Last time on EDQ, Claw got SWOLE and we're trying to see what our daughter Emilia is like.

You enter Emilia's room quietly, and notice it's absolutely ruined condition, A head of a teddy bear lays on the ground in front of you, and seems like it was ripped off.

...You cautiously step over it, and you turn on a lamp...

You notice that there's green army men all over the place. Plastic ones, practically everywhere.

Some look crushed, melted, impaled, or in one case, suspended on the ceiling fan by some string.

...You don't even know how she got up there.

You carefully make your way through the battleground of whatever this is, until you get to her bedroom, and you open the door carefully...

Inside, the room actually looks a bit better, with less stuff everywhere, and you see your daughter curled up in bed...

The scene in front of you seems... Well, quite surreal. She seemed to have gotten a tiny little table in here, with tea cups put all around it and with unicorn dolls in the seats...

It looks like she does slightly take after her mother, at least in private.

You notice paper drawings of stuff like unicorns, castles, and also other girly stuff.

You of course, begin to experiment on death row prisoners...

There is a tiny bit of a problem.

Dwarves and Minotaurs lack high enough crime rate to even find one criminal among them.

You do however, find the occasional criminal lycanthrope on death row, along with orc.

You of course, make a very good push for clinical trials and minor experimentation, getting many poor volunteers... With these, you'll have to be quite careful, as death or anything explicitly harmful will likely result in clear-cut lawsuits, and likely destroy your PR.

You have about 12 orc volunteers, 2 orcs on death row "volunteers".
You have about 20 elf volunteers, and 1 elf on death row volunteer.
You have about 1 minotaur volunteer.
You have about 3 dwarven volunteers.
You have about 23 lycanthrope volunteers, and 8 on death row "volunteers".
You have 3 half-dragon volunteers, and 1 death row "volunteer"
You have 8 yuan-ti volunteers.

>>
Alright.

16+8=24

You find quite a few old fringe books about medical theory... It helps you a bit, and you learn about some major diseases...

Minotaurs tend to be very, very vulnerable to cow pox, and their American cousins have a crippling vulnerability to smallpox, even vaccines can potentially kill them if not administered carefully. Both are very vulnerable to tuberculosis, and some very rarely suffer from a "typhoid Mary" effect when infected. They're also notable for being quite vulnerable to cancer, having higher rates then most of the population, but remarkably seem to survive it most of the time. They seem however, very durable against most types of diseases, such syphilis, typhus, influenza.

Yuan-Ti are practically non-existent in the academic world, it's likely you'd have to find out where they originate from.

Dwarves are notable for being resistant to almost every disease, but have a crippling addiction to alcohol.

Elves are practically like humans, but seem to be a slight tad less vulnerable to diseases, and live longer then humans.

Lycanthropes are also practically unexplored, but are very vulnerable to typhus usually.

Orcs are resistant to most things, but they're practically unknown outside of Russian writing.

Now... You of course begin to go to all your doctors for their ideas...

Roll me a 1d20+4 for how much you learn.

+3 for continuing to theorize what these races could be vulnerable to...

Something they're regularly exposed to, but poor conditions make them become bombarded by the trillions of what lies on their flesh, or so one scientist thinks
>As the idea of surgery. It's thought that perhaps we could ask a Dragontaur soldier or a half dragon soldier. they are quite fervant for us, and quite hardy. They may not even suffer ill effect from being worked on. The knowledge could be quite helpful as one. Notify the Officers ASAP

Dwarves, while naturally resistant to naturally occuring disease, more than likely still suffer from work and industry related maladies, such as blacklung and popcorn lung. Lycanthropes should be checked for vulnerability to common canine illnesses, such as canine distemper, rabies, canine parvovirus, kennel cough, leptospirosis, and leishmaniasis.
>Shave furred species of the hair on the area surgery is to be performed on before cutting in. Look to veterinary surgeries for ideas on how to get started for lycanthropes and minotaurs. >>
14+12=26

Your doctors note a few things.

Minotaurs uniquely seem immune or at least seem to tough out most human diseases easily, but seem more vulnerable to cattle/bovine based diseases... In fact, it seems that minotaurs do in fact typically get diseases very easily from cattle-based produce, meaning that even if they could eat meat, it's likely that unless it was carefully prepared they could still contract something.

Yuan-ti seem to have an oddly human biological system, as their important organs are in their human half, rather then their snake half.

Elves seem to possess greater reflexes, but poorer memory and usually learn things a bit slower then humans, according to some of your doctors.

Lycanthropes seem to be mostly immune to canine-based diseases, but can come down with rabies rarely, and suffer similar effects. They mostly suffer from human diseases.

Orcs seem to possess unique muscles compared to humans, which tend to build up very fast, but some diseases can cause extreme muscle loss, and also can degrade the body clearly...

Now of course, you move onto cadavers.

...There's only a small few bodies you get, as there aren't too many dead minotaurs, lycanthropes, etc...

You do however, get a better idea of how they work.

Minotaurs seem to possess huge lungs, huge bones, and huge muscles, which is honestly what you were expecting. You do find their brain is quite interesting, and quite large...

The other minotaur body seems interest, that of one who's died of natural causes at 70. It seems that from medical records, most old minotaurs seem to develop Alzheimer's at an alarming rate, along with arthritis, and sometimes low blood pressure.

Interesting.

Orcs seem to remain well up until their 80s, though past that begin to go downhill, usually suffering from dementia and depression.

Elves seem to last up to their 150s, though typically past this end up passing away from heart attacks or simple old age.

Yuan-Ti seem to last until their 120s, at which they seem to also die of old age

Lycanthropes degrade very fast past their 40s, for reasons unknown.

It's not known how long dwarves live, but remarkably, none of their race has had any association with "Alzheimer's", or Dementia, but do have occasional run ins with diabetes.

Alright, just woke up.

You find a relatively minor political issue you can budge your way on through...

There seems to be a bit of controversy between historians and also the bureaucracy. Apparently, some of the bureacracy in the history department has thought up to replace some of the old statues around town with statues of you, and also "rewritting" some the old rulers...

Actions

>Revise a ton. Make other rulers look terrible, evil, and you yourself almost a saint... Wait, revise that, look like a saint. Also, put statues of you. Everywhere.
>Revise a little bit... Maybe make other rulers look bad, and make yourself look amazing... Also, maybe changing a few statues might be good.
>...Eeeh... No need to completely rewrite history. Just have a bunch of words in textbooks about how awesome you are, and also more statues of you is always good... Just don't replace the other statues.
>...You'd rather not revise...

This will effect how indoctrinated the youth gets, by the way.

fffffine... don’t revise history

You decide against revising anything.

The next thing you come across seems to be the beginning use of computers in society, used only really by the very rich and eccentric...

Right now, it seems like it's sparsely used, mostly for simple things such as typing reports... Though it's starting to become a problem as it seems some break apart, and no one really knows how to fix a computer... Let alone how one works.

This has led to a very, very high paying job coming about, of full-time nerds called "programmers" who are getting paid outrageous prices to fix computers...

A few have even been reported to modify some computers to be a bit better, but as far as you know, there's only 2000 computers in Sweden, counting yourself, and a dozen programmers at most...

Your treasurer calculates that this new market can make up to about 100,000$ per computer broken... Not to mention the fact that most programmers are low-skill and just work at home trying to figure out how their computers work.

Actions

>Leave it be, even if their profits sound nice...
>Regulate computers to be fixed by government workers. You don't want the civilians to realize how they work, if only so you and your son can profit off them intensely.
>Nationalize the programmers. They can work for you, and you can get their profits... Their nice, nice profits. Plus, they might be able to help you research computers.

I should probably mention, do anons want to charge for this or no?

Plus, do you want to outright ban civilians to fix computers, ban modifying them, or anything like that?
>>
>>1922787

>Regulate computers to be fixed by government workers. You don't want the civilians to realize how they work, if only so you and your son can profit off them intensely.
And hire the nerds to help you research computers as well.
>>

>Plus, do you want to outright ban civilians to fix computers, ban modifying them, or anything like that?

No, but neither should the average civilian be incentivized to learn.

You decide to hire the nerds, and regulate computers to be fixed by government workers.

Of course, finally, this brings to light the other use of the internet...

Some of your cabinet and military officers seem worried that the Internet could potentially serve subversive interests very well, and they suggest clamping down on it before anything happens..

What do you want to do?

>Don't. You aren't going to violate their privacy.
>...Do a little bit, put keyloggers and other things on any "would-be" subversive websites.
>...Hire some people to monitor the internet and flag down sites you don't like.
>...See if you can track where people use their computers from... It could be very useful.

In before proto-4chan is brought down because of the ideas expressed on proto-b and proto-pol.

You decide to settle for a little bit of tracking.

Meanwhile, as Elizabeth...

Roll me a 1d20+5 for how well you've been doing in Russia!

+3 for PR campaign ideas!
+2 for also taking advantage of your public charity in Greece to your advantage!

Elizabeth seems to be doing very well in Russia, and seems to have gotten to around 48% of the popular vote...

Though it seems like the clergy aren't exactly with her, due to her not being Orthodox, and her Anglican faith, and seeming to side with the previous candidate more... Along with Elizabeth's "past" with beauty, so to speak, making them not exactly speak kind words to their congregation.

This has caused the more religious parts of the right wing to second guess... But, seeing as how most of the newly religious right wing is young currently, it might effect popularity if she does win...

You decide to be more morally upstanding.

What do you want to do to appear more pious anons?

>...Donations! People love donations, don't they? Besides, you can always just dig up some gold... Your gold... Your precious, precious gold...

>Instead of continuing to help Renexisnacks, and thus her and Ren's shared bottom line, she entertained the idea of forming her own competing snackline for her own exclusive benefit.
>>
>>1924259
Liz can't help but think about how she gave most of the navy for free, and gave her husband literal control over the most strong navy in India...

She also thinks about how it was a "heat of the moment" thought, and how she didn't actually do it... Even if she might of made far more profits... Even if she would of even made a single dime... She doesn't exactly make much off it, honestly.

Your going to need something more concrete anons.
>>
>>1924228
>you know Liz, you could just be a good Christian and not hoard wealth and petty material possessions
>>
>>1924315

>That time she stole a safe as a drow from a store during a scene of utter chaos and confusion.
>Wants more and more children, and wanted them to stay younger and cuter for longer, to the point where she had herself mutated to ensure it, instead of allowing her children to develop as naturally intended.
>>
...She does briefly ponder the first point, but can't help but think how she simply would actually like to be a mother to her kids... Even if she's often very busy...

...She eventually decides to maybe try to be a bit less possessive...

Roll me a 1d20+1 for how well Elizabeth can manage to do this.

+3 if you can find a way to get Elizabeth separated from her gold for a while...
+2 if Elizabeth can find something productive to do, and try to not think about her money, nation, or any of her personal belongings.
+1 for wishing Renexizious would at least try to be a better person... Elizabeth is trying her best at least.
+1 for also trying to cover up her beauty. It's a bit too easy to manipulate people with it, and therefor too tempting...

Roll me a 1d20-4 to see if anons can attempt to resist this...

+2 for attempting to get Elizabeth's mind off money, gold, and stocks...
+2 for maybe trying to look after the kids or do something special for Ren...
+1 for trying to think how useful this is, and how you really are a bit greedy!

Elizabeth eventually falls to temptation, and ends up unable to break the lure of gold... She eventually gets caught by Renexizious and Charlemagne after stealing her own safe and taking it to her bed... And sleeping next to it, somewhat worried about it.,,

You haven't lost any greed at all anons, but nothing else has happened.

Do anons want to continue to try to stop Elizabeth's greed? Do note, that continuing to do it may have consquences from withdrawl.
