The Raiders – Part 17

You are not normally a githyanki that enjoys pain. Oh, there are those that do, masochists that enjoy pain inflicted upon them and sadists that enjoy inflicting pain, but you personally consider these mental aberrations that are developed during feral years. Typically githyanki are more moderate where pain infliction or suffering is concerned, which is survival oriented in your opinion.

But Tzanzi makes it feel so good!

You are lying on some cushions off to the side of your cell, recovering from one of the most violent lovemaking sessions you've ever had (which does indeed include those you have previously enjoyed with Tzanzi). You're going to be wearing some scars from that even with the judicious use of magic to heal the wounds you've suffered. Part of that might be Tzanzi's nature, and you have to admit that part of it is simply that you want to keep some of these scars, particularly a set across your hip.

Placing the broken spur-tip in the pouch of gems and precious stones that you normally keep in a small self-space in the wall of your cell, you sigh and tie the delicate velvet back closed once more. Lying back on the cushions you reach for one of the journals you keep here, and decide on what you will spend your remaining recovery time.

[] Something to do with the Silver Swords and their making.
[] Magical research of course – you have spells to develop.
[] A new journal for your new set of skill and powers – forbidden, yes, but you need direction.
[] Adding a few more drawings to your book of sexual escapades might be in order.

It seems like it's going to become an issue (also could help keep our promise to Yashi) so might as well get a head start! Let's put Akko's terrifying brain to work and hope Silver Swords can't detect and prosecute thought-crimes!

[X] Something to do with the Silver Swords and their making.
[X] Magical research of course – you have spells to develop.

Combining two avenues of research isn't something you typically do – you like to focus on one thing and finish it – but in this case it might be more profitably to work on spells and study the Silver Swords. Siobhan purrs a soft approval in your mind, her soft, sweet songe strange and melodious in a way that she was not before too long ago.

You pull out your personal spell book, and take the pen and vial of ink from the flap of the cover. The shakiness of your hands isn't a hindrance; when you place the pen to paper your adrenaline-induced jitters vanishes in the face of discipline and skill. A sweeping, slow curve, and a series of lines through it is a start, the symbols meaningless to anyone but you. You wipe away a bead of your own blood that clings to your arm, and smile, the scratches along your arm from Tzanzi's nails not terribly deep. You gave her a few too, some very deep indeed.

The first few strokes of the spell-work completed, you pull a second book from the shelf nearby and open it, flipping through the pages carefully. It doesn't take long to find what you are looking for. A recounting of a Supreme Leader and the True Silver Sword he used. It doesn't take long to skim though the treatise to find what you want to know: how the powers of such a sword are different than those of a Silver Sword. Deadlier to visitors on the Astral Plane, for certain; the ephemeral Silver Cord that binds soul to body is vulnerable to the edges of the Silver Swords, but a True Silver Sword shears through them easily. It is also interesting to note that the wielder of such weapons tend to go for the throat or neck more often than not, and the number of times the words 'their head taken by' that crops up considering such weapons is unusually high.
>>
You briefly consider the idea that the phrase is a florid description of a death, but it doesn't really seem that way, at least in this book. The other descriptions are also simple and oddly exacting. 'Ran his heart through', 'carved into his liver from the side', and 'removed his arm at mid upper'. Exacting deadly blows, succinct and basic. You've taken a head or two, and it isn't easy, not in one blow. Especially those of your own kind or those of the enemy. Musculature and integument respectively.

With careful deliberation you begin work on a second spell. It is a spell slightly lower in power than you are capable of using, but it might be worth while. You sadly suspect it would not work on Siobhan herself, but it could impart greater power to a lesser blade. The song she sings intensifies, suggesting, helping you shape the ideas in your mind into forms on the parchment that lies before you, and you place more symbols and sweeping lines upon the page. For now there are great swaths of white, but eventually the page will be filled with geometric shapes and flowing symbols that impart information and understanding. Twelve of them, six for each spell, you suspect. Maybe a little less.

Siobhan warns you of the approach and you roll over, placing the treatise on the elder warriors in mid air as you pluck a delicate and ancient tome from another shelf, glancing at Kteine as she approaches. Yzia is watching subtly, as she tends a still-wounded Tzanzi with the help of Rana Najla.

That seems like a weird thing for us to think, but as long as we convey to Siobhon that that doesn't mean "try it" (or... I don't think that's what it means), I'm curious to find out as well.

[X] She can sit and watch for the moment; you doubt she has a handle on her thoughts just yet.
[XX] As a point of curiosity, ask Siobhan how deeply she can reach into the githyanki's mind.

As she approaches, you relax and let yourself rest on the cushion once more. You're still more than a little shaken by the intensity of your lovemaking with Tzanzi, and meditative rest is something you will need, but you can spare some times for your cadre. The consternation in her expression undoubtedly stems from her conflict with her once-lovers; it's understandable, and not anything alien to the githyanki mindset as a general rule.

Speaking from experience.

You may feel free to join me, Lovely, you inform her silently. The fact that you happen to include Yzia in this thought is entirely coincidental, of course. Siobhan makes inquisitive noises and feelings in her soft mind-song.

The mental exchange does bring up a point of interest. The Silver Swords typically are empathic, except when they are Attending to Stronghold matters. The fact that they are capable of greater communication when acting in the interest of the Stronghold is interesting, and it brings to mind a question. Siobhan, how deeply can you reach into the mind of another? Such as Kteine? she replies with a soft song that conveys more than merely empathic communication; there are images, and soft words in the song. Telepathy, albeit unusual telepathy.

Her answer is predictable: she can only reach as far as thoughts directed at her. She cannot search the mind of another, and even the, most of what she receives are feelings and conceptual ideas, rather than thoughts. Likewise, all she can send are similar empathic and conceptual projections, and nothing overwhelming or potent. The answer isn't particularly enlightening, but negative information does have some use. You avoid asking about her ability to upgrade her communication skills when Attending to Stronghold related duties. That might be treading on dangerous territory.

You're already on very shaky ground.

You add those thoughts to one of the spells you are starting work upon, the tremor in your hand crushed into precision movements and delicate calligraphy. Kteine settles next to you, and Yzia watches with undisguised interest now, even as she gives Tzanzi a massage similar to that Rana gave her earlier. Auena is looking in your direction as well, her cheeks coloring.

Kteine watches you scribe the lines and symbols into your spell book, and hesitates a moment, glancing at the inscriptions upon your skin that she has not seen before; you only recently added the spell-scars, emergency spells in the worst case scenario style. You note that she has left her sword across the room, though that really doesn't mean much to a gish of the psychic persuasion. A smile reassures her and she starts to put her thoughts in order. “You should find an enchanted spell tome to scribe your spells in,” she suggests, reminiscent of another's comment on the same manner, amusingly enough.

I'm having trouble parsing this. Like is Akko talking about arcane talent in general?
>>
>>1489853
Like I don't know, in the first thread where this came up, Akko said enchanted tomes were too ostentatious and thus an easy target, and also she doesn't want to be in a situation where she loots an enchanted book, writes some of her spells in it, and has to give it up later, but she was interrupted before she could get into it more.
>>
>>1489842
>[X] What makes you suggest that, Lovely?
I feel like while we should maybe explain our reasons initially, we shouldn't shut down the possibility of her having a good point.
>[] There are some things magic shouldn't be used for.
I'm not really sure whether or not we're voting on how Akko expresses a pre-existing view, or determining the nature of that view, but I find this one pretty interesting, and think it could be neat to see elaborated. Like why shouldn't magic be used to write down magic? Is there some risk of it becoming unmoored?

[x] Yzia said that as well....
[x] There are some things magic shouldn't be used for.
[x] What makes you suggest that, Lovely?
[x] Ask her what she would do if the wellspring of her power was a valuable commodity.
[X] Write in? Your question is interesting, and there are a variety of explanations....

With a smile you reach up and take a slender tome bound in the silvery hide of some eldritch beast of the material planes. You offer it to her, and she opens it curiously. Kteine can't read the delicate, almost simplistic designs of your most basic spells, the cantrips that your master taught you and forced you to utilize until you had perfected their use before moving on to greater spells. “Yzia asked me something similar, a while ago.”

She blinks and then riffles the pages again, her expression of consternation intensifying as she realizes there are many more pages in that book than there should be given it's size and insignificant thickness. “Schechei said that books such as these were worth a hundred hand-weight in gems. She claimed one could hold three times her entire repertoire of spells.” She frowns studying the strange patterns and shapes of your spells. “I am no spellcaster, but these seem to be the most basic and simplest of spells....”

You nod agreeably. “They are. All the cantrips I was taught, and nothing more. You may not need to place your powers within stones or dorje, Kteine, but a spellcaster must generally have such a tome to study from unless they take extraordinary measures.” You trace the edges of your spell book, and then turn back to where some of your true spells are inscribed. They take up several of the delicate pages of vellum each, and you trace the lines of colored ink carefully. “That book could hold nearly all my spells. This one barely holds one third of them.” she shakes her head at you, confused.

As you did with the True Sight spell, you funnel Arcane force into your mind, drawing knowledge of the spell from the noosphere of the Astral Fundament, adding the spell to your mind with the others there, before casting it upon the book. Kteine watches, and then looks at the book in her hands. “Open it,” you suggest gently.
>>
She does so and then flips through the pages several time – the ordinary, blank, much fewer pages than had been in the book before. “Such books are valuable and precious, and they are often considered prizes to be taken. If I were to enter a duel with another gish and lose, I would have to return to my spell books in any case. Schechei would give much to have this little booklet, but as you can see, a single spell of median strength has made the spells inaccessible.” It only takes a moment for the suppressed magics to return and she blinks in surprise. “A more powerful spell, or several items of potent magical disruption, could entirely destroy the magics within that book rendering it not only worthless, but removing all the spells within it forever.”

Kteine nods slowly. “I....see.” Already her mind is seeking ways to turn the knowledge to use, to plan and utilize the secrets you have given her as weapons against her enemies. Whomever they may be.

With a smile you sit up and set your own spell book to the side. “If your power was contained separate from your mind, would you risk it by making it obvious? Magical power is a valuable thing, and your psychic power no less so.” She places her hand over one of her badges, an intricate knot-work of copper with gleaming white gems, a psychic battery or container of some sort you suspect. “While spell books are rarely used in public, there are times when spellcasters need them for immediate study. A delay in learning the spell could be a disaster in the making. The power I draw from the Astral Fundament is much more difficult to dispel or interrupt, but few mages can access it. So....reliance on a magical tome is much the same. The drawbacks outweigh the potential benefits in my – clearly biased – eyes.”

She looks at the spells you've scribed into your skin, and the tip of her tongue flicks over her spurs behind her closed lips. You recognize that expression of doubt and need.

I don't know, do our best to balance what we would have wanted to hear when we were in her shoes with with what seems to have helped us the most?
>[] Ask Siobhan if Kteine has earned her Silver Sword yet.
That's kind of interesting, since we just established the extent of the mental contact Silver Swords can make. Are we essentially just asking Siobhan whether Kteine reads as "Githyanki" and previous displays of ability read as "good enough"?

Well I'd imagine while Siobhan can't really read thoughts, silver swords in general are probably pretty good at assessing whether someone qualifies for carrying one. Whether through magical means or just keen observation and thorough knowledge of what's needed.

>[] Offer her your sympathies – it isn't as though you haven't been in her place!

[X] Offer her your arm to study – and touch.
[X] Ask Siobhan if Kteine has earned her Silver Sword yet.
[XX] Gently prompt her to speak her mind....or perhaps her heart.
[X] Write in? You do not typically go out of your way to damage love affairs, despite your personal feelings about them.

You recognize touch-hunger readily enough. It isn't unique to the githyanki by any means, but it crops up often in warrior races, especially those who have lost loved ones. The obvious excuse is obviously an excuse, yet you offer your arm despite that. Or perhaps because of it. She should speak her mind about such things, but it is a weakness, and you tend to have a slightly different view of what constitutes weakness compared to other githyanki.

Kteine takes your hand, placing her palm under yours and then carefully traces the sweeping lines and strange sigils you placed upon your kin. The razor sharp crystal wand you used to inscribe the spells into your skin was not magical, but the act itself was. The shimmering lines catch the light, the powdered gemstones and blood that comprise the 'ink' of the 'tattoos' will fade with each casting, just as if they were scrolls you had written.

You have to admit the slow, gentle touch of her soft, cool hands is soothing, even enticing, but her expression is unreadable at the moment. The throbbing of the artery in her throat is a good indicator that she is at least excited by the experience, which is really rather flattering. Scribed with a different spell, you offer your other arm to her, and she looks at you, need and desperation blooming in her eyes of burnt sunflower.

Siobhan....has Kteine earned her Silver Sword? She is of a skill level equal to her twin's; she should have been given one by now.

Th floating melody she sings in your mind become more intense, questioning. She cannot do so alone; at least one other Silver Sword would be required to judge and witness. Her thought immediately goes to the Silver Sword in your hidden vault in the wall of your Cell, and she asks if she may utilize his aid.

[] Of course she may do as she needs, why is she even asking?
[] If it will not irritate the other weapon, she may.

[X] If it will not irritate the other weapon, she may.
[X] Write in? Has my own paranoia rubbed off on you, my love?

The fact that she is asking about utilizing another Silver Sword's assistance – even if it without a wielder – is unusual. You inquire and she does indeed mirror your paranoia about alerting the Knights and Her Majesty to your peculiar nature and undoubtedly illicit power. Particularly, she informs you in song and image, after the inquisitor's visit.

I am not as concerned about that unless you need protection from the others in some manner; it will be Kteine that is under the questioning, not myself. So long as the Silver Sword does not find the need irritating or unpleasant, you may utilize it instead of another blade. She acknowledges both your concerns and the lack thereof, and Kteine suddenly stiffens, her eyes going wide.

Gish Kteine is granted the right to receive a Silver Sword. The blade that you took from the warrior – Leader, really – that suffered through their ambush speaks in all the minds within reach of its broadcast; you wonder if there is something more that prevents Siobhan from contacting the others and granting the rights to a Silver Sword. You had Malnae check to see if Schechei could do so, and while Siobhan was interested she only took note of the allowance.

Kteine' eyes widen and she looks at you in shock as she gently grasps your wrists, and you tilt your head to one side, looking into those burned sunflower eyes of hers. “It is a poor attempt at an apology for the pain I inadvertently caused you, but perhaps you will find in a blade of your own some relief and succor.” She opens her mouth, tries to say something, the words tangling in her mind as her thoughts race. “I may not have any appreciation for love, but that does not mean I wished to take it from you.”
>>
Her eyes fill with the oily ichor of tears, and you gently extricate one wrist from her grasp. You brush the tears away with your thumb, carefully and she lowers her head as her skin and yours absorbs the oily liquids. “You may speak your heart and mind to me, Kteine. I am your Leader, but I am also your mentor, and perhaps, if you allow it, your friend.”

Her body shudders with wracking, heaving breaths, soft, hiccuping noises erupting from her throat as she sobs in the manner of you kind – her kind, fully and entirely. She leans over into your lap and her hands clutch at your waist as you stroke her wild short hair, soothing her as best you can without treating her like a childer.

Yzia comes over and settles next to you, leaning warmly into you and adding her hand to yours, even as her other hand slips along your back to stroke your spine gently. “Yet again you surprise me, this time with the tenderness and mothering qualities I honestly believed you would never dare demonstrate in public.”

[X] Hush, woman, or I will make you the mother of our children yet!
[X] Write in? If you are not careful I will go out of my way to surprise you in a very different manner.

You turn your head and nuzzle Yzia's neck softly, gently, as you stroke the hair of the shivering young githyanki half-resting in your lap. Yzia, if you so much as breathe another word concerning my gentle nature, I will make you the mother of our child, Dead Gods so help me. Her cheeks burn a soft golden color, her aasimar flesh looking like you glazed or burnished them in her embarrassment. Aloud you posit something else entirely. “I suppose that is a form of flattery regarding my ability to surprise you, if it is not an insult to be so badly underestimated.”

She tangles her hand gently in Kteine's hair and turns to you to give you a slow, deep kiss, which you reciprocate firmly and eagerly. If you continue to threaten me with parentage, I may force you to do so, Akko. Perhaps I will be as beloved to you as Tzanzi at such a point, she teases mildly, the images of you taking Tzanzi in the forced mindscape clashing rather vividly with the actual memories of seeing you and Tzanzi in the midst of what is either a desperate fight or some of the most violent sexual activity she has ever witnessed.

The embarrassment at being reminded of your fantasies overwhelms your good sense for once, and you slide your hand up the back of your beloved companion's body, through the golden hair she has chosen, and Siobhan's greedy, violent hymns resound in your mind as she intuits what you are about to do. Then, if you are so jealous of her, wear my mark as I wear hers, Yzia!
>>

Oh? Not where I thought my write-in would lead, but I'm interested. Though I think Akko forgot that Kteine is still in her lap.
>>
>>1489986
Oh my
>>
Yzia's eyes open wide as you break the kiss, only to lunge and drive your spurs deep into the soft join of shoulder to neck. You ignore the intense, sharp pain of a spur breaking off in her immensely tough, inhuman flesh.....at least until the acidic taste of your own blood is commingled with the searing fires of her blood. You draw back with a strangled cry, your hand coming up to your mouth as liquid fire drips from it, the taste of your – literally – burning blood seared away by the intense heat of her dragon's blood consuming your mouth.

Startled, Yzia ignores the wound you inflicted upon her, and gently but firmly pushes a shocked Kteine away from your lap while making you lean over, your personal gravity influenced by your seated position. The dragon is not being cruel or selfish: she is preventing Kteine from being burned as the terrible fluids drip down your chin.

Dead Gods Blood, Akko! Are youINSANE? I only look mortal!

Kteine moves to you and grabs you by the head, a halo of pale blue light surrounding her body and the scent of wildflowers permeating the fundament around you. You feel her adjusting your body, altering your flesh to withstand the potent fires of the dragon's blood. It still burns, but it won't horribly injure you any further.

On second thought, maybe being predictable has some merits?
Not really sure whether or not we've spoiled the moment yet or if we did something taboo to dragon-culture or just tremendously ill-advised for purely physical reasons, but while I'm figuring that out, I do know we should do this:
>Convey gratitude to Kteine for her quick thinking
>>
>>1489992
>[x] Kiss Yzia again and share your blood mingles with hers.
Not where I was expecting this to go but I'm not complaining. Any time we surprise dragon like this is good times for me!
>>
>>1489992
>[] Drink the blood you've taken now that you can survive doing so.

>"This is for implying you're not as beloved, my Yzia." Kiss her deeply.

>Heal yourself, you'd rather not have burn scar tissues all over your face and mouth.

>Apologize to Kteine. You really wanted to comfort her, not have her in the middle of a dragon makeout session. Also, thanks her for the spell.
>>
Isn't Schechei our daughter, too, by the same logic Kteine is?
>>
>>1490004
Yes.
>>
>>1490004
Clearly she's the rebellious one with a girlfriend who's bad for her
>>
>>1489992
I kind of feel like candidly telling Kteine that while we're always there for her if she wants to talk, we might not be as on top of matters of the heart as we previously thought before these last couple cycles.
>>
>>1489992
Also wait, how fast did Kteine do that psychic technique? Like does Akko currently have lips?
>>
>>1489992
>[] Drink the blood you've taken now that you can survive doing so.
>>
>>1489992
Maybe
>[] Kiss Yzia again and share your blood mingles with hers.
Give her a second of warning in case that's something she has really strong feelings against first, maybe?

Also perhpas
>chide her for not expecting us to do this eventually after we kissed her true form
>suggest we'll be better prepared next time?
>>
>>1490010
Moms don't break the illusion of complete control, anon!
>>
>>1490020
True, but does that mean acting like this was all part of the plan and we didn't forget (or in a fit of emotion, ignore) solar dragons have radiant blood?

[X] Kiss Yzia again and share your blood mingled with hers.
[X] Drink the blood you've taken now that you can survive doing so.
[X] Write in? Kteine deserves more than an apology for this....

Kteine starts to pull away but you seize her wrist tightly, causing her to let out a surprised chirp of what is probably pain. You relax the grip a little, but only a little, as you force a kiss onto Yzia, your blood and hers mingled in your mouth, then in hers, the broken spur still bleeding and that blood set aflame by the potency of Yzia's blood. Yzia is startled, and then shudders, relaxing into the kiss, sharing the taste of her blood and yours, the bonds of magic and power now deepened by blood. There are several shocked shouts and cries of pain, though Kteine's is not among them, and you pull away, Yzia's body an incandescent torch of rainbow-filled light.

You release her from your one armed grip, only to draw Kteine into an embrace. Here I meant to comfort you, and instead draw you into an affair between myself and my companion. Forgive me, my Lovely daughter. You kiss her forehead and she gasps softly, your kiss leaving a faint mark upon her brow, and the knowledge that you find her acceptable, even preferable as a daughter warming her heart and lessening the pain she was in.

She embraces you tightly, the mark glistening upon her brow, and she whispers to you silently. You have given me more than I could have dared asked. I would pay the price again, to be your spawn and to serve you in battle and in home, to be your warrior and acolyte. In the burning light of your dragon, which is slowly fading, you hold the troubled gish tight and accept her fealty even as you offer an honor you did not give your own flesh and blood.

Auena, Yashi, and Tzanzi stare at the sight, and as the dragon's body returns to normal – transformed though she remains, to your surprise – you realize they are staring at you rather than Yzia.

A cold chill settles in your bones as you realize what they feel and see in you, despite the heat of your dragon's blood running through your body. You lift your arm, the spell inscribed in your flesh dissipating and leaving your lower arm bare as you invoke the power of the Greater Infernal Healing to prevent the scars and wounds that have burned your face and mouth. It works, of course, leaving you unscarred – even your spur has grown back. But nothing can erase the taint of power that has resulted from your ill advised, impulsive, and all too meaningful marking of your dragon.

Power, it seems, is your curse to bear.

>To Be Continued.

Player's Choice:
Akko gains one Mythic Tier.
or
Akko gains one level of Magus.

Either way, Yzia gained one Mythic Tier. Akko will be able to conceal either form of growth long enough to join the Raid. Dunzamn will be furnishing Kteine with her own Silver Sword (not the one in Akko's cell, that must be returned to the Smiths) since she is part of your Cadre and his Raid, while Schechei's was already arranged otherwise .

Thank you for Reading and Playing.
>>
>>1490025
Akko please

Gonna have to think on this choice, thanks for running
>>
>>1490025
The level would be nice for more level 6 spells and a bonus feat but more ability points would be good too from the mythic level.
>>
>>1490025
I'm leaning towards Magus 17 for those extra spellslots.
>>
>>1490025
We didn't also inflict Mythic Power on Kteine, did we?

But seriously, didn't Akko just reach level 16 in the fight where she picked up that Silver Sword she stashed? This seems to be growing to absurdity.

Still, thanks for running, kind of wish we looked into Swords more but it can't be helped!

A Poll!
A poll!
A poll!

Let us not go to Camelot, 'tis a silly place.

http://www.strawpoll.me/13026170
>>
>>1490031
Also, is it me, or does over half of our Mythic Tiers, and all of Yzia's center around sex/romance?
>>
>>1490035
Following that logic most Mythic Tier Characters in the setting ought to be bards.
>>
>>1490031
You did not.

As for growing to absurdity, the entire premise of the game was utterly absurd. She accomplished several acts of legendary status, including not one, but two different rituals of power and fighting off an inquisitor who got inside her head. You get experience from those things as well.
>>
>>1490035
Akko's just that good in bed

Sex and romance with a dragon. The dragon part is kind of important.
>>
>>1490033
Went with Magus because it's getting up there in levels now and I didn't want to leave such a big decision for the QM. This is a quest after all!
>>
>>1490045
I also think Magus would be better, but I don't care that much about doing the optimal mechanical choice and more about what fits best thematically. Leaving it up to XS is fine by me.
>>
>>1490043
I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed with the results of a reverse image search. Still a pretty good image though.
>>
>>1490053
I find it interesting because usually the secretary gets bitten by the boss, not the other way around.
>>
So, Yzia knows we love her just that much, now?
>>
Thanks for running!
>>
>>1490073
Most likely.
>>
>>1490043
Yeah, it's sometimes hard for me to appreciate that due to Githyanki and Solar Dragons already having a long history of partnership.

Which reminds me of a question: what does Akko know about how Solar Dragons and Githyanki started working together?

I think I remember in DnD lore to get a partnership with red dragons, a deal was made with Tiamat herself, with Gish either agreeing to serve her, or Vlaakith secretly selling Gish into slavery, but I'm pretty sure you said that Gish's disappearance in this quest is a lot more mysterious, and I'm not sure if Solar Dragons have any special reverence for Tiamat.

It's not one of the strong points of her studies, but as she understands it, the deal was made to provide a certain clannish group of Solar Dragons safe places to nest and recuperate after an assault on their clans by a series of severely maddened void dragons. The growth of the dragon's clan and the githyanki strongholds led to the current arrangements.
>>
>>1493162
So XS, what's Yzia feeling right at this moment?
>>
>>1493174
Shock. As in mental and physical disruption of her normal mental and physical activities, to the point of potential life function shutdown, except she doesn't actually need any of those functions to live because she's in the Astral Plane.

Not 'she is shocked' but 'she is going into shock'. Fortunately she will survive it quite well, if not easily or happily at the moment.

It has also become obvious to everyone present that this is no longer a matter of love or affection, but of soul mates.
>>
>>1493186
>we waifu'd her so hard she went into shock

we're the cutest spur toothed monster
>>
>>1493186
Huh. I guess we'll have to be a bit gentler with her when we're on the raid in a material plane.
>>
>>1493186

Well fuck.

I hope Akko will do something to help. That must be hell for a dragon to be like that.
>>
>>1493328
It's pretty shocking, yes.
>>
>>1490038
Wait, there was a premise thread in a qtg like there was for Ryukuza? Time to do some digging.
>>
>>1493354
No, there is not. The premise of the game was a poowerful mage-warrior who rides a dragon was going to get chicks and raid unsusupecting communities. That was the entirety of it.

Nothing more or less.
>>
>>1493358
Oh right, absurd from an outside perspective (or possibly absurd even by a high fantasy view and my perspective has gotten really skewed along the way).

Speaking of chicks we've gotten, I hope Cyrillian's freshly regained sanity hasn't been too badly impacted by the recent antics, since the inquisitor showed up literally immediately after we did that ritual, and things seem to have barely calmed down since then.
>>
>>1493358
I hope we get to raiding eventually!

>>1493364
Can you really call a Yuan-ti Pureblood sane by any real metric?
>>
>>1493367
That's discrimination against snake people, anon. I vaguely recall it being said that the material plane Cyrillian (which, now that I think about it, almost certainly isn't her real name) had sneeple (specifically the Children of Yig?) as a naturally occurring elder race, and presumably not dedicated to the ideals of evil and vileness
>>
>>1493392
She was literally infiltrating a human kingdom, that's Yuan-ti purebloods to a T. As is the large resistance/immunity to magic of the mind
>>
>>1493402
>>1493392
>>1493367
She is a human formed Serpentfolk infiltrator. A ritual transforms their bodies into a human shaped one (but their insides are still wildly different). They are naturally immune to mind effecting abilities except telepathic communication (so standard magic aside from mind effects work perfectly well on her).

As for her mental state, she's actually quite well, if a little awestruck by her mistress' displays of viciousness and power. Yustuoc is still completely convinced she is in hell. Mayune is equal parts terrified and worshipful of the divine being that is her mistress.
>>
>>1494310
>(but their insides are still wildly different)
Oh. Oh ouch. That explains how one of her previous owners figured out what she really was, and thus had her tongue cleaved to look like a snake's.
>>
Well, the poll is pretty conclusive. So consider it done.
>>
>>1496578
Looking forward to seeing the result!

This should interest those who pay attention to such things.

Wait... Did you just give us both Magus 17 AND Mythic 4?
>>
>>1502864
19 votes gave me thematic control, and 4 votes for each side on mythic and level. So, the theme of the game has been "too much power for your own good".

Hence, both.
>>
>>1502951
Too generous!
>>
>>1502855
Damn, Akko's equipment is fucking stacked
>>
>>1503113
Note that she has not used most of those books.
>>
>>1503065
If by 'generous' you mean 'holy shit you've just fucked us royally and put us in the exact worst position ever', then you are correct and you are welcome.

Just kidding.
_Mostly.
>>
>>1506659
We were already royally fucked. At this point more power just means we're better prepared if/when worst comes to worst, right?
