where you should follow the little girl?
>>
>>66129324
Self-Sacrifice
Aspect

R:Tap this card to redirect any action by an opponent onto yourself.

A:Tap this card to forcibly tap an opponent's Aspect. The Action from that card falls upon you.

C:Tapping any card allows one Reaction from any of your opponents.

"So many of us wish to be martyrs. Grief, I suppose."

>>66128975
>>"Drifting hazard present." Four circles touching at the rims in a parralelgram-ish configuration, with the internal lines erased, resembling a cloud bank. This is usually drawn around another symbol to indicate what type of effect this field exerts.
>>"Cognitive hazard present." A dome with stem, representing a brain, split down the middle.
>>"Static Non-Euclidean geometry present." Two lines that start parallel, and then bend over to cross eachother.
>>"Paracasuality": Two S curved lines, crossing at the middle, with one cut much shorter than the other, resembling an hourglass with the bottom sliced out.
>>"Symbol dialect compromised." A diagonal cross over the symbol for that dialect.
>>
>>66129656
No, never. I don't think there's a single piece of horror media where following the little girl ended in anything other than tragedy.
>>
>>66129826
>>C:Tapping any card allows one Reaction from any of your opponents.
...I should probably rewrite this, hold on.

C:Tapping any card allows one Action from any of your opponents immediately after your turn.

There we go...although I'm not sure that's much of an improvement. Opinions?
>>
>>66130063
>There we go...although I'm not sure that's much of an improvement. Opinions?
Seems like it could end up with Lost and Incursions just ganging up on a target if it allows *any* opponent to perform a retaliatory Action right off the bat. Should at least allow the team to perform a counter-action agianst certain enemy moves.
>>
>>66130100
Well, the thing is, I marked it with a C because that effect only kicks in when that Aspect is Corrupted.

Having Corrupted Aspects should hurt. It should hurt enough that outright destroying that Aspect, even though a replacement might not be forthcoming, should seem like a viable alternative.

Also, nothing about that effect prevents the team from using a Reaction in response to said retaliatory action.
>>
>>66130176
Huh. Thanks for clearing that up then. Might still have issues, but with that explanation, it more or less works fine.
