Here is the introduction.

When the gods longed for mortal life, the Supreme Godhead created Devapura, the City of the Gods. In Devapura, most of their divine powers are stripped away and they have to build an alliance with the mortals for their own survival. The gods organized themselves into the Familia system. Only by joining a Familia can mortals enter the famed Danjon, where many fabulous treasures await them.

You are such mortal. You were browsing the /qst/ board on 4chan when suddenly you died (describe your death, by default it's heart attack). You wake up in the central plaza of Devapura. This is the area where all newcomers enter this world, waiting to be invited to a god's Familia. A crowd of other confused Earthlings are around you, some of them still dressed in pj's. Four deities are present. They are Kek, the god of chaos; Loki, the god of clowns; Guanyin, the goddess of mercy; and Ishtar, goddess of lust.

Before the plaza stands the infinite Pillar of Heaven, created by the goddess Nüwa, which connects Heaven, the home of the gods, to the mortal plane; and below it lies the depths of the Danjon. The lowest floors of the Pillar is the home of the Adventurer's Guild: a neutral organization that oversees and regulates all Familia business. The architecture of Devapura is a mix of the medieval fantasy and traditional Japanese styles.

Ari pushes the red button. Reality ondulates and you both appear in the central plaza of Devapura, with your horses. Next to you stands Khidell Neriroris, the elven tax-collector, looking extremely confused.

"Wahh! What's going on" Ari whines. "What is this place? I thought we were going to eat a good elven tofu meal."

Kek spots you and waves. He walks toward you. "Terry, Ari, good to see you. This is the city of Devapura."

Ari looks around. "Devapura, the City of the Gods?" She moves her ears and her tail enthusiastically. "Well, I guess, we are much closer to the Empire of Tyria, now. Devapura is a city-state located on the southern edge of the Empire."

Kek nods. "Glad you like it. My previous children died on the 11th floor of the Danjon. A really tragic story, even though they were a bunch of faggots. That's why I summoned you guys here. I thought this time, I need someone who's an excellent strategist, and a fluffy girl who can keep my bed warm. What do you guys say about joining my FAMILIA?"

This body must not be found, I'll take care of it." He throws a red cape on Khidell's body to hide it. "You have no idea. This is a neutral, peaceful city."

Some of the people who were standing around you freak out and flee. Loki honks his horn to catch their attention. "Come back here! Oh well, I guess they will not join my awesome Familia." he says, dramatically.

Reality ondulates and spins around William. He appears in Devapura, in front of Kek. Abigail, Catia, Aimee, and his camel follow him. Aimee is screaming, with her hands on her eyes. On the floor, there's a dead body wrapped in a red cape.

"Well, actually, here's the person I was waiting for. Hello, William! It's me, Kek." He points both of his thumbs up.

Ari, the beastgirl, says. "A pink-skinned man! How adorable! Hello, William. I'm Ari." She gives him her hand to shake it.

"Let's introduce each other later." Kek says. "I understand that you guys must feel really confused. Please follow me to the dark alley and I'm going to explain everything. Basically, this is Devapura, the City of the Gods and the best place in the world, and I've summoned you here to invite you to my Familia."

Kek notices that he's getting a few dark glares. "I see that some people don't seem happy. Everything is going to make sense, I promise. Please follow me." He waddles across the plaza toward a dark alley. "I'm not going to rape you or anything, this is just to talk more privately, as Terry here requested."

Of course, you've already received part of this blessing, as I gave you the thief class. There's no formal competition between the gods. However, we do rely on our children for helping us." His voice takes a more serious tone. "In simpler terms, we are quite powerless, and our children are everything to us."

I paused as I saw Catia and Aimee refuse to follow, turning to them and whispering. "I understand if you want to try your luck with a different deity, considering where he originally dumped us, but be careful, I doubt he's the most malicious one here." I advised, following after Kek and Abigail to gain more information.

I didn't really believe what Kek said about my original world being hell, and this place being the only real earth, but I kept my thoughts to myself. Either Kek really believed that, and wasn't as all powerful as he appeared, or he thought I was a gullible fool, which I could use to my advantage later. I stayed silent while Terry and Kek talked, though as Kek said his children were everything, and mentioned what made this place so great, I felt my anger rise up. If this place was so good, and if we were so important to him, then why the hell did he dump us in a desert full castrating bandits!?! One person had died, and plenty were traumatized from their first meeting with the natives of Wadirma.

I took a deep breath as I pushed my anger aside for the sake of convenience, I wanted as little to do with this god as possible, but the opportunity to stay in this city, and safely grow in power, were too good to pass up. I could try my luck with another god, but I had no idea who I could trust, or if Kek or them wouldn't do something worse to me if I refused.

Better the devil you know, I suppose.

"So what does it mean to join your familia? Do you own our souls, or does our business conclude once we choose to leave the city?" I asked, not willing to pledge myself to an eternity of serving Kek, and wanting to make sure that wasn't what I was agreeing to.

Isekai Cheats
Harem Protag: You now have a sex appeal that defies logic, giving an *absolute* bonus to seduction attempts and compelling members of the opposite sex to get jiggy with it, to the extent that you must roll to determine whether they are willing to engage in coitus, not whether they are interested. They are always open to polygamy but members of the same sex will resent you. Some violently.

Edgelord: You can teleport behind your foes, summon dual desert eagles/uzis at your discretion, and drain life force to regenerate or fuel your attacks when you cut someone. You can also cut yourself and reabsorb it at an equal ratio. Forbidden sorcery comes twice as easily and malign entities see you as their equivalent and take you seriously, for good or ill. This comes at the cost of a gravelly voice, deep dislike of daylight, and the permanent fixation to wear a trenchcoat and dark-tinted sunglasses, which you can summon at will. If your dialogue is sufficiently edgy, you may receive a bonus to any given roll.

I was happy that Catia and Aimee wanted to come with me, even if the way they said it made me blush. Joining Kek's Familia sounded like a good idea too since I wasn't expecting another god to give me a blessing any time soon. It also seemed like there was very little chance there'd be a war between us and another familia, and combined with the eash access to a safe tosn and beginner dungeon, everything sounded almost too good to be true.

I listened to Terry and Ari talk to Kek, appreciating Terry's idea of using a class to empower his companion further. He seemed a little suspicious, and I wasn't sure about the hyper competent thing, but he definitely had a good head on his shoulders at least. Though Ari and Kek almost got into a fight, I learned something very useful from it, namely, that a god's magic could effect other gods. I appreciated Abigail's quick thinking in defusing the situation, and gave a silent thank you while continuing to listen in on the conversation.

"Well, I don't think trying to rob another god is a great idea if you want to avoid a war between familia, but other than that, I see no reason to refuse. With any luck I can get a class change done and finally lose my Dark Knight of Vice class, and work towards an advanced class that I'd be better with. As long as we can keep some money to buy better supplies for ourselves, and we don't get sent back to Wadirma when this is all over, this is a pretty great deal." I said, following Kek to the Pillar of Heaven.

"Nice to formally meet you by the way, I'm William." I said, offering a handshake to Terry. "I'm a pretty big fan of the isekai genre, and Re: Zero is my favorite. The Pillar of Heaven has a calm, Zen environment, with white pavement on the floor and crystal sculptures of snakes. For historical reference, it has been constructed by the goddess Nüwa back when Heaven was about to crumble on Earth. The Adventurer's Guild has made the first floors of the Pillar its HQ. The best part is that it's hosted by female yokai dressed in schoolgirl outfits. Ari, Terry, William, Abigail, Catia, Aimee, Anon and the Conductor all sign the Familia papers. Seeing that everyone followed Kek, Shi follows them and arrives last.

"Congratulations! Now that you've signed the papers, we're all best friends!" Clara exclaims. "I'm going to show you our new school, now." She looks at Shi and bites her lower lip. "Ehhhhh! I'm so sorry, you're too late to register. Kek-sama specifically said." She imitates his cavernous voice. "YOU CAN ONLY REGISTER 8 NEW PERSONS, NO MORE, AS THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH BEDROOMS IN MY PYRAMID FOR MORE." She takes back her normal voice. "Ahhh! Don't be sad, I'll give you a big Smoochie Smoochie." She jumps in Shi's arms and give him a few kisses on his face and head.

Clara then brings the new members of Kek's Familia to the pyramid. "That's a nice town right? A lot of yummy humans here." Kek lives in a 3 story pyramid. It's not very well-maintaned and tree roots jut from its sides, in a rift between the foundations. Every room is decorated with a statue of Keket, his wife, and lotus blossoms. Kek is not too fond of modern technology such as electricity, so he uses old-school torches to illuminate the rooms at night time. "Kek is napping right now. Please everyone, make yourself comfortable and choose a bedroom. I'll call for you later so that we can play together." There are only four bedrooms, each with decently comfortable bunk beds, a wooden chest and a wardrobe.

Chase, Owen, and possibly Shi are gathered among the crowd on the central plaza. Loki, the god of clowns, honks his horn. "Honk! Honk! Everyone, may I have your attention, please? I am Loki, Æsir extraordinaire and chief architect of Ragnarök. You may refer to me as "His Eminence."" He honks his horn more. "This delightful instrument is my horn. When I honk, it means that you must be quiet and listen. I am now going to choose new children to invite to my Familia. I'm not going to invite just anyone, so we'll have a test of Agility to decide who gets to join. Agility is the most important ability to survive the Danjon, as well as to be a successful clown, so I hope that your performance will be acceptable." He gets red clown noses out of his bag. "Come get your clown nose if you want to participate."

Entering the Pillar of Heaven, it was nice to take in the sights. The medieval fantasy world was always pretty cool, but I didn't really get to appreciate any of it back in Wadirma. Seeing the place being staffed by women in school uniforms was... odd... i mean, why on earth have that be the uniform? Then I remembered this place was run by gods, and you wouldn't find any group more eccentric than that. Still, at least whoever was in charge here had good taste, though I tried to make sure I didn't let my eyes linger anywhere.


Once the paperwork was done, we had arrived at Kek's pyramid, I made sure the camel wouldn't run off or starve, gathered my original clothes from my past life, and found a place inside to get changed. It felt good to be wearing comfortable clothes again, even if they could use a wash and I could use a shower- wait, does Kek's place have proper plumbing? Oh gosh I really hope it does. I've only been in this world for a few days, but I've already greatly missed toilets. Checking out the rooms, I secured myself a bottom bunk due to my weight and tendency to roll around in my sleep, and buried my face in my pillow while laying in bed.


It felt so nice to have a bed again. Even with Luqman's pillows, sleeping in the desert had been very unpleasant. Honestly, as wary as I was about Kek and other capricious gods, I was overjoyedvto be out of ghe desert.


"May Wadirma never play a relevant role in my life, ever again." I said, before finally rolling out of bed and adjusting my glasses.


Okay, time to get to work. After dividing our funds evenly, I had been left with six silver, and five copper (the girls each having 5 silver and 15 copper). Adding my desert clothes to the camel outside of the pyramid, I decided it'd be a good idea to sell the camel, sandstorm proof tent, and desert clothes, along with Luqman's pillows, and see about gathering information on class changes and how to properly prepare for dungeon crawling. I'd definitely remember to buy a torch this time, at least.


If anyone in Kek's familia asked what I was doing, I'd happily tell them, and if anyone wanted to come with me, I'd let them.

This is the result of thourough eugenics, a champion of parkour, the finest specimen produced by mankind. One girl in the public exclaims. "Oh my!"

"I'm a follower of Evylivon, and I'm very loyal..." she answers, blushing more.

Shi puts on his red nose and twerks even better than Chase. Loki's maddening song puts him in a trance, and he utters cries and moans of ecstasy as he's twerking. The tension is palpable; some women in the audience whistle and call his name.

Loki honks. "Okay, that was pretty decent. You two can join my Familia. Anyone else up for the challenge? The difficulty will increase next round."

While Emiya's twerk was absolutely wild, Owen's twerk is more controlled and technical, using a more subtle rhythm that makes it more naturally graceful. Where Emiya's is full of flair and extreme intensity, Owen's is flashy and effortless, bouncing on his toes and gracefully twerking in front of a smiling audience. He moves his hips and spine before swaying his legs and swiping his hips back and forth. Though he's winning his fight, Owen seems to be having a hard time deciding between his twerking and rolling around in the mud. The dreadful Santa verse. Owen gets nervous, trying to feel the music with all his newfound strength. That's all he knows. But he's willing to give it all up. You don't perform the twerk, you feel the twerk. He shakes hard, exhausted, moving faster than everyone around him. The twerk becomes an explosion of movement, a visceral realisation of the moment and the strength of his own body. He becomes swaying in the air, twerking with all his might. A success.

His trailer looks like an otaku room and is decorated with various anime dolls and manga collections. There's a picture of the great wolf Fenrir hanging on the wall. He invites his new children to choose a waifu pillow from his collection. He has one of a spider monstergirl, a pink-haired schoolgirl, Ebola-chan, Plague-chan and Hatsune Miku.

He then explains what the blessings are about, and tells them to choose a new class, if they want to.

This demon will wear a slave collar, as required by the laws of Devapura, to show that it's not harmful to the general population. Moreover, you will be able to cast generic spells related to the concept of corruption."

Clara applauds. "Congratulations, William. This is a really nice class. I'm a demon myself."

Playing around with Clara was fun, and helped the time go by while I waited for Kek to return, when the wheel gave me YET ANOTHER DEMON RELATED CLASS, I fell to my knees in despair.

As the most powerful entity in the multiverse, or so he claims, he often feels unstimulated. Only the mortal life that he experiences in Devapura can entertain him a little bit.

"How can I achieve the Armsmaster class?" Chase asks.

"By finding a proper trainer. Your best bet is to climb fast the ranks of the Adventurer's guild, because they offer all kind of services to their members. I will show you what an Armsmaster looks like."

Loki gives the Armsmaster class to Miyashita Emiya, who was waiting for his blessing.

"An Armsmaster is simply an advanced fighter who has specialized in a few type of weapons."

"But... I don't really like fighting." Emiya answers. "I don't know if it will be very useful."

Shi and Emiya have better things to do and they leave. Eventually, Loki confronts Chase. "Chase, Owen looks exactly like you, and he never talks. Does he happen to be a tulpa or some sort of clone?"

As he asks this questions, a creature appears in front of them. It's a Varakhut, a creature of law with harsh and aggressive shapes and elongated pyramids for arms. The Varakhut brays and howls like a demon with an unrivaled appetite for humans and their meat. It looks in Owen's direction, claws out for a bite. It has to pause before he can speak. "I am Judge Uks, and you have been judged guilty by divine right. You have broken the following law: "Thou shalt not bring divine cheats to Devapura." You are a legal problem, and it is my right to punish you."

Loki jumps from his bed and honks his horn. "Everyone stay calm. This is a very high level town guard. It's likely to kill all of us."

All of the lyrics are written in Latin, but a translation has never been completed.

After the opera is over as the sun sets, Shi give Emiya his jeweled dagger and says: "A gift from me to you. May it protect you when I'm away and it's jewels remind you of the eternal love I have for you."
