You’ve been driving for awhile when you see the “Welcome to Pennsylvania” sign illuminated in your headlights. You’ve been cycling radio stations to see if anything about a manhunt, more specifically a manhunt featuring a 22 year old 5’ 11’’ white male with potential metahuman powers and a grey 2001 Chevrolet express heading west, but you find nothing. This either means they are not searching that hard for the moment or are playing their card close to their chest. Either way you intend to push forward to find the only blood relative who has been a part of your life and the answers he might have to questions that have been burning ever since you nearly took some kids eye out with the stream when he cut you off from the drinking fountain 11 years ago.

You realize you should call Cat and explain her prediction about you getting snatched up by some clandestine operation we're only half true, as you escaped the snatching part with the help of a man with no face and a blue trenchcoat.

“Hello” you say when she picks up in a sunny voice not really appropriate for the situation.

“Isaac I have two thing to say, one is I told you so, the other is I’m glad you’re safe. I didn't know if they got to you or not. They enacted a curfew out here and every way in or out of town is blocked off.”

“Yeah, well I wanted to update you on my situation.” You say.

You take a look at the suit Cat made still in the box. It's the best thing you have as far as protection for your identity and flesh go. You slip it on and creep down the ramp one level to be greeted with a strange sight. Several strangely dressed (even considering your current attire) men and women have accosted a man and he seems in a bad way. Upon closer inspection all the assailants seem to be wearing nazi iconography.

“Finally found you, Heywood” The blonde man in green who appears to be their leader says. “Yes, our benefactor will be most pleased” a woman with a heavy german accent chimes in. “Any last words Untermensch”

You step out of the shadows to confront the nazis. There are 4 of them in total, only the man in green looks to be a threat.

You focus on the water running through the pipes in the ground. You force the pressure to build until the pipes rupture upward through the asphalt right under the two stormtroopers, tripping them both up. One hits his head and falls unconscious the other gets his legs twisted in the pipes but is not down quite yet.

“Interesting” the woman comments. “Let's see how you like this, worm” She produces a uzi from behind her and aims right for you. Your suit can stop small arm but you guess this will still hurt.

Sorry to cut it short again guys but some family flew in delayed and I have to pick them up, I was supposed to get them b4 we started. The captain meets your charge head on but the cold mist disorients him and you crack in the face once, then a hammerfist to his ribs has him doubled over. Another hammerfist to the back of his head has him on the ground. But he picks himself and glares at you. Perhaps thinking it's time to retreat. He them makes a mad dash for the window in a attempt to escape.

You decide to let the leader run, you have his buddies incapacitated and time is not on your side. You run over to the man the 4th Reich was pursuing and help him get to his feet, or foot as he seems to be an amputee.

“Are you alright man?” you ask the man. “Who are you? and why were those neo nazis chasing you?”

“I don't know, they crashed my family reunion. I don't know who else escaped or why they attacked. My grandpa fought in world war 2 but that’s all I can think of. Oh, yeah sorry my name is Nathaniel Heywood I used to play for Ohio state but now I’m kinda at a loss of purpose... and limb”. You look at his leg, the wound is several months old so probably not caused by his attackers.

“Do you need anything else?” you ask.

“Just call the cops or something, these guys won't wake up anytime soon. Thanks for saving me back there, I would not have made it out on my own. You called yourself Oceanus right? I'll be sure to remember that. Now get out of here, I doubt you want to be around when the fuzz shows up”.

With that said you head back up to your car and leave columbus behind. You managed to stock up on food and fuel and buy a burner phone like Cat told you. Listening to the radio you can gather that the media has begun covering your fight in the parking garage. You know those chasing you will catch wind of this and zero in on you sooner or later.

Pursuers status: picked up trail

You open your map and look at several possible next destinations on your way to LA. You find 3 possible candidates.

In an abandoned building several blocks from the parking garage, captain nazi has evaded the police and makes an important phone call.

“Sir, I am sorry to report we failed in our mission. Nathaniel Heywood has escaped along with several of the children of the Heywood family. We did get the man himself and all other adult family members thought.”
“I'm disappointed in you Kreiger, This should have been child's play even without your abilities. I don't think I have any more use for you and your crew if this is the best you can offer me” the voice on the other end growls.

“But sir,” Captain nazi interjects, “we were ambushed by another superpowered individual, he wore a blue suit with some sort of scuba mask. He was around 6 feet tall, white, and had dark brown hair. He called himself Oceanus and he commanded the water around him and channeled ice through his hands.”

“That doesn't sound like any vigilante I have observed. And with the scuba mask he most likely is not Atlantian. I shall have to keep an eye on this oceanus. As for your kreiger, you still underpreformed on my expectations even with the intervention of this new hero. I am dismissing you from my service as of right now. I may contact you again but do not count on it. You will be paid for the 2 jobs you've done for me before this one and that is all, goodbye and do not try to contact me again” The gruff sounding man hangs up.

Captain Nazi growls in frustration. “That Worm! He cost me half my crew and a fruitful business connection, if i ever get my hands on him I will pay back this humiliation 10 fold.”

You drive until you hit the Chicago city limits. You grab a bite to eat and top off your tank in case this is your only opportunity. You decide to rest in your van for the rest of the evening as you turn on the radio. After an hour or so of listening to music an emergency signal blares over the radio “Warning: Kord industries is being targeted by an individual wielding an unidentified weapon. We strongly urge all citizens to stay clear of the areas surrounding Kord Industries until the situation is contained”. Well that sounds fucking ominus. You think hard on what to do.

This might not be the best for your health but you might be able to help out, you don your suit and head downtown toward Kord Industries to find a man in a blue suit trying to fight off another man in a green hood.

“It’s useless Beetle” the hooded man shouts, “I have total control over the elements, you cannot win give up the prometheum”. He turns toward you “whats this? You don't seem to be another beetle despite the blue” he laughs.

The one called “Blue Beetle” turns to you also. “You don't seem to be with Dr. Alchemy, please assist me in dispatching him. He cannot be allowed to get to the prometheum inside the lab”.
You nod in response and take stock of the situation, Dr. Alchemy is floating about 35’ off the ground and the beetle is up there with him with the help of some sort of jet pack. There are still civilians trapped in the area as well as the police maintaining a perimeter around the conflict.

“Oceanus” you reply “don't worry the beetle and I will take care of this guy shortly”. The gathered crowd cheers as you and the one's you rescued come into view. You don't have time to bask in the adulation as Dr. Alchemy seems to have Beetle on the ropes. The Dr. has not noticed you yet.

You loose a torrent of ice shards up toward the Dr. He is to far away to accurately hit him with an icicle spear so this is your best option for range. However most of your shots go wide with the one's that do hit serving only to annoy the Dr.

“Is that all you've? If so you’ll never be able to stand against the master of elements.” Dr. Alchemy says mockingly.

At least your distraction gave Beetle a chance to regain balance. And with the civilians gone to safety the two of you prepare to take on this eccentric foe.
