Previously on Caster Quest we got around to a lot of townie activities: we planted that Demon Tree we stole from Catherine in the shadow of Honey Hill in a small parcel of land sectioned specifically off for it (and away from prying eyes), various research into both our staff and mayhaps the 'most powerful necromancer spell' were conducted illuminating us to the existence of Finger of Death and one of the final materials for our staff- Black Unicorn Bone. What followed was a small but lengthy adventure back into the woods for the necessary hallowed materials we needed.. But things didn't really go entirely as planned.... You've finally got a horse though!

Your links are here.

On your way back home you were accidentally dropped in the monochrome unseelie realm of shadow.. You were there for what felt like just a few moments: you picked some flowers, herbs, roots, and grasses and then had a pleasant chat with Nyx- the mistress of the domain. But now that you've returned you notice some inconsistencies.
The clouds over head and the dense moisture in the air can only mean the Rainy Season has begun , but that would mean you've been away for possible 3-4 months.

Accepting new Actions. Might be prudent to check up on every little thing.

And Map post.

You're were dumped out of a single scrubby tree in the middle of nowhere maybe an hour or so on foot from Hemlock.

Well....shit. Ok. Lets check out Hemlock for a few hours then go back home to chill and recooperate. Let's radio Archie and Seance everyone and tell them we were on a magical accidental vacation.

Lets ask everyone what's been up while we were gone.

>Lets check out Hemlock for a few hours
>Freebie.

Feeling the tourist: you play the part and head over to Hemlock to see how things have changed there if at all and are pleasantly surprised by what you see.. You can already make out loads of Changelings in and out of the fields outside of town and their various growing urban and agrarian development well before you make it into the ruins. This isn't really a 'top' priority, obviously, but you're here so you may as well have a look around.
-The Ruins of Hemlock are maybe at 1/4th their capacity? Entirely Changelings- the town has a few simple services: market, tavern, and a crude smith and according to the locals the Temple see's some use with the Priest Boy coming once every second week to maintain it's ordination.
You have a spot of Lunch (since you're STARVING ) and cloud your way back to your Village Lair.

>>2780285
>Check on Home.
>Roll 17, 19- Luckyyyyyy, and Near Perfect.

You... Almost don't recognize the place.
The ruins surrounding your lair have been built over and completely replaced by the 'new' people living over them: an honest town has been spawned and surrounding it farmers fields, cottages, and hovels.. That seem to be a little more racially segregated than you were expecting. The Changelings live and work outside of 'town' in the fields, with the 'downtown' of sorts being nearly entirely populated by Flesh Golems.. More so than you remember creating.
The towns name is Hurst you don't remember naming it, but you also don't remember it having: a Tavern, a Fancy Church (with stain glass and everything), several shops and stores including an Apothecary, Doctor's Office, a Butcher, and a population roughly over 700 people. The Architecture in the 'downtown core' doesn't match the typical Changeling-style and is more.. pointed, slanted, dark-wood, and gothic.
Even the old Well has been built into a large, ornate, fountain with a rather dazzling crystal-ice formation in the center that wafts a gentle vapor that mists the air and pools fresh, clean, cool water for the town. The whole Township is walled in.

Your Manor has remained untouched.. With the exception of perhaps a few more fields, a stable, and is a bit 'cleaner'.
Avarice, Annie, and your Twins F1 & F2 all greet you at the door, but Eloy and the Hobs are nowhere to be seen.

Your Twins and Annie are simply pleased to see you, but by Avarice' ragged look he probably can't wait to have you back at the helm and all the responsibility lifted from his tired, sloping, shoulders.
"I don't even know where to start."

Avarice has a number of chores for you. To say the least.
>>
>>2780389
I certainly hope they didn't kill or run-off Eloy and the Hobs. I liked them
>>
>>2780402
They wouldn't have any real reason too, so it's probably nothing to worry too much about. Elloy could have moved on to better things and the hobs might be out doing things.

>Avarice has a number of chores for you. To say the least.
Lay em on me! Oh and lets ask the Twins and Avarice what has happened while we were gone.

And After the chores I think it's finally time to upgrade our small humble manor. We'll get some proper fired red bricks, some wood, glass windows. The works. Avarice with get a propper large room with a luxury furniture and a large vanity. Then after the chores I'd think it'd be best to mingle with the towns folks.
>>
>>2780421
Our return would be a perfect time to try starting that festival of having the Flesh Golems, Changelings, and Hobs mingle while making masks and decorations for the Haunted Skulls. Could even think of other celebration stuff now that our population is so much larger
>>
>>2780432
Oh that's right! The festival! We've been talking about this in the past few threads! I was hoping to do one when the Population hit 500, but 700 is better.

Yeah. The festival can have all sorts of games, food and fun. Beside making masks and decorations for the Haunted Skulls, what if we include costumes for the animated scarecrows made of discarded rags, junk, masks and etc?

Avarice takes you inside and over Tea and Coffee (while you wander around a little- the House is different here and there, but it's still in one piece) and gives you a grocery list of everything that needs your immediate attention or you should be known about.

-Eloy's contract expired. This was always just a job to and for him- admittingly he lingered a few months more than perhaps was required of him, but the Dungeon is completed: he took his things, we paid him, and he left. "I heard he headed off to Goliard."

-Your Mayor-Magi and Twins F1 & F2 have been reanimating and making maybe 50-60 'Perfect' Flesh Golems a Month while you were away. That's, alright, that isn't too bad- Oh, okay, yeah, your Labratory has been seeing a LOT of work since you were gone. Avarice goes on to say that Magi has been basically.. Running Hurst since you were away. You tentatively ask Avarice how many Flesh Golems live in Hurst.. "320". Oh, oh, that's a lot. "Yes, not counting Changelings whom still remain the majority, a handful of Gnomes and a few Vampires."
Oh? Vampires?

-You ask Avarice about that nice Church in town- "Oh, yes, of course: Nyx, we've been worshiping Nyx. The 'polytheistic' church didn't last 2 weeks after you left. The Flesh Golems tore it down and built that Church to Nyx... I mean, it's quite a nice Church: I did the stain glass for it in case you were curious." Avarice says it's operated and run by 1 Flesh Golem, "She was a Nun in life, so really she just kind of fell into it- Religious Undead are quite few and far between." Church services take place at midnight and end at 2 AM, how creepy !

-Avarice seems a little.. Hesitant about this, as if he doesn't want to say it, "The, uh.. The Demon Tree needs, uhm.. A little pruning. "

The final bit of business is brought to your attention by.. MM himself: Mayor-Magi, he greets you as politely and paternally as ever, addressing you as Cold Father Caster ..You like that one.. And asks
"Has your Familiar told you of the Insect Knight we captured? We had detained him while you were away, but were didn't feel it appropriate to execute him 'till you had returned in the event you wished to see to it yourself, Father."

They captured one of Catherine's Bug Knights. Accepting new Actions.

>>2780467
>"Trim" the flesh tree
>Roll 2- It's gonna be an uphill battle.

You take Avarice with you and the two of you head over to the Demon Tree's small grove just in the shadow of Honey Hill. It becomes quite clear why Avarice was bashful about this, "You.. just weren't around and.. We, I, maybe fed it too much."
The Tree is maybe twice as big, twice as graphic, the surrounding grass has become corrupted by this unhealthy, pink & red, sweating, cancerous growth that turns the foliage to flesh and the area reeks. Avarice basically started fucking the tree perhaps the third week you were gone. It didn't truly get out of hand, though, 'till the Vampires began dwelling in Hurst and they joined in on the degenerate festivities. The surrounding area needs to be putrefied, Avarice has to be bullied into trimming and cutting the trees excess growth (something he's loathed to do), but mostly he and his friends need to stop fucking it.. So much.
This is annoying because the Tree could have been growing hearts, lungs, stomachs, any organ it wanted to for transplant, but because it kept getting molested it kept molesting..... That said.
>>2780537
>He's probably pent up from stress.
>Roll 19- Near perfect.

You cast Black Tentacles on yourself and give Avarice a pretty Violent Radical Fuck to help ween him from the tree.
You are sexually more powerful than the Demon Tree, so Avarice's is left obliterated and satisfied- The Tree just a summer fling.

>>2780475
>>2780456
>Interrogate Bug.
>3, 9- Weird and Bad, Low Average.

You don't like this.
They have captured and actually crucified The Fly Knight: His wings have been torn off, his legs have been cut off from the knee, so has his left arm where his kind of acidic whip-shell thingy used to be, and he's covered in numerous poorly healed lacerations, cuts, bruises, and bumpy misaligned knotted bones. They crippled him, amputated him, whipped the piss out of him for weeks, and have been feeding him just enough to mess with his regeneration.
He's in very poor condition, but still alive and resistant.
"Buzz, buzz..." His only friend so far has been Avarice who (being a Demon) was ordered to keep him alive: feeding and cleaning him every dawn and dusk.

You honestly find this rather distasteful. Avarice told Magi torture doesn't work on Demons, but he thought Avarice was merely being uncreative and perhaps a little.. 'nepotistic', but apparently this is still preferable to Hell.

You call for MM and chew him out on how displeased you are about all of this. You were even planning on chastizing him- boxing his ears a bit and really showing him what you think of all this, but the cowering look of absolute hysteria, despair, and confusion on his face reminds you of the sort of authority you have over these people.
Your creations.
Magi Mayor may be taller than you, more of an Adult, have a better INT score, but to him you're a mix of Father and God and he's just been trying to overachieve in hopes you'll be happy when you come back.

While you're not going to heal Mr.Fly Knight back to military-grade health: you set his bones back in place, you heal and clean his wounds, you feed and water him enough so he can actually talk, and get him into some sort of condition beyond spooky skinny skeleton.
The Fly Knight in his half lucid state of consciousness- delirious and confused from being brought back so quickly from such a punished and emaciated state, he mutters, asking for his Father. You gently place your hands on the cheeks of The Fly Knight and receive the mental image of the Tiefling Candidus, Catherine's Warlock, Son, and Mate. This isn't immediately useful, but it will make Seance possible in ideal conditions.
Also, weird; their family tree sounds more like moss: sweeping out right to left, but never going up.

Rolling for father son bonding experience in the ice dungeon to gather ingredients and make ice cream together. I wanted to give him a verbal lashing, but I didn't think it would be this severe. I just had this thought. Some (assuming the twins have been using Archie's shipments of Homuncili skeletons for the skeletons of Flesh Golems) might have maintained their human memories with varying degrees of clarity, assuming some of the Flesh Golems created used the restored brains taken from zombies and other undead. They might know what happened all the humans. It might be worth talking to the flesh golem peeps about their pasts.

>Avarice says it's operated and run by 1 Flesh Golem, "She was a Nun in life, so really she just kind of fell into it- Religious Undead are quite few and far between."
Is this the same nun that lost their cleric/paladin powers after getting resurrected? Sad to see that she couldn't pray to her old god anymore, but at least she's got a new purpose.

Before you finish up for the day there's one person you'd like to try and get into contact and that's the Shrike. He was a withered, half-formed, maybe 1/3rd of a dripping, black, spazing crow-body who was light enough for you to carry on your back last time you saw him.
The Crows paint a more positive picture.
"Ah, yes sir- he's been back for only a couple of weeks now, the big boss, but he's been raising hell since. Caw, CAW, CAW, He's been stirring up every ol' woodland critter and whipping all them folks into shape to get his recompense, his pound of flesh if you will- hehAWHAW. "

>Rolling for father son bonding experience
>Roll 4, 5- Bad, but Dependable- an attempt was made.

Loathe as you might be: you dread the notion that you've been an absent paternal figure to the Flesh Golems and are quick to try and make amends to your creation. Head pats and hugs are given and the remainder of the week is spent trying to fix and establish a relationship with your creations.. But it is difficult.
Archie makes it seem so natural, but that's because Archie IS a creation, creating other creations. His Homunculi operate on something like a Hive Mind or an Ant Hill- there's no Ego or spirituality attached to it, he's just doing what he was built to do and so are all of his brothers and sisters. You do not enjoy such a relationship.
Walking into the unfinished streets of the Hurst the Flesh Golems stop what they're doing and either flee or fawn over you- they've all been poorly socialized, this will take time and effort. It's honestly a little terrifying. This much responsibility to so many people. You even spy a few of the non-Golems, but even they're nervous about you given the rumor mill that's developed in the months you've been gone. The only ones who don't seem frightened or obsessed about you seem to be your originals: F1 and F2.. They still shine; brilliant, uncontested, and beautiful.

I don't know if Chemmy took the alchemical equipment or not (which I wouldn't have mind) but not that it's empty this would be a good opportunity to start renovating the the chem lab and goblin den. The emotional tension in the air is a little stifling, you need to add a little 'humanity' to this relationship, so you request the presence of the talking heads: Avarice, Annie, F1 & F2, and Magi... to orchestrate a massive, joyous, big ol' fuckin' shindiggery celebration for the town.
Avarice doesn't think it's wise to be throwing any parties until Catherine is dethroned, but the other four Flesh Golems out-vote him (as was common when you were not around) and would like a party.
You meet in the middle, Hurst will have a Super Moon party: a time (Archie would tell you) where the Moon is so bright, so close, and so utterly massive that the day is eclipsed, the night is bathed in pale moon light as if it were the day, and what causes the rains to be so constant and fierce in the first place.. Or so some believe.

No expense is spared, especially because it's been a while since you had a 'real' expense: booze, meat, sweet treats, moon-themed attire and decoration, Avarice even blows a stained glass moon-patterned window for the Nyx Church (something the Nun deeply appreciates). The preparations take about 4 days to prepare and would have been done sooner, but you insisted on procuring a special red wine "Cheval's Black" that Cheval used to make when she and her family were still in the Rotwood.. Something nostalgic for the kids.

The festivities last a full 24 hours and while you don't party to maximum part-ocity: this event does a lot to soften your image in the eyes of your creations... Especially due to your pension to drink a shit load and then get sick and need to be babied. Typical 17 year old behavior.

>Seance Gardener and tell him we're ok and that he didn't kill us. Ask if he wants to check out the Unseelie Herbs with us
>Roll 2- A two.

Your hangover, unfortunately, is not the only thing ruining your.. I suppose it's either Sunday or Monday.
Your pack is flush with preserved and safe-kept samples of Unseelie Herbs: extremely rare, extremely valuable, and no doubt extremely potent ingredients for your work.
It is too bad though, that Gardener was captured by Catherine. One of your Flower Demon neighbors tells you this, says Gardener looked for WEEKS to try and find you and wasn't terribly discreet about it.
Ultimately he was captured and imprisoned by Catherine.. You..Suppose you're happy he isn't dead... Though if he were you might be able, to.. Ward or Mance his Ghost or something, shit.

The Flower Demon goes on to say that while he wasn't obviously there: Archie and Cheval used the chaos created by Gardener to enact a small raid on Catherine's Manor for various goodies as well as the capture of the Bug Knights.

>Roll 100- Perfect. Without Question: Flawless.

This weeks only saving grace, though, comes in the form of sheer happenstance.
Out of your various goals:

-Become a Lord ( )
-Learn every spell in Copse: (9/13)
-Dethrone Catherine. ( )
-Construct perfect Robe (x)
-Construct perfect Medium

You have become all that more closer to completing the last one- the creation of your perfect and idealized Medium: a perfect and flawlessly powerful staff steeped well in the aspect of entropic and the thematics of the 'end'.... Yes, it all comes together when you're hanging out at the Nyx' Church. Hung Over. At around dusk- which is maybe 6-7pm during the rainy season where the Mrs.Moon kind of supersedes Mr.Sun. You sit in the front row of the pews while admiring the twisting, serene, image of Nyx... And idly ask the Nun when you hear her come in what you could possibly put your staff together with if it's focus is a Fallen Star? What could be powerful enough.. to hold a star..
"Well, uh, Father, every light casts a shadow-" You interrupt her poorly memorized hymn and run off to the lab.

While you're unsure where you're ever going to get something as Precious as Dark Matter.. Maybe you tracked in some on your shoe? No, you were naked.. Maybe there's some sticking to that Pod you got for Archie? Never mind Gardener's been kidnapped.
You try to take your mind off of things by doing a few experiments, specifically: An animated Zombies reaction to implanting Dark Shards.
-Placing Dark Mana (Miasma) Shards in an already animated Zombie seems to.. Accelerate it's development in a way you don't entirely understand.
-Too many Dark Mana Shards causes a Zombie to scream, gurgle, bubble, and melt from the inside out as it's shadow (inside it's body) converts it into a black inky goop- This goop at night then spawning aggressive Creeps... That need to be culled.
-However, processed shards return interesting results: a fine powder peeling it's skin off and turning it into a Mound Maker or 'poor quality' Blood Zombie. They lack 'substance' though compared to ones allowed to gorge on flesh: they extremely aggressively and weak- falling apart in hours.
-None of this makes them immune to the sun. If anything it makes burst into flames and completely destroys them as opposed to simply unanimating... Perhaps Vampires have a similar flaw? Just immersed in negative energies?

>>2781043
>>2781061

>we didn't happen to get any Dark Matter from there stuck to our boot or anything did we?
>Roll 18- Not on your boot, though...

You finally think to check your bags.
There is 5 Liters of Dark Matter in them: the material filling the bag out like a liquid and making it far heavier than normal.. Now, don't get excited you tell yourself.
Because you quickly notice the pooled Dark Matter is also making your bag a temporary bag of holding. Dark Matter is extremely 'empty' and it doesn't possess 'temperature', so as long as it's in there it can hold anything that can fit in the bag while keeping it perfectly 'still'... Till' you suppose some weight limit is reached... Then it'll either turn into an impure shadow and be sullied or... Maybe blowup? Adrienne would probably know.

>>2781044

"She is a most wondrous Mother, is she not? You've asked so very little of me and yet given me so very much: It would be my honor and privilege if you would allow me to make your staff."

Accepting new Actions. It might be prudent just to gut the bag and get on with it- a bag of holding is valuable, yes, but you have clouds and horses.. And hired hands.

But to go in a little more detail: Troll genes are extremely unstable and mutagentic due to their regeneration, so they can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes with the older, more scarred trolls just getting weirder and weirder. (Horns, Tusks, multiple Eyes, 6 fingers, 8 fingers, 10-12 fingers, 3 arms, a cows tail, 2 heads- they can have up to 5 fucking heads, webbed feet/hands, etc.)
They also never stop growing. I mean, they do when they die because they can't hide from the Sun and turn to stone/starve to death because they can't, like, make a long enough grocery run.

Before you head out to go meet up with Adrienne of The Pit at Pug.. You ask the Nyx Nun operating and running the Church in Hurst if she'd be interested in helping them? However, you.. You don't word it like that.
You ask them if they'd be interested in coming a long with you and a Pit Priest to help "Master your Staff". The Nun, completely flustered, is overwhelmed and lacks a proper response, instead: her typically pale Flesh Golem face completely flushed hides away in her black robes and she crawls away, "A-aha..I.. I wouldn't dare- n-no.. No of course n-ot." Thoroughly embarrassed.

Arriving at Pug you're happy to see everything is calm and normal: it stinks just as much as it's always been, but again- the rainy season makes Pug ESPECIALLY stinky with all the filth getting washed out.. Humidified... You're straight to business though and you head over to Adrienne to get them started on your staff.
"Dark Matter.. How miraculous, what a marvelous material." Adrienne's eyes glaze over in delight, they can't help but ask you about the unseelie realm as you hand them the various materials for the construction of your staff. "Ahh.. Yes, a Monochrome realm- perfect, still, peaceful, quiet and kind. Truly serene, was it not? I wish to visit it one day and bask in it's purity.."

Afraid you're all business, the business of saving Gardener- how is he? Is he safe? "Oh please, the little drag queen is inconvenienced at most. Catherine is absolutely starved for Casters: she has him working her orchards like a common hired hand...His nails are getting dirty, that's how Gardener is doing."

I'm not sure we have much reason to fear paladins. I mean they'd probably try really hard to convince us to give up necromancy but I doubt they'd turn to violence if talk failed to sway us. We aren't really evil in average. Hell on a bad day we are probably neutral. But really I think we've garnered more than enough good karma to get a pass from paladins. Which Hunters though would probably try to fuck our shit up regardless though.

She is just grumpy while on duty: Catherine's brood's Vice doesn't necessarily align with how dramatically sexually charged Lady Chevals kept us. "They're more into Gluttony and it's giving me blue balls." It's also a security hazard, but Demons aren't exactly known for playing safe.

Succu-Cheval basically tells you Cheval and Archie hit Catherine's establishment quickly, at once, and from different angles- they then lead and separated the Knights as best they could while leading them into ritual traps prepared by Cheval and Mimas ahead of time. "Oh, uh, Fly Boy was captured by your villager practically the next day. The little idiot rushed off to attack your villager and was over-powered. He's the weakest by far, but he's always had the biggest heart.." Aww, you got a widdle crush? Abloo, blo- "Damn right, what else do you want?"
-You ask her for any Estate Weaknesses or whatever: They're down to 2 Knights and Cheval's old city is practically abandoned. Catherine's remaining Demons are on high alert, but the places 'innocent' inhabitants have mostly fled.

Abel has a sprained ankle, "One of the slaver masters had a Troll in a cage. I bought it. Stomped on it's head 'till my foot bent weird." ...You cannot heal psychological injuries.

When the scream-moaning is said and done and Mimas is thoroughly sexually obliterated in body and spirit (heh).. You ask Lady Cheval if you can have a word with the Tick Knight? You.. Hope she hasn't done anything weird or wacky with them- "Oh, no, no, he's safely confined."

Cheval reaches into her ornate court robes (flashing you a little pale fat titty in the process) and presents you with a fleshy cube. The cube is wrapped with chains and reinforced with small pins placed in key points, finally a brand has been burned on the surface of the cube's flesh. It pulses slightly. You ask her if.. This is the Tick Knight, "No, no, no- God, no, no.. She's sealed safely inside, The Architect and dear cousin Mimas helped me make it, but the design was all me... You see, if we kill the Demons they'll be sent back to Hell and can just eventually be rebirthed or resummoned, so you typically should seal or capture them."

How do you.... Cheval releases a single pin, the Tick Knight can be heard speaking, "I've nothing to say to you bitch." Hello? "F-father?" No, this is Caster. "Oh, my bad, uhh...Awkward. I still have nothing to say to you either."
What's it like in there? Are you, like, smooshed or- "No, I've got like a small single room flat in here, it's weird, but I'm not complaining... I mean, I'm imprisoned, but you know what I mean. Daddy and Mommy brought us out of Hell and then this bitch wants to enslave us, even though there's all this ro-" Cheval puts the pin back in, "You'll forgive me if I've grown tired of her ignorant soap box."

She pulls out another small cube- you only notice it now, but an 'empty' cube doesn't beat and the eye that had gone previously unnoticed is wide open and taking fast back and forth glances almost as if desperately starved for a Demon to seal. "Now, careful not to trap your little accountant in there, hmn?" So, no, how does this work exactly?
"Just draw some blood from the Demon and dampen the eye with it. You then only need the cube to stare directly at the Demon and they'll be sealed inside: you must then wrap these silver chains around it and then further pin them in place- the pins can be selectivly removed to communicate with the Demon inside."
She also tells you if the cube is 'killed' the Demon will pop out.
"You know, some people embed these into weapons to make cursed blades and the like."
>Demon Cube Acquired.

>uh....go home real quick to upgrade troll knight?
>Roll 56- Square Even.. But you don't actually have to fly all the way back home to do this!

While hanging out in court you seance the Avarice and the Twins at home: you'd like them to start work on that mega-super-ultra-Flesh-Giant-Troll-Destroyer.. You know? With the severed hands and.. and.. metal prosthesis that can be changed out.. And the gun-for-a-hand.. "Yes Father, of course Father. We'll get on it right away." The Twins do actually know quite a lot about Necromancer. They don't your creative flair, but their skill is tangible. They get started on it immediately.

>Seance the one weather/wind caster hobgoblin. See how they're doing on their own. They ok?
>Roll 8, 2- Hmn.

The good news is: they're fine, Wind Hob is actually spiritual leader to their merry band of Hobbies.
The bad news is: they've been committing nomadic banditry and have been stealing from the Changelings, Gnomes, and Orcs of Copse while bully Goblin Dens for teen Hobbos with attitude to radicalize into their radical road-warrior ways. They steal mostly the essentials, but if their victims happen to have a little money, well, occupational hazard.
They've got Wargs and everything. They're semi-successful.

Your Staff is done, but Cheval's court apparently have a few gifts they'd like to give you to...Well, you're not adrift between dimensions- you could have been gone for DECADES, so they're happy you made it back safe and.. Honestly I don't know how to feel about this. I'm glad that they're ok and semi-successful at something, but steal in general is typically a no no. I mean, maybe some of those changelings, gnomes, goblins and orcs are dicks and they're getting a piece of karmic justice, but I just don't know. I don't think Cheval actually cares all that much about the orcs getting hurt. They're orcs after all. What I do know is that they will stay only semi-successful, and it will stay that way as hobgoblins are in fertile and the only way to make more is if a troll fucks some goblins and vice versa.

Actually. I've another thought. Everyone knows what's a ligers and tigons? Tigons being the hybrid cross between a male tiger and female lion, while the liger is the hybrid of a male lion and female tiger? What if that applies to troll and goblin copulation as well? Say, hobgoblin offsprings of male trolls and female goblins are more common because a male troll could curbstomp all the male goblins and claim the female? And a hobgoblin offspring of a male goblin and female troll is exceedingly rare because of the obvious?

Fuck am I mixing up the heritage of hobgoblins? Are they Orc x Goblins or Orcs x Trolls or Trolls x Goblins?
>>
Note to self: find and hire vampires and gnomes to create an Art Institution to help Flesh Golems and everyone improve their artistic skills and other misc skills. Might have to look outside of Copse for the best.

Righto, lets go, the copy/past first.

Adrienne, Priest of The Pit has finished your Staff. It's beautiful.

>Your Starry Night: "This staff made of an aborted Dryad clasps tightly a fallen star- contained and tainted by Dark Matter into a very dense and incredibly powerful cosmic medium that resonates with The End of all things. This staff lets you roll any 'weather' affect spell with advantage (clouds & haunt). Once a day you may touch up to (24 small)(12 medium)(3 large) creatures with your staff and cast 'protection from sunlight'- the spell lasts 24 hours and does what it says it does.

>>2781377
>Let's hope for girthy numbers.
>Roll 77- Lucky Numbers.

>Mimas lets you copy over what few spells he has in his Grimoire- not all of them can be translated directly to you, but you make it work:
Book (10/13): Mimas Grimoire, "Mimas has always longed for the flair and prestige of knightly affairs, even in death this trait of his personality has persisted: fashioning himself into a right and proper Death Knight."

>Raise Dead: "Transmutation, Psychic, immediately possess and animate any nearby corpses (up to 125 small, 50 medium, 15 large) into Zombies or Skeletons. These minions are fragile and improperly prepared; they are held together by your overwhelming charisma and force of spirit, and will be destroyed if exposed to sunlight."

>Spiritbrand: "Mancy, Transmutation, Summon from your palms a simple tool made out of pure Spirit. This can be used to make any sort of basic tool or weapon: knife, hatchet, sword, even a shovel, but not something like a bow or a gun. These tools will fade into nothing if you don't hold them. Can be used to add elemental enchantments to items as well. Spirit weapons can be used to stab Ghosts."

>Possess: "Psychic, By making eye contact with, telepathically dominate and command a number of living beings equal to a quarter of the amount of Undead you may 'currently' control (I.E: 1/4th of whatever free space you have). Living beings cannot be 'truly' dominated: they cannot be ordered to do anything suicidal or do anything that violently goes against their ethics/moral code.

But there are more gifts to behold:

>>2781396
>roll 16- Bad loot is still loot.
-Cheval has for you another bottle of that Black Cheval, that Red Wine you love so much. "It's not actually made out of Grapes, you know? It's made out of a kind of Blackberry that would grow in these large, spikey, hostile, brambles around the grounds. It pleases me that you love it so- it's something besides blood that I can still remember the taste to."
You resist the urge to swill it like a filthy dejected street preacher.

>>2781390
>Roll 35- Below Average loot is still loot.
-Adrienne and Abel in collaboration present you with a pouch of unseelie herb seeds. Opening the little leather bag you can't see within due to the perfectly black seeds absorbing so much light, but picking them up they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and textures.. But all black. Adrienne holds your hand, "I'll take you back there some day."
Both of them are capable of telling each seed apart from one another by touch.

>>2781394
>Roll 69- SEXY LOOT.
-Mistress Cheval begs you stay the night (which is their day, technically) as she would like to give you a far more personal reward..... Well, she's lying, because she damn near brings in the entire court for an intimate reunion between You, Herself, Mimas, and Adrienne- whom sneaks their way in a few hours later after things have calmed down because they appreciate intimacy, and can't handle you at your worst.
Mimas does not survive. You leave both ends of him a complete mess- his long, luscious, locks of blonde hair splayed out and his gorgeous blue eyes glazed over.
Cheval is pleasantly impressed, but not overwhelmed. She's had a lot of time to acquire experience.
Adrienna is taken care of: your encounter with them is pleasant, personal, and slow.

You've reached the soft cap of how sexually powerful you can become. Your teenage body cannot physically contain anymore sexual might- you'll just have to wait to grow up if you desire more.

Lilith's followers conduct genital mutilation. They practice ritual circumcision: a practice largely unheard of throughout the rest of the setting, especially because of how 'relatively' easy it is to grow back... and the pain of potentially having to do something like that more than once. They're also Flagellants and have a holiday where they'll publicly crucify their Clerics & Paladins (for a couple days- then they bring them back down), but mostly people remember the genital one.
Because genitals.

>What if Caster cosplays as a knight while the twins dress up as magic squires.

He doesn't have the necessary STR stat to make the bluffs to pass as a Knight possible.
Remember: CHM is certainly a stat, but it can't change obvious reality.
Nobody is going to believe Caster is a proud, stalwart knight, no matter how shiny his Armor is because he's a 5ft6 scrawny nerd.
>>
>>2781496
That's why it's only cosplay. He only needs to look convincing enough right? I assumed after his encounter with Tiamat he would be stronf nuff for actual armor, but I guess he needs more meat on his bones. He could. Disguise as staff as a sword or spear which might lighter than an actual spear. Armor could be....I actually don't know what would make for a good lighter weight knight armor replica.
>>
>>2781496
So size and strength is the issue. Theoretically, what if Caster was able to somehow make an undead that was malleable like clay but was like a giant muscle- no that might not work. That's like the thing.
What about a hollowed out ice golem that's Caster sized and fully covered in metal plating? (I was tired}
>>
>>2781514
We could work for some gains. Tiamats blessing ensures that we will never lose our muscle mass due to being lazy. Some strength training or even cardio couldnt hurt us.

Last post right over here: >>2781449

Yesterday on Caster Quest we had just rejoined ourselves back into Copse after having been temporarily plane shifted to the unseelie realm of black and white shadow.. And upon our return discover we've been missing 4 months of time.
The small town your lair had resided upon had grown into a 'sizable' community known as Hurst with a population of Changelings, Flesh Golems, Gnomes, and a couple of Vampires you don't at all recognize, but they seem to know a lot about you! Seems in your absence the various forces of Copse captured the Insect Knights (well, 3 of them anyway) and had been keeping them under lock and key... Well, the Fly Knight was treated far less better, but we'll fix that soon enough.

Your personal links are here.
Your current inventory & lair information: https://pastebin.com/3xnHBDVs https://pastebin.com/xnLhuuRf
Your current spellbook & undead list: https://pastebin.com/tJNzGa4e https://pastebin.com/3W9U0fbG

Your visuals: http://spaghettiart.tumblr.com/image/175103241507 http://spaghettiart.tumblr.com/image/176099596017

At the moment though you're trying to take things easy: you've got maybe.. 10 out of the 13 spell books out of Copse that you can collect, you just completed your Perfect Staff (given the materials available) and maybe around 18 hours or so ago you quite nearly boned everyone in Cheval's court and reached the cap of how much sexual power a 17 year old can possibly have.
It's been a funny couple of weeks back.

Satisfied with your visit to Pug you cloud up and head home to go safely seal and contain the Fly Knight.. So he'll be 'imprisoned' and out of the way, but also far more comfortable.

While on the way home, though, flying through the sky on your little evil entropic cloud:
>>2783247
>Contact the Butcher Demon, let her know we are ok, in case she heard we went missing and was worried.
>Roll 4- Not great.

An attempt is made to get into contact with Butcher Demon, but something is making it difficult: she's definitely still residing in Copse and hasn't left the region, but there's a lot of emotional interference. Telepathy allows you to gleam the emotional context of someone (it's why telepathy makes lying near impossible) and all you can sense is a lot of anger, confusion, and sadness.
Judging that it's coming from the Rotwood- Butcher may have ran off to find you herself at some point.

>>2783307
>Go stick the Fly Knight into the Demonic Pokeball to recuperate
>Roll 10- Absolutely even.

Finally at home you take matters back into your own hands and meet up with the Fly Knight where he's been for several weeks, y'know, just hanging out. Avarice happens to be there when you arrive: you're genuinely impressed by the fraternity of Demons at times like this. You draw out the Demon Cube (which is NOT a Pokeball, shutUP) and Avarice gets a little nervous, "What, uhm.. Who's that for, boss?" The Fly Knight of course, "Oh, right, of course."
The Fly Knight has actually healed quite nicely thanks to your previous care, even his limbs have begun to slowly grow back, but you need to draw some blood from him either way: feeding the box, letting it's eye bathe in the blood, before it views the Demon and in the moment his reflection shows in the eye of the cube he disappears within. You then wrap it up, pin it, and he's in. No fuss. No muss.
Avarice tells you while Demon Cubes aren't exactly 'ideal', the only bad thing about them is the monotony, "The cube psychologically profiles you: creating an ideal cell for you to stay in to keep you satisfied. I've actually been sealed in one once before: Gnomes embedded me in a safe to watch over their things."

While a good Necromancer always outsources his tasks to others.. You are albiet a little more proactive and have always been more of a hands on kind of Necromancer... But you're also super weak, just a skinny, skinny, boy.
You'd like to rectify this by perhaps designing, molding, freezing, and sculpting a suit of Golem-Animated Plate Armor: big, fuck-off, sturdy gilded and ice-cold armor that you could slip into in the event you ever need to strong arm a situation. Avarice and MagiMayor help you out a bit- the mathiest, smartiest, more design-majored people of your team.

It's been maybe a day and a half, so you hope maybe Butcher has calmed down enough to communicate with.
Reaching out to her however she's anything but calm, immediately she assaults your mind, "Say my name. Do it now."
You do as your told and recite the three letters Butcher had given you- you feel her strong hands grasp your collar and pull out and over to you from beyond space- twisting the area and burning you and the grass around her as her feet touch down to earth.
She picks you up effortlessly and you disapear into her firm, red, tyrannical, cleavage, "I thought you were dead. They kidnapped your brother, Gardener. I've been trying to save him. I'm sorry."
Gardener isn't your brother though? Is that what you thought? "Is he not? He looks just like you. He looks exactly like you." He isn't even- He's a Vampire. "Mimas isn't a Vampire, but he's Cheval's little Cousin?"
That's completely...
You wrap yourself around Butcher. "Yes, better. Good."

You get Archie on the line and he kind of explains, that to most 'normal' folks you were, indeed, kiind of, sort of dead: you had been pulled into another dimension and really what is that but basically dying without being killed? Y'know?
"Mortal Souls when shed naturally drift to the spiritual domains they spent their lives acclimatizing themselves to." Paranormal beings though 'always' get sent back to the realms they're aligned with or created by.
Beyond that though the only person really out of the loop is Eloy and Bee Mom..

You immediately go and see her.
Honey Hill's Bee Woman village has never been so lively, golden, glistening with the business of bees and flowers: the place is and isn't larger than your town of Hurst, but with how short Bee Women are you'd say they're maybe equal in 'density'. Their Queen is there to greet you, with an entourage of strapping young female escorts and that.. Bee Magi you helped her train: seems her entire court has finally been filled out.
4 Months is after all nearly 12 Months in Bee Woman time, but Queen here is used to you disappearing for great lengths of time.
All is forgiven, she knows you're a tough boy. She wasn't worried... Maybe, just a little.

With that guilt off your shoulders you head back home and plan an outing with Butcher Demon into Eldin's Grove for a little picnic and Fey/Beast man survey. Pie in tote and Butcher in hand; the two of you make for an odd couple heading into the woods, oh, what will the towns folk say?
Eldin's Grove is deceptively large: it's deep, it's dark, it has that kind of cool humidity you experienced in the Rotwood, but you wouldn't consider it to be 'chilly' and while it's definitely haunted the place is absent of Undead- a full year of you harvesting it of "resources" having seen to that.
Eldin's Grove population of Fey is quite healthy: Flower Demons, Dryads, a couple of Nymphs, Fairies, Sprites, and Bee Women call the place part of their home. Thankfully no Hags or Trolls. But you're looking for that one Drider...
-The Drider if anything insists you take some of her silk. "For you, I can eassily make an exssseption: ssshawl, sssheetss, robesss, whatever you desssire. Quality all of it." She has a lisp, hah.

Before you head off into town though you have a final request: you want the Drider to make a lovely Shawl for your 'friend'- something soft, white, cozy, and snuggly. The Drider does so without hesitation and gives to you a specatular silk-woven shawl hand crafted meticulously, but speedily, by her pointed clawed hands and spun from fresh Drider Silk. "Makesss good armor too in a pinchhh." It's a kind of breath-y lisp.
Pulling the pin out of your Demon cube, you ask Fly-Knight if he has a message or something he'd like to tell to Candidus, "Papa? You're.. Going to let me say something to him?" Well, you're under house arrest, but you're sending him a gift.. So, soft yes.
Fly doesn't need to think about it, "Tell Papa that I'm safe and that he must be brave."
Avarice and Butcher see nothing wrong with his sentimental words and the Shawl is sent by Raven.

On your way back home you attempt once more to communicate with that Hobshaman to try and convince him to be swayed from his gang from their banditry ways.
He's greatful to you, your people, and the time in your service was peaceful and easy, but they feel if they're to manifest their destiny and preserve their future they need to firmly grasp it with their own hands.
The thrill and risk, the easy takes, the hard takes, they're out in the open: living and dying through their own decisions. Something completely new to them and not so eager to give up.

>Rule and Manage Hurst: get advice if you need it.
>Roll 7, 15- Luckyyy and a high dependable.

It's a new day and you think it's high time you started your Lordly practice.. By lording over these people you've created and the smelly cling-ons whom you've so graciously allowed to exist on your nice land.... You talk to every authority figure you know of: Emir tells you leadership is responsibility and about being a positive role model for others by making the tough, but wise and fair decisions that are deliberate. Archie says leadership is about being the most suitable or competent person for the job: you simply need to be the best.
Cheval says leadership is whatever the strong decide it to be.
Hmn.

Either way you slip on your Court Necromancer Robes and call council at the Church for all the well to do's of Hurst to try and.. You guess delegate some of these weirdos. Honestly, it's just the basics:
-You allow the people to vote for a town council for what it's worth: MM is voted the obvious head, but the Nun gets in as well as several Flesh Golems, Vampires, and one Gnome. No Changelings though.
-The Changelings get their own 'labor' committee since they pretty much run the farmland and pay the blood tax.. With.. With their apparently awful, awful tasting blood. (you've got tons of it, btw)
-Back at home the community was lead by: a lord, a priest, a mage, and a druid.. So you think you've got your bases covered.
-This town is still too small to have any 'graphic' problems. Yet, anyway. So this is thankfully a relatively painless process.

With this 'sort of' out of the way (you made MM to deal with this sort of thing after all), you head back to the lab and take inventory

The Twins used everything while you were away.
Even your beastmen bodies have been 'recycled' and gutted for something of use, just, it's all gone.

The only thing you have left is your Troll, which, thankfully; it's weapon prosthesis and attachments construction are finished: one hand a revolving hand cannon, the other an interchangeable mount that can be replaced with a massive blade or ball & chain. All your Troll needs is to be pumped with Ichor and animated, but that's another project.

>try our hand at something mechanical for a change! Try and construct a radio
>Roll 19- Near perfect.

As much as everyone respects and loves you: no one is going to let you gut the Radio so you can play and experiment with it. Nobody. You've been gone for 4 months and the Radio... Was actually moved to the local tavern; it's become a treasure to the community and has several channels ranging from Goliad's midnight religious broadcasts, Scholomance' dramas, to the energetic play lists from Hershey- the Gnomish Province up north.
MM comes over with a small box of scraps, "Here, Father, I'll show you something fun." MM, displaying his tender side: sits down with you and helps you put together a primitive crystal radio. He doesn't tell you word for word what to do, gently guiding you towards it's completion.
When you're done he takes your hand and you go up to the Balcony outside of your lab: he places his thumb on the wire and with a simple arcane cantrip of sparkling static it comes to life, "It's quite cloudy, but you should be able to get Scholomance from here, Father."
>While not exactly 1 to 1 translatable: you do have some potential for machines.

>>2784395
>Get our twins to help us finish the brew blood and begin the operation!
>Roll 36- You've got enough blood, but there's complications.

You spend maybe a little too much time on the balcony: snuggled in a blanket, hot cocoa, the rain and lightning ambient in the fields, listening to the lectures and the early morning bullshit Scholomance broadcasts around 4am. They've got a Gnomish conspiracy theorist on there and.. He's convinced the Elves are fluoridating the water to hamper psychic ability and to turn the Fishmen Gay. Fascinating.
The next morning you clumsily stumble into the Lab and get to work- Your lovely nurses, the Twins, need to hold your hand a bit.. and you waste a lot of blood.. And maybe the Troll needs some extra.. uh.. touch ups.
But he's up and horrifying. 16ft tall, metal plated, immune to sunlight, dripping black madness, and half shaved.

Another major problem, however, expresses itself:
>>2784370
>Also does this mean there are no longer any corpses left in the mass-graves for us to harvest?

Eldin's Grove has indeed been stripped clean of buried Corpses. Emptied: it's store of cadavers completely exhausted and used to make your towns populous and teach you medicine/surgery... So in a way.. You.. Fixed it!
You're going to have to search elsewhere for 'easy' bodies.. You still get your shipments from Mimas and the Commune though, but it can't replace a MASS GRAVE.

Throughout your searches in Copse you've uncovered a wide and created quite an expansive library of Necromatic knowledge: this province can teach you nothing more about Frost, Rot, and perhaps even Shadow, but through your studies you think there could just be a little more information still hidden away in Copse.
3 Books to be specific and the rumor mill turning within the province speaks of the information you seek residing in three possible locations: Cheval's Manor, Copse(ex-capital and Gnomish community), and long forgotten knowledge in the Industrial Park.
It's up to you to pick these spaces clean.

>>2784496
>study the history of the area, try to find if there are any places in the Copse where great bloodshed happened, perhaps a long ago battle or plague.
>Roll 9- Good enough, at least for the obvious stuff.

While you're studying and trying to find the means to complete your research here in Copse you also look for any historical records or documentation of great catastrophy or other mass graves to plunder:
-Denmire's and Sholt's both have mass graves that could still be relatively fresh. They have groves of their own, but that just means they'll be haunted, won't it?
-Mimas has been sending you bodies dug up by his Peons from Tollund Bog, but.. You've never actually thoroughly searched their yourself?
-Archie of all people admits whenever he wants his mistakes to.. 'disappear' he flushes them down the drain and through the Sewers of the Industrial Park.
-Copse, is, of course littered with the bodies of strangers and transients here and there.. But that's a whole lot of busy work best left to Mound Makers.

>>2784557
>upgrade skull rookery into a tower for one of our twins
>Roll 72- Good, good! Rolling with advantage.

The council comes to you with an Urban plan.
You & MM give Hurst permission to build a A Clock Tower . A team of Gnomes and Vampires design the building before commissioning a team of local Changeling laborers to construct it- the work is completed quite quickly and cleanly.
One of the Gnomes warns you, though, "With urban sprawl in these lands come trouble. I'd hate to see Gargoyles nest in my lovely clockwork.." Not a problem, because you'll be nesting Haunted Skulls in there... You don't tell him this.
You ask the Twins if they'd like it as a study or lab of their own, but they decline- they wish to stay living with you, they don't want to be away from your side.

>Roll 9- Good enough, low average.

You let Avarice know you think you're ready to expand, study, and measure how productive the Demon Tree out back can be and if it could be perhaps providing more for the community.
Avarice takes you out back to the Tree where you're met with... That Centaur you had prepped. Avarice tells you the Twins put him back together, reanimated him, and set him out to do what he knew.. "And, well, he knew Demonology." The Centaur's eyes are white, but he's not blind: his hair is blonde, but it's begun to fade to a kind of dull black-copper, same as his fur.
His caster attire is made up of a waist skirt woven from black humanoid hair, a ceremonial knife, and very modest spellbook written on flayed skin, "Hello Father." He is impeccably polite and will not look you in the eyes.

-Avarice and his Acolyte expand and plant a second Demon Tree that will be 'female'.. As Female as Demons can get, please. "I gotcha, boss, no worries."
-They tell you the Demon Tree 'can' be milked from the breasts that grow off of the top of the tree where it meets with the branches stemming out.
- While you 'can' Drink the Milk from the Tree and it's certainly delicious, Avarice advises 'you' not to consume excessive quantities. "Hellish food stuffs can be addictive. It wants you to be co-dependent. Undead are numb so they're resistant."

Difficult and it isn't. The Twins have a picnic while they watch and applaud you: splitting into several Ice Clones that take with them gangs of undead to survey and pillage.
The Groves are haunted and lousy with 'naturally' Animated Undead in the burdening dark wood's depths: skeletons, zombies, mound makers enabling the process, wisps a plenty. It's rich in resources and spooky'ness, but you'd have to Dominate them.

The Heart of Darkness. Something you've accidentally replicated a few times before to great effect: white bone ash, sullied delicate shadow arched that slowly feeds a dull entropic fire of cold flame to feed a negative, cold, process of reanimation.
It's something you'd like to reliably reproduce at home: it could be used to forge weapons? Materials? Power further..and perhaps even More horrid creations... and machines. Your mastery over Shadow, Spirit, and Frost, though, is far stronger than it's been when you were just throwing shit at the wall far earlier in the year. You think you can manage.

>+New Paranormal Curiosity+

Can also be placed within an Ice Golem to power it quite possibly indefinitely or until it's destroyed."

You take your spoiled spoils, your kids, and you order them to return home.

>we need bigger house bois. Ask Archie if he can design us a new bigger manor for us to live in
>roll 10- Completely middle. No surprises.
Firstly, you'd like Archie, to.. Maybe.. Perhaps.. Build you a bigger house? Maybe a laboratory, medical office, for all the kids... and a study.. and an alchem- "Yes, I can do that. After everything you've done I owe an entire city to you. A bigger house is absolutely no problem at all. I'll write up some plans and have the girls come out in a few days or so to give you the works at no cost. It's the least I can do."
You'll have your own bonafide Manor in no time- a quality befitting a Lord.

Moe eventually wanders in from outside, striding in and over from behind and he towers above and slips his long hands down your body, "Dad grossly overstates how much we owe you. If I could pay it back with my body I'd be left a hollowed out husk of my beautiful self." Archie points his finger and gives Moe a very small static zap. "Right, right.. I'll be good."
Speaking of being good.

>Give a Cold Coal to both Moe and the Blacksmith within your Town.
>Roll 18, 20- Nearly perfect, followed by perfect.

While Moe is there clinging onto you: you fish out of your bag The Cold Coal.. Well, one of them anyway (you made two- ones going to your town) and let Moe you're giving it to him. No fuss. Moe's typically sleepy eyes widen, "I can use that." Moe isn't necessarily magically enclined, but with a Cold Coal such as this- a near literal heart of darkness- he tells you he can forge all sorts of haunted accessories, items, weapons, etc.. "Mimas carriage was made through a similar process I believe. Daddy can enchant items, sure, but 'haunted' items have all their own unique 'qualities', obviously."
Moe squeezes you tightly.. Then runs off to clean out a forge so you can toss the thing into the thing, "It just needs that new coal to get the whole thing going."

>The 20 though.

Back at home you stop by at the Blacksmith operating and managing within Hurst, your Town.
The place is operated by several Flesh Golems of varying make and design, all quite good at what they do, but since you've been away they must introduce you to the Woman who's taught them everything they thought they knew about smithing in the past 3 months. They introduce you to a Monoeye Woman whom is very much alive. They can't sing her praise enough: she wandered into town one day, asked to work here, and now she runs the place. There is nothing she cannot forge and no method of manufacturing she is ignorant of-
Wow is she socially awkward. She's about 6ft, black hair, loaded with freckles, and mutters too quietly to be made out.
She takes the coal and snaps open a small, stone-cube, she turns a dial on the side of it, and mutters something. The Flesh Golems thank you, for her.

Alright, lemme do up the Monster week Prompt.
>>
>>2785001

It's time for Monster Week.

Your stores, corridors, and labratores are filled to the brim with bodies from the remaining groves, your mound makers have been bringing in a few stranger corpses, and Mimas' shipments of bog-flavored bodies have finally reached their maximum capacity. Your lair holds a surplus of Cadavers... So let the week of Monsters commence!

Suggest a horrible, just awful, horrifying, undead creation to create and then roll a d100 to see how well it functions and the level of mayhem: the Undead will then be unleashed upon the Rotwood to plague Catherine's numerous, endless, white-demonic forces terrorizing the wood.

Creativity is encouraged, though I'll fill in the gaps if need be. There's no failures on Monster Week.

You remember those pumpkin headed zombie that we tried to make early one? The ones where most exploded or died horribly except that one that didn't, which tried to jack our weapon and run off? The one Avarice couldn't even try to get close to? Let's make some of them, but purposefully armed and armored and send them into the woods to run amuck.

It's time. This has been the in the making for a while. We got the schematics, we got the mathy people.
Giant frost Wyrm with changeling potion ichor mixed in and a huge cold coal heart made of several wraiths. Like, a lot of them.
Include spell casting Skulls impeded into its surface. Around 50 Skulls spread through the surface of its body. Death vision, frost breath, insest swarms, Rot. You name it. Almost everything we know. Then hollow out a bit of its torso so it does that thing like the mammoth that continually spawned wraiths.

>Suggest a horrible, just awful, horrifying, undead creation
Right. Because it's not horrific enough.

I have an idea. We take the smallest sample from the aliens brain, mix that with other small brain samples of other animals and dead people, make it cancerous with Teratoma, then send it on its way.

Recreate some of those undead centipedes from last time
>>
Well, time to get to work.
Your lab staff collectively roll up their sleeves, Annie puts on a pot of coffee, you tell MM not to bother you with any of that silly townie shit, because it's Monster Week. He'll know what you mean in 7 or so days.

You start with the Swarms first.
>>2785024
>Create a swarm of Wisp stuffed undead, they worked good as kamikazes last time
>Roll 14.
Mimas has been watering down the contents with rat corpses, but it doesn't matter: you gut several dozen bodies with the help of the Twins, creating a hollow cavity you then stuff completely filled with wisps before sewing them shut tight and filling them through their mouth and anus just so they're fit to burst.
They don't behave like bombs though... Some sort of unexpected reaction occurs and the Wisps endothermic fire freezes and melts the bodies creating 'walking' moaning Zombie Wisp Hives: the sick creatures bellowing and groaning out Wisps.
You release them into the woods anyway.

>>2785039
>birds, big undead birds. many burds
>Roll 5.
You just animate a shit load of birds. Like, an absolute shit load of undead birds. They're like mosquitos when you're finished: mindlessly drawn to blood.
It takes AGES to kill enough birds and when you have them they're excessively aggressive and.. Kind of... Fly off into all directions. Hmn.

>>2785034
>Headhunter!
>Roll 40.
Severing a Head you then graft it onto the body of a large spider (like the big ones that live in the rotwood, the bird eating ones that don't spin webs) while letting the spine dangle through the bottom (sharpening the end to a scorpion like point). You twist, contort, and painfully blood let an aggressive and envious shadow from your wrist that possess and jerry-rigs the construction together, but not for long. Avarice, looking over your shoulder, tells you there's an STD in hell that does something like that, "Yeah, it, uh.. It causes your ears to turn into wings, your esophagus mutates into a cock, and then your head rips off of your body to fly off and throat-fuck someone else to complete the cycle." Thanks Avarice, get out of my lab.
You place the spider in a cage.. Then throw the cage into the woods.

>>2785033
>Advanced Scarecrow-Jacks
>Roll 83.
These end up plaguing the Rotwood long after Monster Week.
Cobbling together several scarecrows out of bone instead of wood, you order rope that's been used to hang people- in En and Pug- to tie them together. Their pumpkin heads are carved and then a POE is forced inside there: wearing the Jack and going on to fill out the rest of the skeleton's cavity... You then arm them with scythes, pitchforks, shovels, and axes.. Then get the hell out of there because their pumpkin heads are furious.

>>2785047
>It's time.
>Roll 13. Hmn.

Your most committed creation, though, for the week: the most destructive, the most unstable, is your attempt at recreating a Dragon. A horrible, terrible, unspeakably monstrous creature: you borrow the records from Archie's Zoo collection to design and craft hundreds of molds for all the various neck vertebrae, skulls, spines, that you'll need.. Because you just need from the neck up.
The creature is composed of around 4 or 5 heads centered around one another as if they were legs on a starfish: each head of the dragon breaths a different weapon of either frost, shadow, rot, and or endothermic fire.. You know that's still frost, but they behave differently. The bottom of the dragon is lined with THOUSANDS of finger bones and the top of the Dragon right at the center where the heads 'meet' you place a shrine of piled skulls.
The Dragon on top of several breath weapons can also cast about 3 spells at 2 hour intervals.. Because the skull shrine is built around a chained Wraith. It falls all apart and melts after 6 hours, but holy shit is it ever a stressful and chaotic 6 hours in the Rotwood.

This actually causes an endothermic forest fire big enough for you to see from Hurst and then after that settles down it snows for the first time at Honey Hill in... Ever. Most people had never even SEEN snow before and this apparently ended up causing some crops to fail and some other damages at home but, ababababa- you hand waved and compensated the community. It's fine. It's fine!

Well that was exhausting.
>>
I was going to go do a thing but I just remembered something interesting.

There is this one species of of frogs that broke their hand things to make bone claws. Maybe we can find some frogmen, give them bone claws and have them hopping everywhere.

Well you read it here first folks, that's all you get for this week.

I'd like to thank everyone who participated: whether you were here from the start, popped in the middle, or just dipped in and out to suggest we fuck someone or something- all them rolls and bad/good ideas make the quest possible!

We've got links:
We're Archived: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?searchall=caster+quest so be sure to vote so I'll be happy.
I'm low-functioning artistic and you can witness it here at my Tumblr: http://spaghettiart.tumblr.com/ I'll have all our various updates n' up-doots done some time this coming week... Need to update the spell book, maybe do a new house design, we'll see.

Good night everybody!
I'll be around in case you've got BURNING, ITCHY, question you simply have to have looked at.. Provided they're not spoilery.
>>
Oh. I guess I'll save this for the next monster week.

Can the demon tree make pussy fruits?
>>
>>2785175
>Can the demon tree make pussy fruits?

Nope, Demon rules still apply to non-sapients.

The closest thing it can grow are deceptively innocent looking Butt Fruits.
>>
>>2785168
Thanks for the fun as always, even if I dosed off a bit near the end. Also, shit I'm starting to think we should just send Catherine a letter saying we will accept her surrender at any time and we won't treat her too harshly if she surrenders to us. Because things are notably not going well for her and we can sort of just chuck horrifying engines of destruction at her with more or less impunity. Not sure she's desperate enough to accept it though.
>>
>>2785190
Would be a good way to piss her off and gauge her strength though

I kind of want to adopt the tiefling after we deal with Catherine
>>
>>2785190
I'm getting that impression too.
1.) We got 3 of her 5 knight kids.
2.) Monster Week. Enough said.
3.) 'corrupting' and seducing her sonsband.
4.) None of the major powers of Copse likes her. (Pug, Commune, Shrike, Hill Billies, other demons she kicked out)
>>
>>2785197
I doubt he'd ever forgive us if we killed her. He probably wouldn't like us using the cuffs on her, but would probably maybe be a little cooperative as long as he knew Catherine was safe.
>>
>>2785189
What's the Shrike doing? If he let's us keep some of his feathers, and we grow full Shrike corpses, what will happen to them? Will they become possessed by the Shrike? Remain lifeless?
>>
>>2785207
She get's her own Demon-Pokeball
>>
>>2785189
Will the Cold Coal be a key component to Lichdom?

Has any of the stuff we made during Monster Week escapes out of Copse and into another region? Has any out powers taken notice of our shenanigans?
>>
>>2785216
>Has any of the stuff we made during Monster Week escapes out of Copse and into another region?

Yes, you used mostly small finches and song birds for those Undead birds, and they kind of flew everywhere... So there's a flock of them, just, being a menace and pecking the blood out of the innocent.

>Has any out powers taken notice of our shenanigans?

Scholomance is extremely interested in your work, but Catherine prevents maybe 90% of all the traffic coming into the province from the greater Rotwood, so as much as they'd love to get into contact with you- they can't get through.
>>
>>2785230
Yes or no, are we the most gregarious necromancer in the world right now?
>>
>>2785230
Sounds like we should make some Bird Hunters to clean up that mess

Also, would interest from Scholomance be a good or bad thing for us, like would they want to take control of us or content to let us keep to our own devices here?
>>
>>2785232
>Yes or no, are we the most gregarious necromancer in the world right now?

Yes, but only because there isn't a very big pool of LIVING Necromancers in this day and age. Especially at your skill level.

>>2785234
>Also, would interest from Scholomance be a good or bad thing for us,

Good for some things, bad for others, because of the aforementioned ask above.
>>
>>2785240
What's your opinion of ressurecting horde of cute Chihuahuas and Pomeranians with parana like traits for Monster Week?
>>
So I know no-one commented but, holy shit we have a fuck cyclopse hanging out in our town. Like god damn we couldn't ask for better.
>>
>>2785261
I'm super-excited for sure
>>
>>2785261
I wasn't here for the past fun. What's up with the cyclop?
>>
I 'almost' feel a bit bad for how royally we have screwed Catherine. Things were going 'well enough' for her before we came along. Cheval was in hiding and missing most of the key members of her court, the homunculi were sort of under thumb and she had her tiefling son well on the way to coming of age. And then we come along and start causing all sorts of seismic shifts in the political landscape. Commune #9 is stronger than ever and openly apposing her, Cheval's court is back together and she's working with the Commune #9 and we're occasionally having fun and making a bit of a game sending army shattering monstrosities her way. I guess the moral of the story is don't piss off a nice necromancer who wants to be friends but remain independent by trying to kidnap and rape them into submission.
>>
>>2785287
She just sort of moved into our town apparently and took up work in our smithy. This is very good because cyclopes are amazingly smart and dedicated crafts(wo)men almost with out equal.
>>
>>2785289
It's the nice people you should lookout for.
>>
>>2785292
I really need to get around reading that. Is there anything useful you think we should ask her to make?
>>
>>2785240
How impressed will Butcher be when she sees our Troll Juggernaut creation made from the troll she helped us kill so long ago?

It is an impressive killing machine after-all
>>
Hey, howdy, hello, so a couple of things.
