You sit down and figure while your hear and dealing with this loser you may as well see whose trying to steal from you.

You reach into the hoodie, searching their pockets until you pull out their wallet. You toss Piper out of her pokeball, handing the mans bag to her. The pickpocket eagerly scurries through the bags contents, not even questioning why you are sitting in front of a unconscious man in a different dimension.

You flip the wallet open, pocketing a few poke for yourself as you check his items. Coupons... a membership card to a casino in Lumiose (maybe a lead)... their pokeshark card for Pokemon tcg tournaments.

You guess this guy actually was some kind of gambler and game aficionado. Shame if you fought him fairly he may actually have been a challenge.

Coulda Shoulda, certainly wouldn't have though.

You take his punchcard for the pokemart (And he was 1 purchase away from a free Pecha shake score) before finally finding his trainer card.

Roijeu Riley... finished his pokemon journey with six badges... couldnt beat Viola or Wulfric though. Explains how he got a mega ring.

You frown as you pull out the last item. A card for some enlightment society in Anistar. Seems suspicious... especially the logo on the back.

You swear youve seen it before.

Maybe we can make an ally or contact out of him like we did with Carl.

Speaking of. We should spend some time with him or as him on this arc.

We've gotten time with our Mother who is never around and our Brother who has spent most of his life around Gurie but who we the players don't know so well.

Carl hasn't gotten much spotlight and we haven't learned much about him since he joined us. Part of it probably is that so far when the adventure picks up he's usually faded into the background, split off, or stayed behind to hold the camp or something while we did stuff.

[ He also had a good reason to not go on the Temple of Bet adventure because
A) It was supposed to be a mothers day hike that turned into an adventure
B) Our mother may have arrested him anyway ]

You whistle, watching as your shadow materializes in front of you,. Girantina nods as Mimi and Suzie Gather.

Oh and Pipers there too.

You sit down around all four of your ghost pokemon. "Okay so what just happened?"

Suzie raises her hand. "I saved you! He was bullying you and now hes byebye."

You nod "Okay but I mean more with... this? What was he even accomplishing?"

Giratina picks up the ring. "Well given the situation the taker of souls was trying to use his psychic powers to force a wager on you. Its a simple enough psychic trick to force someone into a wager, its why pokemon battles were so common in the old time. Though now it seems buercracy and threats replace sheer power."

Mimi nods. "Yup if you force a bet on it there is more risk to you so doing things like sending people cross dimensions is easier."

Ah that explains why he didnt try to just threaten you.

You look at the ring noticing the runes on it. "Okay so that explains the what but why did he want the plate and how did he know I have it."

Mimikyu asks for the ring staring at it as Piper zooms over head. "Hmmm... this is draconid rather then kalosian." Mimi said. "So this guy isnt a local organization like the Sons of Az."

"Cause why would you get a draconid ring if there are plenty of mega items here." You answer as Mimi nods.

"The plates are items of great power and only a handful are not in the hands of legendaries." Giratina says. "You dont need to bother with gathering all 17 with enough power going through one you can try to mimic the Allfathers miracles."

Ooof. So this can be really serious. Piper tosses you a choclate bar from Riley's bag. You peal open the rage bar and munch on it in worry. A international group is trying to hunt down the plates for... something. It has to be a group because if Riley was a tourist hed not have a local trainer card... unless its a fake id and if so where did he get it? International group again.

But why you? And who do you have to tell your mom on to stop them?

"If you want we can torture him!" Suzie says as you shake your head.

"Torture doesnt really give reliable information." You say as Suzie blinks, her zipper mouth curled into a frown.

Continuing the Debbie section.

It's a relationship where their is a good bit we don't know about, especially since Debbie seems to have a RADICALLY different view of her relationship with Gurie then Gurie does.

It seems like Gurie has little to no motivation to try to get closer to Debbie, and she doesn't seem like much of a sparring partner or someone she shares interest with either. Nor is their much on her motivations or dreams besides that she wants to forge pokeballs but we don't know much about that that is either. Maybe if we knew more about her?

Planny and Mr. ChopChop seemed to hit it off pretty well after they fought given how they chatted gamely on the hike the evening after they battled.
