Through her own personal study and learning, she had sharpened her skills in not only her blade work, but her Kido and the strange abilities of her Reiatsu. A young girl with golden hair survived her first hunt and realized her potential, the blind man's hatred for the world was cut at its stem by a white haired girl who showed him there was still good inside of it, the young lord met one who would change his perception and demeanor somewhat, and because of her presence, three lives were saved from the onslaught of hollows at the burning tower.

Though no one knew it, she had shook the world from its path.

And now she sat, on the ledge above the Kuchiki's grand garden, with two incense burning by her side as she stared up at the blue, cloudless sky past the blade of her Zanpakuto. It was almost like she was in trance, simply sitting there, unmoving, unfinished poetry tossed around her as she thought. Her white pony tail, looking oh so much like a fox's tail, blew behind her as she closed her eyes and sighed.

Today...what do I do today? I can't decide and its starting to piss me off, I spent all night practicing a few new spells, but...I just don't know what I want to do today. I'm not used to staying in one place for so long, its...its odd, I spent practically all of my old life wandering, but in this one I've done the opposite. No one knew who I was when I was alive, but now it seems everyone knows who I am. Its a strange feeling, not sure if I like it but. I can't lie and pretend that I've hated these last five years, sure they've been a little boring and peaceful, but I shouldn't complain about peace since it seems to be so hard to find when you actually try to go looking for it.

But what do I do today? I can't just sit here reflecting on my life can I? I have things to do...right? Sure it'd be nice to laze around under the sun, maybe with a nice bottle of sake and some good pork fried in its own fat.

I pull Ryūketsu no kōtei out of the wooden boards I stuck it in and stand up with a groan. Damn, now I've made myself hungry. Need to find something to take my mind off of it.

I sigh and start to walk along the garden, the wind blowing against me as I walk through the estate, trying to figure out what I can do to be productive today or at least stop being bored. I sigh as I lean against one of the wooden pillars holding the awning up, closing my eyes before my heart skips a beat. OH, right Aya and the rest of them are going to be graduating today aren't they, how could I forgot about something that important, ahhh I'm in idiot sometimes aren't I. I stop and laugh at myself as I realize I've still got a good few hours until then, so I still need to find something to do in the now, unless I just want to stand around like a fool for awhile.

Hmm, but what do I want to do? Gah, I should've just slept in, it would've taken a lot of stress off of my mind. Well a little practice is always good, need to make sure I got those two new tricks Bloody taught me down.

a light burning runs over my body as I turn it to smoke, and walk through the nearest wall, passing through one of the many libraries the Kuchiki's own, and keep walking through it, the shelves and books as I go along lost in thought.

I turn myself back to normal, returning to flesh and bone as I stand in the middle of the hallway, surrounded by works of art and artifacts.

"Hmm" I say as I look around making sure no one is around me "Seems like no ones around to see this if I mess this up"

I lift my blade up, pouring smoke down it as its blade becomes hard to see, and almost ghostly. I smirk and hold it to my side, lining up a path through all the priceless things around me.

And I swing, watching calmly as the blade moves through them all like air, without even leaving a scratch in the pottery or denting the arm.

I stop it as I arc it into the floor, leaving a small scratch as I lift it up and sheathe my blade. I smirk, turning to a cloud of smoke as I walk through the wall to my right , humming to myself as I walk along and.

"Oh, trying to sneak up on me, hmm?" Yoruichi says as I step onto the deck she's standing on "My my, never thought you'd do anything like this, you're usually so forward"

She turns to face me, leaning towards me as I send the smoke away, dancing on the wind.

"And what are you doing out here? thinking to come climb through a window and steal the poor boy's purity?" I ask calmly as I sit next to her "You never change"

"And I could ask the same of you, trying to catch him bathing? you pervert" She says chuckling as she stares out at the forest

"Unlike you, I don't do anything or everything from behind" I say flatly "I face everything head on"

"So you'd kick in the door, how barbaric" She says with a cat like smile

"Better than slinking through the window like a lost cat" I say softly as she frowns and the smiles

"Hmm, well enough with this teasing" She says seriously "You still need practice in Hoho, You've gotten better but, well you I think you just need to overcome that barrier of honor that you've erected for yourself"

oh shit guys I'm late. Also I was contemplating techniques and such and that gave me an idea.

Will and spirit are kimi's primary stats and she has unique smoke reiatsu, so what's the bast way to utilize these traits?

Well I thought up of this basic principle that should work within the world of bleach, and that is using 'killing intent' or will as the primary catalyst for force and utilizing small amounts of reiatsu to add substance and finer manipulation with the end goal to damage without moving. Just being and focusing.

Essentially taking the principles of will and spirit to create a basic technique that cuts people down without the need for physical exertion.

This can also be used to greatly amplify and extend the reach of sword blows, and if we create a cloud of smoke to have our influence in, then we can cover our enemies in smoke, never be hit, and hit everything in our smoke.

An absolute bloodbath and completely game changing technique if it's possible, which unless the qm says no, I highly believe it is.

In my mind the best way to train this would be to sit in a room with an apple, extend your arms whilst sitting to the apple and push your will and feel it in your body, extend the influence of your senses and will, then exert the smallest amount of reiatsu possible to cut the apple cleanly.

I follow her, trying to keep up with her quick and graceful movements as she vanishes and reappears in the blink of an eye. I try my best not to run into anything and trip, leaping over underbrush to try and avoid doing just that.

Eventually, during our chase, she reaches the walls around the estate and wordlessly beckons me to follow her, I do just that, flash stepping to the other side as she appears on the roof of a distant building. I follow after her, just trying to keep up and not fall behind her, until eventually I realize we're out of the city, and standing on the edge of a red cliff...I didn't even notice that we left.

I sigh and fall down, sitting down as I try to catch my breath, wiping sweat from my brow as Yoruichi stands there with her arms crossed, looking terribly stern.

"Get up, we aren't done yet" She says flatly "We're going to have to keep practice short today, since"

"You want to try and get Aya to join the 2nd division" I say smirking as I hop back onto my feet

"Hmm, how'd you figure that out" She asks with a playful smirk "I mean I was thinking about it, she is a natural with Hoho after all"

"Just guessed" I say calmly "So why are we actually keeping this training session short?"

"I know how much you want to see the graduation, and it might be short, but it gives us enough time to discuss the future" She says happily

I look at her, as she stands there motionless as I try to catch my breath. And then she vanishes, forcing me to stand up as my lungs burn and run after her, seeing her tell tale purple hair down the side of the cliff. I leap down to her barely managing to stop myself on a rock, guiding my feet onto it as she stands on an outcropping across from me.

"Stay by his side" I say calmly, with a smug smirk, as our hair blows in the wind.

She vanishes and I shunpo over to where she was standing, seeing her make her way up the other side of the cliff effortlessly. I growl, my white and purple kimono covered in dust as I leap over to join her,

"Like any good samurai should!" I shout as I I manage to get up to her right as she vanishes again, and I run off after her

But she whistles, from behind me, as the her in front of me fades away.

I stop and think staring at her eyes glowing in the darkness in front of me.

I laugh, feeling the scars on my face as I grin widely

"Hmm" She says, snapping her fingers, lighting the place up, smirking "Should've expected that answer, you do love drinking and eating"

"Who doesn't" I ask as I lay against the cave's wall "One must enjoy themselves after all"

"Yeah, I figured as much with the connections being the Kuchiki's hound would give you" She says sweetly, smiling as she stares at me, waiting for me to begin the next half of my training, waiting for me to strike

"Oh, I get it, your mad I've been around to stop your wicked plans for poor Byakuya, and now you're scared I won't ever leave" I say, grinning wickedly as her eyes go wide and then narrow

"Oh, right, and you're not trying to raise a husband then?" She cackles "All that time alone with him...I'll be sure to show up to the wedding"

"Once again trying to shuffle the blame over to me, how can we trust you to keep us all safe from the criminals and mad men if you abuse power so easily" I say sarcastically, trying to look innocent and beaten down the lighting running on the walls begins to dim.

Yoruichi smirks

"What can I say, it's in my nature" She says smirking again as I frown.

the lights dim, and her eyes are all I can see.

Silence falls, and the air becomes tense.

I can feel the pressure of her Spirit weighing down on me, and I know that isn't all she has.

"Aya wouldn't be a good match for you division" I say sadly, feeling tears well up in my eyes "you know, it'd ruin her"

A second of silence, a moment of pause

"I know, she wouldn't be a good assassin, she could stomach keeping the order no matter the cost, She'd let out prisoners from one sob story, and she'd be a terrible messenger" She says as the light return "She'd probably forget where she was going along the way"

I take my chance to strike, as Yoruichi giggles. I pull my fist back, and slam it into her jaw, rocking her head back as her eyes become deadly and she smiles

Her leg flies up, and I barely block it with my arm, feeling the crack that echos through our little cave.

I shunpo a step back, and she follows up, hitting my stomach as I headbutt her. I clutch my guts as she rubs her head.

I chuckle standing back up, cracking my knuckles as she gets the kinks out of her neck

"How dishonorable" She says jokingly "Guess you were right, there wasn't a barrier was there"

She's going to beat me to a pulp unless I can keep up with her and react nigh instantly. I smirk as she reappears, her leg mid kick through the air. I force my body to burn up into smoke, and run through her the second I see her.

"Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man!" I shout as I rush through her, leaving her confused as her leg shatters the wall behind me.

She turns and jabs for my head as I flow through her again and appear behind her holding my palm up to her back.

"Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws" I shout as a blue light burns out from my palm and flows over the captain in a violent burst, throwing up dust and smoke.

The lights go out as I turn to try and match her. The world goes fuzzy and every goes muddled as her leg hits my head and I go flying against the wall, feeling it crack behind me as I slide down it. I blink, as I struggle to stand up in the darkness.

That wasn't her to my side, she was behind me...I fell for that afterimage crap again. I rub the side of my head where she hit, feeling how sore it is as pulses off pain rush through my skull.

I walk forward, controlling my breathing as I hear her run around me, her footsteps mingling together as she rushes me again, and gives me a "light tap" nearly sending me crashing to the floor.

Come on...come on where is she? I sigh, letting my breath out as I hear a rock roll by my feet. I swing me scabbard at her, and her it crash against her neck as her hand stops an inch away from my face.

I grit my teeth as her eyes light up, and she chuckles.

"Still standing?" She asks teasingly "I thought you were down for the count already"

I hear her footsteps, and shunpo over to where I hear her. and a second later I feel her fists bruising my arm, I try to get behind her from my ears alone as she stays one step in front of me. No...the problem is I'm following her footsteps. I close my eyes, and force smoke down the edge of my zanpakuto as I wait for her next strike.

I feel her jab to my stomach, like a sharp knife piercing it. I stab forward, seeing the darkness flow around my blade. She stops, like she's surprised I just tried to cut her down. I take that second of shock to get behind her, and pull my blade through her harmlessly. Before I reach her back, and take the smoke away, leaving a cut in her shoulder as I rip my sword out of her.

And swinging my scabbard around into her side as she tries to figure out what I did.

"Why do you have so many trick up your sleeves?" She says from behind me "With skills like that, you'd be perfect for the 2nd"

"Tch, please" I say shaking my head

"Oh well I was just being polite" she huffs, stopping behind me "Though you do have a strong sense of justice"

It never bothered me, and probably never will, but....look at my face, I don't care about my scars, in fact I love them, they remind me of the fights that truly tested me, the times I nearly died or got cocky. Memories of mistakes and glories. But would anyone else see it like that? I doubt it, they'd see a ruined girl. I watch my reflection for a few more moments. Always knew I was ruined for marriage the second I got that first scar, but I really looked at my reflection this closely before. Not like I have any want for romance or stuff like that, I mean I died young and...well I have a lot of time with this life. But what if that changes.

"Are you alright Kimi? what's troubling you now?" She asks as I stare at my face swirling the cup around slowly

What if it changes...I'm not the kind of girl for marriage but...just the thought that I might one day be it....kind of scares me. With a face like this and all of these scars, how long would I look? I sigh, sipping the sake. It doesn't really upset me much but...its a thought I don't like to think about.

Well....not like anyone is going to walk in on me right? I groan, slowly pushing myself out of the bath even though I really want to stay in it for just a little while longer. The air is freezing, why couldn't they have put this bath closer inside of the castle? I can understand wanting to walk out in the garden feeling refreshed, with your hair still wet and all that, but this is ridiculous. I shuffle over the floor, trying not to slip and fall on my back like and idiot as I make my way over to the small table with my soap sitting on it.

I grab it, and see the scar running down my shoulder to the underside of my arm, a white river of an old wound. I pause and look down myself, and frown. Running my hand down the scars criss crossing my stomach. How did I get all of these? I have memories on some of these.

Scythe along the side, hidden by the faint bite mark of the oni like hollow that killed me. several sword cuts along my stomach, all meant to be fatal, one deeper and more jagged than the rest....I nearly died with that one, I got it when I fled with Buta. the ones on my legs, done by desperate men trying to cut me down as I ended their lives.

I hold my hands up, seeing the faint traces of all of the nicks and cuts I got while training with my hands with blades, or by people trying to cripple my hands.

Scar over my eye, some thug got the drop on me, when I was just learning. the one on my cheek to my chin, the first so called master I cut down, one of the hardest fights I can remember from my old life.

The circles dotting my chest and sides. All lucky arrow hits that managed to avoid my insides. two tiny marks on my shoulders, Rifle fire....they didn't even have the decency to kill me when they saw I was a woman.

And then there are more I don't remember at all. The cut along one of my wrists, wide a deep, the small cuts along my thighs and the collection of stab wounds close together, all of varying ages. I don't remember how I got these.
