Your name is Merric Fellus and finally the dreadful journey is over. You and your fellow colonist have spent the last 4 months on three cramped ships that you all were able to afford. However, you have finally made it to the new world. Here you hope to find the riches and wealth that you were told of.

“Mr. Merric please come to the deck”, comes a shout from above deck and you hurry to get to the deck. When you make it to the top you are stunned by the land before you, a land full of resources that you can use. From behind you hear footsteps and you turn to see the captain of the ship, Captain Darrius a water mage.

“Nice to see you managed to get up here pretty quick”, he says looking at you with a smirk on his face, “I was thinking of sending a boat over to check out this site for landing and wanted to see if you wanted to join?”

“Of course I would”, you say turning back to the land, “I need to check to see if this place has enough resources for us.”

The captain laughs and nods looking at you and begins to walk away, “Of course you would. Ok then just follow me to the landing boats. Oh also what element do you use?”

“A wind mage good sir”, you reply to him.
At your words he frowns and stops, “A wing mage then why weren’t you on deck like the others.”

“Well it wasn’t my shift today”, you answer.

“Oh your right”, he replies laughing leading you over to the boat, “Sorry about that sir, well just step into the boat and we’ll be right off.”

The boat begins to be lowered into the water and as soon as it hits the water Captain Darrius begins to move the boat along via his water magic. You look across the water and see boats from the two other ships pull alongside you. In a matter of minutes you hit land and everyone gets off the boat. You look over into the forest at the edge of the beach and see that it is rather dark due to the densely packed trees. To the right of the beach seems to be some imposing looking cliffs.

“All right men it is time for us to move out.”
You attention is caught by the voice and marching that follows it and so you look over to see Tiberius is leading a group of men over to the forest. You begin to move over to go talk to him, but are distracted by a large splashing sound. You turn over to the beach you see that Angelica is currently throwing rocks into large bubbles of water that she is levitating. You turn back and see that Tiberius has already gone leaving you with a choice.

You quickly dash into the forest to follow the half-demon. You rush through bushes and leaves and run until you feel a disturbance in the air and stop before a sword swings where your head was. You look up and see that Tiberius has a shocked look on his faces as he sheathes his blade.

“Sorry about that Merric”, he says apologetically, “I thought you might be an attacker. You can never be too careful in a new land. So why did you decide to join us?” As he asks this he begins to move back to the front of the group.

“Well I just wanted to see what this new land had”, say as you fall in behind him.

“Well that is a fine enough reason for wanting to explore”, he says as he moves through the brush. After a good long while of walking the group makes it to a large lake. On the other side of the lake to tree line looks less dense, but you can’t exactly tell from over her

“Hey Merric do you think we should make camp here”, he asks looking over at you, “The water here feels fresh and I can sense plenty of animals nearby for hunting. So what do you say?”

A. We should camp here

>A. We should camp here

“We might as well camp here”, you say looking around. What you see before you pleases you. While it is no silver or gold it is rich in natural resources such as wood and the lake water might contain oysters for pearls. Also, if what Tiberius says is true there could be a profit made in trading furs and pelts.

“Merric did you hear me”, says Tiberius pulling you from your dreams of wealth, “I said we should probably go back and tell everyone else so we can gather our supplies”.

You nod and head back to the leading site with him. When you make it back you see that Angelica is nowhere to be found and the boats are still there with the three captains looking rather bored.

“Good news you say”, using wind magic to amplify your voice, “We were able to find a spot to make camp.”

“Well that’s great well get the rest of the folks over here”, replies Captain Darrius.

Though it does take a while they do manage to get everyone onto the beach. You, Tiberius and the scouting party are able to guide them over to the shores of the river where everybody begins to set up tents. With everybody here you decide that some tasks need to be done.

After a couple of hours you check on the resource gathering efforts, and you are pleased with what you see. By the camp there are around 20 logs which could help you build around 5 smaller houses, 4 larger buildings, or 2 very large buildings. Of course you would need roofing and possibly some bricks, but the bricks could potentially take a long time to gather the amount needed.

“Hey Merric look what we found”, you turn to the voice and see that Angelic is running over to you. When she gets over to you she shows you a couple of leaves and some berries.

“What are they”, you ask looking at her.
She smiles and begins to laugh, “These are alchemical ingredients. If we have an alchemist we could potentially use these to make potion ingredients.”

“Why can’t you do the alchemy”, you ask her confused.

“Oh simple,” she says, “My ability lets me analyze anything and see possible uses for it, but just because I know the use of it doesn’t mean I would be good at it. Besides I was never the best at alchemy. In straight up magic I excel, but alchemy was always a bit of a sore spot for me.”

You go to ask more, but are interrupted by the sound of running men. From the woods Tiberius and his men enter looking rather grim and carrying a couple of rabbits, squirrels and a boar.

“Merric remember what I said about how you can never be too careful. I was right we were out hunting a deer and before we could attack it three arrows were shot in front of us. We looked all around and we couldn’t see or sense them. What do you believe we should do?”

“Well we really can’t do much today as it looks like the day is almost up and I assume that it would most likely be unsafe to be out after dark in a strange new land with possibly hostile natives. So I suggest we head to sleep before we do anything. However that doesn’t stop us from planning things out so I think we should…”

“We should try to establish communications with the natives, get started on building those houses, and try to supplement our food supplies with some fish from both the lake and the ocean.”

With that planned out you head to your tent. You were one of the lucky ones in that you were able to have a tent to yourself. You set out your bed roll on the ground and fall into the realm of sleep.

You awaken to the sound of sawing and see that people have already begun to work upon the plan that you set out. There are a number of people sitting by the lake fishing with either make shift rods or magic. As you walk about the campsite you see that the first house has begun to have work done on it and should be done by the end of the day.

From the woods one of the scouts come running and calls after you. You walk over and he asks you to follow him and rushes back into the forest. You follow behind him quickly and you are brought to a small clearing with Tiberius and his scouting party. However, they are not the only ones their as in front of them is a party of people in furs armed with bows and spears. Suddenly there is movement from the bushes on the native side and a women with a large staff walks over to the group. She says something in an unintelligible tongue before waving her staff. From the staff a green light comes forth.

“Now you foreigners should be able to understand me”, she says, “I am the chief of the Joni tribe. Why are you here taking our trees and animals.

You wake up in the morning surrounded by the other people. You gently step around their bodies so you can get out of the house. While you didn’t exactly wish to return to the conditions of the ship you didn’t want to spend another night in the tent. You head out the door using your wind magic to make sure you close the door gently. When you get out the scouting party and the gathering party are just heading out. You wave them good bye and begin to prepare for the guests you shall soon have.

After a couple of hours, long enough for the housing crew to get started on the first house, the chief arrives. She is followed by a fox with constantly changing eyes, and a white raven on her shoulders. You realize that they must be her familiars with a shock. Most people have only one familiar and while Tiberius, Angelica, and yourself all have more than one familiar Tiberius and Angelica have more due to their nature.

“Greetings Merric Fellus”, she begins stopping in front of you, “I have come to talk about the terms of our agreement. First off I would ask that you try to take logs from the beach side of the forest and then replant and regrow them. Second I ask that you don’t expand to deep into the forest, at least for now. Finally we wish that you assist us in dealing with our enemies.”

You go to ask her to elaborate on the enemies’ issue, but then you hear people rushing into the campsite. You turn to the woods and see that Tiberius is returning with the scout force missing 10 people. In addition to this they are followed by the gatherer party which has fearful faces and also has missing members.

“Merric sorry to interrupt this”, says Tiberius as he walks over to you, “we were attacked by beast kin win the woods they managed to kill 10 of the civilians and 5 of my men.”

“Ah so you have had a run in with the Lupus”, she says looking over at you, “They are the enemies that I was speaking of. I have an offer to make to you. Let us begin our peace now and strike at them. This way you can take your vengeance. Is this satisfying to you?”

You walk over to the scouting party and join with them. Inio leads you and the party into the woods. You come upon a spot in the woods that has bodies lying around. 5 of them are normal humans, but two of them have wolf ears and tails. You continue to follow Inio promising yourself that the fallen shall be avenged. Finally, you begin to hear voices, see smoke at the edge of the tree line, and feel moving wind disturbances. The people in the town begin to panic and run around. The arriving hunter drops the boar and the rushes over to the tornado. You begin to feel him struggling against you and you drop the tornado and rush in with the other fighters.

The beastkin rush over to attack you, but they are met by Tiberius who rushes into the battle. His hawk begins to shoot a number of them with bolts of mana. He is joined by an imposing suit of black armor that wields a blade identical to his. The two of them begin to cut through the numbers of the beastkin.

You see that Chief Amala and her familiars are also attacking the beast kin. She is firing beams of light that devastate the enemy reducing their force quickly. Despite that fact they always attack the wrong spot. Its then that you notice that there seems to be a magical aura around her coming from her fox. Paying closer attention you notice that when the try to strike it flares up and she moves just enough to avoid being hit.

You rush in to help, but are meet by a dark cloud of smoke. You blow away all the smoke and see the hunter looking shocked and angered. He growls in a unrecognizable language and a wolf emerges from the smoke and begins to snarl at you. From his hands claws emerge and he begins to charge you.

With the wolf taken care of Swift proceeds to kick the wolf in the face. The hunter stumble visibly angry now and resumes his barrage.

“Thank you for such a high honor”, you say before you look over the remains of the village. You consider chasing after the Beastkins that fled, but considering the amount that you got a few stragglers means nothing. You release the hold you had on the beastkin and remove the air from his body and he falls unconscious. You hold his body with your wind magic and toss him over with the others.

You and the scouts go through the village and gather all gather goods from around the town. What you come up with food for another week. Also, among the goods you find some furs and pelts that have been finely made. However the best item is found in the hunter’s tent. In there you find a finely crafted bow that seems to be made of a fine wood. Teberius picks it up and pulls the string back and on it a blood red arrow is formed on the bow. In shock he lets go of the bow and the arrow dissipates. With the looting done you return to the center of the town.

“Thank you for your assistance this day”, says the chief as she nods her head to you, “We would like to invite you to a victory celebration to be held in the village. Will you do us an honor and except this?’

“Yes we will love to accept your offer”, you says with a smile, “However, I first must bring the Lupus to our village. Also, would it be ok if I brought one more person with us? She would be our head of research and I feel that it would be a great benefit if we were to have her with us.”

“That would work well in the favor of both of us”, she replies looking rather pleased, “for you see at the celebration I would like to bring up a possible treaty between our people.”

With that she walks off into the woods and her men follow behind her. Together the natives vanish into the brush and fade away. You and Tiberius gather up the men and guide the remaining Lupus tribe members to the village. Though they are rather unwilling to go they are forced into movement by the men’s weapons, magic, and fear. When you return to the village many of the people perk up at the sight of the returning men and women. Evan more smile at the sight of the captives you allow Tiberius to care for them and head off to find Angelica. When you find her you see that she is standing by the lake examining the waters.

“Greetings Angelica”, you say causing her to look up from the water, “we have been invited to a victory celebration at the natives’ village.”

“Oh that’s delightful”, she responds with a smile on her face, “However, there are two questions I have. First, are you inviting me for the purpose of poisoning them? Second, what are we to do with the captives?”

A. Yes
B. No

A. They shall be made into slaves
B. No they shall be uplifted
C. No they shall be sent back to Brucarius
>>

B. No
Poison is for women and eunuchs. Real men kill with steel.

A. They shall be made into slaves
They dared to attack us and have to pay for that. Still, give them a chance to earn their freedom in some way.
>>

>B. No
Well, not yet. We need to know if they can truly be trusted first.
>B. No, they shall be uplifted
The colony needs people who know the land and we took a hit.
>>
“No Angelica we shall not be poisoning them”, I say sighing.

“I just had to make sure we weren’t going to use Brucarian diplomacy”, as she says this she begins to walk into town.

“Also, in regards to your second question they shall be used as slaves just as they were back in Brucarius”, you say catching up to her.

“Well that’s all well and good, but we will have to watch them carefully until we make an area for slaves”, she says with a thoughtful look on her face. You nod and meet with Tiberius at the edge of the forest. You are met by a group of natives who guide you to their village. The village is similar to how the other village was, but the inhabitants are all humans.

“Greetings”, comes Chief Amala’s voice from behind you. You turn around and see that she is wearing a large headdress made of leaves and feathers. “You have arrived just in time for the feast come and sit with us. Before you is a large low to the ground table piled with all sorts of food ones that you recognize and ones that you don’t. You sit down at the right of the chief and she stands up causing silence to fall in the clearing.

“Today we have one a great victory over our enemies. The lie broken and the lands that they stole from us have been returned to us. This is all thanks to these foreigners who have assisted us in this”, at her words a cheer goes up and people begin to eat. “Now that that is out of the way we can work on a treaty between our people. I would like to suggest that we aid each other in the future, but don’t step on each other’s toes. What do you say to that?”

If it does not we could as was renegotiate.”

“No Merric”, she says with a smile, “that would be rather agreeable. Now let us enjoy this feast.”

You take her advice and spend the rest of the night drinking, eating, and socializing. Thanks to your actions earlier you and Tiberius are getting plenty of looks from the native woman, and the two of you even take some offers to dance. Angelica also gets some attention from the local men, though they are lass subtly and crowd around her. After a couple of glare were thrown over her way by the local women she excuse herself and you and Tiberius join her.
When you get back you are tired and exhausted you barely manage to get out the plan for tomorrow before falling asleep.

You head outside in the morning fully rest. You examine the camp and see that things have begun to come together rather well considering the short amount of time that has been spent here. You decide to head over to where the guards are watching the new slaves to see if any of them managed to escape last night. As you head over you see that you managed to get her in time for the rotation of the guard.

“Good morning Merric”, says Tiberius joining you in front of the area where the Lupus are being held, “I see you are checking in on the captives.”

“Yes I just wanted to make sure that none of them managed to escape in the middle of the night”, I reply looking over at him.

“So Merric what will the distribution of the slaves be like”, he says looking over at you.

You go to speak, but are interrupted by the sound of growling and snarling. You look over to identify the source of the sound and see that it is the hunter that you subdued yesterday.

“We can use them for labor once they are trained properly”, you say as you head over to where the hunter is being held, “Now I’ll go take care of him.”

As you arrive the men on guard duty nod to you, “Hello sir what is it that you want?”

“I am here to teach that one a lesson”, you say pointing at the hunter. At your words he begins to struggle more. At his struggles the guards hit him again and he stumbles over once again. They hand you the rope that was binding his hands and allow you to walk off to a corner of the camp with the new slave in tow.

You stop once you reach the side of the lake and look back to the camp. Seeing that you are a safe distance away you let of the rope and hold him with your air magic. He tries to struggle, but his injuries from last time and make it hard for him to resist you. With the hunter in front of you ideas for his training come to mind.

“Let’s make sure that you understand how things are to be around here”, you say looking down at the former hunter. “You are now a slave, and as such you are at the bottom of the totem pole.”

He looks defiantly at you with those words and for his defiance you give him a light lashing with the air under your control. He cries out in pain and looks down resuming his look of fear. He turns his eyes downcast and begins to become more subservient in his actions.

“That’s better”, you say looking down at him, “Don’t do things such as that again and you won’t have to worry about being hurt again. Now remember this you are at the bottom of the totem pole. However, you don’t have to stay at the bottom of the pole. If you serve well and faithfully you can be raised higher.”

He looks at this thoughtfully and you get prepared to say more on the subject.
However, before you got the chance you hear a load noise from the main area of camp. You rush back to camp dragging the former hunter behind you. When you arrive you see that people are shouting excitedly around the lake.
Angelica walks over to you with a smile on her face and a strange crystal in her hand.

“Hello Merric I see that you are training one of the beastkin to be a slave. I have some good news for you. While people were working on making bricks, we made a lot of them by the way, we managed to find something amazing. We found these crystals on the shores of the lake. I don’t know exactly what they do yet, but they maybe be something great yet.”

“Well that’s great Angelica how long do you think it will take to analyze it?”

“Well to be honest it takes a different amount of time for each item so I don’t know. However I shall get started on working on it immediately.”

With that she rushes over to her makeshift lab. You decide to set up the plan for tomorrow and head off to sleep after putting the hunter back with the rest of the slaves.

You wake in the morning and walk outside to look over the lake. You look over to see that Angelica is still hard at work. Everyone once and a while you hear her shout out in excitement. Remembering how she gets when someone interrupts her you decide to check on the slaves again. Walking over to the place where they are being held you notice that a pen is being made to contain them all.

“Ah there you are Merric”, shouts Tiberius as he stomps over to you, “I have been looking all over for you. You see we have run into a small problem regarding the slaves. A single pen won’t be enough to hold them. We will need a number of things. For starters more or a bigger pens. Next we should get some sort of method of restraining them, either mentally or physically. Also, given we shall now have a pen for them who should we put in it. We could fit in 25 slaves before it becomes a possible health risk.”

“Ok just let me think a little bit”, you say as you look over the huddled slaves. They are huddled to gether in a sort of ring. The men are on the outside protecting the women, children, and elders on the inside. However all of them are dirty, and some of them are injured thanks to the fight. You have been lucky so far as none of them have fallen ill, but that still remains a possibility. You turn back to Tiberius, “I think we should….”

If they work hard they can get better accommodations and be with their children. If they don’t obey we could always just execute their children. That should keep them in line, at least for the moment.”

Tiberius looks at you with a little surprise then laughs, “Wow I did not expect that out of you Merric. This whole trip you have been nothing, but surprises. I expected you to be just a coin counter of some kind, but no you can be rather ruthless.”

“I personally prefer to think of it as pragmatism. I don’t do what I do out of malice just to make sure things happen as they should. Also, I believe I should talk to them to make sure that they now what their position is here.” As you say this you begin to walk over to the slaves.

You head over to the pen and look over the slaves. Tibirius follows and directs the guards to remove the children and elderly. The slaves put up a fight, but the Tiberius intervenes and prevents them from moving with his blood magic. You walk over to the slave area and look over them. Seeing you the men and women become fearful and begin to huddle closer together.

“You are all slaves from this point on”, you begin to say to the slaves as you walk in front of the slave area. “As you are slaves you are at the bottom of the totem. However, that’s not the end for you if you serve well a faithfully you may potentially rise up. However, more tangibly you will be able to be with the children as long as you behave.” As you say this you gesture to the children, which catches their attention. Despite the barrier of tongues between them and you they understand that you are holding them hostage for their behavior.

Following this you begin to guide them in a number of different tasks. You force them to chop down some trees and help build the pen that would hold their children. They do manage to do a decent job, but every once in a while they preform rebellious actions such as making the pen poorly. When you are finished with them you feel that they understand that their lives are in your hands, but the language barrier is a hard one to cross

As you walk around you consider the possibility of getting Chief Amala to teach you the spell that she uses to speak to others with. You look around the camp and consider what should be in for the plan for tomorrow as you return to the house you have been sleeping in.

Once again you wake up in the shared home and head outside. You look out over the lake as you have done for the past couple of days. The calm waters bring peace to your mind despite the strange scents and sounds coming from Angelica’s corner of the camp. Though you do notice what few people that are up are avoiding her area. You head over to the camp and see that Tiberius is already the slave holding area and he looks annoyed. Fearing an incident you rush over to Tiberius.

“What is it Tiberius”, you say looking around to see if anything was wrong.

“Some of the slaves tried to escape. They failed of course, but the still tried and that in and of its self is aggravating”, he says sighing.

“They tried to escape knowing what we could do to their children and elders?” I ask looking over at him.

“No on the contrary”, he replies annoyed, “they thought that they could free the children. If you want to punish the perpetrators they’re over there”, he says as points over at a group of 5 beastkin men who look both fearful and angry.

All these slaves are a good thing to have, but we will surely need a translator or something to make the best use from them.
>>
You walk over to the rebels and look over them. Noticing your presence their fear increases and they begin to radiate fear. You stop when they are directly on top of them and look down. You pick them up in a small whirlwind and walk a bit away from the slave holding area.

“For what you did you shall be punished. However, I want you to know that this whole situation could have been avoided”, as you say this you begin to rain blows upon them with the wind under your control. While they are small cuts located only on the back the sheer number of wounds you inflict causes them intense pain. When you are done you carry them back the way that you brought them. The slaves see what you did to them and they begin to fear you more.

Leaving the situation in the hands of Tiberius you walk over to the village of the natives. While the walk is by no means short you manage to make good time by summoning swift and casting gale step. When you make it to the village you look around and see that Chief Amala is walking around and talking to her villagers. She looks up and notices you and begin to walk over to you.

“Ah Merric what brings you here”, she says coming to a stop in front of you.

“Oh it is nothing much I just would like to know if you could teach me that spell that you used to understand us”, you say looking around the camp and seeing that many of the natives are going around tending to fields, talking around fires, and other activities.

“Oh you wished to learn tongues. It is easy to learn. As a sign of goodwill I shall teach it to you as my predecessor taught me”, as she takes this she takes your hands.

You suddenly feel a flood of knowledge flowing through you, and are instantly filled with knowledge. Among the bits of information you pick up how to perform the technique. How the technique is preformed is that you must first hear a language. Once you have heard it you can cast the spell with a quick burst of mana. Doing this will allow you to understand them and for them to hear what you’re saying as their language. However, due to its nature as a spell that affects others it can fail if people are properly warded.

You thank her and dash back to the village. Unfortunately when you get back to the village it is on fire. Or more accurately just part of the new slave pen. Apparently, two of the people working on the lave pen got into an argument and it resulted in one of them lashing out and accidentally burning it a bit. While it is not destroyed it is structurally weaker than the other one, and will remain as such unless you fix it.

Mildly annoyed you head over to Tiberius and teach him the spell. When you are done he thanks you and moves over to his men and begins to teach it to them so they can better handle the thieves. You consider going over to tell Angelica, but the sounds coming from over where she is discourage you. You set out the plan for the settlement and head back to the town. Before you head in you realize that tomorrow the ships begin their journey back meaning that it would have been your fist week in the new world.

You walk over to the pens and catch Tiberius as he is talking to somebody. Seeig you he waves you over and you join him by the slave area

“We can place the women in the new pen. For added assurance and to make sure escape would be a bit more difficult”, you say looking over at them.

“That makes sense”, he says as he looks over them with you. “So do you have any plans for them today?”

“Yes I am going to train them”, you reply thinking of the spell that Chief Amala gave you to be able to speak to them.

You walk over to the slave area and have them open up the pens with the children. All the children rush to be with their parents. However, you stop them with your winds. Looking at you with fear, confusion, and anger they all stare at you silently.

“Now before you can be together”, you begin causing many of the slaves to gasp in surprise that you can speak their language, “I just want to set some simply rules. All of my people are above you. If we order you to do something we shall do it. Is that understood?”

“You can’t control us like that”, shouts one feisty man. You look over at him and fling a quick pain curse over at him. He doubles over in pain and when he tries to scream it just increases his pain due to the nature of the curse being activated by sound. He falls twitching and unconscious and you look over at the slaves fear growing in your eyes.

“As you can see I have the ability to cause you pain that won’t even leave a single mark with a wave of my hand. Do you see what you are dealing with now?” The slaves nod in fear and you remove the wind barrier. “However, it doesn’t have to be this way. As long as you serve properly and respectfully it doesn’t have to be this way.” As you say this you cancel the winds allowing the children to be with their families. “As long as you serve you can all be together.”

After giving them a couple of minutes to be together you separate them once more. With that demonstration given you believe that they have learned their lesson. Suddenly you hear another argument ringing out in the camp. You rush over and it is the same people for yesterday. Once again the pen is damaged, but not broken. Luckily, the people on fishing duty have much better luck and manage to bring in a large haul.

“Hey Merric”, you hear a voice cry out. You turn and see that the captain has his men bringing in the crystal. “Where do you want this thing?” You direct them to put it in the center of the town in front of the lake. As everyone gathers around you call Tiberius and Angelica over.

“How should we align the crystal?” you ask as you look over it.

“Well we could align it so it enhances research, replenishes resources, and increases mana. Increasing ambient mana would make spells cast in the area more effective and powerful”, she says looking over at the crystal.

“Or we could use the crystal to create a shield around the area”, says Tiberius looking over at you.

“Well yes that is an option, but it is all up to you”, says Angelica also looking towards you.

Choose one

A. Research boost
B. Resource replenishing
C. Increasing ambient mana
D. shield
>>

Let's begin with the shield. We're in a jungle, so there would be a lot of dangerous stuff going on.
Plus, it might help with keeping the slaves contained. Running away isn't too easy if there is a magical shield in your way.
>>
>>1057796
>D. shield
>>
“I suggest that we go with the shield”, you reply looking at both of them, “We still aren’t exactly sure of the dangers here and having such a shield could help us greatly.”

The two of them nod and you walk over to the crystal. The three of you surround the crystal and allow your energy to flow into the crystal. As you do so you feel Tiberius and Angelica’s energies joining you. It flows into the crystal and you suddenly feel power inside of it. Then you and the two of them direct the energy it a shield that surrounds the city. As to not cause issues you form it in such a way that it can be expanded as it needs to.

With the crystal aligned energy emerges from it. The energy flows around the camp and it slowly flows into a dome. The dome appears as a light green before fading away from sight. The people of the new settlement begin to cheer before you wave them down and begin to speak.

“Today marks the end of our first week here in the new land. Already we have been incredibly successful in our time here. We have made an alliance with the Joni people, had a victory of the Lupus tribe and made them our slaves. Now this day marks the beginning of our time as a true colony. However, first we must have a name. A name that shall proclaim our strength to the world. That name shall be…..”

At some point in the night Chief Amala and some of her tribe members come in. They join you and your people in the celebrations. Although many of your people are uncomfortable around them the scouts begin to talk and dance with them leading to more mingling among the people. However, the celebration comes to a close after a while. Before you head to sleep you give out the orders for tomorrow.

You manage to wake up without too much of a struggle and head outside. Outside is a different story as there are people just lying on the ground and stumbling around. You decide to ignore them and head over to see Angelica. You see that she is just sitting around looking at one of the crystals.

“Hello Merric”, she says without looking at you, “Could you please cast that language spell on this crystal for me?”

You do as such and place your hands on the crystal. The spell is sucked into the crystal and you don’t feel any of the effects.

Today you decide to work on is obedience to make sure he hasn’t gotten any idea due to your absence. You untie him and order him to walk around. His eyes widen at his realization that he can understand you. His eyes look around for a couple of seconds before light dies in his eyes. He gets up and walks around as you order him. You order him to perform a number of other meaningless tasks, but the purpose is done.

With his will being broken you head back into camp. As you look over the camp you see that the slave pen the women are in has gotten repaired. It no longer shows the damages from the fires and looks strong and sturdy. You decide to reward the ex-hunter by allowing him to have a little freedom. He summons his wolf and begins to run around with it for a while before he heads back to the pen.

“Thank you master for allowing me to have that time”, you hear him say as he walks into the pen. With those words you realize that he has truly been broken and give a small smile. You walk over to the town crystal and examine it. While you are doing as such you notice that some of the citizens are carrying a large amount of crystals. You look on in amazement as you see that they begin to pile the crystals up. When they finish you see that they have piled up 20 more crystals. With today’s success in mind you plan out tomorrow.

You head out in the morning and check on the slaves as you have been recently. Once again they have been rather well behaved and they did not try to escape. It seems that the fact that the leader has submitted has made it so they have less of a desire to resist and are just accepting their fate.

“Okay could you please say a couple of words for me?”

You turn to see that Angelica is standing in front of a small beastkin child. He begins to talk about how he is hungry and cold, but he is interrupted by Angelica walking away. She heads back to her corner mumbling to herself the whole while, and not at once acknowledging you.

You then continue on to the main area and stop in front of the crystal. You think to yourself that it is time that you find out the skills of the rest of the settlers. You head back to your stuff and get an pen some ink and paper, and head out around the settlement.

As you head out around town you ask people what they did back in Brucarius. You are impressed with what you find. Among the 20 couples of them 13 of them were farmers who lost land in the recent rebellions and 7 of them were people who had some experience with fishing. Out of the single males you found that 11 of them were blacksmiths, 11 were merchants, and 6 of them were carpenters. In addition to that you find it useful to note that 6 of the men were devotees of Fate, a god whose servants controlled the nation of Casus.

As you finish that you note that things are going smoothly. The new slave pen is repaired and the remaining damaged one is repaired. In addition to that another house was able to be made. However, this leaves you with no logs left. As you contemplate the issue you see Tiberius walking over to you.

“Ah Merric thank you for making those slave pens”, he say with a smile, “This way I can work on things other just watching slaves. Though I still will have to leave at least 10 men guarding it I can return to my other duties.”

The two of you talk for a couple of minutes more. While you are walking you consider that talking to Angelica, but the noises encourage you to stay away. The two of you end your walk by discussing the plans for tomorrow.

You walk over to the other shore and see that Tiberius is training with a number of the scouts. As you watch he puts them through a number of drills both physical and magical.

Seeing that the training is going well you decide to take care of the recent issue that has come up. You decide to join the people who were heading out to go gather lumber. They notice your presence and they wave to you. Waving back you head over to the beach. When you get to the beach you look over the area and begin to chop down trees with your wind.

After you have cut down some trees you feel 5 presences on the wind. Allowing yourself to fully embrace the wind and then you feel them. 5 medium sized beastkin trying to sneak up on you and failing. Getting ready to handle an annoyance you prepare to strike.

You wait a couple of seconds for them to charge at you, and they don’t disappoint. They all rush at you recklessly and the second they step onto the sand you form a wall of wind. They slam into the wall and are knocked back. Most of them go flying back into the woods. However, one of them gets up and rushes the wall again. With a fierce howl she tears through it with a blade that appears in her hands.

“Die you murderer”, she shouts with a fierce shout as she dashes over to you. She begins to slash wildly at you while you calmly dodge her strikes.

“Well if we are going to be factual I killed nobody”, you reply dancing through her slashes which tear at the ground.

“Shut up”, she yells her strikes growing faster and faster. Suddenly, her blade bends and manages to cut you. A small trickly of blood begins to flow from the wound as you look over at her. Her friends rush up to her and join her. Two of them look like male copies of her each also with a weapon in hand. Another boy walks over with lightning running down his body.

“You shall pay for your crimes against our people”, says a girl with oddly white hair and fur. She grabs the blade that is slung over her back and coats it with a dark energy. With that done she and the rest charge you.

You cast tornado catching them back in the whirling vortex of air. The wind slashes and tears at them as it whirls around. However, the male triplet that managed to attack you earlier has avoided the strike. He charges at you once more waving his sword with wild strikes. With the situation as it is now you can see that he is not moving based on any form of training. However, he is moving purely on his animalistic instincts.

“Ferrus do it now”, comes the voice of the female triplet over the roaring winds. Hearing her voice he stops moving and stabs his sword into the sand turning it to solid earth. He then makes a pose that I remember Tiberius making on occasion. Then it hits me it is a pose used to cast blood magic. I remember that water and earth which makes up blood also are components of steel. I try to quickly escape, but he managed to get the spell off.

You try to move but your body doesn’t obey you anymore. With your body fighting the invasion of foreign mana you end up dropping the tornado. Those caught in the tornado fall into the sand once again. They quickly get up and walk past the triplet casting the spell.

“Now slaver you die and out people shall be free”, says the dark magic using girl. She raises her blade once more and coats it with dark energy. The lightning user stands by her and gathers electricity in his palms. The two twins who form blades once more and swing them down at you.

It manages to hit three of the escapees square on. The three you hit fly back and fall to the ground. Their bodies twitch a little before becoming still. Luckily for you they are still breathing.

“You hurt our sisters”, says the remaining triplets in unison, “now you pay for your crimes.”

“I guess I will stop playing around now”, you say looking over at the triplets

“What do you mean….” the triplets try to ask before a bolt of wind strikes them in the face

“I will say it is impressive that you managed to give me that much of a problem. However, at the same time I won’t you to know that I never once used my full power. If I had did as such you wouldn’t have stood a chance. Though I will say that it was a good work out for me.”

You look at over the battlefield and the logs you harvested earlier. You examine the beastkin youths to make sure they are still alive and you toss them onto the logs. Using your wind magic you lift the logs and walk back to the town. When you return you see that the other harvesters have also returned bringing in a good haul.

“Who are the kids?” asks Tiberius as he walks over to you.

“I guess they were the survivors of the battle”, you reply, “No idea why they weren’t fighting as they gave me more trouble than that hunter.”
“Interesting I guess we need to keep an eye on them. Possibly create some kind of mage suppressing prison or at the very least a prison.”

The two of you begin to chat for a couple of minutes as. Once you are done you get your plan ready for tomorrow.

You are awakened by the sound of an explosion that rocks the settlement. You rush outside and see that a purple ooze is flowing from where Angelica was preforming her experiments. She herself is floating above the mess with an annoyed expression on her face. You quickly rush over, but she raises her hands for you to halt.

“Don’t touch that”, she says pointing toward the purple ooze, “It is miasma if you touch it you will fall sick.”

“What happened”, you asked as you look over the miasma.

“Well I was working on the crystal and then when someone came over to bring me food and knocked over some of my materials. They had a negative reaction with the crystal and it exploded creating this mess. It is essentially a toxic sludge that would be less than fun to touch. So I would suggest not touching it.”

“Well is there anything I can do to help”, you ask examining the sludge.

“Well I could clean this up in three days by myself if need be. However if everybody helped it could most likely be done today. However, whatever we do it will most likely require me using most of the crystals to store it.”

“I’ll help you out with this Angelica”, you say as you begin to use your wind magic to collect the ooze.

“Oh thank you Merric”, she says looking rather pleased, “So what we need to do is gather up the miasma and place it inside of an empty crystal. While this can be dangerous it is the only way we can at the moment.”

With that the two of you get to work cleaning the Miasma. You work rather hard and manage to clean up most of the miasma, but some of it manages to enter the water and begins to float around. When Angelica tries to use her magic to remove it the ooze glows and expands, so the two of you just let it be. By the time you are done the resource crews have returned and they bring a decent haul of crystals allowing you to replace the ones you used. They also, manage to bring in a good amount of wood.

“What happened here”, asks Tiberius as he comes back to the settlement from leading a hunt.

“Experiment blew up and now we are cleaning”, replies Angelica.

“Glad I wasn’t here for that”, he says walking around with you all. The three of you chat and with the work done together you plan for tomorrow.

You get up and walk over to Angelica’s corner of the settlement and begin to help her clean the area.

“So what exactly was the ingredient that caused all this to happen”, you ask as you form miasma filled air pockets and transfer them to crystals.

“Well I don’t exactly know what it was, but I think it was this fertilizer that I got in Brucarius. I was going to use it to assist in farming, but as it has become miasma I can’t do that anymore”, as she says this she sighs and looks over at the Miasma covered area. The two of you work quickly and clear out the miasma in time for the scouting party to return.

“Well we decided to head over to the cliffs that we saw by the beach”, begins Tiberius as he gives his report, “We found that there is a supply of crystals in the cliff. In addition to that we found signs of some kind of civilization up on the cliff tops, but that was all.”

Soon the resources party comes back in. The log gathering team does a rather good job and manages to pull in a good amount. However, the team looking for alchemical items has a rather bad time. They were not able to get much as they ran into miasma somehow. However, the strangest fact about that was that the miasma was moving and feeding on the alchemical herbs. Worried you tell them to stay on lookout and plan for tomorrow.

When you get up you put the issue of the miasma out of your mind. You walk over to the lake and admire the beauty that it holds. You look over to Angelica’s corner and see her hard at work. The ground around her area was stained a dark purple thanks to the miasma, but other than that it doesn’t seem to be having much of an effect on the area.

You decide to begin your duties for the day and head over to the slave pens. You see that the newly captured slaves are having a hard time getting used to their new lives, but they have not yet managed to escape. While you are over there you see that the guards are working on training. In addition to that the pen with the children is getting work don on it.

“Did you enjoy it”, you ask continuing into the forests.

“More than anything”, he responds with more excitement in his voice.

“Good I would like you to go and hunt for me. You can go as far as you want, but know I can find you anywhere”, you say.

With a smile on his face he rushes out to go hunting. You can sense that he rushes through the forest leaping through the woods. After a couple of minutes he comes back with a boar carried over his shoulders. The two of you walk back into camp, and though he goes back in the cage he looks happier than he was before. You can see that children’s pen has been improved.

“Sir Merric come quickly”, you sir a settler rushing over to you and you go to follow him. When you get to where he wanted to go you see that the building work for the town hall has barely begun.

“What happened her”, you ask looking over to the site.

“When we were building some miasma appeared and so we stopped”, says one of the workers.

You go to ask him more about it when you see the purple stains that signify miasma. Confused you go to talk to Angelica, but she has no answer for you. Deciding to put it away from you mind you plan out tomorrow.

When you head outside you hear a cheer of excitement coming from Angelica. You head over and see Angelica smiling happily in front of a crystal.

“I did it Merric”, she shouts, “I found a way to use these crystals as a translator device. With these crystals it makes it so you don’t have to continuously cast the spell. This will save so much time and mana. I also, we could sell it over to the empire.”

“Well that is pretty good”, you reply, “Well I’m going to go investigate the whole miasma issue.”

“Ah yes the whole deal with the random spots of miasma”, she replies thoughtfuly, “That could be an issue at some point. Well anyway stay safe.”

You head over to the town hall base where the miasma was last spotted and begin the investigation.

As you analyze the miasma you sense that it has traces of wind magic inside of it. With that you begin to trace the wind energy in the miasma and begin to follow it around the settlement. The trail is faded, but it allows you track it well. The path leads over to Angelica’s lab and by the water. Confused you follow the trail and end up at the other side if the lake. When you get to the end of the trail you come to a stream.

You follow the stream and end up at a little pond. It is a strange grotto with extraordinarily green trees and crystal blue waters, at least where the miasma has not yet touched. Suddenly you hear a splashing sound and you look around. At first it seems as if there was nobody around and then you notice that there is a small bubble of water moving around

Before you can do anything the bubble rises up from the water and forms into a humanoid shape. It is soon joined by a bunch of others who move over towards the miasma. From the miasma rises a number of similar looking creatures who are dark purple. Strangely enough the purple creatures have a magical aura and shape similar to Angelica’s. One of the purple creatures walks over to the blue ones and raises its hands. The miasma flows around the creature and into the blue creature. As the miasma flows into it the creature changes from blue to purple and begins to take Angelica’s shape. The creatures seem to have a silent cheer and begin to play around.

Seeing these creatures you decide to head back to the camp. Stepping away from the bushes that you were hiding in you begin the trek back to the camp. You make quick time and don’t get interrupted by anything. When you get back to camp you make it back in time to see the people who were sent to gather crystals have returned. Ignoring them you head over to Angelica’s corner.

“Hey Angelica”, you say as you walk over to her, “We may have a problem.”

“What is it”, she asks turning away from her work.

“Well I found out where the Miasma trails have been coming from. I tracked them back to a nearby pond that comes from a stream that brakes off from the lake. When I got there I found that there was some strange blue creatures and dark purple creatures. The dark purple creatures had the ability to control the miasma and when a blue creature touched the miasma they became purple”, you tell her.

At this information she looks at you in surprise, “what do you mean they could absorb the miasma. It should be harmful to any living creature. I must see this immediately.”

Suddenly there is a commotion as the scouts rush into the camp. Tiberius walks over to you swiftly and when he gets over to you there is a frown on his face.

“We were attacked as we entered the cliffs”, he says, “None of us were killed but 5 people were injured while they took no casualties. They struck from above with the sun to their back. “For now we will leave them alone”, you say looking over at Tiberius, “We can’t mount an offensive properly if we don’t have the men or knowledge.”

“While we are at it”, you say turning over to Angelica, “I would like you to start researching that miasma. If it can do that we need to make sure we are safe with it.”

The both of them nod and you head to the house you share with a number of other villagers. You quickly fall off to sleep once you lay down. When you awaken you head out and see the lake. You look over too Angelica’s section and see that she has bottles of miasma beside her, and every once and a while she looks over them. The sound of shouting people soon catches your attention and you walk over to see that Tiberius is fiercely training his men.

“We can’t let what happened yesterday repeat itself”, he shouts encouraging them to work harder. While you’re watching you notice that one of them is preforming rather well. He is an archer and as you watch he proceeds to hit the target dead on every time. You make a mental note to talk to him later and head over to the stream.

The first thing that you notice about it is that the miasma doesn’t seem to be spreading, at least not yet. It has not advanced from where you saw it yesterday, if anything it may have receded. When you get to the pond you crouch in the bushes and what to see what you can learn.

At first it seems they are just playing around in the water. The creatures are all splashing water on each other and have joyful expressions on their face the whole time. It is then that you notice that they seem to grow with how much water they absorb, at least the blue ones do. The dark purple ones only grow after being submerged in the miasma for some time. The two groups, despite the differences between the two of them seem to get along rather well. The creatures if each group play with the other, although the blue ones seem wary to step into the miasma.

On the miasma it has begun to change the half of the pond it covers. The vines on the miasma side have become the same purple of the slimes. The miasma coated side seems more hostile that the non-miasma coated side. In addition to this there have been no animals on the miasma side.

You decide to end you examinations of the creatures and head back to camp. When you get back you see that another of the slave pens has been improved while on of them has been damaged. You get up out of bed and begin your morning rituals. The miasma has yet to spread and you have become rather hopeful that it shall remain as such. Thinking of the miasma reminds you of your encounter with the creature so you head over to talk to Angelica. When you get to her corner you can see that she is hard at work testing a number of different things.

“Merric please don’t interrupt me with anything unrelated or unimportant”, she says without even looking over at you.

“Trust me it is none of those things”, you reply, “yesterday I was teaching one of the slaves how to speak and I ran into one of the creatures. Instead of attacking me it was listening to my lesson and trying to speak.”

“First of all you really aren’t the best person to teach people. Secondly, that is rather interesting. Based on what you just said they have a rudimentary intelligence. Third I am going to work on a name for these creatures. We can’t just keep calling them creatures that would get annoying quickly.”

With that she waves you away and you head over to the slave pens. Today you want to train them so you ……..

You gather all of the slaves and take them with you. You head over to the training area and look over them.

“Do you understand what your position is here?” As you ask them this you begin to pace around them. “You are slaves however, as I said earlier this is not an end. As I mentioned this is not the end for you. You have the potential to rise up in position. I would like all of you to think of you being her as an opportunity. Being here you can learn and grow stronger. By serving the people of this settlement and knowing your position you can gain enlightenment.”

The slaves look over at you for a couple seconds. Slowly they begin to nod in understanding. You begin to work with them for a couple more moments trying to get them to understand their place. When you are done you head back to the camp. Once again the pens have not been improved. Before you get the chance to say anything you hear shouting.

You turn and see that some of the guards are coming in bloodied. Tiberius walks over to you with the archer that you noticed about two days ago beside him.

“Merric don’t worry about anything”, he says looking over at you, “It was just some idiots who didn’t know how to avoid some animals. Though let it be said the creatures here are a bit tougher that the ones in Brucarius. Based on what happened today I think we will need to split up our forces and train harder.”

With that said the two of you plan things out. As he does so he introduces you to the archer who is a poison mage named Alexander Illis. He suggest that Alexander be put in charge of the scouts.

You wake up to shrieks across the settlement. You quickly rush outside and see a strange sight. A large number of the strange creatures are roaming around the town. You see that they are mainly heading over to Angelica’s corner. You quickly rush over to where she is and see that she is surrounded by them.

“Oh hello Merric could you use a little help her”, she says as they begin to move on her.

You try to rush over to her, but the presence of the creatures have made it more difficult. You look over to her and see that the blue creatures near her have begun to absorb the miasma bottles. The creatures giggle and transform into purple copies of her like the other ones. Suddenly they all move aside and one of them begins to slide over to Angelica.

“Maaaamaaa”, the creature warbles out as she wraps her arms around Angelica, “Maaaaamaaaaa maaaade uus smart. Thaaaank you maaaamaaa.” As you the creature says this you see that Angelica has a confused look on her face.

“I guess they must see me as a mother as the have had some of my mana in them. As I am their mother I think I shall name them Gelies. You head into the forest with the hunter following behind you. For starters the two of you follow behind the hunting party to see if they lead you anywhere. After a while though the two of you decide to branch out on your own. You two wander around for a while and come to a small clearing. The two of you sit down to rest for a while to see.

“Master there is a strange scent nearby”, says the hunter looking around and sniffing.

He begins to guide you over to a nearby clearing where you see some more beastkin. They have the lower body of a goat along with some goat horns on their heads. They begin to speak among themselves and you quickly cast the translator spell to understand them.

“Gerri why are we looking around for what did that to the Lupus”, asks the beastkin with the smaller horns.

“Simple whatever was able to do that to them could find us a repeat the process”, responds the larger horned creature, “Now be quite and get back to searching.”

The two creatures quite down and begin to examine the clearing.

“What are they”, you ask the hunter.

“They are the Capra tribe”, he responds looking over to you, “We were never on good terms with them so I would not expect retaliation over that.”

Dispite his assurances you are still warry. While they may not seek vengeance they could still attack you and right now you hold the upper hand. What do you think you should do?

“Whoa, there is no need to be hostile. I would just like to have a peaceful chat with you. My name is Merric Fellius and I am a representative of the people of America.”

“America”, says the one with smaller horns, “I’ve never heard of it.”

“Shut up Teri”, says Gerri as he turns to you, “First, of all what do you want? Secondly, why are you here? Finally, are your people the ones responsible for what happened to the Lupus?”

“Well I shall answer question in reverse order”, you respond to them, “First off we are responsible for what happened to them.” As you say this the two draw their bows at you. You once again raise your hands, “I will have you know that they attacked us first and we were just retaliating. The reason that we are here is to form a colony. However, we only want peace and we have recently begun trading with the Joni.”

The two of them stare at you for a couple more seconds before lowering their bows slightly.

“Fine then”, says Gerri, “However, know that we shall have our eyes on you and your people.” The two of them fade into the bush and disappear. With their disappearance your and the hunter head back to camp. When you get back you see that the hunters are back and brought in some food. Also, you see that the construction on the wall has not yet begun. When you ask around you learn that the Gelis got into the brick supply and the remaining bricks had to be moved. The harvest of crystals was also delayed due to the Gelis wanting to eat them. Annoyed you plan out to tomorrow.

When you wake you head over to the lake and look over the calm waters. You consider the existence of the Capra tribe and decide that you should talk to the Joni about the Capra tribe. They are a rather peaceful people that tend to keep to themselves. We ourselves tend to leave them alone, but we could lead you to their territory. On the matter of trade I guess we should put the resources that we have on the table. My people would most likely be willing to trade the pelts that we obtain in their hunts. In addition to that they may be willing to trade any pottery and beadwork that they make. Now what could your people offer this trade?”

“Well for starters we have recently found some crystals that can be used to store spells or mana. I think their use speaks for itself. We also have the ability to get you some weapons from Brucarius. These weapons would assist you in your hunts and with other tribes. Finally we could offer you assistance in matters of magic and alchemy”, you say looking around the camp.

As she says that she heads into the village to talk to some of the villagers who were standing around. With that done you walk out of the village and return to the settlement. When you get in you find that once again no work has been done on the slave pen. When you ask you learn that the same people were fighting. In addition to that due to the lowered amount of workers they have not been able to work as well. In regards to the crystals they just had bad luck finding them and the lowered workforce made it difficult. Luckily Alexander and his men have managed to find a spot that seems to be frequented by the Capra tribe. You gather Angelica, Tiberius, and Alexander and plan for tomorrow.

As you consider ways to split up the triplets you are interrupted by the sound of people marching into camp tiredly. You look over and see that the scouting force has returned minus the 20 women and Alexander.

One of the scouts walks over with a grim look on his face. “Sir Alexander and the women were captured by the Capra. They left us a note saying stay away if you wish to not lose any more.”

Tiberius who just walked over to you begins to radiate wrath from every pore of his body. In spots you can see dark plates begin to form along his body.

“Merric this can’t be ignored we must destroy them for this”, he says barely restraining his anger.

Well, if they're satyrs, I really do not want the girls to wait too long.
Damn horny goats.

They will expect us to prepare for an attack first. If we attack immediately, we will have the element of surprise on our side. Especially during night attacks.

You can’t tell whether the rage that you feel right now is natural or from Tiberius, but you don’t care. Right now the only thing that is on your mind is how the Capra tribe needs to pay for what they have done.

“Tiberius”, you say turning towards the man, “We shall move out as soon as we can.”

You turn and head towards the slave pen and raise the steel girl with your wind magic. You launch her back into the pen with a quick burst of wind magic. You then head over to Angelica’s corner and see her hard at work.

“Angelica could you please have your Gelis watch the slaves”, you ask her causing her to turn around, “Tiberius and I are going to be taking care of some business.”

“Fine, but I will use some of them as test subjects?” she asks looking at you.

“Fine then”, you say as you head out.

You join Tiberius and the 56 men that are with your force, and begin to head out. As you are marching out you realize that you could potentially ask the Joni to aid you.

You decide against it and head out into the woods. You and your men quickly advance into the forest keeping an eye out. Tiberius, guided by his rage manages to quickly find where the scouts were attacked by the Capra. Once you make it to the spot you begin to follow the trail. Suddenly you feel a disturbance in the air and duck back before an arrow slams into a tree behind you. You look over and in the clearing 6 Capra tribesmen have appeared.

“Oi Kin head back to camp”, shouts the one who just shot at you, “We have to warn them.”

Besides you there is a cold wind and you look over to see that Tiberius is wearing a cruel smile.

“Don’t bother you won’t have the time”, at this he draws his blade and charges.

Seeing the Capra before you brings a smile to your face. You quickly gather energy and fling a curse on the group of them forcing them to move slower and more sluggishly.

“Thanks Merric”, as he charges the group with a smile on his face. He quickly cleaves through two of the Capra. His armor familiar rises form his shadow to cleave through the other two that were fighting. The fleeing one tries to get away, but is shot down by the vengeful scouts.

With the scouts taken down you head over in the direction that the scout was fleeing. After heading in that direction for a while you begin to hear the sounds of celebration. In the center of the celebration is a large fire and around the fire, stripped of their gear and clothing, are the missing scouts. You can see that they all have fear on their faces, but are otherwise fine.

Suddenly the noise stops and you see a large Capra tribesman come to the center holding a large blade.

“My people we have sent a message to those who would wish to invade our lands. With this they will know that we are not a force to be trifled with. Now let us partake of the fruits of our labor.”

At his words you feel anger boil up inside of you and you begin to gather your magic.

Seeing that the Capra may move towards your men you decide to give them some protection. You gather the wind and it obeys you readily. A large wall of wind forms into existence around them causing the Capra to begin to look around in fear.

At that sign Tiberius charges the Capra. As he rushes towards them a dark black armor forms around him in a matter. In addition to that a he is followed by a cape of red and black. Despite the armor now surrounding him his speed is not decreased and he continues his charge. He quickly begins to cut down the armed Capra’s. For each one that has their blood spilled he seems to grow stronger.

Seeing the half-demon begin his slaughter many of the villagers begin to flee rushing around and gathering their items. Some warriors grab weapons and charge you with their leader. The battle has begun in your favor.

I am going to stop here and archive it now so the battle won't be interrupted. As it is should I do another session of this or rotate back to Medieval Pokémon? Either way I should be good around 4:30 est. tomorrow. If there are any questions about either feel free to ask.
