you headed south, a lone figure was dipping his toes in the peculiar water on on your way.

It was Neegel, the pyromancer. He didn't have his small chest this time.

"You again?" he retorted "Well, perhaps it is a good thing you came by; my earlier statement won't apply to my kin anymore...i am now an outcast like you thanks to that damn chest."

He paused for a second "Vessel of vex, if you happen to pass by an old crone in the giant's valley...kill her. bring me her rotten head and i will share my fire with you."

He wasn't annoyed by your silence "Curses, There is on way out of this blasted end; A route is guarded by a loathsome snake , the other..." he pointed at the body of water "is infested with Loa's buddings. I am trapped here..."

With all of your brute strength, you went hard on the buddings who paid little attention to your ruthless strikes.

fifteen minutes later, you took a heavy pant after all of these swipes. The Amalgamation extended a coil of arms to reach you before blessing you with a miracle of sort, the exhaustion was cleansed away in a heart beat.

"Thank you...kind traveler." their voices were soft and somewhat echoy "We are the failures of Vienshlan. When our master grew tired our existence, he banished us to this strange world. We exist without hope. Knowledge is our only gift to you, kind traveler. But we need some rest to recover our fallen sisters...these lands doesn't welcome the likes of us as it happened before..."

"Such kindness...." The failure cried even more. The woman on top extended itself to reach you for a simple kiss on the forehead "...thank you."

They slithered away in a painful fashion as it was apparent by the trail of blood left behind by them.

In the horizon, you could see a giant black rock standing strong in the middle of the sea. the highest point was facing you. the best way to approach the rock was by reaching its lower end.

There were also a strange bunch of buddings in the shallowest area of the sea near the rock. they were imitating a ceremony of sorts using their ingested corpses. You felt like it was almost a wedding.

The plagued lands of Coris suffered from great infertility. Kings, queens were chosen according to how fertile they were.

The young prince had defied the sacred laws of his land and married a foreigner, she bore many children for him and his kingdom. These children didn't belong to the releam of man...no, something more vile....

Soul of desperate prince, consume it to gain lots of souls. Or perhaps....

The prince of Coris was the last hope of his kingdom. Men were no longer able to bear a children and most of the women were too weak to bear a child if they were fertile in the first place. His kingdom would have died one way or another....

You ignored the pilgrims for now. You did find a dead pilgrim near an almost non existent road. You grabbed his twisted dagger and moved on.

A long bridge awaited you at the corner of the Ashen end. Pilgrims probably came from this place. it was left unguarded.

As you were approaching the bridge, A distorted figure of a man spotted you from the other side of the bridge where dense fogged tree covered your view. He wore clothes similar to man of the shrine. Both of his deformed hands were barbed to a long grey whip oozing black substance. Its hair was grey and wild almost reaching his sickly feet. His eyes scooped out. A black hole of naught replaced them.

The man shrieked as he went on all fours to kill you.

Your backstep couldn't be more timed. you summoned a small fireball and threw it right at one of his hollowed orbits. It screamed in pain, accidentally whipping himself as he was trying to extinguish the fire.

When you were charging for the final blow, the shard howled in rage pulling out his whips. A gash of black blood showered the ashen ground. He was charging at you with pure anger, ready to plummet you to death with his stumps.

The mace started to glow as the shard was charging towards. After a courageous warcry, you smashed, every bone he had above his shoulders. He twitched briefly.

The shard was no more.

_________YOU DEFEATED________

+10000 Souls

You grabbed his withering soul and stuffed it in your bottomless box.

Twisted soul of Shard Othlom.

A malicious and corrupted soul of Shard Othlom, consume it to gain souls, or perhaps....

This shard has gave everything in his life to serve the dark, his family, years of blind dedication but most importantly, his very soul.

He was one of the few shards to survive the rite of the abyss. Deep into the chasm of Vorrem. His current husk was to protect the pilgrims in vital points of their long journey.

A couple of hollow pilgrims were coming from the shrine, they wept in sorrow upon finding the corpse of their protector.

They didn't attack you though. No, they were afraid of you. Instead, they chose to bury the shard near the bridge before moving on.

A glare of lightning caught your attention up north. After a bit of walking, you found Shard Livenne fighting the nameless cleric from earlier with two Scythe wielding hollows on her side.

"HERETIC!" Shouted the cleric as he threw a bolt of lighting on one of the scythe hollow but he was constantly pinned down by Livenne's dark orbs. He is armour has sustained a lot of damages, he was bleeding from a slice to the back.

The slime covering the dress barely did anything. You collapsed on the ground with a gaping black wound visible to the world. Most of your front ribcage was gone exposing your vitals.

Your swan dagger spread its wings, it flew straight to shard's Livenne eyes, She wiggled in pain but unlike the Scythe hollow, she had a sense of self preservation. The shard crushed a small bone in her hand which took her somewhere else.

"NO!" shouted the cleric. Your grave injury gave him enough motivation to finish off the scythe hollow. He crawled next to you in a desperate attempt to heal you with his miracles. but it was too late.

_____YOU DIED______

You were reborn in the sanctuary's bonfire. The strength of the bonfire lured you here instead of some emberless ash.

You found the same cleric next to you, he looked perturbed "By the gods, you startled me. I sought guidance from the gods and they revealed that you were a vessel of ash bound to be reborn till the end of times...they guided me to this sanctuary. "

Nothing good was behind the feathered door. you recalled the firekeeper's word. It was for the best not to open it.

You exited the sanctuary and headed to the west to the bridge. you took very slow and cautious steps until you crossed the other side.

______Pilgrim's woods_______

The woods reeked of darkness, everything withering and dying. Cold, ancient trees covered most of the area. Silent crows watched every step of your. You felt their prying eyes pecking on your soul. Something was unsettling about them. The real noise came from gurglings, growlings and howlings of unseen beasts.

You found an emberless ash at the start of the road. The main road has split into two path, one to North, the other was to the south.

Again, the path splits, you found yourself overwhelmed by these branches paths. Crows migrated from one tree to another the more your progressed through the woods.

The northern path looked it was going up. there was a black tower with crows flying around it.

The southern path quite the opposite, it was steep in its start, it was also riddled with thick bubbling mud. It would slow down your movement.

The two of you approached the jailers Who cawked in defiance, the phantom's dodges were precise and fast, he was almost a blur to you and the jailers.

The crows focused their slices and thrusts on the phantom. You had a lot of opportunity to strike.

You gained:

>Twisted Souls of the Jailors

An amalgamation of malicious souls which belong to the Accursed Jailors. Consume them for souls, Or perhaps....

The Holy dream of Livendagen tried to consume Pokent, the dreamchaser. But the child was too strong for the holy dream. A potential danger for their perfect world Thus, the high priests banished him far away in the Pilgrim's woods.
The Dreamchaser was guarded by a trio of assassins who sacrificed their souls to gain Norr's accursed weapons.

>Feathered Dagger/rapier/Shortword

Accursed weapons forged by Norr, the cursed Blacksmith. Greatly increase one's strength and dexterity. A strange power was bestowed upon this blacksmith. These set of weapons would slowly turn their wielders into beasts...

As dreadful as this might be, it was a blessing in disguise....

Despite her objection, you carried the broken maiden. She was terribly light in weight.

There was but one path ahead of you. It sank in total darkness. You had to maintain a fireball in your left hand in order to see what was up ahead.

Maintaining the fire, carrying the maiden and withstanding the pain from the fall took a toll on your health. You were growing tired with each second.

A narrow catwalk awaited you at the started of the path. It was a bit slippery with black substance. The maiden has already fainted; she was probably stuck here for a couple of days.

"Go forth, Kind traveler, aid the weak..aid u-" they stopped in mid-sentence, shying away from you. You weren't focusing on them at the moment.

With enough strength, you brought the maiden to the sanctuary. Both brother Donnel and Neegel rushed towards her. Doing their best to aid her.

As you walked down the southern path, you found dozens of broken dolls along the road. You had a suspicious feeling that they were watching you but every time you turned your neck, you found them still as a rock.

As you reached another forked path, you found a small doll sitting on a recent corpse of an archer, he archer was gutted wide open but his longbow and feather arrows were mostly intact. The doll looked docile, he didn't jump around like the first one you encountered and yet, the blood on his claws was fresh. He looked at you in a curious fashion but that was all.

The doll ran away from you. He climbed a mound of broken dolls in the clearing up ahead. The ground started to shake. Dozens of dolls were pouring from this mound. each one of them had a distinctive thread connecting it the mound.

You heard a plethora of horns. some sounded familiar, some felt odd to your ears. Three Banners were raised by bigger dolls surrounding the mound. Each belonged to a different land swallowed by time.

From the mound, A sickly hand emerged pointing at you and cursing you in an odd language. It didn't sound mature.

Dozens of dolls made advanced formations , ready to strike you.

You conjured a fireball and threw it right at the Orange Banner Doll. Since it was mostly made out of wood, it didn't stand much of a chance.

In a blink, All the bow dolls crumbled. A hand emerged from the mound, it sliced you at the back but your armour was sturdy enough, you smacked the hand to return the favor with your mace. it hid inside the mound.

The banner dolls were conflicted; they had to either fight you or organize the lesser dolls.

In the end, you were bigger, more stronger than these measly dolls. Advantages in numbers weren't on their side. You charged with your divine mace. Crushing dolls and breaking their ranks.

You felt two pokes in the lower portion of your back, the remaining banner dolls tired to attack you with the somewhat sharp end of their banner. Again, your red scale armour proved efficient to withstand the blow.

The Mound was shattered unexpectedly, revealing the same doll who ran from you but in another doll, it was slenderer. It appears that the doll was trying to escape after this utter defeat.

'Your' dolls were mopping up the rest of the dolls including the banner ones.

______YOU DEFEATED______

Your dolls were still standing, they keeled towards the red banner of Hanshira. When it lost its glow, they collapsed on the floor like their brethren.

A headless life-sized doll awaited you. She wore a fancy attire only fit for nobles, The manor itself was riddled with threads of endless colours. It was almost impossible to walk inside without being tangled in one of these colorful webs.

"May I touch the hands of the murderer of my children?" the doll asked extending its right hand. Her left hand was teemed with lots of needles. You felt sorrow and grief in her tone.

You sloughed your way to the northern road, you couldn't continue onwards in the mud with your current armour. A step more and you would sink. you wanted to kick the man who launched you into the chasm but he wasn't there. Nevertheless, you found bloodstains near the ledge.

You saw some deep tracks disappearing in the mud....two have fought here. One was retreating from the fight at one point.

The Mimics' insides were full of strong bile, something capable of melting flesh and bone alike. You tampered a little with the corpse but you had to back away eventually.

A landscape of graves awaited you to the south, It was guarded by a bulky figure, He was bald. His face spoke of bitter times from all of these scars. His skin was faint grey. He didn't possess any weapons....just two menacing fists. He took pride in exposing his deformed chest. A visible hole was seen in his abdomen.

He seemed a bit more sane than Shard Othlom; he bowed to a small group of Pilgrims. One of the Pilgrims offered an Estus flask for the lonely shard. He refused with a smile.

There was a somewhat large hut at the end of a cliff onwards.
