>"Tochtis!"
Emeil yells, running towards you from the other side of the corridor
>"The yeteli are retreating! We've pushed them out of the throne room, the other rebel leaders are requesting you in there.
He continues...

You are Tochtis Perylt, a former swine herd. you are currently leading one of the six rebel groups against the Yeteli, an empire that has been occupying your home nation of Aedlon.

You are now being lead to the throne by your close friend Emeil, who was the one that originally inspired you to lead this foolhardy revolt. After a short walk you arrive, a large circular room, filled with both corpses in the yeteli uniform and ones without. the five other leaders: Eroch, Biarra, Twyl, Lopendu and Arep, are all standing in front of the throne seemingly arguing. After a little while they seem to finish, or they just finally notice you.

Lopendu starts to talk, keeping his old and taciturn face on while doing so:
>"Tochtis it is good to see you alive, I and the other leaders were just talking about who should be the new lord of Aedlon, as you know the prince died during the storming of the gate so no royal blood remains. We knew that would mean a new line of lords would be necessary, and we have decided that the new line shall begin with you."
no sooner does he finish, when a rebel soldier rushes in to the room.
>"We have pushed the yeteli out of Etheniol sirs, we have won the battle!"

>"Tochtis you are our Lord and Leader, tell us what we must do?" Are turns towards you and asks.

Follow them! let no filthy yeteli escape!
We must stay here, if we move out they might catch us in an ambush

>"Sure, but make sure that they don't get too harmed."

as Arep and lopendu are walking out of the room, A couple of your soldiers enter holding an old robed man, who seems to be struggling to get free.
>"Sir we found this one hiding in the Phydotia Matagnius, he claims to be a shrine keeper-"
>"I am Tyftekus, Keeper of the God of Royals! You claim to be Aedlan liberators, where is Prince Dira? I demand to see the prince!"

Also dropping a few setting details on you

Aedlon:
it is your birthplace, your home and your country, it has fertile plains at the coast of the green sea, that are covered in fields, its capital of Etheniol lies on the as well, there are a few iron mines in the Red Mountains, a lot of the old pydotist shrines have been destroyed by the former yeteli occupiers, but a few still stand, the Phydotia Matagnius has been desecrated and converted into a Djuskal sun temple.
Religions:
Pydotism:
Pydotism orginates from Aedlon, it has a multitude of gods, with everything from the God of Lobsters the the Goddes of Music. It is named after the book of Phydiot, or Pydot and it is the smallest religion.

Djuskalism:
it stems from the ancient country that once was known as Sythirr, and it decrees that every man should strive to either create an empire worthy of the Sun, or serve in one. It is currently the largest religion in the Centrainien.

Tilijism:
No one truly knows where it came from, but it worships a lot of the ancient legends and fables. The most important are: The Shining Son, the Mother of Stars, The Lost warrior and the Skull-faced brother.
Surrounding nations:
Rhadim:
The small city state of Rhadim are found directly to the north of Aedlon, they have few resources but are famous for their legendary Rhadise horses, which are some of the fastest in the Centrainien region. They follow the Tilijiv faith.
They are currently allied with the Iddyran revolutionaries

Idyrra:
This small kingdom is north to Rhadim and north east to Aedlon, they have many resources especially food.
they are currently locked in a civil war with with the Tilijivic revolutionaries on one side, and the Djuskal royalists on the other.

Yetel: This massive Djuskal empire is found to the south, they are currently trying to recuperate themselves after a humiliating defeat against the Itaphi princes, due to this their northern garrisons have been weakened.
Recently you wrestled the control of Aedlon from their occupation.

Tjuja:
Currently occupied by the Yetel empire, this used to be a Pydotist nation, but currently they are overworked, forced by their occupants to produce food in absurd amounts.
They used to lie south east of Aedlon.
Surrounding terrain:
The Saatabi desert:
The massive desert lies to the west, the only thing keeping it from consuming all of the Centrainien are the Red mountains.

The Red mountains:
A huge chain of mountains keeping the Saatabi out, they are named after their strange red and orange coloring.

The green sea:
They green sea is at the east of Aedlon, and it is said to be the birthplace of the Pydotist gods, it is also a holy site of the Tilijiv faith, because it is where the the Shining Son and the Mother of Stars first met.

Eroch says as he points towards you,
>"-to be the lord, until we have retaken the whole of our country."

after he has finished, the old man seems to take a sigh of relief, knowing that the land wil atleast have a leader in the place of the prince.

We must wipe out all resistance within the city as quickly as possible, and be prepared to garrison the walls against the relief force. With the navy, we cannot be put to any sort of siege. We may rely on Lopendu and Arep to deal with the fleeing Yeteli.

You all seem to want to get the harbor, so writing.

also you have six leaders
Leaders: Tochtis, Eroch, Arep, Lopendu, Biarra, Twyl
each with their own army
>>
I'd suggest we use all of our remaining forces to take the harbor, and then immediately make ready to defend the walls against the relief army. If we can pin the enemy at the walls, we can sally forth and destroy them when Arep and Lopendu return. If we have any cavalry, it seems it would be best used in harassing the relief force.
>>
>"We shall take to the harbor, Emeil send word To Twyk ti start reinforcing the wall, and tell Biarra that she shall scout the relief forces, but only to engage if she is guaranteed a victory."
>"I shall see to it at once, my lord!"
he says and walks back to the palace.
>"Now Eroch.
you say while you both are walking towards the stables,
"You need to gather up you soldiers as swiftly as possible, I'll ride ahead with mine immediately, Join me at the harbor when you are finished."

You take your brown Rhadise horse, Your banner, made from the old flag you had at your farm, and finally you draw your old sword, the one that has helped you get this far. Finally riding out from the outer palace wall you, through the great market, You yell out to your soldiers:
The yetli are at the harbor, join me and we shall push them out!"

As you reach the front of your troops, they all begin to follow the few cavalry you have right behind you, and your many militia rushing behind them, all down through the broad street that leads. to the harbor. at the end of the street you find that the yeteli have constructed barricades to keep your riders out. you will have to dismount from here.

Excuse me for thinking too far ahead.

Our allies right now are the Rhadim to the north. Who support the Tilijiv revolutionaries in Idyrra against the Idyrrian rulers who worship Djuskal (which is conincidentally the same religion our enemies the Yetel to the south worship).

So, once we actually have something to work with, supporting a change of rule in Idyrra seems the next logical move.
>>
>>221577
Why is it in these quests everyone wants to recruit the enemy?

>Captured some bandits?
Let them join your forces instead of hang them for their many crimes.
>Defeated an enemy army?
Let them fill your ranks with men of questionable loyalty, different culture, religion and a high likelihood of defecting or providing easy grounds for spying.

Why on earth would our men want to fight alongside those that they have been fighting against so recently? The point of offering surrender is to secure the well-being of the navy and save our own men's lives.
>>
>>221578
>Our allies right now are the Rhadim

Since when? I though our natural allies were the Tjuja.
>>
>>221589
If you did it without a great many good reasons, they would turn on you.
>>
>"Navymen of Yetel!
you roar:
We have scattered your allies! We have retaken our city! if you leave your ships we wil not burn and sink them with you! You shall be offered safe passage in exchange for everything in that harbor! I have 20.000 men ready to charge in there and slaughter you all! I will remain until you give me an answer!

Few minutes later, a grizzled looking man steps out between a small opening in the barricade. He carries no weapons.
>"We will surrender, please don't kill any of my men, they all recently got here and none of them ever did anything to anyone."
he says, awaiting your answer.
>"You may pass, Eroch shall lead you out near the new border where you shall leave our nation.

as Eroch starts proccescing the Navymen, you spot Emeil riding towards you. He aproaches you and says

And on the talking enemy soldiers, why not make them all wear masks and robes so they can't help it they are surrounded by friends or foes?

I say we should kick the Yeteli out back to Yetel, where all the other ethnic Yetelis are.

We're leading an Aedlan army reclaiming Aedlon from the Yeteli for the Aedlans.
>>
>"Send word to Biarra, tell her to stop scouting the relief troops and to assist Lopendu and Arep. Take the cavalry with you, Eroch and I shall help Twyl reinforce the wall in preparation for those relief troops"
