When the last thread ended a player-hosted event was still underway - a tournament and celebration following the liberation of Roggarian and Paitran prisoners from enemy hands last month. Hare and Erden host this event, taking place in the Imperial Capital. We will resume as normal when the event is over.

You reach the Imperial Capital early in the morning, as Juras shines his light upon the city painting in it vibrant shades of red and orange. The architecture of the city showing of the best aspects of the Empire's many cultures, ranging from the very narrow but ornate houses of halfling merchants and to you the familiar Zwerchhauses all the way to the extravagant Châteaus of Paitran nobles. The streets are filled with merchants selling their various products and with people greatly enjoying themselves as if a war wasn't raging across the continent, you won't find many people in poverty here all thanks to the charity of yours benevolent Empress Wave. You are informed that the tournament will start latter in the day meaning you will have a couple of hours to explore the city. You can visit one of the many temples and Cathedrals of the city, cruise the markets for goods from all across the Empire, visit the various craftsmen you can find this city and order works to be done in your name or you could simply enjoy the scenery of this great city.

You have a great time visiting the Grand Cathedral. It is truly a wondrous building. The interior height is almost at 60 meters, the architecture is glorious and illusion magic is used to great effect to create a picture of heaven filled with angels. You find many noble visitors and the Pontiffs from all 6 Pantheonic Kingdoms. Among them Belus finds a couple of paitran knights that were imprisoned with him and has a pleasant chat with them.

You all gather at the tournament grounds, many nobles from around the Empire are present yet a great number of the are missing, those have stayed back at the fronts with the armies. Guards are ever present as they watch over you and ensure your safety.

Before the first event of this tournament begins, Empress Wave gives out a speech speaking about the successful rescue mission and thanking the gods for allowing us to celebrate such an occasion. Her speech is met with a thunderous applause and the tournament is officially announced to begin.

The first event will be a normal melee and a decision is ought to be made between the Roggarian participants. Will they join up as a team or will they fight individually.

You two try your best but the number superiority and the eternal Krag surge proved to be too much for you. After defeating the Roggarian team the Dwarven team was quickly cleaned up by the Ondalian team....how did that even happen? It seems like the Ondalian team was lead by a quite skillful individual who defeated a great portion of the Paitran team by himself.
As the captain of the winning team Sir Lambert Marnix is awarded a manor in the Imperial Capital and 3 million marks and has announced that he will be spending his earned money hosting feasts for the commoners and donating the rest to talented artists and theatres. The palace is rich with decorations and is truly a wonder on the eyes as you see ancient carpets from Hasgaldam, trinkets that once could have only been found in the Ashlands and many decorations from Petrekshan even!

You are all welcomed by Wave as this is a night of merrymaking and celebration. Food is being brought out alongside light drinks but no doubt soon the heavy drinking will start. The best bards from across the Empire have gathered to play for you as their music is heard trough the night.

The feast begins! Enjoy yourselves Roggarians, so orders Empress Wave!

When you find that all the halflings are busy either eating or drink or perhaps both you start to feel a little bit down but luckily you find a particularly small little halfling girl whom you bully without mercy until she runs of crying. Congratulations, you made a 5 year old child cry. What's the next step in your master plan?
>>1759749
Everything is going according to your plan. You are perfectly aware of everything going on and you manage to make everyone have the time of their life. The feast is now in full swings, music is the loudest and the mood is heightened when a huge orcs jumps into the main stage challenging our Sir Lambert to a drinking competition. Both are using magic to drink in more and more exciting ways. It looks like the orc is using water magic to have a never ending stream of beer go into his mouth. Even more orcs are coming in storming the palace but of course Empress Wave was aware of this possibility so even more food and drinks were prepared for them

"Hey baby, why don't you ditch this dweeb and find yourself a real man?"

Then Feyd came charming her with his bad boi attitude right until Jasper recited his poem and the Anglosnorse lept into his embrace and left the palace with him. :/
>>1759973
Valeria had a great time bonding with the Paitran lady, who turned out to be Princess Arielle Ezgielan, the only legitimate child of the Paitran King. They bonded over their shared rebellious spirit, unfortunately when Valria tried to steer the conversation towards headpats and handholding the Princess got distracted by Jaspers glorious poetry.

The feast is coming to a close as guests are leaving. Many are teary-eyes for they have heard Jaspers magnificent poetry. Soon even the last of the guests have left, spilling out in to the streets of the Imperial Capital each going to their residence there.
>>
The next morning, people are sluggish. You can only drink so much on the first night of a multi-night event, but eh, no one told most of those attending. Groans and thrown pillows go hand in hand as the event of the day is pushed back due to popular request. That is to say, those athletes that have shown up aren't all in peak form, and there may have been technically banned healing in those tents erected for them. Some substitutes are even called in, with a few being from the Roggarian section.

Warm up games were cancelled, as there's only so much jumping and moving that hungover nobles can watch without vomiting, and thus, the main event is about to begin. While Dragonritter is more of a Roggarian sport than Imperial, it still holds a fond spot in many people's hearts for the pure visual beauty of it. 8 vs 8, with support mages keeping the mounts of the players, the "dragons", aloft. 10 feet high, all players must be knocked off of one dragon for the other side to win, with cushions down below. Some players are already turning green as they are lifted into the air...

As many know, the regional and national leagues generally send their best to compete in the Imperial Capital during the off season, also known as the Imperial Season. As there isn't much to do, most peasants watch the regional leagues, and some even go on pilgrimages to see both the wonders of the Imperial Capital and those they hold pride in at home, the contenders from their region. The two teams that usually top the Imperial Capital's scoreboards are the Demonheads and the Hawkwings, teams known for their rambunctious fans and noble support respectively.

Of course, no one's got that on their minds, they're laughing as two of the Hawkwings' players go tumbling off the dragon without being pushed, and a third is dislodged by the enemy. The one dislodged uses his claw - the "weapon" used to attack if one wishes in the games - to knock off a player on the other side, Calian, but the man is rescued by Gerwig. Herwig falls in vain, and shouts "Even you, Gerwig?" as he does.

And the game finishes as poorly as it began. One of the mages involved in holding up the dragon kept drinking well into the morning, and the unfortunately named Hawkwings topple in a heap to the ground as the front angles towards it as if it was a hawk going for its prey. A very drunk, lopsided hawk.

The leader of the Demonheads receives a 3 year old griffin, which causes his greenness to turn to white, as he vomits, just thinking of the thought of flying again after the event.

The dragonbone lance goes to Gerwig and the shield to Calian, as they were the only two actually trying, while the Ezdari bear known as Pouh has accidentally been put down after gorging himself on honey and poisoning himself in the process.

Jasper, Feyd Rautha and Valeria Vance, responding to a dare by someone at a local tavern, all sign up for the mageball tournament.
While having no idea whatsoever how the game work, they shall place their trust in enough high fives, friendship and teamwork to make it all the way to victory.
>>
The next day, the athletes are actually prepared, though the money is still missing. During the earlier parts of the year, the Centaur Association for Racial Equality (CARE) had been critical of the inclusion of Dragonritter, as centaurs traditionally can't play it. While often disliked by nobles, the group has done good in the past, installing temporary ramps of dirt for centaurs to access buildings in the capital, an environmentally friendly solution to common problems faced by the race. Their leader is a man known as Acetto Tylene, a halfling known for his love of dice and card games. Their criticisms were the reason for the inclusion of the following event...

Mageball is the most popular Imperial sport, as it involves a bit of everything. Played with a ball of dragonskin in the Capital, and regular leather everywhere else, it tests the players' physical and magical strength by teams that are 10 strong each. The goals are small and set 13 feet high, with magic barred in various ways (cannot be used to directly enchant the ball or alter it though it can be used to move it, only 3 points rather than 6 if ball is altered with magic for a goal) though it is generally used as it can often score more points than a purely physical team can. Only kicks and ball movements are allowed for goals, and using magic to attack other mages is allowed, though not the regular participants, who must merely be tackled normally. Mages generally are the best players, but the physically oriented are viewed as underdogs.

As the final game gets underway after qualifiers, the prizes are being prepped in a secret room elsewhere in the stadium. A certain halfling is milling about there, and snaps his fingers. Wherever you are in the stadium, he figures, the fun is about to begin.

The game is tight, neither side gaining a clear advantage. A surge by a group with a fat man in the middle of it somehow gains control of the ball, before it is wrested away by a very aggressive looking centaur. Mageball is a sport dominated by them, you see.

However, the point of interest in the arena lies elsewhere. A man of the Councilors and a wizard are walking down a hallway as they spy a horse in front of a busted wall.

A horse in plaid.

They suspect something is up, but they're not sure what.

Within minutes after the ball is taken, the other team is completely wiped out. However, they are happy to have participated, and as the prizes were to be handed out to whoever was most popular among the former prisoners, they give their votes to the underdogs.

Jasper, Feyd Rautha, and Valeria Vance receive the 3 prizes, and all the glory that comes with it. Dragon blood potions are given to the third place winner, Feyd Rautha, while to the second place winner goes a galentine staff, worked on by both Kovagi and Charodeian priests over the course of several weeks. Of course, only Jasper receives an all encompassing ticket to go to a High Elf school of his choice. Some laugh, but then there's thinking. If they go by high elf ages, Jasper may in fact be around that time, perhaps.

Elsewhere, the wizard and councilor inform the police about what they saw, but neither a horse or a busted wall is there when they come back. In fact, neither is the room hidden there - there's just rock.

Both the councilor and the wizard are informed, and they decide to investigate.

Rolled 27, 10 = 37 (2d100)

Titanweight is quite simple - it actually isn't, but grant me this respite from explaining everything. It's hot potato but with bulging muscles, and increasingly heavy weights.

No Roggarians are set to enter this one, though they are free to interact in the crowd.

The rolls are for the two frontrunners, a Paitran named Charles, and a Roggarian named Deguall.

Rolled 46 (1d100)

It seems Charles has been taking illegal black-market potions, and it shows. He loses control of his left arm, throws his weight into the crowd, and starts hitting himself. When Deguall tries to intervene, he is punched.

Rolling to see what Charles' weight does/how much impact on the crowd...

Rolled 93, 93, 24 = 210 (3d100)

Jasper, ordering a beer and a sausage wrapped in a piece of bread, sits down and watches the contest.
Feyd, curious at what his newly aquired potion does, attempts to slip a few drops into his uncle's drink.

Meanwhile, Valeria attempt to counter the devious turnip stratagem with the classic fist to solar plexus strategy.
>>
The weight lands near a certain halfling putting some things in bags. More specifically, it lands on a bag. It tears, and reveals...

Money, and lots of it. However, that's normal for nobles - what isn't is the mark on the bag, which those with keen eyes like the wizard or councilor instantly recognize as the sign that the money thief had used earlier.

Startled, the halfling panics, and turns into a horse, before trying to use magic to ward off those guardsmen approaching. Instead, he accidentally lights himself on fire momentarily. Transforming into a halfling again, a reedy voice is heard from him.

"My plaid, my plaid!"

It seems he values his clothing.

>>1760269
>>1760273
Valeria's turnip is especially hard, and hits Herwig in the shin. The man winces, and tries to throw one back, only to hit a horse that for some reason is on fire rather close to them.

The sausage tastes like beer, and the beer like sausage. However, that is surprisingly good. It seems that alchemists were on hand messing with the tastes.

Feyd does this, and the man's face turns red, and his buttons pop off as he becomes more muscular.

Valeria executes this but fails, fist knocking a turnip on its way down. Wincing, she goes for a turnip, but receives one to the eye from Herwig. She keeps going though, and performs the ultimate turnip move - accidentally grabbing a knife and performing roll to stab. While she misses, her blade cuts a turnip, knocking the majority of said vegetable to the ground, tripping Herwig.

Deguall wins, and boasts of his strength before going to see a healing priestess on the sideline.

You gather in the courtyard of the Imperial Palace on the morning of the 29th of Abadid. It is Remembrance day and a procession of nobles will be held by Empress Wave, you soon leave the courtyard and pass to the streets to your destination. The main square of the Imperial Capital, better known as Unity square is where the Remembrance day is officially honored by the Empire.

On the square stands a great statue representing a warrior from each of the Pantheonic nations making the Empire. The mood is heavy as many among the nobles and commonfolk have people who they have lost in the war or that are still fighting on the fronts. Speeches are giving on how the sacrifices of those who have fallen will not be in vain and how the Empire will prevail like it did so many times before.

The rest of the day is spent in higher spirit, many turn to drinking to forget or to sooth the pain. Another feast is held in the Imperial Palace by Wave and again the guests return from it drunk, satisfied and hopefully happy.

On the morning of the 30th you could see many hangover nobles leaving the Imperial Capital, some going back to their homes and some back to their front...We will see if by this time next year we will have reasons to feast over and celebrate.

Turns resume as normal, stats as in the OP; Date - the 1st of Domnis, 814 After the Storm.
Notable news - further investigation into the Dragonstomb Treasury Heist reveals that what the robbers stole could only have been one billion Marks - those who were kept in the form of gold and silver bars, primarily. Parts of the treasury were simply destroyed along with the money contained there, but extensive searching through the rubble did yield some returns from caches that were not fully destroyed.
In general, the economic situation in the Holy Pantheonic Empire is still stable after nearly two years of almost total war. Intelligence reports from the south indicate that our enemeis are not faring as well economically.

D it is - freely present all ideas you have for changes in the functioning of our military.
Present war situation: The snows have melted on the mountain front where we most recently took Fortress Durga. In total we have 90k Roggarian forces there(of whom 70k are Gobbopolian), backed by an equal amount of Kragnan troops.
We have made no advancements on the desert front - at Stoman's Gate we have 60k Roggarian troops.
On the western front the RDF has 80k troops, of whom 25k are Gobbopolian and 25k are Ogrestani. The mighty city of Baodar-shi still stands, but the Bao river is mostly in our hands by this point.

Give ideas for general military improvements now, though - war plans after.

Meanwhile, at Trusted Defense

“Dahnald Drunf II, you have failed me for the last time!” Trusted Councilor Drunf bellowed as his tiny fist smashed into his desk, sending tendrils of pain up the nerve threads of his thin, thin skin, only enraging him further.
“I gave you hundreds of good men, the resources of the NSA, and a good tip on what was gonna happen there! And you still allowed Charlestead to be partially overrun by the living dead!” Froth was forming at the edges of his mouth, “And now you dare come crawling back to me!?”
“Fa… father… You don’t understand… I really tried.” Drunf II was squirming under the gaze of his father, like a schoolboy who’d forgotten his homework.
“Then ya shoulda tried harda! The army should have strangled that infestation in a week!” his baby fat finger was viciously prodding his son in the chest repeatedly.
“The commander refused me troops father! I don’t know why, it was almost like he wanted the Eternians to suffer as much as possible.”
“Excuses, excuses! I don’t want it. Why can’t you be like any of your brothers? Baron is merely 12 and he just recently cracked open a human trafficking ring all by himself!”
Dahnald Drunf II did not respond, tears in his eyes and hands curled up into fists.

Feeling benevolent, Drunf patted his oldest son on the back. “There, there… It’s okay. Important part is that you tried right?” he smiled, taking care to use his encourage-tone, “Now for something more important, did you take care of my… special order?”
Drunf II raised his head, spirits up. “That I did father!”
“That’s my lad!”
“200 young Eternian virgin girls, bought and paid for in gold. Had them carefully inspected father, not a single gold coin wasted on merchant trickery. I only spend two thirds of the money I had at my disposal. I made the best deals! Even you would have been impressed!”
“My lad! Now my Superboat casino will have the best hookers in the realm!”
“... Hookers dad?” Drunf II’s smile vanished.
“Well, lets see them! I wanna sample the wares myself!” the lord of Trusted Defense responded, eagerly rubbing hands.
“Well, I… Upon returning to Trusted Lands… had them all released…”
Taken aback, Drunf could only mutter “You… what…”
“I had them all released father, gave them the remaining gold and all. That was what I was supposed to do right? Save the innocent maidens from a war zone?”
Seeing his father quickly turning the color of a yet undiscovered vegetable known in the future as a tomato, he quickly added: “Not all of them father! One of the maidens and me, we… you see… Me and Vanessa are married now father. I… it was true love!”
Apparently losing out on the possibilities of a strategic marriage for his oldest son did not make things better.
“DAHNALD DRUNF II, YOU ARE THE WORST SON A MAN COULD EVER ASK FOR!”

Aristos suggestion:

Communication is key in warfare, and spatial is becoming unreliable what with blockers and all.

I believe we can improve communication with the usage of fireworks, to relay simple urgent messages across the battlefield, on the march, or something like that. They'll be colour-coded, details to be hammered out later.

"While in contact with the duke of gobbopolis we have noted the lacking in our method of warfare and he has seen to make this wrong right. Currently he has drafted multiple plans which are as follows."
Operation: Water Dragon
Forces: 90k
Commander: Duke Foreman Swift-Hands III Vice-Commander Darren Stonecair

On the Zhong front the Royal Onadalian Forces and the Western Roggarian Army will advance along the coast with the goal of taking the coastal cities Baodar-shi, Chi-raobon and Zhenzhuhei. With our current naval advantage and economic stability over the Zhongi we should be able to keep our naval dominance disrupting any attempts to resupply the cities and destroy any ship production along the coast. We shall leave the interior to General Tso but not for one second should we think to trust him, his interest is Zhongi only and will not hesitate to destroy us.
Operation: Badland Blitz
Forces: 80k
Commander: Imperial Marshal Belat Dragonscarred Vice-Commander: Barius Divata

The Centaurs have made good progress destroying armies that have attempted stall their progress or make counterattacks into the steppes. The Imperial Marshall shall lead the 50k men of the current Roggarian Royal army and the 30k of the Elite Imperial Army to reinforce the King of Lursar in his Badlands campaign with the heavy infantry components of this army will increase the ability of this army to take fortified holds, and act as the anvil to the centaurs hammer.
Operation: Honorable Heights

With the steady advance of the Roggarian-Dwarf Army before the winter it seems the fighting will soon take place in the inner Poodwarf lands. With the great animosity that exist between the Poodwarfs and Goblins we should withdraw all the Roggarian forces to be replaced with the Paitrans who shall with the Kragnalese put forward a more “honorable” warfare in hopes that loses will be low and the Poodwarfs will surrender.
Operation: Gyolas’s Guidance

The Naval Fleet based out of the Archeri isles will begin a campaign of hit and run attacks focused on destroying Caliphate naval assets while forcing so many attacks that they are forced to spread their dragon on incredibly thin if they wish to try to counter them all.(edited)
Operation: Desert Stall

The HED dominion army and the Anglanorse army based out of Stoman’s Gate will continue their operations of small battles designed to wear down the Caliphate forces or bating them into fighting battles against our fixed defenses.
>>
>>1760415
Operation: Homefront
Forces: 90k
Commanders: High Zealot Wallace and Claudius Vance

The Goblin forces under High Zealot Wallace shall head back to Roggar to clear out the Charlestead necropolis while the remaining forces shall remain in the Rorc Valley under the command of Claudius Vance. after this the feudal forces of Gobbopolis will be disbanded from combat and sent back to their homes. Those who showed promise in this war will be given plots of land in Bullhorn and new knights and castles raised in the area to help it transform the area once again into a thriving area of Roggar.
Vance, utilizing his remaining Roggarians, scrambled reinforcements and allied troops from kragnaal and the minotaurs shall focus all efforts on securing the fort to the south of rorc valley. Afterwards go into defensive mode

16th of Domnis, 814.
Eternia - a land of death and ruin. Its people by now have either fled, died or move as undead.
Important forces had been pulled out of Charlestead some months prior - a grave mistake by Duke Swift-Hands. Bandits and GGG attacks were no longer an issue in Eternia and surrounding areas, yes - but the undead were.
Charlestead is divided into 4 walled quarters and the central area - the undead had been contained to the northwestern area for some time, but in the last two weeks things had gone very, very bad. Now most of the city was overwhelmed. The undead appear to be able to rise up on their own - all who are killed by them fill their ranks. This is a city of the dead - and they area about to spill out into the countryside. A force of several thousand is trying to contain the situation along the walls and the southeastern quarter - the old town of Bullcoast. The undead number in the tens of thousands. Word from elsewhere says our armies are encountering troubles on multiple fronts, with a large Gobbopolian force having been directed from the Mountain Front - almost two thousand kilometers away - to Eternia. Well, they'll need at least another month to get here - time the dead won't give you.

You've got eight thousand Ondalians holding the southern gate; eight thousand Roggarian reservists holding the northwestern gate; six thousand holding Bullcoast. Minor forces/heroes from any faction may be here if you think it's plausible.

What will you do about the present situation?

The hearth of every undead army is the necromancer summoning the undead. Our only hope to win this battle of stall it long enough so that the reinforcements come on time is to slay the necromancers. In order to do that we will need to assemble a small elite group that will go trough the undead infested city. My dwarf friend and i could scout out the necromancer position in the city and make it easier for the group to reach their target. We would also need a diversion attack to keep most of the undead army busy. To do that we should have the halflings make a diversion attack and use their golems to minimize the losses and stop feeding the undead with more fresh bodies.

Arathas II Menthel, grandson of the famed Arathas "The Purger", now an older knight, has come out of retirement to personally lead four of his own fellow veteran knights here.

A raid group of around fourty has been assembled - the perfect size (A few could be retconned in later).
Our aerial scouting has managed to reveal the exact location of the enemy's headquarters - their necromancers are gathered in a few small groups at key points in the city, with the biggest gathering being at the ruins of the Statue of Charles - at the heart of the city.

The Ondalians have sent forth their golems from the southern gate, engaging portions of the enemy force - with no time to lose and the desire to PURGE intensifying, our raid group advances from the southeast.

The party gathered into formation and advanced, preparing its potions, magical buffs and plans - but nothing could prepare them for what was to come.
You cross the line of barricades and pass through the ruined gate leading to central Charlestead - within a minute you are swarmed by undead from every side!

>>1762980
Arathas swings his greatsword at the coming undead, putting several down, but sees as his old comrades fall one by one beside him, leaving him alone to face the horde.
>>1762982
Reimar's warded shield and Kolina's warding spells hold the enemy off for a while, but eventually the knight is swarmed by so many foes he is forced to drop his shield and switch to hacking the enemies apart with two hands, the shield having been battered heavily by this point. At that moment several undead soldiers slip past and one of them is able to land a hit on Kolina, giving her a nasty scar across the face, leaving her right eye unusable.
>>1762986
You shoot out fires at the encroaching undead, with a few being killed, but flames are not as effective as you'd hoped - the dead feel no pain, as long as their bodies can be moved by the necromantic spells. At one point you feel a pain in your left wing - you are under fire yourself and you take cover to avoid serious damage, being unable to identify the source.

>>1762983
You take defensive positions, shooting at the enemies with your oversized(for other races, that is) crossbows and then hacking them to pieces with the blades attached to them if they get close. One of your men is wounded too badly in his left arm to reliably shoot and must switch to melee or be pulled back.

Your group is first in line when a second wave of zombies swarms over you - you kill dozens, but your ranks are broken by a risen frost giant; while Nothos is able to take him down from his pegasus, you look in horror as a new foe charges at you - a headless horseman atop an undead horse, a name comes to your mind as the last thought before his blade meets your face. The flames of magical attacks almost kill your group, but you are able to take cover behind the rubble of some building - you recognize it as being a part of the Cathedral of Stoman.
>>1763060
You see them - a gathering of necromancers, some of them focusing on micro-managing the undead, the others using their spells in support - the undead aren't the best shooters, so they need it. You fly over them and carve a burning path with yor powerful flames, causing the bodies of the undead to burst and the necromancers to flee in terror or die in agony - as a result, a fair number of undead crumble around the battlefield.
>>1763061
Your halberds and pikes are effective, allowing you to keep the enemy at a safe distance for elimination - your teamwork is impeccable as well and with the enemy's ranged support eliminated you are able to not only stop the advance of the undead, but make a counterattack and the retrieving of wounded fighters possible.
>>1763062
Your wounded man is bandaged up and he's staying in reserve for the time being as the rest of your squad dispatch enemies as per their elite training.
>>1763063
You cross blades with the headless horseman - were he alone you may have stood a chance, but several undead on your sides rendered you completely unable to strike back, being constantly pushed back - Knight Peter's group manages to save you from being killed, with the headless horseman retreating alongside the remaining forces - into the Cathedral of Stoman.

For the moment, the battle winds down - hundreds of corpses lie, mangled and broken, no longer usable by the necromancers, a dozen of whom also lie dead. From the direction of the barricades a group of reinforcements approaches to fill your ranks - at the head of it is a tall knight, clad in steel from head to toe.

The wounded in the raid group can be sent back to safety to be treated - though they likely won't be available for the rest of this battle.
Choose if you'll send your wounded back or keep them going.
We now have a choice - go for the Cathedral, which is close to us, or continue on to the Ruined Colossus

You advance on the Ruined Colossus - what remains of it now is less than a third of what once stood. Before you are able to reach the entrance to the underground mausoleum complex, you encounter another force of undead - Former Iron Legionnaries mostly. This force, rather than attacking you in a chaotic mob, forms up a loose formation - you see some among them aren't just mindless ghouls or skeletons, but rather appear to be intelligent or self-aware - either vampires or liches, you'd guess.
You'll have to fight through this group now! Everyone in the fight, roll a d100!

Theunis' idea, based on the popular myth that evil creatures fear garlic, proved to be a waste of garlic - his men found themselves engaging the undead up too close and personal - three of his group die, the remaining are wounded, being saved from certain death by Nomin's group. It's Vand and two of his followers left now, light to medium wounds.

The raid group is now largely surrounded, hundreds if not thousands of undead aiming to devour them. The only way left is forward!

Cardinal Vicelin leads our own charge forward, fighting to clear the way to the mausoleum entrance.
Roben is safely taken away to safety - Persephone will be able to return next round.
Vand's comrades fall beside him, but before the headless horseman can strike the final blow and take him down, Nothos sweeps in from above and knocks the enemy to the ground where Hershan jumps in to finish him off. Theunis is the last one alive from his group, with moderate injuries sustained, but he can still keep on fighting if he wishes to.
While this is happening, we see a new face in the enemy ranks- a large minotaur, his face obscured by a scars, bits of metal and pipes across his body, numerous horns and spikes sticking out across his face and back - standing over eight feet tall he faces one of the minotaurs from the Winterlord's strike force head to head - ripping the crossbow from his hands and proceeding to pummel him with unbelievable strength, finally breaking his neck. Before a confused man at arms from Vand's group can even mutter the name on his tongue, the massive taur knocks him out cold with a single punch to the head.

The Bat, seeing a familiar foe, charges in to engage him one-on-one...
It's a duel between The Bat Knight and VANE.

One of the batarangs almost blinds the bullman, disorienting him long enough to allow the Bat to move to the side and slice at the bull's right hamstring - the knight tries to go for a swipe at his enemy's back as well, but Vane is able to turn around in time and simply deflects the blow to the side with his massive, muscle-bound arm, the blade hitting a metal plating seemingly sewn into the flesh.
The bull now tries to grab his opponent, who is able to grip his own sword firmly once more.

Distracting himself with more than one action at the same time was a mistake - The Bat, managing to throw a single batarang, is then caught in the bull's grasp, the sword difficult to use in this close range - the exploding projectile tears some of the flesh from the bull's right shoulder, but he pays it no heed.
"You think the darkness is your ally?" Vane says inbetween grunts, his voice distorted by the various metals on his face. He begins to squeeze.

The Knight rushed in before the bull could begin stomping on the Bat's body, however - now the two will fight one on one!

Emerich's shield is strong - and while he knew that the Bat was a strong man, few in the human race could match his own strength, even with no magic involved. But he knew this was no time to be testing out his skill - he had to fight seriously. With the surface of his shield becoming rock-hard, his left arm being enchanted by body enchantment to bear the blow, he is able to shrug off Vane's kick and the punches that followed - maneuvering to the side, Emerich uses a moment of opportunity to slash at the minotaur from above once, with a returning motion from below following that.
The bull man's fists are bleeding, his skin having been peeled off, but he is no longer fully sane or aware of such things as pain, not with his pipes broken off.

Emerich puts force into his feet now, he has to move around Vane - the bull's hits are hard and even through the enchanted shield, the knight feels them - yet he grits his teeth and keeps moving. He has noticed where the bull is wounded - moving to the left, Emerich positions himself in the bull's weaker area and hits Vane's right leg several times again. Now he sees that it is buckling and the minotaur's mobility is seriously hindered.

The bull man simply takes the blow on - the sword is driven deep into his chest, finally going out the other side - Vane proceeds to grab Emerich, the chains on his wrist firmly grasping around him and pulling him in for a tight hug of death.
The sword was no longer usable, the shield had fallen to the ground - it was a wrestling match and Emerich was facing, for the first time in a while, a foe who could overpower him. He struggled, trying to get his arms under the minotaur's shoulders, his legs to grasp onto the back of the bull's knees to pull him down, but the berserking Vane had lifted him up and was starting to crush him. As a maniacal, bellowing laugh was starting to emerge from the minotaur's half-torn mouth, a smaller figure lept on to its back and a blade was stuck through the back of Vane's skull, into the place where his brain should be. Whether there was such a thing there or not, Tombkeeper couldn't be sure - so he just stuck another dagger in, just to be safe. The bull man's grip loosened and Emerich was able to get out, breathing a sigh of relief.
The two Roggarian-born men looked at the body of the Bat Knight. He was breathing, though just barely.
"I'm sorry, Morslieb - I couldn't protect him in time. His spine's crushed, he will take a lot of time and treatment if he wants to fight again."
"I trained him, made him the man he was - the one who would succeed me if- no, when I meet my end at last. This was his test and he fought well, but it seems he is not ready yet."
A sad nod from a saddened man. Emerich knelt down and picked up the Bat Knight's body carefully.
"I'll see to the rest and I'll be back when I can - though you'll probably have finished by then, Tombkeeper."
"Go on then, Ford. We have an elder lich to put down."

The figure turns around, standing up straight - four muscly arms extending, armor plating all over the body, a weapon in each hand. A scaley surface can be seen in a few spots, mostly on the face.
The earth rumbles. Undead start flooding from multiple directions once more - Vand and the Death Squad fight together, with two of the younger fighters in the Death Squad falling.
You see Persephone, the Roggarian Demoness, starting to cry. She extends her arms into an open space before her, after which you see her body falling to the ground, multiple deep wounds in it, the blood overflowing, the demoness drawing her final breaths - there is no time to aid her and the enemy is on all sides!

Walking through, Persephone noted that the scent and sight of death was all around. Brown stains all around indicated that once was here, was no longer. It would be somewhat less gruesome if there was blood coming from the undead, but of course, there wasn't. Fluidless things moved about, and though they were not fast, in sheer numbers they could manage to take care of most living things left. She sighed. While her body bore nothing but a few wounds, there was always something draining about war.

Of course, her thoughts distracted her from her actions, and those of others. In front of her there was a light, green in color, and as it hit her, her wings faltered... body weakened, she fell to the ground, in front of... no, it couldn't be.

"B-brother?"

An image stood before her, of the man she had tried to kill, the man she never saw again after that. He had imprisoned her, yes, but she deserved it. After being corrupted in the lands of Virinum, she had acted out of anger against her own blood. After she was released, she wandered, but found solace only in people, not in places. One by one they all went, most recently Vy. The deaths of demons doomed to a fate no mortal would bear, by their own actions.

She was crying now, and couldn't stop.

"I'm sorry, he - no, it was all me..."

Going for an embrace, she thought she could feel warmth emanating from the blonde and lanky male, but the next seconds would destroy any semblance of that. Her eyes were closed, arms wrapped around the impossible man. But shortly, a cold feeling emerged from her navel, followed by a sharp pain. The blade of the Hawthornes had been buried in her guts, and judging by his movement, it was by his hands.

"I deserved this."

Stumbling backwards, Persephone muttered to herself.

"Oh god... the horror, the horror!"

Her eyes widened, and then she closed them for the last time.

After another chunk of the ceiling falls on one of the NSA members, you all decide it's wisest to get out of the building - on the way, Sir Peter finds Beldrick, who had apparently dropped his spoon wand on the way, but had now just recovered it.

You make it in time up to the surface - the entire Ruined Colossus is collapsing on itself now, it will be nothing but rubble within the next minute.
What you should worry about is the foe you face up on the surface - on the plaza you are met by hundreds, no, possibly thousands of undead. They are all waiting, however, not attacking.

In front of the ranks of undead stands a group less uniform - all breathing, living people.
The four-armed freak you saw earlier, a demonic succubus on the sides of a tall elvish woman, skin white as snow. In front of them stand seven heavily armed and armored dwarves, behind them - the ranks of the undead.
"You just HAD to go and ruin my house, didn't you?" the woman says, her voice an eerily cold, yet melodic tone.
"It's over for you now - you can die here if you want, I don't care all that much."
She points a finger to the goblin clad in black
"You, however, WILL die."
"Whitesnow. Couldn't face a foe on equal ground, could you?"
"She's the one behind this operation. An elder lich, one of the most dangerous necromancers in the world." the goblin tells the others in the raid group as he puts his daggers away and unsheathes a Messer sword, a blade that a man his size would have to wield with two hands.
"Don't believe her lies."

It's up to you fellows now - negotiate, if you wish, it's a chance you might not have later.

Those who stepped forward to surrender were put under a spell that made them fall asleep - they were put away behind the ranks of undead soldiers.
Some of the nameless warriors on our side will be holding off the rank and file of the enemy's undead.
Basically, all named characters(with up to 1 other if you still have that many left) are going to fight the enemy's leader group - you have the seven dwarves, the succubus, the four-armed freak and Lady Whitesnow.

State who you have on your side and what you'll do with them. This is the final fight here - think on what you'll do.

A crash is heard and the ground cracks as the creature's rapid descent finishes. Dust rises and gradually clears away.
A white feathered griffon, large, powerful and armored - its feet having crushed the daemonette beneath it. From a saddle on the griffon's back an armour-clad figure jumps off onto the ground - standing up straight, around seven feet tall, its shining armor, gleaming spear and swirling cape are like something out of a fairy tale.
As the griffon's claws tear apart the neck of the succubus, the knight in shining armor takes several steps forward, in the direction of the remaining Pantheonic warriors.
"My fellow Ezdari brother, Nothos, warned the barricades of everything that is happening - I rushed as fast as I could. To see this here, to smell this stench of villiany - I can not allow it to go any further. That is why I must say with pride:
Do not fear, for I am here!"

Taking a second to look around himself, the knight charges forward - his feet causing the ground to crack as he launches himself with enchanted power.
His spear goes through the lich's body, but he does not stop - instead he continues onwards, leaping to the side of Sir Dahnald. With a stomp of his foot he shatters the ice encasing him, picks up his body and continues on - with another jump he lands near Baba, leaving Sir Dahnald to her care; With his next motion, leaping to the place where Reimar is similarly encased in ice, he gently taps it with his spear, an emberous fire melting the ice and unthawing the body - he repeats the previous action.
All of this happened within the span of no more than twenty seconds - the griffon proceeded to move over to the rider, allowing him to mount the steed - gaining some altitude first, he then charged at the zavinum from above, spearing him to the ground and picking up Hershan and the Cardinal.

The knight and the lizard proceed to begin pummeling each other with bare hands until one of them falls - and eventually, that one is the lizard freak, one final right hook sending him down, his head busting up the cobbled road as his own spine finally cracks.

The scenery is now oddly quiet. The undead are scattered, few in number... The fighting seems to have ceised, with the enemy's leader having left the field.

You grouped up and held our position - for more than half an hour, no attack came upon you - the wounded were stabilized, those who'd been put to sleep awoke.
You were on edge when the sound of stomping boots approached you, but soon you saw that it was the living, not the dead - the three army forces had advanced in from all sides after the undead had converged in the center; The army helped us get out of the center of the city and back to some place where proper medical help could be provided to those who had yet to die.

In the following month, Charlestead remained under quarantine - thanks to the daring raid, the necromancers were not able to spread their affliction beyond the walls. Whitesnow had vanished, all our efforts to find her were in vain - but at the price of several dozen good men's lives, the lives of what could have been many thousands of people were saved. When the bigger reinforcements finally arrived in Charlestead, the city would be completely purged within a week, by the end of Ezdarin.
On the other fronts, Roggar would continue to face hardship as well, though - a tale for tomorrow or a later day.

Sitting exhausted in the dirt next to his unconscious captive, the rest of his wounded and tired companions scattered around the ruins, sir Dahnald II waves weakly to the approaching soldiers, "We won you guys, no worries." He attempts to smile, the gesture barely visible under the caked blood sprayed over him by his the men and women that died protecting him.

The news, when received, was not taken well.

Grace was sitting and having a cup of tea with Darren in his office when it came through. Discussing the weather, neither of them wanted to address what they knew was going on on the continent. They hadn't received word from Persephone in quite a bit, and though neither wished to admit it, they feared the worse. A boy dressed in browns delivered a message to them - his name was Orbeck, and he was favored by the headmaster. He wasn't overly ambitious, but he knew the basics of enchanting despite his age. His father, Hambeaste, was off as well, and thus the young lad was curious as to what was going on too.

The message itself came in the form of a letter, which was read by Darren, keeping his eyes a few words ahead of what he was actually saying.

"We regret to inform you that both Persephone Hawthorne and - and that's enough of that. Orbeck, why don't you go out and play with Gura?"

"Okay!"

And with that the peppy child wandered out, going to play with Grace and Jac's child. Of course, Grace was the only one who had noticed how Darren's face had paled, and knuckles tightened. Her heart was ready to leap out of her chest, and his next words made it skip a beat.

"They're dead. Both of them."

The cup of tea sailed to the ground.

"T-they're really dropping off like flies these days, aren't they."

"Grace..."

"It's fine. I was going home anyways."

With that, she departed. A temporary caretaker to Lainn, now made permanent by misguided fate. As Grace stepped out into the night with her child, the snow fell, hard. And as it did, it felt colder than ever before.

While the Homefront operation is now successfully mopping up, with the Gobbopolian reinforcements having arrived in Eternia, the other fronts are, at best, rather neutral - on the Zhongi front the advance stalled after reinforcements from the south lifted the siege of Baodar-shi - we hold a naval advantage that is yielding some results, but the city itself is holding, though most of the river crossings are ours. General Tso's progress is slow as the forces of the Empress have refocused attention on them as well - the intelligence we have suggests that our side's war progress caused enough of an upset in the Zhongi Imperial Court for small reforms to be passed and a reshuffling of certain cabinet positions, in particular those relevant to the war effort.
In the badlands we're facing what appear to be the most elite forces of the Caliphate with sizable dragon reinforcements and impressive fortifications - our armies only recently positioned themselves there and their initial supporting operations did little to help the centaurs.
In the desert we've had setbacks as enemy armies have secured all desert territory they lost to us other than the oasis fortress. The eastern naval operations were also unsuccessful, the Rhoznaxi navy having partially recovered from previous losses and learned lessons from mistakes.
The only progress we've made is on the mountain front, where Paitran and Kragnan forces have further advanced, taking Jayesh and Pertapal, giving them access to the lush Petreki river valley for the next phase of operatons.
>>
Forces available:
Zhongi Front:

Badlands front:

Mountain:
90k Kragnan, 60k Paitran, 10k Minos
Stoman's Gate & Ezirin reserves:
10k Paitran, 50k Anglanorse
Desert Front:
180k Aurileni, 250 ships

(Some estimates may be rough)

In addition, the few news we are able to get from Hajatas read as follow:
Goblin revolts in the East haven't been able to seize any major cities, but haven't been wiped out either - they continue to operate, taking some losses, winning some gains from time to time
The Hajatan focus of the Rhoznaxi is on Kamborash, where the orcs are being pushed further and further, though their resistance continues

What should we do now:
A.An economic turn
B.War planning
C.Raid/expedition
D.Other

Meanwhile, at Trusted Defense

“Dahnald Drunf II, you have failed me for the last time!” Trusted Councilor Drunf bellowed as his tiny fist smashed into his desk, sending tendrils of pain up the nerve threads of his thin, thin skin, only enraging him further.
“But father, we won...” Dahnald attempted.
“Don’t you give me that shit!” Froth was forming at the edge of Drunf’s mouth, “You needed other people to bail you out, you got some of my best people killed, you allowed the villain to escape and the city is still a ruin!”
“But… but dad…”
“Meanwhile your brother Eric just got back from wiping out another Black Legion lair! That’s proper high energy! That’s what I expect from my sons!” Drunf senior made a gesture over to a couple of divans where Eric and Baron were reclining, drinking fruity drinks. Upon hearing his name Eric raised his glass in salute and gave his most charming smile.
“But…” Junior had not quite given up. “I captured one of them… a vampiress.”
“OOOH! ONE captive! You must be so proud of yourself! So sad!” Drunf shook his head in shame, all the body language he was willing to waste on his failure of a child.
“S… sorry dad.”, Dahnald mumbled
“Well, is she a hottie at least? You’ve tried her out right?” A couple of not subtle winks followed the enquiry.
“D… dad. She’s a valuable source of intel and currently our best lead on Whitesnow. Her looks does hardly factor...”
“SAD!”

(Will give off-front news later, but first the situation on the site:)
The enemy has put importance on this front, it seems. The industrial city of Mernok has been attacked, but has yet to fall - the Lursari have been able to advance as far as Gers and even a bit beyond, but have been pushed back to the northern Shields - our twolegged armies have taken positions in those rugged lands, while the Lursari prepare for a new offensive on flatter terrain.
If you want to ask questions, go ahead. Give proposals, etc.

News from the HPE:
Two of King Salno Ondalan's halfling children were assassinated, while his firstborn(also a halfling) was injured by goblin assassins - sparking panic and fears in Ondalia. Crownprince Hubrecht Ondalan was taken by Empress Wave to the Imperial Capital - along the way they were also attacked, but the Empress' guard protected both of them successfuly, with the attackers not being clearly identified this time.
King Salno has not blamed anyone by name yet and no group has stepped forward to take responsibility for the atrocious murders.

The sooner we knock them out the better right?"

Have the two legged armies hold positions where they are, and be prepared to move out, once the centaurs have reached Mernok and begun the siege, our two legged armies shall leave a garrison to guard the shields and then head out to support the siege of Mernok.

The two legged armies will focus on trying to take the industrial city away from the blorcs and seize the means of production there while the centaurs will do what they are best at, hit and run tactics and harassing the enemy supply lines.

The city's walls have been rebuilt after previous breaches, the garrison is strong and its supplies, according to intelligence, are enough to hold out at least a month. Our army has approached, with the centaur outriders having secured the advance for us.
The main centaur force is reaping success on the flat lands, they are scouring the river valley with its villages and smaller towns.
How should we go about taking the city?
A.Starve it out
B.All-out assault as soon as a breach is made
C.Long assault - steadily whittle them down, do not overcommit to a single assault
D.Other plan(perhaps to send in teams to open the gates?)

Our own present supplies will not last us a month, but with what the centaurs can bring in from their raids, we could.

The mechanism is very hard to move. You feel like that description of Hell you once heard of - a man pushing a giant boulder up a hill. You're also dehydrated now, or at least it feels like that.
>>1772817
The guard patrol simply ran past you, going for the ladder, with one of them swinging his axe and cutting your face off with it. You died.

>>1772821
You're busy with the guards for now - you killed one, three left!
>>1772824
You enter the gatehouse, where the guard has just stopped and called for reinforcements - there's one man going down the stairs from the upper level of the gatehouse, at least two coming over from the other side of the walls. The mechanism to open the gate is heavy.

You seem to forget that the enemy knows you're here now. An arrow hits you in the shoulder as your own ice lance grazes an orc. You almost stumble and fall over the wall.

You're breathing and moving fast - the orc is keeping his guard up and you haven't hit him yet though.
>>1772840
You make it to the gate mechanism and start pushing.

An orc with a morningstar smacks you hard in your left arm, the pain from it making it unusable from the elbow down. He hits you once in the side as well, a clean blow.

>>1772883
You jump on the eggheaded orc with the hammer, distracting him at a valuable moment - he was about to bring it down to crack open Feyd's skull.
>>1772884
He grabs you and throws you to the side, your head hitting the wall. Your vision is blurry, but you see him standing over you with his knife in hand.

Victory!
By noon of the 30th of Ezdarin the city of Mernok was firmly in HPE hands. We killed ten thousand defenders, captured eighteen thousand(mostly armed citizens) while losing six thousand dead on our side and twelve thousand wounded.
These figures include the centaurs who participated - some portions of the enemy forces fled through the southern gate, but were intercepted by the Lursari. The only ones who managed to get away were one group that made it east, to the mountains.

This is a glorious triumph for our forces that we should celebrate! Do some RP interactions maybe, a victory feast - the city had a good amount of plunder to give us. You can also try to look for information and such here.

It has economical significance as the center of western Kovinarg, where the villages and small towns of the region bring their goods to market. It was built at the location believed to be Gerkrank's birthplace and has well-developed military facilities.

The army stationed there is believed to be at least sixty thousand-strong. It also is important for travel to Zhongian. At least one dragon is believed to be defending Gers as well.

"Aye aye, i can agree to this. we can do the other bois plan if this one doesn't work. But i would have to add one thing for us to consider. Since i was a young little gobbo surviving in the streets of Gobbopolis i always had this one ehhh particular dream you could say. Said dream being to slay a dragon and it seems the opportunity presents its self. If the army comes out we should do a night raid and stab the dragon in his eyes! Here looke i havz this dagger coated in the most expensive poison i could buy to kill that dragon!!!" the goblin Captain explained

"B-But C-Captain, D-Dragons are i-immune to p-poison." muttered out the goblin standing beside the Captain.

The others goblins face became so white that you could mix him up for a human weren't not for his hideous face. "Why didn't you tell me that when we were in the black market BUYING THE DAMN THING?" the goblins face became one of pure rage.

The centaurs advanced at the fore, striking quiclly and raiding the enemy's countryside with our army moving behind. The Capital army dug itself in at Dagrom while our forces were moving across The Dustbowl.
Scout reports on the 6th of Stomnis:
The feint is successful! We lured the Gers army out of its safe confies; The Two-leg army engages them first, with the centaurs rapidly moving in to encircle them!

We have 56 000 men facing the enemy's 70-odd thousand.

The enemy's dragon, until now having kept out of sight, flew over to deliver a devastating attack - a cloud of dark energy, choking all caught inside - this must have been pre-emptively planned, as the orcs who charged in at that spot were not affected by the magic, using it as an opportunity to break through our formation!

We are engaged in melee with a superior force, but our rearguard can already hear the hooves of approaching reinforcements.

We've held! The thunder of tens of thousands of centaurs joining the fray is like a godsend to our boys on the frontline - the Lursari heavy vanguard charges straight at the flanks of the enemy army, while their lighter forces begin to circle around to hit the enemy from all other angles. Mass volleys from Lursari archers are followed by the charge of their lancers, tearing apart the orcish formations and sowing chaos in the lines of our foe! The initiative is now firmly on our side, along with just about every other factor!

The enemy army is crumbling before our eyes - their elite core is trying to hold onto a position, their dragon, having been wounded by a centaur warrior leaping twenty feet off the ground and striking it with the full force of his polearm, is grounded.

The enemy's rear has broken into full retreat - the centaurs have intentionally not fully encircled the enemy - Yumlam Lursarin knows that a foe with nowhere to run will fight to the end; give the orcs the illusion that they can escape the centaur horde and they'd rather run than stay on the battlefield.

One more push and we may finish the enemy off entirely!

By the end of the day, the results of the battle are as follow:
The Imperial Army has 2k dead, 3k wounded; The Roggarian Royal Army has 3k dead, 5k wounded; The centaurs lost suffered less than a thousand dead and around three thousand wounded.
Around 30k enemies were killed, 40k captured.

The enemy has massed a larger force at the capital - believed to be over a hundred thousand; They have multiple forts and lines of fortifications around the city proper, with Darmog being well-fortified and with a large population that could be used for emergency reinforcements in battle.

Our supplies are fine for now, we didn't expend too much ammunition, medical supplies are what we're going through the fastest though.
Morale is now very high.

The city's defenders were able to repell our assaults - we'd underestimated them, as they fought tooth and nail on the walls and at the gate, pushing us back and destroying the equipment we deployed near the walls.
When we pulled back to camp to regroup and rest for the night, we found that some kind of sickness has started to spread in our ranks, one that causes great fatigue and weariness, combined with breathing troubles.

Signed - Argem Pasha

As we read the letter in our army's headquarters and begin discussing the next strategies, we have word that a second message has been sent - this time more discreetly, by a single runner through a side gate. It's from the Pasha, again
"My oath is for life and I will not back down.
If you want to treat, I have a proposal to you - send your champion and I will fight him myself. Win and you may be able to get my second in command to surrender to you. Lose and you will lift the siege and withdraw.

Lee is outfitted in lightweight blue armor and wearing a shortsword along with two daggers, one curved for dealing maximum internal damage, and the other blade just a normal knightly dagger used for clean wounds to organs such as the eyes and heart. He is about 5 foot 10, and blonde, with bright blue eyes. On his feet he is wearing the latest in footwear from home, the same he wore in his trip through the city with the group.

Rolled 90 (1d100)

The Pasha wears almost no armor on himself - it is summer and it's quite hot outside, so he's showing off his powerful body while managing to display some opulence with the clothing he is wearing. His weapon is a large, thick curved sword - one that a human would be unable to wield with one arm; He has several different daggers on his belt and an odd-looking hat on his head.
He says nothing to the man before him, merely nodding and adjusting his belt for a bit before he grips his sword and steps forward confidently.
>>
Rolled 78 (1d100)

>>1778927
"Such a bejeweled hat... I wonder if there is another chaos emerald contained within that city?"

Nodding back, Lee immediately tries to sidestep the figure, moving around the back as to land his blows there. His main power in this battle is how fast he can go - he is a blue blur to many.
>>
Rolled 48 (1d100)

The Pasha swings his sword twice at Lee, the human being fast enough to dodge to the side and try to go for his enemy's back - unable to land a hit right on Lee with his sword, the orc steps to the side and hits his opponent in the head with an elbow strike before turning to face him properly.
>>
Rolled 87 (1d100)

>>1778941

Wincing from the elbow, Lee pivots away from his enemy, and uses his own blade to go for his enemy's leg - if he can make the giant fall to his knees, his speed should allow for multiple attacks, rapidly.
>>
Rolled 80 (1d100)

Lee manages to dodge the swipe that followed and, while keeping his momentum, cut at the orc's right side, tearing through his baggy pants and leaving a nasty gash at the muscly leg, causing the Pasha to stumble somewhat, grunting in pain.
"Stay where you are! Fight like a man!"
>>
Rolled 75 (1d100)

>>1778970
"This speed morphed me, made me who I am up. Don't you doubt it!"

Lee attempts to dodge any attack made by the Pasha and step somewhat outwards, leaving the orc to stumble.
>>
"Had the fool been smart and poisoned his blade this fight would have been settled with that wound. A shame."
>>
>>1778991
"Not every battle requires such shadowy tactics Feyd. Lee will handle this at his own speed."
>>
Rolled 18 (1d100)

>>1778990
The orc stands his ground, with one of his cuts managing to graze Lee across the left arm. Adopting a defensive posture, the orc's eyes narrow as he studies the movements of his opponent.
>>

>>1779004
"Study me as long as you like, that won't stop me."

I'll move forward now, and cut as hard as I can at the orc's leg again - remove mobility, as fast as I am able to.
>>
Rolled 73 (1d100)

Lee's attack only cut off a part of the orc's legwear, not the limb itself. He in turn tried to swipe at the human unsucessfuly once again.
"If you're so confident, we can fight unarmed!"
>>
Rolled 70 (1d100)

>>1779038
"I'm not confident, I just believe this is what I have to do for my comrades and the Pantheon."

He attempts to cut at the enemy as he tries to take the blade from him, disarming him instead. He can't lose now, not when the commander placed faith in him.
>>
>>1779002
"His speed is impressive, I'll give him that. But if that orc catches him he's finished for."
>>
Rolled 31 (1d100)

In a very odd series of moves, each fighter aims at striking the other with the purpose of disarming him - and both succeed, each losing the grip on their swords at the same time - in a somewhat comedic tumble, the two fighters exchange their swords, with the only damage from it all being a shove from the Pasha.
"This'll do, I guess" the orc looks the sword over for a second before resuming the fight
>>
Rolled 28 (1d100)

>>1779073
"So it shall."

I'll take the brief pause and aim for his sword arm now - if he's got my blade, I just need to remove his way of holding it.
>>
Rolled 56 (1d100)

The exchange of swords is one that favours the orc, however - the Pasha's sword being heavier than what Lee is used to, the human's movements are not as fast as he was hoping. They continue exchanging blows, with a parry here and a dodge there, all the while the Pasha carefully observing distance, speed and power.
"I've got you now!" he suddenly says as he steps forward!
>>
Rolled 96 (1d100)

>>1779098
"NOT YET!," Lee shouts, as he attempts to hold onto the sword whilst pulling out a dagger, sidestepping, and aiming it at the Pasha's gut.
>>
Rolled 80 (1d100)

The Pasha's blow landed on his personal sword, pushing it onto the human - but not before Lee's own dagger had been stuck into the orc's gut. Dropping the bastard sword, the Pasha steps back and clutches his chest with one hand, the dagger still stuck there, as he pulls out his own with his other hand.
"You cur! I'll cut you up and serve you up to the pigs!"
>>
Rolled 98 (1d100)

>>1779124
"The only pig I see here is you!"

Using his sword, I'll cut at the hand he's using the dagger with, forcing him to drop it, and hopefully disabling it. I can't die now, not in front of the Commander and Feyd.
>>
"He's fast!"
>>
With a smooth cut, Lee lops the Pasha's right hand off with the curved sword, then uses his own dagger to cut across the orc's neck - he holds on his feet for another two or three seconds before collapsing.

One hour later, the second in command of the city accepts the terms of surrender we'd offered.

Posting a WIP map and some general updates:
There is tension in Ondalia, with calls for King Salno Ondalan to abdicate or to agree to a change in the system of governance.
Gobbopolian colonies in Ranelirda have been raided by the Tribes of Tornmok, with many settlements being destroyed - the settlers have been pushed to the coast, where the arrival of mercenaries has helped to protect them for the time being.
We're having success on the Zhongi front - Bien-gan is cut off by land and sea and is put under siege and General Tso's area of influence has expanded - what's been noted is the fact that dragons haven't entered any battle in the last few weeks.
The Knights of Juras engaged bandits and remnants of House Redvayne in the mountains near Falkreath - the rebels having pushed the knights off for the time being.

The best news - Petrek has fallen after King Charlion lured many of its defenders out into the open, while the Kragnan forces struck at the city from beneath. Abhinav Singh Al Rao, the Shah of Petrekshan, surrendered to King Ezgielan personally, asking that his people be spared. Apparently, after a long chat with the Paitran King, the Petreki Shah agreed to order all of his subjects to offer no resistance to Pantheonic forces - with a single great victory, one of the nations in the Caliphate has been neutralized as a threat and may even be turned into an ally in this war!
Now for the bad news. While our larger armies fought in and around Petrek, Claudius Vance's garrison of twenty thousand men was attacked by an army coming from the Southern Pass, from Aeldabad - our garrison was utterly defeated, with Claudius taking the difficult decision to retreat west, in order to join up with the closest allied armies. Now a force of undetermined numbers - though in its ranks we have seen elite demonic forces, with the name "Charron" being muttered among some.
Joint Imperial Command is now considering the Badlands Front and Mountains Front united. On the desert front we are incapable of making any offensive maneuvers, Stoman's Gate is where we have the largest force there(other than the elves), which has the goal of preventing any enemy intrusions into the HPE's home territory.
What should we do now? It is the 20th of Stomnis.

A white-banner bearing horseman rides - having passed through our lines, he is unarmed and reaches one of the cavalry groups in the withdrawing army, where he appears to be talking to someone. Our forces are alert for any potential betrayal, but after this short exchange the army keeps moving as normal.

The city is ours now - around twenty thousand men withdrew, the garrison also had thousands more from the city who chose to simply disband and stay with their families. The city's walls are damaged and its outer parts have also seen war.
The city has over two hundred thousand civilians inside - food would have run out within the next week and a half, according to one of the militiamen we asked.
What should we do now?

A most peculiar thing has occured.
Our advance, initially, saw some engagements with enemy forces - successful for us, with no major setbacks to our advance until Chi-raobon, where a large enemy army had massed. With our supply lines being overextended, with all the new territory we'd occupied, we had to put a stop to our advance before the city. Yet, it seems the enemy did not wish to engage us in battle at all, withdrawing whenever possible.
We've heard that General Tso has taken two major cities - Chouzha and Min-qaishan, with a fair number of troops having defected to his side.
The most interesting rumors we've heard from soldiers we captured yesterday say that there is some kind of "Truce" in place, being enforced by the Celestials - at least, these are the most interesting news from the Zhongi front.

Petrekshan has entirely switched sides now, not just allowing access to Pantheonic forces, but pledging its own armies to the overthrow of the Caliphate's rule of the dwarves. The Red Orc Valley is in enemy hands and no scouts that enter it are able to return.
Last, but not least important at all - in fact, this news may be the one that changes the status-quo the most:
In Ranelirda, the Felinkot have banded together and embarked on a Great holy war against the Avorei Empire - this news has reached our shores today, on the 1st of Charodis - which means the war began at the latest in Stomnis.
>>
>>1782916
"Great news! Winning!
Listen up folks. This is a great time for speaking to the Zhongqian court regarding coming to terms, we can finally finish of this charade and move our troops where they can be more useful!
Now, regarding the Petrekfolks, I’ve always said they were our friends, good to have them with us. But the situation in Vance Valley is bad folks, so bad.
The fact is, the demons are not welcome there. They did not immigrate legally. And we need to kick them out!
I already got General Claudius Vance working on that, all our allies there are with him, I promise you folks! We’re gonna smash this Charron fella with the greatest army ever seen in this world!

Regarding the overseas situation. I think it’s about time to inform you all that my investigative efforts have tracked a fair number of Eternian former soldiers and arms shipments to Felinkot lands. No worries, we’ve already warned the Avorei about this. They were so grateful you know! Great guys!
In fact, they’re such great friends of mine that I suggest we send them support!”

General war situation as of the 3rd of Charodis
Zhongi front - 90k Roggarians, 65k Ondalians, High Morale; General Tso has over a hundred thousand men now;

On the Central Front - in the Badlands, we have 23k men of the Imperial Army and 37k from the Royal Roggarian army
The Lursari Grand Army has 85k men.
Supply situation is bearable, morale is decently high.
In the Mountains, King Charlion commands ninety thousand Paitrans, seventy thousand Kragnans and has convinced the Shah to pledge his hundred thousand available forces to our side. Claudius Vance managed to retreat with eight thousand men. The Red Orc Valley is held by enemies of an unknown number and quality.
Stoman's Gate is held by seventy thousand troops from the Anglanorse Army.
Five thousand Minotaurs and ten thousand Anglanorse hold Bloodmist.

The Celestials of Zhongian - the Dragon-Gods of that Empire - have called for a ceasefire in the war and invited representatives of all sides to come together in a meeting under their protection in one of their biggest monasteries.

The group you are part of includes the first wave of Roggarian, Ondalian and Anglanorse representatives - going by ship to Zushun, you are greeted by one of the Celestials of Wind - Sheng Rang, he has met a previous Roggarian mission to Zhongian and is the one appointed to be your escort. He appears to you in his elvish form, followed by some warriors and monks.
"Fair greetings on this day to you, noble enemies." he says with a very slight nod of his head

The Ondalians - represented by two Dukes, Zaltan Serebrin of Zaelaft and Seyline Pougolm of Semport - greet the dragon with bows and courtesies.

The dragon almost seems to smile for a moment.
"By land this journey should take three days - if some of you lack a mount you will be provided with such so we may make good progress."
After finishing the last of your preparations, you leave Zushun and journey - as Sheng Rang said - for three days until you reach the valley.
It is the middle of summer and the common folk in these rural parts are hard at work - you cross a river, pass through fields, forests and hills on your way to Xidasi.
The monastery of Xidasi itself is located up the mountain on the north side of the valley, but since there are more guests on the way your party has been asked to stay in the small town that is the only slightly marketplace in the area.

"It will be no more than three or four days until the monastery opens its gates - take it as time to rest. There will be a climb involved."

You have access to the town and surrounding areas to do as you wish. Sheng Rong is staying at the local shrine - if you wish to speak to him, you may. Otherwise, everyone has one round of freeroaming - rolls are optional, use them if you want to try something you believe will have a degree of difficulty.

"I was requested to give you this by an acquaintance of mine.” he says, handing over a bottle of fine wine, “It is from a young general by the name of Vance, he desired it to be delivered to an earth dragon of unknown name that proved a very formidable and resourceful enemy for him last year.”

General Ma-this shall visit the marketplace, seeking to buy some silk or similar gifts for his wife and dauthers.

Councilor Cháo Chén decides to take a visit to some of the less, respectable parts of the market, seeking either the company of women of less than respectable trades or the purchase of one of those hojojutsu-instruction scrolls.

>>1785102
"A change of circumstances and information that we had, until fairly recently, not been certain of - these are the two main reasons for these peace talks. You will learn more there.
As for the mortal government, our stance on it has always been one of general guidance and intervention when necessary - such as this moment. Some in the ruling circles of Zhongian would gladly use the opportunity of so many foreign representatives coming together here for their own goals, but when we as Celestials have given our word, we keep it. "

The lake's water is pleasantly warm and, naturally, calm. You are able to relax and get a bit of excercise at the same time.
>>1785096
Massages are offered for some coin in one of the taverns - you pay the hostess and are guided to a room smelling of incense where you are given a warm lounging spot to lie down undressed. You are able to tell that it's a cheap incense - it doesn't kick quite like some of the stuff you've encountered over the decades in visits to temples.
The massage itself is performed by the hostess, a middle-aged human lady - it's nice enough and the atmosphere, while not a particularly luxurious one, is relaxing.
>>1785103
A humble shop in the town offers you a great product - a long Zhongi sword, a changdao. The price is steep, but the blade shines bright and the scabbard is quite beautiful, made of laqueured wood and inscribed with various symbols that the merchant tells you are magic runes. With enthusiasm, you buy the sword and go out to test it some time later.
The sword's made of iron - yes, not even steel - and not a particularly strong iron either. The "runes" aren't magical at all and instead read "Xu's second try at making a sword - Celestials help whichever fool buys it"
>>1785120
"For Zarinal? If he comes - which I am not fully certain of - I will pass the gift to him."
Ma-this buys some silk made south of the valley. The price isn't quite what he'd hoped for, but it's a nice enough souvenir. A nagging feeling that sounds a lot like the Trusted Councilor tells him that this was not the best trade deal.
Council Chén finds a pair of women who keep him company, making sure he drinks a lot so that his purse is loosened - no outright theft being commited in the process of this wealth distribution, of course.

You hear of a shop that may sell that kind of stuff. On your way there you see two men exiting - one holding a big sword in a scabbard, a knight from your group if you remember correctly - and the other a young halfling nobleman handing over a number of items to his servants.
You ask the shopkeeper for the cool Akeshizu action scrolls, but he tells you that one of those weigui that just left the shop bought the last of them. It takes you some time to get the translation across and when you go out, both previous customers have left the street.

The first group after ours that we see arriving is a mixed one - it includes Ser Robert Armbrusted from Roggar, The Centaur Third Prince - Nermos Lursarin and a representative of Akeshizu - you hadn't heard of them being invited, though.
You could see numerous dragons flying over you during the three days you spent resting in the town. Now you, together with the newcomers, begin the trek up the mountain.
It's not a very long distance, but the road is not cobbled, with fairly few markings - it's clear enough at least, but it's still a tiring thing for anyone trying to walk up to the monastery - thankfully for you, you're all mounted.
"The path between the town and the monastery is where I learned to walk on two feet when I was younger. Nostalgic memories, certainly." Shen Rong shares with you.

The sun is setting when you reach the monastery complex - it is not one single clump of buildings, but rather several locations linked by steep paths and bridges - or at least most of them. One building is located on a rise that can't be accessed by foot at all.
"Our retreat. A place you can not access on two feet, it was built bit by bit by monks and drakes who could find another way to reach it." the wind dragon says
You are guided to quarters within one of the large complexes in which you will be staying - they are clean, somewhat modest lodgings.
You are able to get some sleep. It's the 23rd of Jurias and you're told you have some free time you can spend in the monastery area. You could go out into the mountain at your own risk as well.

You spent hours meditating - too many hours, actually, as it seems you'd fallen asleep out in the open when heavy rain began to fall - and yet you were so entranced that it couldn't wake you until some monks moved you indoors. You caught a cold from the exposure.
>>1785231
You went out into the wild mountain and almost immediately got lost.
Beldrick had left the water back at the monastery and instead brought all the booze with you. For a while it kept your spirits high, but it certainly didn't help with the pathfinding.
You tried to get Richard to keep watch during the night, but he also fell asleep - you were woken by the rain falling on your faces. After a few minutes you began wondering why your tent - and most of your belongings, for that matter - were missing. The only clue you could find were tracks in the mud - looking a lot like bearpaws. With the changdao as the only weapon(other than a few knives) left on you, you started looking for shelter. Eventually you found a cave where Ma-This and Councilor Chén were staying.

>>1785237

Other than that, cold stares at the Rhoznaxi delegation.

"That it is, Empress Petros. A word in private before the meeting begins?" the Caliph asks, his snakelike face betraying no emotion to any observing.
Taven tries to speak, but a stern look from Empress Kai shuts him up and he merely nods.

Ser Robert will try and see if he could find any ice giants to speak with, he would like to listen to their stories and maybe even hear how a Anglonorse queen managed to subjugate the Ice Giants after the quite violent history the two people had.

"Lord Taven.. tywin? Whitevayne I hear so many things in the courts and balls about you and your family. I must ask how are you?"

I greet the Caliph. "How goes it noble one?"

I Approach the Empress of the Zhongi. "You have a dreadfully lovely kingdom here, Your dragon lords are great guys. Really great especially Zarinal and Krasnogen."

Having met the relevent people I head to a seat. If I see Krasnogen I gesture to him to sit next to me and richard.

The Caliph and Empress return from their private meeting.

>>1785563
You hear the tale of how the Queen brought men and giants together under a promise - an oath - to build a better, united North for both, just as they'd lived together in the days of Ledevlast - the Queen's heir, her Nephew Klovard, was married to a giantess - the mother of the current King of Anglanorse, Melgant Haraldson. All giants who wished to live in greener lands were given the opportunity and assissted in being integrated. Through this tolerant, diplomatic course that the Haraldsons took, the giants have not only been integrated peacefully into the Kingdom, but have also seen a rising percentage of them convert to the Pantheonic faith - though they are overwhelmingly still Old God believers.

>>1785564
The various dignitaries throw odd looks at you. Krasnogen sits next to you, grinning.
"They've got all these Kings and Dukes and whatnot around - and here you are, some random knight with a seat on the round table. Sounds like a fairy tale, doesn't it?"
>>
Shen Rong asks everyone to take their seats so the meeting may begin.
"I've been chosen to act as main speaker on behalf of the Serene Celestials and organizer for this meeting, which is hereby convened."

"The first matter of discussion - one which we will get back to later as well - is the War in Setyrias. The formal declaration of war was issued by Empress Wave Petros of the Holy Pantheonic Empire on the 7th of Stomnis of the year 812, as recorded in the Pantheonic calendar. The war has lasted over two years now and has seen millions perish as both broad sides in the conflict have resorted to barbarism and excess cruelty, oftentimes unnecessary for the advancement of the war. The Pantheonic Alliance holds more territory on Setyrias compared to the beginning of the war, though in Hajatas the Rhoznaxi Caliphate has made up with gains on Kamborash.
While this war was fought, the Akeshisu Empire invaded the Kingdom of Selaven, conquering and vassalizing what was the last remaining Maesreni nation.

We put forth the question to each of the Empires that initiated wars - are you willing to state the goals of and reasoning behind the wars you've declared?"

The Akeshisu representative speaks
"I, Masami Mizura, Daimyo of Meruzare and First Diplomat of His Divine Imperial Majesty, Sayo Akajima, speak on His behalf.
After the unification of the Archipelago, our subsequent conquest of the Karamori islands was prompted by insults our diplomats had suffered and threats made by the heathen self-proclaimed King of those islands. Upon their annexation into our Kingdom we now ruled over more Maesreni than any other nation - and thus, legally laid claim to the title of Maesreni Dominion. All the Maesreni rulers of Akeshisu - such as myself - supported Sayo Akajima's claim, granting it further legitimacy As ruler of the Dominion of the Maesren, Emperor Akajima is owed fealty by Selaven - upon the formal refusal to aknowledge our rightful rule over all sea elves, we retalliated with a swift - and painless, if I may add - invasion of Selaven. A minimal amount of non-military casualties were incurred in the process and the King of Selaven bent the knee as he should."
"The Sunset Sea is now a stable, united region under one rule - the path between Setyrias and Ranelirda is safer than ever because of us - something you honoured rulers will likely be glad of quite soon. "
>>
>>1785753
The Grandmaster leans forward, resting his folded hands on the table. "I do not believe any of that is of relevance to the subject of this meeting, which is the war between the Holy Pantheonic Empire and the worshippers of Anavark, and their allies of which we are guests this day.
However, since you want to address this subject, it would be a fine time for you to make a formal pledge to respect and protect the Pantheonic religion that is the faith of the the conquered."
>>
>>1785699
Empress wave clears her throat before taking a breath before speaking.

"Quite willing, Our first reason for the declaration of war is quite simple. The recent aggresions of the Rhoznaxi on the lands of the Kamborash. Considering our alliance with their people and the threat the Rhoznaxi would be to them this attack on allies of ours couldn't go ignored could it? Secondly I'd have to say it was in our best interests to curb the Rhoznaxi Empire when we had the chance. In our previous war with them we saw not only major attacks and deaths on our side from them but also attacks on our gods. considering the major threat that the Rhoznaxi could be to us when left alone for a long enough period of time we came to the conclusion that this war was in our best interests."

"In our Empire everyone is free to worship as they please - we do not force any one religion over another." the diplomat smirks

>>1785806
Shen Rong nods
"The relevance of this will become apparent soon."
"I ask our Avori guests to speak now - what they will present is the event that, more than any other, led to these talks."

A birdman - his(presumably) exact race hard to determine - stands up and speaks:
"Thank you all for your presence. As you may have heard, the Felinkot of Western Ranelirda have invaded our Empire - the Avorei Empire, which rules most of Eastern Ranelirda. Presently, the war is not in our favour - while our side is more centralized and united, the Felinkot are more numerous, uncompromising and have obtained advanced weapons, armor and training in recent times. Most of the Kingdom of Safolok has likely fallen to their hordes by now.
So why does it concern you all what happens in far-away Ranelirda?"
"I ask this as an open question to all present - what do you know of the Vast - also sometimes refered to as "The Old Ones" - and what is your stance on them?"
>>
>>1785840
"The Vast, a cancerous blight on this world that spread destruction and blight. We have recently informed you that the weapons and training were given by the Caliphate aligned Remnant Dawn."
>>
>>1785840
They are abominations to be purged with unrelenting force is what they are.
>>
>>1785840
"In my 70 years of life, I've never met a creature of the vast. And I believe not nearly any of the roggarian representatives here have."
>>
>>1785840
"They've killed my namesake and hurt our allies - the recently deceased Persephone along with other representatives from around Setyrias held a conference in these lands regarding the Vast, one that you weren't invited to as we were not yet aware of your continent. They're creatures that can consume individuals whole - what of them?"
>>
Stares at the smirking bitch with blatant hatred in his eyes "Indeed, it's a tragedy really. "All our knowledge in the matter points to the theory that the "Old Gods" religion that the Felinkot have is in fact a type of Vast-worship.
The Felinkot believe that the Old Gods and the Vast are, in some way, one and the same - and that the mightier beings of the Vast that are imprisoned across the world must be released for some prophecy to be fullfiled. There are many prophecies of doomsdays and final judgement, the return of the Old Gods and so on."
>>1785872
With an even more worried tone, the Avori speaks:
"If what you speak is true, you may have contributed to that process that has led to the present situation. We know that a Greater Vast One has been loose in the seas for decades now.
What the Felinkot are seeking to do is to release one of the Greater Old Ones - the one imprisoned within our Holy Mountains, in the center of the Avorei Empire. The Triumvirate of Light has kept that being imprisoned for many centuries and now even they, together with the might of our Empire, are feeling pressure.
That is because the Enemy already has several Greater Vast Ones on their side - you may have heard of the Tribes of Tornmok, for instance, the ones who venerate the Earth Titan Tornmok - he is one of their allies."
>>
>>1785937
A look of weariness and resign rises on Nothos' faith. A look as though a man just lost any hope he had in life.

"Troubling."
>>
>>1785937
Calian and Ined have grown sad, and concerned
"Is it possible to stop these Greater Old ones? Do you have any plans to stop them?"
>>
>>1785937
Brother Captain Veum jumps to his feet, bellowing: “THERE IS NO TIME TO BE LOST! BATTLE BROTH…” he is cut of, as both the Grandmaster and Ma-this take hold of him and pull him back into his chair.
>>
>>1785937
"Titans aligned with the Vast? I did not think such a thing was possible... Are they not anti-thesises of each other?"
>>
>>1785937
"In other words you need us to all stop our warring and work together to push the Vast back like in the wars many centuries ago before the storm."
>>
>>1785937
The same look of resign and pain nothos bore was on waves face as well.

"This bodes poorly."
>>
>>1785954
"Well, you see, we have plans that could-"
The birdman stops speaking when he sees Caliph Alzum Zabriz is-Zmeak standing up from his seat.
"You're taking too long to explain something that shouldn't be so hard to understand. I called for this meeting, so let me explain it if you're too chicken to tell these people the truth."
The Avori diplomat nervously looks around before sitting down.
"Yes - the Vast Ones are the Old Gods. Or at least most of them - all but Dark were consumed by the Vast during and leading up to the Storm. They are beings that posess both the memories of themselves as Elemental Gods and The Old Ones from the Vast Beyond. Only the Elemental God Dark has kept himself separate from the Vast of Darkness.
This unholy combination of Vast and Elemental God has allowed these beings to enter a physical vessel - one with great power is required - a Titan. Tornomk most likely IS Earth itself.
The Old One being kept in the "Holy Mountain of Light" is Light himself. That great beast that roams the seas is Water himself.
Some of these Old Ones have already taken physical vessels - such as Water, obviously. Others have been released, but likely have no such vessel.
Light is the only one still fully imprisoned and without a vessel - and, if freed, will be the most powerful one on their side."
>>
>>1786013
"And Dark plans to turn the whole world into a living hell, what does it matter to use, you are as evil as them."
>>
>>1786013
"If you don't mind me asking. Where the Hell is Dark while we're being threatened by these abominations from the great beyond?"
>>
"I... believe the good Duke of Gobbopolis makes a fair point. "
>>
>>1786013
"The duke raises a valid point."
>>
>>1786064
>>1786065
"You and your Pantheon - blinding you to the possibilities. What do you even know of Hell, My creation? You don't understand a thing, neither do your so called Gods. Where you're sitting from it may look like the longest streak of bad luck, but the truth is this game was rigged from the start.
I, Dark, shall finish what was started - I shall wipe out the Vast one way or another, with or without your aid. Call me evil, call me wicked - I know what I want and I know I'll get it done. "
>>
>>1786111
"'So it's you. A pleasure to meet you...Dark."
>>
>>1786111
"So called gods? They have been aiding our nations for generations on end."
>>
>>1786117

"Last chance to take up my offer, Petros." The Snakeman says
>>
>>1786111
"SO tell me, how do you plan to wipe out the vast? Turn it to Hell on earth? How would that solve anything? You can't keep getting away with this."
>>
>>1786111
"So what exactly do you plan to do to stop the Vast?"
>>
*grinding teeth and about to pop a vein
>>
>>1786111
So what would be your masterplan?
How would you combat the Vast and what would come after?
>>
>>1786111
"Fuck you, just fuck you right the ass! Curse you and your whole bloody empire! I hope you die bleeding out on the battlefield as carrion crows rip at your face! This was your plan? To have as crash against you rip apart your empire? To show yourself as the "saviour" of the world? Fuck you and everything you stand for! Fuck you as my people die enslaved across your lands, JUST. FUCK. YOU!"
>>
>>1786121
"You know the answer, Dark."
>>
>>1786132
As if broken from a trance, the representative of the Knights of Juras jump to their feet: "The duke speaks the truth! A curse upon you and all your servants! A thousandfold curses! Were it not for the laws of this meeting I would die trying to slay you right here and now!"
>>
>>1786129
The Sultan of Kovinarg, sitting next to the Caliph, lets out a loud belly laugh
"Efendi, if it bleeds you can kill it. The moment the Vasties decided to put on the Titan's skin they made themselves mortal. The armies of Hell will once again march to face the enemy we were made to fight - and any lackeys that may follow them."
"And as far as lackeys are concerned" Dark now speaks "The biggest one here wears the fancy dress and crown - Wave Petros, servant of the Vast of Water, the one who has taken the Titan Wave as its physical vessel.
This was not so much of a secret anyway, I suppose, not for you 'enlightened' folks"
"And while I'm at it - where are you, "New Gods"? Show yourselves, or have you forfeited all divine rights to me at last?"
>>
>>1786146
Turning to face Wave.
"It’s true! I am sick of playing this charade with you! We have allowed the sickness of the Vast to permeate for too long! You have sold out the HPE to the Vast from the second you took the throne! They should have cut off your head after you came back from the hellhole of an island! You, WAVE PETROS ARE A WHORE AND PUPPET OF THE VAST! The Pantheon as my witness I know this to be true! I swear on Mor and Juras to strike me down where I stand if this be a lie!”

Kogal takes out a book made of browned leather.

"You betrayed your people, my forefathers, and the Pantheon, and for what? So you could serve a god who should be dead? Your child is dead - your husband. Was it all a ploy, huh?

Many people are speaking over each other and the hosts are trying to calm them down a bit.
During a short, most likely accidental break in the talking an aurileni woman - a member of Lord Swiftwood's entourage - stands up to speak.
"To introduce myself by name quickly - I am Magus Mirabella Notaro and in this case I shall speak on behalf of the Pantheon and, in particular, Charodei.
The Caliph - or, to be correct, Dark - has revealed most of his plans openly now. Understandable and respectabe, but the taunt towards our Gods was unnecessary. The Pantheon are the True Gods - not because of succession or even power, but because they are Gods of Good.
Dark wants to take matters into his own hands and take drastic measures to fight an enemy - an enemy that must be fought and defeated, on that we all agree - well, most of us, at least. But demons are not the only way to solve a Vast crisis."
"If you are talking about angels - your angels can solve a Vast 'crisis', but not the Vast problem itself. You can stem the tide, plug the gap - and that is all. You are middlemen, not rulers. To join Hell and the Mortal Plane is the only viable solution."
"The only one you'd like, Dark. You forget another one."
"Heaven? If Heaven were an option, why haven't you done it yet? You thirteen and all your lackeys - you have all the resources you want at your disposal. You either can't or won't."
"The answer is not in Heaven or Hell, it is here on this world. In the hearts and minds of mortals, guided and aided - not ordered around - by immortals."

QM veto a bit, since I didn't think one of the options through much.
What'll happen:
Empress Wave will be tried publicly, back in the HPE
The HPE and Zhongian will sign a truce(which means we'll pull out of it)
The HPE and Rhoznax will negotiate on peace terms
We'll begin preparing to send aid to Ranelirda

All of this will take place in the next thread - either on sunday or monday, most likely.
