Try the new and exciting character-driven capeshit quest in an original universe that has yet to have its first official superhero or public persona with any sort of powers

Previously on Persons of Interest...
After saving your sister, Cam, from mutilation from a punishment dealt out by your father and killing him in the process you are now under house arrest in the hospital, with a court date next week.
It was a situation that was complicated enough, but on top of it all you and your sister developed super powers. Cam‘s power seems simple enough as she was able to make herself and some other objects invisible, while yours was more intricate.
You can feel out to people and link with their bodies, then you‘re able to take on any wounds they have on them for yourself, which you then heal from within a few seconds, but not without feeling all the pain associated with it.
Your father‘s power was more sinister than either of yours. He could control people with his mind, and you still feel his effect on you, especially when someone offers you anything you are reminded that “we don‘t take hand-outs”.
Due to the fact that you’re a catholic minority a man approached you and offered you help to give your father a proper burial. Agreeing to it, since you feel everyone deserves one, he continues to talk about your own faith. Since you were baptised, you ought to have godparents who would have sworn a religious oath to protect you would your parents die.
That was after you decided to probably give the foster care system a try, but you haven’t really met anyone there who potentially could take you in.
For the moment you opted to both ask your foster parents to be found while continuing to wait for your godparents to be found, probably to take your pick later...

And now we continue...

“I don’t know...”, you look down to the ground. Foster care was something where people would sign up to be parents. But then again, so would your godparents have, right? And it was your mother that picked your godparents. “Yeah,” eventually you nod, “I’d like to find them. It’s not like they will have any obligation to actually take us in, or that we have to stay with them for that matter.” You talk a little bit more with him and decide that you do try to remember his name. That being William Hoffman.

You rejoin Cam at the small artificial pond and tell her about it. She was her usual self and barely said more than a simple “okay”. Neither of you really got to know your mother. You were just five years old when she died, an age where you still just worship your parents without questioning their character. You barely know if she was a good person herself, much less if she’d have chosen a good person as your godparent.

You want to think that she was great, but then again, she married your father. A part of you wants to believe he wasn’t all bad and he didn’t mind-controlled her into marriage. Maybe he just turned mean after she was gone? A reign of evil started by the death of his love came to an end by his own... brought upon by you.

And now you have to keep your eyes open or you’ll see what you did to him again.

Cam punches you in the side. “You okay?”

Are you?

“I killed someone, Cammy.” you let slip out. Only after it was done you realize how crude it sounded, and how it basically came out of nowhere for her. But what’s done is done.

The hand that had punched you in the side remains there, now hanging onto your shirt to not succumb to gravity while her own gaze falls to the ground.

You’re not sure why, but you continue. “A shotgun blast is not pretty... I still see what I did before me like...” ...like it was yesterday. You chuckle slightly, or rather, just a gust of air escapes you in a semblance of a chuckle. Having no idea what it is you could say next you just state, “I can’t sleep.”

“Yeah,” Cam nods. “I noticed.” She looks back up at you. “You snuck out last night and healed people.” You just wanted to say something in response but she continues. “They talked about some miracle, but nobody suspects someone did it... I think.” She looks to her arm that was still in a sling. “Which was why you didn’t heal me specifically, I figured.”

Your mouth hangs open for a moment, but you remember that one shouldn’t point it out when a kid that doesn’t talk or doesn’t talk a lot, does just that. “Yeah,” you nod, “that’s right. I- I hope you’re not mad at me because of it.”

Cam shrugs (with one shoulder) “I know why.” While she said that she does look down, so her emotions betray her.

“You’re still disappointed though, aren’t you?”

Another shrug, “Maybe.”

You chuckle for real this time. Her unspecific answer was kinda cute. “I’ll only heal you a little, making it faster, but I’ll not allow you to develop any scar tissue.”

Again, she looks down and mumbles. “Scars are cool.”

“You’d like to have a cool scar?” You laugh and nudge her a little. “Well, not on my watch.”

Cam managed to cheer you up again and you feel good enough...

You know he’s only your public defendant, but he still takes an hour away from his day to talk to you. And that is after you already slept through your appointment in the morning.

The biggest issue he still sees is when someone tries to get you to say the wrong thing. While trying to protect you from leading questions, which are those where the examiner suggests the answer already, you still need to be on guard. Apparently “leading the witness”-things like you see in courtrooms in movies are different in direct examinations and cross examinations. To be honest, you still are not sure what’s the difference, but what you do take away from it is not saying stupid stuff or giving away any rope which they can hang you with.

Before, you were just told that you’ll probably will have no issue with your defense, but now you feel confident about it yourself. Simply hearing again and again that you’ll be fine doesn’t help much if you are not convinced yourself, but now you really have tools in your hand which you can use yourself to fight for your freedom.

The day comes to an end and you’re informed that Cam can be discharged from the hospital, but similar to you, who only seemed incredibly fatigued and malnourished, they’d like to keep you for an additional day.

What do you do?

Cam and you walk to the hospitals pay phones, your bags, as spartan as they were, already packed. Dialing the number Child Protective Services gave you you get second thoughts about while it’s ringing on the other side. It’s late, maybe they won’t pick up. You’d probably be relieved by that fact, because if they do pick up you’d need to explain your situation once again.

Thankfully all you had to do was say your name and ask for the person you ought to contact from the business card you were given by Dr. Carter and you were quickly connected to someone who could help you. The woman on the line was familiar with your situation already and only briefly asked you why you wouldn’t stay in the hospital, but she thankfully didn’t ask why you wouldn’t want to go home.

You’re given an address for a shelter, and a name whom to talk to, but are warned that you’ll not have a whole house to yourself. Sharing a place... you don’t think you’ll mind, as long as you and Cam are given the appropriate space.

The police officers kinda complain, since you’re technically under house arrest. But again, they were lenient and bring the two of you to that ‘Safe Place’ shelter.

As you walk up the driveway of that shelter, with your bag over the shoulder you already know you’ll have to make at least one errand run back home. A moment you dread, and one you look to postpone for a long enough, but one that will have to come.

You sigh and Cam punches you. “What?”

“What what?”, you question. In response she does a mocking sigh. “The sigh? I dunno... Not important.”

“We should be honest with one another.”

“That we should...”, you can only agree, you made that promise. “That we should.”

“So?”

You shrug. “We will have to go back home eventually.”

“So?”

For a moment you’re not sure why she questions it.

“Well, it’s where...”, you decide to beat around the bush. “it happened.”

Cam pauses for a moment before giving a single nod and continuing the same way. “So?” But thankfully she adds more to it. “It’s... our home, is it not?”

“It is, but... we’ll go to a foster home anyway, or to our godparents. We don’t have to ever return there.” You stand in front of the shelter and wait before you enter to finish that conversation. “We don’t have to go to any place with bad memories associated with it.”

She looks down. “My things...”

“I’ll go grab your stuff for you, don’t worry”, you reassure her to which she nods. You have barely any way of knowing if she wants to go back or not, or if she’s just her usual self. “Just write down everything you need.”

If it would be too much of a hassle, she’d ask to come along if she truly wants to, but she just nods and says, “okay.”

Giving her a smile you ring the doorbell and test if the door was unlocked- which it wasn’t. Probably better that way. Even its name is ‘Safe Place’, so why would it be unlocked?

You say hello to the family already living there but don’t share any of your plight with them. The less people know the better, plus it’s nice to have someone around who does not know you’re a murderer.... the mere thought gives you another jab into your mood.

Before you are done getting completely settled Cam already hands you a sheet of paper with a list... which only consists of clothing items and the one toothpaste, because she doesn’t like the one you have at the moment. On one hand it was very pragmatic, on the other kinda sad that she wasn’t more sentimental about her possessions. But most importantly, the toothpaste is something you want to take care of as soon as possible. Thankfully it was Officer Jackson who will watch you for the rest of the evening.

You step outside and walk straight down to the undercover car where Officer Jackson sits in casual wear as to not cause too much suspicion.

“N’evening”, you greet him.

“Chris”, he gives you a nod, “what can I do for you?”

You take out the small list, “Cam needs some stuff from the house, and I... I need some stuff too. Maybe I should have thought of that before coming here, but I... don’t really want her to go back.”

He takes a deep breath, almost a drawn out sigh. “Sure, buddy.”

Smiling you walk around the car and step inside. For a moment you’re happy that you once again got your way, but feel bad about it immediately after. Are you manipulating people into feeling bad about you to then try and help you? But, manipulating people into giving you stuff is not taking hand-outs at least.

“Are you okay?”, Officer Jackson asks once he notices your discomfort.

“Of course”, you lie. The closer you are taken the more you feel like throwing up again, but you keep it down successfully. You might not be a convincing actor though. “I’ll be okay.” As if.

It was already dark when you arrive, so no neighbors were nearby to get their spies on.

You step out of the car and cautiously approach the front door, taking in the sights. As if on autopilot, you unlock the door and open it up.

“Chris!”

“Hmm? Yeah, what?” The rushing of blood in your ears prevents you from hearing him calling out to you immediately, and now you’re just confused.

“Are you sure you’re okay?”, he asks.

“Yeah, I...” you look do the floor where most of the blood has tried already, “I dunno, I thought... like there would be a chalk outline or something.” You turn back to him.

He shakes his head. “That’s only done if-” He pauses since he didn’t know whether you are actually interested, or if it was just a random statement, but seeing your curiosity sparked he continues. “the person is still alive. Otherwise photos of the scene will be taken and outlines are not necessary.”

You genuinely didn’t know that... but in retrospect it’s something that could be considered almost logical. “Thanks”, you thank him for that bit of trivia.

Entering your house further you pick up all the cash you know is around, the clothing and toothpaste for Cam, and the french book you bought a lifetime ago.

What else are you looking for? You may not come back here in a long time.

Moving through all the clothes that still fit you properly and you remember Cam wearing recently you notice that neither of you really owns much of anything except books and board games. Well, Cam did have a shoebox filled with notebooks, which in turn were filled with labyrinths.

Labyrinths... Well, she just drew over the lines of graph paper, but looking at them you have no way of solving them without investing a lot of time in it, because- well, it’s a labyrinth. You don’t know if this should be disturbing to you or not. They are just doodles, not a symbol of her feeling of being trapped.

You’re not sure if they have sentimental worth to her or not though, but she did keep them and stored them in a shoebox.

>Bring them along.
>Leave them be.

Next up was your fathers room, and you are looking for something specific. A picture of your mother. You barely remember how she looked like, you wouldn’t even be able to place if she had brunette or red hair, only that it was long and curly. But after that your memory did not serve you any longer.

He didn’t keep photos of her around, he barely kept any photos around, but again, you can’t help but wonder if her loss has hit him extraordinarily hard.

Eventually you find a photo album lying atop of a small number-lock safe you don’t know the combination to. Wiping a finger over the albums cover you can tell it hasn’t been looked at in a while. But it was only a small film of dust, so you can’t claim that it laid around idly either...

You hesitate to open it. There would be more than just photos of your mother in there. But some of him as well, and you don’t know if your ready to look him in the face already. Even if it’s just a photo...

>Take the whole album.

You... can’t.

You just don’t have it in you to open the album up to look at your father again. The most you could do was open it up shortly to see that it was indeed a photo album. Bagging the whole thing without looking at it further you walk outside again.

“You done?”, Officer Jackson asks to which you simply nod. Cam is rubbing off on you, if you start to only respond with as few words as possible, or none at all in this case. He helps you load the duffelbag into the back of the car, and you’re off again.

During the trip you have the leather bound album resting on your lap, both unable to open it and unable to simply put it away. You have no idea why you’re even afraid of the contents... Well, when you think about it two things come to mind. For one, you’re afraid the image of what the shotgun did to your fathers face would jump back to mind, but that happens without tempting fate and opening the album.

The other possibility was that you are simply afraid of seeing... nothing but a normal family. A young couple happy together, and then adding a son up to him being 5 year old. On one hand it feels like you’d be invading someone elses privacy, because you... you couldn’t have possibly been part of a normal family, right? On the other... you might see your dad being- not the monster that you... /want/ to remember him as. Because otherwise you would have killed a human being.

You clench your fist over the leather and close your eyes. Your thoughts were running circles for a day now. While it feels like you take so many steps, you barely make any meaningful progress, and it’s starting to piss you off.

“You okay?”, the officer asks as he seems to notice your distress.

You shrug, “I killed my father just 24 hours ago.” What else could you say?

“Oh- Ah, yes- I see.” He clears his throat. “Have you thought-”

“I don’t want to talk about it.” It’s not like you don’t value advice, or everything the police had done for you. But now you just snarked at him. “Sorry... I didn’t mean to be rude, but I just... really don’t want to talk about it.”

“No problem, you need your space, I can understand that.” Keeping his eyes on the road he mostly nods to himself. “But whenever I’m the one to watch you...” You really don’t want to talk. “just know that you’ll have a taxi-service.”

Great... more niceties given to you even though you were rude to the person in question.
>>
Back at the shelter he still helps you carry the dufflebag and the two suitcases to the door before you ring the bell.

It only takes a few seconds until you hear fast footsteps from inside and Cam opens the door. “Chris!” And she tackles you into a forceful hug. At least with one arm, the other was still in the sling and now wedged in between you two.

“Everything alright?” you immediately ask. “Did something happen?” You’re on alert. What could have happen for her to immediately run to the door to get to you... and away from them? Anger already wells up inside you before she answers.

“July ordered pizza”, she explains.

Wait, what? This doesn’t align with your train of thought. “What?”

“Mushrooms and ham,” she continues and lets go of you. “your favourite, right?”

Your brain needs a moment to catch up, “Pizza? Yes. Ham and mushrooms, prosciutto e fungi in italian, also known as Pizza Regina.”

“bro shut up a fun guy”, she mumbles in repetition.

“Prosciutto e fungi”, you correct.

Cam nods. “Pizza Regina.”

You chuckle. “Correct“, you praise her and look over her shoulder to see the mother of the family that’s living with you. “You ordered pizza, Julia?”

“Ah, yes”, she admits, taken aback by your accusatory tone, “that’s not a problem, is it?”

>“It’s junk food, isn’t it...”
>“You could have waited for me.”

You keep staring her down for a moment. You don’t even know why you’re angry. Cam ordered some of your favourite food in existence. But you don’t like... people deciding stuff for you. You ignore her for a moment and turn to Cam again. “Pizza your idea?”

Cam shrugs and looks back to Julia. “said I should do something good for you.”

Seems your emotions misfired here again. Your favourite pizza was just Cams idea of doing something good for you. Something good from someone whom you actually want to be receiving good things from.

“Then it’s no problem at all,” you pat Cam’s back and give a smile in direction of Julia. “Thank you.”

You gave her the first genuine thanks you have given in quite a while. No politeness or sarcasm, but genuine gratitude for someone’s action. Ironic that the root of it was someone guiding Cam on what to do.

“Uhm- you’re welcome”, Julia answers, a bit unsure about your emotional change, but she shrugs it off, “would you like some help with those bags?”

You look down to your luggage, and wonder for a while before nodding. “Sure”, you agree and inform her of them not being heavy due to the fact that they mostly contain clothes.

Just after you get the bags into your room the doorbell rings again and your pizzas arrive. Seeing no reason not to, you join the three headed family in the dining room with Cam.

They had already set a table with proper cutlery- something you never ate pizza with. You always had them sliced and ate with your hands straight from the box. But then again- these ones aren’t pre-sliced.

Cam still has arm in the sling, but it didn’t bother her much. You were just about to stand up to help her but she folds her pizza in half, and then in a quarter, before picking it up like an almost regular lice and taking a monster bite out of it. Well, that’s... an option.

She was looked upon with a mix of emotion, and an odd silence was maintained until one of Julia’s kids – you forgot his name – mimics her and folds up his own pizza.

“No, Joe! Eat properly.” Julia stood up to walk over to – Joe, you guess his name is – and weakly slaps his hand. “Come now.” She folds the pizza back up and cuts it for him.

You watch her while she does that. She totally indirectly called Cam out on not eating properly. A fact that bothered you way more than it does Cam, who barely seems to have even taken notice. Your eyes meet with Julia and you narrow yours slightly, glancing over to Cam, before going back to Julia. She averts her gate and presses her mouth closed while silently cuts the rest of the pizza.

You take a breath and begin to slice your own up into sixths as good as you can and eat like you’d usually do.

Only Julia’s kids talk to one another while she was silent. Cam never says anything anyway, but she was not entirely oblivious to tense atmosphere between you and their mother. Then... she chokes.

You jump up almost immediately. “Cam!”

Thankfully she spits out the too bite that was way too big for her and clears her throat.

“Everything okay?”, you ask her to which she nods. “Good. But... maybe just slow down a little, alright?”

The rest of the Dinner goes by pretty uneventful as does the rest of your stay with the family. You kinda made it clear to Julia that you’re not exactly looking for her parental guidance, neither over you nor Cam. It’s also clear that she has her own issues to deal with. You also tapped into their bodies for a moment to see if any of them is sick or has powers themselves, but find nothing.

After you deemed them to no longer be interesting, you mostly focus on Cam and yourself. Sure, you still eat with them and indulge in some boardgames, have genuine fun, but primarily because it was Cam who destroys you in games of Risk.

The next day was a Friday, and you remember that you probably still need to pick your locker clean in high school since you’ll probably be going to another one once you have a foster home... at least you hope so. You really want a new start. A place where nobody knows you or Cam.

Friday afternoon you got a formal appointment with your psychologist Dr. Carter. You like her. It’s her job to be sympathetic and seem trustworthy, but somehow the mere fact that you barely know anything about her makes it easy to pour out your own thoughts and experiences. You’d not be able to do that with someone you already know, even Cam. But, again, it’s Dr. Carters job to bear all those thoughts you tell her, while Cam is someone you kinda want to protect from it. Sure, you had been honest with Cam that you can’t sleep well, but you didn’t elaborate on the image that plagues you.

Dr. Carter also agrees that you should have a fresh start in school and was already looking for candidates for foster parents.
>>
There is one couple in their sixties who have had eleven foster kids that so far, five of which stayed with them until they were 18 or older. At the moment only two girls, a 17 year old, and a 21 year old stay with them. However, the older one is unofficially already moved in with her boyfriend. They also live in a school district with one large school complex, which means you’d have the same school route as Cam does, and while she’ll be in a different building, she’d still be close. But Dr. Carter thinks that they are no longer looking to take in more children, but she thinks they could be perfect for you.

>She’s right, they sound perfect.
>If they’re don’t want anyone, they don’t want anyone.

Another couple, quite a lot younger, only in their forties, have also taken in a lot of foster kids, she hadn’t counted, but at the moment there are five kids living with them, aged 8 to 15. They live on a farm and, while they have the space and money, it may be a little crowded for your tastes. And the schools you and Cam would be going to wouldn’t be the same.

>Many kids means you won’t stick out much, sounds good.
>Nah, it’s too crowded. You’re not exactly looking to make seven new people your new family, and likely they may get more kids too...

>[more options, write-in, what family are you looking for?]

>>She’s right, they sound perfect.

I like the older couple, city and the same school as Cam means we can keep an eye in case she is bullied or something

and we can help the old couple with whatever health problems they may have if they are nice

>She’s right, they sound perfect.

If they can't we should look for a family where we could study at the same school.

Before she could even lay out more you already like the first option. “Hold on, the first couple there actually does sound amazing. The- I mean... I guess any school district where I’d be able to look over Cam a little more closely- does that sound overprotective? Like, I- I do trust her take care of herself, but-”

Dr. Carter just smiles.

“You have something profound to analyse about me, don’t you?”

“You are smart, Chris, you should know the answer by now.”

“That I-”, you sigh, “That I already know the answer, yeah. so... Am I overprotective?” She turns her hand up to show her palms. “Okay, so... what do I even mean when saying overprotective? Like when...” You bite your lip and think, before admitting that you come up at a loss. “I don’t think so. I just want to be there when something happens, when she needs me. I want to be in range.”

She nods. “To be there when Cam needs you.”

You open your mouth ready to counter what she said, but shut it again.

“It is what you said, and, while true, it’s your only reason.”

You scratch your head and sigh again, “yeah, I-” As you chew on your lip she continues for you.

“You don’t want to lose her,” she tells you. As you have nothing to retort she follows it up. “The thought of losing her even terrifies you. But you also don’t want to stick to close, you just want to have her know that you are there if she would need you.”

You narrow your eyes. It’s more true than what you said earlier, but... “how does it differ from what I said?”

She chuckles lightly. “You admit that ‘being there for her’ is almost a selfish act. It’s like the lie that I told you when we first met. Does a doctor help his patient for a pay check, because it’s rewarding for themselves? You can certainly think that way, and you tread this road right now. You want to be there for her, maybe a little bit too much for your own sake than you do for hers.”

You look down on the floor. That’s certainly... What... Huh?

“Your emotions are in turmoil. ‘What difference does it make?’ is a natural question to ask. So, what is the difference if you are there for her for your sake or for hers?”

“One’s, like... mean spirited?”

She raises a finger and gets your attention back properly. “And there you have your conundrum.”

You think for a moment. “I think that... being there of Cam is... bad? But it’s not though.”
>>
“It’s not.” She nods. “But you somehow talked yourself into it through that path. The easy answer is to just tell yourself that being there for your sister is the good thing that it is, but you can’t get over the hill because you feel it’s a selfish act. So, let me ask you to look at it from a different perspective. Doing so is self-care. You realize your own need and satisfy it. You want to be a caring person and you can be, you’re allowed to. Allow yourself to take care of yourself, even if it means having to take care of your sister.”

“Tsk”, you click your tongue and roll your eyes. Dear God, you’ve been an idiot. As simple as that a major root of self doubt has been plucked from your heart. In retrospect you don’t even know how you could have been thinking it was bad. Well... you weren’t thinking it was bad, you were feeling it. She just put your feelings in words and then solved them. Damn, she’s good.

Dr. Carter smile, “How are you feeling?”

You shake your head and grin too, “kinda stupid, really.” You chuckle, “but better.”

She nods, “That’s good. However, I believe we got sidetracked a little. We have met to pick out a potential foster home for you, have we not?” You nod and she moves on. “So, would you be okay if I call them right now to see if they would still take in a pair of siblings?”

Oh wow- That’s kind of sudden. “I- I don’t know if...” You chew on your lip again.

“There’s no reason to be nervous. I can make the call later, yet they probably want to talk to you. And, you will meet them sooner or later, will you not? I can give you some time and consult you on what you may want to say first to make a proper impression, of course.”

“No, Let's have it now”, you feel confident “Consult me, doc.”

I don't know what it's supposed to be said here

I guess we have to be honest to them but I don't want to be the one to tell them we killed father.
besides from that, we can talk about our love for french lenguage

>I guess we have to be honest to them but I don't want to be the one to tell them we killed father.
that would be information that they wouldn't "need" to get, but if you move in with them soon they will know that you have a court date
you are able to move around it and simply say that your father was abusive and no longer able to take care of you, which is honest but not the whole truth

>besides from that, we can talk about our love for french lenguage
pointing out your good qualities, nice touch

well that is a good suggestion

suddenly realize that our fear of crossing dad prevented us from doing interesting things

I guess we can tell them things we like to do and talk about Cam too

Saying that he abised and thretened us both is good.

Answer whatever mundane questions they may have like sports, food and music, if asked about our future tell them we probably want a carrer in the health sector(heh)

Tell them about our sister, that she is quiet but very sweet

>suddenly realize that our fear of crossing dad prevented us from doing interesting things
if you want to say anything about it, I gotta know what it is you want to say

>I guess we can tell them things we like to do
as you just said there isn't much.
Chris wasn't much characterized in terms of hobbies. French and maybe music, but that's it.

>talk about Cam too
what do you want to say?

what are the answers, except ham and mushroom pizza?

we can say that dad didn't like that we did many things and irt often made him angry

we did manage to slip a harmonica and played it in secret when we were not at home

we liked reading and watching movies too, we can be a bit of a movie nerd since we didn't leave the bedroom much
>>

As music goes I say we like some classic rocks and music to relax
We don't watch much sports but we would probably like to try cycling or running maybe.
Let's see, we have good grades probably and we try to listen and watch stuff in french to practice.

>we can say that dad didn't like that we did many things and irt often made him angry

alright alright

>As music goes I say we like some classic rocks and music to relax
almost less of an option.
Music your father didn't approve/you simply haven't had available
music taste solidifies when you're in your early teens, and if you never had the chance to listen to other stuff, you won't like it that much either.
The most "out there" stuff Chris may like is Weird Al, but that's because he's doing parody of songs he already likes.

>We don't watch much sports but we would probably like to try cycling or running maybe.
no bike, and running not as a sport, but running due to circumstance.

>we liked reading and watching movies too, we can be a bit of a movie nerd since we didn't leave the bedroom much
>Let's see, we have good grades probably and we try to listen and watch stuff in french to practice.
the story's placed in ~2000, it's not like he has internet to stream movies in french, so where would you get french movies, also no TV in his room. But your dad didn't mind if you simply watch with him, although you never really got to pick the station.
