You’d been going over the Destron Gas machines with him ever since you and the girls arrived, helping Bulma’s dad develop this countermeasure. Finally, looks like you all have gotten something. A gas with similarites to Destron, but able to in essence “hijack” its effect and turn it back in on itself, neutralizing the gas.

Bulma meanwhile has come close to finishing her work on 19. Might be time to finally wake her up again. But... well, you still need to actually test the countermeasure, and then start spreading it across the Earth. And you’re running out of time.

Pan shrugs. “I’m basically stuck with you, so might as well.”

Peppa almost leaps to your side, holding on to your hand. “Ready, mom!”

Looking back at Bulma, you smile and tell her, “Best of luck.”

“Same to you, Maple.”

The three of you teleport over to the Lookout, appearing next to Trip and Mr. Popo... with Kuriza next to them, all of them observing the Ginyus trying something. The five of them seem to have synced up their respective Ki signatures... almost like they’re going to attempt Fusion. But... with five?

“All together, men! Let’s get this down!” Captain Ginyu shouts out.

“RIGHT, CAPTAIN!” They declare in return.

You watch quietly as... well...

You sense their new combined strength... and it is truly massive. Far beyond what Ginyu himself was capable of, possibly even close to Piccolo’s strength, if not higher. “Gods... I’m gonna have a million questions about this, you guys don’t go anywhere! But first thing’s first, Trip! We’ve got something that can get rid of the Destron Gas!” You reveal the gas canister to her. “You’ve still got a way of delivering it across the Earth, right?”

She nods. “And not a moment too soon. Plant life across the planet has been wilter, and animals have shown signs of illness all over.”

“Crap...” You look at the canister containing it. “Will this be enough?”

“It may not have an immediate effect on its own... but we can work with this. Mr. Popo?”

The genie starts to walk ahead, motioning for you to follow. “Yes, Kami. It is ready. Maple, if you can bring that with us...”

Pan and Peppa walk with, the older girl commenting, “Well, guess I finally have a chance to see where that thing was located. Really does bring back some memories of facing Baby.”

“Why were you fighting a baby, again?” Peppa questions suspiciously.

“Well like, he called himself Baby. This machine mutant goo monster alien that like... ugh, it’s a long, dumb story.” Pan hangs her head, grumbling in frustration.

Your daughter places her hands on her hips, unimpressed. “What a weirdo. Who calls themself a baby? I’d call myself something cool, like... Space... Laser. Oh, oh, or maybe like... Saiya... Girl! Saiyagirl!”

Pan flinches. “...I’m sure you can come up with better names than-”

“Tuffest-Saiyagirl!” she exclaims, spinning in a circle.

Mr. Popo opens up a large dooway, a dark hallway that seems to go on as far as the eye can see. Summoning his magic carpet, Mr. Popo next directs everyone on it and flies through. The hallway is... oddly ominous. You can feel strange presences within it, but they seem stilled, silent. Like they’re quietly observing you all. “Is... there something here, Trip?”

“The path to the Seven Air Currents under the Lookout is kept by spirits of the Earth’s previous Kami, chosing to remain here to help guard it from outside threats.”

You sense around a bit more. They... do definitely feel familiar, somehow. Almost like... Darkness, in a way? Still, you reach the end, seeing Sugoro and son tending a device at there, currents of wind seemingly being drawn towards it.

“What do you need me to do, Trip?” You move off the magic carpet, waving to Sugoro and son.

“We need to dissolve the gas within the sacred water, the two mixing together to back up each one’s abilities.” she explains, moving off with you.

“How... exactly are you going to do that?” Pan questions.

“Shouldn’t be too difficult.” Sugoro states, transforming into a large pot. “Place the canister inside, then pour in the water. My son and I have done this plenty of times to make nice fresh sodas, when we got the chance.”

“Oh!” Peppa exclaims. “Carbo... carbi...”

“Carbonation, sweetie.” you help. “That’s actually pretty clever. So you’re goint to pressurize it in, or what?”

“It would be the general idea behind it.” Trip states. “We should get started.”

You do as asked, placing the canister inside Sugoro while Trip slowly pours in the Sacred Water, Shusugoro transforming into a lid. You look back down the hallway. “You know, I have to wonder, would someone like Olibu have made a good choice in guarding this place?”

“He never became Kami of Earth, so he would never have been made a candidate for it.” she replies.

You place your hands behind your head. “Well, did he turn the job down, or something?”

“He either was never offered it or turned it down when given the chance. Becoming a good Kami still requires much in the way of proper training and learning of what rules to abide by, especially in dealing with guiding souls to the afterlife.” Trip looks down, frowning. “...I will do my best to live up to the man who came before me.”

“I think you’re already doing a great job.” you comment with a smile. As you wait, you look back at the hallway again. “...Was Darkness ever a Kami?”

Trip is confused by your question. “Hm? Well... not that I am aware of. Why do you ask?”

You shrug. “Just kinda getting a similar vibe between him and the spirits in there, I guess.”

“Ah, that is probably because the forms their spirits have taken are similar to his. But I can assure you, Darkness has never been Kami himself.” Mr. Popo explains.

“What do you mean by form? Can others like... do this?” You tilt your head. This is new.

Popo shakes his head. “Not usually. A soul needs to be kept from passing on in some way, either through an outside force or through a kind of... well, ‘permission’ is probably not the best way to describe it. Maybe... acceptance, of higher powers?”

“Ready!” Sugoro declares.

He helps Trip lift Sugoro to an opening that seems to be drawing in air. “Well... I do not believe that most would. It takes more than mere force of will to linger in such a manner. Even when King Piccolo unleashed his reign of terror upon the world, the souls that he kept from passing on eventually were able to cross over once he was stopped. I would imagine that Dr. Raichi’s defeat will release the souls of those he has under his command back to the other world.”

“Whaaaaat iiiiiif one of them really wants to remain behind, like that Freezer guy?” Peppa asks. “Could he become like... a spooky ghost? A spooky skull ghost? A... skost. Skost. Skoooost.” She repeats the portmanteau several more times, amused by the sound of it.

“A spirit lingering like that could potentially happen, but they would be drawn back to the afterlife eventually.” Trip tells her. “I suspect if there is any lingering Destron gas on other planets, they may try to manifest there, haunting until their strength is diminished and they are forced back, or until they exorcised properly.”

“Then let’s make sure that our world is free of the stuff.” you declare adamantly.

Everyone gives a little cheer, a few more voices added in catching your attention. You look back and spot Pantea, Chuu Lee, Piccolo, Yosei... and your brother. “Sis... hah, it really is you.” Acer starts to move towards you, a wide, warm smile on his face.

Seems Pantea’s almost caught up with Videl, definitely enough for her to try to manage the Kaio-Ten, while Chuu Lee’s gotten even stronger, about as strong as Goku is now. Acer meanwhile is right even with you.

They both look at each other and smile. “Dr. Raichi won’t know what hit him.” Chuu Lee declares confidently.

“Ooh, then... did you...?”

“Just barely, but we can transform. Also, we think we figured out something interesting.” Pantea replies, looking to Acer.

Your brother clears his throat. “So... that thing I went through, absorbing the Destron Gas and recieving a significant boost in strength? We think, key word here think, that was me almost pushing through the barrier to the Kaio-Ten. Maybe call it like... a pseudo-Kaio-Ten, like what Goku did in the Tournament, before he finally truly became a Super Saiyan.”

“Huh... well that’s something.” It... would mean he almost got the form before you. Heh, wow, you’ve got a bit of catching up to do, don’t you?

A sudden, ominous jolt travels down your spine. You can feel something approaching... something strong. Everyone else senses it too. Crap... he’s almost here.

After telepathically telling those searching for the last few Destron Gas machines to keep up their search, you ask everyone else to meet up with you ASAP. Dr. Raichi’s almost here. You and Acer decide the best place to meet up is near Capsule Corp, and head there as the fighters from all around head towards it. You also try to sense for anything unusual arriving on Earth, having your Scouter scan around.

Worryingly, you feel an all too familiar presence already on the planet. A few of them, in fact... and while you don’t sense it, your Scouter picks up a couple fairly high energy signatures as well. Acer notices it too, especially the strongest one. “Crap... so he was saving that for the grand finale, huh?”

Peppa gives a determined look. “Gohan and I kicked his butt once already, we’ll do it again!”

“Majin Ozotto feels even stronger than before... I don’t know if you two should try to take him on your own.” you tell her. “But we might have to manage our forces carefully...”

After a short while, most everyone arrives. Goku, Gohan, Raditz, Chi-chi, Izumi, Bra, Videl, Yamcha, Vegeta, Nappa, Tarble, Krillin, Lapis, Lazuli, Beelzebub, and even recently arrived Jaco, Jiya, and of all people, Cui, join your group. Tien, Launch, and the Crane School seem to be still going around hunting down the last remaining Destron Gas machines with a few others like Yajirobe.

Vegeta and Nappa glare at Cui silently as he catches up with the Ginyus and Kuriza, Jaco and Jiya looking over at the group uncomfortably, but trying not to speak out against them. An unspoken truce, at the very least, seems to be their prevailing mindset, but the tension there is more than noticeable. Goku meanwhile smiles at you confidently. “Ready to do this, Maple?”

You look over all your friends and allies gathered around, thinking back to how you all came to be here. Some of them you first met as bitter rivals or sworn enemies, some of them were fast friends. Everyone here has gone through countless struggles, trials, tests of strength and resolve. You all have come a long way to reach this point. “I think we all are.”

Acer stands up, a determined and resolute look on his face. “All those years ago Dr. Raichi abandoned us here, on this planet, refusing to bring us back unless we killed Goku. We defied him. We chose to stick with not just Goku, but this planet. Earth is our home. And now he comes here to threaten this home. We WILL stop him. We WILL save this world. We WILL stop him from hurting any other world, too. And we WILL change the future, for the better.” He thrusts his fist into the air. “Who’s with us?!”

Cheers of agreement echo out from most everyone. Vegeta and Nappa snort out in slight annoyance, but otherwise don’t make any comment. Raditz, though, smirks proudly, raising his fist as well. Piccolo nods at him, a look of pride on his face. Goku cracks his knuckles. “Heh, looks like we’re all getting a little excited for this.”

“Okay. I think it’s best that we start dividing into teams for this. Some of us will need to confront Dr. Raichi directly, but we can’t neglect the Earth, especially with Ozotto back...”

Bra takes a step forward. “If you’ll all let me, I would like to lead the team facing Majin Ozotto. He was only capable of reaching this form because of Cell, after all. I take responsibility for this.”

“Sounds like a good plan. You’ve got that Ascended Super Saiyan power, and Peppa and Gohan managed to beat Ozotto handily on their own with it.” Lapis comments.

You rub your chin. “Fusion partners are going to prove a life saver, too, so whatever teams we divide into, we’ll need to make sure some of us can fuse.”

Raditz steps forward as well. “I guess I’m in the same boat. I’m going to confront Dr. Raichi as well.” He gives Goku a friendly jab on the arm. “Besides, what kind of big brother would I be if I didn’t try to keep an eye on you?”

“I’m in too.” Piccolo declares. “I also owe the two of you, both as Piccolo and as the former Kami.”

Gohan and Peppa float up towards you and Goku, tails swaying behind them both. “We’re gonna go too. Bad guy gramps needs a butt-kicking.” Peppa tells you.

“Maple...” Chuu Lee places her hand on your shoulder. “Allow me to fight by your side. You trained me and helped me become the fighter I am today. You believed in my potential, and I want to repay you for all you’ve helped me accomplish. As a fellow Turtle School Master. And as a friend.”

“If you are going to fight Dr. Raichi, Dr. Gero will be there as well.” a new voice comments, all of you turning to see her. Bulma and Chiaotzu walk in... with 19, awake and fully repaired. “I request that you allow me to confront him.”

“Hmnh. All this sentimental garbage is going to make me gag.” Vegeta groans out. “But if you are going to fight him, then I am going to come too. My blood boils knowing that he’s been allowed to live for so long. I want to be the one to put him in his grave.”

“I appreciate it.” she responds... well, not as blankly or emotionlessly as before, but there’s still a calmness in her voice. At the very least, it seems a bit more friendly.

You next look over to Vegeta and smile at him. His eyes narrow in response. “You keep that up and I WILL punch that smirk right off your face.”

You nudge his arm. “Hey, if can tolerate working alogside a couple Tuffles, then we’re more than happy to have you too.”

His eye twitches. “I’m only doing this to put him in the dirt. Nothing more.”

Goku grins too. “Well Vegeta, glad to have you with us.”

He glares and you’d swear you started to hear him growl at Goku. Peppa squints at Vegeta, landing and holding on to your leg. Bra, however, draws his attention away for just a moment, telling him, “Good luck out there, father.”

Vegeta’s anger subsides as he nods in response, telling her in a proud and, for once, almost fatherly tone, “I expect to see you alive and well when I return, Bra.”

“What do you mean?” Bulma asks him.

As if on cue, Tien contacts you. ‘Maple, there’s something strange happening with the barriers around the machines. They... they’ve gotten way stronger than before. Wait... no, that’s not all, something else is changing about them...’

Dr. Gero starts to laugh. “Hahahaha! The only way you’re going to get rid of them is to take out the master control unit. Oh, but that’s not all... these last five will prove to be quite a bit more formidable than their other variants.”

For example, bringing Freeza with you when you fight Black and Zamasu has a path where Freeza declares that he's going to kill them AND whoever else is altering the timeline. Agh, that’s a good point. Gero and Raichi might have a trick up their sleeves if the Mafuba is used. You look up at the approaching planet, breathing out “Samma Ditthi” as you sense what’s up there.

You feel... rage. Vengeful, furious, but almost tranquil rage. Dr. Raichi’s up there, and he’s mad as hell. He wants to be rid of this world, the Saiyans on it, and every last speck of what he considers their “corruption.” And yet... there’s a strange sense of sadness, almost depression, helping fuel that rage. And if you didn’t know better... maybe even a smidge of pride, too.

“Hmnh. Nappa, I expect to see you alive and well when I return, too.” Vegeta tells the large Saiyan, glancing his way. “And if not, die a death fitting of a Saiyan.”

“Same to you, Vegeta.” Nappa responds with a smirk.

“Maple.” Yosei’s voice calls to you, the fairy flying over. “While I can’t exactly help you fight them, I’d like to go too. I still recall some of the layout, and if I work with you and your brother, we’ll probably be able to avoid any traps he has set up.”

She smiles sweetly at him and sits down on your shoulder, everyone gathering around you, Peppa and Gohan holding your arm as Goku places his hand on your head. “Everyone ready?”

“Yeah!”

“Take care, guys.” Bulma gives you a thumb’s up. “And kick that old geezer’s butt!”

You lock on to what you assume is Dr. Raichi’s Ki... gods, it’s been so long since you last felt it, but it’s definitely familiar. With one final goodbye, you teleport away. You arrive at a dark, ominous castle, everyone starting to look around. “Woooow, this place is really big!” Peppa comments. “I bet you could play hide-and-seek in here for hours!”

“We’re not here for games. We’re here to kill that phantom for good.” Vegeta grunts at her.

You look around, a little confused. “...Strange, I swear I could sense his Ki, but... he’s not here?”

“Oh but I am, Maple Mahogany.” Dr.Raichi’s voice calls out to you.

Lights flash on in the dark castle, revealing the image of Dr. Raichi... but transparent, spooky. Almost like... “WOAH! He’s a REAL ghost!” Peppa shouts out.

The image then disappears, along with his Ki signature. Loud, mechanical footsteps stomping towards you all. “You are all in my domain now. Do you really think I’d let you just waltz in here like you owned the place? No, no I am afraid that you’re not getting to me so easily.” 10 machines approach you all. God Guardons. “Show me your resolve, or your world will die a slow and painful death.”

Vegeta transforms. “Hah, if it’s resolve you want, Tuffle, I’ll show you resolve! Your end is at hand!”

You power up, but only to keep your guard up. “Yosei, you’re up! We need to get moving! Where to?”

The fairy floats around, trying to get a sense of direction. The machines advance forward slowly but steadily, Goku, Gohan, Peppa, Acer, Chi-Chi, and Chuu Lee all transforming as well. Piccolo removes his weighted clothes, 19 seems to focus herself carefully... and Vegeta bursts into the fray, slamming his fist into one of the machines hard enough to knock it off its feet. “Fools! Don’t just stand there, fight!”

Almost immediately, the other nine lock on to Vegeta and open fire on him, forcing him back. He’s able to guard himself well enough, but he’s still forced back. At the very least, the incident gives Yosei the time she needs to locate a path. “There! Down there! The tunnels!” She points out, flying to a level below the one you’re on.

You fly after her.“We need to stick together, guys! That means you too, Vegeta, come on! They’re a distraction, Raichi’s the real threat!”

“Don’t boss me around, Tuffle!” he growls out, but still follows after.

Yosei leads you all through a series of tunnels, more of the God Guardons attempting to chase after you. They’re tough, but not quite tough enough to force you to face them. What’s more, they’re a good deal slower than you all. One attempts to burst through the floor below you, raising its arm and preparing to unleash a barrage of energy attacks from its gun arm at Yosei! “GUARDON CRUSHER!”

You think quickly, bringing up your Spirit Bits and forming a barrier around her. Gohan and Peppa bolt down to it, kicking right through it. The fairy breathes out a sigh of relief, continuing on her way. Finally you seem to reach an opening... and a familiar figure stands before you. “I see that your companion is more capable than I gave her credit for.” Artificial Human #16 comments in a cold, mechanical voice. “I also see that #19 has chosen a new path.”

The robot girl looks up at him. “Would I be correct to presume that our creator is close by?”

“You would indeed.” Gero’s voice calls out from above. You spot the man sitting in a throne-like chair, decorated but quite menacing. “Thank you for fulfilling your final purpose, 19.”

She... seems to glare at him. “We have much I would like to discuss. But I doubt you are in the mood for talking.”

“We don’t need to fight, 16. You don’t have to do this.” You give him a friendly smile.

“Have to?” He looks down his nose at you. “You misunderstand. I am not doing this out of obligation. I do this because it is my choice.”

You use the Spirit Bits to form a barrier around Yosei again as Goku flies forward, clashing with 16. To the android’s credit, he’s exceptionally durable, and holds his ground as Goku begins to attack. Chi-chi meanwhile focuses on Dr. Gero, sending her Spirit Bits out to him... only for her to notice that they stop in midair around him. Dr. Gero stands up, chuckling menacingly as he starts to fly down, carrying Chi-chi’s attack with him. “Did you really think I wouldn’t have a backup plan for this?”

To his surprise, Chi-chi smirks, then crosses her arms. “I learned my lesson facing Aza all those years ago. BURST!”

Caught off-guard, Gero doesn’t quite have the time to defend himself as the Spirit Bits all explode around him. Piccolo seems to give Chi-chi an approving nod, advancing on 16 as Goku faces off with him. Chuu Lee stays with you and the kids as 19 starts to advance on Dr. Gero.

“Surrendering would make this easier on you.” the android girl tells him.

The doctor dusts himself off, firing beams from his eyes at Chi-chi. She’s hit and knocked back, but keeps her composure, charging and firing a Kamehameha quickly. Gero holds his hand up, revealing he has a Ki Absorber implanted in it like 19, but again, Chi-chi proves to have a trick up her sleeve, bending the Kamehameha upwards and back down again, smacking Dr. Gero in the back. Acer finally jumps in, kicking Gero in the gut and sending him sliding across the floor.

Goku and Piccolo meanwhile keep up their assault on 16, the android attempting to fire another Rocket Punch as Goku moves in, only for Piccolo to stretch his arm and grab the fist out of the air, sending it back at 16 right in time for Goku to reach him and ram his fist into 16‘s gut, firing a Geist Magnum in 16‘s face as Piccolo grabbed him with both arms and slammed him into Dr. Gero.

19 stands before them, resolute. “As strong as the modifications have made you, you have no chance against all of th-” She stops herself, closing her eyes. “...all of us.”

Dr. Gero laughs confidently. “Looks like the real fun is about to begin.”

Goku’s right, even Broly’s power pales in comparison to him. Dr. Raichi’s definitely given him some upgrades, even compared to his future counterpart. However, you stand resolute. “So you finally come to face us, Hatchiyak.”

His yellow eyes focus on you, then look to Acer. “You still have a chance to make up for your failures. Surrender.”

“Hell no!” Acer shouts in defiance. “How ‘bout YOU surrender!”

Raditz powers up and jumps next to Goku. “Or you can just let us smash you like we were planning.”

Confidently, Vegeta points at the red giant of a fighter. “Listen now and listen well, Tuffle trash! I, Vegeta, the prince of all Saiyans, am going to finish what my father started. If you want to continue with this pointless struggle, at least try to put up a fight, unlike the rest of your pathetic race.”

Peppa and Gohan stand with you and Chuu Lee, their golden auras glowing and sparking. Yosei turns to you, still shielded. “Maple, it’s still quite a ways to Dr. Raichi’s lab.”

You transform, powering up as well. “We make our stand here. Yosei, get to safety! Chuu Lee, kids, let’s go!”

“RIGHT!” The three of them dash forward with you, Goku and Raditz facing Hatchiyak as well, Vegeta preparing a powerful blast, while Acer and Chi-chi continue to fight Dr. Gero with 19, Piccolo holding off 16.

As big as he is, though, Hatchiyak is exceptionally fast, managing to dodge Goku and Raditz with ease. What’s more, just as Vegeta fires off his attack, Hatchiyak puts up a barrier, completely nullifying any damage. You stop, breathing out “Samma Ditthi” as you try to sense what he’s doing. It’s like he’s almost fueled by this hatred, and wants nothing more than to bring an end to those he hates so much.

Hatchiyak then crosses his arms, charging up power. “REVENGER CANNON!”

A tremendous beam blasts forth from his arms. Your foresight gives you ample opportunity to dodge, Goku and Raditz just barely making it out of the way. Vegeta gets hit with the full force of the beam, doing his best to guard but still getting knocked away. However, not only do Gohan and Peppa dodge, they even surprise Hatchiyak, flying around the beam at full speed and both slamming their little fists into his face before he has time to bring his barrier up again, Chuu Lee coming after them, a tremendous amount of Ki focused into her arm, the Ki focus of her Kaio-Ten giving it a massive aura. With a ferocious yell, Chuu Lee thrusts her fist forward and knocks Hatchiyak back.

He skids across the ground before flipping and pushing himself back up, slightly surprised... but not as damaged as you or anyone else hoped.

...but if he completes his revenge. Hatchiyak won't have the anger or motivation to continue. He'll literally have nothing to hate and therefore shouldn't exist.

In a way, the Saiyans and those they 'corrupted' actually give Raichi and Hatchiyak purpose and meaning. Without that hatred they won't...nay can't exist.

You need an ace in the hole with this. You shout out “Samma Vaca!” at Hatchiyak to try and lower his strength. Goku and Raditz go back into action, but even with his lowered strength, Goku only barely has an edge against Hatchiyak. Chuu Lee falls back to try and help Vegeta, Gohan and Peppa moving back to you, asking if you have a plan. You tell them to wait with you, the three of you are going to bat Hatchiyak out into using his attack again.

Hatchiyak finally starts to overpower Goku and Raditz, smacking the two of them aside, Raditz crashing through the floor as Goku barely manages to stop himself. Meanwhile, Dr. Gero is fighting a losing battle against Acer, Chi-chi, and 19, and thanks to the Kaio-ken, Piccolo’s able to trounce 16 handily. Still, Hatchiyak is the real threat. He brings his arms together... aha, here he goes. Goku flies back at Hatchiyak, trying to deliver a roundhouse kick to his head, only to miss, Hatchiyak headbutting him in return. You count it out as you try to come to his aid... and even as Raditz tries to grab Hatchiyak from behind, he’s kicked in the gut, then flung at Goku.

“REVENGER CANNON!” A beam blasts forth, catching Goku and Raditz together, you, Gohan, and Peppa all barely making it out of the way in time. The blast leaves a massive hole in the dark, murky castle’s walls. But... you’ve got a time limit for that. 15 seconds.

“DAAAAAD!” Peppa screams out, catching Hatchiyak’s attention.

He starts to run at you... and a Ki blast explodes at his face. It does little damage, but it does draw his attention away. “I’M NOT DEAD YET, YOU BASTARD!” Vegeta roars, bringing his hands together. “I’LL SEE YOU IN HELL! FINAL-”

“GEIST MAGNUM!” Hatchiyak declares. A blast fires forth, hitting Vegeta in the head hard enough that he’s knocked back. Hatchiyak then stomps on him, grabbing Vegeta by the neck and flinging him at a pillar. He starts to charge once more...

But you’re not letting him finish this time. You bring out your Spirit Bits, swirling them around in front of you, readying the Lunar Siren as well. Telling them what you’re planning, Gohan and Peppa start to charge up a pair of Kamehamehas with you, and to top it off, you clear your mind and focus entirely on this, declaring, "Samma Samadhi!” to boost you, Gohan, and Peppa even higher. Gohan and Peppa press against you. 12... 13... 14... NOW!

You teleport right below Hatchiyak. “RASEN!” Peppa starts.

“DENJIN!” you add in.

“KAMEHAMEHAAAAA!” Gohan roars, the three of you all blasting Hatchiyak with as much power as you can muster. Swirling beams engulf him, blasting upwards, tunneling through the castle... no, more than that. You blast out a massive chunk of it... and you feel Hatchiyak’s power start to drop.

You pant heavily. Now THAT left a mark on him. But... it’s not enough to bring him down just yet. But oh boy does he look pissed.

Locating Goku, Raditz, and Vegeta, you form three Phoenix Tears and launch them at the Saiyans to get them back up. Next you shout out, “Piccolo, we could use a bit of help here!”

He quickly flings 16 aside, the red aura of the Kaio-ken flaring around him as he strikes the monster of vengeance... but to Piccolo’s surprise, Hatchiyak is still able to block it, in spite of his injured state. You see 19 holding Gero down, Acer and Chi-chi turning to see it... and Gero begins to laugh. “You really couldn’t have thought that was ALL our greatest creation was capable of, could you? Hatchiyak! Phase 2!”

Hatchiyak releases an Explosive Wave, knocking Piccolo away... and starts to grow in size. He becomes a true titan of rage, towering over you all. And... he starts charging a Revenger Cannon again! You wait another 15 seconds, then fire an MP Buster at Hatchiyak! ...But while the attack WEAKENS the beam, his increase in size is matched with an increase in strength, too. A gigantic blast follows, catching nearly the entirety of the castle behind you. You dodge just in time, but the beam still catches a lot of your allies in its wake.

Piccolo’s only barely able to endure the blast thanks to a Kaio-ken x20, but Goku, Raditz, and Vegeta are again knocked back down. Raditz and Vegeta barely manage to stand up, struggling to hold on, Goku getting to his feet, but even with you healing him, the blast has taken quite a toll on him, Chuu Lee in about the same state. If they were hit with a full power blast...

“STOP HURTING MY DAAAAAD!” Peppa roars, thwacking the giant Hatchiyak with her Power Pole, Gohan charging at him with the Shinespark, repeatedly assaulting the titan.

With the kids holding him off, Piccolo gets an idea... and he too grows in size, matching Hatchiyak’s increase, the Kaio-ken flaring around him again. “You’ll need to do better than that if you want to take us down!”

Surprisingly, Yosei flies up towards you. “W-what’re you doing?! Get back to cover while you still can!” you tell the fairy.

“No no, Maple, this might be our chance!” she declares.

“Yosei, I’ve got an idea. I’ll provide a distraction, and help you get in there. Once inside, I’ll teleport to you.” You bring up your Spirit Bits again, forming a barrier around the fairy. “Good luck.”

She nods, flying away, guided by the barrier as you try to draw Hatchiyak’s attention. You land on Piccolo’s shoulder, running across his arm and, with a Spirit Stinger prepped, you hit Hatchiyak in the face with a Fractal Strike with as much power as you can muster! It’s enough to get him to shout out in pain, Yosei flying down his open mouth quickly. Okay, it worked!

...And Hatchiyak’s attention is now completely on you. He blasts you with a beam from his forehead, knocking you out of the sky. Goku manages to catch you as you fall, at least. “You okay, Maple?”

You wince but power through the pain. “B-been through worse... how about you, monkey boy?”

“Eheh, same... but we knew this wasn’t going to be easy.” He looks up at Piccolo grappling with Hatchiyak, smacking his head into the other giant’s, only for Hatchiyak to return his attack with a fist to the gut. It’s a good thing he’s able to manage the Kaio-ken for so long, but even for him, it’s going to take a toll on his body. Gohan and Peppa continue to assist Piccolo, darting around Hatchiyak and hitting him with a barrage of Ki blasts.

“HRRRAAAAAAAAHH!” Vegeta roars out, dashing in front of Hatchiyak’s face and placing his hand forward. “TAKE THIS! SUPER VEGETA’S BIG BANG-”

The giant grabs Vegeta and instead flings him like a Super Saiyan baseball at Piccolo’s head. Hatchiyak then brings his arms together, like he’s charging again. Piccolo attempts to use the Raio-ken to outspeed the other giant... but Hatchiyak isn’t firing a Revenger Cannon. After his 15 seconds are up, and Gohan and Peppa manage to hit him with their sword and Power Pole, Hatchiyak flings his arms out. “REVENGER EXPLOSION!”

You and Goku shields yourselves from the attack, but Piccolo, Peppa, and Gohan are all caught by it, Vegeta being knocked away like a ragdoll, falling to the ground, his body severely injured. Most everyone else was able to keep out of the blast radius, but an attack like that... ‘Yosei, tell me there’s good news!’

“I’ll be back, monkey boy.” You tap two fingers to your head and teleport to Yosei, ending up in what you assume to be Hatchiyak’s chest area... and in the center, you see some sort of beating mechanism, like a mechanical heart. Hatchiyak’s core! ...But you get a flash of foresight. You’re not alone in here. Tendrils seem to erupt from the floor, piercing through the barrier around the fairy and grabbing her. They try to restrain you too, and even at full strength, you struggle to break free.

“Don’t tell me that’s the best you’ve been able to manage in all these years.” A voice you haven’t heard in a very, very long time critically calls to you from Hatchiyak’s core. “I thought I trained you and Acer better than that.”

You... you can’t really believe it. “...T-teacher?!”
