We gather everyone together and go to Alquia by [Treestride], emerging through the millenia-old peach tree in the garden, startling the cute, young apekin shadow slightly, and heading towards the inside of the palace.

The hallways are quite busy, as it is early in the evening and this is the brief rush hour of work before work ceases for the day, when the clerks move a little bit faster and with just a little bit more determination in order to be done by the time they can leave.

The guards, of course, are unnafected. Their shifts work in a different way, and so they stand calmly in their posts.

Well, it should be fine as long as she was indeed in a more casual activity/mood rather than a lewd one. Wanna go with this, then?

Also, for weapon, what do you prefer, one handed axe, javelin, sword (short, long, bastard), club? The shield gives heat resistance which is neccesary for survival in that area, so that's why 2 handed weapons aren't in the options.

Aright, purple towers it is, and it just so happen than in the latest patch they appear to have fucked up and given a 2 hander's damage to a shortsword for some reason so right now the 1-handed shortsword "Predatory Blade" is the best weapon in the game. Weird.

It is an excellent item for exp grind, which vombines with [GAINZ] would yield excellent resoults, wouldn't it?

The only problem is that you can't even encounter different monsters, because if you gain exp from something else (even if you didn't fight it yourself), it'd count as 'fighting something else' and break the chain. Hn... would our pets exp parties interfere with it?

Furthermore, a floor where you could find only one type of monster for sure... that would be the floor after a boss fight, right? the 1st floor of a new series of ten., such as the 11th, 21st, 61st, etc.

Right after gighting a boss, the next floor is always full of 'norma' versions of said boss, so we can safely predict their presence and type. Alright, let's go 'home' and asl Tupac for the bracelet.

I kind of feel sorry for Helena. All the other succubi are old enough to be able to understand that, now that they're Civilized, they can't just go around seducing, killing, and eating other people.
And all the other Empusa were too young to go on hunts so they can learn to interact with Civilized people normally like other Civilized Race children.

Helena ended up between the two, and now needs this remedial training.

Our island is... quite beautiful, really. It has very few natural monsters, and they tend to be quite low level, despite their apparent size, such as [lvl 11 Wild Boar]s and [lvl 17 Tiger]s... wait, aren't those actually 'normal' levels for wild animals? I mean, a 'normal' villager in his 20's or so would also be of a level matching his age, so a lvl 17 tiger would actually be an issue...

Hn. Our surroundings have skewed our perception of what normal is, haven't they? I think it'd be nice if we could be reborn again and live a completely normal life, somehow.

Anyway... our island is rather beautiful. It has been left up to nature for ages, other than the manor grounds, so we can see plenty of natural beauty all around us after taking just a few steps away from the manor.

Not quite a jungle, more of a rain forest. The trees are typicall quite tall, and the sunlight filters down in thick, swaying beams of light that shift, appear and dissapear as gently as the breeze causes the treetops to sway, causing little islands of light to appear and dissapear on the soft, leaf-covered ground.

Now that we look down... there's not a single rock in sight. I wonder how old a forest needs to be so that the successive ages of fallen trees and leaves make a thick enough layer of vegetal ground that you can't see any rocks or peebbles poking through. All the same, the ground feels quite solid once you apply enough force to squish a inch or so of the soft upper soil.

By the way, the forest at ground level is actually rather sparse with its plant life, with just a few plants growing here and there every few dozen feet. I guess this is a indoor's plant natural habitat?

Well, looking for a beautiful natural spot turns out harder than we expected, in a good way, since everywhere looks quite beautiful indeed.

Right here, we have an area with tall trees the thickness of a man's shoulder, reaching so far up you have to lean backwards to see the treetops.

If we approach the shoreline, the trees shift in nature and are replaced with slightly lower and thinner palm-like trees with purple leaves, their trunks poking straight out of the pearly sand.

Following the shoreline, we find a small but quite energetic little stream, where the water seems to sing and bubble as it runs over the only rocks we've managed to spot so far. By the way, the difference in level between the river floor and the forest floor is of about 9ft. Would it be alright to assume that the plant soil is 9ft thick, then?

Hmm... following the stream, we find an area full of small geysers, bubbling up quite enthusiastically, steam rising into the sky, though this is not the birth of the river, as it continues to go on even deeper into the island. The dirt at the bottom of the river is almost charcoal black, and feels quite soft, with natural, small waterfalls only a few feet high where cold and hot water mix naturally to make rather nice natural showers.

We look around, the scenery quite beautiful, with bubbling hot springs and tiny geysers right in the riverbed, the small sprays having to break the surface of the water in order to leap up into the sky, if only a few feet at most before falling back down unto the river's cool stream.

On the wild flower-dotted grass near the feet of one of the tiny waterfalls, we call Helena out of our [Menagerie]. The empusa looks around, briefly distracted by the scenery around her.

Having grown in the mountains, the scenery is quite different from what she is used to. After the mountains, her tribe moved to New Hope, which is in the plains near Yellowleaves forest, which is also quite different from the tropical rainforest we are in right now.

"Ah~" - she lets out in appreciation - "Where is this?"
"We're in the middle of an island off the shore of the western continent. This type of forest is called a rain forest."
"It isn't raining." - she points out
"It rains here in summer. It lasts for about two months."
"That is a very rainy forest!" - she exclaims, amused - "Why are we here?"

Her skin is the softest white, changing gradually towards bright pink towards the end of her limbs, which makes it look as if she had gloves and boots. Her horns are poking forth and then upwards in a large curve, and they are the same as her limbs, starting the same pale color as her face then growing into bright pink towards the tips. It may be that she has bone horns with skin as cover, rather than hardened hair horns like pretty much every other succubus we've ever met. That is a little worrying, since it means they are -actually- delicate and fragile.

We take their hands as we [Treestride] over to the Albion university gardens, going from noon to evening. In fact, it is almost closing time for the main college building, which means our house's new maid will come pick up our siblings any time now.

"Good evening." - we greet a professor as we go into the laboratory building

The professor greets us back, and we enter the lab to find that everyone seems quite busy at work, despite the time. Walking down the hallways, Aritsu gets a lot of greetings from rather cutesy younger students... well, she's a very admirable senior, after all.

Our laboratory's door isn't locked, and walking in, we find that everyone is hard at work, surrounding a large table with a new probe prototype. They built it rather quickly, didn't they?

We look at the specs for the probe, but outside of our expertise in chemical or magic circuits, there's not much we can do. Inside our expertise though, we -can- contribute quite a bit, so we show our friends how to replace a large circuit with a smaller one, which lowers the probe's weight slightly and shrinks its size by a fair deal.
