The Raiders – Part 32

You were aware that Yzia had feelings for you. You were certainly appreciative of her desire for you, and that being called 'treasure' was not a mere affectation but a sign of how much she thought of you as hers. The fact that she sees your Cadre as something she is more an owner or keeper of than a member of is equally understandable.

The fact that her affection for you can induce outrage on a scale of genocide and possible apocalyptic extinction level event for the temerity of your arm being bruised by an enemy somehow escaped your notice.

In passing she had mentioned that her kind managed a form op growth beyond mere aging in the astral plane some time ago. This too seems to have been demonstrated for you, as she has grown from being a mere adult into what passes for an ancient dragon, a gargantuan and potent creature that certainly eclipses that which you arrived in this material plane with. You suspect that your connection with her, combined with the elder power and her potent rage, has added to her body the growth that life in the Astral Plane had suppressed, centuries of life erupting through her body in an instant.

It was a thing of glory and beauty to see, but has also caused some significant trouble. Her alien aura has blinded all of the younger and less powerful members of your Cadre (Yashi might not be young, but she has sacrificed much of her potential power on the altar of survival), in addition to the six surviving elves. Tzanzi and Falna are the only two who retain their sight aside from you, and you suspect that it was more their strength and resilience rather than their luck which protected them, while your connection to Yzia and the Elder Power protected you.

Dropping the savaged corpse of the wizard whom suffered the dragon breath you unleashed, and looks at Yzia with undisguised awe. Falna, on the other hand, has rushed to Schechei's side, and is checking her eyes for damage. You, in the meantime, are pressed against the wall and looking down the deep and smoking pit that Yzia's breath has excavated through the center of the world tree as she drops the arms which are all that remain of the druid whom had taken the form of a massive carnivorous plant which has bitten your own arm – seconds before Yzia reduced it to a seared carcass.

Well, two pieces of one, anyways – half an arm and a shoulder and an arm are hardly a carcass.
>>
There is now a forty-pace deep hole that is nearly straight down the shuddering tree trunk of the elven Home Tree, and you can see a number of chambers. There are also two elves at the bottom of that pit, one a burned corpse and the other injured; the latter is now looking up at the sides of the vast opening in horror.

This could become exceedingly complicated very quickly, but you might have a unique opportunity as well.

[] Control your subordinates and ensure they don't panic before anything else. Roll 1d20+20 for Diplomacy, or 1d20+23 for Intimidate.
[] Those survivors are on par with you or Tzanzi, and they need to be eliminated at once – fly down and beat them senseless.
[] Displacement will help give you an edge in the combat that will occur momentarily, and see if you can calm Yzia down.
[] A Chained Fire will help eliminate the two elves at the bottom of the pit hopefully, and probably give anyone else nearby fits. Roll 16d6
[] Time to change Siobhan to a more lethal mode of combat and prepare to defend your blinded allies – they will be blind for some time.
[] Write in?

>40 paces is 120'.

>As a side note, in the previous session I miswrote "Falna" for "Tzanzi" in a few instances in the first three posts. Tzanzi uses claws and teeth to kill, and snatched the arrow out of the air, not Falna. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Falna is still nearly as deadly as Tzanzi, however, so do not presume this makes her any less a threat.[/spoiler[

Akko, like all her kind, has a measure of psychic ability. She will simply use most of these powers without prompting, instinctively, when appropriate. Her spells are another matter.
>She is a high ranking Gish, and may give orders to low ranking Knights; mid-ranked Warriors; high ranking Spellcasters, Skulkers, and Murderers; and any Gish lower ranked than herself.
>True Silver Sword: Siobhan
Siobhan offers her opinions and advice on matters when a vote is called for, drawing on Akko's potent intellect and voicing subconscious thoughts for her to consider.
>Current Spell Selection
Slaver Set Enhanced (Marauder) – heavy subdual and mass combat, moderate utility, moderate defense/buffs + a few really destructive spells.

>Current Cadre:
Yzia:Yzia: Mythic Solar Dragon, lover and companion. She may carry Akko and five others.
Falna: Mid-ranked Warrior (Unstable position); Class:Slayer, bound by Oath.
>Silver Sword: Malnae
Yashi: High-ranked Illusionist (Your Spellcaster); Class: Illusionist Wizard, Bound by Oath.
>notSilver Sword: Fehr Vaed
Tzanzi: High-ranked Murderer (First in Command); Class: Pureblade Slayer, Bound by Oath and Friendship.
Auena: Mid-ranked Gish (Yzia's new quarry); Class: Psychic Warrior, Bound by Oath.
Schechei:: Mid-ranked Gish (mated to Falna); Class: Magus, Bound by Oath
>Silver Sword: Tiagothe
Kteine: Mid-ranked Gish (your adoptive daughter and acolyte); Class: Psychic Warrior, bound by Oath
>Silver Sword: Achris

>Akko's Current Supreme Leader
Dunzamn, a Lord Knight with a True Silver Sword (Voorsi), leader of the Raid upon the Elven and Human Kingdoms of Iridaiya and Boggsteading, respectively.
>His dragon companion Jacinth, whose true name is an unknown, and is an ancient creature.

[X] Displacement will help give you an edge in the combat that will occur momentarily, and see if you can calm Yzia down.
[X] Control your subordinates and ensure they don't panic before anything else. Diplomacy: 29
[X] Write in? Safety of your Cadre first, all else is secondary.

Remain calm. The effect will pass. It is important that none of you move away from where you are as there is a very deep pit nearby with living elves at the bottom. Your mental voice overrides their instinctive panic, but the babble of their telepathic thought sis intense. Falna is still trying to reassure Schechei; you are impressed by the fact that Kteine, though blind, is still in heated combat with her foe, who is equally blind. Achris, her Silver Sword, is apparently assisting her in her combat, but the elven warrior – who has dropped his bow and is using a wicked looking dagger instead – has landed a couple of blows that are more than superficial though he's taken worse himself. Auena is clearly activating a power, a golden aura slowly expanding from her form and encompassing a large area around her. Yashi reaches carefully for Auena, and concentrates on a spell of her own – undoubtedly calling her Prying Eyes back to her.

Tzanzi glances around and then looks to you, silently asking for instruction on what you would like her to do, since she is 'deaf' your telepathy. With a snarl Yzia flexes her sleek, smooth body, and the golden veins of fire that roam the surface of her scales pulse, sending a wave of shimmering, ephemeral flame through the halls and down the pit. The elves reel under its effects and you can see their flesh bubble and slough in patches, their hair curling and their eyes bulging as they gasp and writhe in agony. You're grateful that the effect is limited to thee elves – Yzia's healing aura was not so refined before, but she seems to have acquired greater skill....and a much deadlier power.

You hiss in annoyance at the relatively ineffective attempt to control your allies' panic (specifically Falna – everyone else is doing well) and invoke the spell of Displacement, understanding it is only a matter of moments before someone other than the elves here comes after you. The two down in the pit are the most worrisome, but you have more immediate concerns. You gesture to Tzanzi after completing your spell, indicating she should eliminate any living elves, starting with Kteine's enemy.

Tzanzi clicks sharply at Kteine and the young gish drops Achris, grabbing her foe and falling onto her back. It earns her a stab in the gut, but her armor turns the blade, though the impact probably hurt badly. Tzanzi grabs the blind elf by the throat and squeezes; not to choke, but to gouge. The hot spray of thick red liquid that spatters across Kteine's armor and face is gratifying.

Yzia – I am well and fine. Be careful; you have injured almost the entirety of our Cadre, and they are blind. She lashes her tail angrily as you move over and rest a hand upon her side, which heaves slowly.

I have every intention of fulfilling my oath, Akko.... she warns you, and it takes you a moment to realize that she means the Compact, not the genocide. Not that you wouldn't be fascinated by the death of an entire world at the hands of your lover, but that is a project for later perhaps.

You lean against her, pressing your cheek to her hot flesh, smiling. And so you have, in great measures. But we must be wary, for you have opened up an avenue of attack that is not under our control.

It is without embarrassment or shame that she acknowledges what you have said, her ego just as powerful a thing as always. The wails and screams of the elves are not only irritating, they are an alert, and you need to do something quickly.

[] Give Falna a very minor Ego Whipping to get her attention off of her mate and into the fray.
[] Slaughter the blinded elves here; you don't need them causing more trouble when you have more powerful enemies on the way.
[] Chains of Fire should kill every living elf here with ease. Roll 17d6

It's an innate ability, rather than a spell; all Githyanki have the capacity for it, as well as innate defenses agaisnt it. As a Leader, Akko has the power of life and death over her whole cadre, though this doesn't mean you are incorrect about her turning on you.

The rolls are in case that is a winning vote.
>>
>>1901557
Eh, it seems like she passed her save, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad since it doesn't seemthat bad, if she only got dealt 1d4/2 charisma damage and isn't dazed.
I don't know, if that's really enough to make her snap right now, then I'm not sure she's really worth it.
>>
>>1901573

She's in full panic mode because she think her beloved is going to die. Attacking her right now has every reason to make her snap.

And if we kill her, not only we loses everything she owes us, but we lose Scheshei at 100% and in consequence probably Kteine too.

We haven't given them all those things to waste them the first fight that's a bit more than a walk in the park

>>

Actualyl, the version Akko uses inflicts a -2 penalty to charisma (because she does not think it will cause any harm to injure Falna's ego as opposed to her will or her intellect) and stagger her, but with a save no ill effects are suffered at all.

However, that is an aside, as the votes are reduced to not using that ability.

[X] Fly down and deal with the two elves in the pit. Roll 2d20
[X] Write in? Do not make my prophetic statements of the liabilities of love true, Falna.

You worthless bitch, do your duty, not your fuck toy! Your privately sent command is accompanied by your desire for her to slaughter the elves, something Tzanzi is already working on. Their blindness is a liability, but not completely incapacitating; they are defending themselves viciously and their skills are respectable, as is their stamina.

She jerks, your anger and thought-felt threats enough to snap her out of her panic. She grabs Malnae and goes to work slaughtering the enemy as Tzanzi does, her rage and hatred almost that of a berserker, though slightly more focused.

Before you can turn your full attention to the elves within the pit, Yashi's calm, urgent sending causes you to pause. Akko. There is an entry to a crèche of young elvenkind in thee pit. There are some warriors shoring up defenses and a very large alien Beast there; I suspect it is an eidolon, though I did not perceive its master. You prompt her for more information, and she responds readily, showing you what she has 'seen' through the Prying Eye.

A group if not-quite fully grown and entirely naked elven childer (calling the so because they are more developed than ferals in your/her opinion) are being herded to the far side of a chamber which was at one time larger. The elves there number but three, but they are most certainly of the highest echelon of elvish warriors and masters: their weapons bear power, and their armors are of the finest make and undoubtedly enchanted, even if it is obvious only in one case. A powerful malle looks down the pit at his companions calling to them a mere ten paces away; a tall, elegant wizard, a femme who is clearly acting like she is in charge; and a delicate elven femme who looks haunted, her eyes seething with energies of an alien sort, and whose mode of dress is strangely unassuming in comparison to the rest. A sorceress, Leader. The two at the bottom of the pit are clearly part of this group as well.

Auena's thought further reassures you, though. I am capable of combat, Akko – I can 'see' effectively, including that which is invisible to the eye.

Maintain your vigilance over Yashi. She is your priority. She acknowledges, but asserts that she will help defend the others as well, if there is an issue that occurs to require it. Granting her that leeway, you turn your attention to one other.

Yzia turns to you, assuming a vibrantly githyanki form, her hair long and pale, her eyes a deep, dazzling violet. Decorously clothed by Siobhan, of course, unprompted and most likely unnecessary. She lifts her hands and golden radiance surrounds you and yours, healing you of your minor injuries, and restoring Kteine and Schechei's injuries to an extent.

[] Ask her for her assistance.

[X] Inform her of your plan and let her chose unasked.

I must take the fight to the true threat before they gather their wits and come to us, my love. The work here can be done by the others. The thoughts are accompanied by your deep, earnest admiration and desire – something that you can feel without becoming a mindless dolt like Falna – and the exultation of Siobhan's glee at the coming battle, a true challenge for her to indulge in.

Without waiting for an answer or thought, you turn and leap into the pit, your multitude of still active spells turning the flight into a headlong charge at ludicrous speed.

The warrior at the bottom of a the pit kneels over his fallen companion, his palm against the burned and broken figure's chest. The obvious breaks heal and the figure stirs slowly, raised to consciousness by the healing power of the priest that remains ignorant of your presence. The shout of warning from those who protect the crèche is too late – you drive Siobhan into his armor and him to the floor as you land with enough force to have killed a lesser warrior.

Siobhan's song erupts, the loud, vibrant voice inhuman in its melodic complexity as she sings of death, destruction, and doom to those who stand before you. He rolls away and gets to his feet, and you hammer him back, using both hands to drive Siobhan up under his ribs, into his solar plexus. Though she is not particularly lethal at the moment, it is very clear this is no youth, no delicate warrior; the magics of Spell Resistance, True Sight, greater Celestial Healing, Caustic Blood, and Divine Power tell you he is a very powerful servant of his deity, perhaps one of the most powerful here. Despite that, he is badly shaken by your hideous strength and Siobhan's song; he coughs up bright red blood, his ribs broken and at least a punctured lung from your massive blows.

If you had allowed Siobhan to retain her edge, you would have undoubtedly regretted those blows; Caustic Blood is a very unpleasant spell.

He retaliates at once, his massive two handed sword moving with as much ease as you wield Siobhan. You dance past his first blow, but his second connects hard, tearing a gash in your armor and biting into your shoulder. Blood flows freely, but it is not as deadly a wound as he had hoped and you angrily slap his blade off to the side as he whirls it down, up and overhead in a follow-up. He stares at you in shock, the lucky blow more irritating than anything else, despite the pain it causes you.

[] Beat him to death, before filling the pit with a Cloud Kill to finish off his companion and anyone you decide to toss inside later. Roll 4d20 This will use 3 points of Akko's Arcane Pool.

You slash out with one hand, gestures for the spell that you cast. Your defenses are too good; he snarls an epithet you actually don't know in elvish as she tries to find a way through them. You lash out, but the spell is blasted away from Siobhan by his Spell Resistance. much more potent than your own.

That does not stop you from crushing his arm against his side and making him scream in agony as you shatter the bones. Nor does it stop you from sweeping Siobhan up and around to break his collarbone and stave in his pauldron in a mirror of what he had done to you. Unlike him, your follow up is much more brutal: you bring your blade up and to the side and crush his skull in from the side, only to swing through and repeat the blow, spattering his head across the still smoking wall of the pit.

“I beg for parley!” the shivering femme on the floor of the pit cries out in your native tongue, bits of brain and spatters of blood decorating her dark leathers. As her companions dead body collapses, she stares at you, her heaven looking daggers left on the ground where they lay and her breasts heaving as she begins to hyperventilate in terror.

Catlike Yzia lands next to you, standing up and looking down at the elf-woman, licking her spurts in delight. Well, she might make something nice to feed Tzanzi.... The elf quails, trying to scoot further back from the githyanki-formed dragon, the image of Tzanzi and Yzia eating her incredibly vivid.

[X] Pick her up and ask her what she can possibly offer you that would be of any value to you. 51, 48, 37, 34, 51=average 44.

You are on her before she can react, and her leather vest creaks as you crush the material in your hand, Siobhan seething viciously at your side. “A civilized tongue you may have, but I sincerely doubt that you can be enough of a threat to me to be considered worthy of parley. There is little that a lone elf could offer to me that I could not take.”

She grabs your wrist in both of her hands to help support herself, allowing her to choke out in a guttural voice, “Two weapon-weight of cut emeralds and my half-elven son as a slave!” you blink, and lower her lightly, looking at her with curiosity. “Such a fortune, and a slave of your blood besides? That speaks to me of subterfuge.”

Yzia chuckles softly. “Have you ever even kept a male slave, Akko?”

“....Now that I think on it, no, I have never had a male slave, or kept one either. I have no use for such. The only males I have had are githyanki, and most of those under orders by Her Majesty.” Yzia chuckles softly and wraps her arms about your neck from behind, looking up at the barely struggling elf-woman. The femme squirms in your grasp, but wisely doesn't try and pull a hidden weapon or kick you. A soft noise catches your attention, and you resist the urge to turn and look as you feel the wind of passage from the invisible and shockingly silent assault passing through the image of you.

You glance back as Yzia whirls and catches nothing out of the air, and slams it against the wall. She hisses sibilant words of power, and a multitude of head and tails appear out out of nothingness, a nightmare abomination of hydra and snake made of glistening black flesh and glowing violet. The glowing eye-like symbol over it's central and largest head is what gives it away though – the eidolon of the elven summoner in the chamber above you. Not really surprising; it took them long enough to decide to mount an assault.

The surprisingly voluptuous githyanki that Yzia is impersonating pins the huge monster against the wall with some effort, keeping it at bay with surprising ease for her stature. What exactly is it that we are doing now, Akko? I really do not think this is the time to be playing with my food.
>>
We are stalling for time, beloved Yzia. Her startled reaction is amusing but not particularly surprising. For your part you slam the elven woman into the wall, and she grunts, her body going into spasm from the brutal treatment. These are not the weaklings we have fought so far, and half of our Cadre is blind. We can keep these off balance long enough to buy time for Yashi to recover, and she can take the others and escape, or they can join us in battle. Either way we buy them time.

The skulker gasps heavily and reaches into a pouch at her side, and pulls out a handful of glittering gems in shades of emerald and shadow. She spills many to the ground, but the message is clear: she carries the promised prize upon her belt. “T-t-two w-weapon wei-ght....and th-three fingers of....of my h-hand....” Enough flesh for a Clone spell.

[] Done. Take your prizes and then render her unconscious.
[] Take the pouch then ask about the elven childer in the crèche above.
[] Drop her and accept the gift, then render her unconscious.
[] Inflict a Mythic Maximized Molten Orb on the beast behind you, then beat the femme unconscious. Roll 5d20.
[] Accept, then have Siobhan Bind the femme, then use a Quickened Greater Infernal Healing on yourself, followed by a Rigor Mortis imbued spell-strike on the eidolon, followed up by an attack on it. Roll 2d20.

>>
>>1901768

That's literally a waste of money. The clone spell doesn't work by making an autonomous copy nor a flesh drone
>>
>>1901773
They can be used for housing outsiders.
>>
>>1901764
There are many things that could be done with a Clone.

Not least of which would be crafting a Helm of Opposite Alignment and internalizing it to the flesh doll.

Given the nature of the conflict raging in the area it is likely that this pretty little skulker will die, and we will gain a powerful tool.

It's interesting if nothing else. And these elves are of a level to be a serious threat and therefore no small prize.

Well if Siobhan likes her there's no helping it

I feel like we may spoil her a little too much.

Akko is reasonable, when needed. It makes her significantly more dangerous than your typical high-level Githyanki.

Pouring on the hurt.
>>
>>1901797
Perhaps not, but it's an interesting experiment. Much more so if the Elf in question were capable of things the average Githyanki found difficult. Skulkers are relatively plentiful, but healing and restoration magic are quite rare.

A LE slave with those abilities could net Akko no small number of favors and wealth.

Of course it treads close to some taboo subjects, and therefore may not be desirable.
>>
>>1901799
Well, depends on who's in danger. Gor mooks like this one, a sadist or indiscriminate murderer would probably be more dangerous to run into!

Ouch.

[X] Combining.

It is a very interesting deal. We will have to discuss it later and in much more detail.[ You sink Siobhan several inches into the wood of the Home Tree and then cast the Maximized molten Orb, one you have enhanced even further with your understanding of magic and power. True to her word, she does not interrupt of trouble you as you incant the spell, despite every opportunity to do so. You fling your hand backwards and the beast shrieks in agony as the shining orb of boiling metal splashes across it's body, the metal remaining molten and searing into its flesh.

Yzia blinks the dripping brass out of her eyes and casually licks it away from her lips, the metal still just as hot, but utterly harmless to her, though apparently tasty. She pulls the monster away from the wall and slams it back into the wall, her fingers tearing massive gouges into the slick black flesh, which seep a violet ichor. She grins and wash of that deadly radiance erupts from around her, making the creature shriek even louder and eliciting cries of dismay from the elves above you.

You look at the femme and squeeze, choking off her breath and her blood, and she struggles, but only for a moment. Siobhan tells you when you cease, and you do so on her command, dropping the unconscious elven woman to the bottom of the pit. Then you quickly cast Greater Infernal Healing upon yourself, smearing a precious droplet of Devil's Blood across you lips. Make sure our pretty rebel is all bound up, Siobhan, I would hate to lose her to an overzealous Cadre member or her regained consciousness.

Siobhan sings softly to you, promising blood, flesh, pretty gems, and lovely slaves, like some corrupting temptress forged of metal. Of course, those are all things you intend on having anyways. She also obediently binds the woman where she lays in sheets of gleaming crystal, entirely encasing her. You trust that your blade won't allow her to suffocate; that would be unfortunate, if amusing. At last, you channel the Rigor Mortis spell into your deadly blade, and leap into the air, slashing and hewing at the monstrous creatures faces and limbs while in flight. Though, the limbs also seem to have faces, so you're not quite sure where you were going with that.

That's four hits with a nonlethal weapogn that does 4d8+2d6+37 per hit. The extra d6's were int he previous roll.

And finally, intimidate. With scary dragon bonus.
>>
Well, the Summoner is probably going to kill the childers, right now
>>
Between Yzia's cruel strength and your lightning quick and monstrously powerful assault, you beat the monster into unconsciousness in seconds, allowing Yzia to tear the largest head from the neck. You hear a gasp of anguished pain from above you, and grin, quickly rising to the level of the opening.

Sure enough arrows and spears are launched, one even turning into a bolt of lightning which your sweet little Yashi's spells dissipate entirely. Floating unharmed, you see about a dozen elven childer, and the four – not three as Yashi saw – remaining elves at the entrance, the summoner on his knees and breathing heavily, his glowing sigil extinguished by the temporary death of his minion. “It would behoove you all to surrender....unless you wish to die like all who have come before me.” The steely expression on the face of the warrior and the fearful glance back the wizard give to her young, helpless charges tells you all you need to know. The sorceress merely smiles, her mouth aglow with the same eerie light as her eyes and traces her hair and fingers.

Then Yzia, once more in dragon form, lifts her head behind you, liquid fire dripping from her half open maw as she hisses. The childer-elves collapse, rubbing their eyes and curling up in atavistic reaction to their blindness. The other four....only one is blinded, the sorceress, who makes a soft whimpering sound as sibilant words of a language not even you recognize spill from her lips in a seemingly unthinking litany. Which is not necessarily bad, as it will make her castings more difficult.

The wizard looks at you, and to her malle companion's shock speaks words you never thought you'd hear. “What promise do you give for their safety?

You bare your spurs in a grin full of malice and pleasure.

>To Be Continued....
>>
>>1901836
I suppose a full surrender is too much to hope for, but even so we've surely made great progress. Thanks for running!
>>
Akko will operate on the assumption that one of the three who can effectively act will attempt murder of the childer. She will also see if she can figure out what the sorceress elf is casting. If no one tries to kill the childer, she'll bargain in fairly good faith - unless she suspects betrayal of some sort.

Things are on a very delicate balance, so there will be more details and things Akko will know to be written in the beginning of next adventure; her Arcane Sight will reveal spells and defenses, while Yzia may have insights to share. Every moment counts down to when her cadre becomes functional once again; with Yashi, Schechei and Kteine being blind, though Auena is functional, Akko is literally stalling for every bit of time she can.

And since this is in fact a boss-level fight, every bit of play knowledge must be given in good faith, hence my stopping point.

Thank you for Reading and Playing.

PS: Culturally, the offer of fingers is a sign of a bargain in good faith, an offering of enough flesh for a clone spell, meaning the bargainer is willing to place their soul in your charge should they die to ensure payment of the debt. Githyanki rarely actually take the fingers in question, but Akko is a little atypical.
>>
>>1901836
Was awesome, thanks XS.

Feeding Tzanzi and Yzia would make a great scene later?
>>
>>1901836
Thanks for running! Sucks that friendly fire managed to incapacitate most of our party, but Akko did a good job rallying and I don't think we were too imprudent with our spells.

...That sorceress seems like she might have made a series of poor decisions in her life, but maybe it's working for her.
>>
>>1901847
That's a neat arcane tradition with the clone spell, I really like these worldbuilding details you sprinkle in
>>
>>1901849
Depends on whom you plan on feeding to them, I suppose.

>>1901851
Akko has enough arcane power left to recast/quick learn up to 3 6th level spells, and has plenty of open slots to use with her Mage Strike ability. She also has several save or lose and massive damage spells left, so I would say she is capable of putting up a hell of a fight, even agaisnt these odds.

In all reality, she's the boss fight for the high level adventuring party of elves.

Permanent blindness?

>>1901847

Thanks for running!

>>1901856

We need a neat dungeon for ourself.

Man, those elves must be cursing their DM for that fight.
>>
>>1901856
Dead God's Blood, they have practically given us a custom reason to stall.

Which of course means they're stalling too. Not surprising seeing as their summoner is inconvenienced by his Eidolon's defeat and their Sorceress is blinded. But he will recover and can summon things other than his eidolon, and we don't know how disabled the blind sorceress is.

Tzanzi, Falna, Auena, Akko, and Yzia are all combat capable, even if Falna suffers from the Flaming Retard Status ailment.

It's a bit disappointing that the rest of the cadre was caught off guard. But at least one of the twins has blind fighting.

We might wish to forgoe parlay and skip straight to the violence. Then again I am curious to see where this goes. Maybe we should just openly acknowledge that both parties are stalling for time?

It's all very interesting. To say the least.

Not Permanent, it's the more typical solar Dragon effect. (No expenditure of mythic power to overcharge the blinding ability). On the other hand 5d6 rounds of blindness is still very bad, as your cadre can attest (yes, I am keeping track).

She might object to the disrespect, but not the term.

>>
>>1904470
How much of that "worse by far" was other githyanki?

how much was Falna?
>>
>>1905186

Most of it was by other githyanki, who were either given good cause to either call her those things, or even better reasons to retract their statements after having done so.

Falna has never called Akko names publicly.
>>
>>1907381
>Falna has never called Akko names publicly.
How dignified of her.
>>
>>1907381
and privately?
>>
>>1907406
Well, let's just say that she'd qualify for one of those scenarios where she'd regret the things she might have said, shall we?
>>
>>1907511
Hmmm. The more we learn the less I like this situation. I've been hoping for amicable separation post-raid. That seems more and more unlikely. But, I don't see a way to weld Falna more fully to Akko without absolutely brutalizing her pride and ego.

Perhaps Schechei and Kteine are better vectors for reconciliation than a direct approach from Akko or Falna. Time will tell.
>>
>>1907549
If it helps, this is not nearly a unique situattion. Githyanki tend to be assholes in general, even to one another, so it's not rare for two who do not like each other to hook up as part of a cadre to accomplish some far reaching goal that suits both.
