"Well you could go to school with Juniper for a while" I say softly, leaning close to her over the back of my bed, as she glances up at me her eyes still red with all the tears she's shed "try to learn a bit about the world and our way of life, might help you a bit"

"But school is boring except for lunch, there's not much to do besides sit around and listen" Juniper grumbles, crossing her arms as she stuffs her book back into her bag "PE isn't even challenging its just...I don't know, but its boring having to sit around for that long"

"Well they aren't like chaos monsters, and they may be scarier looking but they are just....different people, as odd as that is" Holiday says, sitting by Lyra's head as she tries to ignore Juniper's claws on her shoulders as the big wolf girl tries to shake her into responding to her.

"Look if you're so scared maybe I could show you the world isn't as bad as you think, I mean I used to be just as scared as you are about it" I say, gently putting my hand on her shoulder as Juniper gets bored and backs off of her "So maybe I could help you adjust? and if I can't, I can at least make you feel safe right?"

"....I don't know, I just don't know what to do, nothing is the same anymore and everything I knew is gone and replaced with....stuff that scares me, people that terrify me, beside holiday you're the only thing that at least looks normal to me" She says, her voice barely rising above a whimper "everything is quiet, much quieter than I'm used to its...its just..I can't figure out what to do, I'm scared, I wanna go home but I can't"

"Well...maybe you can find your home again?" I say, rubbing her back as she starts to cry again trying to calm her down the same way I did my younger siblings "What was your life like anyways?"

"Normal, you wouldn't understand it, I went to school, had a summer job, a crush, normal girl things, I went shopping, I had hobbies that were a little strange, my family loved me even though we didn't get along perfectly. things made sense, it was normal, it was....it was all I could ask for besides no one listening to my plans when we were working as magical girls" She says, angrily growling out the last few words "But even if they never listened to me, I knew them, I knew who they were they were my friends and...we lost and I ended up in this world, my family probably gone and the only normal girl I've seen is....well you just seem to treat all this like its so....MUNDANE"

I could see this eating up Mali. Not the fact that she should have been the main girl, nor having overpowering magic early in the game, nor at this point, having to be tortured and dammed to hell, but the fact that she get's to be a tasty cake.

Cake vs Pie. A sisterly feud begins again.

So I decide that she needs someone else hugging her, just wallowing in her sadness by herself won't help anything besides her grief to grow. That look on her face is so familiar, I've seen it so many times before back home. That sounds of crying and the shimmering of tears in the dim light. There's only one cure for sadness like this that I know to work most of the time.

She freezes up, going stiff as I pull her into my arms, smiling as she lays her head onto my shoulder letting herself cry again, biting her lip to stop herself from making any noise as Holi floats beside us.

"There, there, just let it all out, its like poison you know" I say softly as I hug her tightly as she swallows her sobs and shakes as she sits in my arms.

"I'm sure we'll be able to get through this together just...I know it must seem hopeless right now but I am sure...I am sure that we'll find a way to help you, Lyra" Holi says as Lyra wiggles out of my arms, blushing

"Hmm?" I ask without a word, tilting my head as she pouts

"Why are you being so nice to me? After all I did and said when I was crazy and how I've acted around your friend?" She asks as I grind kindly and chuckle

"Because, that wasn't you and you're just scared, I don't like seeing people scared or hurt like you are" I say happily as I stand back up from the bed "I've been around it too much in my life already to just tolerate it now, so I'm going to cheer you up, no matter what I have to do"

"Even though your sister is missing and monsters are running wild...I mean chaos monsters are" She says softly as I smile and nod "You're...you're still trying to help me first"

"Its only the right thing to do, and you need help I think" I say as I start digging through the groceries that came with this expanded and fancied up room "So what kind of cake do you want? I don't think anyone can stay as sad as you are with a little cake inside of them"

"Uh...uh?" She says stammering as I turn back to her with a smirk, holding out a mixing spoon towards her "Chocolate?"

"Alright! see, even you're starting to smile a bit" I say, stepping to the cleared counter with a spring in my step now, acting a little silly now.

Lyra doesn't say a word as we walk down the side walk, and she pauses to watch a pack of girls, half of which are monsters chattering outside of clothes store.

I smile as she tilts head and smirks as she watches the girl who looks like she's turning into a tree pull her coat down to cover up her bark, and the girl with teeth like some fish from the deep of the sea cackle, her scaly and pale almost see through skin shining under the light as her black eyes wince and she covers them with a pair of glasses

"Okay that's a little...weird" Lyra says as she stars to walk along "haaa!"

"Sorry" A naga woman with burning yellow eyes and long fangs says, her jaw stretching a bit as she smiles and picks up her son, who flicks his tongue out and keeps it out as Lyra looks at his scale covered face "Little ones are so hard to keep track off, sorry if he scared you"

"Huh?" Lyra says, back away as she slithers away

I smile a bit wider as she she laughs a little less nervously now and turns to me to see where we're going next, looking lost and awkward again

"Fried goods! Donuts, and other sweets, special flavors today are cream cheese bites and Raspberry tarts, come one come all, they're still steaming and fressssh" A man like monster says, wearing a coat like Holi except much bigger, his glowing white eyes hidden behind his hat and his patchwork skin hidden under his clothes and scarf

Lyra frowns, not saying a thing as she stands in the middle of the street, watching the city live for a minute or two. Seeing two boys chasing down a feathered monster without a beak, which yelps as they try to pull a colorful feather or two out, or the two girls trying to be sweet with a napping ogre in a fine suit.

Ergh, this place is like something from a lovecraftian story. The walls are covered with scratches, some kind of old oil that has hardened into an amber like grime and a strange red moss. Not to mention the roots that are growing through the stone like so many massive grasping apendages that want to pull me down into the earth or make me trip over them.

And the cold feeling running down my hands like the cold, clawed hands of a corpse suddenly becomes a biting frost as I imagine a younger version of Carol surrounded by pale, starved faces cackling as she squirms in the back of a cell, tied to the wall with chains and wrapped in ropes so she can't struggle or escape. Panic fills my veins and mind as I step back and gasp, as my mind fills with terrible possibilities and thoughts before it settles on one that turns to biting cold into a burning inferno on my heart and mind.

"OR THEY TURN THEM INTO VAMPIRES!" I shriek, flying up into the air my coat wrapped around me as my eyes glowing under the darkness of my hats as Lyra takes a step back, the horror already clear on her face deepening and become even more apparent.

A very young bunny girl trying her luck in the big city. She loves all things fluffy.

Good luck, she has such a good luck it helps her get anything she needs.

Naive, she is so naive is only her luck that has keep her alive.

A former Magical Girl and now a Magical Girl companion. She acts way younger than her real age and loves books.

Bookworm, she is very good at reading and using books of all kinds. She also easily remembers anything she reads.

Childish, she basically acts like she was a ten year old girl.

Juniper

A former wolf and now a wolf girl. She has trouble to ignore her animal instincts and basically acts like a dog sometimes without realising it. She wants to learn things and act less feral but she tends to get distracted easily due to her instincts.

Trait:

Tracker, she is better at tracking than when she was just a wolf. In Magical Girl form she can even track chaos monsters.

Drawback:

My Animal instints are showing, she tends to act a lot like a dog or a wolf.

As to Loyal, I don't really think she left it to join the city. All info suggests that the packs are there still. She lives in the wild forrest town Mali made. Stands to reason pack is still there.
