>It's 100% contraband, but Vei needs psykers for their new astronomica. m
Maybe the noble house we ruled up, House Solan the shady bastards that want to get back into power are the ones shipping it?
They do have a good relationship with the Adminstratum, they're well trusted and respected, AND they have science as part of their background.

Welcome back to the gonzo system of Vei, where the planets are hot and the wars are cold. We'll be tying some of the threads together that the various planets have given us, and seeing what the Eldar and Phrax are up to.
>>
>>89956445
Contraband and a hive planet gives us a good place to start by creating an underhive gang, but considering the way Vei-8 is inhabited, this is technically an overhive gang--the spires are built down into the planet here. Let's see how this gang works with House Solan--could predate them, could be a branch house, could be that both are trying to use the other to come out on top. They could even be friends, Vei-8 is weird like that. Let's get a d10 to start.
>>
Rolled 8 (1d10)

>>89956497
>>89956445
Glad we're carrying this on, the last two threads have been great. An "overhive" gang is a cool idea.
Just out of curiosity, is there a gang leader section on the table? If not we should create one, give House Solan someone to either work with, for, or maybe against.
I'm sure in true Vei fashion that none of this will make any sense until 300 posts in.
>>
>>89956445
>where the planets are hot and the wars are cold.
And the air is tainted.
>>
>>89956614
You know, we could bootstrap something from either Lost and Damned or the Chaos warband table, and then see if we want to file the Chaos stuff off. Or leave it there.
>>
>>89956614
When did the House rise to power?
Late M41 - The House arose within in the last few centuries. Barring disaster, your House likely still exists and holds power and respect in its Hive.

The system is old, but the power players are new. Who swept the board beforehand?

How strong is the House? (d10)
>>
Rolled 4 (1d10)

>>89956871
>>
>>89956901
Weak - The House is at a disadvantage compared to its peers, though it continues to hold its own.

Every power needs everyone else. When you can't be strong, you have to be clever, and when you can't be clever, you have to be first.

In what region is the House's power most evident? (d10)
>>
>>89956928
I am guessing the peers would be the private security the other rich scions use. Everyone's fighting for the table scraps of the military-industrial complex with what they can scrape together.
>>
>>89956871
>>89932384
House Solan also arose during the Time of Waning. Reminder that House Solan has ties to a Space Marine chapter, probably the Death Spectres if this system is near the Ghoul Stars. But anything can be rolled for.
>>
>>89956860
Not sure, looking at the chaos warband table I think it could work but we'd have to rewrite most of it to actually suit, and like you said probably remove the chaos stuff. I think we just roll the gang up and see where we can go from there. Unless someone has a fitting idea for a boss then we can just go with that.
>>89956973
yeah an anon in the last thread suggested the Death Specters so I agree with that
>>89926557
our inquisitor also had a space marine chapter as one of his buddies, most likely it would be the same chapter.

Influence - It's not what you know, it's who you know. This House knows how to make friends, and can command a good deal of influence throughout the Hive.

So House Solan and the Overhive Gang know they need each other, and use each other's connections to ensure things run smoothly. Apparently Vei is far enough from the Imperial Core that competence and common sense aren't stangled in the crib.

Who holds positions of power in the House? (d10)

Vei is just one huge incomprehensible mess. I doubt any of the chapters have an actual presence on Vei.
Maybe it's a Death Specters Kill-team sent to Vei. We've got the Eldar, Pharx/Phrax, and who knows what else the Inquisitor gets up to. It's not too far of a stretch to say the Inquisitor and House Solan are working alongside them, sifting out xenos artefacts and keeping the xenos in check.

Female-aligned - Women hold most of the power in this House, but not all, with those men who excel able to become gangers or even leaders.

Interesting. Would be a fun necromunda team to kitbash. We can probably skip which hive they operate in, since we want them close to House Solan.

In which industry does the House operate? (d100). Smuggling and drugs, but let's see if there's a more respectable front the public sees and knows.

Ha. It IS Coco Chanel. She had ties to the British ruling family. And she was also a spy for the Abwehr. And maybe a double agent for the crown--not for idealistic reasons, Churchill used her to try to save the property of the British nobles that was on continental Europe during the war. Interesting lady. Bit of a bastard. Grew up extremely poor in France and clawed her way up to living in luxury while Paris was occupied. Perfect for hiver scum.

How does the House appoint its leaders? (d10)
>>
>>89957467
I know it might be overcomplicating things, but I suggested in either the first or last thread that due to the heat, the Hive is based only at the two poles, it could be that there are 2 main hubs (with the tunnel and cave system connecting them. Of course they could be ruling over both, but just throwing that out there.
I'm liking them so far, pretty weak but the same goes for House Solan, and like you said

Personal gain over all else, but she's also a formidable warrior.. Khorne or Tzeench? I don't know that she really goes all in on either of those two. Advanced: Have access to limited or developing technology. In the Imperium of Man only the greatest hive worlds and forge worlds have this level of technology. Although it wouldn't be surprising if some Inquisitors, who at least can be trusted to not fuck up all the time by both their fellows and the Mechanicus, have a planet or two that run an actual research facility that legitimately researches new technology. Extremely advanced weapons and armour are available in this planet and its manufactora can produce some of the most demanding (and commensurately deadly) weapons available to mankind. Such weapons can include graviton/grav weapons, conversion beam weapons, photon-thruster weapons and ordnance special even for being Titan or Voidship grade. At its peak, the deadly Vortex weapons that tear open holes in reality can even be produced, but such materials need to be handled with extreme care. Further, who knows what manner of technological horrors a planet so blessed to have survived the Iron War, the Age of Strife, the Great Crusade, the Horus Heresy and the Long War so unusually intact, or at least was able to rebuild may contain?

Now we can fuck some shit up! We found out how Vei-8 is so over-armed and armored.

>Adminstratum (10): Small. Involved, but quietly and unobtrusively.
>Arbites (9): Slight. Specific duties; not involved in wider planetary affairs.
>Astra Telepathica (3): None
>Astronomica (2): None
>Mechanicus (16): Notable. A powerful force in its own area of the planet.
> Ministorum (1): None
>Inquisiton(1): None

So, fittingly, the Mechanicus are the most powerful force on the planet.
Administratum have a small presence, likely struggling to keep up with requisition orders for anything the Tech-Priests can't make themselves.
And just like Vei, the Arbites have a decent, if small presence on the moon. Being the third largest force.
With the Astra Telepathica, Astronomica, Ministorum and Inquisition having no presence at all on the moon.
What do Tech-Priests get up to when they don't have much oversight I wonder?

Yeah keeping them around Vei would be best.
I'm in the process of trying to make a system map, just hope this thread doesn't go down until I finish it. It may not be worth the hassle or be accurate but I'll see what I can come up with

So what’s the next roll for the Forge World?

Okay so
>>89964963
this anon again, (not OP) got a small work up of a system, its missing most of the planets, moons, designations and the showing of any of the anomalies, and it isn't at all to scale as I had trouble deciding if the planets would be in a figure-8 orbit around both suns, or a single orbit around one, I chose to split the imperium and the pharx between the two dying suns, makes it easier on me. I only chose the Vidar sector as it made more sense than Thalassi, but still not great. The most fitting for people wanting it close to both the Ghoul Stars and Exodite Worlds, if anyone wants to change it let me know, and we need a name for the subsector if anyone wants to suggest something.

Small update to the system, some planet names would be handy if anyone wants to suggest anything for any. Trying to show anomalies, graveyards, space debris/asteroid clusters is difficult working at this scale

that's a good idea anon, not sure if anyone has started doing that yet, got my hands full with the map just now or I'd do it myself

>>89966101
Partly just google images, but for the planets (which is actually really cool as you can edit them how you like) is a website called Planetmaker that I just found when I got the idea to make a system, the rest is just photoshop, but I have VERY limited knowledge of it so its a bit of a mess and taking a while

Vei-planet designator could be the High Gothic names for them. We can give descriptors in Low Gothic, and to make remembering which is which easier.

For the feudal planet, Vei-# (Çorak)? It's Turkish for "wasteland".

Okay, I think this is all I can do for now. Not sure what else I can add, some worlds like the cold world don't really have any lore, no alien/human presence either so I can't fill any info out
Also I chose Vei-6 as the Hot World for the anon that wanted an avatar of Khaine
>>89966316
added Çorak as the Feudal world
If anyone else has names for any of these planets suggest away and I'll add it in, its the little details that make the system more alive.
Found a place for the craftworld, not happy with it being that close to the xenos world but I'm running out of space

Sorry anon I forgot to actually acknowledge the high gothic part of your comment. We could do a straight translate for the planets
"Feudal World" in latin would be "Mundus Feudalis"
"Cold World" would be "Frigus Orbis Terrarum"
"Hive World" would be "Alveare Mundus"
Obviously high gothic isn't just latin 1:1 but it's the closest we can get I think
They're a bit impersonal and wordy, not sure if I'm a fan but it's something
Anyway I think I'm done for the night, have a good one anons, hope you all get to roll soon
>>
>>89967086
There could be two types of names
For example, make it be Vei-8, but everyone calls it Alveare, Vei-9 know as Frigus, Vei-7 knows as Feudalis (or Çorak by the locals)
>>
>>89966953
The craftworld could be hidden in the midspaceship graveyard.

So keeping the theme of Al- prefixes I've come up with
Al-Ube for the Gas giant "Ube" being miasma as Latin doesn't have a word for Gas and its the nearest thing I could think of
Al-Malleator for the Forge world, "Malleator" being Forge in Latin
Al-Duratus for the Cold world, "Duratus" being "freeze" in latin
Al-Calidum for the Hot world, "Calidum" being "Hot" in latin
Al-Externus for the Xenos world "Externus" being "outsider" in latin, best I could come up with. None of these are set in stone, if anyone has a suggestion I'll add it

I kept Vei to just "Veire", the only two planets that have non Al- prefix names are the two that are actually inhabited by the Imperium (so far) and I like that

>Private armies.
Due to the material bounty in the Vei system, the noble houses and assorted highborn have traditionally held private armies, especially on Veire, which acts as the Capital planet for the system.
This was, in the past, a way of ensuring ones interests and stability of business. However, as the years wore on, and more businesses were absorbed by the Imperium proper, the need for these private military forces grew thin, with the vast majority being absorbed into the Veire defense force. The PDF covered the most major of issues and requirements, and anything they could not, the burgeoning militia forces could.
However, as the spirit of the people tends to be a warlike one, the tradition of private armies persists still, among those with enough wealth, or charisma to raise such a force. Highborn that trail a company of garishly dressed soldiery, wealthy officials with their own private details, hivers with delusions of grandeur, and simple folk who want to join the militia, but don't like all the standards.
One of the largest single PMC bodies belongs to the administratum for the Vei system, to enforce and ensure that the relatively small body's interests are maintained. It features two battalions (nicknamed "the pencil pushers" and "the errand boys") of volunteer scribes, six chimera transports, two leman russ tanks, and most notably, one Mole subterranean transport, which feature greatly in Veire's engineering. However being isolated from the knowledge and military traditions of the myriad forces, plus the fact that the Regiment is used as much as a work force as a fighting one (hence the nicknames), leads their martial quality to be poor.

Felt like doing some writefaggotry

Mordecai Hexmata stared upwards, amidst twisting metal spires, walkways and monorails was a large, flat landing pad, that jutted out from the cavern wall, supported by heavy plasteel girders and pillars. His light blue robes swayed in the wind caused by the heat vent that littered the ceilings, a vital aperatus to keep the underground hivesprawls of Veire cool enough to support human life, as the surface was a blasted hellscape that few ventured out on.
He clutched the golden pendant that hung around his neck, it was the shape of a man holding two thunderbolts, the iconography of the Church of the Lightning Lord, the ecclesiastical branch of the Imperial Cult that had sprung up in the strata Mordecai grew up in.
He had joined the church at an early age, as he saw the fate of his older brothers that had worked in the many harsh manufactorums since their tweens, all now broken men, or dead.
He kept on walking through the bustling streets of Hive Novum, a smaller hive occupying only a handful of caverns on the planet. His goal was the aforementioned landing pad, as he only a week prior had received the honor of going off world, to spread the word of the Lightning Lord, the God Emperor to the savages on Corak.
As he made his way through the streets he saw people shuffling about, some paying him no heed, some parting way and bowing their heads to him. As he came closer and closer to the landing pad he could feel the occasional rush of hot air, blowing his short raven black hair back with each gust. Looking up he could see where the rush of air came from; large sluice like bulkheads were opening to let more than over a hundred smaller ships in and out of this port at a time, keeping the boiling atmosphere away from the underground hive cities. Mordercai spotted everything from standard Arvus transports, to mechanicus haulers, to Valkyries belonging to many of the private armies that call Veire and Hive Novum home.

After standing in like for what felt like an eternity his ticket was finally scanned and stamped by the clerk servitor manning one of the many booths for the outgoing passengers and cargo.
Mordercai clutched the ticket in his pale hands, he knew many would kill for a ticket like this as this place, this world made livable by the Emperors servants was a blessing, but those who had a chance to leave it, always did.
As he was ushered into another line by a burly man clad in flak, he took up his holy book to read the passages in it to pass the time. He only glanced up as when he saw or heard something that drew him out of it. Like a member of one of the private armies getting into a scuffle with a port guard, or when a woman was dragged off for having a forged ticket, one of the worst non heretical crimes in this strata.
Yet Mordercai persisted as he stuffed his holy scriptures away when he was told by a loudspeaker that his ticket number were up next and he, alongside several hundred others were ushered to a large, ugly and weathered bulk hauler that had been modified to ferry passengers instead of cargo. As he climbed the boarding ramp he looked back at the mess of metal, darkness and heat before gazing forward, leaving this world behind forever. He took one last lungful of air as a small gesture while the ramp closed and the ship started to take off, ferrying him to the transport ship headed for Corak

>2/2

I am not the best writer, but I wanted to make a more "down to earth" type of story about a slice of everyday life in the hive cities on Veire, along with localized variations of the Imperial Cult and so on as those things would develop over time all across the Imperium.

These especially, really sells the atmosphere of Veire as a whole and the desperation of the average citizen
>>
>The Imperator walked through the rain, and the ground trembled.
>It was one of the few things that could walk outside, truly walk. Even the marines of the Death Spectres chapter had struggled to remain above ground for extended periods.
>The Princeps watched, dispassionately, as ground, baked into stone, cracked under his footfalls. The temperature gauges indicated the exterior hull was sitting at two hundred and eighty two degrees. He'd seen that gauge climb higher still, if his patrol took him further south, where the storms kicked up glass and dust into palls that stretched kilometers over even his tallest spires.
>That dust could strip flesh from bones as fast as the most potent of manufactory acids, and it made a good go at his paint and oath parchments. Sometimes, the high energy fragments would share a charge, rubbing together to produce lightning storms. Other times, they'd catch a brief issue of oxygen or combustibles, and erupt in explosive flame.
>And yet, all was rain to him.
>So he walked.

>Veire was a hive world. But given its inhosbitable surface, it was in fact the interior, that played host to the teeming millions of humanity. 200,000,000, if one believed the reporting. He had no doubt there'd be more somewhere
>The only exceptions to this subterranean rule, were the two spires that stretched up from either pole, one of which he patrolled now. The other, was where his companion strode.
>Used for docking, cargo loading, and transporting on and off world, they were buried many kilometers deep in the earth, and stretched well up past the atmosphere, into the starry firmament.
>Though the Highborn tended to actually live deeper down, the better to escape the heat and the press of bodies, they still maintained good holding of these two great elevators. And their immense, black metal hulls, so thick even his guns would struggle to harm them appreciably, boggled the mind.
>>
>>89970214
>His God-Machine heart thrummed. It'd bestrode great battlefields in its time. Bought ruin to great legio's, fought alongside astartes, and covered itself, as with its companions, in glory on glory. Even among Imperator, it was an advanced, high performance beast. It did not mind its station, per se, but sometimes he chaffed at it.
>Perhaps, when the last mines run dry, and when the Imperium begins to take its tithes of bodies honestly, he might sally forth once again. Perhaps, given how many guns and ships and forces were in the system, Veire was destined to become a Fortress world.
>Perhaps, one day, another would come down to walk this inhospitable surface. Then, whatever would not fall beneath the rain, would fall beneath his guns.
>But for now, he walked.

Vei-10 is the second moon of Veire that we've not rolled up yet, still need to finish rolling up our artificial forge moon first

>I present the following planetary themes for your consideration
I think the first one is the vibe you'd get above ground flying around in a tricked out land speeder ramping it off the active volcanoes.
In the Hive proper, as the Ministorum is the dominating faction on Veire, Litanies would be piped into the tunnels, caverns and buildings and the odd weather forecast, "yep still 300°c outside, back to your regularly scheduled prayers".
Now, on the other pole with the Vei Ifrits gang, a strange mix of middle eastern and punk would take over. (Tried finding examples but unsurprisingly there aren't many)
I'll be away for 6+ hours then I might add a few more things to the map if this is still up later, and might take over finishing up rolling if nobody else has, so we can get the last few moons finished up. (The forge moon, second moon around Veire, and the two moons around the xenos planet) but if anyone else wants to instead please feel free, I know we're all eager to start rollin again

I'll give a try writing something as well.

Captain Fahil stood at attention besides madam Solan, keeping tight grip on his lasgun. They were on a ship running silently while parked on a rarely travelled to region of the system, between Al-Moriens and Al-Ardere. It was near one of the many spatial anomalies that covered the system, most specifically part of a dense cluster that surrounds Vei-2, colloquially called by the locals as The Veil. It served as a sort of space version of No-Man's Land in the cold war between the imperial trinity of the hive world of Veire, the forge moon of Malleator and the feudal world Corak against the Phrax xenos of Al-Externus.

The reason for being on that specific location was because they were on a very clandestine mission, one that would see everyone abord executed for treason by imperial law. They were going to trade with the Phrax. The xenos would tow the single, stripped vessel back to their shipyards to turn it into a small fleet, while House Solan would smuggle the diminutive ships in their cargo bay to study the modification that the aliens had made to be able to transverse Veil without being tore apart.

By all accounts, it was an uneven trade, favoring the xenos much more than humanity. Fahil was sure that even rogue traders would get into trouble if word got out, and House Solan did not have the kind of protection granted by a Warrant of Trade, even before their fall from grace. His thoughts then turned towards the other passengers, poor fools that either would keep their mouth shut for a bribe, or not missed by anyone if they disappeared. He would prefer to have brought a squad of capable and trusted men, but he was one of the very few of the old guard that did turn his backs on the family during these hard times.
>>
>>89973440
And how could he? Old lord Solan had not only saved his life, but also brought him out of the overhive, and eventually acknowledged his devotion and competency by making him his right hand man. Even if Fahi had not made an oath to serve House Solan to his least breath, he would still have stayed with them out of sheer loyalty towards the memory of that great man. If only his soul had been taken to the Stormy Halls one month earlier then it was, then perhaps everything would have been different. Instead of a newborn becoming the house's head, it would have been the heir that had been groomed for that role. One that wouldn't have repeatedly lost the elections, losing House Solan's powerbase. One that wouldn't have lost a potential upcoming and influential ally, by doing something stupid like breaking his arranged marriage with the Ifrit's leader Cha Connel for petty reasons!

He breathed in deeply. Keeping his mind focused on what ifs would only distract him from what he was here to do. The Lighting Lord works in mysterious ways, it is not the place of a lowly subject like him to question his plans. All that the madam needed to do is to finally find which part of the jury-rigged scraps was the ancient human technology that the filthy xenos stole from the wreckages, and travel within the system would no longer be such an ordeal. The influence gained from such discovery would surely place House Solan as the foremost scions of Vei, if not all of the Imperium! Let her younger brother be a failed politician, her current work is much more important then what she would have achieved as a mere spire governor. Well worth the price for a few decades of poverty and ridicule.
>>
>>89973445
A loud hiss came from the airlock in from of them opened, and soon marched a platoon of the xenos. In front was whatever passed as nobility for their misbegotten kind, flanked by lower class warriors, constantly biting and scratching each other, only kept barely in check by their officers. Bile rose up to his throat, the sight of how these creatures scurried with all their members on the floor and even walls reminded Fahil of the vermin he had to eat to survive in his youth, with the main difference being that when they occasionally stood up of their forelimbs and brandished their weapons they carried. This was far from the first time he had seem the Phrax, but his disgust towards them never dulled. Still, he would not underestimate them. As tiny as they are, he knew that they could be dangerous, specially when overwhelming a single target.

To think that these were the beings that were using the rightful legacy of mankind was an insult, may the Thunderous One forgive his soul for having to deal with these vermin, but it was a necessary evil. He kept his composure and kept a careful watch as madam Solan negotiated with them. After a few tense minutes, he was given the go ahead, and lead the rest of the workers to transfer the goods. Soon House Solan would learn how to pierce through the Veil, and he would make sure to be part of the crusade to purge these filthy monsters from Vei-3, forever wiping their taint from the face of the system.

Jeez, that's a lot of good quality big guns in the system. Not even counting all the Missile silo's.
Do we want to roll both Titan force's together, or keep them separate? I feel it would make some sense, given everything. The Forge world houses the Titan Maniple itself, hence the massive numbers, while the mightiest of the machines are stationed to Veire due to old honour codes.
It'd also give an easy excuse for a bunch of them to be the missile-toting, orbital laser carrying, Warmonger class Imperator.

I'll just say that since that was from the perspective of a hardcore house Solan loyalist, they are not necessarily close to discovering how the Phrax travel around, he just look up so much to them that he whole heartily believes that.
Even if the Solan daughter does manage to figure it out soon, the house would still need to find a way to have the knowledge approved by the mechanicus as an STC instead of Xeno-tech, negotiate with the Imperium , all the while avoiding having it be stolen, assassinated or in any other way rug pulled.
And that is if her brother, the leader of the house, plays along and doesn't cause a scandal setting them back. In which case he would need to be, well, replaced.
>>
And since I'm already talking about what I thought while writing, might as share the rest.
The way I wrote the Fahil, I imagine that if the daughter told him that her brother was holding back the future of House Solan, he would immediately march to his quarters, kill him in cold blood and then kill himself for harming a member of their house, specially the acting leader.
I wrote it thinking it could work as a plot point if anyone ever decides to use Vei as a setting for Rogue Trader. Sort of a path one could follow if they decide to aid the Solan's in their intrigue and science background. Hence mentioning the possible protection a Warrant of Trade could provide. A high risk, high reward path, with the possibility of stealing the tech and claiming all the riches for themselves if they wanted to be assholes.
I also imagine that the party could also go for a different approach and try to get the brother to clean up his act, get him to repair his ties with the Ifrits and win the heart of voters.
I left the names of the two Solan members for other anons to come up with, but I named the Ifrit leader because an anon said she was some sort of Coco Chanel inspired character, so I shuuffled it around a bit got Cha Connel.

Wing Captain Kohl of the 706th Warp Weather Squadron laid the parchment across his writing desk. The vellum creaked as he unfurled the starmap. To an untrained eye, the binary star system and planetary bodies looked entirely typical for an Imperial system. The numerous annotations, recaff stains, and smell of nervous sweat that seemed to permeate the map from all the nervous hands that touched it told an experienced viewer otherwise.

The Vei system was notoriously difficult to navigate, and even more of a challenge to predict. The crew of the Bluebell had worked together to prepare the latest forecast. It had required the eccentricities of an astropath from the Adeptus Astra, an enginseer from the Adeptus Mechanicus, and the diligence of an overworked crew to pull this together. Most importantly, it had required Captain Kohl knowing when to be a taskmaster and disciplinarian, and when to look the other way—not an easy task on a Faustus Interceptor. The astropath was prone to fugue states and gossip, forgetting that discretion was the better part of valor on an extended voyage. The enginseer would periodically shout in binary without rhyme or reasons—sometimes the outburst was a prayer to the Omnissiah and some of the times it was just sections of the maintenance manual for the autocannon—and the two seemed to blur together the longer this expedition went. The servitor? At least it was fine, no one made recaff as good as it could.

Kohl returned his tired eyes to the starmap, looked over the newest predictions, and gave it his stamp of approval. One more forecast to be delivered to House Solan.

He stood up to bring it to the astropath’s cabin, and found her hand already outstretched and waiting in front of him, seemingly unaware of how much of her robes seemed to be held together by suggestion and coincidence more than anything substantial. That was something Kohl should chastise her for, but you learned to look the other way on the Bluebell.

Or at least not stare.

The clans of Çorak dug deep into the ruins of this ancient world. They fought and died for every new discovery. Every expedition and every excavation brought risk and reward to the clans. Their precursors knew how to make miracles, and did so with a decadent ease. Those days had long since faded into myth.

Wytchking Exa knew that this place demanded blood and tribulation for any miracle now. To understand the power of the stars, any Wytchking needed Hayalet. "Hayalet" was the name of the iridescent green crystal that grew like kudzu through the ruins below. It was capable of great and dreadful things, with it Exa had divined portents of doom and blessing, he used it to channel infernal fires and eldritch lightning against those who trespassed against his clan, from within or without. It brought forth creation and destruction, and when it was time, mighty Exa would ascend to the heavens, rewarded for his great hunts by Nodens, The Lightning Lord. His mortal body would perish but he would live forever on in the great hunting parties his Lord brought across the stars. The horizons belonged to Nodens, and the mysteries of the ruins would belong to Clan Heb.

you're right, Veire is Small, only 35,000 km circumference, your roll of 24 would make the agri moon small too, I'll go by what you said and downgrade it to a tiny so it makes sense
Need a 2d10 for the circumference
>>
Rolled 8, 10 = 18 (2d10)

>>89983344
Everytime we ask to roll for circumference I keep thinking of FATAL jokes.
>>
>>89983397
18,000km Circumfrence, still a pretty large moon, our own being only 10,921 km
1d100 for number of terrains (I'm going to make an executive decision and say if the Agri world rolls volcanoes, we're rerolling it, everything else is fair and can be explained)

4 terrains, should be interesting
4d100 for terrain types

Rolled 7, 96, 75, 64 = 242 (4d100)

I though a circonflex was this ^ and the ç was a cedilla.
>>
>>89983520
^ is circumflex

Just checked on wikipedia

For a moment I thought I had somehow forgotten what I had learned in school.

Not bad not great, we can work with that for an Agri world

1d100-20 for population
>>
Rolled 20 + 20 (1d100 + 20)

>>89983573
>>
>>89983597
Okay I'm not entirely sure what to do with that, it's actually a minus 20 because of the size of the planet, the lowest it goes is a roll of 1-5 is 10d10, meaning an absolute maximum of 100 people on this agri planet. But that 20-20 means absolutely zero population. Maybe it's entirely automated? We can come back to that later.

That's the last roll I can do for now, I've got some things to do but I'll be back later. Anyone else feel free to take over using the planet generator on 1d4chan, we're now on to Society
>>
Rolled 10, 2, 8, 10, 3, 4, 6, 5, 2, 2 = 52 (10d10)

>>89983628
The only options I cam think for having such low population is either it being all servitors with overseers seeing it, the workers being all temporary, so they worker export from çorak work here for a term before returning, so they don't count as inhabitants, or there is an extreme mortality rate.
>>
>>89983669
>Population:52
Farming is the most lethal profession in Vei.

1d100 for their government
>>
Rolled 13 (1d100)

>>89983769
>>
>>89983669
>all servitors with overseers seeing
Being so close to a hive and a forge world this makes sense.
The Hive sends criminals, scum and other misfits over to the agri world where they are turned into servitors by adepts from the Mechanicus and toil in the fields day and night until they keel over and die, only for their bodies to turn into mulch for the crops and their bionic parts recycled for the next sorry soul. Proper grimdark for 40k

>>89983769
We can also play into this number, with 52 being the optimal amount of regions/grids/stations on the moon where 52 members from either Administratum and/or Mechanicus oversee the servitor legions working the land
>>
>>89983792
>Administratum and/or Mechanicus oversee the servitor legions working the land
Not counting the temporary maintenance personell being ferried back and forth from the planet and the moon(s) which would only number in the hundreds or thousands if there are problems in the production line, as food production besides defense would probably be the number one priority to solve in this system due to the difficulty of ships to enter and leave the system

I'm going to mix things I found from the two wikis on how I think this world looks like
>On some planets, especially where there is a strong Adeptus Mechanicus presence, labourers with bionic scythe-limbs might work alongside monotask harvest Servitors while Combat Servitors patrol the fields and use their Heavy Stubbers to discourage marauding creatures.
Something similar with this text, except without the non-harvest servitor, and pic related for the domes.

09-17 Elected Dictator: The population or a designated body politic elected a man into the role of dictator, who then holds absolute power. Their will is law, the law is whatever they will. A dictator often has a group of advisors, and an administratum for day-to-day management, but in the end Dear Leader's decision is final.
It's a banana republic.
>>
>>89983858
Next so 1d2 for the export and 1d12 for their import
>>
Rolled 1, 11 = 12 (2d12)

>>89983903
Do we even roll for export? Agriculture and Animal Product says Must be export if agri-world. Although I could see the planet exporting either Lumber or Alcohol/Drugs on the side.

I'm hoping they either import Workers or Vehicles
>>
>>89983858
>It's a banana republic.
Lore time:
The most common foodstuff for the average imperial citizen in the Vei system is the Veivian Banana. Grown in huge agri domes on Al-Vivus this fruit is hardy, flavorless but can grow even in nutrient poor soil and grows from a seed to a ripe fruit in a matter of weeks; perfect for industrial scale farming.
The fruit itself is similar in size to the ancient Terran banana, but instead of the vibrant yellow it has a dark purple exterior, that borders on brown when ripe. The flesh of the fruit is tough with a similar texture to ground up grox meat, but is very filling.
The fruit is harvested and processed on the Agri-Moon, being turned into everything from nutrient paste, canned, dried, or even shipped out raw in large stasis containers to be served to the more affluent members of regular imperial citizenry.

Feel free to discard or change this lore as you guys see fit, I just thought of it on the fly.

...I think the dice heard me

Export
1.Agriculture: Plant based food. Fruits, vegetables, fungi, algae, anything grown and edible. Can also include spices and herbs. Perhaps some non-edible plants for making medicine or chemicals.

Import
11.Workers People born or vat grown specifically to serve the Imperium. Worlds like these tend to have larger populations than most.
>>
>>89983963
With the workers, maybe it's seasonal work to give people a chance to leave the hellscape of Veire if only for a limited time. Perhaps an incentive of the government of the hive world to lower pressure from the populace to avoid large scale riots at the spaceports.
>>
>>89983981
It could be that, servitors, or laborers from Çorak, since their export are Workers.
It could even be all three!
>>
>>89983991
I don't see how it is feasable to ferry people from Çorak when you have a hive world next door with over 2 Billion people who understand imperial technology better than the primitive society on the feudal world, not to mention the time it takes to travel in the system itself.
>>
>>89984028
I'm just trying to tie the roll results.
But then again, we did change the population of the forge moon with the hive world, so we don't need to follow them to the letter.
>>
>>89983963
>>89983948
I was saying d2 for export to see if its agriculture or animal product
>>
>>89984235
Ah, I see it now that the first was a 1d2 and not a 1d12.
At least the result ended up working out, and we can even use this anon's idea >>89983960
>>
>>89984281
Meant to say that it was supposed to be a 1d2
