You are a shut in living in Sunset Town, a sleepy little town where the sun is either dawning for 12 hours straight, or setting for the other 12... and, strangely, you're the only one who seems to be able to notice this. You've noticed this ever since you were a child, back when things were good. Whenever you would try to explain to friends or family that the sun wasn't acting correctly, that there should be a night, or a midday, they would look at you like you were the crazy one. So eventually you stopped bringing it up.

Maybe it's this awareness that brought about your insomnia. You sleep for an hour a day, never more than that. It's probably no surprise then that you're life isn't going all that great.

For one, you living alone in a shitty one bedroom, one bathroom apartment in the rough part of town. You're pretty sure the guy across the hall is a drug dealer, and the other apartments are home to different tenets every other month.

It's been a few years since you last spoke to any of your family. Friends? Non-existent since school.

So how do you live? Thankfully your shitty apartment is paid for, and you can eek out a living on your 'allowance'.

What's your allowance? You receive a two hundred dollars each month from MediCo after an out of court settlement. You were too young to handle the settlement yourself at the time. A Medico truck's vat of acid crashed whilst you were on your way to school, soaking your skin with it, burning...burning...

Ever since that accident you've been cursed with unusual leathery skin...during your brief time at school they called you Reptile Boy...

So leathery skin. Insomnia. Disconnected from any friends or family, and living by on your Allowance in a shitty apartment. You don't leave the apartment if you can help it, since people gawk at you on the street, and you fucking hate that. Maybe someone with a stronger mind would have found a way to live with it...but eventually you just found staying inside preferable. You spend your days on your ancient PC that can't run anything good, but your internet connection allows you to binge movies, shows, chat online in chinese spaceinvader forums, and generally waste time watching the lives of normal people play out.

Life isn't so great for Reptile Boy, is it?
