Urdir was a much different system now from when the Armada first arrived. Barren and deserted with the ruins of hidden Confederate facilities on a single world. Now it teemed with activity as ships departed from the three planets sporting dense shipyards constructing and repairing the fleets of the Armada. Legions Home spun in the darkness, its surface as grim and cold as the Legions determination as soldiers were broken down and trained.

Yet among all the industry there was one unassuming world covered in ice that circle the white star. Unnamed it was nonetheless an important piece of the Armada's plans for the future. Beneath miles of ice a facility harbored the twisted Blackscale necromancers and dedicated to their blasphemous projects in cloning and corrupting the Sunscale towards worship of the Wormstar and loyalty to the Armada.

Or so, that was their mission assigned by Jadyk himself. To ensure their cooperation and loyalty a taskmaster was sent, now that the invasion of Kanda was complete and in the hands of the Deep Rot.

Sur-Quro stood next to Dominator Valresko as they descended on a lift into the depths of the ice, the yuyut shivering despite the thick clothing she wore. Glancing at the solar-powered undead who had said little on their journey to this desolate world she finally broke the silence, "Jadyk is sending you to oversee a simple cloning project? Couldn't he send one of those brainjars that float around everywhere instead of sending you?" she asked incredulously, hoping to drive a wedge between the Lich and his General.

Turning his faceless gaze toward her by a fraction the smooth white bone cracks but does not part, his voice deceptively soft and calm for the power he embodied, "A cloning project with the potential to bring great change to the galaxy, Sur-Quro. The subjects, you may recognize, can be quite difficult in working with. Domination over your enemies can come about through many ways besides sheer military might. Economics or religion for example."

The former sub-admiral begins to speak but the lift finally reached the bottom and the doors slid open. Her eyes go wide in shock at the sight of the two undead that waited for them. A pair of the Blackscale Knights, amalgamations of Sunscale Warblood bones shaped and reanimated into deadly combatants, bow their heads to Valresko, the semi-sentient undead recognizing his importance. They silently motion for them to follow and turn to walk down the corridor.

Valresko and the yuyut follow and in the halls they pass the undead Sunscale moving about their tasks in sullen depressed silence. Their once decaying forms were repaired, the chitinous plates of Reconstruction merging with their scales as the Blackscale continued to learn how to use Cauldrons with already undead Sunscale without fear of retaliation from the Mother or Father.

His whispered voice startles the yuyut when he suddenly speaks, "Corruption and blasphemy are also powerful tools of conquest, Sur-Quro."

Ship and Vehicle mod: Hardlight Plating - While not as strong as proper energy shielding these plates of hardlight barrier can add another level of defense to a ship, vehicle, or drop pod acting as reactive armor. Draining on a fuel source the hardlight can not be maintained for too long or risk overheating the projectors

>Vehicle Hardlight Plating: Vehicles gain a bonus to defense against the first attacks against them

>Ship Hardlight Plating: Acting as a second line of defense should shields fail or if a stealth ship is exposed, the hardlight plating acts as reactive armor against missiles and incoming attacks. Cost: 15B 15M per 30meters of ship length

Large Jump-pack: Acting much like the simpler and smaller infantry jump-pack these devices utilize a mix of Void projectors and chemical thrusters to launch the large unit across a battlefield. Can only leap in a single direction and cannot change direction while leaping. Can also negate fall damage if falling or leaping from tall heights, allows controlled falls to eliminate falling damage. Only Brutes and Heavy Exosuits can equip them. Cost: 10B 10M

Elemental cores can now be included in the construction of Large Reconstructed, granting them the respective energy resistances and weaknesses while also allowing them access to new abilities and enhancing their respective weapon types.

Information files in through the Think Tanks as the scattered Eyegores transmit their findings of the systems they were sent to investigate. The one investigating the unnamed Red Giant system between the Ahkam and Osjiic territories says they will require longer to compile their findings.

Osjiic Territories:

N'Tiin

Star: Medium Blue

Planets:

Rocky planet: A large, heavily mined world, several domed cities protecting the population of Osjiic and their slaves.

Tur've: A high gravity oceanic world where a unique ecosystem of buoyant lifeforms have flourished. Numerous Osjiic bunker-cities, the hive-like population centers extending further underground than into the air, dot the landscape of the small continents. The population is almost solely Osjiic and their Yuyut slaves, most races unable to handle the intense gravity. A pair of space elevators are positioned opposite of each other along the equator connecting to large space stations that house the picket fleets patrolling the system. Its moon has a large military base dedicated to their conflicts against the neighboring Ahkam systems.

Tor've: A planet that once had a thriving biosphere is now mostly barren with small seas at the polar caps under thick ice. Osjiic bunker-cities dot the landscape, the crust heavily mined to fuel the numerous shipyards on its surface and moon.

Binary Gas Giants: A pair of gas giants linger at the edges of the system, spinning recklessly around each other sharing almost innumerable moons. The planets are mined heavily for fuel, the largest of the moons covered in refineries.

N'Biic

Star: Medium Orange

Planets:

Nian: A habitable world that has been mostly converted into massive farms around the temperate areas. A large space-port sits at the equator with a large garrison of Osjiic. The farms are tended to by a large slave population, the crops and slaughtered beasts transported offworld and used to feed much of the Osjiic planets in the sector. It's singular moon has shipyards tending to the picket fleet and passing fleets.

Rocky world: A barren, airless world untouched by the Osjiic despite evidence of decent mining potential.

Asteroid belt: A thin belt of asteroid stripped of metals. Old mining factories have been repurposed into bases for passing fleets to refuel.

Gas Giant: A particularly large gas giant, a large orbital platform floats in the upper atmosphere

Dwarf planets: A small chunk of rock and ice. It's only note of import a bizarre mountain range carved eons ago to resemble an insectile race long extinct and one of the few symbols of them remaining in this sector.

lol yeah I guess it helps if I hit the post button when I write up the announcement tweet. Was wondering where everyone was
>>
>>1175386
Neutral systems:

Worllunan

Stars: Binary - Orange Giant Blue Dwarf

Planets:

Rocky Planet: Scorched by the rays of the twin suns this planet is covered in intense storms with an atmosphere toxic to most forms of life.

Rocky Planet: A fairly common looking world, barren and arid marked with countless craters. Initial scans indicate the potential of large metal deposits in its crust.

Vannec: A medium sized world with an agreeable atmosphere and biosphere possessing deep oceans. The single massive continent starting to break apart is a varied array of biomes from frozen tundra near the poles to verdant jungles at the equator. Initial reports state that no sentient life has evolved on the world leading to the placement of a Confederate sponsored colony with intents to develop the planet toward food production.

Asteroid belt: A moderately dense belt of asteroids that was likely the remains of a protoplanet that broke apart. The potential for metallic ores to be present was likely another reason for colonizing the system.

Ice Planet: A ball of rock and ice laying further out from the rest of the planets in the system. It's elliptical orbit suggesting it was once a rogue planet caught in the significant gravity well of the twin stars.

Refuge

Star: Medium Yellow

Planets:

Hearth: A world just inside the prime habitable zone but possessing very high temperatures. Once a unique world of teeming swamps and shallow oceans the world has been heavily colonized by refugees over the past century. High polluted and covered in cities that are little more than sprawling shanty towns and slums it does possess a spaceport which is mostly visited by pirates and smugglers.

Scatters: A large and nearly barren world with a thin atmosphere it has also been colonized by refugees. Most of the population lives underground in half-abandoned mines and caverns. A few cheap and ill-repaired biodomes dot the surface to protect against the harsh sandstorms that rage for weeks at a time. It's moon however has a large colony on it, the forested planetoid likely a smaller planet that got caught in its orbit. Much of the food for Scatters and Hearth is grown here.

Junkyard: A small planet at the fringe of the asteroid belt that was little more than just a rock with a thin atmosphere it has been used as a dumping ground for the crowded system. Even here small communities eke out a life scavenging from broken ships and dumped trash.

Asteroid belt: A thin and metal poor belt it has been mostly ignored except for scattered groupings of ships marooned on the larger asteroids, their hulls welded together crudely.

Spindle: A gas giant near the edge of the nebula pressing in on the system it possesses an erratic spin. A multitude of moons both large and small, many drawn from the asteroid belt, dance around the jovian world. The largest of the moons all glow in the darkness of space from the multitude of stations and colonies dotting their surface. Those that live here spending their days harvesting the atmosphere of the gas giant to refine into fuel for the starships and reactors of the systems residents.

Sounds like refuge is ripe for conversion. Go in and shoo away whatever military presence there is and start improving the biodomes and set up proper infrastructure. These shanty shits ought to fall right into our lap.

Within Iti'a'Ropku the civilians that once lived on Clour and in Station 88 awaken and prepare themselves for their trip back to their old world. Their emotions were mixed as they discussed the strange happenings. Many of them state they were content with their new home, remembering the often times miserable conditions of working in a mine while others seemed more apprehensive.

The former Captain now Officer Dretst was informed of the meeting but she agreed it might be best just to have the non-military members make the trip after a discussion with Jor and the Commander. A quick delve into her dreams and scanning her emotions shows she still felt an inkling of loyalty to the Confederation but she was also determined to do her best to serve the Armada and Legion, finding that she preferred the intimate camaraderie among the Legionnaires.

The first batch of freed slaves from Kanda were being prepared for their trip to the capitol as the Necrolytes and Reconstructed tended to the wounds and sickness of the others. They were met by Red-Leaf-Strains and one of her sisters, the towering Osogo greeting them as they were guided to transports that would bring them to the city. The matriarchs knelt on the ground as they spoke to various members of the refugee group, Red-Leaf-Strains meeting the mother who had pledged her loyalty to Jadyk and the womans daughter who shyly hid from the large creature. The Osogo coaxes her out by taking the Gargoyle from her shoulder and encouraging her to pet the Reconstructed and eventually the young human obliges, smiling as she stroked the smooth bone of the serpentine undead.

Hidden in the depths of the Punishers fortress-temple on Bastion Agona and the Obsidianborn continue their work at merging their technologies and Reforging the undead. With the aid of Obsidianborn and Reconstructed construction units they begin work on building the massive anchors for the Wormstar Fingers that would stretch above the perpetual storms.

On Horizon's Drop and Rukor similar constructions underway as massive amounts of resources were pouring into the construction of multiple Fingers stretching into the void from their worlds.

There is much to be done and tend to.

Anyone else want to take care of the situation in Refuge now while we're fresh? If we do let's remember to bring a pair of harbingers along, one for the civies and one for the possible necromancer.

Concerning Refuge, do you wish to speak to the Confederacy before you attempting to move in? While it is considered neutral territory, many of those that dwell there are refugees from Confederate Colonies.

Just send them a message that we will be going to Refuge to investigate the undead and establish order.

Exclusively stealthed corvettes for now, loaded with shadows looms and trolls. The first priority is stopping the advance of zombies and locating the source of this outbreak. Send a couple of harbingers to communicate with both sides.

We will be deploying forces and strike teams to find the source of this undead, and then we will deal with them.

Anons, it might be a good idea to try to identify who's behind all this before we slaughter everything. It's entirely possible this is being caused by a blackscale cabal or some other recruit able survivor of the undying courts power. Why don't we focus on containing the threat before annihilating it?
>>

that was my idea

>>
>>1175766
Tell them that we know of the undead outbreak, we are the best suited for it, tell them to message ahead so that they dont panic since they probably have a communication link with Refuge despite it being a neutral system, and remind them that since it IS a neutral system, they have no grounds to prevent us from doing so. They cant hinder us, but it would be nice if they made things a bit easier.
>>
>>1175944
Oh, that's okay then. Do we have any idea of how many warships these zombies have access to?
>>
>>1175933
Just because we have the fleet in system doesn't mean it's going to just be slaughtering things. We'll still need significant manpower to conduct a thorough investigation and a decent fleet ensures the safety of the assets in the field.

None, supposedly. But if they do....

>>1176026
yeah but how would you react to a warfleet on your door? Panic if innocent cause OMG more evil undead, or go to ground as the necromancers, cause they know we're looking for em.
>>
>>1176038
Thats why we "kindly" ask the Confeds to tell them not to shoot incoming spooky warships...unless they arrive before ours are supposed to, in which case things will get VERY interesting when we do get there.
>>
>>1176038
I'm not particularly worried about the first. If anything I was thinking that once we got there we'd go down to the cities and start building nice actually livable spaces. Which should begin to get the public on our sides.

As far as the necromancer, I doubt theres much it'd be able to do. The necromancer is just our excuse to saveannex Refuge

Knowing the situation in the Refuge system was growing more dire by the day you have a fleet of stealth ships prepare themselves for departure. Loading the ships full, mainly of Looms, Shadows, and other stealthy Reconstructed, they lift from their respective docks and depart in a multitude of flashes.

With the ships underway you send a line of communication to Admiral Rotaka waiting in the Andai system. It takes a few minutes but finally a holoscreen flickers to life showing her standing on the bridge of her ship. She gives a nod in greeting, "Lord Jadyk."

Giving your own nod in return, "Hello, Admiral Rotaka. Tell me, are you in contact with Confederate High Command?"

She frowns, brow furrowing into the metallic visor that replaced her eyes, "Of course. Does this concern us meeting with the Clour citizens?"

Waving a hand dismissively, "I thought I would let the Confederacy know of a certain plan of mine. You know the tragedy afflicting the Refuge system right?"

Her frown deepens and she looks off to the side, pressing a finger to a button on her visor for a few moments then looking back toward you, "An undead outbreak. One that is less subtle than what we would expect of you and not fitting the MO of the Armada. Why?"

"I feel it in the best interest of every innocent in that system that the Armada steps in to stop this outbreak. Already my ships sail to provide aid but I realize it wou-," you are cut off by Rotaka shaking her head.

"No no, I cannot allow that," she begins but you cut her off in turn, leveling a clawed finger toward her image.

"You are in no position to hinder me, Admiral. Need I remind you that Refuge is a neutral system and that the Confederacy has no proper claim to it? This operation is already underway but I was being courteous to inform the Confederacy that they will not have to worry themselves rescuing those that were once their people," she seems to glower as you continue, "My Armada is best suited to dealing with this outbreak, my Reconstructed cannot be turned against me. The Confederations assistance is unneeded but it would make things more...agreeable for everyone involved if the Confederate Navy stayed out of Refuge for the time being. This includes the Dauntless."

Admiral Rotaka waits a moment to make sure you were finished speaking before replying, "You are right, I cannot do anything to stop you. I can contact High Command and request a joint operation for extracting survivors while you deal with the other undead."

>cont
>>
>>1176218
You shake your head firmly, "If the safety of the citizenry were actually a concern of High Command or the Senate there would have already been a response. I know the Dauntless lurks in other sectors. Veraga and Gateway are not distant from Refuge, two of the biggest naval presences in the Curou Sector but still they suffer and die, alone," she scowls but you are unsure if her displeasure is directed toward you, "Heed my words, Admiral. I do not do this as a ploy to gain the favor of the Confederation. I do this to protect innocent lives from suffering. You may not believe my intentions but the result will be the same. They will be alive and the Confederacy will not have a system full of unreasonable undead on their doorstep."

The human seems to debate with herself for a few long moments then nods, "Very well, Lord Jadyk. I will pass along your message," she let's out a sigh then, "For what it is worth, I do hope you manage to save them," she gives a curt nod, "Until we meet again on Clour, Lord Jadyk," and the image cuts short.

Nothing life threatening or anything too dramatic.

A real creative moodkiller

>>
>>1176813
That's a dam shame, I remember when we had to put our dog down on Christmas Eve
>>
>>1177262
You said there where remains of an insect race on that planet.
It may be old but any sample can have use.
>>
>>1177274
Oh it was just a mt rushmore kinda deal where they turned a carved a mountain into a giant statue of an abstract looking insect. There are other planets and systems that show other archaeological evidence that the Curou sector was home to an advance spacefaring race like multiple planets showing signs of ancient terraforming efforts or ruins like this one.

The planet is lifeless and barren from what the Eyegore can tell in orbit.
>>
>>1177304
Well let's get a closer look. We have yet to reconstruct an intelligent insect race.

That and I'm curious about something.
I remember a time wham the masked appeared in a unknown insect face.this race might have been it
I have a theory that the face the masked show holds significants
>>
>>1177323
I'll bet half a dozen internets that is was carved by those wasps that merged with crystals to kill our skeletal ass back in the day.
>>
>>1177485
If only there was a former Wasp you could ask that about
>>
>>1177499
Well let's call him up and ask
Also why do we need to be so formal with our top guys? Can't we just call up the lava father and say "yo bro if found a bug thing, was that yours?"
>>
>>1177564
The funny part is, N'Biic and N'Tiin were already in the pastebin for the start systems. I just hadn't updated the map to show that there were Eyegores in the system

makes me wonder who reads the pastebins lol
>>
>>1177564
Its just proper decorum. We still arnt that formal in comparison to what we could be. Besides, Jadyk back in the day was probably very formal since he had a patron, servants, and allies so decorum was much more important. I cant wait to talk to LF again. We should try to get as much info about the crystals, wasps and the Alliance as possible since the first two could still reappear and the Confeds certainly have more relics then just the dauntless up their sleeves.
>>
>>1177613

Speaking of the lavafather, what the fuck is his power limitations? Can heat even harm him? What if we just dropped planets on him? Would that upgrade him?
>>
>>1177716
What is the limit of his physical form at this point? Is it decentralized or is their a core object/location? Also I think he will be cool withRuscov since she is under us now.
>>
>>1177754
Depends on how ruscov is like.

You are not Jadyk of the Wormstar. You are Dominator Valresko, paradox of the Solar and Necrotic and blasphemy against the Mother in the Void and the Father from the Solar.

Standing by your side was the yuyut female Sur-Quro, once a Sub-Admiral of the United Outer Nations now your "assistant" by the command of Jadyk. She was intelligent and resourceful, necessary requirements for her previous rank of course, but she was also cunning and possessed a hidden cruelty you glimpsed when she helped plan the invasion of the B'Nan system and Kanda. Her soul resonated with the Solar and soon she would carry and ember of your might.

For now though, you turn your attention to the three reptilian aliens standing before you, their blackened scales shiny and slick in the lights of the chamber. The Blackscale regarded the yuyut coldly but they said nothing of her presence having grown used to Jadyk's strange habit of keeping the living around.

Bequor motions to the rows of medical pods, the first showing the shadows of the cloned Sunscale Workers floating within, "Their education is complete. Stories and worship rites to the Wormstar, devotion to Jadyk and the Armada implanted in their unwaking dreams."

Raakah nods, sending her dewlap quivering as she spoke, "They await only awakening. We kept them in stasis, waiting for your arrival."

You approach the nearest tank, ignoring the disbelieving look Sur-Quro had ever since she learned of the cloning facilities goal. Placing a hand on the glass you can feel the mind of the Worker within, stirring fitfully in their coma. Turning your eyeless gaze to the Blackscale you see the auras of their potent necrotic might surrounding them, "Can you be certain of their loyalty?"

Guir brushes imaginary dust from the robes he wore done in the style similar to Jors, "Regrettably, the only thing we can be certain is that they are perfect health. The whims of the Mother and Father are unpredictable. They may instantly combust into Solar energy or they may be the loyal worshipers of the Wormstar that we desire."

Nodding you turn away from the glass after one last linger look at the clone within, "Begin the process of awakening them. This project has tarried long enough."

The trio reptiles nods and Beqor hisses in the Sunscales guttural native language to a zombified Scout. The sickly green reptile nods and moves to a console, the gangly Scout having to stoop slightly to reach the controls as they start the sequences to awaken them.

Raakah approaches slightly, glancing at Sur-Quro briefly, "It is good to have you here, Valresko."

You merely nod in reply and Guir speaks next, "Indeed, you are the greatest achievement of our little Cabal."

The smooth bone plate of your face cracks slightly, flame flickering out briefly like a serpents tongue, "If this project bears fruit then you will have another significant achievement to brag about to the other Cabals."

They glance at each other at that and you continue, "Speaking of the Cabals. Lord Jadyk wishes to know how to gain contact with the other Cabals. Something about uniting all Cabals under the banner of the Wormstar and the Armada."

Guir clicks their tongue and shrugs, "If that is what Jadyk wishes then we can attempt to contact them. They are naturally wary, of course. Many Cabals find themselves embroiled in intense rivalries."

"That bodes poorly for the image and reputation of the Blackscale then," the trio seem to recoil slightly at the words and you motion casually at the zombies in the room, "You Blackscale live your warped lives in constant paranoia, afraid of the Sunscale and any other faction that might discover you. Snatching the weak and unsuspecting for your rituals. Working with the Confederation and other factions." Sur-Quro seems rather interested in that last bit of news, a sense of revelation coming through her Domination Spike.

Beqor's stunted extra arm flexes subconsciously, the still wicked claws gleaming, "We have had to fight to survive. Paranoia and secrecy are our greatest strengths," he says defensively.

Nodding you stride in front of the tanks as the contents stir and shift as they were slowly awakened, "Indeed, that is how you survived the Sunscale for so long. Jadyk wishes to gather the Blackscale under him and unite the Cabals. He says the Blackscale are as much the children of the Wormstar as he is," you can read the pride on their faces as plain as if you felt their emotions through a Domination Spike, "Under Jadyk and the New Necrotic Armada he would see your cursed kind find a true home."

You let them relish the thoughts and they whisper to each other for a few seconds and Guir nods, "Lord Jadyk is quite the visionary."

"Of course he is. He forgets something about you though," you let the statement hang for a moment as they look at you in confusion and you turn on your clawed heel. Approaching them with slow steps you keep your hands clasped behind you, tail lazily swaying with the blades at the end coming within inches of cutting a passing zombie Worker, "You may praise his name now and agree to work for the Armada but I know you."

You lean in close to Beqor, the cracks in your "face" spreading in a parody of a smile until he could feel the heat of your internal fires and the orange glow illuminates his scales, "The Blackscale see Jadyk as a means to an end. Power and defense against your orthodox kin," the reptile meets your gaze, his third eye staring off blindly but he kept his cool as you turn your gaze to Guir, "You are made from a curse, the grand revenge of the Wormstar. A corruption and blasphemy against all they stand for, treachery is in your nature."

>cont
>>
>>1178157
Raakah hisses in annoyance and makes to speak but you whip your head around to stare at her, "This is how I know you, Blackscale. We are the same. We are all formed of corrupted Sunscale stock. I am a paradox of the Necrotic and Solar, my very being calling for me to reach out and bring ruin to the Galaxy just for the enjoyment of it. To see worlds burn and stars snuffed out, to feast on the souls of entire planets," you say, feeling that yearning burning at you continuously.

You step past them, hands still clasped behind you, "But is with this new Necrotic Armada that we can find purpose beyond our base instincts, brothers and sister. With Jadyk's guidance we shall rise above our curses. The Sunscale will know to fear and respect us," you turn on them again, "And isn't that all you ever wanted from them?"

They stare at you in silence for a long time until Raakah finally nods, "My loyalty and oath to Jadyk still hold, as it does for my brothers," and the other two grunt their agreements, "This Cabal is still loyal to Jadyk and the Armada, do not doubt this, Dominator," she says firmly.

"I never had any doubt to begin, dear sister," you turn to a medical tank, "It was merely a reminder of what we strive for."

Since ghul was more tech based, he probably would have saw elemental powers as a resource, since YOU KNOW WHO was more magic base she probably could have used the powers to reach new planes of existence
How do we use the elemental powers?
As a well of power?
>>
>>1179867
We seem like we were the opportunist of the group, not dedicated to physical or magical combat, but could still hold our own in both. I think the same holds true for us: We wont be able to reach Ghul's or DAT BITCH'S level in their fields as quickly, but we should be skilled enough to start development for both.
>>
>>1180033
If we were ghul, we would probably have about 50 different mechs all powerd by elemental powers

If we were THAT BACKSTABBING BITCH we would probably be summoning horros from the different elemental planes

We're the most flexible of both, we probably won't be traviling through elemental planes or mass producing arc power armor but we can adapt to our foes in almost an instant
>>
So not quite ready to resume the thread but I need to bring up something I came up with for developing worlds.

Rush Development: For the cost of 2million Biomass and Metal you can raise the percentage of a planets Development score by 1%. While rushing the planet does not generate any resources.

So if you spend 10million B+N you can bring up a planets Development score by 5%

This is so worlds can be brought up to speed faster to rake in more resources or set defenses on freshly conquered worlds.

Sound decent to everyone?
>>
>>1180521
yeah, but it should be situational, as some worlds are more suited than others.

Yrre-1 was a busy planet in the midst of terraforming. A light cruiser containing a Harbinger floated above and watched as massive blocks of glacial ice, several of them reaching a kilometer or more in length and width, were carried by Treeships to the planet below and were either simply dumped into the forming oceans or sliced into sections and ferried away to other portions of the planet where the precious liquid was needed. From orbit you could see massive fields covered in the same rock grinding moss that the Armatocere ambassadors were using to create fertile soil outside of Iti'a'Ropku. Channels carved into the ground flowed with the melted ice crossed the planet, feeding the colossal efforts of the floral faction. What looked like truly massive treestumps dotted the landscape, great billows of humid clouds emitting from their hollow tops and forming localized weather patterns as they strengthened the atmosphere.

Finally you receive a message from the surface inviting the Harbinger down to a set of coordinates where the treeships were densest.

Traveling by Coffin the hull glows with reentry then cooling as it passes through a thick cloudbank that was centered around the equatorial settlement. Emerging from the clouds you see what looked like a forest sprouting up around where several of the artificial rivers converged before flowing down into the start of a sea a hundred kilometers away. As you neared you see the forest was much larger than any on a planet with this high of a gravity, the trees not being true treeships but rivaling their size. What appeared to be shuttlecraft with spiked bark-like hulls buzzed around the "forest" and vines the thickness of trains wrap around the towering trees trunks, stretching to link them or covering the ground between their roots.

The Coffin takes a circuitous route to landing zone where a multitude of the barbed shuttles sat along with smaller treeships awaiting take-off. Your Harbinger drifts forward, simple robes hiding its thin form and lacking any blatant weapon beyond those hidden in its body, and is greeted by a small group of plants.

One resembling Slrrt but with a mix of vibrant yellow and red petals approaches on its stubby root-legs and bends it's main stalk in greeting, the voicebox embedded in its green flesh crackling faintly as it speaks, "Welcome to Yrre-1. I am Sapling Vnnl," they motion with one of their vine-like limbs to the colorful collection of ambulatory plants behind them, among them several of the cactus bruisers that seemed to be the main security force for the Armatocere, "These are some of the residents here in Canopy."

"Canopy?" the Harbinger asks as it looked toward the others, spotting the slightly familiar form of a Mindvine and several Saplings.

>cont
>>
>>1185561
"Yes, that is what we are calling the capitol here," Vnnl turns and motions with a wave of a leaf to follow, "We have started naming our..."cities" and groves in ways more similar to the animal races of the Galaxy."

The Harbinger follows, a simple pair of Arc Trolls trailing even though you had very little suspicion that the Armatocere may attack, "A fitting moniker," it says with your voice while gazing up at the dense canopy high above at the crown of the trees.

Boarding an open-air transport that seemed carved of a single piece of wood it unfurls several leaf-sails and the craft lifts into the air with a faint humming. Sapling Vnnl and the others root themselves into carved depressions and the trolls seat themselves silently in the back flanked by the cacti bruisers. The hovercraft travels into Canopy itself, the air thick with pollen much like when the Eldertrees met with you. As you gazed around it was hard to tell where the infrastructure ended and the citizenry began, multiple times seeing what looked a mundane, if alien, shrub or tree pull itself free from the ground or one of the towertree roots to turn and watch as you passed.

Near the center of the growing city was a collection of flat platforms sprouting like mushrooms from a massive central tree and collections of mobile plants seemed to gather around and turned to watch as you descended. You hadn't noticed before but now with the hovercraft still and refurling it's leafsails you realize that the city was oddly quiet beyond the sound of the wind, creaking of branches and rustling of leaves. Only Sapling Vnnls voice droned out as they motion for you to follow them into the interior of the hollow tree. A multitude of mundane and alien animals and bugs seemed to flourish in the city, birds and bird-like creatures flying past as insects buzzed through the air. Upon a closer look you see one of the cacti bruisers had several hollow pockets carved in it's tough hide and within several small creatures tended to nests or relaxed calmly.

Inside the tree lights slowly illuminate and you see clusters of what looked like fungus nodules beginning to glow bright. Guided through the hallways that you cannot tell were grown or carved you enter a large central chamber. Filled with sunlight you see a series of mirrors set above, likely reflecting the daylight into the interior of the treetower. In the center of the room you see the large gnarled form of an Eldertree, it's bark pale and knotted as wide leaves rustle gently, surrounded by a multitude of ambulatory plants, many of which you do not recognize.

>cont
>>
>>1185570
The Harbinger bows respectfully to the Eldertree and it's psychic voice reverberates in the puppet Reconstructed skull, <Welcome to Yrre-1. Forgive my asking, but where is Lord Jadyk?>

Your voice issues from the Harbinger as it floats before the collection of intelligent plants, "This form you see before you is merely an extension of my will. A puppet so that I may spread my attention where it is needed."

Small creatures nest in the branches of the Eldertree, strange eyes hidden in the whorls of its bark, <Ah, forgive my rudeness, Lord Jadyk.>

You wave a hand dismissively, "No need. I would have arrived myself but my Armada grows by the day and my attention is increasingly needed in other places," the eyeless gaze of the Harbinger turns, taking in the gathered floral creatures, "Are these to be the first I test for elemental capability?"

<Yes they are. We are unsure of the requirements so in time others will be brought forward for the testing. We are quite excited to witness this,> it mentally says, the branches quivering slightly.

Bowing once more, "Then let us begin, shall we?" the Harbinger says and the first candidate steps forward, one of the sturdy cacti soldiers with thick spines and covered in scars.

You reach out and pluck at its soul, a sensation very different from testing the more common animal subjects, but you can hear it. The song of the Void calling for this strange creature and you are surprised by how well it seems attuned to the cosmic power. Those gathered recoil as the Harbinger lets out a small laugh and the cacti tenses, "Amazing. The Void calls for you, my large friend. It sings and wishes to join your voice with its own."

You are unsure of the cacti's reaction but it relaxes, it's tri-lobed eyes gazing down on you. Making plans to send one of the Voidknights or a Disciple you move onto the others. With such a promising start you begin searching for others among them that resonate with the elemental powers that form the galaxy.

>Harbinger has begun searching the Armatocere population of the Yrre system

As the Harbinger searches the floral population of Yrre-1 and former Confederate citizens prepare for their trip back to Clour you cast your mind to other matters.

Seated on your throne in Horizon's Drops atmosphere you take a moment of solace in the cool embrace of a passing cloudbank and look through issues that need your attention.

With a brief message from the Deep Rot it impassively informs you that the conquest of Kanda is officially complete, the cities taken and the remaining pockets of resistance broken and captured. Gargoyles and Devils search the deserts, looking for any soldiers desperate enough to attempt hiding in the wastes. The prisoners and few remaining slaves they found hiding in the mines or factories are placed into Carriers and brought to Horizon's Drop for processing. Carriers are dispatch from Armadan space carrying cargoes of ore and liquid biomass to begin converting Kanda to a proper Armada planet.

Gained:
>230 Osjiic Soldiers
>6 Voidsingers
>160 Slaves

>The B'Nan system is now under the complete control of the New Necrotic Armada.

The mystery of Worllunan's missing colony nagged at you, the system practically neighbors to Horizon's Drop.

Ruscuvs reanimation progresses, her fossilized form hidden beneath the bubbling surface of the Cauldron as the Think Tanks assist the Caretaker who seemed to grow more irate with the help rather than relieved.

In the Urdir system Valresko begins melting the glacial ice, Solar flames quickly hollowing out a chamber as he prepared to bestow his power on Sur-Quro while the Sunscale clones were awakened.

You send a brief message to the Lavafather asking if the carved mountain range in the N'Biic system was of Wasp make and he sends a brief reply saying that it was not but he vaguely recalled seeing other carvings like that before his imprisonment and fusion with the Obsidian.

In the distance the Wick lift off from Iti'a'Ropku and ascend to return to the Veraga system, its cargo holds full of a new batch of the Drop Kelp and Narcotikelp crops.

Jor and his necromancer comrades meet with the Necrolyte Commander and his officers, the necromancers agreeing to take lessons on combat with the Legion or to serve with them as proper soldiers.

The Clanship captains Troma and Vorlam request an audience as their crew continues to mingle with the citizenry of the Armada, trading and betting.

Eiton continues to train the new Arcdancers while Nekris interrogates the younger pair of Ahkam serpents, the juvenile female reduced to a mostly sullen silence over the weeks imprisoned and the male reluctantly helping the undead with designing an Arc FTL engine. Vle'Karak refuses to speak with them, the serpent hissing out that he would only converse with you, showing a disdain for the Reconstructed Generals.

You find it not very surprising when you discover Lorgul standing in the Colosseum stands cheering and shouting as the Tyrre gladiators clash in a battle against armored Trolls and Stalkers.

There was much to be done and tend to.

This order:
>Deploy a team to investigate the mystery of Worllunans missing colony.
They can be quickly dispatched.
>Contact the Caretaker
I'd prefer that creppy spiderfuck to not try something stupid.
>Speak with the Pirate Captains
The Butcher can wait since he is our... "guest".
>Speak with Vle'Karak
Some anons may think he is being a bit of a dick, but he has earned that right, unlike his younger kin, who have (relative to him) sat on the laurels of those like him.
>>
>>1186020
>speak with vle'karak
Get him to understand that we won't gove him the special treatment
Either speak to our generals or die in a unhonorable way
>>

>>Contact the Caretaker
As much as I want to get Worlunan and Refuge out of the way, I think we should make absolutely sure this guy is one the same page as us.
>>
>>1186064
Agreed
>>
>>1186071
And also add more of our influence into the cauldron.
>>
>>1186064
Its not that he's "being a dick" its that if we want to "break" him we need to make him realize he's not better than the rest of the prisoners
Other wise he remains a zealous megalomaniac and we make no real progress
>>
>>1186112
But he IS better, we cannot deny that. He is a legendary general of countless battles and that, as well as his knowledge of the Akham, is what makes him useful to us. We just need to make him see that we would be a far better lord then the Momma Snek of this sector. I'd prefer a subordinate who was verbally uppity, though absolutely loyal to us, then a broken tool at our feet.
>>1186098
I think we added enough so that she wont try to betray us. To much, and it may overwrite too much of her personality and self, which are some of her assets.
>>
>>1186138
We still need to enact that agreement for heros
We need to put a timer on him
Id give him 6-8 threads to get his shit together before we start the cauldron prep

Can we take that number down to 4? I'd rather we not keep coming back to this for longer than a month.

It depends on how many visits we have.Honestly, we can still get info from him before he swears fealty, just like he did on our first visit in which he told us the friggen origins of his species, which I doubt many non-Akham know. He will be worth the wait. Besides, right now I think we should be focusing on developing the orders instead of making more heroes, at least until our foes start whipping out the big guns.
>>
>>1186175
That is true, i forgot how lobg threads on this board is

Wow, I'm pleased to see Lorgul joining the party with the living.
>>
>>1186197
While he does have value,we can't keep him around forever as thats just a waste of time
The entire purpose of the cauldron agreement is to stop people from spamming guys to the cauldron if they don't instantly join

Why would that be a problem? More enemy commanders that go into the cauldron means more unique badass hero unit for us.

As I said, he hes been a benefit by telling us of the Akham themselves. When we talk to him next time lets show him some of the people and parts of our city, just to show him how grand our vision is. The more we talk to him, the more he will side with us. Try asking him about what might make him unhappy about the state of the Akham, such as petty squabbles that consume far to many resources. By comparing their hive of scum and sneks with our developing utopia(that still has a powerfull armed force) he could side with us. Overall I just think it would be a waste to toss him for some snek hero when we can to the same in exchange for two, maybe three younger ones. Plus I like his moxie.
>>
>>1186252
The thing about this is that we can squeeze out important information from these commanders and getting the big daddy of the akham on our side willingly is a massive hit to moral
>>
>>1186268
After we have shown the galaxy that we can get the rulers of a goddamn Theocracy that we are more worthy of serving then themselves, then we can chuck the next few unwilling Akham into the cauldrons.

Eiton was busy with the Arcdancers, cackling as he commanded a line of Voidflenser equipped Stingers to fire the spheres of void energy at his students. Globs of ultraviolet flame leap from the flared ends of their weapons at the Arcdancers and they either dodge or attempt to block the weakened blasts. Most of them are thrown back but a few manage to deflect the attacks with Arc energy crackling over their hands.

"Is that all you got!?" the undead shouts, "The Voidsingers would defeat you in moments with that kind of performance!"

He nods to the Stingers when the Arcdancers return to their stances and another salvo was launched, a few more managing to deflect the blast but to his surprise the sole Esat Arcdancer manages to catch the sphere in her hands and absorbs it much like he had done the day prior. The vorh next to her gives a complimentary shout only to get thrown back by a blast that collides with their armored chest.

One of the demi-Think Tanks floats into the chamber and mentally contacts the Predator who gives a nod then turns back to the collection of Arcdancers, "Alright, Lord Jadyk is summoning me but don't think that's excuse to slack off. Continue this practice until every one of you can successfully deflect or absorb a Void blast at least five times," there a faint chorus of groans but they salute and nod, returning to their practice as Eiton departs.

He finds a Harbinger waiting for him and he gives a bow when he senses your gaze looking through it, "Hello, Lord Jadyk."

"How goes their training?" it asks as it drifts down the hallways followed by Eiton.

"They are progressing faster than I thought. The Esat one is the most promising so far. Someday she'll make a powerful Predator if she survives that long. The rest show promise. A few more days and they'll be ready to return to the Legion," he says, his singular eye swiveling in its socket to the puppet undead, "Was there something you needed of me?"

"Indeed," you say and stop, a holoscreen projected by the accompanying demi-Think Tank to show the Worllunan system, "There is a nearby star system. The Daggers say there was a Confederate colony there but it appears to have disappeared. You will head there to investigate with a squad of Legionnaires selected by the Necrolyte Commander. Meet with him then depart when you are ready."

The Predator salutes with a fist thumping to his chest and nods, "Of course, Lord Jadyk," he says before leaving for Horizon's Drop to meet with the Osjiic officer.
>>
>>1186112
He is though, and unlike the others he has actually been rather respectful
>>

Clour was becoming a busy place as more and more Reconstruct show up to build the audience hall that the Confederates would meet with the Armadan citizens. The anchor city below Station 88 was starting to be slowly converted, old damaged buildings replaced with architecture similar to Iti'a'Ropku.

Elsewhere on the world in the depths of the earth the reanimation of Ruscuv was well under way. The Caretaker oversees the process, shouting or hissing in anger at the Think Tanks who ignore their insults and continue their work. Muttering to itself the Caretaker resumes a series of incantations, waving their multitude of hands over the surface of the massive cauldron.

Gliding into the chamber, still wet from the Cauldron, was a Harbinger. It glides forward to the opposite edge of the cauldron and watches silently for a few moments unnoticed before speaking out, "Everything progresses well I hope?" it asks in your voice.

The Caretaker jerks its head, the glassy eyes staring at the new undead suspiciously, "Who is this?" it pauses a moment, "Lord Jadyk?"

The Harbinger nods, the dreamstone crown glinting in the light of braziers scattered around the massive chamber, "Indeed. I am the Harbinger of his will."

The Caretaker stares silently for a few moments then nods, "Impressive. Ruscuv said only she was capable of sending her mind through her Reconstructed."

"She may have first developed that ability but I am afterall the creator of the Reconstructed. All their secrets are mine," the Harbingers says and the Caretaker seems to scoff but says nothing, merely plunging its hands into the Cauldron.

"Reanimation of a fossilized Lich is quite a process," it says, "But yes, her Reconstruction draws near. Why do you intrude?"

What shall you say/ask of the Caretaker?
>>
>>1186899
Anything I can do to help speed up the process? Any more resources or reconstructed you may need to accelerate the ritual? My powers are vast and are at your beck and call if they would bring my sister back quicker.

I don't expect him to accept, but his reaction may be illuminating.
>>
>>1186899
Any snags or foibles in the process I should know? What was her time like after my imprisonment? What's her likely response to seeing me?
>>
>>1186899
" I admit to being anxious to see her again, i have not seen my sister in eons, while i have been awake she has slept, i don't know where to begin"
>>
>>1186899
Ask about the origins of it's creation; the caretaker has thier own personality/agenda, it seems like it's a heroic unit of some kind
>>
>>1187035
Going to support this as well. It may shed some light on to why he's getting increasingly pissed without outright questioning his loyalty.
>>
>>1186899
Tell it to stop insulting our thinktanks or it's getting thrown in the cauldron and we will finish the job ourselves
>>
>>1186899
The Harbinger slowly circles the width of the Cauldron, gently patting a Think Tank when it passes, "I admit, I am anxious to see her again. I have not seen my sister lich in eons. While I was awaken during my imprisonment she has been asleep. We have much to discuss."

The Caretaker glances at the Harbinger as it nears but says nothing so you continue, "Is there anything I can do to help speed up the process? More resources or Reconstructed to accelerate the ritual? My powers and talents are vast and at your beck and call if they would bring Ruscuv back quicker."

Lifting its gaze to you as you float next to it, clicking their teeth together, "The offer is appreciated, Lord Jadyk but the ritual progresses as fast as it needs to, no slower, no faster. It is a delicate process, one your jars seem to misunderstand," it says with a look to the Think Tanks who are only mildly insulted after their days around it.

"They work better if you do not insult them. They are intelligent undead, much like yourself. Tools for my Armada. Effective and brilliant," you feel the pride in the Think Tanks at your words," But tools nonetheless."

The Caretaker turns back to the cauldron, "I am more than a mere tool, Lord Jadyk," it says with a faint hiss.

"Tell me of your origin. I do not recall you from the times I visited Ruscuv's worlds or her flagship," the Harbinger asks and drifts past it to continue its circuit of the cauldron.

The undead was silent for some time as it worked but finally lifted its head, "No, we never met. I was Reconstructed after your defeat. I was one of her favored cultists, a Necrolyte that sang in the Chitin Choir when I was blood and bone. Crafted to help guide the Reconstructed armies she inherited from you," it hisses with laughter, "Those that survived the Crystal Wasps that is," you say nothing, hiding your anger as it continues, "It was my idea to enter hibernation and return in an age where the living had forgotten our threat. I volunteered to make sure she survived the eons for her reanimation. When she awakens I shall rule by her side and help her retake the Galaxy."

"You have lofty dreams, Caretaker," you say.

Anything else you wish to say or ask the Caretaker?
>>
>>1187280
Tell it to stop being a bitch
>>
>>1187280
Slap him for being a bitch

But really he needs to know that we are at the top of the line of command. And that he should show just as much if not more respect for us as he does ruscov, or so help me we will stop this resurrection
>>
>>1187280
Even now enemies remember us, and if you or her do anything to jeopardize what I have built, I will be MOST cross. I have grown in ways beyond what I once was the Flames of the Void and Solar are mine to command. You are her favored yes, but you wounded one of mine, and I am nowhere near as pleasant as my sister lich when riled.

"The galactic situation has changed from before our imprisonment and hibernation respectively caretaker, things will not be so simple, during our conquest we had the backing of primordial GODS, with their destruction we will only be able to return to a fraction of our power. If we are to survive our methods must change, we need to evolve. the pointless slaughter of old needs not be brought to the present, the greatest failing of our old armada was our surrender to entropy, we became complacent confident in our power before we were betrayed from within. Keep that in mind caretaker"

You watch the Caretaker work for some time before speaking up, "Listen to me, Caretaker," it does not lift its gaze, only slightly tilting its head, "I said listen!" you voice raised threateningly and it jerks its gaze up to you floating over the liquid of the cauldron, "I respect Ruscuv. She was among my closest allies in the old Armada. You on the other hand, you injured my favored servant. You ridicule my creations and you disrespect me. I am certain I could do away with you and pick up the Reanimation process without you but out of respect to my sister lich, I allow you to continue existing.

"Even now enemies remember us. The Wasps and Crystalline Minds appear to be gone from this Galaxy but others remain. Empires have been built on the bones of the Armada and we are vastly outnumbered for the time being. We had the support of the primordial gods of the Undying Court and still we were defeated," it makes a move to speak but you lift a hand to silence it, "I have grown in power since my imprisonment and liberation. The I embody the flames of the Void and Solar in my own being," the Caretaker seems to recoil at that information, "And yet for all my significant power and might I know we cannot return to the old ways. I will have this conversation with Ruscuv when she is finally awakened but I will tell you this. Your purpose, the sole assurance of your continued existence, is her reanimation. Leave thoughts of conquest and power until after that moment.

"You will cooperate with my servants and you will do so without complaint or insult, or I shall rip your body to the minutest pieces and use you to fuel her reanimation. I have no fondness for you or the insults you bring before me. Do I make myself clear, Caretaker?" you ask while leaning in so the eyeless face ofthe Harbinger was inches from the Caretakers glass-like eyes.

Slowly it nods, "Of course, Lord Jadyk. Everything I do is for Ruscuv."

Nodding you relax, "See to it that you remember this. I shall be leaving this puppet body here to keep watch over you," you say as the Harbinger moves to float off to the side out of the way, "Remember, Caretaker, Every single Reconstructed that come from the Cauldrons are an extension of myself. I will know if you attempt to betray me."

The Caretaker watches the Harbinger for time when it goes silent then turns back to the Think Tanks. It orders them to bring in a new batch of biomass but they do so in a professional tone, returning to its work.
>>
>>1187432
I really look forward to the Ruscuv's reaction to the news that we're the first lich in history to devour the void and solar. I hope we get a bitching nickname at some point, if Akka-tor ranked up to 'sun-eater' we deserve a badass moniker too.

Back on the moon of Horizon's Drop the door of Vle'Karaks cell slide open and the serpent huffs where he was coiled up not facing the door, "I told you, Predator. I have nothing to say to you."

"I was hoping to change that, my friend," you say as you drift into his cell in person.

Vle'Karak shifts, the massive coils of his body scraping against each other as he lifts his head to gaze down at you, "To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, Jadyk? Come to gloat?"

Tapping the armrest of your throne for a few moments, "I rarely find the need to gloat. I came to speak with you, Vle'Karak. To see how you fare."

That clicking hiss comes from him as he laughs bitterly, "I fare as well as a beast in a zoo cell that is much too small can."

"Are you hungry? I hear you refuse to eat," you ask.

"An Ahkam can go weeks without a meal and I doubt you have what I crave," they say while resting their chin on a fold of their body.

With a motion of your hand the door slides open again and the panicked bleating of a Horizon's Drop herdbeast fills the room as its carried in by a Dirge. The poor terrified animal kicks with its six legs as it was suspended in the air, its four eyes rolling in panic, "I doubt you would crave this, never having had Herdbeast. I hear they're quite delicious. The colony that unearthed my tomb made much of their livelihood through selling their meat."

Vle'Karak's tongue flickers out tasting the air as he stares at the animal with his remaining eye, "Are you here to taunt me, Jadyk?" he asks.

You give a laugh of your own and shake your head, taking the beast in your telekinetic grasp so the Dirge could float away out of the room, "That would be most disrespectful," you say and bring the beast closer to him then let it drop.

It falls on its side and scrambles madly to right itself but Vle'Karak strikes faster than most races could see and in a few moments he hungrily gulps down the offering. Over in only a few seconds he relaxes again, "I can taste why they were in such high demand," they say and shift slightly as they coil back up into a comfortable position, "Why have you come before me, Jadyk?"

What shall you discuss with Vle'Karak, the Butcher and the Terror?

Fine if you want to take it in this direction, but get the fuck out of here with that dicksucking.

The only way to appeal to Vle'karak is through our sense of superiority. He's goddamn ancient (by mortal standards) and isn't going to serve us just because we ask nicely; WE are the only deific being in the galaxy, and thus who he should serve.

yeah but i figure he can be, persuaded to join, if we go all high and mighty he will balk.

He seems to respect shown power. Its more intimidating if we appear to be friendly but show we can so easily crush them that we dont feel the need to try and threaten em.

also have we asked what the serpent wants anyway? I mean weve shown alot of stick, but no carrot so far. People are easier to break for remolding when there is hope at the other end

"You are unlike the others of your kin that I have encountered. I desire to know why," you say and link your fingers together and resting your chin on them. He tilts his head slightly and you can sense the confusion through the collars he wore, "Those I have met are arrogant and prideful yet they hardly seem worthy of that pride compared to your own accomplishments. You are called Butcher by the Osjiic and Terror by your servants, I recall you telling my general when you faced him in battle. I would like to hear of your triumphs. Among your kin you are the only one I have even the slightest desire to interact with outside of battle."

Vle'Karak was silent for some time, his tongue flickering in and out of his mouth before he speaks, "I was much like them. Arrogant and prideful. We consider ourselves gods in a Galaxy where the gods have died or gone into hiding. I have lived over thirteen centuries and in my time I have fought many, many foes in service of the Matriarchs. Imperials, UON, Confederates, Sunscale, Armatocere, all of them have fallen before me.

"I have broken Deathshead Guardians, devoured Warbeasts and Riders, dueled with solar and void-blessed Albino Warbloods. I've killed Armatocere Colossi and burned their treeships to cinders, once even seeing an Eldertree with my own eyes before they escaped from my coils. Countless beings I have killed for the Dynasties. I've fathered many children, many of them falling before they could claim their own kingdoms," they let out a sigh then, a long drawn out exhalation, "And still I fought and fought until the glory and honor I gained in battle started to matter less and less," they look to you, "Why do you care, undead?" he asks and you can feel a deep depression in him.

You are silent for a time before answering, "I suspect we are similar, Vle'Karak. We have both served powers greater than ourselves, giving ourselves fully to conquest and warfare. I served the Wormstar and you doubtless know the tales of the horrors I unleashed on the galaxy. If there was true justice in this universe, I would have been destroyed absolutely a long time ago," you find yourself surprised to admit this to him, a prisoner of war and a part of the leadership of your enemy.

"I was imprisoned for millennia. During my incarceration I had much time to think and ruminate or else I would have gone mad from the boredom," you give a laugh, "There were times I suspect I did. The fact is, Vle'Karak, I was given another chance upon my freedom at the hands of the human, who in time become my First Necromancer and second-in-command.

"Undeath without the living is stagnation, a surrender to apathy and entropy. Without the chaos of the living, undeath has no meaning. With that revelation I have begun a new path. One I hope that brings at least a relative peace to the Galaxy in time. I know true peace is a fools dream, there is too much, too many old grudges and hatreds to ever truly bring total peace without granting the cursed gift of undeath among all living things," you let out a small sigh and look to the snake who stared at you intently, "When you fought Nekris you asked for an honorable death in battle. Do you truly desire that?"

It was there time to be silent as they pondered. Finally then tilted their head side to side in a gesture you equate to be similar to a human shrug, "It seemed like the appropriate thing to say. My power wanes. Few other male Ahkam have lived as long as I or attained as much power. In my prime I doubt even you would have been able to stop me alone. Old age is not something most Ahkam worry about. The Matriarchs are all but immortal. None by my knowledge have died due to aging."

"I care not for the Matriarchs right now. You are my guest and prisoner and what I wish to know, is what you want, truly want with all of your being. The dreams and memories of my prisoners and citizens speak of your prowess and might. The fear that you instilled on enemy and servant alike. What I wish to know, is what you want with the time you have remaining to you," you say.

He thinks for a time and lets out a short clicking laugh, "If you expect me to wax philosophical on that right now, you will be disappoint. No, what I want right now, more than anything is food," you tilt your head in wonder and her continues, "That planet you first fought my niece over, that oceanic world, what was it called..."

"Rukor. I am not going to feed you Ructu, they are becoming my loyal citizens under my protection," you state firmly.
>>
>>1187953
He lifts his head then, laughing more openly, "Ha! So the dead do have a sense of humor. No no, the rumors of my eating the sentient are just that, rumors," he flicks his tongue out for a few seconds then tilts his head in his version of a shrug, "Well, at least not anymore. No, I do not care for the ructu, my niece says they taste awful as it is. I must admit it was partially my greed that lead to their planet being taken. I find myself craving the flesh of a native lifeform," he gives a brief description and your throne projects an image of a shoal of hunter squid attacking the hull of a ructu ship, "Ah! Yes, those. Hunter squid you call them? Yes, that is what I crave most of all."

You give a short laugh and shake your head, "I shall see what can be done about that. But for now, I am afraid I must take my leave. Running an interstellar empire leaves me with very little free time," the throne lifts from the floor, "So tell me Vle'Karak, will you willingly pledge your loyalty to me and the New Necrotic Armada?"

Vle'Karak, the Oldfather and the Butcher, laughs, "I doubt an oceans worth of squid will convince me, Lord Jadyk," he rests his head again on a coil of his body, "But it wouldn't hurt."

You bow your head, "Very well. Until we speak again. And please, be kind to my General. He is not so bad an undead once you get to know him. Perhaps you can share stories of fighting the Sunscale," you say before departing.

I'll come up with something tomorrow then. Quick question about the search for energy potentials among the armatocere, we still haven't yet agreed to pass on the knowledge and power needed for them to become proficient users, right? There were a couple of things I wanted to formally bring up with them before we seal that deal.

>>1188278
I absolutely love the look of those asteroid defenses, anything that gets us to use our adorable crit crawls offensively is just fine to me. And the idea of a camoflauged terrordrome was also excellent, we wouldn't even need true stealth fields. The crude camo adaptation for ships should work just fine for a stationary structure hidden in an asteroid field, and it's cheep as hell.
>>
>>1188432
I must admit, I want at least the Shockdrome at least for the pun. Shock and Terror !

Speaking of, I'd like to know what the Mother and Father are like. I know we have already heard what they are like but only from crazy zealots. We can better predict our foes if we know how they think, and not in terms of "PURGE THE UNCLEAN DEAD". And an even bigger fuck you would be to cause a schism within the Sunscales. Even if the Radicals are just ones who are reactive to undead atrocities instead of proactive and would hate us but not attack us, the amount of butthurt wafting from the Mother and Father would be palpable. And if we make the radicals become the new orthadoxy, then the Mother and Father will either have to go without a powerful faction to work thru, or play by new rules.

Don't deny that. But with our latest action, we are no mere minor treath. We must fortify and develop quick. The Sector fleet will not "ignore" us more longer I think.

Talking about that, Kanda is a over-industrialized, polluted and devasted shithole, right ? Well that's perfect, that's mean we don't give a fuck about fucking the environement here.

Here what I think we should do with this planet: start the construction of massive bio-dome on several point on the planet, or cluster of casual bio-dome, given what is the most easy to protect (I can personnaly see a "Vanilla" installation compose of one big dome an a cluster of little one, stick to it like buble; with maybe a special one as planetary capital). In this bio-dome would be great farm, to aliment the cauldron and the few living subject, and living center for the said living subjet.

All the rest is mine, cauldron installation, shipyards, what ever industrial installation wee need and FUCKOFF MASSIVE CANON, a lot of them, anti-orbital battery with shield to protect them. The planet would eventually have 4 Finger, who use is to be determined.

It's only task would be to produce a shit ton of metal and use them to spit entire fleet to our warmachine.

We shoud also build orbital defense station, like Terrordrome but bigger. No need to make them mobile, just make them orbit the planet.

We should also try to fortify asteroids, I have two idea on this:

1- The Shockdome

Basicly a repurposed Terrordrome, with camouflage, and disguised as a asteroid (or incorporated in a big one) it's stay dormant until it's can unleash it's weapon. The abscence of propulsor and the increased space should give it additional weapon point.

2- Defensive Asteroid Network/Grid

When a asteroid belt is mined, instead of being let to a bunch of useless rock, it's repurposed. Smaller asteroid as remote bomb or Critters Nest, other with a Semi-Tink Tank and a simple weapon, hiden in the rock ( I suppose this one would be still on relatively small asteroid, so probably one weapon or two, kind of turret) some should be equip with weaponized tractor beam, to be able to use the near asteroid as projectile (notably the remote bomb one). Finally the big one will be dig to install a Tink Tank, equiped with a battery of sensor and/or weapon. each Tink tank will act a "central servor" for a determined number of semi-tink tank, creating a vast network of defense.

I suppose the two are not incompatible and could work together, with the Shockdrome as part of the Network.

Hang on, I think I can work out what he's suggesting we do on Kanda here.

Anti-Air Network: 2000B 2000M
Anti-Air Missile Bunker: 500B 1500M
AOMBS: 400,000B 500,000M
BioDome: 2,000B 2,000M
Planetary Shields: 5,000B 10,000M
Wormstar Finger: 50,000B 500,000M
Cost: 459,500B 1,015,500M

That should be enough to create one habitable city on the surface and the defensive networks needed to defend it. This gives us the infrastructure needed to start developing the world in earnest.

Real quick before we start up the story stuff again

In regards to the Shockdrome, I like this idea and I'll write up some stats for it if folks agree it should be added.

For the Defensive Asteroid network, the base idea of placing defenses into hollowed out rocks is a sound idea. Could probably have a percentage of the metal gained from an asteroid belt be redirected to crafting these defenses.

These defenses would likely be equivalents in the planetary defenses with anti-fighter turrets and missile pods that while relatively cheap would have a quality through quantity.

The problem with the idea of using stationary tractor beams to hurl other asteroids is that asteroids are typically dozens to hundreds of kilometers apart.

I like the Critter Nest, great name. Would be an autonomous Cauldron that would need refueling (off screen) to produce the assorted Crit-Crawls like the Chatter, Blister, and Zapper.

On a tall terrace of Iti'a'Ropku overlooking what was quickly becoming called the Bazaar was the netu captains Troma and Vorlam. They stood at the railing looking over the tables of merchandise that both Armada citizens and Pirates had set up trading and bartering. Another crowd circled around a pit that had been dug overnight, cheering and shouting as Reconstructed pet dueled against feral aliens or deadly customized droids.

Troma leaned on the wall, "Last time I came to this planet it was nothing more than dirty miners and sour farmers. Now look at this," he says mostly to himself.

Vorlam nods, her main arms folded across her chest and a secondary hand tapping the hilt of her Clansword, "Next time I visit I must make sure to bring a veniri clacker for the fighting pit. Could make some profitable wagers with one of them."

Laughing as he straightened Troma shakes his head, "I don't know, I'm thinking of getting that yuyut tinker from Teplona's fleet to make me a droid. If he can make drones that can take out an Osjiic one-on-one I think they'll be able to make something worthy of the pit."

As the captains chatted they did not notice you descend silently behind them, your Throne settling down carefully on the terrace, "Please, I would be interested to see both," you say and the pair spin around, hands on their weapons in surprise.

Vorlam lets out a relieved sigh and shakes her head, "Damn, Lord Jadyk, nearly drew on you," she clacks her beak and shakes her head, "Er, not that I would ever draw a blade on you," she says sheepishly.

You wave a hand dismissively, "Fret not, Captain. I should have announced my arrival," you stand from the throne and drift over to stand next to Troma to look down at the Bazaar, "It always amazes me how fast the living move. Only a few days here and already a new pass-time and trade center have sprung up. I'll have to have an addition built to the Colosseum for these "pet duels" our people seem so enamored with."

Troma nods, "They're actually a common sight on some Confederate and Ahkam worlds. To be truthful it would only be a small draw for coming here, Lord Jadyk," he says and you look at him.

Vorlam speaks up though, "Indeed. I must say, Lord Jadyk, so far I am rather impressed by your city. I've spoken with the former Confederates of Clour and they speak highly of the Armada, especially the Legion. I know they gather now to go speak with the Navy but if I had to judge..." she trails off and looks down at the multitude of races below as they mingled with Reconstructed, "If I had to judge, I don't think you have to worry much about them wanting to rejoin the Confederacy. I've visited Clour, traded for ores from Station 88. Iti'a'Ropku is definitely a better home from what I've seen."

You bow your head respectfully to the praise, "Thank you for your kind words Captain Vorlam. I have tried my best to listen to my living subjects so they can tell me just what they need and want."
>>
>>1191272
Captain Troma turns and approaches a table that had been set up with a selection of foods. He picks up a small metal stick skewered through a chunk of barely cooked meat and quickly gulps it down, "You've probably already heard this through your Reconstructed ears but some of my subordinates have made a deal with the herders of the original colony here. Fresh herdbeast supplies along with some other local animals here for goods that they'll trade for, imported from other parts of the galaxy."

Turning away from the railing you nod, "So I'd heard. I applaud their initiative honestly. Trade is a good way to strengthen friendships," you look to them both, "So does this mean your assessment of my treatment of the living is satisfactory to the needs of the Clan Lords?"

They glance at each other then Vorlam nods, "From what we've seen, it appears so. Those living here and serving in your Legion appear to be..." she shrugs for a lack of a better word, "Happy. I spoke with one of the leadership of the Stonestar that live below. They speak highly of your mercy in taking them in and providing a home. So yes, it is my belief that you told us the truth on Myrshyn and that your intentions are benevolent."

Captain Troma speaks next, leaning against the table gently, "That would be my assessment as well. I met with and spoke with the oldest of your living citizens. While they spoke of the terror they felt when they were first...recruited, nearly all of them have praised the life they have now. They say you are quite scary and intimidating, downright terrifying when you first appeared," he shrugs, folding both sets of arms, "Yet they say the pay-off was worth it, even if they lost friends and family."

You nod slowly and float there in silence for a moment before Vorlam speaks up again, "I'm sure you understand, Lord Jadyk, that most of them had accepted the dangers of life on the fringe space so close to both Ahkam and Osjiic space brings long before you were unearthed. Same with the Daggers that serve you now. That is partially the basis of the slave-debt, knowing the certainty of conflict, danger, and death that life among the stars brings," she pauses then lets out a polite laugh, "Although I know none of them ever suspected finding a near utopia under the care of a walking human skeleton," she says and Troma lets out his own laugh.

Unable to resist you let out your own short laugh, nodding, "I suppose you would be correct in that. In all my years sealed away I never would've dreamed that this city could be a reality."

Was there anything you wished to discuss with the Pirate Captains?

"Forgive me for asking, I am sure it is a sore subject, but what is the current state of the netu homeworlds?" you ask suddenly and the pair look at you in shock.

Troma clacks his beak for a few moments then sighs through his spiracles, "I have not made the pilgrimage myself, but Clan Lord Erex told me of his trip to them. They are rocks as lifeless as most moons. The Wraiths killed almost all living things on them and those that lingered died as well when the rot set in. Stories say the fleets returned to see their worlds on fire, scorched to ash as dead forests and jungles caught fire and the oceans turned sour and rotten."

Vorlam rubs under her beak for a second, "Why do you ask, Lord Jadyk?"

"Guilt, I suppose. I know most stories say the Sun-Eater attacked out of retribution over my defeat. Part of me says that can't be true but another part says that's me trying avoid blame," you give a slight shrug, "I suppose part of my effort in reaching out to your people is out of a sense of responsibility."

The captains nod as they stand silently, Vorlam looking over the edge at those gathered below. Finally she turns her head back and breaks the silence, "Enough of those grave tales. Has Jor spoken to you about my proposition?" she asks with a sudden, barely restrained excitement.

"About this "fishing trip" you spoke of?" she nods and you tap your chin with a claw, "While the idea is alluring and I am always eager for new samples of the extreme cases of wildlife that evolve in this galaxy, I am afraid I am quite busy," you say and she nods dejectedly but you continue, "Nonetheless, Predator Nekris I am sure would enjoy this hunting trip. He has experience in these kinds of hunts. You should ask him about the Beast of Rukor sometime."

Captain Vorlam nods, her excitement resurging, "If he would join us that would be wonderful. Do you have ship harpoons similar to those developed by the Esat? If not I am sure I can bring you one to reverse-engineer or just send you the plans."

You nod, "I do indeed. My esat subjects I liberated from the Ahkam helped us learn how to craft them."

The netu turns to the table of food, "Excellent. I will have to return to my fleet to gather my fishing ships but I could be back in mere days if that works for you, Lord Jadyk," she says and picks up a kelp roll.

"Can you tell me anything about these creatures?" you ask.

She pauses between bites of the roll and nods, clearing her throat before speaking, "Large creatures, bigger than a frigate. They travel in pods and don't seem to need anything to breath beyond what they gain from feeding on gas giant atmosphere. They can enter FTL, how we are not quite sure ourselves. They can be aggressive, ramming ships that draw too near but they typically try to escape by leaving local space or diving into the gas giants beyond where we can follow if they are desperate enough although they rarely stay down there for long."
>>
>>1191714
"Do you know anything of the Wasps or the Crystalline Minds? I hear they were the ones to convince the old Netu flotillas to join the war against the old Necrotic Armada," you ask while retaking your seat.

Captain Troma scratches at his neck between the armored plates, "Well from what I've read, they were indeed a mysterious faction. The Wasps considered the Netu friends and it was that friendship that helped convince us to join. They were a slave race once, supposedly engineered from feral stock of some ancient lost world but the Crystals freed them. The crystals had abilities that bordered on magic because of their strange technology. Many records say they broke the laws of what they then understood of physics and the universe," he pulls a chair from the table to sit down, "They could gain mass from nothing, small shards becoming towering obelisks. Light made physical and used in complex technologies. Stuff like that. Telekinesis," he nods to a Dirge statue on the other end of the terrace, "Though you seem to have that one already."

Vorlam speaks next, "The Wasps actually helped the Netu fleets in the aftermath of the Necrotic War, providing aid when they could even though they were a nomadic faction to begin with. Records are fuzzy about their disappearance but no one has seen neither Wasp nor Crystal in centuries. Some say they migrated to a new Galaxy or to a different dimension or were driven to extinction by some unknown enemy."

You nod, "Indeed, the general consensus concerning them is they disappeared and no one knows why," you say with a shrug then look to Troma, "When will you be returning to Myrshyn with your judgement?"

He glances down at a small device strapped to his forearm, "We are staying one more night then returning tomorrow. We must bring our assessment before the Clan Lords."

"I need to gather my ships," Vorlam adds, "One of the ships that traveled here with us wishes to stay a bit longer. They say there is more profit to be made. I am sure once we bring our assessment there will be other ships arriving to conduct business here."

"And as I said on Myrshyn, they are welcome as long as my laws are followed and no harm comes to my subjects or forces," you remind them, both of them nodding, "Until then, I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here in Iti'a'Ropku. Please enjoy yourselves, Captains."

They stand and give polite, respectful bows, "Thank you for the hospitality, Lord Jadyk," Captain Troma says.

As your throne lifts off and departs you can hear Vorlam through a Gargoyle perched nearby, "Still so odd thanking a talking skeleton for their hospitality and agreeing to do trade with them," she says with a small laugh.

Troma shrugs, "We live in an odd universe. I suspect it's only going to get stranger."

>The Dagger Clan Captains Troma and Vorlam are departing soon with their assessment of the New Necrotic Armada
>After a brief message Nekris says he is quite excited for the fishing trip.

So, how about we talk ships. I've got a design here we're probably already using, but I want to make it official because the fact that we keep using ships we haven't actually built is getting on my nerves.

As you drifted in your throne over Iti'a'Ropku with the sun setting in the distance you look down at the city of bone and metal. You feel a sense of pride well up in you as you looked, seeing how it spread through the valley high in the mountains, a ribbon of hardlight extending through the city as racers careened along the track, the blot of colors surrounding the treeship taken root at the edge of the city, the multitude of Drakes, Devils and Coffins that moved through the air.

You notice it almost immediately, a Coffin frozen in place beneath you as it carried a group of farmers from the city to the farmland below. You let out a sigh and reach into your ribcage, pulling forth the darkwood mask, the carved mandibles and club-like antennae twitching, "What is it?" you ask in a slightly annoyed voice.

There was a rustling sound and a dry laugh reaches you, buzzing in your bones, "Not pleased to see us?"

You glance around, your throne frozen in place, "I'd be able to tell you if you were actually around to be seen," you say, turning your head to see them floating before you, "You lot are rather dramatic."

A bloated esat corpse, flesh bulging at the edges of broken chitin wore a mask of a human face split down the middle to reveal the skull beneath, shredded wings buzzing faintly, "We could say the same for you, Lichlord."

Claws tapping your armrest you watch as their shape shifts into a decapitated Sunscale, the mask floating above the ragged tear of its neck, "To what do I owe pleasure of your visit?" you ask.

"To congratulate you on your successes," the shape floating before you the massive form of the Warbeast slain by the Predators, the mask embedded between its eyes, "You take your first steps into being a true galactic player with the conquering of Kanda. Did it remind you of former glories?"

"The glory goes to Valresko and my generals," you say to the rotting ructu who held a severed arm in its remaining hand.

"Yes, they performed wonderfully, each completing their tasks beautifully," it says.

Gritting your teeth in annoyance, "Did you give then tests like you did Jor?"

The human stricken with Flash Fever holds up its hands defensively, it's simplistic robes hiding the boils and melting flesh, "Nay, not yet. You are the only undead of your Armada that we have given tests. Jor passed his wonderfully and brings you an old ally possibly made new. But we did not come to discuss Jor. I am here to speak with you, Wormlord."

"About what, pray tell? You know I have little patience for your machinations," you say.

The unknown creature looks insulted, it's segmented body recoiling as if struck, "You wound us. Have we not aided and guided you? Returned Kyn'tk to your possession?" it waves one of many shriveled hands that were oddly human in shape, "We do not give you a test this day. We feel as if you should be given a small warning."
>>
>>1191878
"Speak then and leave me in peace," you say.

"The more you open yourself to the machinations of the galaxy, forging alliances and going to war, the more your name will spread. In the eons that have passed there are some that have not forgotten the terror your name brought. They will come for you, Lichlord. They will commit everything they have to see to your true death," a mummified vorh warns.

"Why tell me this? This is information I could tell you myself without your cryptic riddles," you ask with a sense of frustration in your voice.

"Because some of the Masked wish to see you destroyed as well, despite the entertainment you bring us. Some feel personally sleighted by your actions, killing or enslaving their own personal favorites," they say quite bluntly, the mask floats free with a human skull and spine the only thing behind the wooden visage, "Some of your own Generals, before their Reconstruction, could have told you of their interactions with us. Be wary, Jadyk. While some of us wish to see you succeed for now and to flourish, others would see you reduced to cosmic dust."

"Are the Masked truly so divided?" you ask with genuine curiousity.

The rotting form of Red-Leaf-Strains shrugs, "I know it ruins the illusion somewhat, but the Masked are not above petty squabbles and rivalries."

Was there anything you wished to demand of the Masked before they disappear once more?

The mask I have. What happens if someone puts it on?
>>
>>1191879
Yes, WHERE THE HELL ARE MY IMMORTALS

Are you planning on passing them to my enemies? Because sure haven't displayed any indication that you would return them to me.
>>
>>1191879
"Tell me, Is my vision for the galaxy truly so entertaining? that i warrant the personal attention and theft of two different masked?"
>>
>>1191879
Ha, I knew some masks would have blown a gasket at the diplomatic outreach we were doing. I know they couldn't have possibly expected Jadyk to take his Armada in the direction he wound up taking it. We are one massive wrench in the plans and expectations of plenty of their number.

"Where are my Immortals you stole? Are you passing them out like treats to my enemies?" you demand.

The desiccated body of an Itru laughs, the voice raspy yet vibrating in your very bones, "They are not dead. I am not the one who stole them but I did vote for that action."

"Why?" fists clenched as you refrain from engulfing them in Solar flame.

"Wildcards, mostly. They are out there, Jadyk. They either wait for you to find them or they come searching for you. They are out there," it says, the mask perched between the broken horns of a native cliff-jumper.

"Tell me, is my vision for the galaxy so truly entertaining? That I warrant the personal attention and manipulation of a pair of Masked?"

"You believe there are only two of us?" it's voice booms with thunderous laughter that feels as if your skull was about to split open, "Let me assure you, this game would not be so interesting if there were only two of us manipulating the gameboard."

"That gameboard is the galaxy and your pieces are the countless lives of sentients you twist and destroy for your own amusement. I may be a heartless undead monstrosity but I own that, I do not hide behind machinations and masks," you say defiantly.

The Masked corpse of a human, their body ritualistically carved into multiple pieces, lifts its free-floating hand to point at the mask in your grasp, "So we have seen. Why do you not wear it?"

You glance down at the mask in your hand that moves as if alive, mandibles clicking together, "What would happen if I did?"

It shrugs, a motion completely alien to the tyrre you recognize that Nekris disemboweled when he stormed Vle'Karaks flagship, "I do not know. I did not craft that Mask and I know of no other player that requested one of their own. There is something of a wager among us for when you finally don it. I am quite certain it will be...spectacular," it says with a hissing chuckle.

"Will you interfere with my diplomatic actions? Should I fear Masked sabotage?" you ask, wondering if the sudden talks with the Confederacy and the Pirate Clans instigated this visit.

"I cannot give assurances for my...colleagues, but I think your attempts at diplomacy are quite entertaining. Not even those that deal with the Armatocere expected you to forge such a strange friendship with them," the massive form of a decayed Ahkam matriarch coils in the sky before you, the sudden appearance actually startling you somewhat, "You bring a new kind of chaos to the game, oh conquering worm. This chaos is why so many of our number find you either so amusing and worthy of attention and why others wish to see you fail."
>>
>>1191956
"What is it you wish for me?" you ask out of morbid curiosity.

"I know you do not trust the words I or my colleagues speak but if you must trust anything I say, trust this," the shattered and fractured form of an ancient Voidknight stands before you, shards held in place by some unseen forces, "I wish to see you continue in your goals, Jadyk, forsaken child of the Wormstar. I wish to see the glorious chaos and change you will bring to this galaxy. We called you an agent of change before and as you progress we can only agree more and more on that statement.

"You are the symbol, the omen of great change that is coming to the Galaxy, Jadyk. Some hate you for this and others support you. I say this to you, Lichlord, continue the good work," they say, an Epikor skewered by multiple spears giving a bow.

And as if you had blinked, time resumes and sound floods back to you. You look down at the motionless mask in your grasp in silence for some time.

Dear gods, we are a group of anons playing a quest about a lich who has to deal with a bunch of Anons playing multiple race quests at once

so its, quest threads in a quest thread.

well i Assumed it was that, and the think tanks debating being the anons in thread.

Same with unity in HQQ arguing with itself is totally not meant to be the anons in the quest. I still chuckle remembering the line "Time traveling space Jew"

>mfw I forget the Disciple

Let's just retcon the conversation and say that the Mask says only Jadyk, Jor, and the Disciple have been tested. That was just me forgetting that plot point because it was somewhat late.

Forgive me
>>
>>1193167
Or it could be that the masked are even less unified than we thought. So much so that some can act without others being aware at all
>>
Speaking of the Disciple, I really need to show scenes of their progress. I feel bad for letting them kinda fade away even though now you are in direct contact with them
>>
>>1193346
That would be cool, I know that was a bit time-consuming, but for the moment we are planning on long time project. I suppose we would agree to launch said project and then pass a bit of time with the disciple, to come back latter and see how the project are going.
>>
>>1193346
Speaking of him, once the other litch is awake can she just tell the council of necromancers to join us, explaining the disciples actions as a test?
They have reason to not trust us but they have no reason to not trust her.
>>
>>1193454
Hmmm...while that would be more practical, 1, I dont trust these council guys. There M.O reaks of stereotypical grandvizer. I would only want them on our side if they are left with NOTHING when they join. 2,I want to see the Disciple do this, both more fluff reasons and to help build a competent commander. If shit gets dicey, we can try to send a cloaked coffin or five with reinforcements. 3, Im worried that the Council would do something stupid, like say absorbing the shard o become some kind of uber-powerful aberration if we launch an invasion, and since the shard is our top priority on that planet, we need to walk on eggshells. and as a bonus, the masked that are interested in the Disciple might give him, and thus us, a reward for succeeding.
>>
>>1193567
Hmm fare enough, but I don't get why we don't send him some reinforcements, we know where he is and even if it takes a bit to get there it will still get there eventually
>>
>>1193700
Practice for guerrilla warfare? Both of our current foes make extensive use of slave labor, so figuring out how to teach the locales which end of a pitchfork to use and which targets to hit could help us in the long run. I am still for sending some reinforcments, preferably some of the orders once they have grown a bit. I think I remember hearing that the Council's domain might just be the solar system, so I doubt they have extensive experience with the energies. Not enough to build an army, but enough to support one and take part in key operations such as the equivalent of a 25 person party in an MMO.

I suppose it's some kind of super organism, like the Siphonophorae, with each bord acting as a different organism and (not) working in cohesion.

/pol and /b/ are obviously the dejection specialised organism.
