Jurou continued to run towards Field 11, munching on the protein bar as he did so. He leapt from rooftop to rooftop, avoiding the crowded city streets below. As he looked over the rooftops, he noticed several other young genin did so along with him. From what he could see, Naruto, Kiba, and Shikamaru all ran across the rooftops, towards the training fields. He could see the familiar green fields ahead of him, and leapt the final jump, landing on the ground with a roll and continuing forward.

The others had already gathered, with the purple haired companion that was with Hayate yesterday. Jurou rushed up, his breathing hard and heavy. "Slept in?" Hayate asked, arms crossed. Jurou nodded, and noticed something. Hayate did not look so good. He was pale, and the dark circles under his eyes and thickened."I never got to introduce her, but this is Yugao. She's going to assist with group training today." He broke into a coughing fit, and Yugao placed a hand on his back. Nisha raised an eyebrow, and turned to Kaku and Jurou.

Once the coughing fit had subsided, Hayate spoke up. "We're going to work on your teamwork when achieving an objective." He produced a picture. It was of an older man, hunched over with his eyes closed. "You're going to capture this man somewhere in the city. The only issue is this is the only information you'll get. Just this picture, and that he is in this village." With that, he dropped the picture, and shunshinned away with Yugao.

Kaku blinked, picking up the picture. "Well then. Guess we should get started. What's the plan?"

"The plan is to case the city, and send up a signal once you find the target." Jurou picked the picture up, studying it, before handing it to Kaku. Nisha rifled through her bag and produced two scrolls. "Unwrap these scrolls, and dip a tiny bit of blood on it, and it will send a firework straight up into the sky. That's the signal." Kaku and Jurou both took a scroll, and the group departed into the city.

Jurou thought that the best place to start looking was the local temple. The target looked as if he was some sort of Priest or clergy, so logic dictated it was the prime location. He walked down the street next to the temple, shooting his eyes into the temple doors when someone who fit the description of his target entering the temple. Bingo. The genin unsealed the scroll, and did the required ritual, setting the scroll in a nearby alley, sending up a flare as he entered the temple.

It was cold on the inside, and lit by torchlight. Incense burned at holders on the sides, filling the air with a smoky haze. The target sat at the far end of the temple chamber, kneeled in prayer. He was just about to approach the target, when he heard a commotion. The door the temple was kicked wide open.. and in rushed Naruto, full of fire, running towards the target.

Jurou simply sat and watched as Naruto ran forward, screaming at the top of his lungs towards the target. Jurou's eyes widened as Naruto was sent flying backwards with a very precise kick to the center of mass, at a speed that no man of the targets age should even possibly be capable of. This just got a lot more difficult. Jurou faded into the crowd, opting to wait for his team to back him up. The target's eyes lingered on the area where Jurou was standing, making him nervous, before he turned back to prayer. Jurou let out a sigh of relief.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Was the shout Jurou heard, before the back of the Temple was set into flames. The voice was instantly recognizable. Sasuke Uchiha. That fucker. Jurou really hoped his team would be here shortly, as the old man sent another flying kick, sending Sasuke flying the same way Naruto did. However, the old man removed any facade he once had, standing up at full height. He was taller than Hayate-sensei, and moved with a sort of.. bored determination. Jurou quickly moved outside, as his team landed out front. A pink-haired kunoichi was tending to Sasuke, leaving Naruto laying in a pile of trash. The target stepped forward, and raised his hand. It looked like he was about to deliver a knockout blow to Sakura, when his hand stopped completely. He seemed.. confused. Jurou looked down, and noticed the trail of shadow leading into the nearby crowd. Shikamaru. Ino and Choji emerged from the crowd, looking particularly delighted at being able to capture the target.

It was about this time that all three groups noticed each other. The tension in the air was almost palpable. Kaku looked at Choji. Ino looked at Sakura. Nisha looked at Naruto. Naruto looked at Jurou. Jurou looked at Shikamaru. The simplest move would cause the entire powderkeg to ignite.

The stand-off continues. Each team shooting each other glances. The old man seems to be waiting, watching the group with a curious eye. Jurou flicks his eyes to his own team. Nisha's fingers are on the latch to her scrolls, and Kaku is cracking his hands in anticipation. Jurou steps forward hands up, trying to create a calm atmosphere.

"Alright, look. It's obvious everyone has an objective with this old man. But there is a slight chance that all of us have different objectives. Let's all make sure that we aren't going to needlessly beat each other senseless.."

Shikamaru sighs, before speaking up. "Our objective is to secure a scroll hidden on the old man's body somewhere. We are to prevent anyone from getting this scroll." He keeps the Shadow Possession Jutsu up. Ino flicks her eyes to Jurou and back to Sasuke. Choji has decided this is a grand time to shove a handful of chips into his mouth. Right after Shikamaru speaks, Sasuke steps forward. "We are to capture him and retrieve the scroll on his person, and bring him back to our training field. So, if you don't mind, I'd like to get this over with."

Jurou curses internally. So much for that plan.

Jurou opens his mouth to speak, but he is interrupted by Naruto rushing forward, his hands moving together in a handsign. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Jurou cursed out loud, leaping backwards from the potential battlefield.

"Partial Expansion Jutsu!" Choji shouts, as his hand begins to grow to a tremendous size, slamming into the ground on top of Naruto's group of freshly spawned clones. Sasuke rushes at Kaku, attempting to deliver a sweepkick to throw him off balance. Kaku has been training enough to know when to dodge that, and delivers a flying punch directly to the smug Uchiha's mouth, sending him sprawling across the ground. Nisha expands her scroll, sliding a bloody finger across the paper.

"Puppet Prison Jutsu" She shouts, to which Jurou raises an eyebrow. That one was new. The scroll puffs into smoke as a larger puppet, resembling an iron maiden, rushes forward towards the Old Man. Shikamaru's eyes widen, as he, and the Old Man, leap backwards out of the way of the puppet. Ino and Sakura duke it out, both of them punching and kicking each other to their hearts content. They seem to enjoy it more than they really should. Jurou looks around at the conflict around him, and...

Jurou shouts to Nisha, causing her head to swivel to him. "Go after Sasuke!" She nods, leaving the teams decisions up to Jurou. Her puppet turns, and rushes towards the Uchiha. Jurou looks to Shikamaru. "You can have the scroll if we get the old man!" Shikamaru nods, but doesn't move out of his jutsu. Jurou turns towards Sasuke, and leaps into the fray.

It's obvious from the state of Kaku that he hasn't fared well against the Uchiha. He is out of breath, and the side of his mouth shows the tinest bit of blood dripping. However, with the added support of Nisha and her puppets, the fight is quickly turning. The addition of Jurou makes Sasuke back off, recounting his options at the moment. Jurou doesn't give him a moment to react, spawning a clone next to him. The clone runs to the opposite side, drawing a practice sword. Jurou does the same, rushing at Sasuke. Kaku comes in from the side, and Nisha from the other side. The puppet swooping in from above.

There is nowhere for Sasuke to run. He simply accepts his fate.

In the next few seconds, Sasuke is detained inside the puppet. Jurou turns to take in the state of the other combatants but..

They're gone.

Naruto lies on the ground, beaten and bloodied. Sakura is nowhere to be seen, and neither are Shikamaru and his team. They cut and run the moment they could. "Damn it!" Nisha shouts, slamming her fist into a nearby wall. "They can't have gotten far. We should chase them!" Kaku suggests, his blood boiling and itching to keep fighting. "I can't keep up with you two, not with my puppet." She shoots Jurou a glance that chilled the blood in his veins. Kaku turns to you, arms crossed.

"Kaku. Knock him out, and we'll move. Nisha, once he's out, dispel the puppet." Jurou states, and Kaku complies. One swift blow to the lower jaw renders the Uchiha unconcious. The puppet disappears in a puff of smoke, and the team leaps off. The logical thought would be to rush towards the location of Shikamaru's teams training field, so that's what Team 11 did. Running along the rooftops, they scanned the city for any sign of Shikamaru and his team. They found it in the form of a discarded chip bag, suspiciously out of the way from any major road or thoroughfare.

They heard a struggle commencing, and the team went to investigate. Jurou spotted it first. Sakura being slammed into a nearby fence, causing the fence to fall over. Shikamaru still holding the Shadow Possession Jutsu, but looking thoroughly exhausted. Ino was standing over Sakura's unconscious body, herself completely out of breath as well. Choji, to his credit, seemed completely fine. Enjoying a brand new bag of chips. The team took cover behind a rooftop ventilation unit, and discussed strategy.

"I think we should just jump them. They're out of breath, and unaware of us. We could easily take them." Kaku said, slamming one fist into an open hand.

"And that risks Shikamaru losing control of the jutsu keeping the Old Man stationary. We can't afford to have him running off like this." Nisha replies, fiddling with a scroll on her belt. "I say we give them a choice. Hand over the target, or we take him by force."

Both teammates turn to you.

Jurou and the team leapt from the top of the building, Jurou creating a clone on the way down. Nisha unravelled a scroll from her belt, screaming "Ninja Art: Ninja Art: Wooden Dummy Manipulation Jutsu!" The scroll puffed into smoke, and a wooden training puppet, with blunt wooden clubs as arms appeared in the air in place of the scroll. The team landed, each splitting off to take a different member of Shikamaru's team. Jurou went after Shikamaru, drawing his wooden training sword. Nisha rushed after Ino, the puppet in tow. Kaku landed in front of Choji, and dropped into a defensive position, waiting for the expansion jutsu to strike.

Jurou swung his sword low, but Shikamaru just stepped backwards. He was good at avoiding responsibility, and that ability transferred to combat. He nearly avoided almost all of Jurou's slashes and strikes, but they were close. Too close for comfort. Every action he did, the Old Man mimicked. The clone went for the Old Man, wrapping his arms around him, in an effort to restrain him. Shikamaru felt this, and was constricted in the same way. Which allowed Jurou and easy strike on his legs, tripping him up, and causing the jutsu to dispel.

Nisha held her hand forward, and the puppet rushed towards Ino. The Yamanaka attempted to leap out of the way of the puppet, but her fatigue from fighting Sakura had caught up to her. She was caught in the shoulder by the club, and it sent her off-balance, causing her to collide with the fence. The puppet didn't advance, but it moved to where Ino couldn't easily make her escape. Nisha turned her eyes to Kaku and Choji.

Choji slammed his expanded arm into the ground, right where Kaku was standing a few moments ago. The taijutsu user flipped away, before rushing in a curved path towards the Akimichi shinobi. Choji slid his arm across the ground, trying to sweep Kaku's legs. Which worked, momentarily. Kaku was sent flying off balance, into a set of bushes, but this gave Nisha enough cover to come from behind Choji, and slam piece of the dummy into the back of his head, sending him into unconsciousness.

Jurou turned to where his clone stood, but it stood there no longer. The Old Man was gone. Instead, there stood a man reading a book. His forehead protector covered one of his eyes, causing his gray hair to be lopsided, leaning off to one side. Kakashi Hatake. He looked up from his book, closing it.

"All teams fail."

As he says that, Asuma, and Hayate come from a nearby alleyway, shaking their heads. It's obvious the two were disappointed.

Jurou helps Shikamaru to his feet, giving him a reaffirming pat on the back as he rushes to Kaku. Much to Jurou's surprise, Kaku is up and walking around. It seems that the training with Lee really paid off. Jurou turns to Hayate, as he walks over to the Team.

"Sensei, how exactly did we fail?" Nisha asks, crossing her arms. It's obvious from the look on her face that she is less than happy. Kaku looks.. like Kaku. It takes a lot to get that boy down. Jurou is neutral. He's curious about the fail, but doesn't want to outwardly show it.

He looked over each and every team member, and a feeling of dread washed over the entire Team. This wouldn't be good. "We're going on a run. How's.. ten miles sound?" Hayate grinned, his arms crossed. Team 11 collectively groaned, but didn't argue. They set off at that moment, running the perimeter of Konoha multiple times. As they ran, the sun would begin to set. The stars came out, and a full moon lit the village up in the pale moonlight. Hayate released the team from the run, leaving them to do as they wished. There were a few hours to kill before Jurou needed to be home.

Jurou and Kaku head off into the city for some good, old fashioned bro time. Meaning, they sit at Kaku's house and do absolutely nothing besides talk and eat. Jurou lays on the roof of Kaku's house, staring up at the moon. Kaku dangles his legs off the side of the building, yawning. "It's amazing, man. I love being a ninja. This is what I was born to do!" Kaku shouts, his voice echoing between the buildings of the city.

Jurou nods, chuckling. His mind wandered to the events of the past few days. Nisha, chakra natures, and the failure. His life had never been this exciting, and he loved it. Even with the failure today, the team still accomplished something. They work really well together. Nisha, though, overshadows the whole team with her sheer utility in a fight. Melee, recon, or support. She manages to fill every role at the same time.

The rest of the night is filled with gossip about relationships, and jabbing at each other about having a thing for Nisha. However, both of the boys seem to react rather strongly to such a jab. Jurou reacting to jabs about Nisha and Ino, but Kaku reacting to jabs about Sakura and Tenten. The topic was quickly dropped once both realized how uncomfortable they were talking about it.

They continued to make small talk for the next few hours, before Jurou made his way home, his eyelids beginning to drop from the exertion today. He barely managed to open his door, let alone crawl up the staircase to his bedroom. He stripped of his armor, and crashed into his bed, letting sleep overtake him.

The next few sessions will go by rather quickly, focusing on D-Rank missions and training. The pace is going to pick up slightly, as the Chunin Exams grows nearer. At some point, we'll have a vote to decide if we're going to enter the exams, or hold it off a year.

Side note, we should learn to do pic related with our sword and wind chakra. Infinity-Range Slash. With our sword, ranged opponents are or primary threats. With this, we can solve that.

We only beat them because of convenient advantages. Most of the time, Jurou and the team just.. wait out a problem, and deal with people once they're exhausted and tired from fighting.

I was actually taking about 12-13 year olds who've been ninjas for a year or less, and taking the test for their first time, beating out ALL their competition of 16+year olds who've been ninjas for years, and have taken the year multiple times, when I said they only beat them because PLOT. Not Team 11.

Other than Oro's plants, I think the oldest of them that reached round 3 was Temari at 14.
