Summary: The world is as of now a pure fantasy setting. Things in the north are nice, things in the south are less nice. We're not adding manpreg island no matter how much you ask, feel free to add other stuff and flesh out other things.

Also would be cool if someone made a map of the 'underdark' as lots of people have been interested in an expanded underground area.
>>
Map anon here. I'm working on the physical map of the world thus far. Since you're adding landmasses all the time, I'm going to make the map using this template as of now. If there are more geographical additions later or lore that necessitates adding more stuff, I'll add it once this is done.

Also, if you are going to include geographical elements, please add the names so I can put them as soon as possible. Thanks.

High in the mountains between the hordes and the Kinga badlands is a castle isolated from - and forgotten by - the outside world, Clockwork Castle has not seen a living soul for a century or more... yet it is still inhabited.

"Hludovech Castle" began life around two hundred years ago, built by a very successful merchant family from faraway Gvilderstaaten, according to the latest fashions from that province. Heavily inspired by Qadashian technology, all kinds of machinery and conveniences were later added to the manor; and over time it instead came to be called "Clockwork Castle".

The long dead lord of the castle left behind him a handful of loyal automatons, who to this day still clean and sweep the floors of the castle as if their lord was still there. The only way to reach the Clockwork Castle is through a series of complex caves from the south, so that explains why very few people have ever gotten the chance to witness such a marvel.

In the easternmost island of the horned ogre archipielago (the one that's almost a circle) is home to the pirate temple known simply as Künt, from which the dreaded red pirates launch raids all the way from the Kingdom of Gold in the north to Luden in the south, and they rob trade ships that travel among the kingdoms of the East.
For a time they were safe from attacks from the civilized nations, since no one was crazy enough to land an army in the islands of the terrible horned ogres. That changed with the rise and expansion of the followers of Avangar, the red pirates of Künt now see their once unassailable home in the threatened by the encroaching Elyrians.
The greatest peculiarity of the red pirates is their unusual way of fighting, which centres around unarmed combat. Legend claims that the red pirates were created by a peasant from Changrila [some unsourced reports claim he was actually a Joo merchant] who believed that the commoners should depose the nobility, the bureaucrats and even the God-emperor himself and distribute all the land between themselves, forming autonomous peasant communities in which everyone was equal. Needless to say, such crazy idea failed. The peasant then fled his homeland, never to return, and traveled the breath and wide of the continent, learning the combat arts of all the proud great warriors he could find. He learned from the Kinga, the nomads of Ogabo, the Gökmavi khans, the Thuleans of U'mer, the Bhakkari, the rangers of Gor'GoLeth, the Soomi of the chill steppe, and more, though, legend claims, he would always say that his greatest knowledge was learned from a wise snoloth.
>>
what are the major religions of the continent?
>>
>>84865908
> West: Faith of the prophet
> Noerth-east: Avangar Religion
> center-south-east: Church of the Maw
>>
>>84865872
He then traveled to the horned ogre islands, where he unified all his knowledge and experience into one supreme martial art, known as Künt (etymology unknown, some have claimed that that's just what the horned ogres called him after he showed them his skills), to which he added his personal philophy, based on the three principles, formally known as the "three ghosts":
1. There's no good or evil.
2. There's no afterlife.
3. There's no property.
Thus, the Master Künt scouted the realms of the East in search of orphans and young urchins which would make for promising disciples of Künt. These apprentices formed his own personal pirate band, training at the temple every year during the cold winter in order to raid in the summer. Since then a new Master Künt has risen after the death of the previous one, though very few information ever gets out of Künt, so we don't know how many Masters have been.
Rumours in Seagard's trader taverns nowadays say that the current holder of the title of Master Künt, and de facto leader of the red pirates, is actually a young woman. Crazy right?

These nomadic warriors, the Mona Ki Ngi Xica, are on bad terms with their honey badger neighbors, who often overstep their lands' boundaries, and into the Mona Ki Ngi Xica's savanna.

An ancient, decadent city state, Daligrad has changed hands countless times throughout its history, though these days it is technically part of Azan, though extremely independent. The true rulers though are rival syndicates run by the bog witches, witchelves, and succubi.

Famous for its endless bordellos, casinos, dance halls, and drug and slave markets, everything goes in Daligrad if you have enough coin, though many find the city to be too lawless to be worth the risk.

DARK DEALINGS -THE LIFE OF A MERCENARY IN THE WITCH ELVEN EMPIRE (1)
Korodir "The Unshakeable" Damuz

Part 1: Early Life
I was born in oront, as part of the Underclass. Not having enough food, petty theft and street fights and inevitably getting caught by the law, and being taken home to be disiplined by my father was the way of life for me. I will always rember my father... I had always wanted more than what I got, and looked at the children of nobles with envy. However I learned to accept this as reality within the walls of Oront.how foolish I was stil...
When I was 16 I signed up to the military. I got disciplned real good. My old street ways were beaten out of me and eventually I became an Ideal soldier surpassing the majority of my peers in combat and battle coordination.

I was made a tributary soldier to a Large Azanari mercenary company when I was 18. The Dragons of the West, I was treated as second class citizen there as well by the officers. However there was a unit of other Oront and several thin pale haired men with purple and gray eyes and pointed ears. This unit was known by the rest of the company as the Retarded Fuckups.
I soon found out why.
>>
>>84866404
Sir that's not an Empire. It's a collection of citystates, nobody detailed what they are yet though
>>
North of the Kowloon stacked city, lies a city so vile, ugly and dirty that even the peasants of Grobianismus would be proud of.

Lunatik Nine (named after the amount of times the city has been sacked and then rebuilt) is populated by a group of people that used to live in Kowloon. However, as they all refused to work and kept stealing and breaking the law, the Kowloon militia evicted them out of their city.

Using scraps from Kowloon that they managed to scavenge, these people, called the "Khenomeri", named after a fallen empire they have no relation with, are said to hail from the hordes to the far south, who eventually made their way to Kowloon.

Disentery, hepatitis and fleas are very common in Lunatik Nine, as well as use of the "White Death". Since they refuse to work honest jobs, they mostly survive by stealing from Kowloon. Even though the Kowloon militia often raids the Khenomeri back for the scraps they've stolen, razing the city into the ground, after each raid they manage to build it back with even more houses, nobody knowing how or why.

Khenomeri make such excellent thieves and scammers, that their services are well appreciated in Ampleazzo and Gvilderstaaten.

>>84866793
not the original drow guy, but assuming he is gone or doesn't care, here is some ideas

The drow are believed to hail from another plane (like many other races) and are unrelated to certain other elf races of this world. They worship a mix of imported and new gods, like Lolth the Spider Queen, Infernus the Volcano, Vivec the Poet, and Gogotha the Succubus Queen. There are several conflicting religions and pantheons, which is one of several reasons for the drow's splintered nature.

Although many drow nations and city states exist underground, the surface nations of the western subcontinent are the most visible. This region of ash choked mountains, swamps, sickly jungle scrub, and lava flows is all but inhospitable to most life, but the drow have made their home there, due to the lack of light and other similarities to the underdark.

Warfare is common among drow nations, but drow will generally unite against outside invaders. The drow see themselves as superior to other races, and slavery is common, particularly humans, orcs, and dwarves (from several lost dwarven kingdoms once found in the area). Most slaves have been so for generations, and have been bred and magically altered to enhance obedience and limit intelligence.
>>
>>84867358
Aww, I hate that. I would have preferred all Elves are related and we have to do some cool antrophology and stuff to figure out how.

DARK DEALINGS -THE LIFE OF A MERCENARY IN THE WITCH ELVEN EMPIRE (2)
Korodir "The Unshakeable" Damuz
Part 2: My time in the Western Dragons
Other members of the company told me that my unit was going to get used as ogre fodder. We were heading towards the dominion of the Bog Witch to try and plunder the lands and find artefacts of the southwestern dragon empire lost in the bog
My unit was the most numerous unit in the company. It was made up of Oront Tributaries and the bastard & half elf sons of Witch Elf nobles.
I got freindly with one of them, Melrek Krezrad. he would later become like a brother to me... he explained why bastards of nobles were being used as cannon fodder.
In witch elf society only the top males reproduce. These warlords have lots of wealth amassed from military campains.
As a result they attract numerous young elf women which are impregnated by the warlord. The warlord decides who inherits his position by ranking the women in his harem. the eldest son of the 1st ranked in the harem becomes next in line to the warlords wealth. If the eldest dies then it is the next from the 1st ranked in the harem. If the offspring of the first ranked ranked all die then it defaults to the eldest of the 2ndranked.
The women birthed are used as bargaining chips in the political games of houses with many smaller houses only existing as factories, providing the best women to fill the harems of larger noble houses. The rest are given amongst smaller houses. If a woman turned out to be infertile or worse diobediant then she would be employed at a brothel owned by the noble house.
And THIS is where the bastards come from.

In contrast young men who werent going to inherit anything- were screwed with no choice but to attempt to become a warlord. Or work for their father in return for a set wage and use of some slaves or succubi if they served the warlord well enough. Disobediant sons & Half Elves were sold as slaves or into mercenary companies.

Beautiful jade cliffs and mountains surrounded by pristine cascades and red leaved trees are scattered around the landscape north of the Kinnog jungle.

These mountains house many monasteries and temples, called the SonQo temples, built by monks who worship the god Doken, the first monk of these mountains that ascended to divinity through meditation and prayer (according to them, atleast).

In their quest for immortality and godhood, however, the SonQo monks have gone mad, their minds and bodies infested by centipede parasites, which they imported from a mad Elyrian smuggler in Moreelse.

The only sane residents of these temples are dwarves that were brought as manual labourers from Kinnog. They now occupy 3 of the 40-50 temples and monasteries scattered around the land, guarding them from the mad monks, and refusing to leave for their home, as they've now adopted the worship of Doken, although in a different way.

Part 2.5: My time in the Western Dragons
I Inquired why the society hadnt collapsed...
Melrek told me that "This is what you humans dont understand, pity is blight, Witch Elf women cannot stand weak witch elf men and love to be dominated by strong men. This is what pushes our empire foraward"

"Is there any way to become and Honorary
Noble"
Melzek Laughed at this at the time and said "Fat chance youde become one"

Melzeks descriptions had lit a fire in my heart however... the more days passed the more my I hungered to become powerful within this strange empire...

The elfwood elves just seem a bit too different from the rest for them all to be related, and I didn't want a weird discussion on why some elves have "normal" sex and some don't.

Plus drow are pretty popular, so I wanted people to have the option of picking between several different types of common drow tropes and doing their own thing, particularly if we ever get around to the underground map.

My idea was that elves come in stages.

The Elfwood elves would be the progenitor elves high-elves mixed with wood-elf. ALl other elves would be bastard races which can both reproduce trough mind-merging and normal sex and trough mixing with various races you got the 3 known subraces but i did not have the time to write that so i guess your thing holds.

Lo and behold, this is the land inhabited by the Aruandans, a promised land nown as "Nosso Lar", as stated in their religion. These feather wearing, dark skinned tribal people used to live to the north of the peninsula, but when Renne, the exiled Azanneese princess, landed with her exile army, they got conquered and subjugated.

That changed when Candomblé, their shaman elder, started a slave rebellion in the city of Moridan, leading his people to the subtropical lands to the south. Having somewhat rebuilt their society, they plan on reclaiming their ancestral home.

It's said that an Azanneese envoy has landed in Nosso Lar, supplying the locals with arms and spies against the Blind Bastard.

Across the lands, and nearly all cultures, there is a similar tale shared among them. The details differ- sometimes its a curse, tied to a specific region. Other times, a petty, vindictive God, or ancient malfunctioning magic spell. But what it does is always the same: any instance the words "dungeons and dragons" invariably results in the speaker or writer's death within five days, always by polygonal rocks that fall from above. Indeed, in writing the phrase here I had to sacrifice an ill servant, already on death's door, to record the information here. He was crushed by rocks, falling through the ceiling above despite the attic being empty, mere seconds after completing the phrase.
As the people's of this land are diverse, so too are their methods of subverting this phenomenon. The most common way is to simply not say it- the phrase isn't exactly a commonly used one- but for adventurers who must discuss it, the phrase "dungeons with dragons" is popular in many cultures, languages and regions. Several, including the gnolls, simply flip the order- dragons and dungeons bypasses the lethal smiting effect just fine.
In this essay we will discuss the cultural effects of this, and other, strange supernatural forces.
joking of course... unless...?

So, what about the climate of the world? I'm pretty confused.

The north generally seems to be rich in volcanic activity and pretty cold, although there's a desert canyon in the middle of the northern island, and the marquisates are pretty mild, it seems.

The southern lands seem pretty hot and humid, with savannahs, tropical islands and jungles.

The eastern sea also seems pretty cold and rainy.

Fairies are a race of small, flying, insect-like humanoids. An adult fairy is about the size of an index finger. They build their cities high in the forks of old trees that at first glance resemble clusters of large hornets' nests. There is much romantic literature about what fairies are, devious but lovable tricksters, little nature spirits who grant wishes, supernatural beings who kidnap children. Most of these stories are flat out false, in truth fairies are far bigger, to put it bluntly, assholes. Fairies take great delight in tormenting people, seeing them cry and hearing them scream in pain. Similar to their fellow insectoids, they are completely callous, with the exception of an intense need for revenge and an ardent sadism. The fairies' weapon of choice are long thorns, needles or nails, which they steal from households and use them preferably to stab at their mostly completely innocent victims' eyes. They don't need any motivation to attack or even kill - they do it for their amusement. A single fairy may be beaten to mud with a strong smack of a flat hand, but it can already cause quite a bit of damage if unnoticed. A slashed throat there, a gouged out eye here. All of these are risks to be prepared for when traversing the Fairy Woods. However, fairies become a real threat when they appear in swarms. Should you encounter such an angry, humming cloud, all that remains is prayer or, preferably, an extremely fast horse. Don't let their pretty wings fool you, as I said a swarm of fairies does not need a tangible reason to turn you into a bleeding and twitching piece of raw meat, the sheer fun of it is more than enough reason for them to murder.

>Elves

A wide range of pointy eared humanoid races are rather lazily stuck with the name “elf”, but in fact the term refers to several unrelated races.

Some of them, like the drow, and their cousins the sea elves, descend from migrants from other planes.

Others are native races (at least partially so), and trace their origin to the primal elves, also known as the wood elves, primordial elves, etc.

The primal elves are (to human eyes) genderless, fey, and unworldly. They reproduce via seeds, and sometimes revert to a more tree-like state. They are generally believed to be cousins of other fey creatures like brownies, gnomes, and hags.

However, even more so than other fey, primal elves have a strange ability to mate with almost anything, creating a bewildering array of potential mixed raced individuals and cultures, including stripped drow, witch-elves, cow elves, dryads, fairy orcs, mer-elves, crab-elves, gypsy elves, half-breeds, gutter elves, uohs, Hy-Byerian elves, and rock elves.

Unfortunately, the two most famous “elf” races, the drow and the witch-elves are widely considered to be evil, and thus some cultures consider all elves to be evil.

I don't know if you're talking specifically for the Furlaniya city-states, but some other people have mentioned mercenaries before.

>Nemir mercenaries of the Corteau Canyon

>Dwarven mercenaries of Gautlan
https://crumbling-giantstep.fandom.com/wiki/Gautl%C3%A4n
>Although not really mercenaries, the Iustus Valpana are demon vigilantes whose fate is unknown, I guess you could expand the lore that they get hired as mercenaries by the people around the breaches, to get rid of the demons
https://crumbling-giantstep.fandom.com/wiki/Aquilea_and_Caprea

Although I'm not the original author of these, I'll try to come up with names, and the authors can change it if they want..

For the Nemir, I'd go with Immortals of the Desert, because the masks they wear remind me of the immortals from 300

For the Dwarves, I'd call one of those companies the Azure Seneschals, as the dwarven princes were onces under the Azure throne of Azan.

>Excerpt taken from the Journal of Eugen Lennhart, scholar at the Citadel of Hithlone.

After all my travels throughout the known world, I can say with certainty that I've never witnessed a more wicked disease than the Wither.

I was aboard a merchant cog headed from the steppes of the famed Zulutaurs to the Kingdom of Lorient. In order to avoid the pirates of the maneater islands, Captain Sargasso took the decision to anchor at the city of War-Wel, at the Island of Tears.

It's important to note that War-Wel was a colony that was set up by the exiled Azaneese people that live west to the land of the ants. Their intent was building a base to explore the vast southern jungles, since traversing them by land was nigh impossible. When our sails first took wind, it was but a few months old. They had emptied the slave pits of Moridan to help them build the colony at the fringes of a rainforest.

When we approached the settlement, we were welcomed with scenes of horror. Two of the mercenaries passed out from the stench that came out of the huts, and I was forced to wear my mask in order not to puke all over.

The corpses were all over the colony. Out on the streets, inside the huts, in the river, under the shade of palm trees. Swarthy people of the savannah, Azaneese, Zulutaurs and even the Ra'Ga crabs had succumbed to the illness all the same.

Some of the corpses that I examined were only a few weeks old, but most were recent. A few, even, were still alive - if one could call it that - at the time, but even those showed the same symptoms of the Wither as the rest.
>>
>>84869480
I have an alternative idea here, based on the 4 corner division of the continent:

Not sure if the zulutaur should belong into the coast or the steppe, or what to do with the forest of getting lost.

The men that we examined... it pains me even to recollect these memories in this journal, but as I am the only remaining survivor of this expedition, it shall act as a heed of warning.

Their bones had rotted away, their jaws were as if they were crushed under immense weight and their muscles were in a state of constant contraction, rendering movement extremely difficult. Their teeth and nails turned black, falling off eventually. Every orifice of their body was filled with pus and flesh eating maggots.

One of the corspes that we found in the colonial offices - as we later found out - belonged to a man no older than 30 years old. If it weren't for his journal, it'd be impossible to believe. The man was dead less than 24 hours, but his appearance was that of a 80 year old elder. A husk of a man he had turned, it horrified me to a point of no return.

It pains me to say that I did something that no doctor should ever be forced to do.. I had to take away of the poor sods that were still breathing. It was an act of mercy, not one of cruelty. Then, the mercenaries torched the place as we departed, never setting our eyes in that godsforsaking colony again.

What really intrigued me, however, was a discovery I made no less than a week ago, 13 years after the incident I just described. I dusted off an old journal I never got the chance of reading during my short time in War-Wel. It was written by an Azanneese officer.

As it turns out, the last batch of slaves headed from the Blind Bastard's Domain to the southern jungle, instead of the Savannah, as it normally did, due to unknown circumstances. The colonists came in contact when they were attacked by an odd ape-like specimen while in the jungle, much larger and ferocious than the ones called the "Hog Men".

It is my observation that this contact is what caused the outbreak of the "Wither" in the colony of War-Wel. I greatly advise any sane man to avoid these hellish jungles at all costs.
>>
>>84869833
I like this one the most, I'd only rename the steppes (I think the southern wilds fits better) and include the eastern end of the land there instead of cutting it off in the middle (it triggers my autism).

Kinnog and Orc'eire were supposed to be jungle (also at least some of the drow cities)

Could we at least make them temperate areas?

The island north to Cerato (rich villa island of the hithlone aristocrats) is a huge plantation, property of House Mutiris and ran by Koman Mutiris, nobleman whose brother is the head of the Hithlone council.

Cultivating imported banana trees and exotic farm animals, it's inhabited by many hobbit, dwarven and troll slaves. Many suspect that there's an underground smuggling operation ongoing, with the Harpy's Eyes syndicate paying Koman to push the White Death narcotic towards Hithlone and Azan.

Seconded, specially considering that half the land in that area is jungle and marshes, not steppe.

Wilds gives the wrong impression, the gokmavi alone have several different cities and capitals. Maybe something related to the large amount of mounted tribes there?

The inhospitable jungle could go to the south east, since it is horribly deadly like most things there are.

The issue is that the south-east is hot while the north-east is cold, so it's kinda hard to justify making the Adamantine lands hot too without making it so that the entirety of the Western coast is subtropical too. That would essentially amount to making the temperature axis into: SW hot -> NE cold, on an angle.
To be fair, at first the idea was for the far south to be a cold wasteland, you can see that reflected in the lore for Asvaran. It was retconned into a jungle with the War-wel city lore I believe.

>Daligrad Province

The rural area surrounding Daligrad is a mix of coastal swamps and bogs.

Essentially lawless due to the lack of interest in Daligrad itself in protecting their outlining districts, Daligrad Province is underpopulated, though not empty.

Risk taking homesteaders drawn by dirt cheap land are scattered throughout the region, and some last generations before they get raided by ogres or hags. However, the hamlets and villages are usually clustered near the homes of local power brokers, whether it be a wealthy city dweller’s villa, a retired mercenary officer, or a crime syndicate’s rural stronghold.

(located around Daligrad, once it gets added to the map)

DARK DEALINGS (3)
Korodir "The Unshakeable" Damuz
Part 3: Escape!
Before heading to the bog witches domain the Dragons decided to travel to Anghest, a witch elf city in the north western part of the empire. The officers wanted some extra fodder.

We traveled for seven days, resting in the jagged and thick forests. On the fourth day we found the remains of an old road leading to Anghest. By the 6th and 7th day it was clear we were nearing the empire. We would hear distant rumblings of earth from the Gommorah Breach. The sky was grey and overcast, sometmes bursting into drizzle. When the sun did reveal itself it brung no warmth.

We finally arrived at anghest making a large camp half a kilometre outside the city.
It had no walls. slums sprawled outwards and from them dark towers, ziggurats and manors rose made from blackend bricks. In the centre of Anghest a large cathedral like structure dominated the rest of the city.

Melzek and I enetered the city as a bodyguard to a pair of officers. We were headed to the manor of a noble to purchase more foot soldiers. The manor opened new corridors of yearning in my soul seeing the slaves in its lavish halls. When we met with the noble the desire became clear. He was sitting at a large table surrounded by seven beautiful witch elf women, hardly clothed apart from transparant silks. The noble wore a black and gold suit with frilled collars. The officers bargained for a price with him. they bought 10 half-elves for 50 pieces of gold.

Wanting to celebrate their purchase the officers went to a local brothel and told us to wait inthe bar while they headed upstairs. 4 other bodyguards were with us, they were from an elite well payed unit. Using the experience I gained on the streets of Oront I pickpocketed one and used the peices of silvers to pay for erotic dances in the secluded booths for each of the soldiers. I turned to Melzek.

"Want to get the fuck out of here?"

Lust and Gluttony are both kinds ofintemperance or simply "desire", but gluttony interacts with the outside, the physical, and in a way that is entropic. Lust, by comparison, partakes in something, has a larger "mental" dimension, and is either neutral or creative.

Ok, so about the weather.

So we're still working under the assumption that the world is flat. Right, so we can't really use an Earth-like climate system, since the climate comes from the activity of the sun, Earth's position and rotation... So we have to find two things before starting:

-How does the day night cycle works?
-How does the Sun's light cover the land?
-Do we have seasons?
-How does the sea currents work?
-How does the water cycle work?
-Do we have a finite amount of water, or does it spontaneously appear from one border of the world and then gets swallowed by the Nothingness?
-How does the air currents work?

Do we follow something realisting? Or do we go with the "just magic" and make everything just because?
>>
Also, outside of the weather system, we still need many things.
-Physical map
-Political map with cities, nation's capitals, main roads and trade routes
-The lore doc (mostly covered by the wiki, link is here https://crumbling-giantstep.fandom.com/wiki/Crumbling_Giantstep_Wiki)

A the furthest point of the Peacock Ogre habitat lies the land of the Lord who had COmeth from the Sky. In the twilight less than 4 decades ago a grand knocking echoed trough the world.

A knocking seemingly coming from everywhere all at once, causing many to go deaf, then it stopped. Only the people of the penisulla know what happened for the lord had cometh, shards of reality itself had reigned onto the ground and out of a great hole in the sky he merely started at them.

He was appeased by sacrifice and if pleased sufficiently he'd knock more chunks of reality out giving them as gifts to the local to fashion glass-looking weapons and armor out of.

No one knows what will happen once the lord finally chooses to descend onto the mortal plain, but a grand staircase is being built so that if he one day chooses to do so he may do so comfortably and hopefully spares his devoted servants.

The Kingdom of the Erlking lies next to the Kingdom of the Red Queen. Similar to the swamp witch, he is a demigod with magical abilities. He likes to steal children and replaces them with ugly changelings, can appear as an invisible forest spirit, transform into bears, wolves, deer and other forest dwellers, can cast all kinds of druid spells, control plants, thorns and trees in a magical way. His forest people are made up of the Erlen, a species of elves who resemble the elves of fairy tales and folklore and can be roughly described as cunning forest spirits who ride deer and are supernaturally skilled with bows and arrows. If they don't want to be seen, they can move around the forest completely silently and invisibly. Also part of his forest state are fairies, sprites, talking intelligent animals, dryads, nymphs and not!ents. His forest kingdom can only be reached through three magical portals. A magical witch circle made of mushrooms, an ancient stone circle and an enchanted lake where unicorns live. At least one arrowhead is pointed at anyone entering his forest without permission at all times, and even a trampled seedling can result in it being fired.

Misty Isle? No one goes there. Not unless you want to drown. Razor reefs will cut your ship to splinters, and that's if you can even get that far through the damn mists. Even on the clearest day it seems to come out of nowhere, soon as you get with eye sight o' the place.

Ol' Derrig says he's been there, but these days he spends more time in his cups than on the waters. Says he was out on a whalers ship, chasing down a right big bastard. They had the hooks in 'em, and it was bleeding something awful, but this boy was big. Big 'n' mean. Dragged that ship straight toward the isle. That ship never came back, that's a fact. But Derrig says he washed ashore. On Misty Fucking Isle.

Now here, if you pardon my pun, is where the story gets foggy. Sailors that get in wrecks seldom come back alive, and when they do, well, y'know how it goes. Anyway, Derrig says he washes ashore. Says the island don't look like it belongs in them there seas. Says he walked the beach until he saw these pretty structures, look like none made by the hands o' men. Almost as if they had been grown out of the rock and trees around them. He also says he met 'em. One of them mistfolk.

Derrig said they got a strangeness to 'em. The way they look. The way they move. Uncanny like. Not like normal folk. Slow. Deliberate. He says the one he saw came over to him. An old man, an elder. Had markings on his face. He looks at Derrig, and looks back to the town. Beckons Derrig to follow. Brings him just outside the place, right at the walls, to small dock where a little wooden boat was floating in the water. Motions to get in. Derrig does. Now the next part sounds like nonsense to me, but he says the old man leans down, and whispers something under his breath. Derrig swears he wasn't talking to him. He was talking to the water. And wouldn't you know it, the boat starts moving. On its own! Takes him right back to our dock it did. But that's he says, and he's in his cups more than on the water.

I really don't like the extra landmasses we'll end up with a mess like the "/tg/ makes a setting with pictures' where the original continent the setting started with was so tiny by the end that random giant empires with 0 fluff were bigger than it by the end of the thing.

Between the Nasr Satrapies and the Kingdom of Lorient is the Lemon Kingdom, which is actually not a kingdom anymore, but instead a vassal state of Lorient.

Its nicknamed for the lemon trees of this rich, fertile land. It's home to the most famous cuisine in the West, their seafood and duck recipes known all over the world. It's said that the Glutton God himself hired three cooks from the Lemon Kingdom to build his island of Gluttony.
>>
>>84876497
>>84876509
>>84876467
imho the problem with making a new landmass are several:
1. It's an incremental problem. At one point it has to stop, because if every other posts creates a new continent the map will end up looking like cluttered shit. Having wide oceans is good.
2. There are still several unclaimed blank lands in the main continent.
3. It breaks continuity as previous design elements were made with the assumption that there was nothing but water there.
4. It leads to isolated design. The objective should be for the lore of all these lands to be interconnected and reference each other.
>>
>>84876577
There are already more than one anons who added lore to the continent so maybe don't be so neurotic about a made up fantasy setting people where having fun with until you showed up and diluted the thread into rules discussion.
>>
>>84876709
And yet, none of the dozen people who added lore to the continent added their own landmasses and instead worked their lore around the already established neighboring nations. Why couldn't you?

And the Not!Russia continent was made up like 50 posts into the first thread, don't pretend it's the same as you adding a new landmass when 80% of the continent is already filled in
>>
>>84876705
just ignore that guy. it seem s like nobody has an issue with not adding new landmass just let them have the two additional continents and let's get back to filling the blanks. its getting a little annoying. no more continents from now on. easy as that
>>
>>84876730

The Kingdom of Drunigzar is a mostly barren land. While not particularly mountanous, the poor quality of the soil makes it quite difficult to grow food, even with modern technologies and crop varieties from the north. Thus, Drunigzar has always had a very small population, constantly tethering at the brink of poverty.

However, from many centuries, the drunigzarians have been a resourceful people, and the Sea of the South East, filled with treasure and danger, was seen as the only real chance for many families to avoid starvation. Thus, the crown has funded hundreds of exploration and trade voyages, with the result being an exponential growth of the drunigzarian economy. Even more important, the excess population, which their poor birth lands couldn't mantain, found a new hope in the many colonies created to the south of the kingdom, even reaching the near edge of the world.

The drunigzarian economy depends on trade, all kinds of trade, from food and medicine to slavery and drugs, there's not a single market they won't leave untapped. It is rumoured they are one of the main powers behind several of the expansionist houses in Nogar, since a war between the Gnolls and the nogarese wanting to reclaim their old lands would be a wonderful chance to open a war market, and trade weapons, mercenaries and other resources to both sides for as long as possible.

finally some coherent suggestions

I'll guess I'll drop mine too

Here is the land of the Runaan. This is a harsh, volcanic land with the scorching ash dotted by rocky outcrops and yawning chasms. There are skeletons of huge dragonic creatures scattered all around.

The "ashland desert" looks hellish at first sight. However, beneath the barren, lifeless surface is a vast tunnel and cave system that delves deep into the rocky under-layers, making it the only way to cross this land into the Seltovia Freestate.

The Runaan are a most savage tribe that detest sunlight, making their homes out of the labyrinthian caves deep in their volcanic lands. They are a tall, carnivorous, bipedal reptile species. Their scales are hard as rock, making most physical attacks against them pointless. The Runaan also like making crude jokes with their victims, despite not being a talkative bunch.

The Runaan have come up with a self-made security system - gongs are scattered around their caves, and when rang, they indicate the presence of intruders. When the Werewolf kind of Ketlovia migrated to the east, fleeing the mighty Gnolls, many of them fell prey while crossing the ashlands, still being kept as slaves deep in the Runaan dungeons.

They are ruled by a high king and worship a god known as Leptys, who is referred to as ‘bringer of night’ and ‘father of the Runaan people’, and appears in the form of a great bird.

The only hospitable part of the ashlands is its southern coast, where a small colony of Drunigzarians have set up a small colony.

The Red Lotus Congregation is a recently created federation, founded around the Cult of the Lotus' Great Priest Dihong Xinjianng. After an apparent fatal accident, Xinjianng claimed to have received a vision from the "Great and Holy Celestial Father of All", which told him he was to be the Great Leader of Men to "unify all there is and will be in His name". After decades of preaching and manipulating the poor and the distraught in the Changrila Empire, he rose up against the God-Emperor in a bloody civil war that took decades to suffocate. The defeat of Xinjianng was not total, however, since he managed to escape with thousands of his loyal followers to the abandoned shores south east of the Cornfloor Peninsula. There, he built a dark replica of the Changrila Empire, with all free will extriped from the population by exhausting cult activity and the Holy Guard, the main arm of the Church that looks after any threat against the now ancient Great Leader and the Father of All.

The area is notorious for the Kihn Hee Palm Grove, a massive extension of coconut trees said to have been planted by the second God-Emperor of Changrila (despite Xinjianng's followers affirming that it was planted by Xinjianng's predecessors).
