In Kova, Krištof and Mihael were still discussing history.

"Well, what happened?" Krištof asked impatiently as Mihael sipped some water.

"The Kingdom of Halzæ was actually quite prosperous at the start but... the ambitious never really quit."

"What do you mean by that?"

Mihael shook his head. "The kingdom had been going along peacefully for about 100 years until the third king, King Porcius, decided he wanted to bring back the empire. A foolish thing to do when it was struck down by the gods."

"So what happened?"

"Some say the king was assassinated, others say he was killed in divine anger- no matter what though, the king died mysteriously one night before his grand campaign was to start. This threw everything asunder- his only heir was his daughter Lucilla and the people weren't ready to accept a female as ruler. Back then, female's could do everything but rule a kingdom or an empire. It was rather hilarious actually- there have been stories of female warriors and generals outdoing their own kings... I digress however."

"So I take it the people rebelled and the military took over?"

"They would've, if it hadn't been for the nobles who also wanted the throne. Massive strife was caused and within a decade of war, Halzæ was no more and is now but a bunch of petty kingdoms. Today, Lucilla's descendants still live actually and still have proper lineage to the throne but no one would dare let them."

"Why is that- why not let them rule?" Krištof asked.

"Oh no, that would cause upheaval unseen of these days."

Mihael took another sip of water.

"Her and her descendants have always been, ethereal- Ghost-types. She was a Haunter when she moved on. Her descendants today of the Lucille family live here in Kova and in Slveria."

"Wow. That's quite a lot to take in."

"Be happy I didn't go into more detail about the conflicts before the end or the gruesome battles Rumenia and Halzæ waged before the end."

I was mulling this over for some time. My other idea is start a new quest altogether where everyone builds a Guild from scratch, which would be interesting as to where it can be taken in my mind.
But I think that should be separate and this restart. But first, I should probably find time to do things.

I'll probably enact a restart after this thread or the next depending on whether Hasglow should be resolved.

"Well yes but his "army" has been nothing but another target in our battles. They're just tougher soldiers, especially if one blesses their weapons." said Zofie.

The Haven Central Alliance and the Haven Southern Coalition are two powerful network of alliances on Haven Island- one of which Valornia is a member of (HSC).

Word from the other member states is that most of them are doing average, with some small problems in making weapons and munitions but otherwise okay on all fronts.
The only member with a serious problem is the Principality of Ketz, the western most member state.

Ketz is a nation with the majority being Sableye and a focus on mining iron, coal and copper although with recent advances, copper mines have been closing left and right.

To their north is Saksford, a HCA member state, which is normally a bad thing but with recent events, not really. They have no force to back up any more threats- especially when Valornia can punish them hard.

Saksford has started claiming that Ketz has been making passes in its water while Ketz is claiming that the waters it travels is their waters. The Ketz crown's main goal at the moment is to try and diversify the industry of Ketz and fisheries have become rather prosperous lately and wishes to stake a claim but so does Saksford.

Saksford is an agrarian nation with a few cities, all on the coast with the inland areas being managed by feudal lords. They have access to possible resources but don't have the means to mine it without proper funding, which they want to get from the fishing industry.

Whose side will you take? Or will you do something different?

"It's a good thing I request delivery of the newspaper. It may be in our language sadly but it is as Zofie said- an attack has been reported in Albrinn."

Zoric closed his eyes.

"Truly, this is a bad omen. If this is true, then you may be right- my son may have been killed by demons. I have gotten strange reports on the 'mon that killed him had glowing eyes but I put it off as a sign of a Dark-type considering most your kind's eyes glow."

"While this may be true, they don't glow bright red even if there's no light."

"Indeed."

Sitting the two parties down in neutral ground, that ground being Belvin, an agreement is made.

- Ketz will provide some fish and money to Saksford
- Saksford will provide minerals and money to Ketz
- Water borders will be drawn up (and secretly giving preference to Ketz.)
- Mines in both nations will be invested in by Valornia, Ketz receiving more money than Saksford.

The experiment in Artillery ammo has given a rather amazing new duo of shells- a 75 mm HE shell, known internally as X-1HE and the 60 mm Shrapnel Shell, known as the X-1SS.

These two new shells are the latest in demolishing and demoraliazing enemy troops with ease.
Valornia is getting fiercer military wise.

Talks have been set up in Chrabrost, the largest city in Valornia, between Slveria and Kova. As it has been found, the Queen of Kova, Queen Kristina Kašpar and her brother, King Jakub Kašpar of Slveria have both accepted invitation to talks and instead of sending diplomats, are arriving themselves in the city.

Rumor gets out- the city of Chrabrost has never received a visit from royalty before and the city prepares for them to arrive within the next week.

Spying on Feran has produced a query of information- altough the Windjammer is out of reach.

- Feran is trading in the lands to east as well as the south.
- Feran is supplying both sides in the war between Skalland and Ellekria
- Feran is developing new rifles and is hoping to colonize new lands soon.

Oliver was sitting in his office when he got a knock on the door. "Come in, Šimon."

A Yanma appeared in the doorway. "Grand Councilman... here's a report on the two measures the council was to vote on today.

Šimon laid out two papers, one titled "Environmental Acts" and the other "Karovian Intervention".

The Environmental Acts paper laid with rejection, a detailed report stating that it isn't the highest of concerns at the moment.

The Karovian Intervention paper on the other hand, had a stamp of approval.

Oliver nods with smile before handing Šimon a paper of his own.

"Hmm... a good omen. Šimon, give this message to the Minister of Defense. It seems we have permission to "help" our neighbors out.

"Certainly Grand Councilman. Anything else you wish for me to do?"

"Give this," he hands him a small booklet. "to her Holiness Azelf in the Cathedral."

"Y-yes, s-sir." he said, uncertain if meeting his god was a good or bad thing.

"Don't worry, Azelf does not bite- or else I would not be here. As she always said- 'be brave, courageous and never falter in anything you ever do. Be passionate..."

"...and never let failure bring you down... sir. I'll bring it to her Holiness posthaste!" Šimon said, rushing out of the office.

Oliver laughed. "Sometimes, I wonder what life would be like without the Three Sisters..."

Military-modular parts
With all the new weaponry, munitions and ammunition, the service life of the current stock of weapons has decreased as the power increased. Inventive types wonder is rifles and artillery can be designed to have parts that are easily replaceable and/or interchangeable in time of need.
Word had gotten to the military and a 3 month contract was given out.
