Not much. Work sucked. Some chick quit and just walked out and left me and another coworker to do all her work, but hey, it's whatever.

"Roar!" you yell, curious to see what her other Pokemon is. Your Vulpix digs her small paws into the ground, trying to look scary, but failing miserably. She's just so cute! Aimi gets a grin.
"Dodge and use Ember!"
Fox roars, but Charmander puts her hands on his ears and somersaults out of sight, an Ember shooting out towards Fox. It hits, but doesn't have much power.
"Ember?" you ask, confused.
She shakes her head. "We have a plan, just watch! Scratch!"

Fox turns back towards Aden, the Charmander, and pouts a little. His eyes soften up as he looks back.
Aimi rolls her eyes. "Smokescreen! Now!"
Wow, he's fast and now you can't see a thing. At least his attack is lowered.

"Scratch! Hit her this time!" Aimi yells. You can't see her, but she's loud enough. Maybe she can't see Aden.
"Quick Attack!" you shout. You think you hear Aimi swear a little. The smokescreen dissipates a little as Aden charges through it, arm ready to swing. Fox hits him first and he goes stumbling through the smoke. It didn't like a particularly hard hit, but it was enough. You still can't really see much and Aden is back in there.

Probably for another hour. Might be able to run Tuesday at some point, most likely Wednesday morning. Thursday is a maybe, Friday is also a maybe. I can maaaaaybe run Saturday morning for a few hours. Again, Sunday will probably be around 9pm cst.

"Ember!" Aimi yells.
"Baby-Doll Eyes when he gets close!" you say. Fox seems to completely understand. For a while, everything is quiet. You don't see any movement. Fox stays still and alert, scanning for Aden. Suddenly, he jumps out of the smoke and before he can hit, Fox lands another Baby-Doll Eyes. Aden's face softens a little more as he fires a small Ember at Fox. It doesn't hurt very much, but Aden is still in top shape. Plus Aimi has a "trump card", whatever that is.

The smoke is almost fully dissipated now, and you can faintly see Aimi, red faces and determined.
Fox hits Aden, full-power. He's knocked flying back towards Aimi. He hops back up, looking rough. One more good move could probably knock him out of the fight.

Fox looks back at you and makes a face. You nod. She IS strong.
"Smokescreen again!" Aimi yells. You can tell she knows Aden's on his last leg.
"Oh no you don't! Quick Attack!"
Fox speeds towards Aden and hits him. It's not the strongest, but it does the job. Aden's not quite down yet, but he looks like a tap would send him down.
"Now!"
Another smokescreen covers the area. Man, Aden has gotten annoying.

You don't even have to think. With Aden's smokescreen, smoke covers the area. You have a feeling Aimi has a plan, but she's not saying what. Of course she wouldn't. This all seems so mysterious, but you're not going to let up!
"Quick Attack!" you say, and Fox flies into the smoke. She hops back out, looking satisfied. You see a brief flash of light as it illuminates the smoke, making it look even more black. Another flash of light shows, but you hear nothing.

"Quick Attack! Again!" you shout. You still cant hear anything from Aimi's end, but you guess that makes sense. She's trying to keep the upper hand by being stealthy.
Fox flies towards the smoke again. It's dissipating just a little, but you still can't see a thing. She comes back looking shaken and a bit of sand falls from her fur. What happened?

You feel like Lucky would be a good bet. It's nothing against Fox, of course, and you tell her so before returning her to her ball.
"Go Lucky!" you say, tossing the ball into the air.
Your ball returns to your belt... You're not quite sure how it does that. Maybe Naida or Emma knows? They're both pretty smart. You're so into your battle, you actually forgot they're watching. You look to them, but they're a little too far, and they're both closer to you. They look just as confused as you are with the smoke in the air. Emma gives you a thumbs-up and mouths "good luck". Naida just watches the smoke intently. Maybe she knows what kind of Pokemon it is.
You have to decide what to do.

You think you hear Aimi swear on the other side, but it's like the smoke clouds your hearing also.
You think for a moment, but ultimately decide. "Ancient Power," you say, and Lucky nods. She gets a little closer, firing rocks at an unknown target. You think she might've hit something, but you're not sure. It's still dissipating, but it's still pretty hard to see.
A blast of sand comes out, knocking into Lucky. She looks just as shaken as Fox had.

She nods, determined, even if she is a little shaken. Could that have been a sand attack? Maybe her accuracy is lowered...
Lucky waggles her finger and a ball of... Something flies at the smoke. You can hear it hit something, but it doesn't sound like it hurt too much. The smoke is almost gone now and you can faintly see an outline of something. Again, sand flies into Lucky and she looks even more shaken. She'll have to get really close to have a chance of hitting, even with something like Growl or Charm.

(sorry, I'm babysitting and the kids both started throwing fits.)

You shake your head, nervous. You still have Fox left, and with the smoke almost completely gone, you'll be able to take her down! ...or you think so. You're not sure. Charmander was a little tough, but who knows what this Pokemon is?
"Metronome again!"
Lucky waggles a finger once again and a flare of blue fire fires out, completely knocking away all the smoke. What's left is... Flareon. And the fire attack only seemed to make it look stronger. Oh no. Flareon's ability!
Aimi laughs. "I was waiting for the right entrance! Meet Flareon!" she grins and then says, "Ember!". Flareon spits out a flame towards Lucky, hurting her badly and leaving a burn. Lucky looks like she could be poked and be done for. Her tiny legs shake and she looks hurt and worried. You're also worried. If Lucky is down, you'll have to rely on something but a fire move to beat Flareon. You're in a real bind and you can feel a bead of sweat drip from your forehead.

You're not giving up hope, though. Lucky looks behind her. She looks really roughed up, but she wants to do one more thing. She shoots you a weak thumbs up and you nod.
"Ancient Power," you say with a point.
Lucky let's off a surprisingly strong attack for her condition, but it doesn't knock the Flareon down. In fact, it only looks a little worn. Damn. But with that, Lucky falls over, unconcious. You quickly retrieve her, whispering a thank you to her ball. "You did well."
It's Fox's turn again. You toss out the ball and before you can issue a command, Aimi has her Flareon tackle her. She looks pretty beat up. Man, this thing is strong.

Fox sits and pouts a little, batting her eyes at Flareon. Flareon stares for a second and her gaze softens. It worked! Now if only you can bring her down!
"Bite!" Aimi yells, completely confident. Flareon charges at Vulpix, but she dodges and Flareon completely misses. She almost knocks right into you!

Alright! Time to attack. You can do this! Maybe. You don't know. This battle is too intense.
"Quick Attack!"
Fox jumps into action and runs towards Flareon... No, she's running more towards you! She misses Flareon by a mile and smashes into you. You both tumble down. Fox lays on top of you for a minute and licks your face, her way of saying sorry. You pick her up, wincing at the pain in your chest, and sit her down on the ground. She doesn't seem like she wants to keep going. She's warn out and knows she can beat Flareon.
"You want to quit?" She yips a little, but then headbutts you.
"She's saying yes, but she's definitely not "quitting". She's accepting defeat." Naida smiles at you when you look up.
"A-are you o-okay?" Emma asks, looking worried.
You nod and start to speak, but you're cut off.
"That was actually a great match!"
"Yea because you won," Naida says with a smirk.
Aimi slaps her arm. "No because it wasn't wham-bam, thank you man. It was an actual fight."
"Battle," you correct.
She rolls her eyes. Everyone else's lands on her Flareon.

You smirk. "It was a good match, but I want a rematch after I get my first badge."
She smirks back, but it's not hateful like it once was. "In that case we'll have a rematch after /I/ get my first badge too!"
With that settled, you pack up a few things.
"Where are you g-going?"
"I need to heal up my Pokemon."
"B-but..." Emma looks towards Flareon's ball.
"Lucky got knocked out and Fox isn't doing too well. If anything happened..." you glance at Naida.
"You want to be at top shape at all times," she says simply. You can tell she's also curious though.
You decide you want to learn about it later. When youre done finished packing up, you put your shirt and your shoes back on. No shoes, no shirt, no service. You're not sure if that applies to pokemon centers, but hey.
"Today was fun. Thank you." Naida smiles a little.
You smile back and with a wave, you're off. You hand your Pokemon over to the nurse and she says it's going to be about an hour. You have time to do something while you wait.

You decide you need to drop your stuff off first. Maybe you'll see how your sister's doing. On the way, the streets are clean as can be. When they bring the Muk and Grimer out, they eat every bit of trash they can see. Some could even rival a Munchlax in hunger.
You walk in, set your stuff in your room, and change. You throw your clothes and towel in the laundry pile and start throwing away the trash and food left over.
"So how'd your date go?"
You decide to go along with it. "Well Naida and I got physical and then Aimi and I got into a play fight. Emma just watched."
Andy's eyes widen for a second. "You're fucking with me, right?"
You laugh. "Yes, and it wasn't a date. Naida and I went surfing and Aimi and I battled."
"Bet you lost."
"....you're right. But you can't win all the time."
"God, you're an idiot. You sound like dad."
You both are silent for a minute. She was 13 when he left. She knew him much better than you did.
