Viper tries to free one of the imprisoned beings, but cannot find the leverage.

The platform comes to a circular clearing and makes for a chasm in the center. Over a dozen identical platforms with similar payloads filter into the clearing and make the same move. Before you know it, the platform falls like a rock, plunging into the depths below. Viper's autoreactive talons puncture the floor of the platform to prevent him from flying off. With a sickening crash, the platform connects with a diagonal track and slides diagonally with a horrendous metalic shriek. The room is filled with a cacophony of crashes and terrible keening wails, ringing out and rebounding like a chaotic chorus of the damned, a final death knell for the shades for the heinous dead. The platforms come to a halt at the very bottom of the abyss. The platforms are all assembled in rows and collumns, facing a giant gate. In front of the gate stands a giant figure, nearly fifteen feet tall.

It is a terrible sight to behold, seemly wrought from black iron, the titan is as ornate as it is repulsive, with the heads of countless beasts covering the baroque surface of its exoskeleton. It possesses four arms replete with taloned hands and a wickedly sharp scorpionesque tail. It's face is a strangely beautiful countenance of a woman's face frozen into an imperious sneer, and it's piercing blue optics regard the assembled mass of platforms.

The Titan's vox crackles to life before it speaks:

The thing is, Robo-Skeleton, cool. Robotic Boss from Bayonetta, also cool. Robo-Cat is, in my opinion, a cool thing to look at, a cool thing to fight, and a cool thing to fight alongside, but certainly not cool to be. Do you feel me? It's made even less cool by the fact that it is most certainly not randomly chosen, but specifically picked out as one of the few things that I wouldn't want to play, whether or not you knew it. I would not mind being a sentient, immobile rock so long as I could communicate, for example.

The gate is wrenched open much too quickly for something of it's size and before you can process the motion the platform has already been flung through. You enter a bizarre dreamscape filled with fractal blue shapes and wireframes, occasionally you catch glimpses of portals leading to different places you can't quite make out. Eventually, your platform reaches its destination.
