Okay, while you still have the chance, one last look around the area! You breathe out “Samma Ditthi” to try and sense just how this alien intends to use the device he has, reading what bits of his complicated mind you can analyze. Ahh... of course! It’s a mental restraint of some kind, keeping Broly docile by stunting his mind. You don’t quite catch all of how it works... but you catch enough to figure out how to make a dummy replica. Now you just need... a distraction.

The ticker tape data stream around the area seems like a good idea. Okay, gotta make this quick. You use your Magic Materialization to give off a steady stream of the ticker tape, inscribing junk data on it as you Clothes Beam up another control bracelet. The alien trips over it in his panic, shouting out “OH NOW WHAT?!” As he takes the brief moment to look over the fake data you’re feeding him, he’s left the bracelet on the floor. “The intruder has been in here... damn her! She’s probably followed me... agh! If she knows about Broly’s secret...”

As quickly and stealthily as you can, you swap the fake control bracelet with the original, and teleport out of there! Just in time, too, as the alien reaches for the control he dropped. You appear right next to Bra, the girl trying to give Broly some short lessons on Ki control. “Calm your mind, and you’ll be able to channel your energy better.”

“Energy...” Broly repeats... an aura briefly appearing around him. An odd, sinister aura.

“M-maybe not like that!” Bra tells him. “Ah, Maple... what’s that?”

Broly notices the bracelet in your hand... and his eyes go wide.

A flash of warning hits you. You react on near instinct as you tackle Broly to the ground, shouting, “GET DOWN!” You both hit the floor right in time for you to save him from a Ki blast. A Ki blast aimed for the crown on his head.

But in your gut reaction, you drop the bracelet. You try to telekinetically pull it back to you... but it’s too late. Towa’s managed to snatch it. “Little Tuffle Girl, you really do continue to impress me. You went out of your way to try and save this monster?”

She holds it out, a purple light shining from it... Broly wincing, letting out a scream of agony. Bra quickly draws her sword. “Leave him alone, Towa!”

“SAMMA VACA!” you shout, lunging at Towa at full power, Bra dashing at Towa with you.

On her own, Towa might be just quick enough to have dodged you. She might be just crafty enough to have left Bra in the dust. But together? She stands no chance against the two of you. Right as she’s about to vanish, you’ve grabbed the bracelet away from her, the purple light disappearing, Broly’s pained screams stopping. And as you grab the bracelet, Bra delivers a powerful roundhouse kick to Towa’s gut, sending her flying.

“Y-you...! Oh, you think you’re so clever?” A vile glow seems to come from her spear.

“SAMMA SATI!” you shout next, stopping your depowering of Towa and protecting Broly from her magic.

Bra bolts at Towa, raising her sword. Towa only barely manages to teleport away as the Super Saiyan’s blade slashes downward. At that moment, you notice something odd. Bra’s Ki... it’s higher than you were expecting, even as a Super Saiyan, even as a Mastered Super Saiyan. But only for a moment, as it returns to normal. There was... something different about that.

You fly down to Broly. “Are... are you okay?”

He shakes his head. “My head... not again...” He looks up at the bracelet in your hand. “That...”

Broly’s mad. And he wants this thing destroyed. And... you sense Paragus and everyone arriving back on the planet.

You teleport away, appearing next to Goku... and catching wind of Vegeta berating Paragus. “YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT WASTE MY GOD DAMNED TIME!”

“My King, please! We will be able to find him soon, we just need some more time!”

“More time? MORE TIME?! You’ve had your time, Paragus!” He turns away. “I am finding Bra and we are leaving this rock.”

“Would you at least allow me to give you one last meal before you leave, my King?” Paragus requests, in full boot-licking mode. Trying to stall, huh?

You cross your arms. “You’re really keeping up this game, huh Paragus? What, are you going to volunteer to be King Vegeta’s personal punching bag until it’s time? Or maybe until it makes you go Super Saiyan too?”

Vegeta’s angry rant halts. “...For once, you seem to be speaking my language, Tuffle. But what do you mean, game?”

All right Maple, truth time for Veggie. “Vegeta, you know Paragus has been playing you. But how far do you think he’s been playing you?”

Vegeta’s aura flares around him as he grabs Paragus by the collar. “You’re going to explain what she means. Now.”

“M-my King, please! You’d trust a Tuffle’s words over a fellow Saiyan’s? She’s trying to decieve you.”

“Nah, Maple’s not a liar.” Goku states aloud. “When she knows something’s up, something’s up.”

“Tch, who can believe a Saiyan she manipulated? A Saiyan she...” Paragus shudders. “Bred with.”

Nappa grunts. “I’ve had a gut feeling against you since the moment you showed up on Earth. I’m willing to hear her out. And I’m sure our King wants to know why you’ve been leading us on wild space goose chases across the stars.”

“Tell him, Paragus. What you did to your son.” your glare sharply at him.

The older Saiyan is quiet. Vegeta lifts him slightly. “Paragus. You have five seconds before you become a red smear across the pavement here.”

Three huge jolts of Ki can be felt. One is familiar... it’s Piccolo. But another... you haven’t felt it in a while, but from what you can guess, that’s Kougeki. The last one, though... that’s not Towa. That’s not Broly either. Goku stands closer to you, defensive. “This guy... I’ve felt something like this before.”

Paragus starts to laugh. “Oh my DEAR King Vegeta. You wish to know the truth? The truth is, I HATED your father. I’ve hated him for years! I’ve hated him for his jealousy towards my son! For how he tried to murder us and cast us aside!” Paragus moves his arm slightly... he has one of those bracelets too.

Paragus smirks. “Your demise. The end of your legacy. And the awakening of the Legendary Super Saiyan. Oh Vegeta, you’ll witness it soon enough. Right as the heavens fall on your head.”

Almost... almost... AHA! ...SHIT TOWA’S TRYING TO GRAB IT TOO! You just barely yank it away from Paragus, Towa’s telekinesis still trying to tug it away from you. “He’s... been using THIS to control the Legendary Super Saiyan!” you shout out, bracing yourself. “His son... Broly!”

‘Bra. There’s a lot of risk in this. But trust me.’

‘Anything’s a risk at this point. Broly’s power is starting to rise on its own.’ she notes.

“Okay, what’s the deal, how are there two of you? And my dad is Master Roshi. Are you some alternate Mira or something?”

“Amusing. But you’re wrong on that point. There aren’t two of me.” Mira states, grip on Broly tightening. An aura starts to surround the Saiyan. “Now, play along, little Tuffle.”

“...Broly has a tail, doesn’t he?” you ask.

Mira is confused by your comment, but slams Broly against the wall once he sees you form a Power Ball. “You think this is a bluff?”

“Nope. LUNAR SIREN!” Your Power Ball changes and emits a beam of powerful light at Bra, boosting her strength even further! You then send out your Spirit Bits and set them around her blade, the Spirit Stinger enhancing her sword’s cutting power, with a shout of “Samma Vayama” to temporarily nullify the exhaustion you’ll feel when you blast off at full power! And last not least, the two of you shout a battle cry, the sparking Raio-Ten aura and blazing Kaio-ken red swirling around you.

Mira attempts to blast Broly into oblivion... but he’s just a moment too late, as Bra’s sword slashes down on his arm, cleaving it right at the elbow. You reach Broly just in time... but to your surprise, you reach him right as he charges a Ki blast of his own, a greenish glow covering the area briefly, focusing into Broly’s palm. Paragus shouts in pain. “This... can’t...” He finally spots you and Broly, at first smiling... but the smile quickly vanishes when Broly starts to slowly walk towards him, crown gone.

“Save some for me, Vegeta.” Broly asks, malice dripping from every word.

The Saiyan Prince looks back at the tall Saiyan. “Oh? So you finally show your... your...”

Vegeta’s noticed it too now, Nappa stepping back in awe. Broly’s phenomenal strength, the green glow of his aura surrounding him. “How many years did you have me under your thumb, dad? How many years did you hold me back? How many years, where my power was stunted?” Broly taps the side of his head. “No more.”

“S-son, please! If you want a target, he is standing right there! The son of the man who tried to murder you! Who betrayed you, tossed you aside!” Paragus pleads, backing up.

Broly rubs his chest. “I... I remember some things.” his eye twitches a bit, but he continues to walk forward. “The thing I remember the most is the pain that dulled my mind. No more. The fog has lifted, and my revenge starts with you, DAD.”

Broly reaches down and grabs Paragus by the neck... his hair standing on end. His power skyrockets, above even Vegeta’s, as Broly transforms into a Super Saiyan. Paragus goes limp in his son’s grasp. “...S-so close... ten more minutes...”

Nappa gives Vegeta a mildly surprised look. The Saiyan prince merely watches. Ah, but you don’t have time for this... “Vegeta, Nappa, listen, we don’t have time! We need to get off this planet before it’s destroyed!”

Nappa grunts. “Right... Vegeta?”

“...Let me watch this.” he requests. There’s... a glimmer of genuine intrigue in his eyes.

Agh... well, okay! ‘Bra, Goku! Everyone, we’re getting out of here! If you spot the Shamoians, tell them to come here quick!’

‘Mira is tailing me!’ Bra responds.

‘And us! Jeeze, this guy is tough! I’ll find the Shamoian guys, Raditz’ll back up Piccolo!’

Broly’s beating of Paragus keeps going, a manic laugh echoing across the barren lands. You finally notice some of Paragus’ soldiers around the area... what’s left of them. Vegeta’s work, probably...

“Isn’t it magnificent?” a taunting voice asks the three of you. You turn around and notice... Towa and Mira.

Towa laughs haughtily. “Come now, little Tuffle girl, are you really one to be asking such questions after all you did to try and ‘save’ Broly?” She smirks and turns her gaze back to Paragus’ beatdown. “And that’s not even his full power.”

But that distraction delayed her, and you’ve already locked on to the Shamoians, with Goku showing up behind you... and there’s a look of worry on his face. “Maple, I can feel Broly’s power... what’s really going on?”

“The monster is back...” one of the Shamoians states, shivering. “The monster who ruined our world... I can feel it... we... we can’t...”

Goku... seems just a little upset, but nods. “Okay, Maple. Stay safe.”

“I’ll see you soon.” You lock on to Piccolo’s Ki next and teleport to him, appearing behind the Namekian as his fist rams into Kougeki’s.

“Tch, what took you so long?!” he growls out, Raditz barely dodging a blast from Mira.

The three of you arrive with Bra, Vegeta, and Nappa, the Saiyans transformed and standing their ground. Broly starts to approach slowly, dragging Paragus by his cape, the man barely alive. “So... you think YOU can control me too?!” Broly roars at Towa.

“Legendary Super Saiyan, it is not control I want out of you. I want you to become stronger. I want to see your full potential.” Towa tells him in a sly, devious tone, the three Miras flanking her as Kougeki and Piccolo face each other.

Broly tosses Paragus at Vegeta’s feet. “Do with him what you want. I have my next victims in my sights.”

You notice a bright spot in the sky... and it’s getting brighter. “Everyone, cover your eyes!” you shout out, jumping up. “SOLAR FLARE!”

“Such simple tricks.” the Miras say in unison, covering themselves. You quickly Clothes Beam a pair of sunglasses onto Broly to protect him from the glare, and then, while you’re at it, reveal your real distraction technique: you cover Towa, Kougeki, and the three Miras’ heads with t-shirts... t-shirts each with Broly’s name on them, followed by “THE LEGEND” in big, bold font.

“Everyone, grab on!” you shout, your allies getting close to you, Vegeta looking down at the dying Paragus and mumbling “Pitiful” under his breath. “Broly, you too! You can have your revenge later! Come on, before the comet-!”

Broly tosses the sunglasses aside... a green glow covering the area, focusing into his palm. He flings a Ki blast at Towa, one of the Miras just barely protecting her in time. “No. I am not done yet. I will make them SUFFER!”

Another figure appears behind him, Broly just barely dodging, backing up to your group.

You could place your hand on him and teleport away. Bra gives you a worried look.
