“Sorry, invites, only,” you tell him cheerily, readying your weapons again. The trickles of blood from your throat and arm are distracting, but not a huge problem. “But if this WAS a fancy dress party, then you’d totally have earned your way in!” It’s a tough thing to finger-gun while holding sword-hilts, but you’ve long mastered the art.

“Let’s call me a plus one.” Cloaked dude strides in, and you could swear the room just got a little chillier. And... breezy? “I’m here for one of my subordinates... but while I’m here, the Strawhats are welcome to come along.”

The infantry’s attention switch from Roronoa’s struggling form, to cloaked dude, some of the weapons changing direction.

“Stop right there!” Tashigi steps forwards, her sword held high. “You’re under arrest for - whatever you’ve done!”

“Tashigi...” Smoboss sighs, crashing still continuing over the Den Den. Then, louder, “And who the hell are you? Another Whitebeard recruit?”

“No.” Cloaked dude makes no movement, face still amused. “Just a man with an interest in upsetting the status quo.”

“You’re aboard the White Mist, sir,” the Marine tells you, naming Captain Smoker’s ship. “You’re in the infirmary, you’ve been out for - about eight hours now.”

That makes you blink, a little more alert. “Eight - what... happ’n’d?”

“Some kind of Haki attack, sir,” the Marine says, stepping aside to let a harried medic move in to check your pulse. “But the docs say you’ll be fine!”

... You feel 100% NOT fine, as the medic helps you sit upright.

The medic gives you a look so annoyed, it almost matches Smoboss’. “Yes, sir. They’re in the locker next to your bed. Your BODY is fine too, somewhat more importantly.”

You stare at him. He’s clearly insane. On the other hand, your weapons are okay, so your panic dims. A little. “Can I get up?”

“Should be fine,” the medic grunts, already turning away. “I have more than just one unconscious man to deal with, so free up my bed already.”

You push yourself off the bed, checking yourself over. Shoulder and arm are bandaged, along with gauze stuck around your throat, where -

You grit your teeth, looking over to where the medic is looking over a series of beds with infantry laid out, and the door your own infantry guy left through once you’d woken.

Tugging on a clean shirt folded at the end of your bed, you totter over to the locker, regaining your balance to the ship’s harsh sway. It must be travelling at some speed.

You breathe a sigh of relief at the sight of all your weapons, undamaged, feeling far better once they’re safely on you.

So... now what?

Balance mostly restored, you head out into the bowels of the White Mist, looking for a swordswoman who's probably going to punch - no, stab you.

But how were you to know Roronoa Zoro was a damn pirate now?! It's totally not your fault! Mostly?

Asking a passing Marine tells you that Tashigi is currently on deck, talking to the navigator. Where you're actually going is another issue, especially as you're teeeechnically not under Smoboss' command, but... we'll, you're not going to complain. Unless you get punished for dereliction of duty or going AWOL.

... You really hope Smoboss already sorted this out with the brass. And that he's not going to murder you himself.

Emerging into sunlight, you quickly spot Tashigi among the Marines working on deck, and hurry over. She looks unhurt, but tired, and her sword is sheathed at her hip.

She turns, catchignsight of you and sending a reassuring smile as she waves the navigator away. Maybe she doesn't want to murder you? "I'm okay. We were out for quite a while though - I only woke up myself about twenty minutes ago."

"Yeah, about that... what the hell happened? I remember the cloaked guy talking and then..." You shrug helplessly.

Tashigi scowls, hand instinctively reaching towards her sword. "From the description I gave the Captain, and the medical officer's findings, it seems we were hit by a wave of Haki, which knocked out everyone in the room. Possibly not Roronoa Zoro, I suppose." She reaches up to adjust her glasses. "He left most of the prisoners in their cells, but apparently took the Strawhats and one of the Meowka pirates with him... likely the Revolutionary."

She leans in close, whispering. "From what Captain Smoker says, it sounds like that man was the Revolutionary leader, Dragon. He definitely has some links to the Strawhat pirates - he stepped in at the execution grounds and saved their Captain, too!"

Your eyes widen.

You sassed the Revolutionary Dragon. And the Strawhats are... what, Revolutionaries themselves? No wonder Roronoa joined their crew, if it was some kind of idealism. How are you even still alive?!

"That's insane..." you mutter, bewildered.

Tashigi nods. "We're all lucky to be alive. Captain Smoker is- well. Furious doesn't begin to cover it. Apparently as soon as he got back to base, he loaded almost everyone aboard and took us straight after the Strawhats. We're chasing them towards Reverse Mountain right now."

Tashigi looks at you with confusion. "If you mean those two new recruits with the... odd headgear and the sunglasses respectively, then yes, they're aboard. They seemed quite worried about you... And also Roronoa for some reason. Maybe they met as bounty hunters?" She shrugs. "The Captain left some infantry at base to look after the rest of the prisoners, but we've got the Whitebeard spy and affilitiates aboard, in case they think of attacking the base again. It's really just a skeleton crew back in Loguetown until we get back, though."

You nod. "That makes sense. I guess it won't take long to track the Strawhats anyway."

"Hopefully we'll get them before the Mountain, but our navigator says Smoker gave orders to chase them over if necessary. They got a few hours headstart on us, and their ship is smaller and lighter, but... we'll see what happens."

She sighs, looking out to sea, the water stretching for miles with no sight of a ship. "I hope we get back soon... I ordered a new polishing cloth for Shigure."

Roronoa Zoro is having a bounty poster made, as we have his picture on file. Sanji and Nami are having theirs made, though we still need pictures for them - apparently they have another crew member, though the dockworkers couldn't give many details beyond a male teenager with a long nose. I don't think they have bounties set yet."

You snort. "Not like they'll need bounties for long!"

"True enough," Tashigi laughs, cheering up a little. "We'll have them soon, but just in case."

"And, uh... do you know if Smoboss brought Klaus along?"

"Not that I'm aware... I don't think he had time to find him, considering how fast we moved, and Klaus isn't actually a Marine anyway..."

You don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved. "Ah, well. This'll be a nice vacation from him for a day or two, I guess."

The pair of you take a moment to bask in the knowledge that Klaus is absolutely, totally, nowhere nearby.

Apparently these are magic words, because after a brief pause, the words, "Get in here, brat!" are... well, still yelled, but a lot calmer. And kind of relived.

You shove the door open and enter to see... wow, that's a lot of paperwork covering the desk. Smoboss seems to have abandoned it in favor of spreading a massive map across a table, chewing furiously on three cigars as he glared down at it. At least he's down to three?

At your entrance, he glances up, running narrowed eyes over you. "Well, you're alive, at least." He sounds more disgruntled than angry, now. "How the hell did you get captured AGAIN, brat?"

Vivi, King Cobra and even the Strawhats might get in some very hot water over Alabasta, since the world government is only going to see members of the Revolution interfering with one of the 20 founding countries.

Enies Lobby is going to be 10000% more inflammatory than it already was, because again its going to be seen as the revolution giving a gigantic middle finger to the marines, and by extension the world government.

I can also see Sanji making it into the eleven supernovas, considering the possibly inflated bounty and the fact that Kidd and Killer are dead. This may bring him to the attention of the Vinsmoke's much earlier than canon, especially if they get a good photo of him.
