Just posting what there was in the last thread

Action: Scouting for food/wood/seeds, same as last time seeing as were dangerously low on supplys

Research: Get better methods of cultivating what we have for food. Which means better and more organized farming hopefully
>>
I demand the formation of a religios cult for the frogs

Seconded

Imperium of Frog-kind is a go
>>

Action: Make sure to have the clan stay under as much shelter as possible until the storm is at a safe distance.
Research: Hammers to advance our construction technology.

Posting whats been updated so far and then gonna be done for the day, still gotta wait for frogs.

The chickens stay in shelter for the storm as it closes in the west, just to be sure of their safety. The alpha hen is positive by tomorrow the storm will have have passed.

They also take the time to construct hammers - basically by accident with the formation of axes with blunt ends. Chickens can construct things now.

Bunnies realize they need to try to find those resources again, and send out a scouting party once more to find food, wood, or seeds.

They learn from experience the amount of land that crops need and know how to organize crops in an efficient way, as well as the importance of crops being close to water after some experimentation. This slightly improves their efficiency at growing their carrots.

G'night yall

Some suggestions for the future of the clan, original ideas, donut copy bunny and rooster clan;

Research: 1. Making a basic written language
2. Making a portable reading surface out of the reeeeeeeed

Action: Searching for intellectuals in the tribe to compile knowledge and experiment
>>
>>1439645
We already have a written mudmarking language.

We also have knowledge of tools and lilpad biology. We are doing pretty good. We need to focus on storm survival right now

>>
Froggos stitch their lillypads together using their newfound knowledge. They also are in the process of creating a mass netting system to trap fish in the lake into an easily catchable area. The project so far uses up all their Improved Twine Nets and require 15 more Improved Twine Nets to be implemented.

Some of the scattered fish deeper in the forest ends up being eaten by worms. Small scavengers are also taking bigger risks to approach the lake due to the scattered food supply.

Research stabilizing the lilypads and balancing the weight to prevent future disasters.

Action: Continue construction of the netting network
>>
I propose we chop down trees to make use of our construction technologies. While we do that we can research agriculture, such as better irrigation or selectively breeding our crops.

What do other chickens think? If there are any.
>>
>>1441045
>>1441001
Well fine then, guess we'll need to become self sufficent on a entirely new level

Research: The bunnys being fed up of the constant lack of wood turn to other methods of handles and such, by using chisels and hardwork they decide to just carve stone slabs into things that are normally reserved for wood, such as handles and other things often made of wood to counterbalance the lack of material out here. Odds are this will also make the bunnys stronger over time seeing as their tools will be a bit heavier but luckily more durable.

Action: Finally get around to digging more burrows to use as living space.
>>
Yo I wish to join the Frogs. Tell me whats up as my NyQuil fueled drug trip didn't allow me to comprehend what was happening
>>
>>1441119

>>
>>1441119
Storm fucked up 1 lillypad and our stockpile fish. So we reinforced the lilypads and are creating a netting network underwater to contain fish.

We have no tech aside from spears that could be used as weapons at tge moment but the netting will take a few turns. But if it completes we will have a heavy flow of population growth to grow more lilypads and make a laketown

Religion is one of the easiest ways to get things done.
If you really want to be good at something, found a religion that celebrates it.
>>
>>1442969
Or we could... just get it done. Efficiency is key.
>>
>>1442954
what this guy said>>1442969
1-Get religion , at least 10 frogs whit it
2-Expand religion to other tribes
3-make religion a controlled thing by the goverment of the frogs
4-make the converted chickens and rabbits spread the religion in they tribe , and when they leaders try to stop it , civil war begins
5-if they lose or win , whatever in the end , we win because they will be under our control or to weak
>>
>>1442982
>Efficiency
This is a pre-industrial civilization made of frogs, the best way to o anything is make it so a higher power tells them to do it.

You think anyone ever built great things in Europe on their own? Not before The Renaissance they didn't. Look at every single great structure and work of art that came out of periods relating back to the enlightenment and you're gonna find religion and rich people, and since you're not a sprawling trade empire or a system of feudal lords, looks like you only got one alternative.

If you want a nation that'll never die, make an evangelical warrior faith that praises strength and labor above all else and watch as your frogs don't need to be told to train every day, because they do it on their own, and their labor doubles over because they think god smiles on them when they do back breaking work.

But hey i mean do what you want, I just don't trust the stability of The boss Frog's rule alone.

>>
>>1443116
Seeing how the chickens and rabbits behave according to their background it is safe to say that frogs will as well. They are chill dudes who relax in the water. They are not territorial like chickens or landmongering bunnies. We are actually less likely to be tyrannical in comparison.

Bit we will fall behind if we start dicking around. We need development. Not religion and a civil war.
>>
>>1443213
These frogs just want to live a quiet life.
Such is The Frog way.

I disagree in saying that religion isn't development, but what do you consider development?
More Food?
More tools and weapons?
>>
>>1443225
Tools, weapons, knowledge, and learning to use those things.

Studying is key. Unless magic takes form in this world I dont see religion adding to it outside wasting a turn while a storm is wrecking our shit
>>
>>1443326
Because we'll be more centralized and prevent future mishaps like our people becoming so lazy they just refuse to do things, or do stuff in a really half-assed way.

Not to mention having a religious text gives validation to having anyone be literate at all. Regardless though, we can't just say "Studying" and expect anything to come of it. we need precise ideas and we need to know their practical effects on our clan as a whole.

In this, we're also not going to need to learn how to use tools when we make them, we wouldn't make them if we just had no idea what they were being made for. We already got spears down, so shit, if you're so adamant about religion being a waste of time then don't cry to me when it turns out we raise a nation of lazy sissy boys like we're DELIBERATELY doing already.

Let's master the art of growing reeds so we can both make reed armor and eventually learn how to make paper out of it so we can build libraries or schoolhouses down the road.

As frog population grows, they find that they can't have too many on the lillypad platform so some automatically settle on lake shore.

They continue to build their netting network. It should be done in two or three days.

Frogs figure they can stabilize lillypads by tying rocks to the edges and anchoring them. They need to search for big enough rocks to stay underwater though.

>>
>>1443348
I have no idea about what you mean when you say "studying alone" isnt enough.

Well no shit. They want to live. So they are figuring out how to make it the best life possible. So they horde fish and plan on spreading lake realestate and populating that pond propper.

That said we need to start growing lilypads in order to give our frogs proper homes.

I am also against the slave idea. Especially since some of these frogs are just lazy memers who dont seem to do anything but yell "praise kek"
>>
>>1443348
They also are not sissies. They fish with spears and nets, hauling netfulls of fish isnt light. At all. Boss Frog also needs to start a regular training program. Not train them once and call it quits like OP seems to have done. They are also always swimming which actually makes you pretty strong with stamina. Their homes are majority water based that keeps possible preditors and invaders at a distance.

There is merit to being smart and not just amassing weapons and starting religious or political propoganda.

So when OP adds the mood meter, you can bet that frogs living on the mainland are gonna be a little bullshit. So we need to really make homes for them
>>
>>1443521
Out traditions literally state frogs prefer feminine men. What do you mean we aren't breeding sissies into existence?
>>
We need to breed Bullfrogs as our Soldier class
>>
>>1443475
Action:Now having actual parts to make tools the Bunnys see to their next project. Using the abundant stone they have they see to making their burrow network grander and more defendable. They see to paving the ground and walls of their underground homes and halls with stone so they'll be more resilient while making the place look much nicer and cleaner. The crafting room should be able to handle the needs of people that need tools made as that was its intended purpose.

Research:the bunnys see to advancing further their agricultural knowledge. They create Hoes to till the land and make it more fertile to synergize with our irrigation.

>>
>>1443591
Religion has nothing to do with what you said. The entire population is fishermen and builders. They are pretty fit.

I suggest we start the growth of lilypads and continue building the nets. That is my suggestion for a turn. What do you guys want to do that is reasonable during a time where we lost homes and the stockpile?
>>
>>1443596
ok , i will vote to build more lilypads
but in a future i want to start a cult to spread chaos in the other tribes so we can strike them easy and quick
>>
>>1443596
They're lazy sissy boys as of currents, all evidence we have points to that fact.

But I suggest that instead of trying to make growing lillypads an action, let's build a giant lillypad farm all on its own that we can get a constant supply from, and maybe research some pad growing techniques like manual pollination.
>>
>>1443618
They are not sissies. Read old threads before commenting.

They are plenty tough. Unless you honestly dont know what real work is. Living ON WATER is not easy.

Research: Creating games for the frogs to boost morale. They can make hoops and toss spears for target practice. They can go diving for stones in a "fetch" fashion. They can race and compete with each other as well. It would be good training and boost happiness (i hope)

Research: The bunnys farming technology will know no bounds! Next on the agenda is selective breeding of crops, this way crops with favorable qualitys such as bigger size and such will be more prominent in our future crop yields.

Since it wont be lived in it wont have a hole for light so nothing can get in and mess with our supplys. Hopefully so if another disaster hits like when we first lost our crops we can rebuild and recover with whats stored away.

Research:Now having wood at our disposal some bunnys decide we'll need different tools in order to make the most use of it. Axes are made to harvest and carve the trees we have growing.

All hail the bumny king and his wisdom!
I agree to this
>>
>>1444883
I don't see my other Frogs anywhere, so if they don't pop up I vote this.

Action: Have some laws codified on our glorious mud slabs stating that the election for a new chief occurs once a year during the cold time.

Research: Let's start discovering mud bricks my mixing up mud with ground up kelp strands. That's pretty much what The Egyptians used.
>>
>>1445290
Seconded
>>
>>1445290
I agree if they can float on lilypads. If not, we make a lake fort
>>
>>1445309
I doubt they'll be able to float, but we could do a lake fort.
There's a castle in Game of Thrones I think that's built in the middle of a lake and nobody can conquer it because they can't even get to it.
Don't remember its name though.
>>
>>1445314
Also if we did work on a lake fort we could just hitch all the lillypads to it instead of using anchor rocks, hmm.
>>
>>1445314
If we use the bricks to make a wall around the lake (with openings obviously so we can evacuate possible floods)

Underwater fishing network completes next turn i think so that can be the new longterm goal
>>
>>1445318
Dont be fully reliant on that. If the walls fall at least they are still floating in homes. We dont need them homeless from walls pulling them underwater from attacks
>>
>>1445329
Yeah I'm sure we'll still use anchors, but maybe just the high class frogs or something.

Also the wall around the lake could be a good idea for a long term project, but at the time we really don't got the frog power to build it, much less man and maintain it.
>>
>>1445337
How about we invent the bricks for now and start with a small watch tower on the mainland just to get us started?
>>
OP, if you have time for fun and games: when elections happen can you do a little bracket of potential leaders and roll to see who wins? Seems like fun storytelling to me
>>
>>1444079
aww shit yes
>>
>>1445356
hey yeah lets make bricks , frogs need castle
>>
>>1444892
>Action: Have some laws codified on our glorious mud slabs stating that the election for a new chief occurs once a year during the cold time.

Research: The written clay slabs proved sturdy for much longer than the other materials. They began to shape them and stack them, realizing the possibilities they could have.
>>
>>1444911
I agree with the action, however we seem to be happy enough, so we could hold off researching music when we start losing morale...
I suggest we research on either spears or some primitive ranged-weapon like the sling or slingshot
>>
We gotta be ready for when the bunnies get aggressive
>>
>>1445525
We have net technology. Should be easy to make slings. We cab save songs amd arts for a rainy day
>>
>>1445361
Sounds like a good idea, I'll add it once elections are added.
Frog: >>1445290
Bunny: >>1444946
Chicken: >>1444911

Does this look good?
>>
>>1445535
Yes
>>
I feel like there are only a few chickens out there in the cold dankness of the internet
>>
>>1445535
Dont forget that the underwater net is complete this turn (seems you forgot last turn)
>>
>>1445553
I'm pretty much always lurking this thread in the daytime, but yeah not that many chickens.
>>
Goddammit Colonel Sanders!
KFC tastes too good!
>>
Also I >>1445535 seems alright...
>>
>>1445558
remember to make childs do draws , that will developement arts , writing , map and maybe make frog childs more smart , by spreading the knologed everyone has...
Or maybe just make some kind of boy scouts
>>
>>1445567
Arts are important for learning. What do the other frogs say?
>>
>>1445570
I agree

Frogs write down their laws in their mud tomes about the chiefdom elections. It is said to be every year during the cold time. From what frogs know of life at the lake, the cold time is going to come in around fifteen days.

Frogs also convert some mud tablets into building bricks. Given the amount of mud near the lake, this supply is bountiful.

Also the net was completed last turn, a boost in population growth is experienced.

Chickens made a wooden pen for animals and a form of music is created using twine. Mood is lifted by this discovery.

Bunnies pause pavement to construct new burrows. They also make stone axes for chopping down trees. Their saplings will take a few more turns to grow though.

Got to run, anchor here
>>
ok so , froggo , what is next move?
>>
To all the other chickens, what do you think of constructing more shelters for the other nests, which benefit from our hammers?
Probably research a weapon, either something sharp, maybe using something we already have, or using nets.
>>
>>1445592
>>1445573
>>1445567
Okay my Croaky Comrades we are at the stage of OPTIONS!

Our growth rate dwarves chickens and is half of bunnies. Bunnies got very little weaponry but good underground defences as we have aquatic defenses.

Chickens have tools that could double as weapons like we do, but we have more than them amd they are long range.

We have a food source no one can touch unless they learn to waterbreathe.

That being said there is MANY ACTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM

There is also MANY RESEARCH TOPICS TO CAREFULLY SELECT

Research: Art- It can lead to happiness and a renaissance and down the road it can lead to mapmaking and blueprinting structures

Song: Like our slabs, we can carry stories down generations thru song and give a morale boost.

Slings: Like our spears it would be a good long range weapon, but refilling a sling is more cost effective than tossing and losing a spear.

Improve spears: Make them durable with twine and make them with stone arrowheads lile the knives

Build a watch tower: Looks out for predators

Build wall around lake: A multiturn feat that would give us the most unbreakable defense out of all the tribes. Chickens cant enter and bunnies cannot burrow into water.

ACTIONS

Build lake wall: Continues the effort amd speeds it up

Make more spears: Match our population with weapons

Send a land scouting party: search for new resources

Send a lake scouting party: Find treasure or new materials to build with

Trade with chickens again: Maybe we can learn the way of omnivores with food. Or trade spears for axes so we can collect tree logs.

i said we do slings
we also need to do what i propoused about using kids in to the "frog scouts"
and also making a trade whit the chickens migth come useful , and making a watch tower too
But i would prefer to do this in order:
1-Frog Scouts to map, generate art and more knologed
2-Trade whit chickens
3-Slings
4-Watchtower
If trade whit chickens is succesful i said we start more diplomatic actions , to the point our people walk to tribe to tribe , some even living here and so in a future migth use our power and alliance to our own good
>>
>>1445619
Chickens are territorial. Violence is almost guaranteed.

Scouts is a good idea too.
>>
>>1445625
I think the tower is a good idea.
Considering that rabbits have numbers on their side if we had a tower we could have both range and awareness on our own side.
>>
>>1445625
They are violence indeed , but they like to have stuff rigth? like food rigth? so what if , we go there and stablish an idea so both get good shit
>>
>>1445590
You seem to have missed the storage room part, anyways.

Action: Scout out for animals that can be either ridden or are useable for things such as wool.

Research: The bunnys worried that their prosperity as been uninterrupted for so long that something might stop it in the future. In turn the bunnys devised a idea. They learnt that a particularly flexable branch combined with grass twisted together and notched to each end can launch things. They tried attaching the pointy end of a Sharpened improved digger onto a handle and when launched it stuck into the dirt. They dub this invention, a bow.
>>
>>1445627
>>1445628
I vote making a scouting team exploring the land along the lake and rivers as an action. When they get back we can use a research turn to learn and write down survival techniques.

For research I would build a tower.
>>
>>1445638
Hmmm well then , yes , lets explore land and lakes and build at least 1 watch tower
>>
I'm fine with anything
>>
>>1445590
Research:
At the former stockpile site and near the lilypad farm a team of frogs begin to build a watchtower from their bricks. The idea is to keep to high ground to see anything in the distance.

Action: A party of 5 frogs is assembled by Boss Frog. They are the best athletes of tge village. They are used as a scouting party to searcg eastward of the lake. They can swim the distance, but must explore inland.

>>1445664
it begins
>>
>>1445590
Action: It's a good idea to keep our base safe, so chickens construct more walls, on the east side for now since we're the most vulnerable there, with the help of our hammers.

Research: Shovels in order to better dig holes to help us make pitfall traps.
>>
>>1445664
Back.
Are we sure we can actually use a research action for building?
i mean we're not making any sort of scientific advancements, we're just building.
>>
>>1445604
As I've been saying, we need to begin preparing for a frog offensive and counterattack. first should be starting to walk off camp, then training and weapon developments, then higher growth rate, more warriors.
>>
>>1445701
Rile up the troops
>>
>>1445604
Research better shelters/fortifications using the wood, action capture and begin domesticating the spiders we found to use their silk and other resources (potentially as battle mounts? don't big enough spiders eat frogs?)
>>
>>1447387
Adding to this, OP, how venomous are the spiders? Could we use them as hunting companions, or would they make the meat inedible? If we manage to tame and them, we should selectively capture/breed ones that either paralyze or induce necrosis (because it would be a death sentence to be bit, as medicine is non-existent)
>>
>>1447547
Spider venom is harmful when spiders bite someone, not when the spider is ingested by chickens.
>>1445634
Will include next turn
>>
>>1447683
I meant, if spider were to bite a deer, would it ruin the meat?
Fairly sure you already gave me the answer, but just for clarification.
>>
>>1447796
The meat wouldn't be ruined, because ingesting venom would not poison you. I'm not an expert in spider biology, but I've read venoms are enzymes, basically meaning they are types of proteins which break down in the stomach, so I'm just gonna say the meat will be safe unless someone drops knowledge on me.
>>
>>1445607
I say we learn song. it could make our people happy and could possibly help us make diplomatic allies with the chickens, it'll give our people culture, frogs sing IRL and a war song could be a good way of intimidating our enemies. although I do think scouts would be a good idea as >>1445619 said
