1) she was hit by one of Scorponok's missiles in beast mode
2) When Tarantulas hit her with his attack cyber venom it causes paralysis and system shutdowns. Being a flier she basically a plane crashing,
3) As for terrain, its rocky and uneven, but not overly sharp/jagged. Still if there's a crit fail, it'll cause her to go into stasis lock meaning she'll be out of action for awhile. Provided you can get her back to the Maximal base

Choosing to listen to Optimus order, you leap and charge back towards Airazor. Whatever the sneaky spider hit her with is preventing her from doing anything to escape her fall.

“Warpath, transform” with a wild roar, you transform and leap towards her. Even with your speed, you’re questioning whether you can reach her in time. But that’s not going to stop you from making the effort. You lunge toward where she’s gonna hit the ground; this one’s going to be close

You manage to reach where she is and keep her from hitting the ground, but it was less of a catch and more of her landing on top of you. You’re grateful she’s a smaller bot or that might have damaged you, still her momentum knocks you both to the ground.

Tarantulas cackles, “Stupid Maximals, shouldn’t turn your back on a spider.” He uses his spider leg guns opening fire on you and Airazor.

His shots are unfocused; probably from his mocking laughter. You manage to roll yourself and Airazor out of the harm’s way.

“Predacons gloat too much,” Optimus fires his shotgun arm at the spider.

Optimus shot is slow, and the spider has no problem dodging out of the way. He manages to take cover of the rocks he ambushed you from. He continues to laugh.

“Optimus, don’t worry I’ve got something just for you too.”

You can’t see the spider at the moment, but know where he’s hiding. Optimus is still in cover behind the pod, but from what it looks like he’s got two missile launchers on his shoulders and judging from his stance from your sparring match earlier it looks like he’s gonna take to the skies. Airazor is barely conscious, only a soft moan creeps past her painful expression. There are several swirling purple energy waves moving around her robot form and that weird missile/dart is still stuck on her.

You reach down towards the dart and pull it from her superstructure. It comes out with relative easy. Airazor groans a bit, but still looking rough.

“You should return to beast mode, repair yourself.”

“Ugh…yea. Beast…mode…” You give her a bit of room as she returns to her falcon form. She looks back up towards you still lying against the ground. “Thanks for helping me.”

You simply nod as you look over towards where Tarantulas was at, trying to determine your next move.

“Have to admit I’m a bit surprised, I wasn’t sure if you’d try. You seemed more likely to keep fighting than rescue someone. Maybe I have you pegged wrong.”

You’re not quite sure how to respond to that. Not that you really have time. Battle is still raging; talking can wait.
“Optimus, flighty mode.” Optimus takes off for the skies and fires off two missiles at the spider’s cover.

The first missile goes hitting far behind the spider’s cover while the second missile hits against the cover, doing minor damage. It’s still effective mostly.

Tarantulas pops out of his cover and returns fire with another odd projectile.

The missile casing breaks apart in midair exposing an energon web net that catches Optimus.

Optimus struggles against the webbing entangling him as it appears to be draining his own energon power. Tarantulas loads up another projectile into his weapon launcher.

“So long Optimus MINIMAL” He starts to cackle again as he aims for his shot. That laugh is really beginning to grate your servos.

Tarantulas aims at the Maximal Leader, when his attention is suddenly drawn towards you. He vaguely remembers the amount of damage you did to Scorponok which causes his claw to twitch, letting the missile loose.

“Oh no!” He ducks back behind his rock, preparing his next shot.

Gripping your Halberd you swing with intense savagery. Your strike smashes through the rocky cover as he cries out, stumbling back. You look past the debris to see you’ve almost cleaved through his right arm and atleast two of the spider legs have been broken off. You start to stalk your prey.

Tarantulas missile barely manages to hit its mark as Optimus attempts a controlled landing. He’s still struggling to get the webs off, but he’s starting to look worse for wear. Airazor is still out of it that she can only look on, helplessly.

“Warpath, leave him. We need to withdraw.” You can barely hear Optimus call out as you stalk the spider. “We’re not too far from Maximal territory. We can call for help.”

“Tarantulus to Predacons! Back to base! Waspinator, Terrorsaur, get your useless sparks over hear and cover us!” Tarantulus says as he’s trying to crawl away from your terrifying form.

Let's take one final swing at Tarantulas to try and kill the bastard before he can withdraw. The Predacons have ordered a retreat, after all; the field is ours!

But, success or fail on this last attempt to convert a downed spider to a scrapped one, we then join Optimus in getting out of there.

You smirk as the spider is trying to run. Cowards; hardly worth the effort to chase when you can lay out the welcome mat for new opponents? You back step towards Optimus once you’re sure the spider is out of range. Using the fangs on your powerfist you help cut off the web from Optimus.

“Thanks.” He immediately returns to beast mode, with a bit of a groan. “We need to get Airazor to a CR chamber as well as myself.” He walks the stasis pod over towards Airazor. She seems a bit apprehensive about getting in.

“Not my first choice but it’ll have to do.” She says weakly. You’re a bit surprised her beast form hasn’t repaired her more. Maybe it has to do with what that spider hit her with.

“You guys go on ahead. I’ll hold them off.” You say. They both give you a look like your crazy.

“Warparth, this is insane. We need to get moving.” That almost sounded like an order.

“Both of you are battered up. They’ll catch up to us.” You snarl.

It’s a tense few moments, but finally Optimus replies.

“Warpath, I’m not going to let you stay out here by yourself against a squad of Predacons.” He just shakes his head with a sigh; he knows your minds made up. “Not alone atleast. As soon as I’m with in com range, I’m sending you back up.”

Optimus looks back at you. You get the idea he’s in thought maybe wanting to say something but shakes it off. “Just be careful out here. While I know you’re capable and chose otherwise, your actions speak for themselves. I still consider you to be a Maximal.”

“You gonna sit around here and rust or you two gonna get going already?”

Optimus smirks. “Fight well, Warpath.” He starts moving the stasis pod the way you guys were heading. Airazor just looks back at you, concerned but says nothing. You just nod to her as they head off.

You stand their silently for a moment scanning surveying your surroundings.

TACTICAL UPDATE Current Energon Levels at 25%

At the moment you’re fine. You avoided most damage in the last fight but you’ve gotten a bit of energon built up.
You can remain in robot mode but depending on how long the wait and fight drag out, you may end up building a lot of energon radiation.
Switching to Beast mode will lower it but your form isn’t meant for fighting aerial combatants, meaning you could be a sitting duck.

And then there’s the terrain.
You look around the area. Not much in the way of cover. Some hilly areas would be able to conceal you from ground forces like the scorpion did to you, but you recall hearing him call for Terrorsaur and Waspinator. Fliers from what Optimus tells you. They’ll have most of the advantage. You need to find some where that’ll aid you in the fight to come.

You quickly transform to lower your energon levels. After thinking about your beast form and what the Maximals told you about the area. Yes, the forest will be better for your form and the trees will lower their maneuverability. Just need to get there before the Predacons show up. Can’t ambush an enemy if they ambush you first.

You go into a full sprint. You enjoy this creature’s combination of speed and power. As you are moving your keen senses hear something in the distance.

“My scanners pick up something this way” He starts to circle around you “Tarantulas didn’t specify what it was were looking for. Of course we can always just shoot it for fun? See if the its cat or bot. Terrorsaur, TERRORIZE”

Terrorsaur transforms and pulls out a small hand blaster. “What do you say kitty? Do you have nine lives?” he starts laughing.

With Terrorsaur drawing his blaster, you immediately take off towards the woods.

“Waspinator, Terrorize!” Both of the Predacons chase after you and you keep trying to evade their shots. For the most part they can’t hit the side of battle cruiser. But the red lizard hits you square on the back.

“Hahahaha” Terrorsaur laughs. “Got’em!” They do a fly by as they shot. You try shaking off the hit. Laugh it up. I’ll shove that blaster straight in your exhaust.

The three of you resume the chase; a few pot shots detonate around you, getting a bit roughed up. But now you’re at the tree line. You push your beast mode’s speed as fast as you can.

You leap at one of the trees using your claws to dig in the bark and swing around, sling shot style, and launch yourself at Terrorsaur. He only has enough time to react with a screech as you pounce him downward.

Waspinator breaks left surprised by this act as well, “Lizard bot ok? Waspinator slag dumb cat.”

Terrorsaur panics under you. He’s trying to get his shoulder mounted guns to spin around to shoot you off.

You start slashing Terrorsaur, you smash one of his cannons and start tearing his armor. He deals fires off a blast from his remaining cannon back at you. It deals a bit of damage but you continue your assault.

You have a clean shot to grab at his throat with your colossal canines to tear his head completely clear. “Wasp-waspinator! Get ME OUT OF HERE!” Terrosaur cries out.

Waspinator looks around panicked. His attack hurt you but you don’t seem overly damaged. In fact you looked enraged. You snarl with some of Terrorsaurs wires still hanging out of your mouth.

Funny, they still haven’t fully realized that you’re not just some jungle cat.

“MMmmmm Terrorsaur, nearly scrap by big cat! Waspinator getting out of here!” with that he transforms and takes off.

“N-n-no! NOOOO!” Terrorsaur can barely crawl as his circuity sparks. “N-nice kitty, nice kitty.”

You turn back to look at him, unconcerned by his fleeing opponent. Seems that Predacons for all their bravado, run better than they fight. Still they did manage to do some damage.

You pad over to him and look him straight in the eye, large paw in on his damaged chest.

“My name…is Warpath.” You lunge with a mouth full of fangs.

You sit there on the forest floor, knocking his red and white head back and forth between your paws.

He should be fine as long as he gets put back together. This isn't the first time he's lost his head.

Hell, the only time he died in the show was falling into lava, and even then that was only because of marketing decision and while he was sinking he was being reformatted into a transmetal as a backdoor to bring him back if the writers needed to.

You slowly start to get up and stretch. As you yawn, you spit out some of Terrorsaur’s circuity that got stuck in your teeth. Not the most appetizing sensation. As you are beginning to walk towards the direction you think the Maximal’s base is you stop for a moment. Why not take a trophy?

You start looking over the heap that was Terrorsaur for a proper trophy. No one wants to see that ugly mug each day, so you bat the head away. His blaster is a bit on the dainty side, not a suitable firearm for a commando like you. But you know what would be amusing? Taking his T-cog. It’s not like there’s a spare parts depot anywhere. That you know of atleast. So why not?

So you start off kind of rough. Parts look like parts when they’re this mangled. But after looking you find it. Looks a bit damage but you can get it. So you dig in your cat claws and start tearing him to get to it, even biting down on it to yank it out. You hear a pop but the cog doesn’t come out. Oh right, it’ll probably be easier if I transformed.

“Warpath, transform.” What can you say other then something to be said about doing it with your beast mode? Makes shredding bots so easy and yet still satisfying. With a few snips of your claw fingertips, you manage to get the cog free, but you notice it seems smaller than you expected. That’s when you noticed the other half of it still inside Terrorsaur. Slag. Next time I’ll get a service droid to do this crap. I’m not blasted doctor.

As you stand there with your half cog, you notice the shadows grow around you. But not from the trees; trees don’t make heavy footsteps at least that you know of.

“Well now, what have we here? Quite the brutal display for a MAXIMAL. Yes…”

You turn to see a large purple robot already transformed. His insignia clearly that of yet another Predacon.

“Looking to get scrapped too?”

The bot growls, “Charming. Here I was wondering, what could have frightened off so many of my soldiers? Sending them back to my base half to scrap? Even this sniveling coward who kept going on about some savage beast?”

Man this guy talks a lot. It’s beginning to grind my gears. “You lookin’ to join them in the junk yard?”

“Such brutality doesn’t sit well with the Maximals, no. So I’m going to give you one and only one chance. Join me or be shredded piece by piece.”

Heh, must be my day for kicking Predacon tail.

As you turn towards him, you notice the sounds of buzzing again. Waspinator is back with them and someone else.

“Wahahaha. For the glory of the royalty!” Another flier; maybe I should trade in my halberd for a flyswatter. Though this one has a large blaster that spits out flames. Though now there are three of them. And I’m still in a rough spot.

“So whats it going to be? Join us or die? You’re out numbered and out gunned.”

You hear the sounds of two blaster bolts fly down and hit Megatron in the chest.

“Not so outnumbered now is he, Predacon.” You see a white tiger not unlike yourself standing off to the side with a large blaster.

“Cheetor MAXIMIZE!”

You see the other Predacons contemplate the situation as Megatron growls louder.

“Heads up fellow bot! Optimus sent us to find you.” The yellow and blue robot calls out. Sounds like a kid. The tall robot with him draws a spinning sword and a spinning shield, looks like he’s aching for a fight.

“Lets slag them now!” he roars.

“Not now Dinobot. Optimus wants us to get Warpath back to the Maximal base.”

What will you do? You’re still partially damage and currently in the middle of a crossfire.

LRRP = Long Range Recon Patrol for those who don't know.

This means we go out on very long patrols, alone, to recon an area. We also use this time to terrorize the Predacons. Sometimes we'll savage them enough to cripple a bot but let it leave. Other times we'll kill a bot and leave it displayed for the Predacons to find, always taking a trophy.

Yes there will be votes on either custom maximal/predacons since in this canon there are plenty of stasis pods in space. You can chose from some of the toyline 'presets' if you find a stasis pod before anyone else or you can always reprogram a protoform (usually more of a predacon thing)

As for Transmetal Airazor
1) She'll have to survive to when we get to transmetals (not sure how long that'll be)
2) She's mostly taken, you could always make a play for her. though at the moment, she finds you a complete enigma and hard to pin down what kind of bot you are aside from one that loves battle. Also she's not the only female bot currently or possibly in the future

“Covering fire!” you shout as you go to kick Terrorsaurs head at Megatron. It smacks him square in the face. He shakes his head giving you major stink eye as you turn on a pivot and transform back into your Sabertooth form and make a run for the other Maximals.

“Gaaah! Blast that feline!” Megatron shots to his troops as he takes aim with his T-Rex head beam cannon. His troops follow suit.

The ant’s cannon are powerful and loud, and almost accurate. You narrowly avoid his shot but make it look like you totally knew what you were doing dodging his shot.

The erratic movements of Inferno make him hard to pinpoint and his shot misses.

The three Maximals take a series of suppression shots as you bolt pass them. They soon follow. You can hear the bellowing of the Predacon leader behind you.

“Blast you Maximal filth. You’ll know the wrath of Megatron next time. Yeeesssss.”

"Hey nice job back there with Lizard beak." Cheetor stands next to you.

"Far more excessive than I would've handled it but to each their own." Tigatron replies looking at you.

"Terrorsaur was a fool and a nuisance. Anything you did, he'd earned. Good riddance for now." Dinobot says without looking at you. You cant help but notice a toothy smile. "You other cats could learn a thing or two from this one."

"Hey!" Cheetor growls

You let the three of them raze on each other while you see what Optimus has to work with.

The cheetah seems a bit of young for this. Sure he’s got heart, but he’s a bit more talkative and you can hear his inexperience in his words. Still signs of potential, with some proper training. A bit of an idealist; probably hangs on Primal’s every word.

The white tiger has the feel of a grizzled veteran. While he seems to come off as stoic and a cool customer, you can see he’s got a warriors look about him. Not like the velociraptor, but he’s got ‘that’ look. I’d say this is the cat Airazor was referring to.

Now the raptor, he’s my kind from what I’ve seen. The weapon choices, the way he carries himself and how the entire way back, he’s been surveying the terrain, despite being in their own territory.

“So,” Tigatron speaks up. “The quiet kind. I get that.”

You turn to face him. “What’s to get?”

“You like to be with your own thoughts. I prefer the calm and quiet of the wild.”

Cheetor pops back up. “Wouldn’t kill you to visit more often though would it?”

Tigatron sighs, “I suppose it wouldn’t but if I was at the base, who’d keep an eye on the Predacons if they decide to linger too far north?”

“Hey Airazor goes on long scouting missions and she manages to find her way back.”

Tigatron smiles, “I suppose that’s true as well.”

Dinobot, “It was cause she was out in the field doing her job, that she found the protoform, furball.” Cheetor’s ears pull back and you notice Tigatron whisker twitch a bit. You take it they’re not fond of Dinobot’s assessment of the situation.

“Heh, the cheetah maybe” Dinobot snaps.

Cheetor seems a bit surprised by your answer. He has a bit of a defeated expression as he stops walking for a moment. Tigatron turns back to him.

“Remember little cat, not everyone has their memories intact when they emerge from their stasis pods.” He places a paw on the kids shoulder “Even I had trouble until I saw you guys stand up for myself and Snowstalker.”

Hmm seems like my case isn’t unique.

Dinobot looks away. “Either way, I wouldn’t have been out their alone. She’s fortunate Optimus was within com range, let alone that Warpath didn’t immediately attempt to blast her like Inferno did.”

“Huh?” Cheetor tilts his head looking back at you as you can feel Tigatrons narrows his gaze at you. Must’ve struck a nerve. There something there I don’t know about. Or maybe the bird’s gotta thing for cats. Dinobot just shakes his head.

“By the pit, finally! We’re here!”

The four of you stand along a ledge overlooking a cliff side. There by a series of water falls is a space ship. A familiar space ship. Not quite what you were expecting, but you guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Guess this is a place to lay my head once in a while. Well, when I’m not out scrapping bots of course. We’ll see.

Its been a while since I saw the show, why couldn't they ever re-position the ship to not hang over a cliff? Like try dragging or jerry rigging something to move it somewhere more stable.

Only thing i could think of was that the Axalon's engines were mostly fried and without proper equipment to lift it up there was no way to move it safely.

One thing you might want to work on as far as writing goes is in combat, having your posts be

Makes it not flow quite so well. Would be better if you were to have your posts be somewhat more narrative focused and the crunch/rolls were not always visible on our end, does that make any sense?

Yea I can see that. I'll think I'll try that next time. I was just making sure people saw how I was using the results of the rolls to show what were hits and what were misses. I'm still trying to find a nice in between spot. But I think people are understanding it enough for me to omit them. Like I said I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

As for when the next thread is, definitely next Wednesday and possibly Friday. I don't wanna say 100% since stuff likes to pop up on me at the last min which I hate.

Maybe, I really want to make sure I can find his voice so to remain consistent. I don't feel the original show did it too much but I'm trying to go for that same tone while staying as close as possible to the original characters mannerisms. But once in awhile if I think it'll fit or might add some levity I might put it in or if that's what the write in wants as well.

Well, we're a Tiger, not a tank. And we have already made a ' Rwaor' when talking about Airazor's sleek superstructure, so it'd probably make more sense to continue along that line rather then drift into Kabooms and Blams just because our Autobot namesake did them.
