Liquidation plants his feet and outstretches his arms, violently shaking both himself and the entire Abyss. His fiery rage unleashed shockwaves as his chest split open and a plume of Destruction energy and anger materialized spilled out from it.

His arms fall backwards as though he is dead, and his hand reaches into the plume, grabbing the handle of a gigantic greatsword that he pulls out of himself before his chest closes back together.

You and Liquidation charge at each other, and there is a loud and powerful clash of the two blades, emitting another shockwave that spirals forth, collapsing and destroying many of the temples in the Abyss.

You form shards along your tendrils and go back and forth with Liquidation, lashing and slicing at him with your Tendrils and the Hand of Providence while he made heavy swings and threw deadly punches at you, getting angrier by the second.

It is a flurry of thousands of moves going by so fast that to a mortal viewing the spectacle, the energy in the weapons would appear as two bright suns from how fast they were being swung.

And all around, meteors of hateful fire rained down all over as a side effect of Liquidation fighting at full strength.

Eventually, Liquidation gets an opening and throws a hard punch, sending you flying through the Abyss.

He grips the handle of his greatsword with both hands then and gathers momentum in his feet before leaping and flying at you.

You fire off waves of orbs and beams that collided with his face to slow him, but he ignores all damage dealt to him. It wasn't that he didn't take damage, it was simply that he couldn't feel pain or respond to it right now, he was that angry.

You look around and telekinetically reach out, grabbing all of the hateful meteors you could see, redirecting them at Liquidation from every angle, applying enough force to make him lose balance and tumble in the air. He exhausts more rage again and you see a chance.

You throw one of the Hand of Providence pieces like a boomerang, and the blade flies back, straight into Liquidation's spine, piercing through his skin. He bellows a cry of anger, having actually felt that one.

"I WILL.... ANNIHILATE! CRUSH YOU! TWIST YOU!"

He takes hold of the blade piece and digs it further into his spine, releasing more hateful energy from himself before he pulls it out and throws it aside like a toy.

You throw the other split half of the Hand at Therdin, who catches it and reels his hand back.

Therdin drives his half straight through Liquidation's torso. The cult leader grunts and looks down at Therdin, unimpressed.

That is until you come from behind and stab him yourself, which makes him give out a yelp of pain and falls to his knees as his circlet broke off, most of his head gone by then. He drops his Greatsword as Therdin uses what strength he had left to kick it out of Liquidation's hand, picking it up for himself.

The Loremaster throws his hand forward and blows you and Therdin away with a wave, slowly rising to his feet. His body begins to disintegrate, rapidly deteriorating from how much he pushed it.

"We have always been capable of harnessing the power of hatred... and rage.... but even I cannot wield it perfectly as you can see.... Overuse.... destroys us.. ironically..."

"You might not believe me... but I... and my four brethren... were all mortals once... we received meager extensions to our life by Tongha, and we only reached this point after so long of getting our high off of being enraged...."

"You.... you however.... are a God..... immortal.... and unlike us, you could wield the power of Destruction.... more carefully.... it couldn't destroy you entirely... even if pushing it scraped away some of your being...."

Liquidation begins to limp over, hand raised towards you and Therdin. The destruction energy preventing exit weakens to the point that you could now break it and escape the Abyss.

"Aye.... this lad seems finished. Who's gonna do the deed?" Therdin asks you.

The Realm was the size of a gas giant planet, and had a massive ring spanning it. It was a beautiful world covered by foliage. There were jungles, forests, plains, mesas, and all things one could hope to find in nature.

The planet was densely and heavily populated by animals, Treefolk and Flora Faunas. Every conceivable fruit, plant and material in the entire Universe could be found here. Feuhelia was truly a spectacle, and among all God's Realms, it was perhaps Father Akasha's favorite as of yet.

There, directly atop the south most pole of the Realm stood a massive tree that nearly reached the planetary ring. Mother Malito's Blossom, her home. She lived among her mortals, treating them all with kindness. It was the most ideal representation of nature from a 3D prospective.

You go down below to see Mother Malito, along with her Demigoddess Vilia, Therdin and Killkree...

You see Therdin and Killkree both completely healed, their wounds having been mended by the blessed holy waters of Mother Malito's Healing Pools, a system of divine fountainhead waters running throughout the Realm from her great blossom.

"Thank you Vilia, but I'm held off for now."

"Oh, Killkree dear, don't beat yourself up, you couldn't have known that those naughty cultists would be that formidable." You hear Mother Malito say as you fly down to the other divinities.

"Aye! Unglück! You've been absent for a while lad, come have a mango and relax in the waters. I know I don't plan on getting out for the next several hours, ahahahaha!" Therdin greets you.

"Oh yes dear, don't hesitate. My waters bring peace of mind, always. Oh, and that does remind me, I am making another one of my pies soon. I hope you'll stay for a slice." Malito says.

"Therdin, how did it go when you first arrived?" Killkree asks.

"Ogh, well, those damn culti- Aegghh! Sorry Mother Malito, I forget your rule of no cursin'... Welll, those darn cultists came off so friendly, but I didn't let me guard down after I pummeled their pet. They took me to see their big scary leader and he explained their whole sthick to me. I wasn't havin' none o' that! I threw my precious spear with all my might right into his crotch, and it broke! Then he got up and bent over for a second before he came over and beat me up with his fingers! I've never felt so embarrassed in me' whole life!" Therdin says before glugging down more of whatever he had in his green bottle.

"Oh, I'm sure you'll get stronger soon enough if you start training again Therdin, you used to be one of the mightiest of us." Malito recalls.

"Aye... first, I gotta find a way to get this infernal soot coverin' me skin off. Would ya' believe that even the pool in Heaven couldn't help me condition?"

You give it a thought, and then drop down into the pool yourself. Immediately, the healing effects begin to work on you. It feels even better than the blessed waters of Heaven.

"....Father came to me when I was unconscious during our battle in the Abyss.... he told me that he's coming by soon for a.... 'final examination'....." Killkree admits.

Therdin spits out the liquor he was in the process of drinking, Malito and Vilia both gasp. You looked confused, oblivious to what a 'final examination' was.

"Brrrr... Killkree lass, I'm gonna be an ice block!" Therdin says as the water cooled from Killkree's lowered mood.

"Oh, s-sorry...." She sighs, warming herself and the pool up again.

Everyone sat in silence.

"What is the 'final examination'?" You break it. Killkree looked down at the water, afraid to say anymore. Therdin seemed to be timid about it as well. Mother Malito twiddles her branches and looks to you.

"It is the final visit Father will pay one of us. He pays a total of five visits. If he is unsatisfied with us at his last visit.... well, there's no telling what he might do. I think what's happening is that we're the demon god of mirrors and last time we were in the town of the evil cultists, so this time we're in New Haven—we can fight it. I haven't been paying too much attention so I forget some of the details but I think we can get past one of them. So that's what we're trying to do. We're the bad guys. If we're able to escape.

The thing about the villains is you have to pay attention to their actions but there is a way they can't be caught.

I think we have good intentions but they're not always that easily broken. They like to stay under the radar. They'll do something that no one can catch, and it takes them a while to get away.

The story of the evil cultists is really not that interesting because they're completely anonymous. That's the thing with this type of fiction. The more interesting parts of the story are told by the bad guy. When you know the story, it feels real. I guess that's sort of what happens, because we're talking about characters from different worlds. The villains do this, and the heroes do that, but because of that they seem to be working really well together. We're the bad guys in that respect.

Well, I'm mostly talking about the subtext here. The whole thing with the evil cultists and the people who are "supposed" on a mission is pretty cool and funny. We're going to New Haven to confront the dragon prince at some point but we don't know when. So, what I want to see is the group of people that is the "villain faction" (which means, anyone but the core group) who are trying to take over the area. What is actually happening here is the group of people who are trying to use the local resources for their own personal agendas. All the while, they will continue to try to make life miserable for anyone who opposes them. It makes for great laughs, that sort of thing.

We'll just have to wait and see what that subtext is.

"Aye, she's been needing a change for a long time now. Don't think it harsh but it's no secret, Killkree is just plain lazy most of the time.... Okay, ALL the time. She thinks she succeeded because all of her creations are happy, but that's exactly what's wrong, that and her realm is so.... er, what's the word.... flat." Therdin says.

"Even here on my Realm, unhappiness can still be felt by my mortals, and I wouldn't have it any other way." Malito says.

"What Therdin means is that, if you look at any other Realm, there's different sights over every inch of it. My planet has a great and large desert, mountain ranges, and great rainforests all about despite it mostly being green. It is the size of a gas giant after all, there's plenty of room."

"But if you look at Killkree's Realm.. well, it's just lava, rock and fire everywhere. Only fire Elementals live there, and they are all practically the same and happy. Killkree told me she planned on terraforming parts of her Realm to suite new Elementals with new elements, such as Ice and electricity. It would definitely solve a lot of her problems, I just hope she can do it in time." Malito says.

You nod and finish off the rest of the pie, much to Therdin's dismay.

You bid the two other Gods farewell and exit the healing pool. You believed you could assist Killkree with making the emotions and feelings of her mortals more varied than simply only happiness.

For now, you return to Hurst to check on your daughters and the progress of your palace before you did anything else...
