We give Lyann a kiss and finally get to sleep, while Mako lets out a soft little "fufufu..." as we squeeze her a bit tighter against ourselves. She's super soft and huggable, you know? It's to the point its a little hard to cycle the girls around because it'd be great if we could hug her to sleep every night... but there's no way we can say that to the other girls.

In the morning, after taking our time enjoying our everyday routine of waking each girl up, then bathing them with care before helping them dress up for the day (way too long, you say? Heresy! We don't do it for conveniency, we do it cause it's fun!), we finally take them to school, and once lessons for the day are over, we head home for lunch so we can talk with Miel.

Our faery queen is busily taking care of her hive, and her workers are flying around everywhere carrying nectar from flower to flower, and fighting off pests from the flowers and plants within their territory.

As they see us approach, the (surprisingly high level as of late) guards at the hive castle gates greet us, and one of them wordlessly goes into the hive, probably to let the queen know that te landlord wants to talk with her.

The tiny guards left at the gate... yeah, they have pretty nice gear. I guess Miel must have been sending them in rotations into the local foodgeons after all.

Eh... its still hard to imagine the tiny faeries fighting monsters on their own. Maybe they joined other people's parties instead? At least at the start.

Miel comes out and starts floating in the air in front of us with a happy expression.

"I found a good plot of land for you, so we're going to move the hive again." - we inform her
"Ehhh!? But..."

Well, we know what she wants to say.

It's been a lot of effort, but the townspeople have finally accepted them in their gardens, even though they're 'monsters'.

They can even go into the adventurer's guild without being attacked for loot, you know?

We built a greenhouse around their hive, so it is safe in winter, and its not as if any monsters come wandering into our garden to steal their honey.

Other than Stella, of course.

"Don't worry, its for the sake of shedding your 'monster' status. Rather than moving the hive, I think you can leave Miel II in charge here for a bit" -we explain- "Then when the new hive counts as its own town, you can leave a new queen there and come back here."

So, we call Miel II out of our [Menagerie] and have her take charge of our garden's hive, while Miel organizes a core group to go with her to the new site.

About 200 workers and 40 high level guards.

It sure sounds like a lot of people, but when you think of the size of our garden's hive, its a pretty small, pretty elite force, uh?

Anyway, before we go, Miel stops by the kitchen to thank mom, Ellie, and dad for taking care of her, and asks them to take care of Miel II while she's gone.

It will probably be for a few weeks at most, you know? At most.

Also, we had a simple but really sturdy glassteel 'table' prepared for them so they can build the new hive off the ground.

Well, its a round table with a thick central pillar. Once it has the faery castle on top, and the 'town' itself spreads under and around it, it will look very fantasy-like, you know?

Just in case, remember that glassteel is a really strong metal. I really doubt it will have any issues resisting the weight of the faeries' castle.

We take our own rockitship out, and head to the spot over the Yellowleaves forest, a bit to the south of New Hope (our former home turned Succubus town)

Yup, all the faeries fit in our boat. They're pretty tiny, you know?

Uhmm... with almost 300 high class blonde beauties with golden eyes and wasp (bee?) waists, isn't this a myth-class harem?

But... they're tiny!! 囧

Well, it takes a few hours to arrive, so we had to pack lunch to go.

And here we are. Its a spot right against the forest, with some low hills, and plenty of plants as well as a nearby spring.

I guess we should secure the glassteel platform to the top of the hill? That would give it an extra fantasy-ish feeling, right? The faery castle atop the hill.

The faeries are looking around with some interest, but they seem a bit worried about the lack of people, defensive town wall, foodgeon, adventurer's guild, town guards... just how civilized did you get while living in my garden, you!?

Well, it's been about 4 years... I don't know how long do regular bees live, but it would mean there's a chance these are 100% city girls, you know?

Miel seems to like it. She's a countryside person, after all.

"Here we go. You can begin building your own town from this spot." - we say as we carry the platform to the top of the hill and nail it in place.

The support beam is a good 6ft deep, you know? Since its only 4ft over the ground, that means its pretty firmly secured.

It is now that we deploy our secret weapon!

We bought several doll houses for them. Or rather, had Grumnir make them some proper-sized wooden buildings that they can use as a temporal warehouse, dormitories, baths and such.

Yeah, we had the dwarves repair and clean the town for the succubus, didn't we? We weren't gonna kick the faeries out into the wilderness just like that.

Specially since their prep work was so much cheaper *cough cough*

Let's not tell them that last bit.

Ah, it looks like a toy town, but... well, the faeries look at them with very serious eyes.

As for a town fence... anything toy sized would be just that, a toy, you know? Normal sized monsters demand a normal sized town wall, after all.

We did bring more than enough construction materials for them, btw.

Its actually something to be proud about, but with some simple clues, Lyann was able to finally develop some roman concrete, you know? Its pretty complicated to arrange foe the ingredients for now, but two large bags of it are within the realm of reason.

Well, two large bags should be more than enough for them to build whatever. I assume they're still building the castle out of wax, though...

Miel signs the land title, and all at once, every single honey-faery in the continent switches from 'monster' to either 'villager' or 'nomad' depending on if their hive is within a town or not.

Actually I just had lunch and found myself wondering how many calories it was... it was rice and two meat/cheese/meat buns if you are wondering. With some salat.

Anyway, I was munching while waiting on your replies, and since you haven't replied, that gave me a bit of time to think on food and calories. Then someone mentioned beastkin girls' milk and I wondered:

1) The reason they can fast grow with levels is to help them survive because their lives are typically hard.

2) They're not human. Its a very often seen mistake in sci fi and fantasy alike, but non humans acting just like humans in other colors or with pointy ears or what not is just silly.

3) They grow, but cannot breed until they're 15+ or 'of age' according to this world's baseline. This is to help them survive, again.

4) Would having more milk-producing females in the tribe be good or bad? Its calory and protein consuming, but it turns into a source of food and another reason to protect your females and steal other tribes. I mean, they are a valuable resource.

5) My problem with having all the beastkin girls lactate after a certain age (and I imagine, up to a certain age as well), is... well, Zoe and Stella. Stella is 3 years away from 15... do we want to milk her later on? What about Zoe in 5-6 years?

I mean, biologically speaking, I think its silly to think other species would stick to the human formula of menstrual cycles and such. I always thought beastkin girls would go into heat for 1-2 months every year but otherwise be quite asexual (in nature), if they would still enjoy physical attention.

We humans are horny bastards, we are in heat all the time and our females go through a fertility cycle that is monthly instead of annual, after all. But I dont see why other races should do the same.
