Thoughts that you as a potential human don’t really want to think of.

For now you return to sleep, hopefully dreamless tonight.

You and Alice make your way through the corridors of the guild, Alice lagging behind. It might not be the most subtle action, but you slow your stride to make sure she doesn’t do something stupid like try and run away. You could foresee the effect of that. Even with your Shellos’ pace, you eventually make it to Alice’s mom’s room. You don’t feel a foreboding aura of which you felt last time you incurred her wrath, so either she is asleep, gone, or hopefully not mad.

Alice ponders for a moment. “I could use help moving some more of my stuff here.”

“Here? I thought you were only hiding from your mom here?”

“Well I already brought my sticks here, besides I didn’t lie, teammates tend to sleep here.” She smirks a bit. “I also doubt Faye will leave, and I can’t just leave you two alone, something unsavory happens.”

Faye stumbles at the implication, sputtering “I- I am a lady! Nothing like that would happen!”

Alice just laughs it off Faye’s embarrassment. You cut in to save some of Faye’s pride. “We could always ask around for info about those sticks you need too.”

Alice ponders it for a moment. “Yeah we could, but I think the only one that has the most knowledge about it is my mom…” She shudders for a moment. “We may want to put a hold on asking her for info.” You firmly agree.

“Anything you need Faye?”

“Nothing particularly, I will be sorting some of my books, they fell down last night somehow.” Oops. You put those back right?

“I’ll help you out Alice. Might be easier for a biped to carry some stuff.” Alice grins before dragging you off to her former room. A slight distance from yours, although it was a bit difficult to tell with how everything in this damn maze looked the same.

“Alice when you are guild master, we are fixing this damned labyrinth you call a guild.” This only prompts Alice to gain a shit eating grin as a response.

Entering her old room you find a few jars filled with various things. Various sticks litter the floor, all with a mixture of char, bite marks, and snaps on them. There is a single fur blanket on top of what you assume is Alice’s bed of straw and three crates all roughly your size nearby the door.

“So big strong fighting type, you ready to bring this stuff back?” Alice teases.

“Yeah yeah, what do you need me to grab?”

“Well the crates are necessary, some of the jars are empty, but an empty jar is always useful.”

“And these?” You say picking up a particularly charred stick, which falls apart in your paw.

“We can leave those.”

“How about the bed and blanket?”

“We already have a bed, remember?”

“Yeah a small bed, we can add your straw to it.”

Alice hums in contemplation. “Yeah that could work, and the blanket would be nice. So just grab something and we can start moving.”

You place one crate on top of another before positioning yourself to pick up both crates at once. They don’t feel impossibly heavy, but it’s a minor strain to lift the crates. That along with the fact that there is nothing for a firm grip makes it a bit difficult to hold but you can probably handle it. Alice seems lays the blanket on the floor, before sweeping as much of the straw bedding onto it as possible before folding the blanket itself to contain the straw and firmly grasping it with her mouth.

The trip back to your room is relatively uneventful, you can’t see, which is quickly solved by your aura sense, your grip slips a bit once or twice, but you are overall able to keep everything from falling everywhere. Alice is able to drag the bedding and blanket back with little trouble as well.

Back at Alice’s room all that is left is one more crate as well as 5 or so pots, 3 of which are filled.

“You can probably place a few pots on that other crate and bring it back.”

Placing 3 of the jars, 1 of which is filled with a few miscellaneous berries, snuggly on top of the crate you once again lift it and begin to make your way back. The view isn’t completely blocked, so you don’t bother with your aura sense. Alice doesn’t bother taking a pot due to her lack of biped status limiting her options of carrying it, but you honestly don’t mind taking one more trip back.

As you make your way back, you feel an invisible force smack your still raw behind. Bringing back a searing pain that you had almost gotten used to at full force.

“Pffft hehehahaHA.” A familiar laugh echoes behind you, Bella apparently quite amused. Even Alice is giggling somewhat. If your face wasn’t almost completely obscured you’d glare at the two, for now you settle for an angry silence.

“Aww come on kiddo, it was just a joke. Lighten up.” Bella says uncomfortably close to your ear. You don’t respond.

“Come on kiddo, don’t make me force something out of you. I can be quite persuasive, and you don’t want to drop that stuff now do ya?” She says again, a psychic pressure pushing on your stinging cheek making you release a quiet hiss.

Right Alice?” The mention of some past punishment causes Alice to cease her giggles, and send out a light wave of embarrassment. You don’t even have to look at her, you can just feel it radiate off her. Strange, it doesn’t seem that embarrassing.

You finally decide to give your grumpy reply, hopefully getting this gho/ss/t off your back. “Can you not, I don’t want to drop this stuff.”

“Aww come on kiddo, I wouldn’t have let it fall. Laura ain’t the only girl who can float things about.” She waves off your concerns. This doesn’t make you feel any better.

“Hey, I even grabbed those two pots you missed, less walking has to be good right?” She ponders for a moment said pots floating by her. “Right? I wouldn’t know, not havin legs and all.”

Alice lets out a quiet mumble, but you are too preoccupied to hear her. The rest of the walk is uncomfortably silent as you and the two girls follow behind the floating crate and pots. Entering your room you find Faye has finished her sorting, although it seems more like some kind of organized chaos with the several stacks of books barely supported by each other, at least they aren’t all over the floor anymore.

Faye turns to greet you before her gaze reaches Bella “You!” she points accusingly at the gho/ss/t.

“Me.” Bella states in confirmation, a stupid grin on her stupid face.
