Last time, you learned the localisation of five Wells of Magic in the north but the entrances of the ruins are locked, no one can enter and you don't know which god you could communicate with once you are inside. You also had a talk with Titania about the elf race as a whole, learning their origins, and their low number. You promised Titania that you will do everything to help her and her people.

Some times later, your parents arrived, you welcomed them and talked about our pregnancy, and what kind of future you envisioned for your children. You also planned the party for the End-Year Celebration with them. You wanted to visit the city with them, and you made it official. With an escort you showed your parents the important buildings, like the hospital, the MRC and the temples.

But something happened. As you walked in a bust shopping street, an assassin posing as a beggar activated a spell and detonated himself. Fortunately Irene noticed before you were in the explosion range, and you and your parents were fine. That's when a great number of assassins appeared and tried to kill you. Your escort fought them, you summoned Sif and a Ice Elemental, and your troops won. You managed to take two as prisoners and learned a couple of things once Ruriska was done with them.

Of course, the assassins were sent by the Order of the Light, but not by the Grandmaster himself. This is probably an operation to try and destabilize the Drack Empire so the Order can take control of the northern kingdoms. Too bad for them, the Drack empire isn't the weak territory of some warlord.

On the to-do-list is

You decide to wear your Adventuress Outfit, so no one will know who you are, and the Cloak of the White Wolf of Ordamark, so people will know that you have Imperial authority, you could pass as an agent of the empire. As weapon you take your Antique Longsword and you take a couple of potions, 1 Source of vigor and 2 Antidotes. Everything is ready for your departure, you go in the inner courtyard, where Titania and Rimmirra are waiting.

>"So Freya, ready for your first flight ?" Titania asks

>"Only one way to find out if I'm ready, right ?" you smile.

>"That's for sure. Okay, so remember, stay seated during the flight, and don't talk to Rimmirra, even if he speaks to you, reply only if he asks you to." she explains.

Rimmirra lower himself on the ground and Titania go in first, she then helps you and you are now seated on the back of a dragon. It's surprisingly comfy. You make sure your equipment is secured, and Rimmirra extend his wings, you get ready and suddenly it's as if you were hit by a wall as the dragon takes off. In just a few seconds you are high above the city.

The dragon starts in the clouds, his large wings lifting his huge body with ease. However, you do not feel any discomfort, no sickness, you feel good. You don't know how it's possible but flying feel so natural, so right.

No need to hide the truth and it's not because you're not wearing a dress that you stop being the empress.

The sun is setting behind you. You entered the sky above Drack Realms for a while, and you should soon arrive at the Well's location. Below you, among the hills and trees, you see a camp, several tents and temporary cabins are standing next to a little village, and they seems to be working if the numerous torches are to be trusted. Rimmirra goes down rapidly, and in mere seconds he lands gently. A lot of people from the camp and the village arrive, some armed, but they slow down on they notice you on top of the dragon. You and Titania get down, and walk up to the people, to show who you are you make sure your cloak is in view.

>"Greetings everyone, I am the Empress Freya Drack, Dark Queen of the north. I came here with the Queen of the high elves, Queen Titania. I wish to see the Well of Magic you discovered. Who's the mage in charge ?" you ask.

The people bows to you, and an old man, a old mage in grey robes approach.

>"I am master Bronholf, mages of the MRC and overseer of the excavations of this Well of Magic. I must admit, if not for Queen Titania, the Cloak of the White Wolf of Ordamark, and the dragon, I wouldn't be able to recognize you in this outfit, your highness." the old man says.

>"We have found the door, most of the work is now to consolidate the tunnel. I have armed guards watching the entrance in case a worker tries to do something stupid. Fortunately, the locals are highly superstitious and don't want to get close to the door. If you want we can go see the door, or, as it's quite late, I could ask for a room for you in the village. It won't have the comfort you deserve, but it's better than sleeping in a tent." Bronholf replies.

>"I would like to see the door, can you show it to me master Bronholf ?" you ask.

The old mage guides you and Titania into the camp, in the center there is a great hole, like a surface mine, you go down a set of wooden stairs, and enter a tunnel where workers are digging and setting wooden beams to reinforce the tunnel. You walk for a couple of minutes and find yourself in front of a big door made of stone, with intricate patterns carved. It represents a woman, fields in full harvest, healthy cattle, and happy people dancing. No doubt this is the well of Gefian.

>"After digging and finding this small tunnel we dug around and unburied this door. Some of the symbols are in Old Nord, but it's just talking about the deeds and blessing of the Goddess Gefian." the mage explains.

>"So it is the Well of Gefian. It reminds me of the Well of the Goddess Luna, except this one is in ruins. And you don't know how to open it ?" you say.

>"You are right, your highness.Unfortunately we didn't find a way to open it, we tried everything that isn't exploding it with magic, but we're not some vandals. Our first priority is making sure everything around us won't collapse, and then studying the door." the mage tells you.

>"Even if you study it, I don't think you'll find how to open it like that, if it was sealed with magic, you need to know the way of opening it, or understand the magic behind it and reverse it. It could take a lot of time." Titania says.

You look at the great door of stone, observing it. Master Bronholf is right, there is no hole , no mechanism, maybe Tina is right and the door is closed with magic, but no one know wich one and it could take some time to find a way to unlock it. But you may have an idea. If it's like Metraton's temple, or rather prison, you could open it the same way.

You decide to try something, maybe it work the same way as Metraton temple, you get closer to the door and put your hand on the cold stone. Titania, the mage and the guards all look at you intrigued, You close your eyes, and take a deep breath and you whisper at the stone.

>"Open the gates !"

You then open your eyes, and call the name of the goddess with confidence.

>"Gefian !"

Instantly, you feel the stone become warmer, you slowly remove your hand as the stone start glowing with a pale blue light, the carvings on the doors start moving, as if alive, with a lot of noises. Mages, workers and guards that are in the tunnel come running to see what's going on. The stones moves and slowly the door open, everyone is astonished, amazed by what's happening, and finally the access to the Well of Gefian is open. You look at what appears to be a long corridor slowly going down into the dark , you don't smell or hear anything.

You turn around, Titania is smiling and everyone else look at you and the door with their mouth open.

>"Master Bronholf, I think I managed to find a way to open the door." you smirk.

>"Haaa . . . Ahem, yes indeed, that's incredible your higness, but how did you know . . . " he starts.

>"Let's say I have my own informations." you answer.

>"Yes, that's understandable. So, I suppose you want to go down isn't that right ? I'm going to call the guards to have them escort you, who know what's down there." the mage says.

>"We shouldn't enter, it is heresy to distrub the rest of the goddess, if she wanted this place sealed we shouldn't go against her whishes !" a worker shouts

>"Be quiet, it is the duty of the scholars to know the truth, who know the secrets that are hidden, the blessing of the goddess waiting for us." the mages replies.

The corridor is wide, and you see sculptures and murals everywhere, there is also a pile of spider webs. A little further you see a torch support, and you approach to try to light it, but you notice that the torch itself is made of stone. When you light it, a blue flame like that of the temple of Metraton , marking the presence of a god of the world. As you continue to walk and light the torches on the way, you find a set of spiral staircases going even deeper. As you apporach you hear noises down below and it remind you of . . . the noise of swarming insects. Whatever's down there, it's big and it's alive.

You decide to get reinforcement, you summon Sif and Manus, your guardians appearing and ready to do your will. You approach the stairs with them and extend your arm, aiming down to cast Ray of Light. You focus and send the spell down below and in second everything around you become white, but you can see clearly. The creature downstair screeches and you get a cold sweat when you see what it is, some kind of giant insect with long legs and claws. For now it's trashing around blinded by your spell. You don't lose time and send your guardian down.

Sif jumps down and land with a loud thud, Manus glides down as if he was swimming in the air, and the two of them attack the creature. You immediately follow them, drawing your Antique Longsword , ready to fight. Once you are down you see that the beast is bigger than you thought, but Sif and Manus already wounded it, the giant insect screeching as your guardians tear and bite, making the gooey green blood flows.

You strike the giant insect, cutting some of its legs, the thing try to deflect and counter with its claws but it can't see anything and is helpless against your attacks, the power of your sword marking the giant insect with ice as the runes of your sword light up. Sif bite deep into the creature, crushing it's shell and tearing big chunks of green flesh. Manus glides in the air like lightning, his fangs sinking into the flesh of the giant insect like knives in soft meat.

The giant insect screeches in pain, confused and blind, it trashes around doing its best to defend itself against you and your guardian, but you have the advantage. Ray of Light fades and the creature is no longer blinded, it turns around to look at you, its numerous lifeless, pitch black eyes make you uneasy. You now notice what's around, the corridor is covered with gooey stuff, cobwebs, and what look like skeletons and remains of whatever was down there, killed and surely eaten by this disgusting thing. It readies its large claws, ready to fight for its life.

You and your guardians relentlessly attack the giant insect, it die with noisy screeches, collapsing on the ground. You remove your blade from the creature and clean it, Sif and Manus are covered in green gooey blood. You kind of expected monsters, but giant insects down a dark hole is not comforting and you shiver at the thought of what could have happened if any guards or workers came here. You place your Longsword on your back and keep walking down the corridor with your guardians.

After passing the cobwebs and other organic wastes, the corridor become much more cleaner, you make sure to light all the torches on the way and after a while you find yourself on front of something interesting. Another great door, but this one is different from the entrance, there is also a statue made of metal, representing a man and a woman, a couple most likely, in front of the door.

As you approach the statues suddenly light up with the same blue as any divine presence of the gods of the world. The statues moves as if alive and draw their weapons, they don't get into attack positions, but they walk up to you really slowly. Sif growls and Manus hisses menacingly ready to fight.

You decide to wait and see, they don't look like they're going to attack you, but you stand ready to dodge just in case, you order Sif and Manus to stand down and not attack, your guardians keep making menacing noises but obey and stay still. The metal couple get closer to you, you sty motionless, not wanting to seem non-threatening.

>"Hey, I'm NOT here to fight anyone. I'm just here to meet with the goddess Gefian. Also, you REALLY need to do something about your pest problem." you say.

The two statues don't say anything and keep walking toward you, you prepare for anything but you don't know how fast they truly are. When they are in front of you they stop and look right into your eyes, you don't move and let them do their thing. After a while the statues close their eyes and turn their back to you, the man going to the right and the woman to the left of the door.

>"You are fertile soil that has been sown." the male statue says.

>"You are a life that will bring life." the female statue adds.

>"The doors of the goddess are opened to you." the two of them declares.

They put their hands on the door and it light up in the same fashion as the statues, they push it and it slowly open. Once it's done the couple go back to their original spot and the light on them fades as they become lifeless metal again. You walk slowly, not sure if it's a trap and go through the door.


Inside, you see what's similar to the Well of Luna, the symbols aren't the same and this one look off, there is no light like with Luna, everything seems . . . switched off. The Well is there, its water unmoving,the water is pure and nothing stagnates on the surface.

You decide to look around, to see if you find anything, and maybe find a way to "switch it on". Sif and Manus help you in your search. You find symbols in old nord, some in a language that you don't understand, you try to understand what it means but even the parts in old nord are mostly prayers to the goddess. From what you can decypher, it talks of how the goddess Gefian taught the various races how to cultivate the soil so that they may never grow hungry, how the cattle that lived on consecrated lands grew healthy, and how people blessed by her had numerous children at a rapid rates. All of this is really interesting but this doesn't help you.

You look for some time but you don't find anything, there is no lever, no switch, and what's ever more strange, no magic at all. So you decide to do other same thing you did in the Well of Luna, you walk up to the edge and removes your clothes.

>"Sif, Manus, you two stay here and watch over me, it could be quick or take some time."

Your guardians do as you say, once you are naked you enter the water of the well, and start swimming until you get to the center. You then take a deep breath and let yourself float on your back, let your ears be submerged and you close your eyes and breath calmly. You only feel the water around you, and the silence is all you hear as you empty your mind to facilitate the contact.

You feel as if the water around you is disappearing, as if you were floating into nothingness. You keep your eyes closed and keep breathing calmly. Everything around you is warm, a gentle warmth. There is no voice this time, and you feel a gentle breeze on your skin as the warmth change.

Far on the horizon, mountain ranges with snow capped peak seems so far away and yet so close with how gigantic they are. You get up and see that you are just wearing a pure white dress. You look around and notice something a little farther, a great temple made of marble. You know where you should go and start walking.

When you get in front of the temple, you notice that it's guarded by . . . Minotaurs, they are wearing armors of golds, and are bigger than those you know, with even bigger horns. They don't seem agresives, and they don't do anything as you climb the steps to the entrances. You enter and see what look like a Tharque palace, with fountains statues of strong and virile men, pregnant women, loving couples, there are also fruit trees, columns of white marble and a long red and gold carpet going from the entrance to a small set of stairs leading to a couch, where a woman is lying, eating raisin.

You walk forward, and notice more minotaurs guards, they look at you with their stern gazes, but don't moves an inch. You reach the stairs and look up to the woman, she's blond, with blue eyes, with a laurel wreath on her head . . . And wings of white feathers.

She seems to ignore a lot of things, so you decide to explain it to her.

I can only imagine that all of the Wells look like this. But that doesn't have to stay this way because I will have all temples unearthed and restored to their former glory." you declare.

You start approaching her. The minotaurs guards put their hand on their weapons but don't do anything, and you get right in front of the goddess.

You think about it, and there is one thing that you want. You look deep into her eyes, resolved.

Gently you start to run your hand down the back of her head, softly stroking and caressing her. After some second you go back to the top of her head to caress her hair.

You are lying on the ground, out of the Well, Sif and Manus are by your side, with your clothes still where you left them. You get up ang get dressed, and once you are ready you leave the room, you notice as you leave that the Well have now a faint blue light radiating from the water.

You leave by the way that you took when you arrived, passing the door guarded by metal statue of the couple, the corridors with the corpse of the Giant insect, and you climb the stair. Once you at the top, you send Sif and Manus back, and walk in the long corridor until you reach the entrance of the temple. You see Titania and some guards standing at the entrance and when they see you a guards run to get the mages while Titania gives you a bright smile.

>"Oh yes, I have found something. The Well is down there and I meditated inside, I met the goddess and talked with her, I believe she's on our side." you reply.

There is a lot of work ahead, you explain that the team is to unearth and restore the temple to its former glory, more men and equipment will be sent to them in the future. As for you, you decide to sleep in the camp with Titania. You ask the guards to show you a tent, and they guide you to the biggest available, they remove anything that can be a bother for you but they apologize as their is only one bed. You tell them that it's alright. You summon Sif and order him to stand guard just in case, you ant Titania enter the tent, the two of you undress each other and go to bed together, cuddling and kissing. You fall asleep after some times.

In your sleep you follow the winds, and enter the Realm of Dreams. After climbing the mountain and entering the temple you go for the promontory, and next to the white fire of your soul Luna and Gefian are facing each other.

They finally see you and smile as you approach. You look around and notice that Metraton isn't here, he must be hiding just in case.

The two goddesses sigh happily as you masterfully pat their heads with just the calm sound of the fire and the wind around you. You start explaining how everything happened, your visions, your test in the realm of dreams, and your knowledge of the war between the Light and Darkness.

As soon as she finishes, you hear steps coming from behind the fire of your soul, Luna and Gefian remove their head from your lap and watch. Metraton in his god form moves from behind the fire and look at the three of you.

>"Hello to you Gefian, Goddess of fertility and good harvest, holy mother of the minotaurs. It's been a while." he tells her.

Gefian goes wide eyed, but don't say anything. She then gets up and slowly walks up to Metraton until she's right in front of him . . . And slap him with her full force, making a loud smack as the palm of her hand meet his cheek.

You have a lot of work ahead, and the End-Year Celebration is getting closer, so you can't play adventurer. Also, it would endanger your baby, so you decide to go home. You and Titania get on Rimmirra and once you are seated the dragon extends his wings and takes off. In seconds you are high above the site and Rimmirra roars as he flies to the west.

Today the weather is overcast, Rimmirra fly low below the dark clouds and you're worried that it could rain, you don't want to know how it feels to take cold rain while flying. Titania seems to catch on and grins. Suddenly Rimmirra does a spectacular climb and go straight for the clouds. You are surrounded by cold and humidity as the dragon keep going higher and you wonder if your going to be struck by lightning. Then you end up above the clouds, the light is blinding you as you see what's around you. You are amazed by the sea of white and light, creating a decor worthy of the best paintings of masterful artists.

If that happens you'll be more than happy to welcome her, but you wonder if she's even more prideful that Rimmirra. The rest of the journey is really calm, with you flying above the sea of white clouds. Titania is looking right in front of her and you get an idea.

You immedialty hug her tightly from behind before she can turn around and kiss the nape of her neck.
