Her sobs now became cries as she try to muffle her voice yet with no success. You immediately remember when you are still at middle school. With determination, you speak....

Yuu stops her crying. Or at least she try to stop. Yet, you continue.

"I may don't have your strong-willed personality or maybe your lack of fear to meet new people but....I cannot bear to see my friend cry Yuu. You barely cry, in fact you always show a happy face. No matter what the situation is."

You start to come closer. Yuu is now shivering. Still you move forward.

For the first time she lift her head and face you. But her face wasn't of relief but in horror.

"I saw it on the forest. When we were investigating on a sudden spike of corruption all around town, Sachiko told me to go to forest to see any clues. I saw it on the rock."

She scoots a little bit to give you space. Then silence. It's very unnerving and awkward right now that you are meeting your friend after all these months. After a little while, Yuu starts....

"When did you come back?"

"I'm not sure, I'm not even sure about myself. I still remember everything about me yet I'm still not me. Like I'm not human anymore."

Another pause of silence. But you break it or you will run out of words to say.

Yuu nods and you walk away from the steep drop of a mountain you sat on. You telepathically communicate with Marie to go ahead and make a path for us to avoid the ones who are looking for her. Arriving at the safe distance we run to the road until we are near the inn.

"Wow...that is a big inn Junko..."

"Well....uhhhh I won it on a lottery. Somehow."

"Lucky you, let's go in."

Well that was fast. Unless.......

"Junko this is so good. I can't believe you came to stay here."

You look at her munching various food. Your food and Marie portion too. You can hear a growling voice somewhere at the corner of your room but the sound of Yuu eating can only be rival the bottomless pit of Marie stomach.

"So glad that I'm living with Okada or I'll going to be bankrupt if I try living on my own." You whisper to yourself.

"Swallow your food before you speak. God damn it Yuu."

Yuu gulps her food and drink a bottle of water.

Ok guys, we are gonna tell a half truth that for all intents and purposes will be the real thing from now on.

The two comically roll around the tatami floor scratching and slapping each other from the non-existent food. You pour yourself a cup of tea and enjoy the girl fight. Mari kept her advantage by pinning down Yuu slapping her arms and pinching her cheeks apart. While Yuu has to settle for tickling Marie from sides making her slaps to have no power on it.

The fight was finished and both of them are exhausted. Yuu pants heavily from the onslaught of Marie berserking fury all in the name of her food. Marie on the other hand, sleeps soundly her snores are too cute to hear.

"Junko...."

"Yes Yuu?"

"I hate you."

"I love you too Yuu."

Then a knock was heard outside. Opening it is the owner of the inn standing tall.

"Esteemed guest. The visitors time is at end. Please escort the visitor on the door or we will handle it."

Yuu stands and goes to the door.

"We're still going to meet right?"

"Of course..."

"Then....see you at your place."

Yuu walks with the owner of the inn while you tuck Marie on the futon. You also go to sleep making your vacation nearing It's end.

Yuu looks up on the old woman who walks beside her.

"Yes maam?"

The owner drags from her tobacco pipe and blows it, the smoke quickly dissipating from air.

"Do you know....you are talking to a ghost?"

"What do you mean?"

"They are visage. An illusion. I thought you came here to exorcise those bad spirit. Aren't you a shine maiden?"

"Huh?"

"Nevermind then...."

At the front door, Yuu is shocked when a familiar face is waiting at the reception desk.

"Yuu....you are in big trouble. Unless you explain yourself and I'll do the best as I can to explain to the teachers."

"Come. Let's go to the camp site now. I already said that I found you, but they will suspect me since I didn't return for 30 min already."

Walking outside of the inn, I contemplated what did the old lady said. Junko said she is dead. That means she is a ghost? What does it mean?

"Yuu..."

"Yes sensei?"

"I saw you earlier on that mountain. But you are speaking to yourself. I left you just to give you a privacy. But when I returned, you disappeared. I fear for the worst. Good thing there are eyewitness and said you were going to the inn direction. Yuu, If anything bothers you, don't hesitate to talk to us. Alright?"

Morning comes and you woke up early again. Marie, for better or for worse, is halfway on the room. Just how much she trashes in her sleep? Stretching, you do some exercise to wake up your body. Feeling sweaty for a bit, Marie woke up, her messy hair and her drool still hanging in her mouth.

"Come Marie, we're going to bath. Also wipe that drool."

She slurps it. You contort your face in disgust.

She ignores you. Probably didn't wake up fully. Standing up, you help up Marie and go to the bath house where you soak your icky feelings away.

Dressing up your things that you bought on the mall, you go to the receptionist thanking them for their hospitality. The inn owner nods and both of you leave the inn.

"Marie, let's get out of here before the girls may find you?"

"Them? I can fight them. In fact, let's go kill them. It's 3 vs 3 so it's a fair fight."

"Not now Marie, all in time. You will have a chance to fight one of them.

And so, both of you boarded the bus to the city where you will return to your business.

REVENGE!! and maybe a little bit of muffin on the side.

Junko walks to the mountain summit everyday. She always delivers food for her grandmother to feed. One day, Junko finishes all things on his grandma house when a fairy comes closer to Junko.

A squeaky voice was heard but when she look for one, she can't see it.

Looking down, a small size fairy is waving at her. Curiously, she picked the fairy and looked it closer to his face.

"My name is Marie! Please be quick. The prince is going to be married by a mean old princess. You are the one who can save her."

"What do you mean?"

"There is no time. Quick!"

The fairy immediately conjures a...sled.

"What is this?"

"No time, come inside!."

Suprisingly, the fairy has a strength in her that she immediately rode the sled and go way past down the mountain. Bumping rocks and dodging trees, the duo did their best to get past the obstacle. Yet for some reason, they picked a bear and a deer on the way down. Now at the bottom of the mountain, a roof was on their way. The sled go past from the roof and swooshed their way to the street where it leads to the castle. Even though you doubt the durability of the sled which should be breaking from that high fall, it manage to break open the humongous door open to see the prince and the evil princess walk through the aisle. The sled conveniently hit the evil princess and the fairy was also thrown out from the momentum of the crash. Now replacing the evil princess you see that....

"Prince Yuu....will you marry me?"

Your cheeks go red and Junko face come closer to a kiss. Until.....

"QUEEN REI MUFFIN IS MISSING!! YUU IS THE CULPRIT!!"

Walking a little ways to his shooting range, I was thinking what powers should I teach about Okada. Although magic has a lot of fields, still it would be a broad one.

You stick with Okada giving various advice to tweak something out. Although he is working hard, his aptitude in doing it is abyssmal. Still you really can't blame him if his specialty is to print money out of nothing.

Okada concentrates on his hand, the swirling corruptive energy slowly gathers on his palm. Then he combined the coin and the energy inside and crushed it into a fist where the energy is compressed. His palm shakes from the pressure while he takes aim at the training dummy. But something happened.

The energy continues to buildup and threatening to blow. Okada can't control or even cut the the energy until it's too late. You instinctively jumped back and a big explosion boomed the area. You were skidding a few meters out from your position shielding with your arms as the black smoke covers Okada's position.

"Okada! Are you alright?"

"I...I'm al..right....I think."

You immediately rushed to the source of voice. After the smoke clears from where he standing, his whole arm is gone and half of his torso is also gone from the explosion. His jaw and mouth is gone and black ichor is dripping and squirting all over the place.

"I...think I'll hold off some training from now on."

"Are....you going to be alright with that?"

"No to worry. I'll regenerate. Let's go back to my mansion. I'll be healing faster over there. Also tell Goro. He might suspect something."

Reluctantly, he walks with difficulty, summoning a shadowspectre to help him walk. You decide to go inside the house where Goro is running with first aid kit in his hand.

The black blood was gave me the idea but I vaguely recall reading that Junko had a pulse, she eats, (I assume since no one has had an uncanny valley freak out around her) and breathes, so I dropped this theory. Then the whole weirdness with how Yuu, the inkeeper, and sensei happened. Strangely, this happened after Junko would have arguably gained humanity from a number of her actions, so maybe revenge and corruption is the only thing keeping her corporal. Alternatively, it could be a side effect of her tranquility ability: it could have made Junko like Koishi Komeiji, at least to normals.

Looking for the book Mari asked you about, you found it and looked at the cover. It was harmless enough that it could mistake it as a kids story book. Not wanting to open the book afraid of it's contents, you try to open one of her desk that was locked last time. Pulling the drawer, it seems that it's locked. Seems Rei is still bringing that key. Opening the dresser and storage, it's still the same with her winter clothes and some futons are hidden here. Although there is a single box that was cleverly hidden on the side of long coats, you opened it and see various DVD's. You try to stash it away when something caught your eye. Picking the DVD, it has the same title as the book that Mari wanted to fetch you from. The picture is a female? or is it male? Well no matter. You also picked it as well. Going to the Archaeological Reports section where various expandable folders were neatly put in rows. Randomly picking one, you turn a page where various reports of ancient weapons from katana and various Chinese weapons forged in Heian Era. Although some of them was found on the lake buried under the muddy waters, it was also speculated that some of these antiquated broken and rust filled steels could also be dated on Muromachi period where these katana sprouted in prominence. The writings have many arguments about these two era where the early version of what would be the japanese swords of the Muromachi era has already in production albeit only to the officers and the imperial family whereas the soldiers would settle for wooden spears. You close the book looking for more but all of them are just reports of two handwritings which you could guess, from Rei's parents.

I just had a hare-brained idea: Early on I was toying with the idea of using Junko's corruptive aura on the weird perverted boy in school or the overly friendly gym teacher to create a stalker/potential rapist/serial killer to specifically go after our targets. I dropped it after the human traffickers showed up. What if we prune the books specifically to make Rei lust after some of her teammates. Mari is busy searching somewhere on her dresser for her upcoming family reunion, which Mari desperately ask for both of them for opinions for the dress she will wear.

"Junko, I know you like black so much but, don't you have anything besides....black?"

"What is wrong with black? It's fine right? As long as it serves the purpose, it doesn't matter what kind of dress you wear. It's just that black suits me very good and so you are too."

Why does it matter if the shadow that killed us is alive again? Other than for revenge purposes its existence is not relevant because our creation was rather unique. The shadow and Ms.Arc are concerning, but we don't really know much about the shadow and Ms.Arc is unexistant for us right now. As for the Rei thing, if she keeps up like this, she will end up killing herself via Mgical girl suicide or end up selling herself at the cheapest buyer. I originally thought this wouldn't be a problem as Junko was able to just strait up create a copy of Mari's diary without really writing it, so I figured that Marie and Junko could just let their shadows "flow" across the page essentially creating a mirror image of whatever they picture

Granted if it's too much of a hassle we could just make it literotica. My idea was the whole thing would start out like a traditional shojo-ai story with a high school love triangle between the Rei-ish main character, Her senpai not-Sachiko, and her kohai not-Kanna. From there it would slowly descend into depravity. That way Corruptor wouldn't actually have to write out what was going on in it. Sometimes the best description for something is to just leave it up to the reader's imagination. i.e. Homer's description of Helen of Troy, or a Lovecraftian tomb (which is essentially what we are creating just with less horrors from beyond the stars and more porn.) I thought this would be better than just leaving Rei to her own devices to enact her own version of Saki's arc in Emergence as there would be less description necessary: One fade to black when Rei first finds the book, and maybe another when she if she gives in to the urges. Junko could probably work on that, she is just too pure to work on the actual smut parts.

Marie does seem to know how to draw and we could have a fun little outing buying her art supplies. Junko and Marie have been kind of acting bitchy with each other for the past few updates so I kind of want to find out whats been going on Marie's transformation and see if she can shed some insight on the shadow self problem as Marie has Mary in her head. I wonder if Marie is jealous of us being all buddy-buddy with Yuu. I have an idea how we could deal with that.

My theory is the shadow that killed Junko is now the bitch in her head. I assumed the other shadow running loose is Arc. Think about it, if its not just a code-name or a descendant. The shadow in Junko's head told Junko that she is effectively immortal. It's conceivable that Joan was a magical girl and history played its inevitable course ending in burning at the stake. Then enter one, Gilles de Rais, Joan's former commander. It's possible that Gilles became a shadow, with all of his witchcraft and child murdering, and found some way to bring Joan back from the dead as magical girl/shadow hybrid like Junko. Joan then either NOPE'd out of there or had a hand in Gilles downfall and has been cleaning up shadows ever since.

Another thing I've noticed. Whatever magic the girls are wielding seems to be culturally dependent. To the modern day presumably secular girls--they are magical girls who fight shadows. To the old lady at the onsen. the girls are shine maidens who keep spirits at bay. An American girl might fancy herself a superhero that fights aliens. I think that they are different jobs althogether but that can interact between each other. For example, i don't see a shrine maiden being capable of stopping us, but the superhero one definitely could and the holy warrior is debatable if our beliefs affect her power.

that's why i said that the different jobs overlap but they don't necesarily serve the same purpose. For example, the shrine maiden is capable of seeing that we aren't really alive right now but i don't think she could be able to "exorcise" us in any way because we would never allow hher to reach us in a hand to hand combat and we aren't an evil spirit per se. Evil yes-ish, but we still need food and sleep, which spirits do not need.

The interesting thing is that the teacher didn't see us. I want to believe that was part of the tranquility bonus, but i'm not so sure because we managed to interact with plenty of people before and none seemed freaked out by us. maybe its something only special people can see?

Maybe you guys are just overthinking things? What people do with the powers is obviously going to shape what they use it for. The old lady views them as shrine maiden powers and so that's what her generation went and did.
The old lady viewed Yuu as a shrine maiden because that's what people with the light used their powers for during her time.

That was what I was thinking too. It could make us very hard to perceive unless we want to be found and then quickly forgotten. i.e. Koishi or if I recall Kreia was doing something like this for most of KOTOR 2.

The students although half of it by now, are listening to the teachers announcement. Some expresses joy because of a potential 2 day vacation starting today and tomorrow while some of them have faces that feel they have carried the whole world just waiting to release.

"Students are urge to clean their designated camping site and wait for the bus to arrived. Please be guided accordingly, thank you."

"Well that is nice senpai, I think I'm going to sleep all day today. What about you Rei-senpai?"
