“But looks like he’s with Towa now.” Goku adds. “Eh, just one more thing to prepare for!”

“Tried our best. We weren’t able to prevent it, though.” Bra sighs out softly. “But Goku is right. We can’t just give up so easily.”

Pantea gives Bra a concerned look, then grabs her by her jacket’s sleeve. “Come on.”

“W-wha? Where are-?”

“Sis, just trust me on this.” Pantea states, hurrying Bra off with her.

Peppa focuses on you and Goku. “How strong was he?”

“Stronger than me...” you admit. “Probably stronger than any of us. And he wasn’t exactly the nicest Saiyan...”

“Was he mean like Vegeta?” Peppa asks.

You briefly recall Broly getting his “revenge” on Paragus and leaving him for dead. “...Ah, well... Vegeta might be a bit nicer than he is.”

Peppa gives a determined declaration of, “Then I’m gonna get even stronger than him!”

Gohan looks at his sister, then at Goku, who has a slightly proud grin across his face. “Eheh, I’m sure you will, kiddo.”

Ah, why not? You Clothes Beam her a new outfit. Heh, maybe Gohan does have a point, she pulls the look off pretty well. “There you go kiddo. Heh, maybe some day you’ll be a Turtle School Master like your dad and I.” you comment, tugging at your own outfit.

“I’ll get really strong, I promise! Stronger than that Broly guy!” she declares again, almost giddy with the prospect.

You give her a pat on the head. “Say, is Bulma still busy with 19?”

“She’s back in her lab again, yeah.” Gohan tells you. “Yamcha’s been keeping watch over her.”

“Well, then she’s at least not pulling another ‘couple days without sleep’ again.” you comment aloud.

“I’m gonna catch up with Yamcha.” Goku tells you. “Wanna see if he has a plan.”

“All right monkey boy.”

Well, what to do... you could go with, and Bra might just want some alone time... maybe you can just spend some time with the kids?

“Yeah, were trying to help Baragon. What’re they-” The stand comes into view. Well, it’s less a stand this time and more a lemonade shack. Lemonade AND melonade, according to their sign. And there’s Puar enjoying one of the melonades. The floating cat waves at you as the camels prep another glass, Curly acknowledging you, then nodding to Moe.

“I’ll have one too!” Peppa states, excitedly sipping down down the melonade as you take a sip of yours. It’s... really sweet, but different from a regular lemonade. And really, really good.

“Heh, what, no marshmallows to go with?” you ask in a faux complaining voice. Curly snorts at you. “Kidding, kidding! But okay, I’ll bite... what’s this really for? ...It’s not jawbreakers again, is it? Those are bad for your teeth.”

“...Mom, sis, this is just a little weird.” Gohan comments.

“Try one!” Peppa states enthusiastically.

Moe grunts a reply to you, and you read his mind to figure out what it... ahhhh. “You’re doing this for people worrying about Ozotto’s Tournament. And this is just a testing ground?” Moe nods. So that’s why they’re only 10 Zenni.

You hear a small buzz in the distance. Capsule Corp’s doorbell? Huh.

“Mmn. Nothing yet.” Mateh stated bluntly. “Let us get straight to the point then: have Gohan and Peppa talked about their grades with you two at all?”

“Er, nothing more than their report cards.” you admit. “They looked like they were doing fine though.”

“Far more than fine.” he adds. “They’re reading, writing, learning at a level far above any of their peers. Gohan especially shows great intelligence.”

“Mmn. Peppa’s perhaps around Grade 3, while Gohan’s at Grade 4. Comparable to children about twice their age. Gohan excels more at mathematics and reading, though Peppa’s problem solving skills show great promise already.” Caffe explains. “We had similar talks with Mrs. Bulma and Mr. Yamcha about their daughter.”

“What about their cousin, Izumi? If you won’t mind divulging some details to her relatives, that is...”

“We plan to meet with Mr. Acer and Mrs. Chi-chi after our meeting here. But we can say she is in a similar situation.”

“I could contact him to help you with that, if you’d like.” you state.

“It would be of great help, thank you.” Gaurana says sweetly, taking a sip of her lemonade, mumbling under her breath “...wow, this is really good.”

“So... are you here to propose they skip a few grades or something?” Well... there’s an idea.

“Something of the sort. Laws currently prevent us mixing them in with children twice their age, no matter their development level. At the same time though, there are not enough children close to their age to justify a special class designed for them.” Mateh tells you, catching sight of Peppa hiding in a bush.

“So... what are you proposing?” you ask, finishing your melonade.

“We have some options. Developmentally, it may be in their best interests to interact with children close to their age, but they would easily outdo any peers in matters of education. A solution we’ve come up with is assigning them special tutors during class time so they may be properly challenged and educated. But, this is something that requires parental approval...”

You wince slightly as your mind recalls Broly’s damaged psyche. Mental wounds can heal, but they can also leave some deep scars. “R-right... regardless, what do you think, Goku? Is their offer acceptable?”

Goku looks back at Gohan. “...You’ve been listening in, haven’t you, son? What do you say?”

“...Will we still get to see our friends?” Gohan asks shyly.

“While not taking the same classes, you will still be among them.” Gaurana tells him sweetly, finishing her lemonade. She momentarily sneaks away and gives the camels 10 Zenni for another glass before quickly returning.

Goku looks to Peppa next, poking her arm out of the bush with her thumb up. “Eheh, seems like they’re fine with it.”

“Then this sounds acceptable.” you tell the three. “Are there any forms we have to fill out?”

“The paperwork will be ready within a week.” Caffe states.

“Plenty of time to stop that Ozotto guy then.” Goku summizes, standing up and stretching.

“Okay, so that’s not gonna work, but how aboooout... this one?” Pantea asks, Clothes Beaming up a red skirt and... that’s a TINY top. It’d barely even cover her chest, leaving her stomach bare. And... are those thigh-high boots? And what’s with those gloves? Gods, that skirt is tiny, too.

“...A little too revealing.” Bra mumbles out, slightly embarrassed. “I like the red, but...”

“I getcha, I getcha, want to be a bit more modest.” She states, tossing the clothes aside. “Whaaaat about... this?”

A bit more modest. Red tanktop, black pants and gloves. Though on Bra, that’d still bare her midriff. Pantea tosses out a few more ideas, including some Saiyan Armor, and a black variant, and a neat Capsule Corp variant of it.

You magic up a few items of clothing yourself. There’s some poofy purple pants, a tube top, a red shirt, a longer red skirt, spats, armored boots and bracelets, and a few other things. Bra takes a look at the tubetop first. “...A little too small, don’t you think?”

“As long as you’re old enough to flaunt it, I won’t judge.” you state confidently.

“Th-thanks?” she responds, not really sure how to take that statement, looking down at her chest for a moment. “Not... really my thing though.”

“Ooh, that red shirt looks good though.” Pantea comments. “Maybe make a few adjustments...”

You both work on a few things, coming up with three outfits Bra might be okay with. First is a red one with the armored gauntlets and boots, but leggings instead of spats, and a bit more modest. Second is closer to that one girl’s shirt, but with a blue undershirt to go with it. Heh, reminds you of the old orange and blue. The last is the purple pants and a shirt, but with a black jacket to go over it.

“Say, you still thinking on visiting Melchior?” you ask, presenting Bra with the three outfits.

“I do intend to. I’ll probably have to talk with Buula soon. Ah... sorry for being such a bother for all of this.” she states, lowering her head. She’s having a bit of trouble deciding on the outfit. Seems her mind’s still elsewhere.

Bra and Pantea both start to laugh. “Hah, m-maybe not... heh, feels strange, some of my coworkers have to try pretty hard to get these, but you’re just handing them out.”

“Your choice, sis.” Pantea tells Bra.

“I... think I’ll go for the red one.” she states.

“If you’ve still got some walls to overcome, Lord Konpei could help you push past them.” you comment.

Bra looks at you humbly. “Maybe...”

“Sis, listen... I know you’ve been through a lot. But I also know you can push past this. You might have those Saiyan powers, but more than that, you’ve got that Briefs determination in ya’.” the purple haired girl states, giving Bra a soft jab in the arm. “You’ll push past this.”

Bra gives Pantea a quick hug. “Thank you.”

Raditz and Piccolo's training will hopefully get some good rolls. Hoping Piccolo doubles his already impressive power level. Raditz getting to at least full power ssj would be good.

Can we group with everyone that's to go in the htc next on our trip to Melchior and Konpei? Perhaps together we can figure stuff out that can be carried over in everyone's year of training.

Specifically anything anti-Ozotto would be ideal.

Following Acer and Chi-chi’s talks over Izzy’s education, you head off with them and Goku to meet Ozotto in person, traveling to Mei Queen Castle... with a couple interesting guests already there. You touch down on what seems to be a deserted beach resort, Mark and Videl waving to you. “Heh, guess you had the same idea.”

“You here to check on Ozotto too?” Goku asks.

“Something like that. Jaguar’s always been a punk, but he got himself in some really hot water this time.”

“Waaaait, you know this Lord Jaguar guy?”

“Eh, so-so.” Mark replies, waving his hand a bit. “We’ve never really gotten along. Little guy’s a piece of work though, kept flaunting his wealth and talking down to people. I don’t think he liked you guys all that much either. Remember he called you... what was it...? Ah, right, ‘Plebian scum whose five minutes of fame have been stretched out for far too long.’”

“...I take it he didn’t have many friends.” Acer adds dryly.

“Only the ones money would buy.”

You start to walk towards the castle with everyone. “Huh, what else do you know about him? This guy got like... a criminal record or something?”

“Not that I’m aware of, but I’ve always suspected.” he says with a grunt.

“Well, we did find some stuff on him back in Wheelo’s lab. Shady things.” you add. “Ozotto’s revival was his idea after all. But this whole... thing...” you wave around at the castle. “Where on Earth did he get all this?”

“Inheritence. Lord Jaguar Badda, his proper name and title. He’s royalty.”

“Wait, so he’s more like Pilaf?” Acer questions.

Chi-chi rubs her chin. “That might explain why he’s got some kind of Tournament thing set up...”

“So is the castle named because he’s a big fan of the band, or is the castle’s name as old as his line?” you ask next, spotting a small port town near the resort.

“‘Mei Queen Castle has been past through my family line for generations, a plebian like yourself would never understand its importance.’ is what I recall him saying. Constantly.” Mark responds, quoting the man in a really, really annoying voice.

“Old castle... ah, so that might explain how he learned about Ozotto.” Acer realizes. “Remember Lucifer’s castle? He might even have some things on magic in there...”

“Doubt it. He didn’t much care for hokus pokus stuff. But... if there’s Ozotto, then maybe...”

“Either way, he’s under Ozotto’s thumb now.” Videl states. “He’s the reason the world’s in danger. And looks like he’s paying for that.”

You reach the castle proper, greeted by... a large, blue, muscle-bound man. A man not wearing any clothing. And lacking genitals. And with a REALLY creepy smile. Mark quickly hides Videl’s face as the blue man tilts his head, telling you all, “Festivites will not begin for another few days. Please state your business.”

“Tell your boss that Hercule’s here. Mark Satan and company want to speak with him. And put some pants on!”

The blue man turns around and enters the building through automatic door, returning a moment later. “Lord Jaguar will greet you in reception momentarily. Step inside.”

“Please put some pants on.” Mark repeats, the request ignored again as you head in. A more normal woman looks up from her desk, the face of a lady who hasn’t slept in a week and is only awake at this time thanks to a swimming pool’s worth of coffee.

“Maaaark. Loooong time... no see... ha ha...”

“Not until he puts some pants on.” the large man repeats, Videl lowering her head in embarrassment.

You giggle a little at that, then breathe out “Samma Kammanta” to the woman, giving her a bit of her stamina back as you place your hand on her head, healing her a bit. “Looks like Ozotto’s not been letting anyone rest while he’s here... guys, guard your minds as best you can.”

“R-rest... heh. I don’t need that. I’m perfectly fine.” the woman tells you, recovered but mentally still drained.

“...you sure about that? I mean, you could take a nap or something...” Chi-chi comments.

“Sleep is where the nightmares are.” she says cryptically, smiling. “I’m perfectly happy staying awake.”

Acer takes a step away from her. “Sis has the right idea.”

Eventually an elevator opens up, out stepping a tall, thin man in a green suit... with a small man with a long, braided ponytail behind him. Really small. He’s... he’s shorter than you.

“Jaguar.” Mark grunts out.

“Satan.” the short man retorts.

“...I was picturing someone a bit bigger.” Chi-chi comments quietly, getting a dirty look from her husband. “...Sorry. Didn’t mean it like that.”

“Jaguar, just what have you been doing here?” Mark asks the small man.

“Watching my life discombobulate before my eyes.” he retorts in a mumbling tone.

“He means disappear.” the man in the green suit says.

“Ooooh!” Jaguar shouts out, stomping his feet. “THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!” he roars, pointing at... you?

“The world is not yours.” the man in the green suit grunts out bluntly. “Lord Jaguar was going to make sure you knew of it. But...”

And then Jaguar... falls to his knees, slamming his fists against the floor. “I was supposed to have him under control...”

Ah. Ahhh. You start to see what he’s going for. “...It’s partially my fault for him returning. If I just... didn’t bring that bucket to the Lookout, Blue and Green and the demon in it... Ozotto wouldn’t have gained his strength back” you admit. “I messed up with the Aquma. But I’m working to make things right.” You then look to Goku. “...Plus, you know, he’s kinda after my husband for that fight against the dark... whatever it was.”

“Eheh, guess so.” Goku laughs, rubbing the back of his neck.

‘How touching.’ Ozotto’s voice echoes in your mind. ‘But keep your heroic speeches for the Tournament. I like hearing those, makes a hero’s fall all the more fun.’

“How?” Acer asks.

‘Earthlings have many, many insecurities. Fears. Things that bring them terror. Things they hide, things they bottle up. Any slacking in ensuring this... spectacle will not be up to my standards, and I remind them of every single one of those things.’ the Super Monster’s echoing voice lets you all know. ‘Well, that and a few... personal indulgences.’

“Mind if we at least see the ring?” you ask both Ozotto and Lord Jaguar.

“Feh. I should be cursing your name until I can’t breathe no more! ...But it’d be pointless. This way.”

‘I’m standing in the middle of it. It has a very nice look to it, decent amount of progress, for Earthlings.’ Ozotto chuckles again. ‘Come and see, girl. You were the one who suggested it, after all.’

“Ozotto... what are you planning now? You’ve been awfully quiet for these last few days...”

‘Well, I didn’t catch enough of the Legendary Super Saiyan before you took him away. Much too bad. But I liked what I saw.’ he adds, stopping you all in your tracks as Jaguar tries to lead you to the ring.

‘...He isn’t too fond of demons at this point, I’d imagine.’ you respond telepathically to the Majin.

‘I take it the Princess has her plans. Very amusing.’ he responds confidently.

‘Plans that could be in conflict with your own.’

While you can’t see it, you know he has the smuggest grin on his face as he retorts, ‘I’d welcome the challenge, if the little Princess thinks she can really match my skills.’

You arrive at the ring, and there floats Ozotto in the center of it. Well... it’s different from the World Martial Arts Tournament ring. Actually circular, no real boundaries to it... almost seems like it blends in with the stands. That’s... probably intentional. You and Goku march towards Ozotto. “So we finally meet face to face.” Goku says.

Ozotto... then shapeshifts into Goku, mimicking his voice almost perfectly. “Indeed. Getting pretty excited, aren’t you?”

Goku tilts his head. “...Do I really sound like that?”

The Super Monster changes back. “I appreciate the warning, but I assure you, I will need no help in disposing of Towa should she challenge me. Ah, speaking of, the boy is probably starting on his mission to those ruins. I apologize for having to leave so soon. Do you have anything to say?”

“Just this: I’m gonna deck you in the schnozz. I know what you’ve been up to, Ozotto, but I also know just how much more dangerous Towa is. We will stop you. But I know we’d do better fighting against Towa. Together.”

The Majin is surprised by what you have to say. And he merely smiles. “You’re very naive, Earthling. But I will admit that it’s a little endearing.” An aura glows around him as he adds, voice full of malice, “I’ll make your death the quickest and most painless.”

Lord Jaguar falls to the ground, the man in the green suit rushing to his side. “Lord Jaguar! Cousin! Come no!”

Videl takes a step away from them. “D-did you...?”

“But I am also a fair being. I uphold my end of bargains. You have only come to talk with me, not to break our agreement. The man is alive. For now.” Ozotto chuckles out. “What’s more, I have been... intrigued by your progress. When I was sealed, few mortals could even come close to the power of even the lower demons. But you all have gone far above the standards of most mortals.” A menacing grin comes across his face as he floats into the air. “I am going to see just how far I can ascend.”

“Hrmn... what was it, seven thousand years ago now? A being named Mijorin fought off an army of demons, I believe. Or were they just guided by one of us? Ah it’s been so long.”

Okay, there! He’s... at Baba’s palace, right. Well, Beelzebub knows now. “Any more? Any still alive?”

“Hah, I would be impressed if there are. Highly doubtful given the short lives you live. But that makes the progress you and all your little friends have made all the more impressive to me. More reason for me to see what my limits are.”

Ozotto flies off. Hopefully, Beelzebub will be able to get there in time. Acer smiles at you. “Glad you caught on to that.”

“Heh, smart thinking, brobro.”

“Why do I feel like I heard that name before? Olibu...” Goku wonders.

“What, you don’t remember? That guy’s a legend... literally!” Mark states. “Old mythic hero, Videl used to have me read storybooks about him.”
